"Yeah, I know. Right. They had a lot of they got rid of athletic director because he was invited to a duck hunting trip down on the coast. And they fired him because they said he accepted a free duck hunting trip. That's ridiculous. Considering all the rafters. It has occurred in that state House. They had a rainy day fund and so many $1 million in case of tragedy hit and spent every dime of it. So when a hurricane and all hit, latest have any money to do anything. That's amazing. Hey, thank you so much for the call. We really appreciate it. That's a great story. You never know what you're going to hear. Well, we are at the end of the for the first half hour. We still have 30 minutes to go. If you want to give us a ring, we are coming back with much, much more. You are listening to the Paul fine bomb show podcast. 25 minutes remaining in the show. We will be here all day tomorrow. On good Friday. Jerry is up next in Dallas. Hello, Jerry. Hello, Paul. This is just an idea that I have been thinking about and I've never heard anyone address it. And I hear about saying about one super conference in one commissioner and just taken off and just be 50, 60 teams and all that kind of stuff. But I've never heard anybody thinking of the teams that might rise up because of this. And the transfer. And that's like Harvard. Yale, Princeton. I don't know how well you keep up with the ice hockey, but Harvard competes at the highest level in la Heinz hockey. And the reason they do this because they can't compete. They can recruit there. But you look at what Stanford does and the packed tents in that league, they compete anyway. And the I will say this year, Jerry, I have no doubt if Harvard and Yale wanted to compete at a high level they could. They had great success in basketball, Harvard has in particular. But in football, they don't compete at the power 5 level. And I don't think they're going to change that because they are content. They play a lot of Friday night games. They play I've never been to it. I've had friends who have gone to the Harvard Yale game. They tell me it is unlike anything they've ever seen. In terms of the competitive nature for something you wouldn't expect, but I think the commitment, sure they could afford it, Harvard and Yale are two of the richest endowments. They may be the richest. But I don't think they would ever make that commitment because it would just, it almost goes against the principles of the university. Well, I agree with you, except as you just step back and just evaluate what they do like in ice hockey. They recruit. And I totally agree with you, but it's also takes a lot fewer people and I'm not saying it's impossible, but it is possible if they chose to, but I think that I think the Ivy League schools, even schools like Michigan Stanford, you mentioned, I think they're going to be challenged by this because it means making a commitment to athletics where a lot of these places, especially out west, I'm not sure they're going to be comfortable doing it. Yeah. Well, I just think it takes like Bezos and the money he's got. He's got an ego, obviously. And he decides to pour some money into the team. Bingo. There you go. Oh yeah, no, we're talking. A 178 last time I checked. A $1 billion. He could do whatever he wanted to do if he decided. I am telling you, they can do it if they want to. The question is, do they want to? Yeah. Yeah. I got you. They got the resources. That's what I was just thinking. Somebody rises up, but they can do it. Well, say, hey, thank you very much for the call. I appreciate it. We are going to talk next to bubba, who is in North Carolina. Hella bubba. We'll shake and bottle. We are doing great. Thank you. Hey, I enjoyed your little tidbit about Pete Rose there. Old Charlie hustle. He was one of my heroes when I played little league as a kid. Brings back a lot of memories. I got to tell you one more thing. So, you know, he got run out of baseball because of gambling. And we are sitting here. We're sitting there in the back room of some casino in Vegas. I don't remember what it was. And there's a TV on and to show you how, you know, he talked about never gambling and he had moved on. He's putting a bed down while we're watching and he's betting on an NIT game. That's how desperate he was to gamble. Pete Rose with gamble on which server got to the table first with your drinks. Oh, absolutely. And that was before gambling was considered an addiction. But him and you remember Reggie Jackson, well, I know. Oh yeah. Do you remember the rage he can be more than came out with back in the day? I do. I sure do. That was cool. I haven't seen one of those in years at this brought back a lot of memories. And oh, and I may have finally told the truth today. If he ever told it in his life, when he told you that he absolutely did not care what anybody thought of him, it's a known fact after he sent that glamour shot in the other day. Yeah, no, there's no way you could care if you allowed that to be shown. And I don't always agree with legend, but I love him today as he's a great collar. He won the bracket. He's the man. Elvis is in the building. But here's a Samsung auggie I thoroughly enjoyed that today, but I will say this to legend, who was Jimbo Fisher addressing last year before the season, was it boosters or alumni? Club in Houston. Yes. And he told him that he came to Texas a and M to kick Alabama's ass. That's exactly right. And Nick Saban laughed and said, what? It golf. Well, after the ball game was over, Nick, I guarantee you wouldn't think about going golfing with Jimbo..

