What Do These Election Results Mean?

"Asked all morning and late into last night as I was doing the commentary on network from both Fox News max and others, you know, what does this mean? Where does it go? Let's just try and sum up where we are. What was very interesting, very good last night if you were coming from a conservative defense. Number one was Florida. Ron DeSantis took a seat in which he won by really .1 .2% four years ago and won by 20 points last night. I mean, it was a complete beatdown in the state of Florida. Now, Charlie Crist was an awful candidate, should have never won. But then again, nobody wanted to run against Ron DeSantis in Florida because Ron had built up a not only a very high profile governorship with keeping the site open, working to keep businesses going. But he also, and there's a beyond the gap there of governance that Ron DeSantis and his administration did very well. And that was he did the administrative part well. I mean, the businesses were kept informed. The schools were kept running, the money was going out, the training, so to speak ground on time. When the hurricane hit, it was, I mean, you'll hear anything out of the Amy and was one of the most devastating hurricanes to hit South Florida on that side of the western side of this in years. And yet, I mean, the bridges are being put back together. People's homes are getting put back together. They've reduced the regulatory burden. And again, the mainstream media has left Florida. If they had not been doing so well far there would be inundated with national press talking about how bad the Sanchez did. And he didn't. He did a great job working that out. Again, now everybody is saying this is now an early referendum on 2024, especially with Donald Trump saying he's going to announce for president next week. Again, I think it makes an interesting case to see what happens. As we go forward here, will desantis take that opportunity to run against Donald Trump while others jump into the race. A lot of the conversation is that that will be true. Again, my heart take this second is just as I just hold on.

Voters Report Problems With Voting Machines

"I know there's a lot of adversity that have gone on. It's basically in the state of Arizona. Some of the polling places, the machines are not working, some of them are completely now some of them only responded to 9% of the vote, do not give up. You have to stay in line. You have to weather the storm. And I told some of y'all to make sure you vote early, make sure if you can't vote early and you can't go on election day, vote by mail. Don't get in the rucks of listening to the Republican talking points. You better get your vote out there because you end up today and stuff happens in adversity happening. It's your only chance to vote. And you walk away from the poll and you go sit at the house, you have just screwed not only yourself but the rest of America. But if you're out there right now, you're thinking about voting, you haven't voted. You haven't voted yet. The only way to the poll make sure you vote, endure to the end, our country is depending on you to vote for what's right. 1300 people that listen to me. And most people are conservative, and we have 18% out of 1300 people say that they did not vote today. I'm encouraging you to do what's right. Shout out to everybody that's given super chats on the YouTube channel. If somebody said something that I can't repeat on the radio or I can't repeat on the YouTube channel in the comments section. You know, I think that there is adversities. It don't make no mistake about it. There are adversities that are coming up at the poll places in the day of voting. You have to endure battle to the end.

How Could You Not Vote?

"I did a poll on the YouTube channel. You know, I got 2 million people on YouTube. I got about 2.7 million. I mean, 2700 people watching live. I haven't gone live in a way. I normally it's like thousands of billion, 30,000, 40,000 people watching live. If it's a big major incident. But we did a poll about voting in like 27% of people said they didn't vote today. And I'm hoping that they're saying it in vote today because they voted early. If we have 27% of people saying that they did not vote in this election. Then we should have 27% of people not complaining about the election. Because you can not complain if you're not voting. You can not complain. Don't waste my time, don't waste your time if you're not going to go to the polls and vote. Don't talk about Biden, don't talk about Trump. Keep your political information to yourself because nobody want to hear it because you're not a participating member of society. And you complain about something in which you don't plan to fix.

Election Updates for Kentucky and New Hampshire

"We're just waiting for some of these things to come in. I'm here for you. I'm here to try to monitor what's going on. We're in the gubernatorial race. If you look at the map right here, scroll over to the state there that has a gubernatorial remarks to it. It's just right now in New Hampshire right now, oh, it's only four votes in. So it's insignificant. They only have four votes in the Republican. I can't even see his name. What is it? That's a weird name. Chris Newton who is winning. Let's go up to some of the other races and look at them. Let's go up there and forget the house. Let's go to the Senate. Let's see anything that happened in Kentucky. So we got Kentucky results here and it looked like Rand Paul is ahead. There's only been about 4700 votes counted Rand Paul has 76% of the votes over Charles Booker in Kentucky. They got a long way to go in Kentucky. He's not even close. But right now we have, who is Rand Paul, we have Rand Paul winning in Kentucky. Let's go to New Hampshire up there at the top and see what New Hampshire got. A New Hampshire only 5 votes in right now. New Hampshire got 5 votes and all the votes have gone to what is that? Maggie Hassan. Hassan, Maggie Hassan, that's who it is in this all the Democrat. So not enough to give any feedback there.

