"I don't think that there's a unifying theory of James Hahn, except he sits on he sits in an important seat on the page. A couple more months. And he was the lone dissenting voice on this plan. And But he seems extremely pro live. Yes. So the policy board, as we've discussed, is currently 9 people, it is four players of one of which is James Hahn, and 5 essential business leaders from across pretty much the American business landscape. And in order to put things through, make PGA Tour changes, the policy board has to vote on it. And James Hahn was the one dissenting vote. And that just adds up because over the last month or so, James Hahn has been raising these questions, as you said, without a whole lot of solutions. Just kind of stirring the pot. And doing so in an oddly pro live lean and it's been extremely hard to understand for me being looking at the guy who's on the policy board has one of the most important positions and votes in terms of PGA Tour membership. And he's just kind of making Liv golf's case in a number of ways and then poking holes through whenever the PGA Tour comes out with something new. So that's just been odd. It's a very, very, very, very odd, and so for him to dissent from what Rory and Tiger and the band of brothers put together, it made sense and it just kind of capped off what was really weird couple of months this summer for James Hahn. And what is most interesting Dylan is that James Hahn in four months will not be on the PGA Tour policy board anymore. The players on the board were Rory, kisner, charley Hoffman and James Hahn. Charlie Hoffman and James Hahn are going to get booted out in January. Coming in after them will be Patrick cantlay. I think Webb Simpson and maybe Peter malnati, I can't remember who the last one is there. But either way, the point is, James Hahn holding this position is barely relevant any longer. And so people don't really have to worry about that. James Hahn's voting privileges will be rendered back to the same level as a lot of PGA Tour pros. And that might be a little too deep for our listeners, but if you're confused by the James Hahn stuff, just check his Twitter feed. Just see what he's been up to. Actually had a couple of funny tweets about flying spirit airlines over the over the weekend. I'm sure he had some sort of angle there, but it feels like we are losing the golfers on Twitter thing. Like there was a little bit of a spike of pros being authentic via social media. It seems like now we have regressed into pros hiring professionals to do that sort of thing. Probably better for their golf games.

"Awesome? What did we find out around a golf cost? Youth on course? I think it's like 6 bucks or something like that. I was gonna say 8. Let's just say just download it and you buy it, you buy a round of golf for a kid. How about that? You don't even have to put any money on it. All right, basically the more people use code no laying up and registering not only are you getting 15 bucks, but you help support this charity that matters to us. So cash app. Discount code, no laying up. All right, how do you guys want to start? With all of the drama, did we start with Phil? Where does the story begin? Where did we sit on Monday before the week? I don't know if the Kramer Hickok interview was Monday. That was Tuesday night. That was Tuesday night. On Tuesday. On the stripe show podcast, he said, 17 guy, he knows of 17 guys who have jumped over. That list includes some big names. He's like, can't say who they are, but there's going to be some big names over there from what I've learned, the money is very, very appealing. It's going to be very appealing for some of these guys. He described the tour to have 12 to 14 events with huge purses and limited fields. He also said that ten of those 14 events are going to be in the U.S. and the players are going to get going to the Super League we'll be giving lucrative signing bonuses. That feels like a long time ago. Yeah, it does. This is going to be a four hour podcast anyway. So we'll add just a quick primer if you're new to what's going on. We've talked about this AD nauseum for the last two years. It feels like, but very, very, very quick overview. Live golf, the Saudi Saudi public investment fund pumped a bunch of money into a company called Liv golf, which is run by not run by, but kind of commissioner. Commissioner, the president, et cetera of third leg Greg. They serve like Greg Norman. That initially was a $300 million investment in the initially with 200 million now it's $300 million investment in the Asian tour to set up a series of events on the Asian tour similar to what the European tour used to do to do perfect world tour now. Does with the Rolex series, just hey, these are a bunch of elevated events. Yada yada yada. Asian tour is going to be doing the same thing. That's not what we're talking about, right? That's all publicly announced what has been bubbling under the surface is a proposed super golf league, Saudi golf league, all sorts