"To talk about today but first breaking news out of miami gardens. The miami dolphins will be without wide receiver willful or for sunday's matchup versus the buffalo bills. The team is calling it. A personal issue and brian flora's even when as far to say there was a possibility for may not suit up the rest of the season. Obviously a lot of unknowns. But what were your thoughts. Jake when you first heard this friday afternoon. Josh first and foremost i mean the seed blake first weekend forever where the dolphins were gonna have a completely clean injury report willful or was the only one who wasn't listed as a full participant in practice on both thursday and friday. But just i do have to say. I think we're kind of over-reacting about this. A little bit will fuller was in the building wednesday. I believe he was actually in the building thursday as well. I'm concerned for some things are bigger than football. I don't necessarily know. I mean ryan floors declined to say preston. Williams who is fully active is going to be playing on sunday. So i think that's more displays being bryant floors as much as odd. This is something that's gonna completely ruin season. I hope that isn't the case. I hope everything is all right for him and you know. We can't really speculate on too much by terms of what's happening on the field. It's gotta be a little disappointing to not see him out there. Yeah and especially because we sat here and we you know we were pretty stoked needed. A podcast on wednesday talked about the impact he could have. You're right where i think. A lot of us are kind of you know thinking the worst year i was actually listening to the press conference. So i mean a little bit of brian. Floors tone is kind of why. I think it might be a little bit more serious but like you said this is bigger than football. So thoughts and prayers with will fuller and you know whether he's back next week or the week after he doesn't play at all. I mean we should all support him and a with anything with the miami dolphins football in general. It's the next man up mentality you know they said like you mentioned preston. Williams was a full go. Could we see some more reps out of him. Will you great you know. We joked about the depth chart not meeting anything. It was the one at the top of that. Depth chart before moore was activated. So i don't know who the spells is going to get more. You know reps. I think we're going to see a big jalen waddell but it hurts when we sat here and said what could impact he can bring and what he can do that offense because if there's any team they need a fuller against it would be the buffalo bills after that dismal performance last season. Just i think. I want to start calling you the parent the receiving core because you always see the best in this group you know you always see the upside on there with the team. Everything with this team. I probably saw good in charles harrison. That spin movie had to get out of the house. Go get a job. I've sick of you pick them up as he's walking down the street with his bags they just kidding man. Come back. I that will be the data. I'm going to share my face and just had the mustache for the rest of the season. It'd be the data this receiving core. It just fits what you do because you always seem to see that upside at the bottom of the roster guys at it's understandable because whether it's the third of the sixth receiver they're gonna see the field right. They're going to have opportunities whether it's akeem grant taking advantage of those are dropping the couple deep ause he gets. That's a different story but just let let's talk about williams here for quick because each of start before he got hurt last season. He received five targets in each to kind of give that a little bit of context that put him with miles gasket in jalen waddell last week. In terms of the miami dolphin receivers were targeted. The most only devante parker had more targets than those two. So i could see preston really diving back in and becoming part of this offense because he is someone who's gonna wind up in the slot. I think a lot of time but he does not fit that You know usual side. I like to say wiggle that quickness you see but josh what makes preston millions such a good start receiver and receiver in general. Because i go back to it. This is someone. You've always loved the unicorn glitch. Whatever you wanna call him. I mean you've always been a heightening for yet that's just Maybe that's just some some who i am. But i'm you'd go back to that cardinals game like you said jake four receptions sixty yards he had that touchdown i mean. He looked like a difference maker. He looked like one of those guys. It to you know how to report within realize that dude's man-to-man coverage there's no safety over top. I'm gonna take a chance because press says more of that big bodied receiver so he brings a different dynamic. That slop position. I don't know again who's going to get the most reps here. I mean just because he practiced full doesn't mean you know he's going to be a full. Go with with anything this weekend. But i mean if you get presley's back in that line of bringing in a guy that you don't wanna as more of like a devante parker but he fits more of that mold in some of these other guys. You bring another one of those in here. Y'all mike now. You've got six five pressing williams and then all that speed around him. I mean again. I don't know how you attack this buffalo bills team but they gotta play much. Better offense Last year. I think you know have impressed williams back in. The lineup could definitely helped josh something. I thought that was interesting from week. One is it was the miami dolphins spinal drive in. It was too at the five yard. Line that first island completion to Devante parker that really hope. The dolphins sample out o'clock there. Did you see the quotes. It too was saying about that. I mean i was gonna say killed a lot of narratives. Didn't i know a lot of people as a one read quarterback neil. He doesn't have the manpower. The ability to check plays at the line. And i don't have the full quote here but he basically said you know it was i in fourteen. The ball was maybe at the two yard line and a he checked out of a run in the huddle and found devante parker on that slant and i think he gave him what thirteen yards at that point..

