"And we talked about all this stuff, but it wasn't that moment. If you weren't a patriots or raiders fan, you probably weren't sitting on the couch and collectively watching that with everyone. Now, a moment that I think was big and tell me, pearl, you're a Philadelphia sports fan. I feel like that Bryce Harper home run was massive, and I'm not even a baseball fan. But everyone, what it's a scenario town, but everyone was freaking out about that. Yeah, it's great. Yeah, a Grand Slam to win a playoff game. I mean, gigantic. I had that on my list too. By the way, one thing Peter about, you showed a play today of the New Orleans Saints running back, a lateral. There was incredible on good morning football. I couldn't believe it. I don't remember 2003. I think we be the social media. Everything that happens now gets blown up out of proportion. Like, there have been plays like this that just now feel bigger because of Twitter, I think. Yeah, the only thing I would say was Jaguar saints and it was a pass from Aaron Brooks, the Dante stallworth who went back another played a Michael Lewis who then lateraled it to draw and python who then gave it to two smokehouse there were then no matter what the score. And then they missed the extra point to send it to overtime. It's one of the craziest games ever, but happened in 2003 with the New Orleans Saints and we'd forget about it. I don't know if this one has the lasting power that we might think it does today. Good point, I agree with you. I would say this too. You can probably make the argument that the end of the bills Vikings game. Was wilder than the Raiders patriots with the fumbled snap at the goal line. You also have the whole Paul Allen thing of it. And you had to catch with Jefferson in the middle of that game. That to me is one of the games for a regular season game. Obviously, you know, postseason's a whole different story. But that for regular season probably the best game of the regular season. Probably. The thing about the Chandler Jones Jacoby Myers thing I kind of wish Chandler Jones didn't pick it off 'cause I wanted to see what Mac Jones would do at that point. He's like all by himself on his own 30. If he catches that ball, what the fuck is gonna happen? Yeah. What is gonna happen? Oh my God. I thought he might run it in, because he got that like 40 30. I was actually live, but it was crazy. I know. I would just say that the real lasting thing, why it's got a little special taste to it, is because it happened with the Patriots head coach on those sidelines. Like, that's the last thing you expect. And yet, the Miami miracle, this miracle. That's two plays in 5 years that are just inexplicable losses at the final seconds. I had a buddy of mine, Matt dollinger, who I used to work with these now at the ringer. He asked, he's a big colts fan, and he had asked me, Meyers play eclipse the all time famous cults fake punt. Yeah. The dumbest play in NFL history, and I said, I think it's in apples and oranges thing because the colts thing was like a design play call, whereas the patriot thing was on an individual player. So it's a hard comparison. I said, I think the

"And Cardinals guys scoops it up and runs it back 70 yards for a touchdown. That was kind of what this might have been, had that lateral not pin collected by Jacoby Myers. And then it's like, oh, okay, we're lateraling. We're doing that now. I guess I better find someone else to lateral to. And Chandler Jones is on the ground. He's a big guy. I don't think you caught me Myers necessarily missed him. He was just he had gone down on the play. And he also got hit as he threw. Yes. And then Chandler Jones stands up and, you know, I'm sure you all saw the rest at this point. But the biggest problem is there's no reward for whatever's gonna happen. Essentially what you're gonna end up with is Matt Jones with the ball, 20 yards further back, and now what's he gonna do with it? 'cause there's no more four pass. I mean, is he gonna escape and land? There was just yeah, there was no reward. There was only risk and then you just needed Mac Jones to haul down 270 yard to excuse me 270 pound Chandler Jones. You make a good point though, so it's like, do you ever see the Netflix documentary about Woodstock 99? went to Woodstock 99. So what? Yeah. To see bush? I don't think they played there. Yes, they did. They played after. Oh, did they? Corn. That was like a seminal moment in the documentary because corn was on the first night and they riled the whole crowd up and then Gavin, whatever his name is, had to come on and they sent them on to calm everybody down before bed the first night because the place was like the place was corn tore the roof off the place. Oh man. Do you remember this? I remember seeing radius machine I remember seeing 7 dust on a smaller stage and I remember just sort of wandering around being really thirsty and hot and uncomfortable for three days. You would you would come away from this just talking about 7 dust. That was anyway. So we played a good set. It's an underrated band. So there was the end with the candles, right? The end of Woodstock 99. They had the candles. And so Red Hot Chili Peppers play fire. They were supposed to be a vigil. And so one guy takes the candle and starts lighting the infrastructure on fire and then so somebody sees it and then another person starts doing it. And then another person starts doing it. Sometimes there's just this thing in our brains that instinctively starts doing what the other people are doing. And so I think you make a really good point in that dumps the ball off to Jacoby Myers and he's sitting there probably just like, did I miss something in the hud? I guess we're laterally, I guess, I guess this is what we're doing. And because if you just imagine how hard it would be in your mind to think like, no, I'm not doing this. And then just run out of bounce, right? Because somebody has given you the lateral. Someone said like tag your it. You're playing tag now.