of other names, bandied about the old golf. The worst kept secret expendables tour. Yeah, what has been proposed is another much similar to what you heard any gardener talk about regarding the PG L eerily similar. A 48 man tour that would have captains, it would have player owners. It would have relegation. It would have all these different things. It would have up to what have we heard now. Ten events in the U.S. and a couple other events around the world starting next year. It would be 6 events this year, 14 events starting next year with ten events in the U.S., there would be 6 events this year, four of those would have been in the United States. So when we hear people talk about the, that's what we're talking about. Yes. And also came out this week, Washington Post reporting that Donald Trump courses were going to be rumored to be involved in this or reported first reported by no laying out back in October, but yeah, that's a fluff ourselves. Yeah, we kind of talk about that for a while. I can't believe it took four months for anyone else to pick up on this. In and outside the golf world, but yes, former president Donald Trump's company is angling to host events at his golf course for the controversial Saudi golf league according to three people familiar with the matter, potentially handing Trump a lucrative business partnership with an oppressive regime he defended as president. At least two of Trump's courses in bedminster, New Jersey and Doral Florida could be named as sites for the nascent tour, according to the people familiar with the talks who like others spoke on the condition of anime to discuss internal deliberations, officials from Liv golf investments, the apparatus funded by the Saudis to host the tour have held conversations with the Trump organization, these people said, one of the people familiar with the matter said Trump had spoken to Greg Norman the head of Liv golf investments about having his properties involved in the tour. Again, all this before, well, some things happen. And even going back to your point, John, where kind of where were we at last week? We called all these guys a bunch of pussies. For sure. On the podcast, repeatedly? Yes. Last week for just basically bitching incessantly about just dancing around like, no, like what is it that you're unhappy? Well, where are we left this saga last week was I think the news of the week was kind of the charley Hoffman gaslighting of, I didn't get my ruling. It feels like 6 weeks ago. I didn't get my ruling at Phoenix and so now this is why us as players were left with no other choice, but to jump to another tour, we're just not protected out here. Do we want to go into some of the kind of what we had, I don't know if reported is not probably the right word, but some of what we had heard into last week. Sure. We had mentioned, 'cause let's just back up to it because Bryson has some statements that come out and we just go ahead and back up to him calling us basically fake news media this past week. We said last week that Bryson has told people both in capital and in Saudi Arabia that he is basically going around puffing his chest out saying I'm done playing the PGA Tour. That's how Annie was on this super golf league. We also were incredibly clear as clear as we possibly could be that we didn't necessarily believe him that this did not mean he is done playing the PGA Tour. We did not say this is why he's missing the genesis. We kind of threw like basically through a question there of like, hey, we don't know exactly what he was on the commit list. Now he's not. He's got this injury. We qualified all of that. We didn't tweet any of this because it's like a conversation we were having. Yeah, there was a whole bunch of context in this conversation. He releases a statement early in the week saying, you know, I'm very disappointed to miss the genesis invitation this week at one of my favorite courses on tour. I'm currently in the process of rehabbing a hip in hand injury, which I am making positive progress on day by day. There are many false reports going around by the media that are completely inaccurate. Any news regarding my health or playing schedule will come directly from me and my team only. This is just another inaccurate report. I look forward to getting healthy and seeing everyone soon. So all of the golf media go on to be like, well, first of all, no golf media was reporting on this. So what are you talking about? But also just ran that statement without any real context as to what he's actually talking about, which was, again, it's newsworthy. We considered it and still believed to be that he's going around saying this. This again doesn't mean we called it out. Bryson is full of shit and has proven this at every stop. That we don't even necessarily believe him. And then we specifically said that we do believe we will see him back on the PGA Tour. Bryson says a lot of things. A lot of things. So it was still noteworthy of how in he was on this league to the point..