"My name is Nigel. Jason hammers right over there. Hope everybody had an awesome Labor day weekend. And that's what I really want to talk about this second. I hate starting out segments like this. I wanna talk about Labor Day and the awesome college football that we saw so much to be positive about. But the violence in Indy Over Labor Day weekend specifically on Labor Day Hammer, six killed in a 24 hour span from Sunday into Monday. Unbelievable and at one points on Monday on Labor Day you had four shootings. Four deaths in four hours in just four hours now is to put this in perspective. When you look at that 24 hour stretch Indianapolis beat Chicago and I'm not just talking about per capita I'm talking about overall totals the actual number right that Sunday into Labor Day that 24 hour stretch Indianapolis had more Shooting deaths than Chicago did. There was a 17 year old. Who was shot and killed while playing ball with his younger brother, and this was four o'clock in the afternoon near East Ohio Street in North Randolph Street. Two brothers out there, just playing ball. And one of them gets shot and killed. There was a fatal shooting. That happened not too far from where we are right now. Here in downtown, this was at the intersection of Washington and Davidson Street. That's in the middle of day, wasn't it? Both of these 3 30 in the afternoon and the brothers the fatal shooting there was at 4 15 in the afternoon. So we're not talking about two o'clock in the morning or something like that. We've all heard that expression. Nothing good happens. You know, after midnight or after two o'clock in the morning. This is the middle of the afternoon on Labor Day. So that I mean, look, you have certain people in the media in this city that will accuse guys like us in this radio station of perpetuating the myth that India's a violent wars own. You know, look at me and drinking a beer on massive at two o'clock on a Saturday and nothing's going on. Oh, boy. Yeah, Look at me. I'm walking down the canal with three o'clock in the afternoon on a Sunday and it seems peaceful. What are these fear merchants talking about? Well, this is what I'm talking about. Right here because it's not just, you know, that's widen your perspective. If you think that because it is just I mean, we're on track again. Like you said, to reach 275 murders By the end of the year, possibly more. I'd take the over on that one. That's unbelievable When you consider what the city's homicide total used to be. Not that long ago, there was a time again. I'm not talking about 30 years ago or 40 years ago around 2000 and 12, where if the homicide total got above 100? That was just devastated. That was unacceptable. And here we are. We're going to be pushing 300 by the end of this year. And you hear guys like Reverend Charles Harrison, often 10 Point coalition, he was on with Abdul, who was filling it with for Tony this morning talking about again the revolving door, the criminal justice system. All these hardcore felons. That are repeat offenders getting out on cheap bonds. Or maybe the prosecutor isn't doing his job. I mean, this is all things. These are all things that we can change from voting out the City County Council to voting out the prosecutor. You are going to have that Marion County residents especially going to have to do Uh, take some action at the voting both When we spoke to Abdul on Friday, he did a lot of polling about some folks in Marion County. And to me this kind of sums up where Marion County is right now, according to the polling data that Abdul's company did. People are concerned about the crime. But they don't necessarily blame anybody for it in the city. Well, if you're concerned about the crime You start with the top. You go toward the mayor. But also you have to look at the prosecutor and you have to look at some of these judges when we go vote and we've talked about this before night. Usually nobody does any research on judges, right? We're all ask that one question on our ballot should judge so and so be reinstated. Unless I've heard of a major scandal. I admit, I probably put yes. To reinstate the judge. But now you have to do some homework going to have to do some homework here because there are too many repeat felons out there because of these judges. Look, I'm going to be the first to say I will applaud Boss, Hogg said. For putting a bunch of money in the budget for I m P. D. Credit where credit is due. There's also, uh you know, we're able to use that those federal funds for covid to help in the community as well. But that's that's not going to last, and it seems like we've been throwing money. At this problem for a long, long time when there's other sections that we talk about other, um, again with, you know, letting criminals out hardcore felons repeat offenders on these low bonds that get arrested as only to go out and commit the same crime again, and it affects Disproportionately the African American community, which is equally as tragic and sad, and we've established this a long time ago. But you're a much nicer person than I am. I'm not giving boss Hogg said. Any credit because this is something that should have been done long ago. The only reason it's being pushed out there now is