"500 for half his career. Nobody. Damn, I mean, Robbie Lawler. It was close. That was pretty damn good, but it wasn't. And again, we saw the fall of that spring. Yeah. So we don't know the fall. But it was short. It was the Hendricks files. Quick fat. You know, then he ran into Tyron Woodley and got killed. But Charles Oliveira was a 500 fighter on his way out of the UFC two years before they were talking about retiring. Those who shoot box retools this game finally goes to lightweight after playing around in featherweight and hasn't lost, hasn't only had one decision. What decision and holds finishing everyone holds the UFC record finishes submission performance of the night bonuses. I mean, the man started at like 20. Yeah, but usually, guys don't they find a second wind. They still go, they go, I wanted to, like, three and four. Fuck are they lost? No, no. He's the champ. I've never seen anything like that. Got some hands. He is off who said this? Was it Paul Felder? Was RJ Clifford? So the Charles Oliveira is the fedor of the lightweight division. Fedor used to be in every fight and get in trouble. Yeah, yeah. And then he just beat the shit out you. At some point it was like, he didn't look very fedor didn't look imposing. He would get hurt. He was vulnerable. He fucked you up. Charles, it looks the same. You look at Charles over? Just in case he behind it in the division? Oh, Charles over all time. You said that he's number one? Number one in like, I mean, all time, I think Khabib is the number one. And then this one. It's Frank Yeager. Okay. Then there's BJ Penn. You can put Charles in there somewhere. Put him ahead of BJ now. Yeah, I think it's Frankie everybody because Frankie arrows wars with gray maintenance. Frankie era had no business at lightweight. He was a featherweight. Finding a lightweight became the champion. But Charles Alvarez Khabib was like here, but you also have like right there now. And it's like fedor. He gets hurt. You recovers? Fixes whatever's wrong and then you finish being able to beat him. But as I convincing. Every fight that passes, the first time when Charles over here first one of the titles Khabib won. Second files like bibim two. Fight's getting longer now. No, it is. And if in a perfect world, which will, nothing's ever perfect. If Charles was the finish, Islam akshat, then people would be like, oh, maybe he would. And Khabib should be that's his guy. Yeah. Yo, if I'm Danish, like how many millions do you want to come back to fight Charles Oliveira? The story is. Oh, he ain't fight. He's done. No, he's.

"And Koopa troopa was great. It was great. He looks out of his head. He's like, he said, I love it. Yeah, hanging off by his strength, Jerry. Yeah, hanging on. You're hanging on by his strength. You know, as staying as agent, you know? Because he had nobody left. He was the only client he had left. And he says, I just love it. I love it, Jerry. Jerry, I love it. The way you're hanging on, you hanging on there, Jerry, you know, and Jeff is like, oh, you know, freaking, let me get out of here, you know? I love it, Jerry. I love it. I love you, hang it on. You hanging in there, Jerry. Well, Asuka's hanging in there. He's hanging. He's hanging by a thread. He's hanging by his tread. He's hanging by a dread. He might have to take that fight with Jake Paul. You know what I mean? He might. I mean, we hope he doesn't for his sake 'cause there's no coming back from that, although after some of the pictures that have floated around him, I don't even think he cares anymore. Anything to make a dollar. Hey, one thing that you pointed out earlier about the people that were listening to the last two predictions on going to my bookie would have made a couple extra shekels this weekend to offset the price of this some of these pay per views. But with the UFC, you know you're going to be disappointed in for the guys at my bookie and if you like to gamble and gamble responsibly, you can go to my book he thought AG and use the promo code Atlas. They'll give you 50% 50% credit on your first deposit up to a thousand bucks. So if you put in 2000, they'll give you a $1000 to bet with for free. And hopefully you can take advantage and leverage that deposit and make some smart bets. Like going to the casinos, somebody and your chips before you walk in the door, right? So yeah. And again, please all joking aside. Campbell responds. I can't afford to lose. But if you like to gamble, I think my bookie provides a great product. And for the people at my book and like to play teddy, the line on the main event, just engage Charles Oliveira plus money on gaichi plus one 50 minus one 80 on Charles Oliveira. What do you like? Well, I love the old timers would say can, you know, he's been around a long time and he finally got the title when you win the title you improve 30%. I believe that. And he looks like he gets better every fight. I believe that. I love gaiji. I talk about styles. It's only going to be a great fight because it's a style of gaiji because of his approach because of his attitude because of his mentality, same thing with Oliveira. It's going to be a back and forth fight. I would not be shocked by an upset, but I'm going to go with the champion. Oliveira. Because based on what I just said, all my years in a sport the old times were right. You see a guy with a title, he finally gets the title at 30% improvement immediately. Immediately. Just by winning the title. So I'm going to, I'm going to go with that. But would I be shocked to see to see my man gauge wind up leaving that ring with the title? No. No. And again, that's what you love about the UFC. You can make an honest legitimate argument for both guys to win the fight. That's what makes for good fights. Right there. Right there. So you're going