"Years later, he would be back in some way, shape or form. And I always thought that Pete's way back. Would have been to take the same approach to gambling. And talk about the scourge of gambling and how it can tear a family apart or it could tear a career apart. And that it's it's addictive, and it's something that just That that Tears you down. It's something that is very dangerous if you can't get a handle on it. To the point where You being a top flight? World Class Hall of Fame hitter involved in the highest levels of the game, leading to a managerial career. Where you're now managing people. Try and even get close to your level of outstanding excellence and use your Entire Mental roller, Dex and mental And you all your memories and all your experiences to bring that to bear on a nightly basis. Where might and night out your living and dying on every pitch. That's not enough for you. To scratch your itch. That competitive aspect is not enough. You got to put something on it. Monetarily. And just Point out to people. But that's a problem. In other words, the same approach that Mickey Mantle took to alcoholism towards the end of his life. If he had done that on that tour. Become the face of gambling is not for you. Because it wasn't for me can be for some But if it reaches a certain level Help me help you write books about it. If he had taken that approach. I think he'd be back. Never did. Never ever. Yeah. And I know There's still a large faction of people out there. I think it's still shouldn't matter. Because what he did when he was playing. Was still so far and away superior than most any other human being. Stepped in the batter's box. And hit a moving object. Then it Then we have ever seen. Ever and that alone deserves for him to be in the Hall of Fame and that he broke the rule of betting on games. As a manager. Although he's betting on his own games, that's still something that you know is Is still out there. The fact that Charlie Hustle did it. What? How he did it when he was part of the big Red machine and all those years and the we's kids in Philadelphia. Remember that? Just look at this photo that was him just had had, you know the way he played the game. You don't see people play the game like this now, hair waving helmet gone because he's diving headfirst into home plate here and to first on a walk all that well into obliterated, catch her and that it should not matter that he should be in the Hall of Fame, and it's a baseball hall of Fame and museum, So put it on his plaque. He signed that document and the guy who he made the deal with died a week later. Keith Olbermann was at the press conference at Bar Giamatti's press conference. Oh, man, that's one of those things to hurt, so I'm sitting around, you know Smith, Sean Mitchell of Crack Rich Ivan Show. Producer. He sends out a list every weekend of the upcoming weeks. Anniversaries, movie premieres, celebrity birthdays and I saw on the state. 32nd anniversary was nine. This date in 1989 was when Pete Rose is banned for life. 32 years ago. And I thought to myself. Who can we get? And Keith hasn't been on the show in a while. I'm like, Okay now he's not with ESPN anymore. That used to be maybe potentially an impediment. And, um So I just said, you know what? Let's reach out to him. His answer is like, Well, you know, I was at the Jamaat e press conference and I'm like Of course you are. Figures. Yeah Figures. This is the guy who when I first started at ESPN I did a SportsCenter with him. It was one of the rare instances where he wasn't at the planning meeting the ideas meeting as they called it, That's how a day would start. I don't know if it still does there, but you do the 11 o'clock eastern SportsCenter. There would be an ideas meeting at like, three in the afternoon or something like that. Two in the afternoon. Forget what time it was. Keith was always there whenever you did a show with him because he was basically like the executive editor of SportsCenter. Certainly for that night that you're on the show. It's walking. And what do you have? What do you think? What should it be? You know, whatever. Least it was when I was there and certainly when I was in the room is a fresh wet behind the ears straight from Redding, California SportsCenter anchor. And so we, you know, everyone would defer to what he thought. He wasn't there for this meeting, and I remember Producer guy named Bill Fairweather. Billy Fairweather. I mean, like, literally straight from Central casting out of the garden. His voice and everything. And in one of the all time great hangout guys after the show. Oh, But anyway, so the idea was Hey. Um Let's do a home cooked pieces, the phrase that we use, which meant where there's going to Do it right it and then sometimes the Anchor would write it or producer would write it in the anchor would track it if depending on how busy the night went. On the greatest game seven performances by a goalie and Stanley Cup final history because we were right there. I think it was prepared for a game seven. Could have been a Patrick Wa versus Martin Bro Door. Game seven or something like that. My memory's kind of hazy about this. So like, hey, let's do tomorrow night. That's that. That's what we got. Let's do a home cooked piece on what's the greatest game seven. Performances it Stanley Cup history by going We were just thrown out. You know, how about this one about Billy Smith? The Islanders? Whatever. But we were all kind of at a loss. Um and and and at some point it was just like we got to move on with the meeting. Fairweather. I will just ask Ko when he comes in. And I'll never forget like this is just a couple of months of me being on SportsCenter and I'm sitting at this desk. He used to be. The old control of the old newsroom was like a mission control set up so It would be like.