"All ten of them. Yeah, and I don't think that's been the case at a tour event since the last major championship. I mean, this event is essentially at the same level as the memorial at the same level in my eyes as just all the playoff events, the FedExCup events. I think it's a phenomenal golf course and it produces a damn earned victory. It produces a champion that has golfed his freaking ball, I'm excited to be there for every step of the way in LA, the city of champions, city of angels to your dismay. And champions. Dylan you, this is not so positive, but you had a you had a little little money bet on the Bengals to win the Super Bowl. That did not go through. I had a much more positive bet on Cooper Cup to win the MVP. Did you that went through? I did. What kind of odds would have theoretical better get on some of that? 6 to one. I placed it legally in the great state of Colorado from the airport before taking off to go to the similarly great state of California that does not allow legal sports gambling. Until you leave the state to collect your winnings. No, you can collect any time. As I've learned. Okay, well, I would like to say a nice thing to you, which is congratulations on your foresight there. Even at the end of the game, it fell a little 50 50, a lot of QB bias in the league, but Cooper Cup was the right man for the award. So I'm really glad that they gave it to him. This is not a football podcast. But the end of the game started to have that familiar Tom Brady MVP stench to it that just kind of starts to stink a little bit. You get closer to the end of the game. Matt Stafford's thrown a couple picks, but he's thrown a couple touchdowns. Here he comes. When James White should have won Super Bowl MVP a couple years ago and they gave it to Tom Brady because you know he's getting old and whatnot. I thought that was going to happen again. Thankfully it did not. A couple more shout outs, Martin trainer, making the cut, I think we're contractually obligated whenever he does make the cut. He finished T 43 for just a quick shout out. No free ads, but thanks Wilson for believe it or not. Oh, yeah. Great to get a Martin trainer press release signed onto the Wilson staff this week. I truly a testament to I get press releases really and you wonder if you've still got it. If you're still press release worthy, probably when you're on the PGA Tour and you know things haven't been going great for you. Martin trainer came in the inbox. That was huge. The quietest top ten probably that I can remember, John rom, T ten this week. That's so awesome. And then Justin Thomas very, very, very, very sleepy T 8. So all deserve praise and Alex noren, the only non American really in contention at any point this week finished T 6. If I told you 5 days ago, Xander schauffele was going to finish T three, Justin Thomas was going to have a sleepy T 8 and John rom was just guaranteed to have a top ten. You'd have said, I would put easy good money on that. It just feels like that's how these guys finish turning..

"A lot of recent history in the social media world like the social media era. Of pro sports teams, pro sports leagues, frankly, trying to use fans as pawns. For their taxpayers money or in the case of FIFA and the European super soccer league, this stuff can fall apart pretty quick and you can lose a lot of fans. There can be revolts. I don't know how that applies to the gulf world. Well, I think it just applies in the sense that fans, fans of a voice. You can push so far and you can get people on board with certain ideas. You can convince people of certain things, but at a certain point, it's that thing about fans don't want to feel used. Don't you can push us to get us to buy some buy some new golf balls, you know? 80 bucks a dozen, but don't point up at the sky and tell me the wrong color. Yeah. No, I agree. And I don't think this, I don't think this hurts Charlie Hoffman. To the point that it can hurt Phil Mickelson and to a similar extent at some point, Bryson DeChambeau. And a lot of guys who are going to align their ships in the direction of the rumored Saudi tour. That is not done yet. And Phil was last week this week was Charlie Hoffman. They're not all too different in their messaging. And who's going to be next? And is the money going to end up being signed on on the dotted line? These guys are going to move in a certain direction together. And I just don't know how strongly they're going to be linked in order to make it happen. But at this point, hopefully that's just a story in a debate for down the road. I just know that Phil Mickelson has a lot more fans. That just means, at some level, he has a lot of fans that he can lose. I think Charlie often would follow more in the category of a lot of golf fans would enter this week with a. Slight positive feeling about Charlie Hoffman. He's the guy with the fun headphones. He's always got a good smile. He seems like, you know, he enjoys life. He California kid. I think a lot of people would feel positively about Charlie Hoffman. I think that some people would flip this week, but you know, look, everyone's going to reset to neutral pretty easily. I would say. Well, yeah, we have the genesis invitational to look forward to as you discussed. Can we say, can we just, I feel like we just got a little, we got on the negative train there. Can we just say a few nice things to kind of like cancel things out there? That's what I was getting to. Nice thing. The top ten players in the world are all playing this week..