into the vaga Stevenson bank. Now I'm not being a Monday morning quarterback. I'm never that. I'm a lot of things. And people will tell you that. Not all good, maybe. But I'm not that. I'm not going to tell you something after the fact. I'm going to be consistent with what I said before they got no ring. That fight, I didn't think you could make an argument who was going to win. For the Katie teller and yes, yes, but for the vodka Stevenson fight, no. For me, you couldn't make an argument. Only one guy was going to win that fight. Only one guy. And I only explain why. Stevenson was going to win it. But for this fight on the UFC cod gay and aloe Vera, you can make a damn good argument for either side. Well, how about this over under over one and a half rounds minus one 85 for the under, you get plus one 55. One and a half over under. You mean for the over, right? For the under, you're getting plus money plus one 55. If you think it's going over one and a half rounds minus one 85, but that's a super low over under one and a half rounds. I mean, I guess they think the only way I think explosive. Yeah, explosive, which I think is the only way gaichi wins this fight is to be explosive. I think if it goes longer, the longer he stays in there with all of her, I don't know. For me, the longer he stays in there with him, the longer Charles has an opportunity to get him on the ground and grapple him. But gage is an incredible wrestler. But I think they're standing on their feet. On the feet, I think he has a huge advantage. All of that could handle himself on his feet too, but I would agree with your gauge as an event at a probably. We'll see whether or not it shows. But Oliveira, he's a python on he's a python on the floor. I mean, he raps himself this way that way. I mean, he's like trying to really. Who would want to go into the jungle and read so a python? For an alligator. Oh, it's an alligator. But it wraps himself this way of the legs, your neck. Everything. That guy, he's a monster on the mat. He earned that title..

"Huge fights plural per usual. The UFC is putting on a banger of a show, headlined by the great Charles Oliveira against just engaging who's just announced. We got Rose Namajunas on the co main against Kala esperaza. I love rose. There's nothing to not like about Rose Namajunas. Michael Chandler, Tennessee zone, Nashville, Michael Chandler taking on Tony Ferguson, the wildcard, Ferguson had a rough outing his last time. We'll see how he bounces back. And then the opening fight cowboy Cerrone is fighting the legend Joe Lausanne. Joe Lowe's on seems like he's been around for a hundred years. I think he might have participated in The Ultimate Fighter number one, honestly. I feel like he's been around since the UFC has been around consistent constantly tough, but to the point earlier about fighters. He's been around. What a tough son of a gun. They all are. But here's the point I wanted to make. How many losses do you think take a guess? How many lawsuits you think Cerrone has? I would say 14. 16. Lowe's on 16 losses, but I'll tell you one thing. They could have imposed that most people would be because I understand what it's not a dead sentence losing a fight in the UFC. No. As long as you can get everyone with top guys and perform. And these guys supposedly when they were younger, they were learning while they were losing fights. They were getting better. They were getting better. And I know people would say, oh, Dana has an unfair advantage. That's a fair comment. He does. But the problem is with parks and you take a loss, like in boxing, you take two guys haney and Cambodia. When they take a loss from that, it's going to be like pushing a rock up a hill to get like another competitive fight after that because the other top guys are going to be like, all right, we can disregard the guy who lost. Even though style wise, he might be incredibly challenging fight. They're not going to want to get in there with them because he's got a lost and they're going to view it as like, oh, I'm not going to fight a guy ranked lower than me and it just creates this perpetual cycle of reinforcing to people. I don't want to take a Los I don't want to be in that guy's position. He can't get another fight because he's super dangerous. He's incredibly talented. Why should I risk taking an L myself? I'd rather fight the champion. The reason why our friend Poirier, one title, one fights, one in term title, got the huge fights and just knocked it out of the park with the biggest star in the business. McGregor, the razor why he got to the level that he could get those demand be given those kind of fights is because his skill levels kept improving even when he lost. He took fights with guys, danger fight, rescue fights. He won most of them. He lost some of them. But what happened was he improved. He got forged by the fire. He got better and what it did was it put him in position a to get another top fight, but here's the most important thing. And put him in position to win it when he got it. That's what that's what it did by fighting top guys not being afraid to take those and not only be afraid to take those fights, but to take the laws that might come with the risk of fighting those level fighters, but the reward was greater than the risk because you learned how to fight. You got better. And by getting better, you were going to one day beat Conor McGregor twice and make a lot of money. That's a perfect example, teddy, because he took a loss of bad loss to McGregor. And guess what, he went back to the drawing board, got better in either Connor hasn't gone better or he's gotten worse because then Dustin beat the brakes off. I'm twice. And two same two guys, just a couple of years, difference from the last from the time they fought. And