Highlights of Sunday's action in the NFL's Week 15

"Week 15, NFL roundup. I'm Ben Thomas, Sunday's action saw two more overtime games, but neither qualifies as the wildest finish of the weekend. That was in Las Vegas, with the Raiders beat the Patriots. Ryan lyong explains how. The Raiders scored on a crazy play as time expired to beat the Patriots 30 to 24 with three seconds remaining in the fourth quarter and the game tied the Patriots tried to extend a 23 yard run by ramonda Stevenson, but a second lateral by Jacoby Myers was fumbled and recovered by the Raiders Chandler Jones who ran it back 48 yards for the game winning touchdown. At first I was thinking who's around me. And I felt myself stumbled a little bit after the stiff arm. And that was thinking, who do I pitch it to that? I was just trying to, you know, keep the ball alive. It's when I stayed up, I just turned the jets on and the rest was history. Derek Carr was 20 of 38 for 231 yards and three touchdowns. The Bengals Buccaneers game in Tampa matched two division leaders led by two marquee quarterbacks, Tom Brady and Joe burrow. Early on, this was dominated by Brady and the bucks who jumped out to a 17 and nothing lead, but as Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd said, his team didn't panic and capitalized on four Tampa turnovers. When we create them, turn those, we got to go get them touchdowns, and not three. So I think the turning point was the offense rallying off the defense and making those turnovers into touchdowns. Boyd caught one of Joe burrow's four touchdown passes as the Bengals scored 34 consecutive points, cruising to a 34 23 win. Eric waddell, Tampa. Now one of the games that went to OT, Denny cap. The Jaguars overcome a 17 point second half deficit to stun the cowboys 40 34 and overtime. Jags quarterback Trevor Lawrence through three of his four touchdowns in the second half, hitting receivers a Jones on three of those four scores. I think it says a lot about this team, how much we trust one another. Widely Patterson sent the game to overtime on a 48 yard field goal as time expired, that set up rayshawn Jenkins for the game winning pick 6 of dak Prescott as Jacksonville improved a 6 and 8 on the season, Noah Brown caught a pair of touchdowns for the cowboys who saw four game winning streaks now and fell to ten and four. I'm Denny cap. The cowboys have clinched a playoff spot, but there are lots of winning the NFC east have gotten longer with the eagles surviving a trip to a frigid soldier field in Chicago. I really couldn't feel my hands. Equals quarterback, Jalen hurts. Didn't really have good vision on the field. In some, I never play anything that cold. Still, final score eagles 25 bears 20. The other two teams in the NFC east still have a shot at a wild card. Craig heist has the outcome of the Giants trip to Washington. Rookie pass rusher kayvon thibodeau had a strip sack of Taylor heinicke and a recovery for a touchdown while saquon Barkley rushed for a touchdown in 87 yards as the Giants beat the commanders 20 to 12. Barkley and the Giants are inching closer to the playoffs. Big win for us and, you know, playing meaningful games here in December, you know, is where you want to be. Heineken through for a touchdown pass, but was also sacked three times. The Giants improved to 8 5 and one while the commanders fall to 7.6 in one. Craig heist land over Maryland. The lines and jets are both now 7 and 7, but one of them is feeling a lot better about it than the other, Mike mancuso was at this one. The Lions continued their playoff push with the 20 to 17 win over the jets, trailing 17 to 13 with one 49 remaining on a fourth and one Jared Goff hit tight end, Brock Wright, who rumbled 51 yards for the go ahead TD. I know we had it, knew the cutback would be there, and I just thought, run as fast as I can, getting that into. Jets quarterback, Zach Wilson, who threw for 317 yards, got the jets set up for a field goal of one second remaining, but Greg sirloin missed from 58 yards. Other finals, the chiefs survived a trip to Houston beating the Texans 30 to 24 in overtime. The Chargers topped the Titans 1714, the Steelers put a 24 16 pounding on the Panthers, the saints so with the falcons 21 18, while the wolf will Broncos be the spiraling Cardinals 24 15. Monday night the Los Angeles Rams play the packers and what should be a rather frigid Lambeau Field and possible snow. I'm Ben Thomas, AP sports

"Blitzed, his big time throw rate approaches 9%. He's looking to gas you when you send pressure. That's the one element here. Maybe Chandler Jones steps up because right now max Crosby is the only guy that's getting pressure. He's the only guy getting natural pressure Crosby's responsible for 35% of the team's pressure. That's something to look for. Maybe Chandler Jones shows up. I know he's a little bit older, but he got paid big bucks. Maybe he becomes that complimentary edge rusher. We thought the Raiders were getting when they signed him. The other area where the Raiders defense has struggled to defend is the middle of the field. And specifically slot receivers. The Raiders are giving up more than 11 yards per target slot receivers and more than an 87% catch right now. It's tough to kind of figure out Andy Reid and who he's putting there because he's just so multiple. You're looking at juju. He runs 47% of his routes from the slot. Kelsey runs 42% of his routes and you think about MVS being this out wide, deep threat guy, but he's ran 41% of his routes from the slot. So it's hard to pinpoint which one of those guys are going to dominate. But on paper, whoever is lined up in the slot on a specific drop back is probably the first read from mahomes. So I don't know if you can clean that up defensively for the Raiders. Their safeties and linebackers are really more of the thumper variety in my mind. And they're going to have to be a little bit better against the past tonight. And so I think that's an area of the field where Kansas City probably find some good success throwing it. A scary part for the chiefs is that even if juju isn't a 100%, I know he's been dealing with an aging injury this week in practice. We started to get glimpses last week of what sky more can be to this offense. And we talked about it all the time. The rich get richer and Patrick Mahomes to his credit has been true to his word that he said before the season started going, hey look, we're going to be even tougher to defend this year because you're not going to know which direction we're going in when you're taking what the defense gives you and it's a very Tom Brady like mentality there and we've seen it on full display thus far that there's no need or desire to shoe on the ball in a tyreek hill or even Travis Kelce. Get the ball to the open receiver, let them make plays and go about your business that way. Should be a very interesting football game to try and see. You mentioned having seen some over money below the key there. Have you seen anything in terms of the side? I know out here in the desert, it's pretty much been painted 7, but it was interesting going back and forth with a couple books yesterday who would normally get buried under an avalanche of raiders money. They said that hasn't quite been the case this week. So even the hometown faithful that love the silver and black may be turning on the local boys when they go up against Andy Reid under the bright lights. I don't know what transpires once casual betters get out of work at 5 o'clock and they start betting this game. My guess is they're obviously going to be on the chiefs, but is that going to be enough to impact things and push this to? 7 and a half. We'll ultimately see, but I Cris this morning went to 7 and a half and as soon as it got there immediate by point from the sharp guy. So ultimately I think that becomes the buy point from professional betters on the Raiders at plus 7 and a half. I don't know if I'm going to personally get there. But that seems to be the number that's triggering the buy from pro betters. Yeah, it's interesting. I mean, as I look at the board now and I try and see a couple of shops out here that cater to somewhat local customers. You know, one of them at 7 and a half, if you want to take the 7 and a half, you have to pay a dollar 20 to do so, a prominent national book, 7 and a half, you can lay a dollar 15. So I'm very curious to see where this price will close to your point as things start to get a little bit more frenetic with the rush hour rush to the betting window. This may be the time of the show where we offer up an announcement to our listeners that they're not going to be too thrilled with us. So I have to take that responsibility, correct? Yeah, I don't know what you're talking about. Well, but go for it. No shows. As far as you can. Well, they'll let you say that. You're doing that again. There's going to be a show with Brad will be doing the college football show this week. So obviously you want all of our listeners to tune in. Stay green will be with analyst Chris wormy. He'll be available there, but you and I will not be a part of the college football of the NFL coverage or NASCAR this week, and we won't be a part of the Monday show next week is we kind of get a de facto bio week as we'll take our show on the road. Yes, very first time since the inception of this podcast in 2014 that we're taking a week off in season. So just wanted to give the listeners a heads up on all of that, but obviously, as always, the content will remain there for the most part. So tune in to all the shows, it'll just have a slightly different sound to a Brad has been absolutely white hot. With his college stuff. So look forward to that. I know Chris is looking forward to not having me steal his spotlight on the NASCAR side. And we'll be right back here a week from Wednesday, you and I breaking down some of the biggest games on the slate. So want to just give the listeners a heads up. So they're not taken by surprise as you guys are extended family. And that's why we have so much fun doing these shows each and every week. Any other final words of wisdom parting shots, things you would like to share with our listeners. No, we've managed to take a Monday podcast longer than an hour. So, well, yeah, good the bad and the ugly. It kept us busy for about 35 to 40 minutes. So sometimes that's how it works. Best of a luck, all of you guys with any Monday Night Football investments on the Raiders and chiefs tune in Wednesday for the marquee matches with college football with Brad powers. Like we said, stay green will go live on Fridays. We talk about another playoff elimination race on the NASCAR side. And we'll be right back here with you a week from Wednesday as we get back into the swing of things.