Why Exercising Your Right to Vote Matters

"I've been I've been speaking about how we need to diversify the way we vote. We can not just only wait and rely on election day. I told you all that, then we look out here in Maricopa County and we have some voting places that the machines are not working properly. And people are literally having to wait hours for them to rectify the situation. And some people are walking away from the polls. Now, when this happens on voting day and you were not prepared and you're not ready to endure and you walk away with your only chance to vote, then there is a problem. However, my focus, my mission is to convey to you that we will overcome any adversity that goes on today. Because it's up to us to change the trajectory of this election and force the vote read all the way down about it if you ask me. That's the way I voted. That's the way I believe you should vote. So if you're in a state that the polls have not closed, do not be discouraged. Take your butt to the polls and make sure you cast your vote. Why, mister Tatum, why do I need to vote because people have died? So that you can have a right to be able to participate in this constitutional republic and be able to see a future that is acceptable, profitable for your children. That's the reason why you vote. Not because it's cute, not because you get the little sticker, which I have my sticker in the car. Not because you get these stickers and all this other stuff. It's because you have the right God gave it to us. We need to take advantage of it. And I'm just encouraging all of you who probably have not voted yet or you're waiting in line. You're watching beat Tatum while you're waiting in line just know that you have to endure, stand in line, hold the line because I believe it is our time to shine.

"Coast. The course there's lots of attention on the battle for control of Congress, but there are some key state level races to watch as well. Democrat Charlie Crist is hoping to buck the odds against Republican governor Ron DeSantis in Florida. Florida has been maybe a little bit of sleep, but I'll tell you what. She's gonna wake up today. Wait, it's RealClearPolitics polling average of that race has desantis ahead of Chris by about 12 percentage points. Charlie Crist Wasted Large Amounts of Money in Political Ads

"Boy, Charlie Chris TV ads are everywhere here in Florida. Every 5 minutes. And I'd love to know how that works. How does it work when they schedule local ads in other words, how do those ads get placed because Charlie Crist adds during the Tampa Bay game? During 60 minutes, during all these different local TV shows because I watched a lot of TV this weekend, homesick in bed with COVID, so I was just mindlessly watching a lot of stuff on TV. Charlie Chris dad, after Charlie Chris dad, after Charlie Chris dad, arguably, it will be one of the biggest wastes of money ever spent in political history because there's no way Charlie Crist gets elected tomorrow, but they sure are spending a lot of money on ads for him. Oh boy.

Politico: Florida Republicans, Trump Defy DeSantis

"Is reporting there is some bad blood brewing between desantis and Trump and its over a rally that president Trump is holding for senator Marco Rubio. This is going to be held in Florida and apparently no one in the desantis team was told about this. Nobody said that nobody told the governor gave the governor's team a heads up that Trump is going to be going to Miami just two days before the midterms and keep in mind desantis is in a pretty significant battle for his job as governor going up against Charlie Crist. Now I think the governor is going to be able to pull out a big win here. But you just don't know. And so you would think that the Trump team would have invited governor desantis to come and be a part of the rally. The governor's name was not on any of the announcements. And apparently the governor is not going to be attending the rally with president Trump and senator Marco Rubio. Reading from the political article here, the apparent snub angered some within desantis orbit who complained that Florida governors team was not informed of the rally prior to Trump announcing it. The timing of the Trump and Rubio event means any campaign event desantis holds that day will not get as much attention during the final stretch of the 2022 midterms. Quote, you've got the Sunday before election day totally hijacked by Trump parachuting in on Trump force one. Taking up the whole day, a longtime Republican consultant who is close to the governor said.

