"Of practicing commanders training camp done for the day and some good news for Washington fans running back Antonio Gibson back on the field. He was held out the first couple of days at camp with a lingering hamstring injury Center chase roulier also started the camp on the sidelines on the physically unable to perform list, but he was activated earlier this week after recovering from ankle surgery and today he says he's on schedule. I'm still in the rehab process, so it's not something that I've just forgotten about. I'm still trying to work through a lot of things and trying to adjust my body to the new part of me. There's new hardware literally in my ankle that will never feel fully the same again. So I have to then adjust a little bit and make sure I'm back to how I was before. Elsewhere on the offensive line, Andrew norwell and Charles Leno sat out of team drills today, but no injuries to report there, just a scheduled rest day for the veterans. "But it was crazy. Now, you've talked about your future, your first few future, and I've been doing some digging and can tell as best as I can. There are some places that I think will wind up being interested in you. I want to ask you about each place and just say, what comes to your mom and I say, this franchise, because there's going to be a lot of teams that are interested in you, right? There have been, there's been some speculation out there that the New York Giants with Brian dall their new general manager Joe Shane, all the buffalo connections. There has been some talk that the Giants could be interested in you. Although I personally don't think they'll be able to afford you because they can't offer you the starting job initially. I think you're going to be brought as a starter. But when I say to the New York Giants to you, what comes to mind? Yeah, I think of coach stable right away just because my connection with him in Buffalo, I'm excited to see what he does in New York really. I don't know where I'm going to go, but I know whatever he does there. He's going to do a great job with that offense. He's a great leader of men. He's just reeling authentic with all the guys and I think that's why so many people respected him in our building. So I'm excited to see what he's going to do and then, of course, New York, you think of the city. I haven't been to New York many times, but you think of big New York City and the Giants. So I know coach stable will do a great job and I'm excited to see that offense. As a further enticement, if you come to New York, you have an open invitation to come play golf with me in New York, okay? Just saying, I'm going to take you up on that. Okay, what comes to mind when I tell you the Washington commanders? Washington commanders. I think my two, I think of a name, so you kind of got like a new era on the way, which is exciting. And then you got two of my good buddies, Cole holcomb, the linebacker, and then the left tackle Charles Leno, who I play with in Chicago. So I think of those guys. I think of a young talented roster. They got a lot of good players and I think of my two buddies and coach Ron Rivera. I watched coach when I played at North Carolina, he was at the Carolina Panthers and I watched that team very closely when I was at North Carolina so I got a lot of respect for Cochrane and what he's done in his career. That year they went to the Super Bowl, I was at North Carolina, so I followed that team really closely. Yeah, they got a lot of talent on their roster..

"This with you talking about the stadium. And then also this tweet put out by charles leno. You know charles. Leno is don't you charles charles linda. He's got a tackle on the radio on washington right. He is the starting left tackle right now. Washington football team yesterday. He put out a tweet each week. That the washington football team has a home game. I will personally be giving away two tickets head over to the instagram account at beyond the entertainer to see how to win this week's tickets now. The sure he thinks he's doing something very noble. I'm wondering if you know the team has said to the players by the way it's a good idea if they've said to the players. Look if you have a difficult time giving away your allotted tickets as apparently many. Did on friday night and again. I'm not trust me. I'm not going overboard on a preseason game. Cincinnati friday night i understand. That's a tough ask. I'm just telling you that washington very likely. And i didn't go compare had by far and away the smallest pre season crowd of places that were allowing you know Capacity crowds of anybody in the league. And i think it is a bit of an indication of what we could get here early in the season and i think the back of the envelope. Math is probably pretty accurate on the actual season ticket base which is probably roughly fifty percent of capacity which isn't good for an nfl team. Now whatever i think we all know how they got there and maybe they're going to be able to earn everybody back. But i think it would be a good strategy for the business people jason right to go to the players because the players get a certain number of tickets for every home game. I don't know what what is it used to be. I think six. I don't know what it is now. I want to point out that the pay taxes on those tickets. I know they do that. It would be a good idea to say to them. Look if you end up having a difficult time giving