They give you like a day wrote tv. You can see the corner that little little Window they have on your cell that little door Like a pussy strike her. And i just remember looking shit That's what it said in on like in my head. I was really going to a dog. This is how childish was at the time in my head. I was going like you know. What dog i think these fools are gonna come. Bail me out for one day. Go tell jokes the private. Let me back in. What a dumb ass probably happens. Listen i felt shitty. When i got out but now i hold that prison sentence like dear to my heart. It's like a metal apron because without that fucking metal. I would have never ended up here. It was an i listen. I knew prison was in the college when you throw enough spaghetti against the wall. It's gonna stick. And i was doing a crime every fucking day every day. I did a felony something a misdemeanor. I did something i cry. j. Walked i did something when you do something every day. Eventually so i knew. I knew when i was like twenty three and i would have police. Contact go someday. This is going to get more serious. And i didn't know if i was going to be thirty. Three forty three or fifty three. So i'm happy it happened. I was twenty three when i was twenty. Four i got pinched for the kidnapping twenty four and i did the time kidnapper. I know a kidnap. They're older and they get younger people. You're younger person kidnapped the older person. That's crazy who is a fucking bad day already can honestly like you throw him. Fuck in the trump george when you're doing a crime fucking thanking you know i'd done thousand crimes and as you're doing it you know what the fuck you're doing okay. You know what you're doing you know that it's bad you pray for the best with data day with me. It's funny because i went to the dentist last week. And they gave me guess. I asked for the gas and the doctor asked him was the last time you got gas. They put like a little pig nose with two little things in in your nose and didn't really fucking work that good but the last time i did gas. Was the dad kidnapped. I got gas that morning and then that afternoon. I can't blame the gas you know. I could have probably got off but i was like i say nothing because i did it. I did it. If i get another excuse alma do it again. I'm going to keep doing this after they arrested me. I gotta be honest with you. I was happy. I was happy that it came to an end. Like at karma was going to change so they would give me probation. Ninety day work release. I would have learned my lesson. I just knew. I never wanted to be in those fought in in that fucking sal again. I just knew it. But i knew that that was gonna happen to me. I'm not gonna sit here and tell you that. I didn't know i was going to go to prison. I knew i wasn't a go. I quit high school. I didn't have a diploma once. You ain't got a diploma. You're on the fast track to prison. Ain't got a ged. Yeah you ain't got a high school diploma you're on the fast track or need is a knuckle tattoo or you need is like a tattoo on your neck or one year knuckles and your official. Yeah that's it your official they. They're gonna throw you in jail eventually. That comes at the fucking program. So when i got when they told me i was going to press. Yeah i was a little upset but not really george. I knew was coming as long as you know. It's coming and you know the day is going to. You know i was okay with it and i'm proud that i did my time. I'm proud that i went up in front of that. Judge and didn't leave didn't talk. People were saying leave. Leave the country. Come back in twenty years. You know what man. I wanted my life to move forward and i want to you know i wanted to go somewhere. I always wanted my life to go somewhere. i did. Thirty is a comic. But i really took me thirty years to become a man. George comedy got me to the spot. Today where i am all that comedy and dealing with people you know when you when you jump into comedy you gotta work hard you know. I was talking about pete. Rose's morning how. I patterned my comedy career after charlie hustle right up. You know you gotta hustle. That word in the seventies was huge. They even wrote a song about it. Do to hustle. It was huge. That song that word was huge in the seventies early eighties. It's not used anymore. Assulin parceling hustling a fucking thing that you put in your soul and you'll never miss a meal air. It will never miss a meal who guy was. Immigrants emigrants immigrants fossil dog. You gotta hustle. Because if you don't hustle so with comedy anything i did. I added that hospital but that hustle was built in the seventies. This country was huge. That word was huge in the seventies. You don't hear it no more now. It's getting hustled. Yeah now nobody hustles no more. And it's a very easy concept to add to your life. It means that you ain't stopped and when you have to like. I remember talking to dahmer moreira one day. We're talking to my basketball when you play basketball. And you're you're serious basketball does know sitting on the couch. There's no fucking sitting around. Because you gotta think. "Oh, um, by the way he had 40 44 from Charlie Hustle is pretty solid. And so I'm thinking 43 years ago. So what you're talking about 1978 is when that went down. Uh, thank you were talking individual records Team program records Any Robert Kyle Ripken's Cal Ripken's record of what over 2001? 100. Some odd games played. I mean, no one's ever even going to come close to that. I don't even know like I mean, I don't even know what it is even close to right now. I feel like a hit streak, though more impressive to me than games played because you can still be playing games. Maybe when you're not maybe you know, Ripken aside, you could still be on the field and maybe not necessarily, you know, but we also Lipkin did it on a pretty high dam level rights. Eventually, he was great. I mean, it wasn't I mean, I know I see you shaking your head, but it wasn't like he was Baton 1 97. They're like, Let's just bring up Cal out there. Right? Right. That's why I say, you know, ripped in aside, but I feel like in other arenas, other situations. Yeah, I feel like that that his streak I can't think of one off the top of my head. That's more impressive than that. I mean, like, even like you look at the numbers that Shohei Otani is starting to put up. You know, you could see something kind of going chaotic and baseball and seeing the home run record go. Even stolen base record RB, But, yeah, I mean, the longevity ones are the ones nobody is going to get not only 56 Democrat. No one's going to get there because DiMaggio didn't have the same media A. I don't know how many people were going to be able to go through all that. I mean, I feel like If we get to 35, we're going to cut into every single at bat anymore. That's someone's even close to that. So to pretty much unbreakable records. DiMaggio's 56, of course, a Cal Ripken's streak going forward what else we got, Jake? Okay. With all the talk about Simone Biles Novak Djokovic is being overlooked with the opportunity to join Steffi Graf as the only people to ever win ever every grand slam of the year and a gold medal in the same year. He failed to even metal, get a meltdown and ditched his mixed doubles partner. Peter, What are your thoughts on this? I was just shocked about that, because it seemed like every person that lives off of trolling on Twitter had had to get off their hot takes on Simone Biles and at least bile said, Listen, I'm not right in the head like I'm going to withdraw. I'm going to give my teammates and opportunity. To bring home and they brought home the silver,.