Dustin took the loss and went back to the drawing board and got better. And same thing with Khabib. I think he makes more money. I think Dustin makes more money now per fight than he ever did and you know he suffered some losses. He got the loss to Charles lost. It could be but he's losing to the champion and he's right there on the precipice. He held the interim title and he just keeps showing up and yeah, to your point, he's the perfect example of how a loss doesn't necessarily have to be a detriment. It sucks at the time, but if you're a champion, you learn from it, you get better, you come back stronger. Unfortunately, in boxing, I think people would love to do that, but they know if you do have that loss, some of this stuff is out of your control. If the promoter isn't going to give you offer you the fights and the opponents aren't going to want to get in there with you, it's very easy for them to avoid you. And act like this is all a promoters. 100%. Listen, I'm going to add one thing. To that magnificent card you just talked about and you just talked about that it's coming up on UFC this weekend. That you just publicized. The difference between that card and what it's going to wind up being. And it kind of action that's going to be in that octagon. And what happens Saturday night would valdes and Stevenson. This is the difference. This is it. Yes, Stevenson and Valdez with two undefeated fighters. Two top fighters. Two champions in their own right. No doubt. The matchmaking. See, there's a science to it. These guys don't get it sometimes. These promoters, these matchmakers, these TV networks who depend on these guys to get it right. They don't get it right. The matchmaking is so important. You can have a great fighter, but if you put them in there with the wrong style, it's not going to be a great fight. See, that's the difference. These are going to be great fights, you know, why? The styles. Yeah, some of them have laws. Yeah, then I don't defeat it all of them, but the most important thing is the styles to match making UFC does in putting the right styles together will guarantee a great fight. We'll guarantee that people come back for more. We'll guarantee that people leave Saturday night from that venue from their TV sets, being satisfied. Not that they just saw guys go in there that was promoted that they had undefeated records and they had titles satisfied that they saw competitive fights. They saw great fights, great action. That's the difference. That's the difference. There's 15 fights on that UFC card. You know how many are undefeated? Match making so important. None. There's one woman on the early on the cards that's 8 zero two. Other than that, not one single fighter undefeated. I understand how it works. I understand what I'm talking about. And that's why I'm saying the matchmaking. That's the difference. That's the difference, you guys. What do you have say? And watch a fight on ESPN or whatever the network is only like three or four of them out there now, right? I mean, you got PBC with our Heyman, you got, you got disowned, of course, with Eddie Hearn. The la Jolla is hanging on by a string. And. Why? That would be generous. Hey, you got ESPN. You know, get that movie. People like the movie references. Right, Ken. Right? Yeah. They like the movie represents, rob, references, rob. Get out the one from Jerry Maguire. Oh, this is a good one. Where Louis Cuba's junior, I might say his name, I love him. What's his name? Tom Cruise. With the younger lookalike when you were back in the day when they had a young Tom Cruise slash teddy. Exactly. Well, they used to make them mistake off. But now they make it with you. But get the scene, rob the fans are going to love it. Get this scene where Cuba junior is in a locker room. I think it's in the locker room. Yeah, he's in the shower. In the shower and he says to Maguire's having a tough time. You know, Maguire. He's having a tough time. He's out of board from his backside. He is. And he's trying to and he's like pleading with he's saying all this stuff. He's saying all this stuff..

"This was different. It was different different experience than i had ever really experienced. Losing the dozen. Eddie was different than this one. This one hurt but it was on a man. I mean i gave. I gave everything that night. And you know he is great and then with what he was fighting with with the death of his father. I really felt that power in there. And i just don't think that no matter what i did or how great i was. You know. Next to the one in a million. You don't shut their lights out. Shot is doesn't happen often than it was gonna be hard for me to win. So yeah i you know i. I've confident i need to be confident that nobody on planet earth that one hundred fifty. Five pounds can for y. I want to take those shots to walk through shots and continue to pressuring and take me down you know in be that affected so Obviously as a competitor. I was not not happy. I got home and yeah it was definitely you know a period where you gotta soak a little bit but then really just pick yourself back up two times a year and ultimately it was the biggest stage of the world you know for the for the number one prize in the world and i help traced chasing something great. You know i failed. But that's definitely something electrical be that you will experience way to great amen. To that i want to get into this. This matchup between charles oliveira and dust emporia and just kind of your take on it. Justin because i do think it's really interesting. Obviously you face but just your thoughts on what might play out and then how you believe you match up against whoever gets their hand raised there with that title shot. It's a very interesting match up. I mean i got report. You most certainly.