tickets away. We want our players to be active in marketing. These home games. You know in giving away two tickets you know from a player. There are a lot of people. That's that's really cool and by the way there's also probably the perception that the players tickets are pretty good. Tickets lesson If they think they're going to have a good product this year which they might which they might have getting people into the stadium should be their first priority. If the product is good if they think it could be someone and we'll come back and pay for it. Yeah definitely and i think the league actually did them a bit of a favor With some early home games you know. I a couple of years ago. I remember thinking You know they were trying to help them out early. And i'm going to go pull up the schedule because it's it's escaping my memory right now on what the scheduling twenty nineteen was. Because i think it was twenty nineteen twenty nineteen. The schedule came out and Yeah this was the one. The league did them a huge solid in twenty nineteen. If you recall the first three home games were dallas chicago in the patriots because if you recall in twenty eighteen The first home game was indianapolis on a beautiful september day after they had beaten arizona in the opener. With adrian peterson rushing for one hundred yards and alex smith looking good and there was some excitement and they had and they had fifty one thousand and a lot of them. We're cold fans and they're who knew who knew on the colts fans so in two thousand nineteen. They gave him dallas. Which you know for snyder. Okay we're gonna have close to a full house. 'cause snyder at that point had get. He was well past worrying about who was in a stadium. He just wanted people to pay to be stadium and then that chicago bear fan base which travels big time on monday night and then the patriots first. Three home games so this year. They've given him two home games to start. The chargers are pretty good opponent. Now they're not gonna get a lot of the opponents fans there and then you get the giants in week four nights later so it's two home games. It's better than opening up to road games. Incoming home like what. If their first two road games were buffalo in green bay and they came homo into lease are giving him a chance. Before you know you know what kind of team and again. i think. There's legitimate reasons to be optimistic about what they could be this year. I mean they're you know what they're not gonna stink. I famous last. They're not they shouldn't eyder. I don't think they are look. I did your poll today. Like you wanna talk about your poll. You will get radio. We'll get to that in a second segment. But he did you have anything else on this No i said. I said i think look. I've always been a fan of getting if you think you've got if you if you don't love anything worthwhile then you're screwed no matter what kind of promotion she come up with. But if you think you've got something that's worth watching you pretty much. Do whatever you have to get them in the stadium and then you let you let things take over from there. Yeah i mean to a certain degree i mean. I'm not going to pay for ticket. I have zero interest in paying for a ticket this year And you know depending on whether you know. I could see myself going to a game at twenty nineteen was the first year in my life Other than as a super a young child that i didn't go to a game And they sucked. Obviously i could definitely see this year as an example you know if that chiefs game october seventeenth against mahomes and company. That would be a pretty cool game to go to a brady and the bucks back here november. That could be a big game and then there's some massive division games potentially at the end of the year I don't see myself paying To go But whatever I don't know why. I brought this out what i was going to say. Is i whatever they need to do. To get people in the stands. Whatever the marketing program is to your point if they believe in their product and they believe in whatever upgrades. They've made to the stadium to make it easier to make it more fan friendly which i don't care about that crap. I just want him to win. I go to watch the game and root for my team to win. I don't care about all the other stuff You know other sporting events. I care about that stuff But this isn't the one i i just. I go there in hopes of also by the way real quickly. I want him to have a good home crowd this year. Because there's nothing better than if your team's really good on defense and you have a really good home environment to back that up. That can really be impactful on games if your defense is really good and then the crowds there to make it even more difficult on the opposing offense. You've got a chance. You got a really good chance for a a great virement to We'll see them okay. Here yeah Dan marino loves ryan fitzpatrick. You'll hear what he said. A couple of things from ron rivera yesterday and the poll i put out which tommy just referenced all after these words from a few of our sponsors when simplisafe home. Security's founders chad eleanor. Lauren's design their first security system in their kitchen. They did it for a very personal reason. Their friend said just had their home broken into they were struggling to find a security system. That was simple the setup and would make them feel safe again. Making people feel safe is exactly would.