Oh yeah he couldn't he couldn't really couldn't palm the ball very well because he had kind of arthritic fingers. Ao dunk the ball holding hands so he was never never a threat like that but he became a three point threat. Dan nelson had him shooting up. Three crazy are on me. I remember him very well. You would have been had to add fifty pounds to yeah and and and he everywhere we went. Everybody loved him. He played at the university of for air and everybody loved them. Chris mullin's brother played with a bridgeport. And then it. When i when i met him playing with the sixers with charles barkley and ricky mahorn and they they would they would attack and throw them on the ground with seven it would take all his tape and they'd make 'em like a mummy third he'd be swearing adam arabic kids. He was quite a you know. I could imagine you know and i think that's what's great about what you're doing. Is that when you take time and you write a book about somebody you get to know all these incredible details about people and it lets you. Ah people like you bring them really to life for those right because we know manute bol. Is this guy like you said blocked shots in the nba. But your books tell us a great story about them and and and it brings them to life for all of us. So i thank you for doing all that i mean. I mean you've written a an amazing amount of books on on some athletes. So what was your most intriguing. One that you've done to you. I don't know that priority. I mean ted. Williams did a book on ted williams and he was kind of an idol and he was really liked to talk to reporters and people did he. He not a plane. He was fine And he was a guy and he boomed things out everybody should he resembled john wayne was like john win. Affect for better than any man drift of swear colorful. He's been great. Yeah well i. That's awesome so we knew wrote about evil knievel. Did he let you get on his bikes and do a jump now. If it was. He was gone. When i when i wrote about you he was gone already. Yeah yeah so. Did you get to talk to his son. I talked to. I talked all these guys in hung around with and he was kind of. It was not the world's greatest person you know. I mean really. Yeah now i mean. He made it. He bought a lot of money that he never paid back in he. He wound up with other guys wives and yours. My gosh it was a kind of conman kind of guy. He wasn't a real good guy but he had that one thing i mean he had he had testicles to size appellation mountains. That'd be great. He didn't i mean is it do it now. "Nancy's out here today. Oh, well, okay. Ruling from Eric and Vince, are we gonna allow Bill Huggins to take Nancy spot? Do you think we should I'm 100% Okay with that. I believe, build integrity and No doubt about it. Okay. I'm still salty about his education on the We're car, but no more than anybody should know about hot dog cards from from that last one. So, Bill, it looks like you're going to be in now. Here's an item that that Was gonna be in the which ended higher and it didn't make the cut. John L. Patty Driscoll signed 1958 Bears Team card sold for $450 in the May oxen. Penny Driscoll died in 1968 at the age of 73. He was like a quarterback halfback back at the time when you you know, it was in the old days when one of his highlights is he was the best. Drop kicker of his day. When was the last time there was a drop kick in in a pro football game? I wonder when that Wass remember Flutie. Doug Flutie kicked an extra point doing that that might have been the last foot about that's very possible. But he was one of the best players in the NFL. He played from 1920 29. He played for the Chicago Cardinals and the Bears and went to Northwestern. Elected to the Hall of Fame in 65 College Football Hall of Fame in 74. He also coached for the Bears, so that was kind of interesting, but it didn't make the cut for which ended higher. So it's a It's tough. It's tough to make the cut for that. That's all I can say about that. What now you can tweet my Twitter ideas. T Crown Tom And if you like, you can tweet a picture of an item that you think might be valuable to my attention either. During the week or during the show, we'll try to use it on the show Wally on Twitter. This was kind of interesting but not really valuable tweeted a picture of his surf certification of my presence at Milwaukee County Stadium. Friday night, August 11th 1961 for Warren spans 300. The victory to toe won over the Cubs. This was about the size of a driver's license. That he had? No. I had seen a scorecard from that game with that little driver's license size thing on Ly sold for like 50 $51 on eBay. So that really valuable but still pretty cool. "But I think that this obsession that we have to raise the inflation rate 22% when I can find no serious work that stays unless you have a collapse in price level like we had in the Great Depression, running an inflation rate that's half a percent or so lower on average than 2% is a bad thing, and that we have to elevate the inflation rate. I find that a curious and It's somewhat misplaced Obsession, and John Ed goes to the heart of your work over all these decades. Is there any proof that the central banking quote unquote catch up with elevated inflation? Well, you know, I was tracking Tio Charles Plosser. You obviously know him a former federal zone, a show the other day. On the show the other day, and I chatted to him after your show. Um and he made the point Disappointed I create with that if you haven't been able to hit And inflation target and you keep on saying that that's what you want to accomplish. Then you are in danger of undermining your credibility when it perhaps comes to other important things, I think tremendously. Tremendously important point because if there's no economic damage being done by an inflation rates of 1.5% in fact, there