"Restaurants, medical offices, car dealerships and they ranked very high among the top loan recipients. You've probably read that the information was recently released because people were clamouring. They were yelling at Mnuchin anytime he got close to Ah news person. They were screaming at him. What do you going to tell us who got the money? And they wouldn't wouldn't wouldn't wouldn't lawsuits were filed. Congress began investigations. And so last week, they finally released a list of people who received the money. They only received the only released about 13.5% of the people who released who received money and those were the people who received loans of more than $150,000. They haven't released the list of others. We're being told that there are people who only received a dollar I'm pretty sure that when you apply for one of these loans, you don't apply for a dollar. We've heard that there are a lot of people who receive less than $1000 I'm wondering how many employees were you able to keep on when you're when you're alone was on ly for $1000. There was a specific point in this and the point was to help Main Street. The point was tohave, not wealthy, connected people. Let's say more than 100 law firms received loans ranging from a 1,000,000 to $10 million. The list included. Well, loan names like Boys, Schiller Flexner. That's a high price law firm run by David Boies. David Boies is a very well known attorney they receive between five and $10 million. And when they were asked to comment on that their response was we don't comment on our financials. People who were connected there. A lot of people who say that in order for you to get the big bucks you had to be connected. It was more important for you to be connected than it was for you to be qualified. I mentioned yesterday that Jared Kushner's family reveal received money. Ah lot. Of money people who were connected to the president of the United States people who were connected to Congress people, including Mike Kelly, a Republican of Pennsylvania, including Nancy Pelosi's husband. Including. Um Vicky Hartzler. She's a Republican of Missouri and her husband, including and this is probably the one that irritates me. The most. Elaine Chao. Elaine Chao's family owns a shipping company. Yeah, she's also the transportation secretary. She's also married to Senate Majority Letter leader Mitch McConnell. She received no, she received at least $350,000. You know, this is this is kind of kooky here. ST Andrew's Episcopal School where Barron Trump goes to school they received alone. Also, there were in addition to the lobbyists who were well connected The businesses that were connected to politicians. You know who else received a whole lot of money? Catholic organizations, religious schools. Now That's one of the things I wanted to ask you was televangelists televangelist received. There were billions of dollars by the way there went to churches. In the United States of America. Is that, okay? On the one hand, I want to say that anybody who was keeping people employed. I'm not going to begrudge them receiving this money. On the other hand, there were plenty of people who needed this money and didn't get it. How many small businesses went belly up? How many small businesses who went belly up could've survived. If they had been given this money. People had some trouble when they were making applications for the money had to go through your bank banks. Apparently, we're favoring the people who were their biggest customers. Instead of really doing the due diligence and trying to make sure that the people who had the need the people whose businesses could have survived. Had they gotten their hands on this money. Banks, apparently, and I haven't researched this. Somebody sent me a message yesterday. I should have looked into it that the banks themselves received payment from the federal government for being the middleman for being the people who were processing the loans and distributing the funds, which didn't come out of their coffers. By the way it came from us. So what are your thoughts about this? Who should have administered it? I don't think it was administered through the small business administration and the secretary of the Treasury. He also he actually had a deputy who was doing the administration on his behalf. And that person's business received money as well. Should churches have gotten it because they did $1.4 billion to churches. They don't pay taxes. This is taxpayer money, They don't pay taxes. So should they have been beneficiaries of this who should be the ones who are watching out for the money? Should people connected to Congress, people who are connected to the administration be eligible for it. But should people whose companies are worth so much money? Massive amounts of money hundreds of millions of dollars. They've gotten this just kind of doesn't feel like they would be a small business. If there's a new bill, How would you tweak it? 80 88 10 is the telephone number 80808 10. Let's let's go first to the fellows. Let's talk with Tess. Tess is calling from San Francisco. Hey, test. Welcome to KGO. Hey, Tess. I spoke to you yesterday afternoon. And it's not true. I did not. I apply for the P Pio and I got it. And I'll be honest with you. I was shocked that I got it. I'm still working. I'm still employed. I'm the sole proprietor and I got this money Did I need it? Be honest with you. Enough. But it was a good back up because I'm in a temper metal industry so and I did not have to prove I was in dire need of this money, so there's no place of these applications. That make you make such a statement? Do you think you should have gotten the money? As I said. No. Why did you apply for it? I applied for it, because, as I said, I'm in a temper mental industry. My business has been kind. And I needed it for backup because I honestly did not know or do not know. How long since the whole coma thing is going to be affecting my business, and you were able to keep your employees working right? It's only me. Oh, it's just you. Okay? But there is a there is a place on the form the one that I saw on the ABC seven story there was a place that said that you commit to keeping your employees working..