"Starting to get those sales rolling in right, and so Just to stand in the way of that, because you don't want to leverage in 2000 and 22 draft pick and your little bit iffy on whether the coach and general manager that you have the utmost confidence in deserve that confidence. That was always ridiculous. I told you the bears. We're gonna have the green light on draft night. They had the green light. They drove through it. They got the guy that they wanted. And here we are now with sort of a whole new mood. Whole new conversation in town that you know two weeks ago would have seemed unfathomable. Don in Georgia, Don. What's your question for Dan? Hey, guys. Long time listener. First time getting through. Thank you. No problem. Just wanted to know with the release of Leno. Do you see any more releases coming, possibly toe free, Uh, take three of some more money, possibly to bring in another left tackle like Fisher or another cornerback. You have done. Ryan said on Saturday night that they were gonna have t keep an eye on this sort of unusual free agent market that exist in May because of all these cap casualties around the league, and so now it's up to them to determine what they want to do with all these other positions. Obviously, the lentil released today is a release that under normal years, probably one that happened. He would have been your place holder and a guy who's obviously been more than that. He's been a durable starter and a guy who's been in You're starting lineup for the better part of seven years. Right? X plus years here in Chicago, and so now you cut him loose. You get $9 million on your cap back for 2021. You can play around with that. But now you've got a look at this market and figure out internally. How much time this Kevin Jenkins needs to become a starter for you. Can you find another cheaper veteran that can come in and be your week? One starter while you get Kevin Jenkins ready, right. And so maybe you've got a left tackle on the quarterback who aren't in your long term plans. You're basically building a bridge to these rookies that you expect to be part of the future. And so that's something they're gonna have to do it every position. They're gonna look up and down the roster and figure out how much money do we need? Where can we said some stuff? It's a tough break for Charles Leno to be let go in this fashion. But this is the business of the NFL and Bears are flipping the page, and now they've got to figure out what to do with that position. Did it surprise you to hear that Kevin Jenkins is going to be their left tackle? I think that Yeah, I am surprised because you talk to some people around the league, and there's some uncertainty on whether he has that capability. I think there's a lot of people that think he could be a salad, starting right tackle for you. For a long time didn't have a ton of experience that left tackle in college and now to roll. Those dice is is something you have to have great confidence in your coaching staff and want to steal to bring out the best of him, and I like Jenkins, you know, personality wise in terms of the skill says there's some things to work with here, and he's the type of guy that will take Hard coaching and constructive criticism, like one could steal offers in a positive way. And so just as important as Justin feels development will be the development of Kevin Jenkins here, But, yeah, there are legitimate questions on whether he can be an anchor. At left tackle, which is obviously very important to the development of your franchise quarterback who's starting a quarterback. I mean, Andy Dalton's Your Week. One starter. I will not change my mind on that until it's August, and I'm seeing things in practice with my eyes from Justin Field to say he's ready. The NFL level, but there is absolutely no reason to rush this. Matt has been clear that they have no intention of rushing this. You don't want to force a rookie quarterback under the stage before he's ready and put him to The negative experiences that don't necessarily catalyze his growth. And so this is why Andy don't must sign that. I told you guys when all that outrageous, bubbling up in March about Andy Dalton being the signing that they were going to take another swing at the position they were going to do so in the draft, and so it was going to be Andy Dalton's job to become his long of a bridge as you could possibly be. The Mike Glennon Bridge broke off. Four games into the season, and everybody crashed into the for the lake below it and they need him to be capable of going much longer than that. Even a field sort of accelerate the timeline. It says. I got it from here. You know, when we two weeks three, you know, you know, I think this goes in the October before we even start having the conversation about Justin Fields being the starter. And then we'll see where it goes from there. It didn't Aziz, you zoom out and you look at how things unfolded. Why do you believe Justin Fields was available at that time? Why do you believe that? Shanahan decided. Trey Lance was the better choice for the San Francisco 40 Niners. Why was he available? These are all fascinating conversations, and they deserve a deep dive in the months ahead, because, really, you know, on draft night, I think it was fascinating for us all the follow this and you say, OK, Shanahan goes with Trey Lancer number three. What's Atlanta going to do? If Atlanta decides that Justin Fields is their quarterback of the future? We're having a totally different conversation in Chicago this week. And for the foreseeable future, Then you get to that 789 sweet spot on the draft board where he had. You know the Panthers and the Broncos in the Lion's always quarterback answers with a question mark behind him on the roster, but but still capable of pulling the trigger there, and they all decided that they weren't gonna go with Justin Fields and they were going to go in a different direction. Look, there's questions about Justin feels he's He's Ah, complete quarterback, but there are things That you wonder about right? Can he get through his progressions fast enough. It's not an attitude thing. It's an efficiency thing. Can you get through the reeds fast enough to get there? Can you handle pressure on a consistent basis? I've heard from people around the league that they look, he's going to need to clean up his footwork to be in sync with the timing that the NFL passing game Demands of you. And so those are all things that you've got A look in them. The Bears don't have to ask the questions on why he was available. They were just lucky enough that he was available and they could pounce on him. I'm gonna get to Ohio State prospects here just for some perspective on the evolution of this NFL game, the first prospect 63 £235 ran a 40 yard dash of 4.49 seconds at his combine. The second one is 632 27 ran a 444 in the 40 at his pro day. I think he's just yes and fields whose prospect day The second one is just it feels Prospect a from this year. No, because yeah, because that was at the combine. So are you going to tell me it's the kid who Washington drafted? I'm gonna tell you, Eddie George, And so when I tell you that your interest in me that you see that you're starting quarterback or your future quarterback here comes in the same size. Basically the same speed as Eddie George and control the football like he can throw the football. You understand why people are excited. And why either open in terms of the plane making capability and all the different things you can get out of this kid..