"What does that look like? So it's seeing the game the same way. And so as a right tackle, in this case, because it's easier for me to put in those terms. Yes. I'm working with your terms. I'm working with the right guard the most often. And so if there's a play that the right card is supposed to be working with the center, and I'm supposed to be blocking the defensive end on my own, all of a sudden, a linebacker or safety walks down, maybe it's right at the snap, and maybe we're in Pittsburgh or maybe we're in obviously on an LAD silent count. But maybe we're somewhere, we can't communicate it. You don't have enough time, you both want to be seeing that at the same time and understanding, okay, we're going to react the same way. The safety is going to blitz off the edge. The defensive end is going to go inside. So as a right tackle, if I'm assuming, hey, my guard sees it the same way. I can just go block the safety. He'll have the defensive end. But the guard's not seeing it that way, and he hangs on his block with the center, and that's where there's trouble. Now the defensive end splits us, and now we look really awful, because it looks like we don't know what we're doing. And that's just not seeing the game the same way. That's not reacting the same way. So how does one see the game the same way? How do you do that? I mean, you're all individuals, you know? I guess we're getting to the nitty Gritty of line play here, but that is what we're talking about. So many teens, the cowboys as well, tyron Smith out Tyler Smith in. And then in the middle of the game, one of their linemen goes out just like Brian Allen with the rams and how do you get this handled as the season begins to potentially slip away, you know? It's practice time and that's where a lot of the former players are saying offensive line play is slipping because of reduced practice time because you don't have those opportunities to see more blitzes and practice more interesting scenarios and practice. And so now that the season has started, everyone is basically practicing the same amount. It's really critical that you're talking to each other and even if it's a play that you mess up on scout team and the coaches are really frustrated with you. But maybe in the huddle like, hey, I thought you were supposed to be here and now three plays later, you're still in the same huddle and it happens again and you fix it immediately. You don't need to go to the sidelines. You don't need to walk through it. You don't need to rep it physically, but that constant communication where you guys are trying to talk it through. And then there's also an element of maybe watching film together, hey, what are you looking at on this one? What am I looking at? Because as we've gone into the iPads and the surface tablets and being able to watch film wherever we want, whenever we want, offensive lines, we used to stay at the facility and watch film together after practice on Wednesday, Thursday whenever else. Well, now guys go home and they watch on their own time. And so you're not seeing things as collaboratively as you used to. And that's where the older guy in the group needs to really take the onus upon himself and say, hey, you know, we're going to stay after for 30 minutes. We're going to watch blitz together. Let's just talk things through. Let's make sure we're on the same page. So it's doing things together. It's talking through and hopefully you've got a good offense line coach, you can facilitate a few more minutes left here with Mitchell Schwartz champion offensive lineman recent retiree from the Kansas City Chiefs here on the rich eisen show. I have a couple of favors to ask of you. First one is I chose because I liked devonte Adams edition and Chandler Jones edition, and I just thought, you know, 6 years in a row for the chiefs, you know, I'm gonna zig while everyone zagging or what have you. I chose the Raiders to win the division. And Eric Stonestreet is livid with me. He'll start still send me some heart emojis and stuff like that. But I think deep down he is hurt. And upset with me, can you let him know that everything's fine or just either just be a go between? Because I'm assuming you're still in constant contact with him. Yeah, I can be your enemy intermediary. Maybe send some brisket or something. He doesn't need me to do that. But that would be helpful. I think so. Is he still texting you in the middle of the night about brisket and stuff like that? Does he still do that? About chiefs, obviously. Did you bring any brisket Mitch by chance? I didn't bring any brisket. He's in town for wedding. Assuming it traveled well, it probably wouldn't have made it to the studio.

"Quickly pour one out for chase winovich, I don't think anybody's actually surprised that the Patriots moved on here from Chase winovich, but if you could point to one thing about the chase winovich experience, Alex, why didn't it work? Because the first two seasons in the NFL he has 11 sacks. He's a pretty productive player, especially as a rookie. It seemed like he was going to be a part of the solution moving forward on defense and the next wave of front 7 defenders for New England. Then he plays that game against Baltimore. I'll never forget that one where he's playing inside linebacker and he's actually looks like a pretty good player there as well. He can play football. There's no doubt about it that chase winovich is an NFL player, but it didn't work here. What's the biggest reason why in your mind? By the way, I think the con picture just came out. Discipline, discipline. Not like off the field stuff, like rush discipline. They want somebody who's going to set the edge who's not going to allow the quarterback to break contain unless you're Matthew judon or Chandler Jones, and you have elite elite makeup speed. And yes, makeup speed is the thing for pass rushers, not just corners. Unless you have elite makeup speed is pass rusher, they would rather you be disciplined, push the pocket, not a lot of the quarterback get outside and be able to defend against the run if that's needed. You know, we've heard it said before. They view an incomplete pass and a sack is equal, right? Right. As long as it's not a positive play, it doesn't need to be a negative place. The quarterback throws the ball away. They lose the down. They don't gain any yards to move on. So I just don't think that was one of which is game. I think maybe they thought, you know, they saw the pass rush potential and it's there. And I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being a decent player in Cleveland or wherever he ends up long term. 'cause some teams are built, some teams like their pass rushers to do that more and some teams are built better to handle that..

"I think he was in the right spot moving over to three technique there in Cincinnati. I'll take him on my team, same thing with DJ Jones and same thing on the nose with my guy, university of Connecticut's own folu, fatu kasi. Yeah, fatu kasi, baby. Yeah, DJ Jones beast. I think he really came on to. Like, I think there's still some ascent there. Like that's probably my buy. One of your highest ceiling. Guys there at that position. But man, you know, just looking at this list is crazy how much Cincinnati's gonna have to replace up front. To kind of reinvigorate Trey hendrickson and Hubbard and everything they got going on there. But you know, there's some guys here. You could make it work. I think you know, if you were like, if you're the Chargers, for example, like there's some stuff here, you could pick from to kind of make your make your deal happen, you know? And Sheldon Richardson is always going to be like hyper athletic and dutifully fill a space. So I don't know. I think there's some stuff to like there. Just go get fatu kasi, you'll eat some blocks for you. He'll make everyone on your line better. Go get them, Brandon staley. Big husky. The edge guys, lots of and look, we talk about the free agent class. These guys hit free agency for a reason. There's no perfect dudes out there. Everyone has some Maya red flags. Most of these edge guys, it's age at this point. Chandler Jones von Miller, let's see, Harold Landry is off the board at this point. To deviant Clowney. Clowney, Jerry Hughes. Jerry yuzu never misses time, but probably is ready for something of a reduced role. But these guys, they're older, but they age well and we've talked about it a lot in the last couple of weeks. We're going to keep on talking about it. These edge rushers are going to have a ton of value in a league that's going to be blitzing less. Yeah..