may be economic benefits. I don't know that Any if you tap a personal on the streets, socially distance somewhere in mass, and awesome is the inflation rate too low for you. I don't know many people would say, Oh, yes, it's too low. I'd liketo have my the purchasing power of Lee. Dollars in my pocket eroded more quickly. I don't know anyone who would do that. And yet there is. This is academic view that the Fed that somehow the economy performed better a 2% inflation rate over time that I don't want a 1.5% inflation rate son hold on here because the idea, especially as United States adds more and more debt on his companies at more and more debt. The whole theory is that we could inflate away thes debt loads that basically the rate of Elation will make money cheaper, so it'll be easier to pay back this debt. What are the consequences? If that doesn't happen? How much do taxes have to go up? Especially if we don't see growth pick up at a faster speed that it is now. But you will not find that theory smiles at the Fed. You will not find people of the Fed who say the reason we wanted higher inflation rate is to inflate away the debt because over time, what do we get? We get the fissure equation from Irving Fisher. We get higher inflation expectations and that will push up interest rates and that's something the Fed would resist. So the Fed would then have to buy more more debt through Q E. And that has the potential to be a dangerous viral. So not the Fed thinks the economy work better if people believe the inflation rates going to be 2%. The funny thing is our studies that show it was a very, very comprehensive study, 26,000 people responded to the study. 40% of them thought that the inflation rate was 10% or higher. The public in general don't really understand the nuances of inflation. I'm certainly not the measurement nuances between a one or 1.5% inflation rates in a two per cent. Johnny got time for one more question. We're seeing an unraveling in the real yield. The 10 year tips just hit a new low. Negative 1.6 folks. The 30 year bond 1.19 handle right now, do you have in your mind what the Fed does. If we get a gamma, we get a convict city. We get an acceleration. And the decline of the real yield. Well, I explained that in a note that way put out on Friday, which and it goes back to the Fisher equation, which is the Fed is trying to repress through zero interest rate policy in Q E. The nominal yield, and it's doing that quite successfully 52 basis points that they They're trying to get people to believe in a higher inflation rate on people are believing in a higher inflation and so inflation expectations are moving up inflation breaking Mr Wolfinger on the Fed. Can't repress that They want that to go higher So they're left with the really yield, which is the residual, which have to be forced negative, so I don't believe really yield of negative 1% is somehow truly a growth reading for the outlook for the US over the next 10 years. It is a residual from a combination of interest rate repression on the nominal yield on rising inflation expectations, which is also an active fed. Policy. Just what you just heard. They're from Mr Riding is definitive riding. And this is so important. John is the is the real yield the residual of the function, Or does it initiate the function? John that is the arch debate of modern economics from riding. Bring Capital jump, Tessa to catch at least Tom. This extends to having fishes work on wages as well. Remember, his work would always talk about nominal wage growth was more important than really Yes for people. That's really what your weight is goes up in nominal terms is a much more real experience for you. But when it goes up, so so, so important, folks, it is seared in the mind of the United Kingdom. When you hear me talk about Clement Atlee Deflation John. This was the collapse of the wage in the United Kingdom in some really, really tough times that's not envisioned for the United States in 2020 But it is a legacy of fear. That's out there. The drugs policy. It's not. But I think something else you'll mention as well. Tell him it's really important, just the monopoly that certain ideas have in academia and in central banking right now. I'm one of them is the higher inflation is good and disinflation is bad, And I think if there's any criticism of the central banks of the moment, Tom it's just that we don't have alternative opinions. There's a lot of group thing, and I thought it was really refreshing to have Charlie Hustle on the program last week, you said you remember the days of the old Fed just 10 years ago or so when we had the likes of Richard Fisher and Charlie Plaza, giving the alternative view. Constantly every single FOMC meeting. I think that's healthy and it's absent of the moment. It's very important. But with the force majeure, almost jump conditions we've got in GDP aggregate demand. The labor market etcetera is real hard to get a group thinking everybody for themselves meeting to meeting from New York City this morning. Good morning alongside some cane, at least promise. "Time may come to you at some other time during the day. Because obviously we're all different time zones so that's just the way it works just got done speaking with prep former major league baseball player. Good friend of mine. A heck of a guy great stories. Good stuff all around It's pretty cool when you hear about him. Growing up as a kid in the clubhouses. Isn't it Mike? Oh I can listen to that kind of story all day long appears there are some chips or something. Just just listen those stories. I love that kind of stuff. Absolutely no I agree. It's good stuff and it's you know at this point in time. It's literally the best thing possible for us to Kinda reminisce and think about some of those Generational ballplayers and Pete. Rose was definitely