there's some chatter that he may run for mayor again. Because surprise surprise. The Biden administration didn't pick this goon up to be part of the squad. Think about that for a second. How bad do you have to be that the Biden administration isn't picking you up to make you part of some sort of cabinet position? So, yes, I get it. I'm happy that he put that stuff in the budget. But we've been calling for this asking for this begging for this for a long time now. Only now is he trying to address what's going on? Some other news here. There are some documents that have been obtained. About Dr Fauci and his relationship with that lab in Wuhan. Oh, yeah, We didn't Buzzfeed first kind of broke the story about some emails. Through the freedom of Information Act that came out and now this is something different, though Yes, the intercepts has obtained more than 900 pages of documents. Laying out the work and the correspondence that Dr Fauci has had along with the NIH with that lab in Wuhan. Now, Dr Fauci from Day one, has adamantly denied The NIH funded gain of function. Research in Wuhan. Right gain of function is just it's a scientist tinkering with the virus to make it more lethal. And these newly released documents show that not only did the United States and the NIH fund that Dr Fauci may have been in some Cover your backside mode here, tweeting. I'm sorry. Emailing it about two o'clock in the morning. Frantic meetings because he knew his but was going to be on the line Here. You look at. I mean the big bombshell from the Buzzfeed article a few months ago. You know, you look into all this stuff. Is that the head of the Eco Health Alliance, Peter Dacic, You're gonna hear that name and he equal health alliance in this controversy. Thank Fauci in those emails, for quote, dispelling the myths around the covid origins and blamed Fox. News again. Dacic was the guy that sent that email He ran the firm, the Eco Alliance that took grant money from Fauci and gave it to the Wuhan lab for those virus experiments, and this is again backing up with those emails that were released a couple of years ago, say If I told you there's going to be a United States Senator that's going to be the first one to talk about this report. Who do you think it would be? Well, probably Rand Paul because everybody was lambasting Rand. Paul when these articles came when these emails came out, and he grilled Fauci about the NIH funding, gain of function research, and everybody was Saying Rand Paul is this conspiracy theory wrist? He is just biased. He is a partisan. He doesn't like Fauci. You know what a conspiracy these He's an Alex Jones in the Senate. Speaking on Fox earlier today, Senator Rand Paul know what I think the reasoning behind him being so resistance so livid and so full of at Harmon,.

"And monument circle, scattered showers and storms tonight. Mostly sunny tomorrow. I'm Stan Lear. Here's what's trending and three or two. Indianapolis is on pace to have a record breaking number of murders this year. Reverend Charles Harrison with the Indy 10 Point Coalition, believes the police are doing their job. But the problem goes deeper. People who are being arrested for violent crimes tend to be put right back out on the streets, so there doesn't seem to be any accountability. We have this catch and release this revolving door tells 93 WBC's Abdul Hakim shabbas. That officers are frustrated because they keep arresting the same people only to see them get back out on the street with a low bond, a man called police in New Carlisle thinking he had hit a guard rail with his car on the way to work. Madison McGill reports that was not a guard rail. It was a person. When officers went to state Road two and Pine Road, they found the body of Joshua Ram. Police said that Ram had been walking on the road and was hit by a car and thrown over the guardrail where he landed in the cemetery. The driver is cooperating with police who are waiting for the toxicology results. RAMS autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. "Early this morning. In all, six people were killed. Reverend Charles Harrison Within the 10 point, says Indy has a higher murder rate per capita than Chicago. There's something going on in Annapolis that is unique to our city. That we have to address if we're going to reduce this rising crime, and he says he doesn't buy the argument that the pandemic is a main cause of the violence. For the second time in two weeks, an inmate has been killed at the U. S Penitentiary in terror hold. Stephen Canada had been only been in the building for a few hours before he got into a fight with another inmate and was killed. State police also saying that an inmate at the state prison in Miami County was found dead. Thousands of brand new Chevy pickup trucks are parked at the old GM plant in Kokomo. "Friend, Reverend Charles Harrison, the 10 Point coalition. We'll take a look at our crime issue. Sort of summer is winding. Now we can look at the summer in retrospect. See what's ahead for the fall. And also, we'll try to find out too. If, uh, Anything the City County Council the city Indianapolis is doing. Has got any potential of working. It's obviously in the mayor's budget because of Covid $19. Going to hire