"Do you put stock in the fact that those were not great run defense is they were facing or do you put stock in the Maybe Even the offensive line is not as terrible as we thought they had their issues at the end of the game like everybody else on the field. But they're on their what? Six Federation of the offensive line and certainly not household names. You know, left to right now that they they're trending in the right direction. I mean, I don't Given the limited draft picture have unlimited capital may have. I don't know how how many moves you can make on the offensive side of the ball and upgrade positions. Can you live with this offensive line moving forward? If they continue to show what they've shown in the last couple weeks and continue to progress? I will talk with Jeff Dickerson and 11 o'clock He's out at Soldier Field is the Bears and Texans going at it. And J D had a really good point the other day, he said. You could probably go with the middle of the line because right now you have Cody White hair. Sam must have heard center and also you have al expires at the other guard position. Those guys have actually shown they're playing well, you're going to get James Daniel's back. Which is that already, you know, he plays a guard or center position, so you gotta figure it out. But you probably need the two new tackles replaced the two tackles, replaced and shady and mentioned. That's why they should have gone out. Got a tackle this year because it's tough to go in. It's time to go to a new season with two brand new defensive or offensive tackles. Look and left tackle position. You know, if you find someone on the free agent market, it cost you a boatload of money. And you usually don't find him on the on the open market. So Charles Leno. I had him cut a month ago and he obviously had a big issue at the end of the game. Last week, so you certainly can upgrade there. I just don't know. How much of an upgrade you can get via the draft or via free agency 3123323776. We're looking at ways to improve the team when they still have four games remaining today against Houston next week. At Minnesota the week after that at Jacksonville. Then they wrap it up on January 3rd against the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field.

"S o Flowing down. Aaron Rodgers isn't easy. Um, bears were going to ask their task tomorrow. It looks like as of injury or for injuries. Looks like Akeem Hicks. It could be going out without a key makes. He did not practice yesterday. That is not good news. That's not good news you want to. You want to clog up the middle? I actually in the last game he played, I actually had had money out of him to get a sack. And if you remember when he pulled his hamstring he was chasing the quarterback has come on that didn't That was the last game. Right? And I go just chase him out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage. I get a sack. All about you isn't a fraud. Wallet? Yeah, At that point, they're gonna keep losing losing. Why's well having about Akeem Hicks to that a lot of the reporters. I think JD said it as well as Wieder is. He's one of those guys who he just needs to be ready on Sunday, right? Like they don't care if he's gotta did not practice on a Friday or Thursday. Whatever doesn't matter. Yeah, just throw him out there on Sunday. He'll be fine. Yeah, but I mean with a hamstring. I mean, if he can't Every time he pushes off. It's gonna be, you know, aggravating to him, so I don't know. I've had hamstring injuries before. Not nearly as big as his. Did you just have one in Vegas? Well, falling down, But, yeah. Um, So, yeah, I had one, too. And when I can't imagine how he's going to get down in stance and actually then push off, But we don't know, hamstringing. We don't know how serious it is. Yeah, To what degree That was bad enough. He had to come out and he had no he did. But that was two weeks ago, and he's he's they listed as questionable or definitely out. I think these questions. Okay. Well, there's There's hope yet, Yeah. Charles Leno is also also did not practice He's listed as questionable. Jason Springs would be a guy that would take that spot. Their offensive line has been a shambles all year long. It's funny. There are times where I don't think it's been his bad his last year. I think Nick Foles does a really poor job of getting away from the Russia. So that exacerbates the issue. Doesn't Yeah, but you need your offensive line to be together. You need the five guys to work together to learn how to play together, right? And unfortunately, these guys aren't together enough because one week there's another distance. There's introductions. Yeah, I'm sure you get a nice to meet you. Okay, beginning of everyone, So it's um It's been very tough on them and Wait. I love this couple things I love about the season. Darnell Mooney. I love the Bears made a picture of a guy that can actually catch the ball and run fast. And we see a more Yeah..