one of those guys and love them like them hate them. Whatever however you feel you can't you cannot take away. Charlie Hustle. I mean that that just it is what it is and that's how I always remember him the same way that Brett mentioned him as just this guy that was just non stop and just so into the game and obviously love the game and it was interesting to hear about breath talking about him losing a little bit of love for the game too. So you know. I think that that happens with all of us in any career to be honest with him. I I mean people are teachers for a long long time and then all of a sudden they decide to stop. People are tennis players and all of a sudden they decided to stop or whatever it is. It's just sometimes it's just the grind is too much for you and you just need a break from it and you gotta step away kind of cool to hear though that even when you lose your love of your passion for something. Like bread. Did a couple of years later. He regained it and he got right back on the saddle and I think that that's what competitors do Mike Exactly. What competitors and like. I said sometimes you just need a break. And sometimes outbreak helps you refocused and and and get that love Back get back. It's for the game and You know I mean that's it sound simple but sometimes that's all it takes is just a step away to what you really. Yeah it's amazing and speaking of competitors you threw it out there a little while ago about how you posted. Something vowed Lebron James and Michael Jordan. And you're wondering how the matchup ends up so let me ask you. How does the match offend up? Who Wins and why to me? I'm taking NJ Nj All Day. The killer instinct. Like he doesn't care. You are in care who who were He was GONNA win regardless you is GonNa play until he won You know his defense into nasty. There's just Kinda to me overall game now. Not something like she has a passer so to speak big like Magic Johnson or something like that but you know just just overall game determination for me would be Lebron. If they're look that they're playing to eleven by one that you gotTa Win by Q. And he'd probably love the five. Wow as it make it. Take it as well or what they did. You know. So you know Jamaica take it if you make the bucket then you keep plan otherwise you've turned it over then it's other guys right so generous down. I mean by that. Make take it. Yeah Okay I love you. Okay so you think. Mj Wins. Basically two to one is what you're trying to say and you know what I don. I don't necessarily disagree with that. Here's what I'm going to say and I I think when you when you talk about these two guys. They're they're they're similar but they're quite different. Lebron James was really all about getting a and I'm not saying was because he still is. He's all about getting his teammates involved and You know he he sometimes would defer in moments where Michael wouldn't differ but with that being said you would. Both of these guys rely heavily on their teammates. Think about the big shots at John. Paxson made think about the big shots. Craig Hodges made Think about What Ron Harper had to from Steve Kerr absolutely so I? I think it's just about when you're talking one on one it. It's hard for me to imagine. Mj going down to Lebron in a one on one game. Because Michael was you know the killer and like you said he had that killer instinct and I just think it's. It's a difficult one so I'm GonNa go with you on this. I I like I like MJ to win this game. And I don't know if it's eleven to five a I don't care what the score is. I think he winds up winning that. That's all I know when they go to this next one with you so you put this post about. Who are the three best players On this list and you had magic you got coby got Kareem got allows you on you. Got Tim Duncan I believe he got Bill Russell. I think you've got will chamberlain. You Got Larry. Bird and check. If I'm not mistaken right so out of those three guys out of those nine guys. Who's your three my three. Well I know one of them's GonNa be bird for sure And my I think I went bird. Bird cody and Corinne As much as allies Yuhuan lies. Want my favorite center growing up but Kareem had the one shot. You couldn't defend the hook shot and you know you have that weapon in your bag and you know look I mean. I don't know why Corinne doesn't get as much talk as it shared about. Being the greatest of all time I mean you have the greatest shot of all signs that you couldn't do anything couldn't block. It could stop it And you know but for me I mean this is. This is a top list. I mean all the guy I'll commented on it and we've had a lot of people we've got over almost fifty five hundred. People engage with this post You know I I've had over five thousand different types of comments you know. I've had people go bird Magic Karim. I've had I think you know will I? I saw somebody go will Shaq and Kobe. Like you know. You really can't go wrong. It's just I it just comes down to people's personal preferences Right right it's all subjective. I got you my subjectivity. Tells Me Wilt Kareem I think that those two guys were just ridiculous and For for many reasons Just just unbelievable basketball players and then what am I. Check you with this one. Maybe maybe not but then. I'm going to take magic. I think that Those three guys to me are extremely important to the game of basketball. And it's not that the other guys weren't obviously Kobe. His impact shack at his impact. Bird has had his impact as well But if I'm GONNA take the top three that I think are just the flat out best. I'm going with will Kareem and magic. That's my list. Let's go to this next one. Nfl coaching you've got Lombardi Palace Wall and Bella. Check as your Mount Rushmore. And is that an order. I'm just curious is that is that like one two three and four for you now..