more police officers. Invest more funds. Into crime prevention grants and mental health. My worry about all that folks has always been not so much the the investment Which I support for the most part. It has also been waiting to do with the money runs out. Does. It reminds me Of Oh, gosh, it was 20 years ago. Bill Clinton became president, and they had the funding for 100,002 police officers back in the early nineties. But then the money ran out. So all these municipalities who went and hired all these police officers. They went back to the original numbers because when they let officers go or officers retired, I left the nutrition. They didn't fill those spots, and so we're just kind of back where we were before hand. And so that's what I kind of. I kind of worry about. Is that where the money's going to come from? Then the other part that I worry about two. Is with the crime prevention grand dollars. Because if you look at the results so far They haven't been all that great. Like I said, we spend millions of dollars in crime prevention grant money. What? We got to show for it. It's just more dead people. So I'm not sure. If handing out more money is the way to go. Or maybe do a little bit of a better job. With the money that we're handing out. So that's my kind of Kind of back and forth on On that one. So we'll see. Like I said, Reverend Harrison will be with us on tomorrow's program also, uh, What's that? Jeff Mauer? Libertarian candidate for secretary said he and I we spoke recently. We have that interview for you tomorrow morning as well? Probably in the six o'clock hour. I think I still gotta put Tomorrow's show together. And then Oh, by the way before I forget Lovely missus. "If you don't mind, he minds He minds but regret apology. These are not questions. This is this is silliness. That's what it is. But did you check out mayors? Answer. Mayor Life in Chicago regarding crime Begin, sir. I ask you to get your facts, right? Um Crime is not out of control in our city. In fact, crime is on the decline. All of our major indices showed a decline in and crime and homicides and our shootings year over year are down. That's a fact, sir. And you, sir, I was polite allowed you to spew your rhetoric, which is offensive to me and others. But I'm trying to be polite and professional and answer your question. But if you want to write your own narrative and irrelevant to what I'm going to say, and what the facts are, then we'll just move on to the next reporter. I guess everyone's learned from Trump. Look at that. Teaching the world Donny JT. No, no, Just just me seeing that. Meanwhile, in our beloved Indianapolis We have 122 homicides in six months. Dr Charles Harrison, the reverend putting this out on Twitter. More homicides in the total number of homicides in 78, 2009, 10, 11 and 12. Um, just noticing what I'm noticing what I'm noticing. Is Is the is the city now going to say that things are better off. He also notes that the city has given out millions in crime prevention grants with no impact on reducing the surging violence. Now I said this yesterday, I'll say it again again. I'm not mad at the Reverend Charles Harrison. I think I've been for the most part supportive. I've had him on the show. I'm on the show again. When you set putting out information I don't mind you Putting out a tweet. When you want to discuss the problems. Of the city. I think that the or or trying to get things done a tweet won't do it. You covering 5000 people to mayor, Hog sets office. You have to bring 5000 people to a City County council meeting. You have to force Zach Adams and to answer questions. I mean, he won't. It's too busy calling people who want to eat at Shapiro's deli Nazis. Ah, you're bringing that NRA You're just and you want to do it in your restaurant and just you know you're supporting Nazis. That's Zach Adamson. I have said it. I'll say it again. You want me to say it to his face? Gladly, but I try to avoid that dude. Oh, who needs the hassle? He knows what he is. I think that's why people get the the the idea that somehow this show and what we do every single day is a problem. And by the nicest I don't even know what that means. He's calling people Nazis and I'm the problem. You see how weird that is. What I'm saying to Charles Harrison is gather your forces and engage You walked the streets of a butler Tarkington and change the dynamic. Now walk into hog sets office walk into Zack Adamson's office, walk into about Bosley's office and don't necessarily be kind be direct and forthright and honest. They're failing the city. Tweets won't do it. Tweets can be deleted tweets can be blocked tweets Don't get seen 5000 people in your office with a whole bunch of video cameras that gets noticed. Emails, emails get deleted. Showing up. Knocking on the door demanding action. In a civil way that gets you places. That's just what I want you to do. You're you're the guy. The city won't do the work. So you can either do the work or you can force them to do the work. I think you've already done the former. I think it's time to do the ladder. We'll have more of this to discuss. I will catch you guys on Tony Katz today. Starting at noon. You're going to want to be there. Matt Bear. He has traffic..