NFL hit with more positive COVID tests and injuries

"Sports. Here's Jordan Burn Field. Thank you, Steve. The NFL has had pretty good luck with teams being able to plow through the pandemic without cancelation, but that is in jeopardy. Now. Reigning NFL N V P. Lamar Jackson among several Ravens, who have tested positive for covert 19 positive tests continue to pile up for Baltimore. They were supposed to play the undefeated Steelers last night. Game has moved this Sunday due to the positives. Now their arm or the NFL may have no choice but to cancel that contest slated for the afternoon. Right now, the Bears on scheduled to play but who starts a quarterback? Sure looks like it'll be Mitch Travis Key. The back of QB has taken all the snaps and practice this week. Nick Foles has remained out with the nailing hip Bears left tackle Charles Leno practiced missed practice rather with a toe injury. The came Hicks was out as well with a hamstring bears and Packers slated for Sunday night. Turkey

"Say, we got to go old school will try to run roughshod over and we'll try to impose our will. I think the Cordell Patterson sweep is the Kung Pao chicken. I think you might be. What's the eggplant Parmesan Robiskie package. Now it could be a big a big fan of the farm race. Salmon. Delicious. They say, That's the first thing you can eat. Fresh got to stay away from that farm raised So you keep the hope alive. Tom Palace, Sarah says the 40 Niners packers gave me on his schedule right now. So good, good. All right, so it's still on. We'll see that. That's good. I guess we're going to learn a lot in the coming hours because the 40 Niners had to shut it down. But you know to the Bears in to some of the injuries in your makeshift offensive line. Maybe they can finally just kind of keep it simple. And they can run the ball the way they didn't charge her game last year, so I would act and looked at the Green Bay Packers. Will we played there trying to figure out exactly what everybody was drafted? Kenny Rutgers was a left tackle. First round pick out of USC. Right. Left. Left tackle. Was Adam know is Aaron Taylor? I don't know. Turn aim, right, Right. Frankie Bag of Donuts was 1/10 round, but that's free agent, But you're centers you find late. You always said write well in the 10th round beings he wouldn't even been drafted today. That's true. Wouldn't even be drafted. Adam Timmerman came out. I believe Yankton or Augustana in the seventh round. And Adam Temperament was a solid guard form solid plan and went over to the sailors tramps after that, correct and played on that Super Bowl team in 99, then the right girl dots in third round pick out of Texas and all right. So I mean, it's not like you're going to have smooth first rounders all the way across you've got. You're going to have to hit something somewhere and have guys perform March house Sure was 1/7 rounder. But he was a tackle for a long time. Lago is the first round Problem is, you're like when you bears I mean again. Ryan Pace has been making draft picks for the Bears all the way going back to 2015. He's drafted two tackles, one in the sixth round and one in the seventh round. I mean, I think like I know what you're saying. Sometimes you get lucky, and you find him. But when we wonder why they've got this revolving door at the yearbook and positions why they can't find a really good left tackle why Charles Leno hit for a little while for them, but is hardly a long term answer, and he's really struggled the last year and a half. It's because he himself was 1/7 round pick that goes back to the previous regime. And Phil Emery. If you're not investing, Cem Cem draft some serious draft capital in those players in that position, aren't you always just sort of spinning your wheels? I mean Arlington Hambre drafted in the seventh round. The only other tackle he drafted true tackle was all the way back in 2015 his first year. Pulling the trigger. Any drafted? Remember this name? Fabio Luger. I mean, he never lasted long at all. He was in the sixth round. Before that The Bears drafted Charles Leno in the seventh round Jordan Mills and remember the Jordan Mills experiment that was in the body that was in this in the fifth throne. A tackle. They didn't draft a tackle in 12. They didn't draft They dress the last time they used a first round pick. Unfortunately, it busted out. That was Gabe creamy way back in 2011. So the last time the Bears drafted a tackle in the first round, maybe they thought Kyle would be a tackle. At some point. Obviously, Kyle was a first round pick, but he mostly played. He did have a year attack. We mostly played guard. So maybe there's a little caveat there. They did Draft along in the first round, obviously in 2013 with the 20th pick, but the last tackle they selected Technically in the draft in the first round was Gabe creamy in 2011, and that kind of blew up in their face. Unfortunately, Boston and another tackle it took Remember the guy that came to campaign had a bad back. You're talking about your purse. Williams from Vanderbilt, Yoriko. You're right. He came, too. Can't be in a bad back in 2008. Yeah, So the last two guys they have taken in the first round. But before that, the last tackle they took in the first round was Marc Colombo tore up his knee. Now Mark went on to have a nice career just didn't happen with the bears because the knee injury was devastating. He went down. He went to Dallas, and he had a couple of good years and doubt. Think about that guy's all the bitching and complaining we do about quarterback. Look at the first round tackles they've drafted and what's happened to them. They've all busted out. I mean, this is going to take some research. But has there been another franchise and football that's going a decade without drafting a tackle. In the in the first round. I can't I don't know how long T if I look back the last 10 years. I'll bet you in the first round there have been at least 42 tackles. Offensive tackles taken in the first round, and the Bears have taken none of them Last 10 