"I thanks so much for that update, Charlie pellett. Meta shares down 11.65% as we speak. Share tumbling as revenue forecast. They're really not in look. The call hasn't started yet, so we'll wait and see what happens then. The company expects to lose more money on the metaverse bet next year. We got still with us, James chalk mock partner and technology analyst at clockwise capital, joining us via Zoom from Miami, so if you're watching our quick take or YouTube, you can see him right there. Hey James, Zuckerberg continues to highlight the near term challenges when it comes to revenue, but as you mentioned in our previous interview, you guys do have a small position in meta platforms. What is the opportunity that this company has to actually pivot and own the metaverse, especially when a company like Apple, which we're going to talk about in just a second. We know is working on augmented reality. Right. I think it's important for investors to separate the cyclical versus the secular. Obviously, all these big tech companies are facing huge cyclical pressures as uncertainty over broader economy looms and ad dollars. You know, as a discretionary spend, it's typically the first to go. And you're seeing that evident in the results. But on the secular side, dollars will continue to move digitally. No matter what, whether it's ads or the cloud based services. So the secular is still very much intact. So you want to buy companies that are secularly advantaged. Depressed. With respect to the metaverse, we're not fully sold on the grand vision. You look like you're living in the metaverse right now. Isn't that the metaverse behind? No, I'm just kidding. Her been in radio. But he's got a Miami back there. Miami skyline. My name is skyline. Yeah. You know, we're not fully sold on the grand vision. Yet, you know, maybe ten, 15 years down the road, maybe, but as far as the productivity based tools that can be implemented in the workplace and workplace collaboration and alternative communication methods. There are more tangible applications of the metaverse. That can be applied. More near term. We didn't buy a small position in the stock based off of that. That was truly an optionality. It was more around how low estimates go. And the anniversary of the Apple privacy change is going to be a boost from easier comparisons as we look into 2023. So that was the calculator. It's clearly we should have fully sold out of the position heading into it, but you got to do that calculus on how much was priced in how low expectations got particularly after alphabet results. All right, so just got a couple minutes left here. Help. Our Bloomberg audience, just get an idea of what we should be watching out what you will be watching, maybe something that will come out from Apple tomorrow, that might be investable for you. Or something that might make you pair back. Well, Apple, you know, Apple and Amazon one are have been slightly larger positions. Certainly relative to meta. But cautious about it and thinking about potentially reducing exposure there. Obviously the Tesla's news coming out of China was not encouraging with respect to Apple. Apple is very cyclically exposed. I think the Mac numbers should be okay. The iPhone number should be okay, but the pen that they have was the fourth quarter outlook look like. And we're not sure everything is priced in at this point. So depending on how things shake out tonight and how the market looks tomorrow, potentially might be reducing exposure there. And then with respect to Amazon, that's probably the only one where there may be the largest disconnect between the street and the buy side expectations. So that's one that we are also cautious on. Obviously, we're hedging the whole portfolio with against broader macro risk and market risk. So protected to a certain extent on that side. But Amazon one, it's interesting because we feel it's the most undervalued relative to all the other big tech companies relative to their growth rate and relative to its growth potential and market potential, but it's also the one with the greatest disconnect between buy side and sell side expectations. So we're cautious on both quite frankly heading into the quarter tomorrow. James 30 seconds left, I want to just circle back to Apple real quick in the China risk there, I will spend a lot of time in the last few days talking about this. How should investors think in 30 seconds about the China risk? I think it's material. I mean, you have the good chunk of their business coming out of there. It's a huge driver of iPhone sales and iPhone Mac sales. As well as Mac, MacBook sales. So it is a risk. And then it's slow down there is something we're cautious. I mean, there's no other way to say it. Yeah, some 68.4 billion in revenue for 2021 and it's been had about a three year average growth rate of more than almost 10%. 19% of the company's revenue coming from China last year. It's some serious stuff. All right, James, as always, take care. James chakma partner and technology analysts are thanks to you. He's of course at clockwise capital joining us via Zoom from Miami. NASDAQ 100 E mini futures are down about 2.2% in the after hours. My Nancy Lyons standing by in her 99 one studio in D.C. hannes. Thanks, Tim. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken says China is undermining that decades long status quo that has kept both countries from going to war over Taiwan. And he tells Bloomberg in a wide ranging interview, he believes Beijing is trying to speed up its seizure of the island, which should evoke global concern. If there's any crisis regarding Taiwan, we've got 50% of container ships on a daily basis traveling through the Taiwan straits. The implications of a crisis, if that were disrupted or for the world economy, supply chains are significant. Lincoln tells Bloomberg, the U.S. is focusing on strengthening partnerships with our allies rather than trying to influence China's internal dynamics. With inflation front and front and center for most Americans, President Biden says he's directing his administration to target what he calls unfair junk phase that companies charge for things ranging from hotels to concert tickets. It would even extend to overdraft fees at banks, which the president calls unfair. Today's actions are going to save consumers more than $1 billion each year. And that's a lot of money back in people's pockets. Biden says he knows Americans are frustrated with the high prices on almost everything, but he believes his administration's actions