"Which is why. I think he should call the option. Say fighting d. as in december because again charles oliveira various other option right now is going to be fighting. Bonilla darioush okay Much like jet said that's probably two four pay per views But again what are you. What are we missing out on either. Beats charles oliveira for tyler. He beats bonilla. Gary data like dusted. Oh to be both those guys ganci. I think h you will end up fighting chandler. I don't even know if he's going to go to new york in november. I think that's gonna turn political pretty soon So i think it's still going to happen if gates you wins then. Of course yes that does set up you to be in a in a number one contender's position. Maybe he ends up fighting maka chat if he gets past dangerous depending on how things play out so yeah i don't think dustin needs the tunnel right now and i do. I don't think they're going to have him win the title. And then just go to one hundred seventy pounds for a catchweight fight against the as At this point especially if dss now sitting a couple of losses. I don't think they want their lightweight. Champion to even risk the possibility the somehow pull off the upset somehow goes out there and has that leon edwards performance. Where he you know comes surging back in fifth round and somehow gets a finished. They don't want that. Look for their lightweight champion. Unless there's a belt on the line if he goes up and loses tomorrow's mont. It's not bad you lose the. It's terrible so yeah i think you should try the as get the paycheck because the reality is if he fights charles oliveira it's good pay-per-view per view does support as a big name. Now it might do seven hundred thousand buys. That's not bad. He buys as it does one point one million and that's a whole other zero at his paycheck and the day for paper viewpoints I big believer in prize fighting these prize fighters and get the biggest prize and conor mcgregor sidelined navy as is the biggest prize. You can get right now. And i will disagree with what he's never gonna fight george basil. I've actually here let me do a little namedrop doing is they'll do name dropping. I was at american top team a couple of years ago and i saw them sparring. It was a fun sparring session man. They beat the hell out of each other. The mike brown is there is their head coach. Share head coach. They are very close. I don't think they'll ever fight each other even for big bag. I just think masbate all season author enough other options out there with maybe leon edwards or maybe he goes after nate diaz in the future. Something like that. They don't need to fight each other. So nate diaz is kind of the last man standing could get dustin a huge paycheck unless he goes back to the to the honor. Fight for a fourth time dame though. Why damon david hammer point. Appoint for me. He just said they. Dust employ fighting for the bell. He convertible seven hundred thousand buys enormous number. Remember the last time they fought. He fought her record with israel. This on you to uc to sixty three de israel had the rematch between figueredo marino. Ed thanks sold thing. It estimated six hundred thousand buys so. Dan just said that he can pull more by himself. He has contributed to your c to sixty three even if you give it a bunk because it'd be fighting a. So the confluence of power. There kicks it up a notch he's gonna do substantially similar. Andy just gets the goal. He he wants that gold. He needs to get their gold because he deserves that gold and he can pull money with anybody he hits. The world is his oyster. He doesn't need to take a detour right now today. Land but the fight will draw better eyeballs ideas. Fighting the on edwards is a fight. No one really cared about. Let's go let's just be honest about that. It was the third fight on a per view. And no one really cared about that. Fight that much Nobody did and it was supposed to be defined to put liane edwards over and then he goes on has a fifth round where he nearly gets finished and now all anyone can talk about his ds. Nadir's headlining against george mazda. That did great. Pay-per-view numbers nate diaz and a fiery. Fight against those two guys. Do not like each other and to hyper will be built around that to close out the year december. You're telling me that wouldn't be a huge show. Absolutely be a huge show. It'd be far bigger than anything he would do against charles oliveira or Or or bonilla dare you so just again. Reality is doesn't story much. Bigger payday fighting. Nate diaz and the risk is minimal. I mean again. We both admitted. He'll beat nate diaz. Chances are but the unknown factor the nate diaz factor still out. There people still believe in him that he can pull off the upset. And like i said i don't think once he gets the titled is really going to be there for many more especially if date isn't willing to cut to one fifty five so yeah i think that's the gopher the bank man go for the paycheck. Make your bank make your money and then go get that seidel damon. How does not as do this. I mean people love the guy and for twenty three minutes and change. He got the work from liane edwards in june. It wasn't like the most aesthetically pleasing fight of all time. Leeann go out there and land four hundred strikes autumn david of the year. But this one way traffic through twenty three minutes but you know the everyone remembers vital ninety seconds or so of that fight before that he was getting the would put to him as jed misuse as so often by mazda fight is stopped very few people thought that it was going to get any better for nate but his value just continues to skyrocket whether he wins or loses. And he's still mentioned in these fights with these guys that the vast majority of people feel are so far ahead of him. Like if you asked one hundred people who wins between eighteen ninety eight are going to say dust emporia probably wins that fight but there he is in this conversation. How does this happen. And how does he keep doing this. There are a few names in the industry where losses just don't seem to matter until it gets ugly and the reason i say that is is because the three names mention always seem to get the fights. They want the big fights they want and get you name at certain times. And that's the as nick de asked for a long time it was. Bj penn now sadly we know bj the his career did not go well. And i think we're past the point where anyone we call him out and feel good about it but there was a time when even bj off a bad loss or a couple of bad losses people. It's still ceo is. Bj penn is alleged. Of course give fight when it is coming back head and fought in five years six years now and people are like. Oh yeah give him liane edwards. Give him him gilbert. I'm like he hasn't six years. Is less anderson. Salah middleweight contender. That's just the appeal..