"Now I know why my team went and drafted somebody at the position the year before and went ahead and got out. I was going to give you a locker room. I'll take both. I'll take both. For the locker room story, I'll tell you one color is a rookie. He always tried to change the music in the locker room. And he always had important what should be played and what should not be played. So in Kyle's locker is not far from mine. So I told Kyler, I said, once you have your first rushing touchdown, So I forget which game it was, but he finally scored and I told him right after he scored. We're actually going to the end zone he came back to the sideline. And I said, hey, Kyler, now you can change the music kind of smile at me. And he went back to the bench. I like that. Yeah, yeah. So now he can change the music in the locker room now since he had his first rushing touchdown on the field as far as why we got him. It's pretty self spoken. And even now, being on the deep defender, I mean, I don't think I've seen anyone tackle him open field. I think he's undefeated in another field tackle. So that's pretty fun to watch. Yeah, it has to be, right? I mean, it has to be from your position, and you're also maybe even a little bit feel for your defensive colleagues in the NFL, having to deal with that. If I'm happy, I don't have to go after him. That's for sure. So now, do you think you're putting together a Hall of Fame resume? Chandler Johnson. What do you think? I think I leave the for everyone to discuss. Honestly, and I know it sounds cliche to say, but honestly, I just try to do my job. I'm going out there and playing football. This is a fun year. We have a special team. I mean, our roster looks insane. I even look at it when I go to work every day. I say, you know, I never would have thought we would have these players. This many stars on one team and I know this opportunity is very rare. So my biggest thing is honestly just capitalizing every single day. Because we all know this rust was not going to be the same next year. So with that being said, I think this opportunity that we have, it's huge. I mean, the coaches that we have, the players that we have, I mean, it looks like a man. It looks like a video game roster around as lead JJ watt. You guys big green Kyler Murray, Deandre Hopkins. I mean, it looks unfair. And we've been playing like that besides the last two..

Okay, what about you, Chandler and this defense and being as good as you have been, what do you attribute all of that? I think that just comes from experience play, honestly. Just years of years of seeing things seeing schemes seeing how teams want to attack this style defense and knowing what weaknesses often has. And that just comes from experience. So that is great for my success. What's the toughest offense you face this year then? So far. This year, I want to say the toughest offense was probably the green new packers. And the only reason why is because they did a good job of getting on the football..

"Those guys are one of the best pass rushers that anybody can talk about in the nfl so everybody loves talk about the offense especially at the quarterback position but pass rush is. I would argue just as important or just up there as well at quarterback play. 'cause everybody wants to talk about the quarterback play on offense. But you know what on defense if you can get to the passer. If you can get to the quarterback you're going to be able to win games you just are. It's simple as that. Football's not hard. Football is not hard. It's on the offense. It's basketball on crash and it is pitch and catch you know you have numbers on one side but on the defense on the defense is. Can you get to the quarterback. 'cause if you're going to be able to get to the quarterback you're going to be able to be successful in this league and you know what chandler jones is a guy who can get to the quarterback and he's a man who's going to get paid a sap and he needs to get paid because he's the one of the best in the league out rushing the passer in arizona will need to have all the help they can get. Though because the nfc west is now in my terms in my mind the nfc best the nfc west show outlasted slide sunday if see west one four no sunday winning in dominant fashion in a majority of their contests. We just talk about the cards going into tennessee. Any tough road environment across the country playing a ten o'clock game which their body clock is just not used to on the west coast and handling business and that that team was slotted to probably be the fourth place team in the nfc west. 'cause just look at seattle. They took care of business as well against a good indianapolis colts team which first of all i'd expect carson wentz to play though he would. I thought it would be out eight to twelve weeks with a broken bone in foot. And apparently he's a super mutant. Apparently these athletes are basically just mutating. And they're just recovering from a broken bone and he had a nice day to against seattle..

"Chandler Jones, Arizona Cardinals, five sacks and two forced fumbles and he was A bully. Ryan Tannehill was already sacked three times by him in the first quarter alone of the Cardinals, Big win against the Titans and in the NFC West. You better bring it and bring it hard every week because that is one heck of a division competitive. From top to bottom. So you hear the call there on the Cardinals radio network. Yes, Dave Pash right on the Cardinals Radio network. I'm still remembering all the voices, but I do love the NFL play by play and your choice. Well, my choice. It's just the choice. Chandler Jones of the Cardinals for Defensive Player of the Week 855 to 1 to 4 to 27. That's our toll free line. What's your top takeaway from week number one, and we're also going to let you hear are candidates for touchdown of the week before we get to the top of the hour, so make sure you stay tuned for those are coming. The in mere moments. On Twitter, a law radio or on Facebook. You can vote for your TV of the week and will unveil that on the hump show. By the way. We forgot last week. I forgot last week and I did not communicate with producer James. I won't blame it on him. But we forgot that we were going to restore Your favorite feature My favorite feature. We're going to restore asking me anything on her home show last week in honor of the start of football season and then I completely forgot because there's so much happening, and so we didn't get to it. But it is the return of asking me anything on our hump show Come Tuesday night into Wednesday. We do it in the middle our of the work week and so you will. You will have the opportunity to ask those burning questions that you've been hanging onto now for a few months. We just had a lot going on this summer. We knew we were going to be making a change at producer also changing bosses and try to transition and get ready for football season. And so that's why we tabled it for a little bit, but we're excited to bring it back. It's the longest running feature on the show stretching all the way back to when I was your weekend host on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Man that feels like a really long time ago. And yet in some ways it feels like yesterday, coming up on Saturday because it's not too early to start making plans for the weekend. 3:30 P.m. Eastern. That's 12 30 Pacific. The SEC on CBS features a marquee matchup in the Swamp Chomp Chomp Number one Alabama takes on 13th ranked Florida We get you said for kickoff starting an hour earlier. 2 30 Eastern 11:30 A.m. Pacific. It's the Mercedes Benz Drive to it later, and we'll catch you up on all the action. From around college football. There were five rain teams that lost in week two. It's the state form college football today. That sounds weird. It's state Farm College football today. That's what happens when you add an extra part is simple. It's all coming up on Saturday on CBS. Okay, so maybe just maybe. Now the adrenaline is wearing off a little bit. It's after hours here on CBS Sports radio, some of the other storylines from sports Even as I'm sifting through your top takeaways from week one, I'll get back to those here. Uh, the the return of Clayton Kershaw after a 60 day stint on the I R l D l I can't remember. You also had the Dodgers winning in his return, though he did not get the win, but he did pitch into the fifth inning 50 pitches, That's all. He was allowed and gave up. Just one run early on, the Dodgers provided run support. Also in baseball in the N L West. The Giants clinched the first postseason berth of any team in Major League baseball. They are the first and they really have to set the pace all season long 94 winds Now They've got an eight game win streak going, and so they have been really difficult for any team to catch even the Dodgers, who were tied with them briefly going back a couple weekends ago. The Giants are the first team into the playoffs and now will attempt to lock up that NL West and avoid the wild card, which this point You look at it. Of course, the Dodgers are running away with the top NL wildcard, so it's not set in stone. But for all intents and purposes, unless something completely crazy happens like Monday night football, you're going to end up seeing the Dodgers hosting that wild card game. Right now, It's Cincinnati who has moved in front of San Diego and ST Louis and the Phillies and Mets crazy enough. Are still in the mix. But, yeah, crazy to think that the Reds have been flying under the radar, but they've now moved in front of San Diego. I used the word crazy a lot. But that's really how you describe sports these days, and we're just two weeks away 2.5 weeks away from going into the busiest month of the year in sports, October It is. It's all in all the time. There's no breaks in October, Alright, we promised an opportunity to hear what we believe are the top touchdowns of week one in the NFL. This was a great debate. We had to narrow it down. It wasn't easy, but we want you to choose the top touchdown TD of the week. Points. It's a touchdown Tuesday on.

