So I grew up with this one guy. And he I was like selling. I wasn't. So I was like in these cars, and we ended up in this sort of odd robbery, blah, blah, blah. But anyway, he for that part of big leap, that, that part of it's not just, oh, this part of it is, so he I do Knicks. And I look out in the audience, and this guy from Charlestown, Joe Jill Rocco going to use his name because he's no longer with us. And I killed four hundred people's practically standing obey. And so I see him after as he comes up to me, and I said. I was going to say Jesus great. You gotta child. Yeah. All right. Like the show. I didn't like the ship something to do with the event. Right. So this exactly what he said to me, Mark, and he had that, look, as ISIS, it's gonna be a lot of money in here. I said you came here, so that I could case the joint from the fricken stage Jesus Christ. But this is the comedy just, you know, I guess the word is organic, because get all these guys in the street corner. You know, they, they funny, why don't we try this? But when I started there was no comedy clubs. But, like wait. Let me open it. You know. BB king. All right. Sugar shack that time bike in Charlestown. Like how many kids in your family? What was I'm the youngest of five a five, and that's it's not Southie. It's Charlestown, better fucking believe, don't ever make that mistake. Says the north end and this Charleston global. Global them. Like like you're a little me like what was like, what was the neighborhood, like? I mean it was unbelievable. But it away but it's normal I thought it was unbelievable in a great way. But, but I, but there was a mix of people that things were normal in my one man show, which I called townie, I talk about these events that happen to me in my life that will like and people, you know, the Phnom sample. So I went to see a psychiatrist because I get drafted thing. And I said. Okay. So, you know, like when you see someone gets shot. Yeah. And they fall down in the blood's coming out. You know how like when you have an on bribery, and everybody leaves though, one says, and the psychiatrist said to me. No. That's totally outside my experience. I do you think everybody that I said, isn't that normal? So it was this wonderful mix everybody knew each other was like Charleston was all Irish. The not was all talian. And I will never forget this one of the most important things in Charleston. You didn't have to win, but you had a fight. You didn't have to win. But yet a fight another individual fights. And I'm never forget Davey Ladda on the projects. He broke one of the rule these fistfights he kicked me in the ball and it was like, oh. You know it was like poverty yet. Sure. So then everybody jumped in, they got him. So those are the individual fights, but then town fights the Irish guys against the tide. So we will lined up on the bridge. So you'd be lined up against one guy, but I feel like you like movies, I sure I felt like I was watching a movie because it being Irish we don't have any feelings, everything suppressed, even the way we dance, like everything stiff, and this guy's across man going and is like an operation. I'm gonna take you a fucking. I'm going to Ted that off. You're going to have to fuck and swallowed that then I'm going to take you fucking and so I'm an actor. So when you're an actor there's always, you, then you watching you and then you watching the scene said, this is great. This guy's amazing. I forget, I'm supposed to be fighting here. So it was all it was, you know, homogeneous, yet, the word did you grow up in a mix neighborhood. Not really. I mean, where I grew. "And islands. It's busy, and we have Patrick in Charlestown, Patrick, where we you were saying the. Climate so-called climate change. No big deal. There's. Little calling the sky is falling in this guy's not really falling. I'm saying, I'm saying that the sky might be falling a little bit, but it's not fall in the way that they're saying that doesn't mean we shouldn't do everything we can to stop it from falling. We should, but we need to all, you know, not lose online delivery, and like take affirmative steps to try to stop it from happening. That's all I'm saying anything that you think, right, okay to charities on Chinese goods, mandatory reporting of non financial information by companies who do business in the United States organization called series as I believe it. C E, R, E S, its headquartered in Boston, and it is the global leader in sustainability reporting. So, in other words, there's gonna be a big field of accounting, and it, it's called ES g environmental social and governance. Reporting and series, which is right here in boss. I'd love to see if you could get some but one of the leaders on your show on night from series. I mean they're right here and there is a global movement. So that other words what it would do is we would force companies like Nike to report on information beyond its financial performance, including it's, it's for instance, water wastewater discharge or in a whatever other polluting mandatory reporting is, is one thing. That's it there. It's an ES g accounting and again that the organization that's the older leader is right here in Boston. So we need when eat that. Unfortunately, congress is never going to pass mandatory reporting of that stuff right now. What Republicans in office, and I happen to be a Republican, but then ever gonna never going to pass out the Democrats down the road night. But that's one thing we need. And. To not allow into our country goods manufactured by countries all under conditions that do destroy our environment, like goods manufactured in China, where they don't hold companies to the same standards. So unfair to hold out companies to, to compete with companies from countries with they don't have to incur the same costs at our companies have to incur it all to the makeup products. That's why you can go to the dollar store and buy something that should cost, eight bucks for Dala because in China, they're polluting the environment at full garbage, right until the and so, yeah. So I don't mind I increasing tariffs on just for that just to kind of even the playing field that way. But when you do like because it's a political football. You see the nonexempt the political operatives masquerading, as