"Know this is a this is a tough one. Because i think a lot of it really does come down to dust and preference but i would say the chances that they book nate diaz against dustin as around an eight or nine and the reason i say that is because this is it's quote imminent. He's got one shot and what i mean by. That is if he goes out there. Beach charles oliveira then. Ads fi goes away. They're not gonna let him fight for a title. I think we all know that part of it's not gonna happen. But in warriors case he can cash in any other massive payday before fighting for the title while everyone is still already calling him. The best lightweight in the sport absolutely no disrespect to charles varies incredible fired or put together an incredible resume. What he's done lately has been fantastic. But i don't think anyone is fooling themselves in believing that disapora isn't the best lightweight in the world right now inactive competition so dustin doesn't need a belt right now to prove that everyone's already calling him the best lightweight in the world so if he wants to cash in on another massive payday connors gone for at least a year before he could bludgeon him again and our scoring other seven-figure payday as the only other die out. There he can logistically face. Who would give him that kind of money. That kinda pay a relatively short amount of time. We're already into august december. Not that far away. He fights the as in december and then he moves on the troll of various. Basically this or nothing. Because of each charles and i like charles but i think does support. Wednesday fight then goes away forever. And then he's fighting is lamarcus. Then he's fighting just gage he again. Then he's writing maybe michael chandler down. The road goes away forever once once. Dustin and champion jed. What do you think what are the chances the fcc calls a ufc esque audible and goes portia de as next over the title fight. Four four out of ten. I'm getting a little more credit to it than maybe i should. And really that's just because I think he really really likes money. Because we all really like money man and the best place to get money is fighting mate. The because you're going to get a win and you're gonna get a big old payday. I think one aspect of this. That hasn't really been considered talked about for me is poised willingness to do this. Is i feel like the habib loss. Still plays a factor for because in general. He said you know. I'd like to be the champion at some point. But it's just not a big big impetus for him and to me. The only reason that kind of makes sense as he he recognizes that he is the best guy in the sport and all. He's done his lose to habib but even if he's the best lightweight active competition thing part of him so recognizes that he's not really the best lightweight in the world. 'cause abi isn't dead. He just is choosing not to compete. So i think that makes it a little more likely because because of the whole history for. But i still think he's gonna end up fighting charles oliveira because i disagree with david. I think that the ds fight absolutely still exists. If roy gets the bell media's isn't dropping to one fifty five to compete for the lightweight title. That's just never going to happen again. They more likely to fight at one. Eighty five years to fight at one fifty five and so i can handle his business. The belt that he so richly deserves later this year and then he can pick and choose his spots like sure in this world. He's the champion he's supposed to face. The neal dairy issues is on market chefs of the world. But we know that's not true. Like you have to fly guys. You're supposed to do as the champion as anyone paying attention to the sport for the last five years like he can just have the belt and they can do in. Interim title hype. Tweeden neil dare is the mock chef it will sell four paper views It will all be people from that by that paper view. They can win an interim title. It'll be great employees can go. Fight nate diaz. I know that their teammates trading partners. But i firmly believe that boy and mostert all would set aside a a teammate hood. To get that bag and no they'd be getting that bad dudes fought like i think he can just pick up the belt to pick it up and he can still do whatever the hell he wants because we haven't gotten to see yet because he has only fought connor this year. But i think we're in for the dust and foyer conor mcgregor bomb beating connor twice Doing it in fact fashion the first time and really being his asked the second time. Even with all the weirdness it surrounded. I think dustin pori could very well be like a a real paper view drawn his own white now. the next fight will determine. You know we'll see but if he's that if he's what i think he is in that he gets to call. The shots doesn't matter whether it has a belt or not. So if your dust emporia jed if the fcc called you and said yo diamond what up you pick title fight or nate. What are you picking. If you're dustin are you just going title and then you just feel that nate is just going to be there whenever you need them essentially. Yeah that's that's me i mean. Honestly there's no wrong way to eat this recent mike. Like he's gonna beat nate nate. It's going to beat him. So if he goes and fights and beats nate then he can still fight for the title. After that over he goes and wins the title. He can fight and beat nate after like his option. The only reason i would choose to take the title now is one a checks. The box is like damon. I agree. I think he is a hundred percent going to each There and so it checks the box. He no longer is an interim champion next. He is the former actual. Ucf speeded pin. And if he passes things get more interesting. If if all of air has to defend because let's say Gauge is fighting jammer theoretically new york. I know all in the air but say you fights that just engaged to beat that ass is michael. Chandler's sucks fighting at me and Just engage he will. Then beat that ass charles oliveira