"Six three zero nine six two five the house of representatives went on hiatus yesterday I think that minor surgery might correct that they'll be gone until September ninth now you might think that that's going to be a great relief for all of us unfortunately they left their friends in the news media behind him that's going to be a problem because you know how they are specially when their friends in the Democratic Party on Capitol Hill are around today it's a Friday it's July twenty six it's the two hundred and seventh day of the year of two thousand nineteen there one hundred fifty eight days life left in the year on July twenty six two thousand sixteen that's three years ago today Hillary Diane rod ham Clinton became the first woman to be nominated for president by a major political party at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia Pennsylvania member that that's where they forgot to bring the American flags but they were burning them outside setting themselves on fire burning American flags and they and they pick Hillary to be their candidate surge that she would go on to be the first woman who was carrot for a major political party to lose to Donald Trump and and today she woke up on our kitchen floor face down in a pool dried vomit next to an empty cardboard box of one gallon cheap New Zealand Chardonnay why Humm all winter was of course upstairs all disheveled on there with suspenders hanging from the and all this good stuff and bill was nowhere to be found answered a lever up still enjoys the moment he took to humiliate her public the horrible humiliation of Hillary Clinton actually the title of the book they should make a major motion picture about that the humiliation of Hillary it's kind of catchy is known to be a like a valley of the dolls thing and we opened with Hillary face down on the kitchen floor long after losing the election to Donald Trump the man that could never win guaranteed on election day to win handily easily and she lost and it all started today said on this day in two thousand sixteen so little round of applause big big brown pose for a little lady Hey when she became the nominee breaking sound effects bands playing videos and I I've got some great ideas I want to share with you of crazy corrupt news media and mental Joe this guy which one is mental jazz that Joe Biden is at today it's just cobra now there was a there is a big big story big story brought turns out Russia is meddling in our elections Santa and did you not know that because it's apparently come as a surprise to everybody in the news media a Senate report came out yesterday and it said that the Russians are metal hang hit her election and other been doing this since the nineteen thirties or something and the big Senate report says that their meddling in all fifty states fifty states and I saw John Berman today this other meddling in fifty states and then he said there are fifty states in the United States John Berman CNN anchor he did that's what he said because he knows his audience and he knows he has to explain some things to them so the center report says that all fifty states were targeted by Russian interference ahead of the two thousand sixteen election and Robert Muller said in his stellar performance on Capitol Hill the other day that the Russians are meddling right now they're meddling right now and and we're all surprised by that because we already knew that but but then we forget it and then we learn it all over again like you know what is that movie fifty first dates where every day is a clean slate with these people and and they forget everything that they learned before right now and have no memory of all the reports saying that the Russians continue about their lefties this is what they do is they they they murder people direct stuff and they still thinks that's that's the left and in case you missed the twentieth century it's all in there every chapter it's great now the mailing of course that they're all fifty states by Russian interference this is got the Democrats hysterical because they're constantly as start about something about the way Barack Obama and Joe Biden and James call me and John Brennan and James clapper and Loretta Lynch were in charge of securing our country and I guess they didn't do much of a job on that maybe they shall go to prison so the Democrats yesterday the house representatives of before running off on a six week vacation passed a phony baloney bill was seven hundred seventy five million dollars to beef up state election systems because you know the Associated Press found a state somewhere with Democrats and said that they're having to buy software to update their systems no they are and now the federal government has to intervene because Robert Moeller said something the other day that we already knew Anna and it's all love very very exciting now here is the the thing the media is insane and corrupt and criminal and they were really let down by Muller's testimony the other day they're very very angry that Muller let them down Joe Scarborough's extremely bitter that Muller let them down Donnie douche on and and as the NC he is very very upset by the way he's famous for the you know very very very young girls he's a rich guy in New York and death he's in the dating scene wink wink and it's sense right that the the you know the left is not bad with the left it's conservative Republicans the right in America in bed with the left in Moscow because that makes a lot of sense does that make sense and and so Mitch McConnell said well we're not gonna take up this phony built his the Republican leader of the Senate and turtle and and he said well we're not going to we're