"India's northeast side near East 42nd Street between Post in mid Hoffer roads. Both Children are recovering, but police are trying to find who's responsible. The shootings continue to be a problem, and it's only gotten worse, says Reverend Charles Harrison, with the 10 Point coalition. "I'm Stan were on the level on the go and on Wi be si dot com. Hammer and Nigel believe these characters are weirdos on 93 wi Be See, My name is Nigel. Jason Hammer is here in the city of Indianapolis is getting ready for the spotlight. The 105th running of the Indy 500 is this Sunday. Hammer. You were out of practice over the weekend. The fast nine yesterday. Awesome atmosphere. We'll get to that in a minute. It should be a fun time here in the city. But the crime is rampant. It's out of control. Uh, Andre. We had two more killed in one seriously injured. At a hotel downtown. Let's say hotel downtown. I don't mean like a some shady motel six. This is that hotel and watching to the street, right? Next O t g I Friday's It's been there forever. The Fairfield here Million? Yeah. Um, two killed, one seriously injured in that That happened overnight. And when you look at what happened over the weekend There were two double homicides. There was a time sorry to double shootings, a triple shooting and a quadruple shooting that took place over the week that those air known as mass shootings. And it's staggering night. Would you look at the numbers that this city is doing every single weekend? Here's an example. Friday through Sunday, he just here in Indianapolis alone. Just Friday through Sunday, 22 people shot Re stabbed and there were six homicides and I spoke to some of my friends in law enforcement and They say the weekends in Indianapolis. It's like a war zone with the amount of shots fired runs that they have to go on responding to calls of shots fired. It's like a third world country now. And this isn't who we used to be. We used to have the occasional shooting. I'm not going to say that we never did. But we weren't having multiple double. You know, multiple triple quadruple shootings taking place all in one weekend here. I have a story. I'll relay unauthorized, sir. I'm not going to say which department was from, but an officer was being tailgated on 4 65 recently. Like like real close to the guy was tailgating the police officer going 70 80 Miles an hour down. Um 4 65 to the police officer kind of breaks. Pulls over and then pulls the guy over. That was tailgating him. Right, Officer officers like what? What are you doing? And the people that were sitting in the car said, Hey, we can do whatever we want now to y'all. So that's the mentality that was the basic essence of the conversation and the cop. His credit, stayed calm and cool and said, No, you can't and if you do it again. There's gonna be trouble. And so from there, it kind of, you know, dispersed, But that is the mentality we're dealing with right now. But hey, defund the police right Police reform. See how well that worked in Minneapolis in Los Angeles and yours ST Louis where the majority of those cities that passed legislation to quote unquote the fund. The police in some capacity have already announced. Yeah, we're gonna put some more money back in because this was a complete disaster. In Minneapolis. They were complaining that officers were slow getting to crime scenes and that the crime was getting out of control. Well, what did you expect? And the same thing with Los Angeles and what's problematic about Indianapolis? Is that the criminal justice leaders Continue to blow off the suggestions from some of our city leaders. Whether that be Reverend Charles Harrison, the F O P They feel like they've got a good grasp on this boss, Hogg said. Remember, he ran on the crime and safety platform and the Democrat Heavy City County Council. They didn't even bring up crime at the last meeting, smoking in the park hot Damn, that was on the docket, but a crime in the city making sure Marion County businesses can't maximize their profits and open fully. Is co vered dissipates and more people have the vaccine. All boy that was on the docket. Yeah, we can't let these businesses open up. Can't let them operate at full capacity, And they're real tough guys on social media, too, and there Running snarky things back to people in their communities who were wondering why things can't happen differently. They're real tough about that, but they didn't bring up crime at all. The last City County Council meeting Not even spending five minutes on it. It wasn't brought up at all. Ridiculous s O. That's the bad news. The good news, though, is that it is indeed race week here in Indianapolis. Nige. We are having the Indianapolis 500 something we did not have one year ago as we head into Memorial Day weekend. And man. It was great to see fans back out at the speedway yesterday. Having a good time, you know, engaging