"Protection. By the USGA you need in the first T at gamble's I could have used a little bit of protection for your first tee shot at gamble sands that someone may be found in the last 6 months playing that golf course, but that ball was lost within play. That's protection that Dylan needs. And I need it. We're only about what a week or two away from sign ups opening for U.S. open qualifying. I want to wrap this up this Charlie Hoffman thing up by saying a day later. The day later, Charlie Hoffman, who doesn't have Twitter, posted on Instagram from the front seat of a Waste Management garbage disposal truck because reminder, this guy's sponsored by Waste Management, the sponsor of the Phoenix open. We didn't even bring that up that this guy brought a he probably technically brought more eyeballs to this term. Is in the commercial. For this event. The other thing that you kindly didn't bring up, Sean, he finished last. He finished. He didn't beat anyone in the field. At one point, but no, 9 over for the week. Last month. So the Instagram post that came a day later from the garbage truck was. Well, it looks like I have some trash to clean up after last night's rant. Hashtag greenest show on grass at WM Phoenix open. I have nothing but respect for the at PGA Tour exclamation mark. Sometimes you have to use a platform to make a point so the PGA Tour can continue to be the best place to play professional golf in the world, exclamation mark. Look at that sentence. Yes. Look at that sentence. Sometimes you have to use a platform to make a point so the PGA Tour can continue to be the best place to play professional golf in the world, exclamation mark. If I told you that Phil Mickelson said those words, you would have believed me more than any other PGA Tour pro I could have named out of the hat. That sounds like Phil Mickelson, Charlie Hoffman, San Diego friend. Does it not? Yeah, it's purely disingenuous. It's literally he's literally admitting he's either saying look, I didn't mean what I said yesterday or what I said yesterday was a joke or I was lying, what I said yesterday. We literally says, I have nothing but respect for the PGA Tour. Obviously, what he said the day before was the opposite of that. And then what he says next is essentially sometimes you have to make a point. Like, okay, so are you just trying to manipulate the public and the media into change? Because that's also messed up people don't respond well to that. We're not responding well to that. So it's the same thing. It's pointing at the sky and it's a gray sky and telling me that the sky is blue. And it's just not a good feeling for anyone. You're using us so yeah, and you know what?.

"In this instance, no. But I don't think that's necessarily the protection that he means. He of all people and PGA Tour players of all people are protected within the rulebook in endless ways, Patrick Reed, a year ago at Torrey pines, was protected by the shield of his honor and what he believed that he was doing within his own right interpretation of the rule, like protection is actually one of the tenets of the PGA Tour. On the same day that Charlie Hoffman was talking about this, the PGA Tour had removed from all social media a video of Zach Johnson doinking one off the T on a practice swing. Because you tell me why media because that's a bad look. Bad luck. Et cetera. But there's protection. There's a lot of protection happening. Yes. And so that is another reason why this is, again, Charlie Hoffman. Off his rocker. Yeah, I mean, just to wrap up this idea and make sure we're not pushing back against someone that doesn't exist. I'm guessing most people listening are in general agreement with this idea. So I mean, the point is not to push back against saying, oh man, all of you don't get this. It's more of like, guys, we're with you. We're going through this together. Let's think through why this was kind of like triggering for us as golf fans. The reason why this sucks. This whole thing sucks is because if we can agree that charley Hoffman and the connections he made in this Instagram post and the things he said afterwards reports. If we can agree that we are against that. What sucks is that he is making a great point, the rule sucks. Yes. The rule is a bad rule. It all begins from such a great place. Charlie Hoffman had a chance as one of the board members that represent players on the PGA Tour. He had a chance to make a great point about a rule. It's a dumb rule. But he bungled it. This is America. That's what shouldn't be double jeopardy. There shouldn't be double penalty area, penalties. If you don't hit the ball or make it move once it's back and play. There's no reason you should get penalized again for the same thing. It doesn't make sense. So what's sweet about it all of this might be the fact that maybe maybe the USGA will actually consider this to be a pretty dumb rule. Right? Yeah. Sure. Is there a chance that the governing bodies that govern the rules part of this game? They've been changing rules for years. Every year there seems to be something that is getting amended within the rules of golf. This feels like an obvious one for 2023. Yeah, and I'm surprised it wasn't already changed, frankly. In that, in that area, I'm with Charlie Hoffman. And I guess to some extent we can't discount the, you know, the extent to which this was just a frustrated PGA Tour golfer because when golfers are mad because they've done something bad or they've played a bad round. They get a little kooky and so that combined with whatever strange ideas he was already considering and harboring turned into this.