to I am of the opinion that just engages the best lightweight in the world. Right now Dust employees deserves that title because of the win over what is accomplished. But if you put those two dudes in a cage. Tomorrow i'm vic engaged. Beat him and if he waits he might not come back all very he might come back to a much more difficult style matchup because if he waits and then he gets injured now now beats nate. Okay now he's not fighting till the end of next year for the belt by that time. Shit maybe as a mock grachev. Who's the champion. Maybe it's just engaged like those are hard hard fights and i don't know that the appeals to say thank you pick up the bill right now and as is always gonna be there. Damon do grew. Jed that poor on his own could be a box office draw because of the connor rub like has he ought gotten that. Because there's certain guys that have a laura. We'll we'll dive into nate and his lawyer in a matter of moments but doesn't hasn't done a lot of media since he'd be conor mcgregor i know he's matured and he's kind of let go of what he feels is the less important part of the game. He wants to go in there and train and fight. Dudes isn't wanna do media interviews but is that maybe a mistake here coming off that went over. Connor like should have kind of gotten out there a little bit more and built his name even more so or was winning and was winning. That fight enough. I think the mystique of what does has done. This year is enough for him. He doesn't really need to say much. At this point. He destroyed connor back in january and he seemed like he was on his way to really destroying dismantling connor. A second time with a broken leg. Connor coming unhinged since the fight going after everybody you know from dc to being you know pretty much anybody and everybody. He's not going to fight. I think dustin could just sit back and relishes victory knowing. He's got one over on conor mcgregor. Conor mcgregor is fighting this war for deported because worry got him twice and on the gregor going lunatic has pretty much proved appointed a beat him and beat him to the point where we're not sure what kind of connor is gonna come back from that broken leg So i think as a perfect position right now where he gets the call the shots. He's in a weird position where he's not the champion but he really does get to call the shots right now..

"Acl i mean honestly you can write. You can get through stuff but it the lateral movements and everything's a lot different. Lots of things are different. But you know when you talk about ardian islam. I feel like this is going to have to tell us. Honestly who's in line. I know it's hard to say when you've got guys like chandler engaged in fighting but when islam fights. Rda right in for all the fights is slumped wanted a role for all the fights aren't the will have wondered if he gets past islam right. That'll be tuna. Roll back at one fifty five after being successful about one seventy now you gotta start to consider whether or not this guy gets another shot at the title so i truly believe that this is going to be a number one. Contender's fight because chandler just fought for the bill gates. You just fought for the belt against bp and if you're looking to get new fresh matchups you gotta start to kind of look at rda versus islam fight and think one of these guys has to show me like that. They deserve a championship opportunities craigslist. It's such a tough division and it's actually a division with stars that are beyond the champion and we used to seeing that usually when a guy like charles oliveira wins the championship. You're not talking about. Who's next in the pecking order. Feeling this way about them. With this type of excitement this type of reverence this type of understanding of okay. This guy could be the next champion. This guy could hold the bill. But that's probably because. I think people are still kind of disrespected charles over one hundred. Normally when you gotta champion you. Don't go this guy. Maybe a few champ. This guy's maybe a future jam right. I think people are living in what they saw from. Charles and the past not the charles oliveira of today and i know we solving vegas. You big charles. Very winning hundred. Yeah you know. Every every guy that walked off the stage. It'd be honest. Because i was thinking to myself as a former football player guy walks around over two hundred pilots. Could i take that were. This dude is five. Seven cannot and charles walks up if you've never been close to them you don't understand how wide shoulders on why how long his arms are. But i want. I want to tell you this the dc. You never get another chance or a second chance to make a first impression. Yup right we saw charles oliveira struggle earlier. We not be able to handle adversity. And i think for so many people even though you come back after a bad first round against chandler and get the knockout. It's so hard to forget those things and that's what we are. I thought i thought that. But i thought that and i know we were talking about islam. Rda but now we're on the. I know we're on the champ. Not but the thing about all for me was that because of what he did because of him bouncing back in showing that in that adversity he was able to dig through. Overcome to become the champion shows the maturity. But i get what you're saying about first impressions meet a lot lately. It's hard to make people forget of the times that got beat by so many guys we're dealing with a different human being right absolutely and who ever is going to step across the octagon with them. We'll have their hands full. But first we look to you to sixty seven. Because that's going to be a fantastic fight between those shifts. Nosql is going to be a great fight. That's the fight. I think that islam needs justified it. Rda wanted this either puts islam on the map or rda back on a map. So it's gonna be a treat going to be a fantastic fighting on last weekend right. We had usc we had bela tor. We had bare knuckle..