"At home by the Cardinals. Chandler Jones, Your buddy Lu Wan. Went on about how we got shown up by Chandler Jones, who had five secs pretty good number. Yeah, It's pretty good numbers and the one tweeted something about like I'll get better or whatever that was. But what about that game like Tennessee is one of the teams we're talking about here. You know, And not? Not only do they get blown out, I mean, just flat blown out at home by Arizona, not a terrible team or anything but still Something out that uniform he makes you think you should win when you're playing against them, Right? What have I ever seen this team in the playoffs or anything so Not only do they get blown out like that, but They couldn't run it with Henry, and then they get so far behind. You Feel like well, it's a J. Brown, Julio Jones, Ryan Tannehill. They're going to throw it. They're going to pile up stats. They couldn't do any of that. Those guys those guys didn't even get targets in this game. Julio Jones had three catches. For 29 yards. Maybe Brown scored. At least that was it, Henry. Nothing. What happened to them after Tell me I have both brown and then we all you do. I say I'm still winning. Still 80%. Yeah, right. I think gave his life but from what? I saw Henry getting bottled up and stopped right away every time and when they can't establish him like You would think they could go to their past game, but a lot of their past success. The last two years has been play action. So if you're on games, not working, can you spread it out? And can you just start? You know, throwing the ball when people know you're going to throw the football and still be as efficient doing it? Yeah, it shouldn't matter. But I don't know if the answer to that is, yes, like can that passing game stand on its own if it needs to Maybe not. There's a team playing the night that that's going to be asked of as well. Well, that's why I was like hesitant ID. I don't like any team that division but I have not like Tennessee because I don't trust them. If Derrick Henry is not working And that could blow up at any second to me. Turns out the bet was Houston. Oh, along the back to win. That division was Houston. Houston like I colts didn't look good, either. I got to Jacksonville at 6 to 1. I got to that, like I don't like Tennessee at all. And I don't like whence at all. That's also Jacksonville's the play because Houston is just impossible that can't happen. But one thing about Houston. I mean, we know Taylor has he has his moments. I mean, he has good for him. Good for him good for him, and there were some great place that he made in that game. It's not a bunch of rookies. In fact, it's none. The Texans The Texans. So this is the worst the purported worst team in the league and like rebuilding and everything there to go get their quarterback next year. All that a team like that. I don't know. What's Detroit like you would think there'd be rookies all over the place, maybe, or a few aren't any. In their starting lineup, either side of the ball none. The first pick was Davis Mills. In this past draft. Yeah, but you know, if you're if you're that team and winning is really not in the equation this year, you're evaluating guys. Well, there are value ating the likes of David Johnson. And brain and cooks like there's Tyrod Taylor. There's nothing. There's no need to be evaluating those players. But the rolling them out there and the other side of that coin is they can play a little bit. You know, like a team like that. Isn't necessarily so bad. A team with So, like Minshew, I like Minshew, and I think he can play too so bad example. But somebody where you're just like, Let's just take a look at this guy. Bulldog. Let's just take a look at it because what else are we doing here? And that's not really the Texans. The Texans are a team of veterans. And they mean Mark Ingram had 28 carries maybe yesterday. Come on. Why? But they won in Iraqi one. Yeah. What do you shut up? They won. Why would you I'd be I'd be. I think I'd be mad if that were our team. Like, really. I don't know what I mean. You're mentioning the guys We know in the skill like I don't know what the lines are like, are there you know, no rookies doesn't mean I don't have first or second year, guys who are They go. I'm still trying to find out about But I don't. I don't know what the rest of it looks like. But, you know? No, You're right. I mean, you're not. You're definitely not, um, you know, seeing what you've got, as far as the skill positions go if you're giving the ball to Mark Ingram 28 times. Yeah. You're doing nothing. You're accomplishing nothing except maybe winning games. You're going to regret winning. I don't know. Good for Tyrod. He had a great day. It really did. And Jacksonville Joe was right. Joe is right there like 2 15 time to fire Urban Meyer. What a disaster. They're they're giving Carlos Hyde carries who's like, Never been good. Over Robinson, who was great. They can't You know, Bulldog. This is Fred Jackson. You can't These teams cannot stop trying to replace good players without the don't have draft status, right? And there was every every measurable every film expert everybody was impressed with James Robinson. So what is Urban Meyer walking into draft ctn? Brings in Carlos Side loses ET and so what? Carlos Hyde out carried Robinson in this game, which just I mean, are they tanking? One for one for what, Like they're not tanking. He's not around for that. He's not here for that Coach is not gonna He's the worst. He thinks. That's optimal. Like, yeah, that's not gonna work. Just They are plus six at home against Denver. Next. Look at that. How? But I did not see that Denver is a six from Draftkings six point favorite on the road next week. What are they? They're the team that played the Giants so they were automatic wind. Maybe Bridgewater was good, though. I heard people say that I didn't see it. 80305 50 Buffalo Bills. Football Monday continues next much open the bulldog W G R It's all bills all day. "And here's another thing with the vikings twelve penalties for one hundred sixteen yards. And then there's arizona and i really feel. This was the most impressive team of week one. Arizona goes on the road and beat tennessee. And i mean crushes them thirty eight to thirteen all thirty eight of their points in the first three quarters. Kyle murray twenty one of thirty two. For two eighty nine four touchdown passes one pick was sacked twice five carries for twenty thousand additional touchdown. Those a career highs touchdown passes for him for and total touchdowns. Five de'andre hopkins best wide. Receiver the nfl. Can't you can't be debated office. Position six catches for eighty three yards touchdowns. "That's not funny. Dan Patrick Hope you had a great weekend. We're off to a grace. Great start here. Our two on this Monday Dan in the den. It's Dan Patrick show more phone calls Best and words to the weekend. Whole question has to do with the most disappointing loss bills. Packers TITANS FALCONS Vikings To me It's a 22 horse race or two racehorse or to horse racing. It's uh, bills and the Packers. I guess I mean the bills lost at home to the Steelers. Packers got embarrassed on the road at a neutral site against the ST The Packers are going to win this because of how embarrassing they played The bills playing a playoff caliber team in Pittsburgh. Man. The hype is so big around Buffalo. I don't know. If you look at any of these losses and go, you know what that is really concerning. That's going to continue the Titans getting blown out at home against the Cardinals. That was surprising to me. Now, maybe I've overrated the Titans, but I do like them a lot. Packers losing not surprised how they lost very surprised. The bills losing at home. I'm not. I'm not shocked by then. But sometimes it's how you lose that that stands out. You know, the Cleveland Browns. They had that game. They should have won that game. But then you have just a couple of mistakes there. A botched punt the Patriots. They had that game you got new is hold on to the football. You're in field goal range. You're going to win this. But we're going to look back and you know these teams that are ate and ate and you know you need to go nine and eight to make the playoffs and you're going to look back to some of these games early in the season. We tend to add more emphasis later in the season. We forget about games like this. Where you go. Oh, that's right. They lost that game to that team in week two. But what we saw with the Packers given all the drama in the off season this was supposed to be here is you know Aaron Rodgers again? Yeah, he's motivated. The motivational tour did not get off to a good start. The Titans got embarrassed the Falcons. How they lost to the Eagles, but we don't have high hopes for the Falcons Vikings losing to the Bengals. I'm not surprised at that, Um, don't know if there's any other teams in their McLovin. You know the Texans beating the Jags the way they beat them. Um, why do we switch the most surprising winds on positive sense? Okay, But is it the Texans? Yeah, but it might be the same thing that the Saints blew out the Packers or that the Steelers beat Buffalo and Buffalo. I think the Texans might give everybody a run in this poll. Yeah. Paula Cardinals handling the Titans. Titans usually are in every game. That's a I don't know what the line is, but I'm guessing the Titans were favored. Have. Yeah, they have to be. Yeah. Yeah, but the Cardinals handled them. I know that I know. And and Chandler Jones had five sacks. I think he forced a couple of fumbles in there as well. I mean, that's just Dominating of a performance as we've seen in a long time, and this guy was not happy with this contract, and I didn't think he wanted to stay in Arizona. He has over 100. He's got 102 sacks in 125 career regular season games. Chandler Jones has 102 sacks. 35 in his first four seasons in New England, Now 66 5 years. In Arizona. Well, that's a lot. And five yesterday. He forced two fumbles. They had three sacks in the first quarter. Yes, he did You see Taylor? Lewan. Thank thanks for exposing me. I need to be better. Yeah. Five sack day. He posted that. Hey, I'm glad I got my butt kicked, and it'll just motivate me. Oh, uh, yeah. Shouldn't even prepared for Chandler Jones a week ago. I mean, it's not like this guy snuck up on anybody challenges pretty good ballplayer. You just said it. That's why when Matt Lafleur said, Hey, they were more motivated than us. What if I'm Taylor Lewan? I don't post that because There's a lot of people out there who probably didn't see the Titans Cardinals game and now you're like, Oh, yeah. Look at that. Yes, the climate Chandler Jones like Hall of Fame. I don't know I don't I don't know It's It's tricky when we look at these sack numbers now, Now you're adding an extra game. Uh The proliferation of passing in the NFL more opportunities to get sacked. Imagine if you got 15 to 18 sacks when the quarterback was throwing about 15 times a game. And you had players who had Hall of Fame careers. But now you're throwing 50 times and again. Just you know the opportunity of of sacks to pass attempts. It's pretty incredible with some of these players, but Chandler Jones like if you get to 1 25 I don't know what the number is anymore. But I always thought if you got to 100 that you're probably going to be a Hall of Famer, I don't think Chandler Jones, the Hall of Famer, but you're going to get up to numbers that people can't ignore. What you did. Yeah, I'm a club, but he never gets any attention. Shadow his brother John Jones. Mm. We never talked with we had him on. Uh um, I don't know. Todd. We had Chairman Jones on them on once, but definitely maybe. Maybe one time we had his brother on. Yeah, he had a great start with the Patriots. But then he gotten some off field trouble, And then the Patriots decided to move on from him. I don't want to rehash it because it was not convicted of anything but He's got, uh, He's got five seasons with 11, plus sex and he's gonna I'm sure he's gonna cruise.