"Much, Nathan. A man is in custody in New York City for last week's violent and unprovoked attack on a subway rider. 41 year old McRae, who police say, has an extensive criminal history, is now accused of shoving 32 year old David Martin onto the train tracks at a Brooklyn subway stop last Friday. Martin suffered a broken collarbone, meanwhile, commuters are now searching out places along railings on the platform where they feel they can't be assaulted. We afraid that someone will come up and sneak up behind us. So push up. There was a tragic accident in the subway in Manhattan. It is debate night between New York democratic governor Kathy hochul and her Republican challenger Lee zeldin, the two are expected to debate such topics as crime and the state's bail reform laws. Florida governor Ron DeSantis and former governor Charlie Crist debated ahead of next month's election. Chris asked desantis about a possible run for governor in 2024 and asked him to commit to a full term as governor if he wins. You're running for governor, why don't you look in the eyes of the people of the state of Florida and say to them, if you're reelected, you will serve a full four year term as governor. Yes or no. "Axios reports that new polls out suggest the Republicans are taking the lead in two of Florida's most highly watched races, Ron DeSantis is leading Charlie Crist by almost ten points, senator Marco Rubio is leading Democrat Val demings by 6 points, that's one race. Another nationally, we've got our eyes on Georgia. We got our eyes on Pennsylvania. As the daily caller points out, Democrats can not afford to lose a single U.S. Senate seat. In Wisconsin, Ron Johnson. Climbing to the top of his race in Pennsylvania, Doctor Oz has a ton of momentum. Johnson is polling. And again, I'm sorry to read poll numbers to you, but it also is important that you get a reality check and not believe the garbage from the left that the Democrats are going to retain control of the House and the Senate. "Enclosing here, what candidates in particular are you spending your time and energy and resources? I think you're going to be fine in your race to comfortably Republican district. But where are you spending your time energy and resources? What candidates do you like the best? And then I know you got to run for votes. Let me give you three quick ones. The America first warrior on the West Coast is Joe Kent, he beat Jamie Herrera butler in a primary, but faces a tough general. So if you can help out Joe Kent in Washington state up in the northeast, Caroline leavitt is running an inspirational campaign in New Hampshire and I've got to mention my Florida woman buddy on a paulina Luna, who is going to flip Charlie Crist seat and she's got a great connection to turning point. I know turning points was a point graduate. She went through the whole process, had a lot of fun together, did a lot of campus stuff, and now she's going to be a member of Congress, which I think will be our first member of Congress we could say from turning point to Congress. That'd be kind of fun, right? Definitely not the last. That's the beginning. And that's why that's why the regime wants to come after both of us. Matt, go vote, hopefully no, on whatever it is because it's probably garbage being proposed by Nancy Pelosi. So don't put too much thought into it. He's running against a reprobate by the name of Charlie Crist, Charlie Crist, has been a Republican and independent in a Democrat. Now that in and of itself, it happens. Donald Trump had, you know, positions with various parties. But that said, Charlie Crist is settled on being a left wing kook. And apparently as a history of comparing himself to Jesus Christ. Fox News reports Aubrey spatty. And he's calling a desantis descent to Satan. It's how sick these people are. Your fascists, you Satan. Well, Mark, you call names. "Stay with him and vote for him and I don't want your vote. If you have that hate in your heart, keep it there. Okay, I just want to say, that's actually the other clip again. It's great though. That was an even more important clip. The one. Yeah, he says he loves Joe Biden as president of the Democrat now, whatever. Clay, here's a politician who is straight up saying, if you voted for desantis, bleep you, I don't want your vote. That's what he said. Which is a tough move when desantis already won as governor. So you're telling the people who have already voted the incumbent governor inn, who buy the way, think he did an incredible job overall to not vote for you. I grabbed a little bit of data, there's a strong case I think that's going to come out in 2022 that red got redder and blue got bluer and we've been talking about this impact for some time. The Florida Democrat governor turnout for the primary was down actually from 2018 despite the fact that there was a real contested primary between Nikki freed and Charlie Crist and running unopposed with nothing really substantial for many Republican voters to vote for substantially more people voted in the Republican primary than voted in the Democrat primary. So I think desantis is going to win by 7 or 8 points. I don't think this is going to be remotely close buck. But it is a bold move by Charlie Crist to come out on the first day that he's gotten the nomination and say, I don't want your vote. Charlie's got bugs. He's all about bold moves. Former Republican former independent now a Democrat, probably going to run as a comrade Marxist type in a few years. Who cares