"Joel Buell pointed out from golf digest that if Phil and Bryson two of the guys most in favor of the Saudi tour, it seems right now are on your side. You know, maybe you aren't on the right side. Yeah. I mean, I think that you would be silly to not draw a connection between this and what Phil said last week, they're both San Diego guys. They play golf together. I think they both write. They have talked about this. They both recognize that there is an opportunity to use your platform to gain leverage, effect change, whatever it is, but I think they though did either of them do that. No, I think what Charlie Hoffman succeeded in is getting a ton of people to just absolutely dunk on him all over social media. I know that the world of golf Twitter is not the real world and is just a tiny sliver of sports fans. But I also know that fans don't like being treated like they're stupid or like they're being used for some greater leverage. That's the important word. And I think used. This is maybe the second most passionate I've been on the drop zone in recent history. The first being last week when I was talking about Phil is just gaslighting us and telling us that the PGA Tour, the greedy ones when he's talking about taking tens and tens and tens of millions of dollars to go overseas to play golf somewhere else, et cetera. This is where Charlie Hoffman is saying, look, the reason that people are going to leave the PGA Tour is because this one rule that the USGA, which is not the same organization, is enforced on the PGA Tour and I suffered from that rule and it's dumb. It's not logical. It doesn't even check out. So the fact that you're saying that that is why everyone is going to leave and go play a different tour, like that that feels disingenuous to me. It feels disingenuous to pretty much everyone who seems to react to it. And you don't see that sort of unanimity on social media very often. It's almost disingenuous for us to continue diving into Charlie Hoffman's work. Shaun, what rules would they use? What rulebook would they go by? How would his ruling have been different? He used the words, no protection for the players at all. Players need transparency, protection, and consistency. I'll tell you one thing. The rule book is damn consistent and it's damn transparent. Is he being protected against gravity and a hazard right now?.