will help. "Start hearing a little bit more of a kitchen sink kind of commentary. And for example, Microsoft. You're watching the Elon video. Everyone's saying kitchen sinks. This video did you see that game? No, no. Okay, so there's a video. He posted on Twitter. Earlier this afternoon, what roughly an hour ago of him walking into Twitter headquarters today with an actual kitchen sink. He said, let that sink in, but I think either way a lot of us are interpreting it as, right? Like you're trying everything, throwing the kitchen sink at it. Didn't look like a kitchen sink, by the way. It looked like a light one. Well, I mean, if you think about 2008, you know, we had the highest PE ever recorded when every company said, we have no idea what's going to happen. Interesting. And we're not sure that companies are quite doing that now, but it's really not as much what the companies are guiding to. It's where the buy side expectations are. And unfortunately, the street expectations have been a little too high, but the buy side expectations have been lower than where street numbers are for the most part. So if those two things start to converge, I think the setups could be good. And I think Microsoft's kind of cautious cloud outlook relative to how they performed in three Q is a little kitchen kitchen sink esque. Some of those big double farmhouse sinks, right? Hey, can I just go back to meta for a moment? Because we have a great live. James, and Sarah friar are big tech team leader. So knowing on this company has written about this company, nonstop and in a book. There's a quote that came out and it says, we do anticipate that reality labs operating losses in 2023 will grow significantly year over year beyond 2023. We expect to pace reality labs investments such that we can achieve our goal of growing overall company operating income in the long run. So this is, as you said earlier, Tim, this is about metaverse, going forward. So they're basically, right? Guiding us, we're going to continue to lose money. We still think this is the future, but we're going to lose money. Yeah, Sarah's fantastic. By the way. But yeah, I mean, those investments there are going to continue, but you have to also see more cost discipline on the core side of their business. I have no problem with them investing in the future. So what I do take pause with is aggressive hiring and bonus practices and whatnot for their core business, which is an extremely extremely mature business. And I mean, you can say digital advertising is mature. And. So I want to do see more cost discipline there. And make the bets where it matters and pull back where it doesn't. James, it's interesting because we saw the TikTok effect. We oftentimes talk about that in the context of Facebook and Instagram, mostly Instagram. But we saw the TikTok effect play out yesterday when it came to Alphabet and YouTube. And it just shows the power that TikTok has right now. I mean, how should investors think about the competitive threat to multiple businesses that TikTok poses? And two words or less or 5 seconds, because that seems about everybody's attention span at this point. Sorry, go ahead, James. Are you making a TikTok joke? I kind of am. Like, right? Nobody wants to do. Anyway, go ahead, James. Well, TikTok is a threat. There's no two ways about it. But at the end of the day, meta has 2 billion give or take users. Google Alphabet controls 80% of the search market. So I don't think those are going to change, do engagement rates change add pricing and possibly, but for meta streets looking for around 8% revenue growth next year, I think that's completely reasonable. That number is probably going to come down after today. So again, expectations versus what they can actually post. I still think is set up nicely for the on the long side. But then again, the caveat. I feel like I've been counting on everything. You have this wild card curve ball from Apple this week. Which looks Sarah reported on also. And it's like, can they catch a break, you know? Well, you know, I'd go just back to meta for another moment on our live blog, sour putting out there that the best news for meta here is that it's social media platforms are still growing. And she's got a great bar chart and showing, as you said, James. I mean, you're talking about the billions of people that are on meta's platforms. I mean, that's a valuable asset. No doubt about it. We have to remember that when we talk about kind of the bigger broader either pivot of this company or just the bigger broader story, James sit tight, I know you're going to hang around for us, which we're so grateful for. We're going to come back to James chakma. He's partnering technology analyst at clockwise capital. Talk a little bit more about what we're seeing in the tech scene and maybe talk a little bit more about Amazon and Apple. What? Yeah, I'm looking at shares of meta. The stock market's closed now, but in after hours, it's down significantly as much as 12%. Which if it were to open now, be trading at a $115 a share, Carol. I go back and looking at the chart, you have to go back more than 5 years to find a time when meta platforms was trading for that price. And that's after losing what 6% in today's regular session. 62% this year. It's a big haircut. But again, if you believe in the story, does an investor come in and say, okay, that stock's now hugely on sale. 2016 is when you

"chakma" Discussed on Pray the Word with David Platt

"Pray the word with David Platt is a resource from radical dot net. Jeremiah 44 versus 15 through 17. Then all the men who knew that their wives had made offerings to other gods and all the women who stood by a great assembly, all the people who lived in pathros and the land of Egypt answered Jeremiah. As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of the lord, we will not listen to you. But we will do everything that we have vowed to make offerings to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her as we did both we and our fathers are kings and our officials in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food and prospered and saw no disaster. I don't know if you were able to follow all of that, but basically the people of God in the middle of experiencing judgment for their sin say were still not going to listen to the voice of the lord. We're still not going to listen to God's word through you, Jeremiah. We're going to trust and ourselves instead of God. And I read this and I am just reminded we are taught that repentance turning