"Last question, governor desantis. You have been gifted with Charlie Crist as an appointment as an opponent in your reelection campaign. He began his campaign by embracing Andrew Warren, the prosecutor you rightly suspended, what do you make about that? I think Americans are sick of prosecutors who don't prosecute. Well, the defund the police movement was very damaging. But Hugh, I think if you look at the body toll and the crime that has happened from these Soros back prosecutors who just decide they're not going to prosecute laws they don't like. I think it's probably even exceeded that. It's been very, very damaging. It is really torn at the fabric of society in a lot of these communities. And so no, a prosecutor is not a law unto himself. You take an oath to faithfully apply the law in Florida under article four section 7 of our state constitution, the governor, as the authority, the suspend people, who are not following the law. So that's what he did. But I think this is part and partial of Charlie Chris's latest identity, which is that he said he wants to reallocate funding away from police. He's taken votes in Congress that are more consistent with the defund movement than pro law enforcement. And now he's embracing the Soros prosecutors, which obviously will be very detrimental for our society and the interesting thing is when we announced the suspension of Andrew Warren, I had all three sheriffs, his county sheriff and then two neighboring county sheriffs, and I had the former Tampa police chief all standing up there with me saying what a lousy job he's doing because he's not enforcing the law. And so the law enforcement community understood the stakes of having somebody in that position that is not faithfully enforcing the law. Well, good luck in the campaign. Keep coming back, Kevin or desantis we cover Florida. I'm glad you joined us in good luck in the election campaign ahead. Thanks, God bless. You too. Ron DeSantis is what Republicans need to be. Smart, articulate. In the battle on the front pages about the things that are Americans are talking about, too many candidates will not talk about education, although it is on the mind of every American who is a parent, a grandparent and aunt and uncle or a sibling of someone in school. It is a pervasive issue. I wrote in The Washington Post yesterday. The three a's and the threes, affordability, good inflation is everywhere anxiety, about crime, which we talked about. And anger over elites telling us what we do and do not do, including Doctor Fauci and the medical community. And then the three energy, the cost of gas, ESG. Which I didn't have time to talk to the governor about ESG would have been, of course, right up his alley, but you get ten minutes on a governor's schedule. You take the ten minute. ESG, environmental, social, governance issues. It's just a left wing agenda in corporate America, and then finally and most importantly, education education education, Ron DeSantis, showing the way for every Republican..

"Governor, every time I bring up the ideological agendas that have seeped into high school and elementary schools, I hear from my left wing friends in the media. Oh, CRT is not taught in the schools. I point them to liberals at TikTok and they say that's simply the amplification of a few outliers. In fact, that ideology is everywhere. How do you respond when lefty say, hey, CRT, it's just it's a graduate level stuff. It's got nothing to do with teaching. Well, it's true. There aren't courses named CRT. What it is, it's a pedagogy that is used to infuse normal academic subjects. So for example, teaching history, The New York Times 1619 project instructs teachers to teach that the American Revolution was fought to defend slavery. Now that's false. We know why the American Revolution was fought. They wrote pamphlets about it. They debated it. And they laid down a lot of markers that have really changed the course of human history and quite frankly, made sure that slavery's days were numbered because they actually set our rights come from God. We're all created equal. So how could you justify something like that at that point? So when you see that, you know they're trying to advance an agenda. When you have different things in schools, where they will treat kids differently on the basis of their skin color and say one skin color is an oppressor. One's an oppressed. Yes, that may not be under the course titled CRT, but it's the same type of outlook and way to teach other subjects. Also on the gender ideology, there are absolutely school districts around the country that have guidance in place about teachers saying to very young kids, hey, you may have been born in a boy's body, but maybe you're not really a boy. So that is absolutely going on throughout the country and quite frankly, we wouldn't have gotten the media on the left to be so upset with our parents rights and education if it wasn't going on because if it's not going on then, then why would you care about it? So it is going on. They just need to be honest about that. And they also retreat. They'll say, they'll say, oh, it's not happening. But then if it's happening, it's not a big deal. And then we should just not worry about it. Well, I mean, you've got to pick your position here. I think it's not my dog. It didn't bite you besides you kicked it first, replied. Governor, before I moved to Charlie Crist, and he decided to throw in with the source un prosecutors. This morning, Rishi sunak, who wants to be prime minister is not going to be prime minister, said it was a mistake during the lockdowns in Great Britain to trust the scientists so much to cede power to them. Obviously, you did not do that. Is it encouraging to find conservatives in Great Britain admitting that they made that mistake? I think it's essential that that happened. And I just went back to Eisenhower's farewell address where, in addition to warning about the military industrial complex, he said, as scientific research becomes melded with government policy, there is a danger that public policy itself could be captive to what he termed a scientific technological elite. And he rejected that because he said a statesman has got to consider that, but you also have all these other factors that you need to harmonize. And so you see things like Fauci saying, oh, there's no lasting damage from these school closures. Give me a break. I mean, I can tell you because I've had families move to Florida just for that issue. And there was a myopic focus on one respiratory pathogen to the exclusion of everything else, which is very, very damaging. But then there was also mitigations applied that we're not capable of doing what they said. I mean, the fact of the matter is, by the time we got into April of 2020, it was pretty clear that this thing had already spread enough, you weren't going to be able to eradicate it through lockdown policies. And I think the dangerous thing is very few people in the public health establishment have been willing to acknowledge those mistakes. And that just means that we could potentially repeat some of those mistakes sometime in the future..