not gonna take up this bill because the trump administration is already taken a great many steps to shore up are the integrity and security of our election systems and then of course that control by the states because we have fifty six they were very upset about that on MSNBC that is not one federal election thing that can be more easily corrupted so they're pushing for that now too and Chuck Schumer is very upset he says it's a disgrace should be a wake up call big because you know they have that they're not throwing money at the problem and and that's and that's a crime a crime against our democracy and our Republic and by the way Robert Miller is a patriot and so is every Democrat that says that he's a patriot so let's go to some but never one because these people got really crazy this morning they got "I think none of these four are happy about it Bullock. Has been the most outspoken about how upset he is that he's not going to be there on the stage, but neither Bullock, nor Molton or Wayne mess him, nor Microsoft is going to be there. That said, it's the it's the first debate I don't think there's any reason to expect that any of the four of them is going to drop out of the race because they're not going to be there at the first debate. But we shall see we'll have we'll have more on that coming up a head. We also learned today from the White House that White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders is going to be leaving her position among other things. She will go down in history as the White House spokesperson who stopped doing White House press briefings. She just stopped those eventually kind of all I have to say about that, which I think is fair. Given you know. Over the last few days, we have been covering the snowballing corruption accusations against a Trump cabinet secretary named Elaine. Chao Elaine Chao is the wife of the top Republican in the Senate. Mitch McConnell, she's the head of the department of transportation over the last couple of weeks, Elaine Chao has been the subject of just a remarkable string of news reports about how efficiently the department of transportation has been turned to the apparent financial advantage and political advantage of Elaine Chao and her family since she has been at the helm of that, large public agency, politico dot com. Reporting that Elaine Chao set up a special staff, arrangement inside the transportation department where a senior staffer was assigned specifically to oversee requests for federally funded transportation projects from her husband. Requests, that would benefit his state specifically, and that his Senate office, specifically prioritized as the Senator is running for.

How's that? That's fabulous for still have any stubs. I'd be glad to put them in my family collection. They belong in the Smithsonian institute as far as I'm concerned. But I just thought you didn't get a kick out of that. I was about eighteen or nineteen years old at the time. So let's talk about this fabulous. It is. I have wonderful memories of your grandfather. And Sadie your grandma, you know, the name Sadie nowadays, if you find a CD and a baby's nursery that's worth a lot of money. They're rare. It's making a comeback. I I know several Sadi's Zillur under five years old everything comes back at some point in time. I will not yet. I'll keep my bell bottom jeans. In my closet. They they have a long way to go. You wrote journeys what a timely book to write? And I want to encourage people to pick it up because it is a vibrant book about vibrant, people had immigration, not been permitted in the into the United States of America people such as the great movers and shakers of our country would never have their accomplishments when you wrote this you had no idea what the immigration policies were going to evolve into have you did you we we started thinking about doing this book eighteen months ago, and we started collecting stories probably a year ago. So we had no idea that there would be a an immigration crisis. At this point in time I- timing could not have been better. We would prefer there not be a crisis. But what we wanna do is. We want to remind. People that unless your native American every one of us is an immigrant. Some of us did come over here in voluntarily, and we we do pay credence to the fact that came over slaves. On the other hand people came over here for a lot of different reasons. Did they come over league? Did they come over legally all of them? No. Not not all of them. We don't know how many came over legally or illegally because quite frankly, they didn't keep track of that until about one hundred years ago. But. The Italians years ago came over as I said without passports and. Legal and illegal immigration have been a part of the United States for two hundred and forty-one soon to be two hundred and forty two years when my grandparents came over from Russia Poland at dependent on which country was winning the war that day where a lot of eastern European Jewish people came from they arrived at Ellis Island. And we were given the name Goldberg, I guess my grandfather Couldn't Spell or pronounce his name properly. So Goldberg Greenberg Silverberg named Tisch. Was it a name that came over from Europe because tissue tells has become a monster of a success? Now, we my grandfather came over here is I ten skier and at Ellis Island. He became to ski because the clerk Couldn't Spell to ten skier. He went to CCN y fourteen years after arriving arrived here. Not speaking English. But fourteen years after arriving at C N Y he happened to be a particularly good basketball player and was captured of the basketball team at C C N Y in. Nineteen seventeen and nineteen eighteen and Tisch was his nickname. Isn't that something and their lo and behold there has been the success in your family? I want to just focus on the book for a moment. Andrew some of the names that you have mentioned, in fact on the cover our people like