with each other there. I was, man. I took the kids out there. They brought somebody's with him. We had a great day in the crowd was really good. I went out on Sunday. They had action on Saturday and Sunday, but Sunday when they have bumped day and the race for the pole stands were pretty full. I sent you a couple different pictures, anybody yelling? It's about masks or anything like that. I mean, anybody has family. Nothing. And that's what was great everybody. There was cool. There was nobody yelling, put on your mask or calling for security. That guy's not wearing a mask. There was none of that. It was what everybody was doing the right things, right. If they're replaces the spread out, people were spreading out. Nobody was openly coughing and sneezing and anybody's face. It felt normal again. It felt normal being out there. And I knew that we were back as a city and the Indy 500 was back when I saw a drunk guy fighting with the yellow shirt. That was the moment for May that I said, we're better. So there was an incident with security, but it had nothing to do with the masterly. They like that guy's being allowed. Obnoxious drunk, right? Okay. If you haven't had an argument with the yellow shirt, have you even really been to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway? Like Were you able to like walk around on the concourse by the Dakota and alone? Those places? Yeah. Beer vendors and food and all that. Not every section was open. There are a lot of places that were closed off. But you have vendors open. You know, the march tents, all that kind of stuff, man and people were there having a good time. The weather cooperating. Missed it last year around this time, and then they moved into 500. What? Last August, and fans weren't allowed to go, and so we missed it that time around as well. So it's just It's just right having this before Memorial Day weekend because that's what the race is all about to honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. "Child, all dead. All dead. You just have to ask. How did we get to this point? What is so bad in the 17 year olds? Life to make you want to kill that many people to have it in the back of your mind that you're going to kill that many people? What has this kid's seen what has gone on at home? How do we stop this and prevent it? Because if we just sit back and complain and yell, and nothing's going to change, it's going to continue. It's going to get worse. We've seen that. 2020 was awful record homicides. 2021 calendar rolls around, and now we're on pace for 300 homicides in this city to crazy number, man. Crazy, unbelievable and unacceptable. What's happened in the city. Right now. Indianapolis 25 days in. We've seen 86 people shot 17 people stabbed. 21. People killed in just 25 days. So when you add it all up together, That's 103 people shot and stabbed and again. We're on pace for over 300 homicides. Let's hear from Indianapolis Mayor Jo Hogg said the last year has seen a national surge in deadly gun violence. The causes of which are still debated. But almost certainly are, at least in part tied to the economic and personal anxiety faced by millions of Americans. Due to a global pandemic. So boss, Hogg said, blames this on the pandemic. It's like just the crime in general that's been happening here in in central India recently, the last 5 to 6 months. I mean, which is laughable to May. I understand that it is. I mean, don't use that as an excuse. It might be part of it, but this was going on. Before the problem was going on way before the pandemic Hammer. Just it seems like e. Don't know if police could have prevented what happened there on the East Side and Adam Street, But I think we need more police more community policing. More. 10 point coalitions patrolling the high crime areas. More dialogue between community leaders right or investment in places like the Shepherd Shepherd Communities and Yell Pastor Charles Harrison for the 10 Point Coalition could only do so much right, Um And what he does isn't perfect. It's not a cure all for everything. There are still homicides, but every little bit helps. And what's frustrating, and again. I'm a lifelong Indianapolis guy, man. I've lived in Indy in the surrounding areas my entire life. This mayor, the mayor's office. They are acting like they don't need any help. They don't want the help from the F O P president. They don't want the help from reverends and clergy throughout the city. They feel like they've got a good grasp on this. And that is laughable. And that's embarrassing. And boss Hogg's that should be ashamed of himself. But he's not. He's not ashamed at all. Let's hear a little bit more from the mayor of Indianapolis. What happened this morning was a mass murder. The choice of an individual. Or individuals to bring and I do not use These words lightly terror to our community. You're right. You're absolutely