journalists from the left attack Trump just because he's Trump instead of actually reporting on the matter and trying to do something that, that might resemble journalism and, and looking at the issues and the rights, no better in this particular issue. It's it happens to be that they're not reporting accurately on Trump every time he tries to do something with China. They try to spike fears of a trade war instead of saying, this is gonna make us healthier. There is that's honest. There is a trade war, and it does affect some businesses. Overall, even though most even the most. Economists don't like tariffs. I in my ignorance I kinda like them. Especially. Big mistake Tara, economists make they all go to school and get PHD's? And they, they learn certain things about basically free trade at the end of the day is because companies have comparative advantage. So, for instance, if you have a low labor cost, it only makes sense to manufacture a labor intensive product in a country, where it has low labor costs because at the end of the day, the whole oral will have more utility. It will produce more goods and, and distributed across the world. Everybody else will be better off. That's essentially, what that training. But the problem is, as they have they take this as a foundational assumptions, we don't have free trade, all the other company countries that do do business with us know that we're trying to do free trade, and they take advantage of us because of it. And so, what's the point of trying to be the one person who's has an egalitarian standpoint? What everybody else is like, what's in it for me? So we don't have free. Trade. So, of course, we need tariffs. That's not the real world economies. Live in, in a theory world went on in that world coup or was it there's another bonus that nobody really talks about is, if, if you've slapping, additional twenty five percent tariff on, let's just use a round number one hundred million bucks that gives you twenty five million bucks, or if it's a hundred billion bucks that gives you twenty five billion extra dollars and I would very much love it. If maybe. The president would take that money and figure out what reduction in middle class taxes would have equal the twenty five billion, and then give us a break on that or pay some healthcare do something for us with it instead of the rich at the opioid crisis for us as correlated with the helpless, this, that American workers has had to endure in our generation when they can't get a job that will allow them to get married house. And as a result, they turned to hopelessness, and it's directly. The opioid crisis is directly correlated to hopelessness in the fact that our generation is, is worse off than our parents. And in a lot of that has to do with these elite economists who believe in completely free trade when the other countries don't. And so it's taken all these jobs away. Oh. Ford, Focus right now, this year afford decided to stop building cars seem to be a small story in the news. I mean, how many jobs is that going to be going to build trucks, but they're not going to build cars if you're an American work in person you've, you've seen all these jobs go abroad, and you've seen you've had to compete with workers who charge, a lower rate abroad, due to NAFTA and other things. And, and then you had to deal with the legal immigrants taking your job at home, we even you with no job. And don't forget, don't forget out to Mason. Automation to the road damn robots. Yeah. But, you know you just connect to the immigration thing you're talking about. And I think it's great that wanted to a merit based immigration system if it ever went through, because what it's going to do is, it's going to make the elite. No, it all liberal pro immigration people compete for their jobs with similarly qualified people from abroad when you see people from India in China in Europe, getting admitted here and taking jobs away from media knowing all's or doctors or engineers, or lawyers, maybe those people will start thinking. Hey, wait a second. Maybe we shouldn't just flood the country and in damage Americans abilities to provide for themselves. I think it I think it's great because the poor been paying so heavy a price for a legal immigration for so long. I think it'd be great if we give them a break and. And, and make the economic competition. Take place at a high level of the economy. Let those people suffer from competition, you know, I don't really have a problem with his tariffs situation in this trade war. But I did read something today, and it did make sense to me is that the president needs to understand that saving face with the Chinese is a big deal. And, and it's possible that another approach besides bullying, like he could be tough with what he does. But if you could say it differently in that tweet, they might be more likely to play ball or cave in, but they, they more likely to dig in their heels if they feel like they're getting bullied, and so you're right about that. At their culture, cultural thing. If you seen Mike Pence has been on the stoop, and he's been taking the good club, if the good cop coach. So maybe an olive branch and all the president would have to do is either stop tweeting or tweet some complimentary things while still keeping the same policies in place, but talk a little bit about the, the smart intelligent Chinese. Honorable Chinese people just throw them a bone that would allow them to sign a deal that made it look like it was an actual two way deal rather than that they got bullied because they're going to dig in and. While I agree with many of the president's policies, I think, and you talk about the pushback and folks, hate everything he does even the good stuff. Part of the reason is the same thing. It is, he's punching all the time. And, and when you hit punched, you, you're not gonna like the person who punches you. You're not gonna like there. Policies, even if they're good policies because you got punched, and I feel like people say, well, you know, the Democrats, they resist a return. Well, that's kind of his fault, if he would you could have tough policies, but.

But some accounts pub isn't actually published just a guy's house, and they McGowan that he opened up. You don't need to tell us that you said it was Irish people we've got.