Michael Bloomberg who is perhaps thinking of running for president of the United States. I've had twice on this program. Elaine Chao, Elaine Chao was not from America. Her family came to the US on a cargo ship from. I think it was China or Vietnam. Well, they they actually came from Taiwan having left China when the communists came over. I took over. So the message you want to get across in highlighting these seventy two names. I would venture to say Andrew that you and Mary Scott fetus could've put seven hundred twenty names. In this book. What is the message? You wanna get across when people pick it up aside from the human interest element in view of the current situation. Politically, what's the message the message. We want. Pass on is that this country is a mosaic. It's made up of stones of many different shapes sizes colors and textures the grout is the glue that keeps the mosaic together. And that's the opportunity for freedom Justice and success and without the ground. The mosaic is nothing, but a pile of rocks and it'll crumble, but it will crumble it won't hold together. We are country of many different people. We're not a melting pot where we're not homogeneous by any stretch of the imagination. We are European. We are Asian. We are African we are South American. But together we have always managed to maximize and optimize what we're all about. There are such wonderful human interest stories in journeys in American story. And I really want to. Encourage people to pick it up because it is one that you really can't put down, and you can jump around from one chapter to the other because the chapters of small and each one is a human interest story while I have you Andrew in view of your expertise in the hotel business the business environment right now the continuation of this bowl, Mark. And let's hope it continues and this prosperity streak that has been replete amongst consumers being able to spend more money. What do you see or the hospitality industry and your opinion in terms of the strength of this economy? Well, I believe that we need to keep on moving forward and bringing it back a little bit to immigration, we have virtually full employment in this country right now. And if we try to expand any further without more employment, we're going to start to get an inflationary cycle. And that's going to be. Bad for the country. We need immigrants. We need an expanding workforce. We also need the expanding workforce to pay for the Ponzi schemes that we have in this country social security, Medicare and Medicaid because they're funded by current current payments into the system and as people live longer as their healthcare demands. It. There's going to be more and more money that's going to be necessary. Otherwise, these three. Entitlements are going to get into financial difficulty and ultimately go bankrupt. Eventually there's a day of reckoning is what you're saying. And as you continue to this deficit spending. That's going on you have to deal with it. And you never know when it's going to happen. But certainly as interest rates are starting to go higher. It does have an impact on the Federal Reserve needs to pay attention to it. I think that kind of summarizes where you're headed with that as near as I can tell we've got trillion dollar deficits until we as far as the I can see until we get our spending house under control and our federal state and local governments until the name Morris becomes fashionable again. Hopefully before that well, again, Andrew Tisch, and Mary Scott fetus wrote this wonderful book. It's called journeys an American story. It includes seventy two essays about immigration and American greatness. Thanks for your appearance here on money matters. Andrew my best. Thank you very much. Thanks. Very welcome. See you heard me say in this short interview with Andrew Tisch how I was a waiter at laurel in the pines in Lakewood, New Jersey, the messages, we all have our stories. We all have our basis for success or lack of success, but we all have stories and when you make the right turn instead of the left turn, hopefully, you have made the correct turn. And the people who are highlighted in these seventy two essays have certainly made the correct turns for their lives. I hope you have as well. I have been fortunate enough to do. So I've tried to give that guidance to our five children, I hope to give it to my six young. Grandchildren. But this country is replete with opportunities. This is Gary Goldberg moneymatters. We'll be back right after these messages. You're listening to money matters would Gary Goldberg, it's no secret income matters, especially retirement income can come from many sources, we had Gary Goldberg financial services like and prefer high-quality dividend paying stocks not for everything not all the time. But if you're looking for income, especially in retirement, look at the companies that have a history of raising their dividends. "Gary and Shannon, KFI AM six forty. Remember this story out of Frederick, Colorado. The dad who killed his wife, pregnant, wife and two little girls. We've got an update on the story. Mistress is talking. Now, we kind of saw that one coming. She's shedding some light on their relationship. And some scary things that he would do to her. Talk about that coming up at the bottom of the hour. Well, Paul Ryan now is talking about that op Ed yesterday. Dodging questions about Bob Woodward's book. Now being asked about the insider who is rolling on the president and his behavior. Paul Ryan says whoever wrote that anonymous op, Ed. Is living in dishonesty and should not work for the president. Ryan said today understands Trump's tweeting an unconventional tactics Bader bother people. But that Trump is producing good results. There is a there's a weird. Conundrum, I suppose the whoever wrote this finds themself and we talked about this yesterday when it came out in the one o'clock hour when we saw that the the person