years. We'll try to do some of that research. That's a good call. 3123323776 bears thoughts if you want to join us. I mean, there's always so much to unpack here. We're always talking about the same thing. This offense can't get going. What are they going to do? Do they keep it simple. This week is the audience reason could that actually work against the Titans team that started 50 but has now lost back to back games? And in fairness to win its fifth needed overtime to beat Houston when they had a lead. They let the Texans comeback and not only take the lead, you know, tie the game, but take the dollar. Miami Carm, don't remind me. Why did you have a better had No ID The Texans on the money line when they came here? That's right. It was the little guy was a tough loss. So it's a winnable game here again, despite the five into record and the fact that the Titans were about a six point favorite 312332 ESPN. That's the number Carmen in your Coke. "Yeah, I just checked. Lamar Miller is still listed Practice squad. He is not on the active roster and on the depth chart. It goes. Ryan all our pierce. Miller is still Listed a Z, a practice squad player as far as your players are concerned for fancy football, we've got Miller's fancy moment coming your way at 9 50. So if your fancy football players get your lineups in because of the Bears and Bucks tonight, Miller's fancy one will take your fancy questions starting at 9 50 or Tweet him at capped J. Hood. On Instagram and Twitter. Looking forward to that again, Keyshawn Johnson will join us at 9 15 get his thoughts on Whole bunch. I was actually at the Rose Bowl, and he Just crush Northwestern's hopes. 1995 that got bawled out, man. Keyshawn was a beast. I remember that very well. And so when we look at this Game tonight. I'm really keyed up. I'm really looking forward to it because I just want to see if the Bears can show us something that we did not see the last game against the Colts cap. I mean, look, the last time we saw you with the Bears and Colts, we saw a team That looked so limp offensively, you couldn't tell. The difference between Travis Keone folds in that regard. Third down ineptitude issues trying to be able to move the chains until the last moment when you saw the codes pretty much play, prevent and allowing that last minute touch down. Those last seconds of the fourth quarter was just so This hardening toe watch that because you saw the coast. Letting you in the game was a sloppy game sleepy game because it was offensive taffy pull. I just want to see some fireworks offensively. And if that means that you've got to run the football, ah, ton to be able to keep the keep Brady on the bench. I'm totally fine with that. So That offensive line. The Bears? Yes. To be able to run the football. Yes. You have to stay wedded to it. Yes, you have to be consistent. And if you get two yards, keep pounding away and wear them down. But the one guy on that offensive line that has to be better tonight and I'm talking markedly better. Is Charles Leno. Like I'm okay with Daniels and white hair and a fatty body Mass is not great, but he's been okay. Charles Leno has got to be better. Honestly, when I'm watching offensive line playing, and you have the all 22 to be able to see individual plays from these guys. The only time that I think the average fan looks at the offensive line is if there's a leak. It's never the pound the back because of pancakes. It's not a fantasy stat that everyone has. So it's sometimes very difficult to see in real time. That's why I like football when it's shot from the end zone. I could see everything. There is always a sod from the 50 yard line. I think I think I think football broadcast have done it wrong for a long time. I like it from the idiot from the end zone. I could see that You don't want to watch that during the game. Yeah. Yeah, We've been seeing it the same way forever. Give me a replay. Fine. I like this. The look from the sidelines during the game when I'm watching is a fan. Here's why I don't mind. The endzone Cam and the XFL did this. Originally the first XFL. Because I could see where the right receivers going like I could see that a whole play whether or not right why receivers finally get open or not. We see it from the side and all of a sudden the wires. He was disappear off your team, but the running plays you get to see more from the side. Sure, but they'll spread teams that throw the ball. The wires here is disappear. And if there's a quarterback, too, has a problem trying to get the ball down the field you like. Well, what happened? Who was open? It doesn't give you the full story all the time. That way, it really doesn't. Like like a falls. For instance, When you have liked to see the end zone, Candace see whether or not Miller was open. Mooney was open or did it order falls? Just miss it. Maybe they could use that view. Better in replay. I don't wantto watch a game that I want to see that even if it's an alternative broadcast, I need to see that I need to see because I could see the defense coming. I could see where the wide receivers air going. From that end zone camp. I like to see alternate broadcast that way. An alternate broadcast that way. Yeah, I think we're going to get to the point where your TV will be able to. Not tomorrow. But eventually, you'll have a button on your remote. You could change the view of the game. Yeah. I want to watch from behind the picture. I want to watch from behind the empire. Whatever the case may be, hopefully right in our lifetime will be able to see that, but I just I I want to know offensively, whether or not there's going to be a spark tonight. We quote the numbers earlier in the numbers have not changed since the start of the 2019 season nags bears of average just 1.9. Offensive touchdowns 18 points per game. Since we 13 of 2018. Maggie's offense has failed. The two top 20 points. 19 times in 28 games. 19,000 is the offensive genius they brought in here. Right? Good coach is going to be let go of some point because of numbers like this..