"Rb Computing Web bowl for today at Jimmy? Jam Should Pete Rose be reinstated. Now Pete Rose is filed for reinstatement statement to Major League baseball because of the handling of the Astros signed stealing scandal is that opened the door pete rose to be reinstated and thus be considered for the hall of fame. Does it change anything at all. Basically Pete Rose's stepping up today and saying to Major League Baseball. Hey Hey you're not banning them for life. Why am I banned for life right right so you know? Maybe the guy doesn't have a point I guess. But here's the thing with Pete rose it has been so long now and so much in the news about this every year it comes up every year at some point in the year it comes up about Pete Rose Somehow someway a you know someone breaks a record or his base stealing deal or whatever and it always comes up and everyone says the same thing. No No. You're not getting in if they put him in. Now though. Steve if you were Pete rose would you really want to be put in there now and and so he gets put in this year and and then everyone who walks through the hall of fame. Everyone's GonNa Walk to but let me tell you about. PM Rolls Okay. His He needs an open heroes. Okay so I say if I don't WanNa go in there. I think the reason it won't happen. Is that think about it for a SEC. Pete rose is asking for. Reinstatement the Major League Baseball. And he's basically saying that because of Major League Baseball's dumb decision to not ban all the Houston Houston Astros for life. The way they did. Pete rose therefore I should not be banned for life. Or you're asking Major League baseball to do. There is admit that the astro punishment I was dumb. Major League. Baseball is GONNA do that like if Pete Rose has any hope of this. Don't deal with Major League Baseball. The only way he can get this done I think a court of law. Yeah well maybe on the other hand you know the guy has a point guys appoint. I just don't think Major League Baseball is gonNA listen to it. Well there's certainly going to do it right away. That's for sure. But someone's GonNa come in you know what we've got an issue here. I will say this I think Pete rose. I'm definitely understanding why he's doing doing this. I just don't think you'll have any legs stand on with Major League Baseball. Yeah and and Pete. Rose's infraction was betting on sports betting on baseball. All and to me that leaves open a whole massive can of worms. That's that to me is worse than cheating. I think so too. cheaters are trying to win. That's right that's the that's the deal I've always had with Pete. Rose it goes. Well I bet I only bet on our team did you really. Did you really. Who knows right and it doesn't matter either? The only way that that would have any legs is if he bet on his team every single game of his managerial career. Otherwise what are you telling the betting community dirty on the days. You don't bet on your team even if you're betting on your own team to win by twenty runs I every single time it's still the optics are horrible. And you can't have it. And and every major sport has to clamp down on it and throw the book at Major League Baseball did regardless of what happened with the Houston Astros and regardless of what. The decision was in the punishment. I don't blame baseball for keeping their heels dug in So some of the feedback we got on this poll meltdown. Radio Radio Meltdowns. CKC You Charlie. Hustle is eight dollar haircut. They belong in Cooperstown set. Says it's a bad haircut Well it's not hair. Jim Set writes yes. Do you want to elaborate on that at all Jim bus driver Bruce Russillo one writes yeah. It's been long enough but do it with an asterisk just like the steroid guys put them all in be done with it. Aroma bean rights rose should be in the hall with a big asterisk beside his name for why he's banned from baseball the MLB screwed up the chance to send a message to all the cheaters. Their punishment of the Astros rose is a joke. Their championship should be voided and have asterisks everywhere. He likes the asterisks. You can't do that if you start doing that. Steve is like Jim Jerome in the hall of fame although he was four hundred home run home run shy and a bunch of wins short of it. So we'll put a little star beside him but we're GONNA put them in villains. Just put it in a house of villains at the hall and then just be like should we go in there. Oh kids away from come away from there while he probably the most popular popular place at Cooperstown if you had a hall of villains or how civilians whatever hockey lobster rights put them in the hall already snipe and Chirp if the Astros can keep their championships ships. I don't see how they cannot reinstate him and Sean Blackburn writes he needs to be in the hall. Rose is a great story in the Major League Baseball history straight. Thank you for all your feedback today. Ladies and gentlemen but will the Astros get to keep their championship. We don't know yet. Thank roses thing is have been no players who've been banned for life out of this whole thing even though they've been some really really guilty party us again. I really do you want to go in now. And everyone's going to fucking cheater. The Web Paul is presented by RB computing..

"And the Navy afterwards making go field her ping sir tiles take a living rick. tittle wants through a tennis ball at his donkey. All right we got the rule five here a lot of teams past the first four teams did select. The Tigers took Rony Garcia from the Yankees pitcher. The Orioles took Brandon Bailey. Who we we thought would go from the Astros? The marlins took Sterling Sharpe not wide receiver about the pitcher from the nationals. The royals pitcher Stephen Woods from the raise bluejays Jays Pass Mariners Take Johan Ramirez pitcher from the Astros Pirates Pass padres pass rockies pass Angels Pass White Sox past the reds let's take outfielder Mark Payden who for the as last year AAA hit three thirty four with thirty home runs and the as did not to protect him Then the giants took Danny Jimenez from the Blue Jays and he has to stay. He's a relief pitcher and of course he has to stay up the entire year And last year at Overall in the minors and an era Oh when he got called up he N. E. R. A. In the Of three point five five but in the Dominican Winter League is is eighteen eighteen. So that's probably one game. He's pitched in all. But Danny Jimenez is twenty five years old six foot three one ninety relief pitcher who was playing for Rangers Pass then the phillies selected the mile mckean from the cubs and then the as immediately I guess the Israeli wanted