"When we did our our binaries about how many teams could win the Super Bowl, and I only had four and one of them. Was the Tennessee Titans, and they found themselves down 24 to 6 at the half. After giving up two touchdowns to DeAndre Hopkins, who you also heard their D hop gets a five yard and a 17 yard or from Kyler. Murray. Murray runs one in And the running game for the Tennessee Titans. Never really got going. 17 carries 58 yards, Chandler Jones at five sacks. It's something That is some real domination right there and a just a terrible job. Terrible job by the Tennessee Titans offensive line. All of them where I because I don't know exactly where Chandler Jones lined up. But when you allow one guy to have five sacks, that is a real problem. And that's something that you've got to get fixed and that you've got to get fixed pretty quick. When I got to say, uh, that was alarming to me that the Tennessee Titans had that begin issue and had that bad a problem. Trying to protect their quarterback from just one guy in Chandler Jones. So I know I've gone through all the games. All the results and your week one takeaways at 855 to 1 to four CBS 855 to 1 to 4 to 27. And as usual lots of injuries in week one. And it is the it's really the one thing the these teams, you know, they try to manage the best they can. But you can't predict who's going to get hurt. You can't predict who's going to get rolled up on or, you know guys who are already playing with dings to begin with. Who end up going out there and maybe just making an injury or making something worse. And then you have Jerry Judy, the Broncos wide receiver who was carted off the field with a high ankle sprain. Now, according to Tom Paul Sarah of NFL Network, the X rays were negative. This is in the third quarter as Judy was being tackled from behind. And the weight of a Giants defender crashed down on his lower leg. Which is want to happen A lot of times you You kind of see that with offensive lineman where running back or a blocker or somebody Will end up falling on the back of their legs and sort of compromising their knees. That's why you see offensive lineman especially in games in in practice, Maybe they some It used to be that you warm and practice and you warm and games. Some guys, I think now wear them in practice. Maybe don't wear them in games, but wide receivers. You're never going to wear a knee brace, but you see those old lineman They tried to protect themselves and protect their knees. Somebody rolling up on you because you can't protect yourself. That's the problem. And that's a part of the issue with the Judy injury looks like the Washington football team might Have lost their starting quarterback in Ryan Fitzpatrick. Peter Schwartz mentioned in the update the bottom of the hour. That fits is believed to have suffered a hip subluxation. He'll have an MRI tomorrow to determine if that is the case and how much damage was there. That's according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL network. Uh, if it if it is a serious injury, basically, they're saying it is a serious injury. But the hope was that nothing was broken. And I know they're going to be a lot of people because Ron Rivera as the head coach of the Washington Redskins, they're going to be a lot of people who will automatically jump to conclusions. That if the Washington and I keep saying Redskins, I'm sorry football team. If football team needs a quarterback because of the connection of their coach to free agent QB Cam Newton. Might Cam Newton be a possibility? For the W F T. Who might just be up a creek if Ryan Fitzpatrick is out for a long period of time. Mentioned that a injury got Raheem Mostert into the line up with a bunch of carries. He left with a knee injury. Coach Kyle Shanahan also said that he fears corner Jason Verrett tore his A C L Shanahan added that signing Richard Sherman could be a possibility. And we know that Richard Sherman recently had some issues that Hopefully are cleared up and won't sort of slow down his return to the NFL. The Jets lost their tackle McKay Beckton to a knee injury in the third quarter. He didn't return. He was helped to the sideline before being carted in the locker room. And that is not good and M C L sprain would not be good for someone of that size. McKay Beckton is a walking refrigerator. The guy is an absolutely massive human being. And that's a big blow to the left side of that of that Jets offensive line. The tight end for the Green Bay Packers decided to Gara. He got ruled out with a concussion of the corner for the Detroit lines. Jeff Oh, Cuda was ruled out with a foot They fear that he has suffered an Achilles injury. Of course, we know that he was a high draft pick of Matt Patricia. When Patricia was running the Detroit Lions into the ground, some would say Rashaad Penny left the Seahawks game early notice this one in the Patriots game big trend. Brown exit in the first quarter and did not return hit a knee injury. I think he got rolled up on I know one point there was just kind of like an announcement from the from the team doing the broadcast, which was Kevin Harlan and Trent Green. And Kevin Harlan just mentioned that the backup just in Harran was in there, and that Trent Brown was out. And it was like, Oh, okay. And The Patriots offensive line had a Metz Um Metz kind of day in dealing with the Miami defensive front. Bradley Chubb, the outside linebacker for the Broncos was inactive. Um Let's see here. Linebacker for the Dolphins. Raekwon Davis was.