"Everything by the book. It's still mind-blowing that a group of amateurs rule the professional game of golf, I also blame the at PGA Tour rules officials for putting out a terrible penalty area line where this could even happen. No accountability at any level here, no protection for the players at all, you wonder why guys are wanting to jump ship and go play on another tour, players need transparency, comma, protection, and consistency. We don't have that under the current governing bodies that he proceeded to mention a bunch of media companies not ours. And then finishes with the drop zone. He goes, sorry, Jay, meaning monaghan, exclamation mark, we need to do better at all levels of the at PGA Tour, including myself, who represent the players on the board of the tour if we don't, we won't have a tour any longer. Hopefully there will be a change soon. Dylan, that second to last sentence, if we don't, we won't have a tour any longer. If Charlie Hoffman doesn't get this rule change, we're not going to have a tour any longer. Are you worried for the sake of the tour? I mean, I guess I'm worried for the sake of the tour if this is the guy who's in charge of the rules if this is the guy that's pro tour, I mean, my biggest takeaway here, Sean is that the levels of self own in this post are arguably greater than anything we've ever seen in the world of professional golf because let me just run through them. The first, he's talking about what a joke on a hole where he made a double bogey 7. So first of all, he's the guy that hit it in the water. He's bringing this to all of our attention. He spells tuft of grass, you know, not in a correct way. He says that he was under the impression that a rule was different. So he's sort of admitting to not knowing the rules. And then he kind of jumps towards tagging his tagging as people to kind of go to battle for him, which includes barstool sports, Fox Sports, who's not even in the golf game anymore. The Saudi international, which, you know, I don't know what the point is here, and then he comes back to accusing the PGA Tour advisory board, which he is a member of. I think he might be the chairman. The call is coming. He's at least passed House. So he's at least a past chairman or he's on his way out of that position. I mean, all right, and then I guess the biggest cell phone of all is that Charlie Hoffman was in the catbird seat here. He was in the most enviable position in all of golf, which is being the victim of a dumb rule slash penalty. Like everyone is so willing to jump on board. It's like if your caddy is standing behind you and you're lined up and you have to take a penalty, everyone's going to rally for you if you're Rickie Fowler, you suffer the same penalty as Charlie Hoffman, people are going to go to bat for you..

"Anyway, there was a golf digest copy of the latest issue on my bed waiting for me when I showed up. But anyways, we turned after the first playoff hole, the big screen to the Super Bowl, and then I propped up my phone YouTube TV right up against the cheese plate, which is a good spot for it because there's a lot of cheese plate is just kind of grab and go. It's really quick. No one's hands are gonna get in the way of my little mini screen. So I had the golf going to. Don't judge. One more point I just want to hit on here, Sean is inevitably once anyone has too good a time. There will be people pushing back against that good time. And sort of taking things to pass their logical extreme and then arguing against that. So you saw some of that this week. Because there was so much fun on 16 and 17 and at the Waste Management because, you know, look, I mean, it's definitely debaucherous excessive, et cetera. It's not everyone's cup of tea. You might not want to bring your kids to the 16th at the Waste Management. Let me just lay out my feeling for you and then you can tell me where you think I'm right or wrong. I think that this is great, I think it's a lot of fun. I think this tournament is perfect for what it is. It's a great destination for people that want to go have a good time. It tears down some barriers when it comes to golf's perception as being boring or elitist or just for a small subsection or a really slow. I think that that's all important. And I'm basically just a huge fan and I don't think that there is any reigning in that needs to happen. I don't think this is shameful about that part..

Man, it didn't necessarily look like it at the time because he thought maybe scheffler will Bertie 18. He had a good look, but Xander ends up with and can't wait. What are we going to do? What are we going to do, bud Xander? What are we going to do about Xander? He's probably the number one golfer in terms of drop zone love. And he's not doing it. He's not. We got to get up his ass this week. We're going to get out in front of him at the genesis and say, buddy. Here's a little present from the drop zone, get it together, win this week, and then we can get the monkey off our backs because frankly, do we need to we're giving him a little too much love for me. Do we need to issue a ban? Do we need to ban Xander for not drop zone until he wins? We need to we need to get in his corner. He's a heavyweight boxer. Maybe lightweight boxer who's been kind of battered a little bit reputation wise. And tell him, hey, let's squirt that water, get the blood out of his teeth and say, get back out there, we're behind you more than anyone else, but also like our reputation rides with you too. So please deliver. So quick word on Xander. He wasn't interesting spot this week because he was in the rare, but not super rare off brand caddy week. You know, you see this with Matt kuchar. You saw it with Sergio Garcia, you saw Martin trainer won the Puerto Rico open with a one off caddie. Xander had our boy tech on the bag this week. His caddy Austin Kaiser got COVID tech is a guy that he played with his freshman year at Long Beach state and they've stayed close. Tech has played on over in Asia. He's played on the Canadian tour of the forum tour. He's been bouncing around for several years. And they've stayed close. They practice together play together in Southern California. I wrote a cover story on Xander a couple months ago and tech was one of the people that I interviewed for that. So I was surprised when I saw him on the bag on Thursday. And then also interested what that meant for the dynamic between player and caddy because you know all of a sudden there's some different stuff going on there. There is a reset. There is this potential for a little spray bottle in the face that I think sometimes is helpful. It gets you thinking about your process externally. It may be resets you. It makes you more self reliant. You can't really lean on the stuff that you talk to your caddy about weekend and week out. Yeah, but it doesn't sound like he really allowed for that, though, because he was doing conference calls with Austin like every day. Yeah, I mean, there may be they may be too deep in the process. He did not put well..