right. But where have you been? Over the last year last two years since you've taken that oath of office to become the mayor of Indianapolis. Where the hell were you? Because I know we've talked about this on our show Our families get together and talk about it. Everybody is aware of the crime in the city. You can't come in right now and act like you're flabbergasted because six people were gunned down in one place. I'm surprised it hasn't happened already. I liked what he said yesterday about going after the individual or individuals. Now we know what 17 year old. Juvenile in custody. I'd like the fiery We're going to use every resource you don't have to where we're going every resource the FBI, whatever. But I want to see more of that. I wish we could have seen More of that leading upto such a horrible tragedy. Doctors 5 33 Today F o P. President Rick Snyder is going to join us that's coming up here and just about 20 plus minutes. "It's no doubt the people are feeling economic issues. Maybe shutdowns aren't the right answer their mayor, hug set seriously. You should follow science, but I must object to this idea of the use of the word gun violence. It's your ideology at play when you do that, and it's ugly a sin. This is not a conversation of guns. This is not a conversation of firearms. This is a conversation of who's pulling the trigger and why culturally, it happens and why it happens in certain areas and why it happens in certain areas over other areas and what you are not doing about it in terms of discussing it, honestly. I do not put forth that Mayor Joe Hogs that is responsible for what happened in this home. I don't know what happened in this home. There's gonna be an investigation on patient. I can wait. What I won't wait for is a plan to deal with violence in this city That does not involve the recognition that much of it is cultural. And we cannot be afraid of being called bigots or Racists or anything else in addressing it. It must simply be addressed. In the same way school shootings have to get addressed with why white kids involved are involved in school shootings. Why do they see that as the answer? Not everything that happens on the streets of Indianapolis involved somebody who is black. That would be crazy. But we can ask ourselves if there are cultural connections. And if so, are we at least addressing them? Like, for example, as V. Then what was the position that they used to have that hogs that got rid of they had a public safety director? That was it? That was hogs that got rid of that. He's his own public safety director. That's going great, sir. By the way, what happened to Troy Riggs, who then became the chief? Discussing the fact that you can arrest somebody You can build the case against somebody, but nobody will testify. That's cultural all. You don't testify. Because then you're a snitch. You rather let a guy shoot up your whole neighborhood and ruin the neighborhood. Then quote unquote be a snitch. I don't think you understand the code. That's not bro. Code that is not America. That's squeezed. What do you doing? So where does the mayor address these things loudly? Not under his breath. But as loudly as he says things like this. The city of Indianapolis. Was targeted Act. Depravity. That has become all too common. Well, now what? Now what? What conversations while you change, maybe tie the time is to bring in revenue. Charles Harrison. Maybe the Reverend Charles Harrison has to accept the fact that he has got to rethink his plan to be more aggressive on this addressing. Maybe if he had more voice within city government, he would be doing so. Maybe he needs to get louder all by himself. We're not gonna put up with this idea of gun violence. Just stop talking, Mayor, Hogg said. You sound like a crazy person. You're taking a very serious subject that we need you to address and you're completely mismanaging it because you won't be honest. The gun is not the issue. People killing other people over perceived slights or over other insanity. These people who will go in and kill an entire family. That's the issue. Well, Tony, they didn't have a gun. They wouldn't be dead. Is that what we're going to say? Well, you enjoy that kind of nonsense. I'll be over here with the normal people. I don't think mayor hogs and is responsible for something like this. I do think that Mayor Hawks that has shown that he is incapable of a leadership that goes deep. Maybe because he hasn't been able to do it on a shallow level. There's more violence that took place than just this last night or the other night. There's more than happened than just this. We're going to dig into all of it. Mayor Hog set. Has got to be called to account for his inability and the City County Council's inability to even begin to handle what's happened to the city. Maybe if they just paint another slogan on the streets. Everything from regular.