"At Colts. All right. Colts had put up another touchdown and another one for Zach Paschal. So it's an 11 yard TD from Carson wins a nice short up the middle passed from Carson wins to Zach Paschal. And so now the score is 28 to 16. The Seahawks are still on top as we are approaching the two minute warning and it looks like the Colts are going to go for it. They're going to go for two and they are not going to get it. And so that two point attempt no Bueno. So 28 to 16 remains as we approach the two minute warning right now. Seahawks on top of the Indianapolis Colts we mentioned in earlier worth saying again. The Arizona Cardinals 38 to 13 right now against the Tennessee Titans about 12 minutes to go in the fourth quarter in that one in Chandler Jones. Now has five sacks on the day J. It is a day for Arizona is day for Arizona. This is the biggest statement you could argue maybe Pittsburgh if they hold on here, which they have a chance to in Buffalo. But how convincing the wind is, you have to say the biggest statement would be the Arizona Cardinals, and you'd say the best performance has to be either Kyler Murray or Chandler Jones. This is a team that had A lot of question marks coming into today without inconsistent they were a year ago. People. Question of Cliff Kingsbury is the guy to run this franchise. I'm telling you Talk about silencing critics Week one. The Arizona Cardinals are doing that handsome and no doubt about that. Alright games are coming down to the wire, and unfortunately, we're not going to be able to stay here to deliver you The very final scores. Prime time is going to do that next field Yates. I can see him in the room across me. He's going to give you all of the final scores. We approaching the two minute warning across the board here and Buffalo, knocking on the door for Pittsburgh. They just called a time out there down by seven. Right now In the fourth quarter, J. It has been So much fun hanging out here week one of me going home with you? Yeah, we're going home. We're going home to watch the end of the Bangles game and hopefully watch my bears take care of business tonight against the ramp. It's been fun week. One will be back for weeks to same place. "At Texas Phillip Lindsay, a five yard rush for the Texans, and J. The Texans are on top of the Jags 34 to 7. The Jags are bad. I have nothing else to say. They are not good right now. Not even a little bit. But what do you expect, and I said it to Jack's. We're going to win this game. They have to establish the run game. How the Jags been doing with the Russian attack. It's been abysmal, so they haven't been to get anything going there. Uh, clearly it's not just gonna be an adjustment period for a quarterback and other pieces, not just Trevor Lawrence in the gang. It's clearly going to be an adjustment from college, where he was dominant coach Urban Meyer but adjusting to this league because all these reports and we don't know if they can all be substantiated, But there's clearly a disconnect between the players there in urban Meyer. And if it shows itself on the field weekend week out like this, it's gonna be a problem. It's week one. The Jags are not expected to make a lot of noise so you can throw this one away. But then you look Touche. I'm gonna look in the next week. Get better when we three week for etcetera, etcetera. And if you don't see that growth and things do start to spiral out of control, I don't know how long are my will be for the job? But I'm not having that conversation and I'm not judging the trajectory of the Jags franchise off of week one in this match. Okay, fair enough. Meanwhile, in Tennessee, the Cardinals are putting on a clinic on both sides of the ball. Now. Chandler Jones has four sacks on the day that ties his career high. He did it twice in 2019. He also has a recovered fumble as well. Kyler Murray has got 43 touchdowns. It looks like one interception, but nonetheless three touchdowns so far on the day passing. That is. He also has a rushing touchdown. So mark that is four touchdowns. For Kyler Murray so far on the day and the Arizona Cardinals defense is holding Derrick Henry. Well, now he has 47 rushing yards. But if you told me that the Cardinals were going to be up in the late in the third quarter, 31 of 13 and Derrick Henry would have no touchdowns and only 47 rushing yards. I would have told you you're drunk. Did you mention Chandler Jones has now or sex? Yes, or sex or sex on the day? Uh, Kyler Murray, Here we go. 19 of 3200 and 69. Passing yards and again three passing touchdowns. One rushing touchdown. If you put him as your fantasy quarterback today, you're probably winning so far in your match. If you can continue playing like this, if you got in early on M v p as Kyler Murray Hey, look at least three quarters through the first week of the season. You got to feel like you found some value there because those numbers are gonna skyrocket those odds for a guy like that because He is having himself a day and I love to see it because everybody knew Kyler. Murray could be a star in this league, and everybody was befuddled last year when it got away from him and those Arizona Cardinals, But they're in position now where they look like completely different team. Whole lot of weapons. That defense looks a lot better. Cliff Kingsbury looks like he's got a handle on things. Watch out for those boys down in AZ that ties Kyla Murray's career high and passing yardage as well. They're having a day in Tennessee. Meanwhile, let's see what's going on in our state's capital charges.