"Okay. Maybe this will turn out to be an eight or a nine and seven football team seven depends on injuries. We see so many injuries around the league. If the Bears are not in position in the first round draft I'm talking about. Well, we could read to take it I'm talking about you're picking 14 And there's no quarterback sitting there that you have consensus in your room. And you go. We've got to get that guy. Then you better draft an offensive tackle. You better get the best tackle on the board because Yesterday. And as old and said, I thought very Perfectly put, he said. You paid average money for Charles Leno. He's like 16th highest paid, he said, and that's about where he is. He's not a horrible player. He's not a great player. He's a very average. Offensive lineman or you need a freaking beast at left tackle. Because yesterday, our offensive line I mean, our defensive line had our our offensive line had big troubles with their defensive line. Big Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, I got your ass with it. It's it's it's rare because the running game has had been working last few games. So where was the running game? The offense of line did not provide the holes. Montgomery also didn't provide the hole for himself. It is putrid. When you run the football for 28 yards, you would think if you're going to run the ball 16 times 28 yards. That means that the offense had 400 yards receiving right? Not the case. Not not just Just a bland Really boring football game, But it's a win for the Colts. And just Ah, Ah head scratcher because it's a short week. How do you clean that up in a few days? That's tough. "Caplan. I'm Sylvia. I resent that. I said that to the guys that the break I mean, what the hell is that? I resent that. I mean, I don't represent that I resented. How did I become you Don't camp voice of the Bears. By suggesting I thought 31 was a little bit too pessimistic. If you don't have a quarterback. Do you have anything? Okay. And then you add to that that they not only do they not have the quarterback, but you may be of the worst drafter in the NFL. And you have no you don't have a lot of future picks to crack the problem like the coach. I still like the coach. You like two defense? I like the defense a lot. Okay, well, then I think you're better Don't like the offensive line. I mean, what what is besides the centre? What? Which offensive line? Would you say? Boy. That guy could start for any other team. I think both for Bob Massey, Robert Massey, and it's not Robert. I know you're there. Robert. Bobby massive right on. Charles Charles Leno. I think that there middle of the middle of the road, I think Lana is better than Massey, but middle of the road, serviceable guys that need to be need to play better this year than last year. I'm you know, I think Daniels has still got a chance to be a decent player. But I'm not high on that. I just listen, I think like way were going tore you. You think that the Detroit Lions are set up better than The Bears. That's a good point. Like with Stafford's future in the next three years, you guys paging you hates that. Yes, you do. You all hate Stafford. I don't hate him. I just said you think the Giants you all of a sudden. Now you're Giants fan. You a Jets fan. I think the disasters forever. I told you in my personal ranks. I've got the Bears 28. I've got four teams worse than them. Jets, Jags, the Washington football team and the Panthers. You got the right to Washington's ahead of us like no big stand around and have to bind the Bangles you but I mean, like, I love Joe. But you get the number one pick quarterback. Fine. They're not 31 there. 27. Okay, 25 24. 22. I'm not a captain. At that point, I'm with you out there in the bottom third. That's got him in the NFC title game. Bottom quarter. I just listen, I'm not thing is those dolphins They listen, they got to us. I don't know what that means. But at least at least they're moving in a direction You're making a face. You should see the face of it went to is to a situation than the exam because we're all so in the middle. Not the guy, right? Oh, gap. Begetting It fulls this postseason performance wavelengths for the 1st 13 game, But I'm not telling you again that he's Tom Brady. But I just don't. I don't get all of the I don't get all of the negativity to the point Where everything you look at, says bottom five or bottom for years again. You just got to take the teams that don't have a quarterback. And those are the teams. If if Nick how many teams have a quarterback if Nick Foles was so guys hate all the quarterback Nick Foles with sodium good, Why wouldn't they just elevate him to the starting job? Mitch? They haven't though. They still refuse to give that that that's your that's the worst take of the day right there. Do you really believe that they're going to tell you They don't have to tell you so they don't have to. Why would they do it? Why are they masquerading around? Like, why do they need to stand point? They don't feel the need to serve your purpose that maybe no. Nick Foles doesn't excite anybody. If they believed it full harder. Let's just address your put. That's not how they work in the National Football League, my friend. They're just not going to do that. Nick Foles was so good, though they would elevate him to say so good. Just told me he won a Super Bowl. Look at that playoff run that he AG. That means he's not horrible. Bears football, but I mean, I don't get it like it's not. It's not. It's not black or white. Most things in sports are great. I tell you, Nick Foles won a Super Bowl in has