He lost two fights two great Fighters. It wasn't like he fought some bumps thought. He looked good in the gauge in the gauge. He fight. He didn't look in this fight. He looked flat and he said he said he looked flat and then there's a video of him doing like windmills on his arm to show his arms fine home and I was like one the craziest back. I love that. We did you see that video where he's he's spitting. Yeah, I do. Yeah, he's a mutant do too. But I think that now Oliveira should be in the discussion with if to be comes back for that 30 fuck that give it to this to that would be a great ground game battle and I don't know man, I think his boss. I don't know. I don't know. I I don't I mean, well those are all dead hooker is calling all their pussy. I'm not really sure how you can call that guy person get that from what kind of dog Cuz that that's the most policy ever. Number one. I just I don't see that. I mean, I think he wants to fight because there's I mean it doesn't make any sense that I mean, I I like Dan hooker, but what I thought well that's the only fight for Dan hooker who like that's it's ranked above him. That isn't already scheduled for a massive fight cuz Dan hooker is ranked. Sixth rank. Five is Conor McGregor Forest. Tony Ferguson three is Charles Oliveira to is Dustin Poirier in one is Justin gaethje with khabib still being the champ. So that's the only person ahead of Dan hooker..

"Nine PM at our leading market key fights like people that that guys like you would live in that world are really looking forward to headline is good what is the headline heavenly did this for a lightweight it's not a title fight around I just it was just a normal fight night but armies facing Charles Oliveira and it's a very good fight all of there is a submission artist you fifty but he usually finishes fights when every winter weather to submission or knockout it's a fun fight look at what is a light weight limit one fifty five one fifty five yes it was going to say one forty out of enough okay one fifty five all right well I'll be something anyway for you you fans tomorrow and that'll probably be later that one because you know let's face it they they you know they'll be closer to nine o'clock it it's it's if it's the only sports in town tomorrow so it's on ESPN that you reserve must be SPM plus it will be on ESPN plus as well but it's going to be on the big time ESPN and that's huge for a first for the I love that no one ever wants to watch we listened box a few weeks ago the Tyson fury fight Deontay Wilder everyone couldn't stop talking about it I wasn't really good fight no it was a lot of entertainment it was a lot of hoopla and I always tell people like if you're into combat sports appeared to boxing take a look at MMA no interest it's different too much now you got no choice if you really want to watch is competitive well said and I'm not that good at taking anything away from WWE I'm happy that it existed might because for a lot of people this is something to do but if you want a competitive sport but this is the only thing around I get a horse racing horse racing and that's it yeah there's a couple of Willis's wonder B. prep tomorrow that I know that there might be two and under some next weekend and the only problem right now though as Mike mentioned it there may not be a derby which should be awful specially for those of us that made future bets like me enjoy him we get the rebates but you know I got there's a lot of pretty good price so I don't know it's so frustrating to not know the future and to not be able to plan and I really do commiserate with everyone and I do I do think it's it's fairer to to straddle the line when you're discussing your disappointment because you're disappointed about your son or daughter missing their senior year of lacrosse or baseball or softball or whatever we know when the people that are complaining about that or disappointed we know that's not a health issue that's much more serious we understand that there are levels of disappointment but that doesn't mean that the disappointment isn't real they give you a ticket to the opening day with your nine year old you know you're not get not back you'll be ten next year it won't quite be the same only a little I mean it's just you know time is valuable and it is obviously fleeting and when it's when it's gone it's gone you don't get the days back we talk about that all the time so so everyone sacrifice here big and small Israel and it's valid well that's nothing you see what happened well no it's all something you know it's all something it's all degrees but it is all real and your right to be disappointed then I'm happy that whatever it was that you were supposed to be able to do you're not able to do now I don't think anyone should feel guilty about feeling bad about it because other people have a worse other people in life always have it worse when we're disappointed always always have always will this is no different in that regard there are always people worse off than ourselves and better off than ourselves that's how we live let's go to Saratoga and talk to add he's next on the fan at eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six during the conversation what's up born in nineteen fifty one you alluded to the nineteen sixties growing up in it news you talked about events that happened what the most dramatic event that happened in the nineteen sixties for me with the Cuban Missile Crisis in nineteen sixty two right that was really the start of it in terms of the turbulent nineteen sixties that was really the first thing and it just it just cascaded from there and you know the civil rights and JFK and the assassination and the the entering of the Vietnam War and and you know R. S. K. and Martin Luther king and the you know the list just kept going on and on I met my mother two younger siblings going off murder junior high school in Seaford the grammar school and up my mother kitchenettes goodbye because they were the parents were told that if something had happened that day the Russian ships out and turned around there was going to be right yeah the military action that clutch kits would be held at the school because they're a fallout shelters at the school yeah member we used to have I mean those that there was a time where you had the drills yeah the the get under the desk yeah talk yep yep yep there are almost weekly that will start yeah yeah no doubt about it Hey appreciated thanks for checking all right take care all right bye yeah I would you know just talking about you know how your shape to me we we've you know Greg Doyle was on earlier and some people were a little upset because he said this is the softest generation in his in his view the kids are softer now and maybe they are but it's also as and then that's when I brought this up it's a product of the environment that they grew up and you don't it's not a blame situation you know it's not it's not a matter of these kids are soft and it's their