wrote this this anonymous op Ed piece said that the at talked about cabinet level discussion about whether or not they should invoke the twenty fifth amendment which would allow them to declare the president competent and make Mike Pence the acting president, and but they said they didn't want to precipitate a constitutional crisis. This doesn't rise to the level. This op Ed piece in this this now revelation that there is somebody in the White House that his usurping the president's authority on whatever issues, they think they're they're going to fix him on, but it is at least pointing in the direction of a constitutional crisis because our government does not allow us to elect a president. You may not like them doesn't matter. He's the president. And then have other people. Change his policy. Exactly people who are not elected. Right. We've got people. If you're going to believe what this what this op Ed piece lays out, we've got people who none of us elected running running things. Yeah. At the very least not allowing the the person we did elect, right? But you know, what I think Washington works like this you watch the west wing you watch house of cards. You you talk to people who've worked on the hill. And you know, that it's often not the lawmakers that are pulling the strings strings as the people behind the scenes, it's the lobbyists. It's the staffers. Yeah. You know? So I I don't I don't know if this is that different from other administrations I've been trying to figure out I mean, just running down the list of I went through the cabinet members last night and thought who is a likely person to have written this. Well, you and everybody else in the country. Orosa actually took to Twitter about this trying to pin her book Ecorse, the former reality star, she was a White House aide for a time. And she claimed yesterday's that. She knew who authored the peace, and she was offering clues to her followers on social media saying I give clues to who from inside Forty-five. Whitehouse wrote the op Ed on page three thirty of unhinged. Hashtag silent. Army? That's a great sales tactic on her part. Yes. Genius. Now bookies have been placing odds on who this might be. Oh, and I think the biggest one let's see biggest favourite one to three is the field. Someone not listed among the eighteen administration. Officials two to three odds of winning better would invest a buck prophets sixty six cents. So they're saying that Mike Pence was the number one choice because my favorite Mike Pence. I everyone kind of started to pick out the way that this person writes, the tone the words that this person was using and everyone seized on the odd word choice of lodestar. He used the word lodestar when he was talking about John McCain, of course, it means inspiration model or guide, and it turns out that Pence has used that term multiple times over the years in speeches. And just general remarks. Here's the thing. We've and again, I don't know how much we can trust the denials that we've been seeing from people because if someone went through the process of contacting the New York Times through an intermediary intermediary, sending you know, sculpting, sending this op Ed piece, you would expect that they would also come out with a denial. If they're willing to go through that much trouble to get the message to the New York Times. It's clear to me that they would also lie about their involvement. But but the odds like we said, Mike Pence, Mike Pence's people have already come out and said Mike Pence has no reason to hide behind an op Ed piece, you would definitely put his name on it. What about attorney general Jeff Sessions? He's all again already come out denied the fact that he had written it if he hasn't specifically said that then his office said that I don't think it's going to be any of those guys. I think it's going to be an assistant like, okay, John DiStefano. He's an assistant to the president that name has surfaced a Bill Stepien White House political director, a Nick Ayers chief of staff to vice President Mike Pence. He's who my money is on the other one Andrew Bromberg another assistant to the president. I feel like it's a second love. Yeah. I think it's the guy behind one of the big guys. See I go where I think you're going down the stiffen down the wrong trail in that one. First of all, it's a woman. Kirstin Nielsen Nikki Haley in Elaine, shower, my top three soon as I read that yesterday interest. Nikki Haley has come out and denied it. Here's to Nielsen homeland security secretary has been contentious relationships with. I mean, there have been some some back and forth between she and the president. But do you know, Elaine Chao, Elaine Chao has been in the cabinet, or at least cabinet level for several for two presidents now, and she's married to Mitch McConnell. The Senate majority leader who has a very contentious relationship with President Trump, Elaine Chao, I just don't see the. The transportation department running things, but if somebody who's again, I'm not saying eatings this person who wrote this doesn't say, I'm the head of the resistance that person says I'm a member of the steady state, and there's a group of us, and we're doing what we can to keep this president in check. That's my guess. I don't think she's funny. I don't think she is Republican enough. I I read that. And that is a man that wrote that I am going to dial Rican bookie site and see if I can get some money on that. Yep. Will we ever know? Will we ever know? Yes. We will. I think we will definitely do you think we'll know by the end of the weekend really do and that person will be out of a job instantaneously, but they'll have a great book to write as well. Which is also another thing the movie chances north chances are the book's been written. There's a manuscript out there. Where to be shopped soon as that person gets fired they're going to go. Listen, I I just added zero to my pre pre pre-sales