a pretty good postseason record. That's a great comment. Hey, great. He's not horrible thing. I was listening the other day to cap and this this formula of winning with Justin. Okay, quarterback in a great defense. Reminds me of trying to win with eighties baseball by stealing basis, sacrificing and hitting for average, like is this not old and played out already, like, how sustainable is a team? With just mediocre quarterback play and a good defense. We've been trying to do this for 100 years here. We've been to two Super Bowls of 11 that was in 85 86. We continue to try to win football games the same damn way in the city. We We play defense, and we just hope that the quarterback is good enough to keep the rig on the road. Got to find the right guy Quarterback like we want batting average yet batting average, like No one like Chicago Bears football hasn't advanced with, like The modern NFL in years. But yet you guys are fawning all over Tim Anderson because you want a batting title, So it is important. You look at me with that. I'm looking at everybody. You want to look this way because you're across from me when you look straight on you when they look sideways, you know, I'm still skeptical it. I'm just saying like, I'm not. I'm just telling you I can't see batting average and then you know, I think Sylvia's right though, if you're gonna win a Super bowl with, like led by your defense That's fine. You just have to have one of the greatest defense is in the history of the NFL. Because those are the only defence is that do it. Let us see hawks can I can I can I hit the rewind again, Then I hit the rewind button any well, first you got to say, Take that You guys were actually taking that that approach. I didn't paint you a picture of them being top five. My point is, I find it very pessimistic Toe have them at 31. Then you guys just went over 100 year tradition of bears not being able to solve their quarterback. That's a different conversation. Well, but that's what the future is. If you don't have a quarterback, you have nothing. So you don't have a quarterback. You don't have an offensive line. You don't have a guy who could draft and you don't have a coach who commits to the run. I don't think they're 31st I'll row I'll readily admit that this is partially because of my feeling about Nick Falls and Mr Grabowski. But the truth is, and I think, Sylvie pointed out. It's generally those lists a three year list in the NFL, 75% of his probably driven by who Your quarterback is, and right now, I'm convinced personally, Mitch is not not a starting caliber quarterback if you want to be a playoff team, and Nick Foles is a one year stopgap. So, from my perspective this first year of this three year plan that ESPN is grading you on right, there is basically a wash. And then I don't even know who the quarterback after Nick Foles is a year or two from now, I just find that there are a lot of teams in this league that deserve to be in the same spot if I added that And the other thing is my conversation started with an analyzing what Lewis had to say You all love Lewis's perspective. Don't you know you're right. The description doesn't match the number. That's where my point is coming from. Many things are in place in Chicago. Solid coaching staff. Strong defense, improve skill position. Players in an old line that has some good pieces to improve about court competition will decide the fate of this franchise, both short and long term. I love Louis. But if you tell me, that's the reality that's your analysis, and you have them at 31st that those things don't connect. You can't connect those two dots. We should talkto. Why don't we talk to feel there's someone else who had a saying? We talked to Luis last week. Tomorrow or the next day. We should talk to one of the guys followed because we always talk about how the nationa National people don't think very highly of our bears like again..

"That grant center stage. How I think you're you're off on that. Because the Sweet Sixteen come on. It's Thursday the tournament. We'll get a whole bunch of games on Thursday and Friday right here. Right here. But there at night they start in the afternoon. No, no shots. The first games like five o'clock till correct six. Oh nine. Thank you. Take that shoot baseball game still going on. Yeah. You're telling us and take what it's baseball will be on seven hours later. It will be going to go to overtime. You'll be Blanco by a couple more of the please don't what the old sweater letter sweaters. Okay, by all of them. And then burn them all collectively. So nobody else can get next up on shirer, no shot. So the NFL owners are in Arizona, and they're looking at a whole bunch of different rule changes and things to consider. They're looking at replay. There's nine proposals to consider one of them has to do with looking at penalties and being able to go back after a replay into insert a penalty so shot or no shot the NFL should change replay where you could stop replay of a play on the field and then insert a penalty after the fact. Yeah, I don't want them to be able to say too much what we're going to go back in. And we got Charles Leno was holding on that play. No. And so she missed Leno holding on to play to replay. You can discovered is that what you're saying more or say pass interference. Right because everyone takes a look at the saints game in the way that finish in the NFC championship game. There should have been pass interference called that. It was not called. So could you insert a pass interference and say, all right. The Rams penalty. Saints..