"You could drop the murder rate tremendously. Well, that that's that's true. And then I think the other concern, you know that we're hearing, particularly from long enforcement is this whole issue of catch and release and particularly violent felons, you know, instead of, uh, you know, remaining in in jail, they're put on home detention. Um, and many of them violate that and end up, you know, still being involved in criminal activity and have guns and knives and and 10 toe. He'll be the shooters are the suspects of down the crime, So we certainly have to look at that. And I know that's something that the F O. P and other law enforcement thinks that is contributing to the violence that they are arresting people. But they're right back on the streets, and they end up either committing a more serious crime or they're the victim of it. Something else. My friend. This was another with disturbing statistic from this Last year's murder rates is the number of African American victims. 73% of the murder victims were black, even though African Americans on the make up 30% of the population that number slightly down from last year, which was 75 year before last, 2019. Which was 75%. No folks would like to. Some folks like to hear the black on black crime rate and violence, saying that it shows that black the black murder rate is more dangerous than than the white folks. But the same time you cannot tell me that when 71 30% of your population is 75% of your murder victims, something is wrong here. Well, it is and you know have Dude, this is hard but conversation, you know for the black community because you know, many blacks feel like when we do have this conversation and talk about the black on black violence and and and I thought it was a little higher than 73%. But but, you know, they feel like that that you know we're being negative toward the community of fitting into stereotypes about African Americans, But we have to address this. Problem. It is a growing problem. Um, and as these numbers continue to rise, that means, you know, more and more African Americans are being killed. And then there's the suspects of this violence. So more end up in in prison. We gotta have this hard conversation in the black community about what's driving it. And what can we do? Um, toe Lord, these numbers? Um so that we're not having 73% of more. Of the homicide victims and shooting victims being African Americans have more Griffin Charles Harrison, the 10 point coalition, just a bit. "Got shot and killed. So I just want to keep that in mind. And second if I can be so bold There are a lot of people like me. Looking what happened, saying, Why weren't the Capitol police far more aggressive? Why didn't they defend the capital? But if you think that the answer is well, because the Racists wow. That's Enjoy being a Capitol police officer. Why didn't the eye MPD protect this city on Friday night and Saturday night of writing? Can I argue it some other kind of hate? Where were they ordered to stand down? Or were they unprepared? To bring this to a conversation that is racial. Used to say, Forget any idea of unity. And if you're a police officer, be on notice that no matter who you are. Where you are. If you're a cop, you are going down. Now there's one really great theory about what has people politically. The politicos very upset. This happened in their house. Right. This is their This is their shrine. To their power. When they destroyed a business in downtown Indianapolis and told those people to suck off and die. It didn't matter. But the capital. That's where they walk and people go. Hello, Congressman. Hello? Hello, Congresswoman. Senator. Oh, good to see you said Owe you look so great today. You've done such great things. Addition, Cleary I think there's some real validity to that. You know people have there. People have their gods where they have their gods. But it was wish TV. Um, who did got the quote from revenue? Charles Harrison. It's much different in the scenes you saw the summer when we have protests around the black lives matter how long enforcement treated those that was from the black community. That's I'm reading it exactly. As as the quote is. Hey, followed up by saying we're shocked and stunned by what we saw yesterday. But when you started watching how people were being treated, you could not help but to make the comparisons Um Shall I? Kevin Harrison over a cup of coffee discussed with you how the business owners of Indianapolis were treated. Shall we discuss how to dead Hoosiers were treated My point to you, sir. Is that Going down this road means well yeah, the the Capitol Police are are racist. That's obvious. You've been Not that guy. I don't think you should be that guy. You will not get me to disagree that Capitol police did a ZAY see it. I don't think they did their job. I don't understand how you could let this happen. I am absolutely stunned. This wasn't an armed militia. This is a guy dresses a freaking Viking. So, Yeah, I am happy. I am means easier. It's a pretty easy conversation to have honesty does that Let's say, Well, they didn't do anything because you know They all hate black people. Um That's its ugly when Joe Biden says it, and it's pure political posturing. It's ugly, and Kamila Harris says it and for someone who threw black single parents in jail And laughed about it. Uh, it's pretty ugly. Rev in Harrison. I don't think you want to be in that company. I think you could ask questions, but it sounds like you're saying That they're bigots and I don't know where that's going to get us. And certainly you would have no way of proving that one. Isn't it?