my money is on somebody who is not a member of the cabinet not a member of the staff, but a guy behind the guy because if. If you've got to say that you're the adults in the room. And you've got to put it out there. Like that. I see that. I see what you're you're. So you're you're more profiling now, you're looking into the so you think it would be a name. We wouldn't immediately recognize okay. Just a quick list of the people who have denied that. They wrote it. Mike Pence secretary state Pompeo director of national intelligence, Dan Coats, Kirstin Nielsen homeland security secretary, Ben Carson James Mattis Defense Secretary, Steve Mnuchin Treasury Secretary Jeff Sessions, attorney general Ryan Zinke interior secretary. Nikki Haley embassador FTC chair. Joe Simon's Owen beat Mick Mulvaney, and FCC chairman GI all have denied that. They wrote that my money is on Nick Ayers. He's young. He's self-important. He's on that rising under forty in Washington list. Interesting wants to have more gravitas. He's been Mike Pence's guy. He uses a Mike Pence word of weight, the New York Times did it. Admit that they did edit parson portions of it to clean up some of it. So they may have put in the word lodestar. The New York Times would add it that's bad journalism. I agree with that. But also, I think an anonymous op Ed is bad journalism. It's just a sales tax how much are we betting on this? I don't know how much. And bucks. That's a lot. That's what I have my wallet. Can I bet the field? I got I got two fives. You're like Joe schmo from Cleveland. I think he wrote it. The field. Coming up next an update on Chris watts. The murderer the family murderer out of Colorado. They hear how he treated his mistress. Gary and Shannon will continue. Julie Slater has an update on the news democratic Senator from New Jersey has released documents labeled confidential about supreme court nominee wreck cavenaugh in them. "Success dot com now we my grandfather came over here is ira ten skier and at ellis island he became home to shinned ski because the clerk couldn't spell to ten skier he went to ccn y fourteen years after arriving arrived here not speaking english but fourteen years after arriving at ccn y happened to be a particularly good basketball player was captured of the basketball team at c c n y in nineteen seventeen nineteen eighteen and tisch was his nickname isn't that something in their lo and behold there has been the success in your family i want to just focus on the book for a moment andrew some of the names that you have mentioned in fact on the cover people like michael bloomberg who is perhaps thinking of running for president of the united states i've had twice on this program elaine chao elaine chao was not from america her family came to the us on a cargo ship from i i think it was china or vietnam well they they actually came from taiwan having left china when the communists came over took over so the message you want to get across in highlighting these seventy two names and i would venture to say andrew that you and mary scott fetus could've put seven hundred twenty names this book what is the message you wanna get across when people pick it up aside from the human interest element in view of the current situation politically what's the message the message we want to pass on is that this country is a mosaic it's made up of stones of many different shapes sizes colors and textures the grout is the glue that keeps the mosaic together and that's the opportunity for freedom justice and success and without the ground the mosaic is nothing but a pile of rocks crumble but it will crumble it won't hold together we are a country of many different people we're not a melting pot where we're not homogeneous by any stretch of the imagination we are european we are asian we are african we are south american but together we have always managed to maximize and optimize what we're all about there are such wonderful human interest stories in journeys in american story and i really want to courage people to pick it up because it is one that you really can't put down and you can jump around from one chapter to the other because the chapters of small and each one is a human interest story while i have you andrew in view of your expertise in the hotel business the business environment right now the continuation of this bowl mark and let's hope it continues and this prosperity streak that has been replete amongst consumers being able to spend more money what do you see or the hospitality industry and your opinion in terms of the strength of this economy well i believe that we need to keep on moving forward and bringing it back a little bit to immigration we have virtually full employment in this country right now and if we try to expand any further without more employment we're going to start to get an inflationary cycle and that's going to be bad for the country we need immigrants we need an expanding workforce we also need the expanding workforce to pay for the ponzi schemes that we have in this country social security medicare and medicaid because they're funded by current current payments into the system and as people live longer as their healthcare demands it there's going to be more and more money that's going to be necessary otherwise these three entitlements are going to get into financial difficulty and ultimately go bankrupt eventually there's a day of reckoning is what you're saying and as you continue to add to this deficit spending that's going on you have to deal with it and you never know when it's going to happen but certainly as interest rates are starting to go higher it does have an impact on the federal reserve needs to pay attention to it i think that kind of summarizes where you're headed with that as near as i can tell we've got trillion dollar deficits until we as far as the i can see until we get our spending house under control and federal state and local governments until the.