Derrick Henry Kyler Murray Trevor Lawrence Kyler Chandler Jones Kyla Murray Cliff Kingsbury 2019 Murray Cardinals 31 Arizona Cardinals 19 43 touchdowns 69 Tennessee J. Urban Meyer Jack 34

"An underachieving. Loaded come our win. A super bowl was that did not make not make the playoffs the year before they won the super bowl as a wildcard team. Speaking of wild card. Let's go out to the wild nfc west. We'll tell you who will win the visit next on speak for your sale. The nfc west seems to be wide. Open this season. The rams have to go without running back camakers russell wilson and pete carroll or playing nice and seattle. Jimmy g. will try to keep trae lance on the bench and in arizona defensive end chandler. Jones requested a tray so joy. I have to ask who will win. Ultra competitive and of seacrest. It's the hawks. I like the seahawks this season. A lots of the situation that they are going into training camp. I like how they handled the early offseason drama with russell wilson and the front office and pete carroll like the moves that they made this off season and unlike because them because all of those things you just mentioned about the other teams and this is very competitive division. No san francisco is not going to have all the injuries that they had. Last year was ridiculous. But you can't trust me. He's to be healthy for an entire season. And there's another game this season so you really feel like you're gonna have jimmy g. the entire season i don't need nothing in. His career has pointed to that and there backup is now a rookie. Who hasn't played football in two years. Now i like trillions as the future of the organization. But we're talking about this ear- if he has to get out there. It could be troublesome for them because he's not been on the field in two years matt stafford. I think is an upgrade for the rams but they just lost camakers maddie stafford is coming into a new organization and a new system so that could be rusty. They've lost a lot of pieces there. And when i really do like the cardinals and kyle murray and i think they're not getting enough attention for what they did last year. Losing a lot of really close games. I think they'll be better this year. Still a lot of questions there is. Is that the right coach for that team. And you mentioned chandler jones. They did make additions. But arizona's still feels like they're a year away. I think the seahawks are in the most stable place coming into the season. They have a super bowl winning coach. Dave superwomen quarterback russell wilson lots. I think that the seahawks are in the best position to win this very difficult division super bowl winning beef to you know what i mean and whether we want to act like that it's just not what happened is off-season a dead. You can't act like it. Didn't happen. Joy taylor the all this. It's not solve by. I don't know but it's just not. I don't think we're done hearing about it because it's going to rare it's ugly face at some point during this season you know why because russ got his way and if russ has to cook again not only am i not putting them at the number one spot to win the division. I put them out the number three spot. I do teams that are going to be ahead of them. It's going to be the rams that win it. And it's gonna be the san francisco forty niners that come in a close second. It's going to be two team rates. Here's well mattel you the forty niners will bounce back and people are looking at iran's as being a wounded team that can't get it done without having a potent running attack you lose to. You're running back. Know how you're going to fill that spot that's overstated. If you understand this game you'll also understand that you can get a formidable running back to be able to do what they need to do. In a mike shanahan running zone system zone read system. You look at the history of my santa han. He had thousand yard rushers by the droves. Not because they were. Don't running backs every single time. But because this game worked in favor for that downhill read running gang. Yeah they need to replace a lion at the at the centers position. I've heard all the critics and critiques of what this team can be and what it can't be. They are the best structure team. And you're going to see why matthew stafford has been spoken about and such glowing terms during the course of his career. Of course you're going to struggle in detroit. Ask anybody all right at. This is one of those situations where we just talk last segment about tom. Brady let tom brady end up in detroit. Where are we at right now. Talking about tom. Brady matthew stafford has an amazing opportunity to create a reprieve for his career. And i think he does that. You got guys like cooper cup you got woods. You got weapons on this team and not to mention you have the ability to lean on your defense and so does this forty niners team but in terms of coaching. I'm going with mcveigh over shanahan. And the forty niners just for the simple fact that i don't trust the garoppolo scenario. Not because i don't like garoppolo. Because i don't think i like the way that he's been abused in the media and they've allowed it to happen is offseason with him and shanahan being a part of it. That by default takes out of the running for being the team. That's going to win it. And the same thing exists with the seattle seahawks and the little brother arizona cardinals. They'll be good. They'll be competitive but when it comes to it. They're not going to be able to do it. I'm just trying to figure out where the lavar in the in the first hour the lavar who said that there's no ceiling for the seattle seahawks went and was replaced by this guy. Now who finds everything wrong with the ceiling because of off these russell russell wilson. Pk or. i'm just trying to figure out how to wrestling. When russ to his seal said that has to know his could win this. You said they could win the super bowl breath sailor in the division. So i'm a little bit confused. What the answer. Both of you is the forty niners because the only thing that held them back last year worthy injuries without injuries. They're considered the best team in a very tough division. And i'm not buying that. The is gonna be some sort of quarterback controversy. Joe you make a fair point about an extra game in the health of garoppolo. But that's why they have trae lance there and it's clear the kyle shanahan has a ton of confidence that he's going to be able to get the job done. Maybe not out of week one week two. They just need jimmy to to stay healthy for a little bit to get acclimated to what they need to do but ultimately forty niners when. They have quarterback controversies when they have quarterback competition. That's generally when they go to super bowl. Steve on alex smith. So i've saying the harbingers there. All right if i have money i'm going to put it on a seattle at plus two seventy five and not on jimmy garoppolo staying healthy for. I think that's a better bet coming up seem. Usa's trying to get in the win. Column will tell you if they can do it and still win the goals film. Usa lost their olympic opener against france snapping in twenty five game winning streak. They'll try to bounce back tonight against iran so rick. How confident are you that team. Usa still wins the gold. I am confident. I wouldn't say barry confidence. But i am confident for the whole list that i gave you the laundry list of things that go wrong for team. Usa to lose against france. I don't expect that laundry list to happen again. Katie shoot better lillard to take care of the ball and bam out of bio will make supremely confident joy. Supremely embarrassment sometimes is the best motivation. They'll they'll be fi- and i feel bad for iran because they gonna have to feel the Embarrassment get back. yeah. I am a soft confidence. I'm gonna remain hopeful because we have the most talented team. I do agree with you. Lavar the embarrassment back. The pride factor will kick in and. I do think that they will still win the goals. Do this will change things for team. Usa moving forward. That's it for us. We'll see tomorrow's big figures fell..