fault that's not what I'm saying anyway I can tell you that I'm saying that circumstances toughen you or they don't right where you grow up in privilege and they don't often you but this is one of those times where rare for Americans because we're spoiled where we have to give up freedom something we hate to do Bob in Ridgefield Connecticut is next on the fence what's up Bob Bob Bob are you I'm sure I'm on the road driving from Greensboro North Carolina back to Connecticut well I wouldn't fly dial but what the ACC tournament I want you to call perspectives of the area I think how badly the ACC channel itself L. B. I was the same Tomaszewski and how disappointed do players were but number one the ACC I just think shows very poor leadership and how they conducted itself a we were at the game on Wednesday and there was no announcement whatsoever that they were thinking about having only the players here and be at the game the next day if that we all found out about it by watching it on the on ESPN app and I think they should have been a lot better playing the I believe for example that will determine that earlier I think the ACC should have been more prudent and how they did it and then the second day when they were going to have to stand not go with appearance go the ACC wanted to have the game played but purely for the word down down to Carolina was that Duke stepped in and said we are not playing in this tournament and I took that they were gonna play it turned around the whole thing I think the leadership should have been we gotta respect I'm a bit disappointed for not but again not happening I think they should have better leadership and we have to understand that some things are more important than basketball and industry affairs I am I think they should have some of the better leadership and the second point was the state NC state and to stay the same hotel amid disappointment of these kids sitting in the lobby was just palpable some issues you know we're seniors deserve that chance and I think the NC double a which never does it right Nikolaus seniors have issued eligibility in any of the spring and a winter sports reading about that I think you make two very interesting points the first one I think that the ACC would probably agree with you looking back I'm not giving everyone a pass because this is unprecedented but I am showing empathy that this is unprecedented and that they were caught in a very difficult situation that said leadership is about that right anybody can leave when everything is even when everything is easy when it's day to day and standard and flat line you know leadership is tested when you are surprised when you are disappointed and when people start looking to you for answers that is when leadership is tested always and forever always will be there's a reason George Washington is revered as he is still two hundred and fifty or sixty or whatever the hell it is now years later there's a reason and most of the time legendary leaders face a crisis and get through it in a better way than most other people would because that's the true value leadership and there were and will be and are still mistakes being made but hopefully we're getting better and hopefully the next time the ACC is in this situation they learn from it it's imperative that all these organizations go back after this thing finally hers out and becomes part of history and not part of the present it's important that we all learn from the mistakes we might have made but particularly institutions the public outside political institutions political government situations across the board all the mayors all the school systems everybody have to get back and look at what we do right what we do rock this really is going to need an autopsy after it's all been put away but the time for that isn't now the time for that is not now many in queens up next on the fan have any Hey what's up man how are you tonight all good then good all rights are you stuck with things I was doing a few article is actually on the internet I mean we all are about the drone virus and they you know they start to say that the tide that used on the turn and might actually get better sooner rather than later now if that was to happen now you see all these you know you know the MLB NHL NBA you see that's the thing you know what forget what we said you know couple days ago or what we had two weeks ago depending on when you get better and they start to see like that'll be you think that any check they start either on time or or anything like that if it does get better now no none now and when you want one of the people at all also and it's hard Michael Porter's injury I mean it's unfortunate but you know what if we are going to miss some time then yeah for the time you want to be out because you're not making any game you know you're absolutely right that judge flowery scents but is Stanton Paxton you know not Severino because he's not gonna be back either way but most of these guys are going to benefit locally here from.

"And most of the wrestlers of late have been able to figure that out Lyman good comes from a striking background. And he had I think one successful stoppage. But Maya man, he he's like an Anaconda you just attacks attacks attacks until he gets you down. And and then finds your weak spot. You know, what you're giving them. And then that's it. And he does it all without hurting you which is kind of thing, you know, throughout his career says he still has to fights left, and he's not wasn't ready to lay down the gloves. Just yet. He's not done yet as a fighter but after say probably done as a title contender. I agree. Right. He can give a lot of guys problems. But I think that those top three to four guys I think that times may be sailed. So as long as they put them on cards the way they just did. Now where you know, he's like the third bite of the night or some I do. I enjoy watching Damian fight. I agree spot on notes off Malia. Although I will say George maybe not everybody realized that was going to happen because plus money, I got plus one forty five and that was toward the tail end of the week on a Damian Maya by submission, and then just my loan money line. I mean, a bouncing between minus one fifty to one eighty five. I don't know how you did George, but I'll just say this. I didn't do great. I didn't play a lot either. But by submission Aldo. And Maya say, my, oh, yeah, I took the submission prop. I took my money line, although money because he was he was he was a plus money. So I need to I'd have to mess with props Rondo. And then it did the the old veterans, partly and I just pared both of them together a dog and a favor. There's just you know, it saved my buddy, whether you it wasn't much but say for whatever is Very very cool. cool. All right now, we get down to a one of the controversial moments of the night. Charles Oliveira, he defeated David t more seconds into the fight. He took a ACC, and we all saw the replays. It was bad, man..