And that being enough for the crowd on 16 to go crazy and toss beers everywhere. Let's talk about that. Something really quick because that had a lot of that had a real number 16 in the country beats number 12 in the country. Let's storm the court energy to the chip. That's not exactly the comp that I think needs to be made. You're close. You're close. You're very close. It had it had like there's the lease and unranked element to it here. Unranked Minnesota facing 11 and one Michigan. I guess every golf fan by the virtue of being a golf fan is unranked because you've been waiting for this celebration. Maybe it's like their third victory over a ranked team in the same season, but they're like, this is our time. We're doing it. Well, it's the first one. It's the first one at home. The students have been watching this team win from afar from a long time. And this is their crowning moment, but like the team they beat is like the 7th ranked team in the country. They've lost already. And the spread was only three points. Anyway, not to steer you away from your larger point here, which was, look, yeah, this was exciting. This was awesome. I think that there's a couple events that are maybe held in higher regard as far as the I don't know, the stature of the PGA Tour goes based off the golf course based off the history based off the some of the historical figures involved. Like this week, Sean, you and I will both be at the genesis invitational Riviera is considered one of if not the best normal PGA Tour golf course. But the difference is going to be a let down this week. The difference with the Waste Management is twofold. One, it is for all intents and purposes a stock PGA Tour event. I think when you talk about the breakaway leagues and stuff and you're making the case for the PGA Tour. It's easy to make the case for the magic of the majors. And for a couple of the other events. But there aren't that many rider die PGA Tour fans. And I think the PGA Tour they just needed a reason to put people in that position to say, you know what this would be really a loss. If this no longer existed. And I think that we saw that for one thing with the talent at the top of the leaderboard. So the U.S. rider cup squad that ended up at the top. Xander can't lay scheffler, Brooks Koepka. But you also saw it with a guy that was not on the rider cup team. A guy that would not be making big money on a Saudi breakaway league.

"Check out the selection, you're going to see us wearing radmore golf stuff in upcoming videos. I'm wearing a radmore hat and sweatshirt right now. You can't see it. This is a good podcast segment because you can just hear what it's like to wear rad more golf apparel. It's great stuff. We're glad to be on board with the rad Moore team. It sounds comfy. Sean, let's get to it. I would like to start with just the fact that this turned into a banner week for the PGA Tour. We talk about must win games and other sports sometimes. I'm not sure this was quite a must win game, but it sure felt like a good one. In part because the Saudi international last week in part because of Phil Mickelson saying what he was saying about the PGA Tour being obnoxiously greedy in part because of whatever Charlie Hoffman was doing, which we'll get to get to later. But this was a week for the PGA Tour to be on. The Waste Management Phoenix open, now questionably rebranded the W M Phoenix open. Is one of the most exciting, one of the most electric, one of the most sustainable events on the schedule. I think if you ask an average fan, it's one of the events that they would know the most besides the majors and the big ones. It put on a great show. It ran too long, it shouldn't have run into the Super Bowl, but Sean, I would say that this was a dose of exactly the PGA Tour fun and goodness and storylines that everyone needed. Speaking of going on too long. I let you go on a little bit too long. I appreciate that. That was a long ad read straight into a long intro. I received a text from my father. This morning, it said Waste Management open is now on my bucket list. Sam Ryder smiley face. Wow. That kind of tells you everything you need to know. My dad is not much of a golfer, but he's all in on bucket list items. And that's what this event is. The majors are bucket list items I would argue that the players is a bucket list item. And beyond that, the writer cup, I don't think the president's cup is a bucket list item. This is like this 7th 8th biggest event in pro golf. I think that's probably accurate. I think you can obviously work the women's events in the women's U.S. open. The women's British open when it comes to men's pro golf though. This is definitely like number 7 on the plate of things that you want to do. And I mean, it hit on every possible scenario, Dylan, I landed in LA at about 2 p.m. Pacific time, which just meant I was in the air for about two hours, and during those two hours today, gulf got naked and afraid. Literally, both of those things very literally..