The Florida Governor's Judicial Selection Process

"Governor, you've made some appointments to the Florida Supreme Court. All of us remember the year 2000 when I called it the yoho court, the pirates. Who do you look for when you put justices on the Florida Supreme Court? Well, you're exactly right on the 2000 court. And that court really dominated Florida politics for 25 years. And so when I became governor, it was a four three liberal majority. But fortunately, three of the four liberals reach mandatory retirement age. So I was able to backfill them with conservative justices. And so we now have a 6.1 conservative majority. I've actually made 5 appointments because actually 6 appointments now because two of my appointments got fleeted up to the 11th circuit Court of Appeals under president Donald Trump. So what I do is I convene a group of people that I trust some people in Florida, some people outside of the state who you would know who I'm not going to say because it was a private, but and then they put these candidates through the ringer. So they will go into a room and you'll have 6 or 7 pretty big legal conservative heavyweights and they have to answer questions. And I'm not there for that, but then I get debriefed by them and then I'll sit and do interviews with each individual candidate but basically what we're looking for. Do you understand the proper role the court and the constitutional system exercise neither judgment but not will? Are you willing to apply the law even when it's difficult? And so I'm somebody I disagree with obviously judicial activism. But sometimes you are called upon to enforce the constitution in ways that will be consequential. And

Ron DeSantis Blasts Biden Student Loan Giveaway

"Ron DeSantis of Florida. Good morning, governor. Good morning, Hugh. How are you doing? I am great. I want to begin. I'm going to cover a lot with you. The congressional map education prosecutors. But yesterday, Joe Biden gave away maybe $300 billion to people. I'll bet you paid out some student debt when you served in the navy deployed with the seals to Iraq. You were a jag. What did you make of this announcement yesterday? Because my listeners do not like this. No, I thought it was terrible. One, it's unconstitutional, which is obviously something important. I don't think that that's something Biden cares about, but he doesn't have the authority to do this too. You're going to be having plumbers, people that have their own small businesses, waitresses, they're going to be on the hook to pay the student loan of somebody who got a PhD in gender studies. I mean, give me a break. So yes, people should obviously pay back their loans. But then the fact that you're putting this on the backs of working Americans who may have made different choices with regards to education or like you said in most people have done have paid off their debts. And so I think a lot of people who've paid off education debts right now feel like chops because they did the right thing and now Biden's coming in with this.

