"It's been a lot of fun, but yeah, that's a that's a little bit of my background right there. All right. Well, I appreciate that. So, so that leads me to the next part here since you just joined the beat for the Broncos this last year. Give me your perception. On what Has been holding this team back. What are some of the reasons why they've been struggling over the past several years as a guy kind of coming in with some fresh eyes? Well, I think it's obvious Yep. Start with the quarterback situation. You look it. Um, You know the guys they've had back there since, you know, painting any retired. Really? Um, and it's just been kind of a struggle. And, you know, obviously, they've been through. You know, several guys with Paxton Lynch and Brock Osweiler. And, um you know all those guys and you look at Drew walk obviously. Miss past season and his ups and downs, you know, and I know he showed some promise there at the end, but I think that's kind of where you have to start, But I think you also look at some of the different areas. I think that even go to the head coach. I think Vic Fangio has come in and done a decent job. But, um, you know, to losing seasons, they missed the playoffs both times. But he's been there. So this is a big, you know, third year that he's going into. Obviously they missed with Vance. Joseph. Um, you know, I think those have been a key issues its head coach and quarterback, But you can also even go down the line and I know you know we might get into this, but My nobody wants to talk about what they're gonna do it to lock. And if they're going to trade for a guy who drafted guy, but I mean, they have a lot of holes in other places. I mean, I think Justin Simmons has to be a priority. I think he is. You look at the cornerback situation. I think those are some big holes right there that they have to go get some words up there. Maybe through the draft, maybe through free agency. You know, you look at right tackle. I think that's an issue that they need to address this offseason. They never Juwan James is coming back next year. That's another position that I think they really need to look strongly added improving on the offensive line, you know, and then again, quarterback is another one that you have to point out and s. So I think there's a lot of different things that they need to get better. I didn't visit to Sean walked in, type player come in and fix all that. I don't know what kind of, you know maybe depends on what you have to give up. So, um, you know, I think that from my outsider's perspective, I guess is It's kind of where it started is, you know? Do you go on? Get that top level quarterback this offseason or do you wanna fix some of those other holes and maybe wait, I'll get him in 2022, maybe here to lock another shots to be the guy next year. Well, George welcome to lately to the to the Broncos beat and my uncle or a great uncle. I guess it was. Charles Albright was 40 year columnist for the Arkansas Democrat. Is that so? I know well, that paper's history and heritage um What has been the most interesting moment for you on the Broncos beat thus far. We'll have to be then playing without any quarterbacks..

"That little bit of a risk off field to the markets today, Let's get a sense of where the action is with the small cap stocks. We do that with Bloomberg stocks editor Dave Wilson David do with how long it's smaller companies being down, though not as much as larger ones. The Russell 2000 index lower by 2/10, or from sent In the S and P five hundred's down half a percent. The Russell steepest decline belongs to any ties. Medicine whose ticker is edit E D. Thank you. Well, it is a new week on Capitol Hill. But we in a moment, we'll start to see a vote on whether the president should removed from office by the 25th amendment. Let's get to Stephen Dennis Bloomberg Senate reporter to tell us exactly what's going on the Stephen watching me anticipating the next few minutes? Yes, so the House is convening for pro former session. We're gonna have some house members calling for unanimous consent to pass a 25th amendment resolution calling on the vice president. Remove the president. We're expecting that to be blocked by a Republican. We're also gonna have some impeachment resolution is resolutions introduced. Those could be voted on Wednesday or Thursday, and it looks like the Democrats already have the votes to pass that, so it's just sort of a Question really, of how many Republicans are going to ultimately climb on board that impeachment resolution, assuming that the vice president ultimately does not. Sign on board with 25th Amendment. So Stephen, the vice president has shown little to no interest in doing that 25th amendment, although we haven't necessarily heard from the vice president, what is it? Why has it taken the house and the Senate but particularly House? 45 days here to do anything. I mean, doing anything in Congress has to take a while you've got, you know, they call it hurting cats for a reason. The Democrats don't actually have a very large majority. So they have to, like, agree on wording and language and exactly how you're gonna do it on day, ultimately settle on this sort of three stage process where today there Sort of gonna have a unanimous consent request tomorrow they would have a roll call vote on this resolution. And then on Wednesday, you could vote on impeachment that basically Give them the opportunity to say that they tried other options before using impeachment, which is the ultimate last resort. They've also called on the president to resign. He obviously is not doing that He's going to Texas and Come on. I guess looking the border wall and other things and preparing another round of pardons. But basically this is something that it's snowballed as far as momentum in the Democratic caucus in the House. Nearly every House Democratic signed on. And there is a question whether this might actually get some Republicans system. How would they get around the difficulty for the next President? President Elect Biden on Yes, and the way the existing Senate rules stand this unless all senators agreed toe Come back early. The earliest you would be able to start a trial would be after a Knauer after Joe Biden takes the oath of office. You know, you wouldn't build to remove in that way. S so a lot of Democrats, including the number three House Democrats, Jim Clyburn said yesterday. But they might just hold on to the impeachment charges until Months from now on, Ben, send them over. You could still potentially have a try A And prevent Trump from running for office again. There might be some other impacts from that, like a pension and that sort of thing. But, you know, I think that that's sort of water under the bridge. I think there's a real question whether those whether whether Speaker Pelosi would ever send those over because The minute you do have a trial in the Senate that could take quite a while to hear evidence and that sort of thing. And that means you're not confirming judges. You're not confirming cabinet officials. You're not having hearings. You're not passing your signal. This legislation in the $2000 checks that they want to go out. There's all kinds of other urgent business that Biden wants to take care of. Stephen thank you so much for joining us. We appreciate getting your thoughts on what is a obviously a developing situation and will certainly stay on top of that. I'm sure will be speaking with Stephen in the future, and it's funny is, Stephen pointed out. A lot of moving parts here in a lot of different angles, and I think everybody in the both houses have to consider her before moving forward. Well, clearly, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has.