him. They immediately traded for him. And this is an infielder now. They traded cash by the way. And this is a guy who went to Virginia Commonwealth. He's twenty twenty six years old. He's a Puerto Rican native but last year at Double A. He hit three eighty six. The as do do not have a second baseman so via mail Macci seen. He's up with the club now. That doesn't work out. They sell tell him back. But that's very interesting. The as thank you could be there second baseman next year. They wouldn't have taken him. This isn't a draft pick. This is a rule five pick sustain. Stay in your team. The whole year the cubs selected. Trevor McGill from the padres right handed pitcher. And then I think about the cubs are gonNA GONNA use against padres. Can't protect and the Red Sox took a shortstop named Jonathan Arose. Remember that name from the Astros. Everybody else passed Bax Mets brewers cardinals cardinals. Nationals Indians raise braves as because they had their guy twins Yankees dodgers and Astros. Let's go to my man the my main man Freddie what's going on Freddie wowed dodgers and the Asterix I no longer acknowledged him as the Astros. They are now forever in my books the Houston Asterix. Astor it's asterix like there's Asterik in sports ALMANAC macbooks forever and ever asterisks. Yes so with that being said I don't know what's touch a little bit. What about the whole twenty seventeen in twenty nine thousand nine hundred of the Houston Astros Asterix What do you what do you think what should happen correct? I mean the death penalty too much will never do that As far as I'm giving up fixing money being forked over. I'm sure that's going to happen. I don't know if players are going to be tarnished forever like good old Charlie Hustle which should never been tarnished like that the gambling but yet we got these guys here blatantly cheating and I've been caught red handed and yet I still haven't heard much what Major League baseball is GonNa do to these guys up. You know with the season as in coming up with Spring training coming up so What are your thoughts on that I mean? How would you feel if your team was in that position nine? The dodgers were somewhat outplay. That years while the Astros are loaded team but when you got a high heat or coming from Canada Janssen that's GonNa be clearly a ball and you get a signal from the. Oh you know their dugout. What what's coming and you take that thing downtown? ALTOONA WHO's like five to I don't know about that kind of stuff rick so I mean how would you feel what are your take on that. Give me your opinion. I guess you know. Listen it's what Mike Fires said so. It's not exactly set set in stone that this is what happened but then again They'll be some sort of penalty and I would imagine it would be probably a fine and then maybe a personal find for Luneau and then Maybe taken away second round pick. I don't know what do you think I mean for the little guys coming up a little league and looking up to these guys and and and and and you know it Hurts the game you know. We thought we did away with it back and I don't know when the Chicago Black Sox did it or whatever I mean and then there's been cheating throughout all folks sports but just like clearing playing the day just thrown out there. I mean. I'm sure there's a lot of guys you know. Little little guys in baseball in the Texas Houston area that are like wow you know like some of them are like what do we do. Now so I think it's just horrible for the sport. which is a America's pastime As a dodger fan and hurts you know I felt my guy. That's GonNa competed but then again it is what it is I'm glad I'm glad you know went to. That's hard crazy. Seven game series with them and it was a good series and beat them But I feel that. It's it's horrible. I think there should be suspensions Maybe half a season I know maybe a full season might be too much. But I think I'd like Springer and Korea and didn't Berkman Guy Irks me so much and you know I actually applauded brought to you by Bregman Bregman. Yeah Um Amana guy just I mean. I've seen some crazy clip on youtube. There's just no cheating it's like come on man it's like now you're just like watching the game so so hopefully these guys can come forward and I mean if Kobe can have a little press conferences and apologize his wife or eight million dollar ring on TV on ESPN. I mean maybe these guys you do something like that. I mean. I haven't seen anything like that since that incident but I don't know I think it's it's horrible title and it sucks but what it is and we're GONNA continue on March on but Yeah all right Eric Cole Eric Cold overrated rated overpaid Yankees. You're going to get the pirate version of them. So good luck with that. The pirate version was pretty good. He wasn't that great in the last of his piracy by phenomenal for the STROZ. I mean but in great I mean there's no other pitcher out there that that's good and dodgers. Wow I think we signed some guy that for like ten years. I don't know I mean ten million for like a year or two. I don't understand what the treatment is like. I don't understand I really don't break. Just and and the dodger fan it hurts. It really hurts but I mean I guess we'll continue to march on and we'll do our best in spring training around the corner somewhat. What are you going to the last game ever on Sunday? You know I went to the last Thursday night game ever just simply because I'm in the Sacramento area reanalysis hard for the travelling. And I got the little ones but I'm just not really happy. How the team is playing? And it's Kinda sad you know I mean we were talk of at least you know some playoff talk three weeks ago and I think with the Cincinnati game has started with me. We're like wow. We really didn't play well against them. Barely really wanted to step destroyed by the jets and then got handled by the chiefs and then got handled by the titans. A hundred eleven points to like thirty three in the last three games. I don't know as a fan. I guess three words fire. Paul Guenther John. We say something like that. John gruden's the one that hired tired but they're not gonNA fire him. They owe him eight years there for like a hundred hundred years for like eight hundred thousand million trillion dollars. Derek Carr can you please stop throwing out of the end zone on fourth down. You've done that like three times John and doing there so it's just frustration. Rick I love my raiders. Rick I'M GONNA I'm GonNa love the Las Vegas Raider. I'm just GonNa love the raiders period. I know it hurts. You know you know my story I come from. La I'm an La Raider was stoked.