The national archive says scores of classified documents were recovered from Mar-a-Lago in January, 7 months before the FBI search of the property. The acting head of the archives has released a letter sent to former president Trump's legal team in May. It details the agency's concerns about sensitive records and Trump's possession that were turned over earlier this year, specifically over 100 documents with classification markings, comprising more than 700 pages, including some up to top secret. "And being 2022 continues on WTO. This Wednesday morning, Robert Costa, chief election, and campaign correspondent for CBS News joins the conversation to talk first about Charlie Crist win and the results of other races for us. It's intriguing decision by Florida Democrats to nominate Charlie Crist now a democratic congressman, but a former Republican governor in Florida running against Nikki freed a progressive leader in the state. Chris won the nomination in port because he presents the Biden model of politics, someone who's seen as more moderate to try to win in a state that's trending red in recent years. Turning to Oklahoma, the third state where elections are happening. We normally elect one senator at a time. So why are voters in Oklahoma choosing candidates for two U.S. Senate races? Well, you have a retirement longtime senator Jim inhofe deciding to leave office after decades in politics. And Oklahoma is a state that's pretty ruby red and former president Donald Trump and his influence on the party continue to cast a real shadow over Oklahoma politics. And you see that across the board in New York and in Florida as well, while Trump is not yet running in 2024, should he make that decision he clearly has a lot of support in these state parties, despite the investigations, many of them out there about his conduct. This is just a regular Ford a seafood joint that yet pull your boat up to and eat fried fish at, But it's significant in Charlie world and what we called cryptology because it's probably the sight of 25 or 30, Charlie Crist campaign events. Over the last decade. It is one of his favorite places to go. He literally pulled his boat up the golden rule there on Sundays. He's the person who is the owner was his Childhood friends from middle school. There just aren't many places in ST Pete more, you know, connected to Charlie Crist, then the big catch. In fact, when Charlie Krystal lived in Bayfront Tower The big catch used to be located in downtown ST Pete. Why, underneath his condo building, and that's where he met. Ah, lot of people. That's where I met Charlie Crist 30 years ago when he was Ah young lawyer. It was like the one hotplate. You could go in ST Petersburg. So this is got a lot of symbolism. In the Chris. Um I don't know that Chris Tuck storybook. And so you know, Governor to Santa has this event to basically say no more local rules. Um, the the the Cove in 19 emergency is over. It's a little interesting that he did it yesterday. Um You know why? Yesterday as opposed to Friday, Um why? You know, yesterday's opposed to today? Why seen Petersburg any of those reasons? Hey, just kind of declares that the emergency was over. None. None of the numbers that go into the emergency are are better or worse today than they were a week ago. Um, just got understand. Just decided. You know, today's the day And so he did that on Chris home turf and really, you know, showed that he is gonna be game on from Rhonda Santa versus Charlie Crist again. Credit Credit is due. That was, um, a plus strolling by the governor. All right, let's get to the big announcement from Congressman Crist today. What stood out to you about the rollout? I actually thought it was probably the best launch for Charlie Crist in in a while, Um And you know, Charlie Crist has had a lot of launches. So that's actually saying something. I liked the video, probably more so than Previous videos work that I had seen. It doesn't feel like height video. It feels like the authentic kind of Floridian Charlie Crist that he likes to be, You know their shots of him in the Everglades. There was a lot of policy on that video. The announcement today it was. I don't wanna stay with over professional because it wasn't like that. But it was definitely, you know, Charlie has had asked up he's brought in. Ah, whole new crew basically kind of d C. Younger activist Democrats. I think that that's one of the things that a lot of people are talking about that this is not the Charlie Crist's campaign team of of yesteryear. It is, you know, I was talking to Maya Brown, who's worked a lot in Tampa. You know, there's a lot of people of color on the ground. There are a lot of young people, um You know whether or not they're inspired by Charlie or not. I think he has captured some of those Democratic activists. You know he's had a job. Or, you know, first six years now for them to blocked it, Which you know, in Florida politics. There isn't a lot of that. And so he's got an apparatus. Um I will say I like to speech. Um, very find out how to quote that I can't remember word for word right now. But his direct attack on the Santis No, it's you know, he's not good. If you're a woman talking, empower you of your personal color. You're not gonna let you vote If you're sick, He's not gonna help. Long list. That was pretty good. Um So I got away. Listen, he I wrote an article today saying that I think that he's in about a 5% chance of pulling this whole thing off and I still stand by that, but I think if he You know he has launched previously and then kind of faded away. I wrote during previous campaign the last month of November and December, when Charlie got into the gubernatorial race and kind of faded, you know, he had a bad time when he got to Congress in 2017. Adam Smith wrote about that when he was at the time. If he can probably convict in there, and kind of old sir. Well about damn means and Nikki freed, you know, decide what they're going to do. I think he's you know, I think he will last the distance into the primary. I'm joined by the publisher of Florida politics Peter Shore. She confined his work in Florida politics dot com and Confine him on Twitter. Peter Schorsch, FL. We're talking about Congressman Charlie Crist entering the 2022 race for governor. So what was behind this decision? You know, the congressman, you know the people involved here? Was he that concerned over Republicans potentially redrawing. That district and making a reelection bid that much more difficult. I've been pretty dismissive of that idea of, um, I think that so the idea is that Republicans gonna be in charge of redistrict deep in 2022, which they are, and that somehow they'll be about Oh, job draw Charlie Crist into a more Republican leaning district. I think that they can maybe do that. But you know the idea of You know, basically carving out the black vote in South ST Petersburg and lumping it in with the Hillsborough and Manatee County. Black boat was something that got swatted down before. I think it's I think it's illegal under fair district. I know that if the conservative Supreme Court now and Republicans think they might, you know, want to run it up the flagpole with them and see what they could do. But if they do that, then they lose their home app. On by. I don't know that they want to go through the entire redistricting process and bacon on something that has been talked out previously. So if you can't carve out the black vote out of Penelas It becomes very difficult whether you sliced in.