"These guys are but like how the guys that you don't even really think about and the guys that can put together like charlie hall like i've been charlie. Hoffman is unbelievably high on the career. Money list you top fifty in history of of golf like like the just the longevity alone like if you have a ten year career where you have you sprinkle in a couple of wins and just make way more than arnold palmer on the course. Oh my god it's not even close. Yeah yeah arnold palmer probably made four million dollars on. The course and charley hoffman. Probably makes four million dollars a year. Charlie hoffman his thirty eighth all time in career. Much is at thirty something. Thirty one million dollars. That's good that's really good. It's credible delay as in front of jon rahm for now. But like he's in front of padraig harrington is in front of lose. I know it's pga tour. But in front of fred couples like that have had these incredible careers. Tom lehman fred funk so go get them chuck. Go get him chuck. Can you imagine. Charlie hoffman wearing the wearing. The green title is a trucker hat. Walking down oh boy The eighteenth fairway of of the open championship and like just very loud american outfit. I could see that. I could go and stars and stripes. Maybe on sunday for the boys probably win a million bucks if he does so. Yeah i can certainly sit rick run. Good dot com is the website. "Because i knocked your your hot takes so bit man. Let's go all right. Brad so you have even pretty good at picking some of these long shots for these tournaments. These guys that were at least you've had some guys you've mentioned that if at least been in the in contention right and that gives you a chance to get creative with your live betting and stuff like that. Let's talk about some of the longer shots in. Who who do you have in the account and who do you like. Who do you at least say like okay i. I took a long hard look at this dude. Maybe didn't quite make my account. Maybe makes my account before they they tee off on thursday. Have to say all of really much shows this week to be honest a same process go through just few a popping me one. I have a small. charley hoffman. Not huge odds of check where he is currently but you know he he was one that popped up in links form and popped up in recent form that was pretty conformity standout. So leave those to you read. Yeah i. I don't have a ton either stephen did you. Find anybody hoffman. Actually sitting one hundred and fifty to one right now over at mgm. Stephen did you find anybody kind of in this eighty or longer range. I mean there are some names here when we talk about win equity there are guys who have won have won recently and have one on tour or in europe this year. I mean we have phil mickelson. Who has won this year. We have co crack. Who has won twice this year. We have sam berns who has won this year. We have garrick hugo who has won this year. So there are people with high wind equity that are found in this Longer shot range garrick. Hugo has only one. He's won three times this year. If you count the european tour events as well so You know with the open championship in these long shots. I think if we need to sometimes look beyond the data a little bit because the the models that were using skew heavily towards the pga tour. In fact. I don't think there's any european tour data in there so if you have guys that are kind of splitting time between both tours then you need to kind of get a little bit creative in trying to find some value on some guys so Higl at eighty two one's a little short for me in a field this strong and despite those winds and weaker fields He hasn't really contended in the majors that he's played so one guy at a longer price that is interesting to me. Is guido midgley. Oxy of italy at one hundred twenty five to one He has three runner up finishes on the european tour. This year finished fourth at the us open and then finished thirteenth at the travelers Last week he finished thirty fifth at the scottish open..