from sin in and of itself is a gift of God's grace that we need God's grace for our eyes to be open to our sin. For us to turn from it, run from it that left to ourselves, we actually just go deeper and deeper and deeper into sin. And there's all kinds of implications for this. Certainly in our own lives, when we think about our need for God to convict us daily of sin to guard us from blind spots in our lives and unwillingness to see sin in us and to turn from it. We need to seriously examine our hearts and ask for God's help in that on a daily basis. And then when we think about sharing the gospel with other people, only God in his grace can open people's eyes to their need for Jesus and to bring people to trust in Jesus, which means we need to be praying continually. For God to do this work in the hearts of people around us, people we share the gospel with in our families and our friendships or the places where we work, wherever we live, and then when we pray, like we do all the time on this podcast for unreached people, we need to pray that God would do it only he can do that he would open eyes to his Salvation by his grace. So we pray. According to Jeremiah 44 versus 15 through 17 God, we need your grace in our lives. Please open each of our eyes to sin in our lives and help us to turn from it. God repentance is a gift of your grace and our lives that we need. We pray for contrition and sorrow over sin and a turning from it, especially as we see this picture in Jeremiah, people not doing that. God, please do that in our lives left to ourselves. We plunge ourselves into more ruin. We need your grace. We praise you for your promise to give it to us when we ask. So we pray for this kind of heart for repentance and humility before you in our own lives and God, we pray for this and the lives of people around us. We pray that as we share the gospel with the family members and friends and coworkers and neighbors and others around whom we live, go to we pray that you would open eyes, you would do it only you can do it. We pray for spiritual awakening in the hearts of people around us and they might be humble before you. They might see their need for Jesus and they might turn and trust in him. God, please do that. We think about people we've been sharing the gossip with for years, got police, please, please do that. We pray. And God, we pray that you would do this among these people groups that we pray for continually on this podcast or today for the chakma people of India. 258,000 of them, 0% followers of Jesus God. We know none of them will be saved apart from your gray, Scott rep, show your power, cause your word to go to them, raise up labor, to spread the gospel of them, proclaim the good news of Jesus love and win that happens. God replay that you would open eyes to believe among the chakma people. Bring in the harvest among the chakma people got only you can do these things. We need your mercy. Others need your mercy near us, far from us. We pray for it. Am I pray that he would use even our prayers right now as a means by which your mercy is distributing in our lives and others lives around us today that you might give us the opportunity to lead somebody to Jesus today by your grace in the work of your spirit and God we pray for that among the chakma people of India. And Jesus name we pray, according to your word in Jeremiah. Amen..

"That ira rollover into your four. Oh one cal- the pre-tax assets all the pre-tax assez two zero that out. Because if you can get it to where the answer is no. I don't have any other. Ira assets then you can do. What's affectionately known as the back door roth conversion or roth conversion strategy where you can contribute to a nondeductible traditional ira. You don't take the deduction you convert. It's a roth and because the assets all after tax it's a completely tax-free conversion. Why is this a 401k planning strategy because the 401k is the thing that allows to zero out those pre-tax. Ira's but you have to make sure you have a good 401k to do that. Yeah so that's what if you are sitting on those separate as the simple ariz because look i've had them all. If you think about my first company you don't start off back. Then they didn't even have solo. You always started with a separate. Then you graduate to a simple roi and then you started doing 401k's a lot of you guys are probably the same way you can roll those old. Our assets. Back up into a great four one k. And set yourself up for some of these advanced planning strategy so that's advanced strategy number one number two. This is a big one and this is one that we alluded to earlier. It's the mega roth. Conversion or the mega door roth. That's only available inside of specific 401k. Plans with specific provisions. What's interesting is that. We've spoke to a few corporations to go talk to executives and others and we see this really good plan designs. You will see. A lot of the plans will offer after tax contributions. They'll in service either distributions or in-service conversions. Right there within the plan. That's all the magical recipes. You need because that allows you to. As bo talked about earlier we can load up the fifty seven thousand dollars that you can put into these qualified plans. Sixty three thousand five hundred fifty or older and then any area that you have. It's not crowded out by employer match employer profit-sharing you can go above the salary deferrals with after tax contributions contributions and immediately turn them into roth funded contributions through a conversion. So i'm gonna give you an example. Brian chakma math because math is not my jam. Wanna do it on the floor. Let's assume that you max out your salary deferrals. Nineteen thousand five hundred dollars and let's assume you're matching contribution. Your employer puts in is ten thousand five hundred dollars that takes us to a total of thirty thousand dollars a math right. If you're playing for after-tax four one k. Contributions you could elect put another twenty seven thousand dollars into your 401k of after tax contributions. If you stop there the twenty seven thousand goes in after tax in any of the earnings will grow tax deferred and when you pull the money out. The earnings would be taxable in less. You have access the number to your employer allows you to in that same year role those after tax contributions to a roth or do an in plan roth rollover once you do that. That twenty. seven thousand dollars of after-tax contribution turns into twenty seven thousand dollars of roth that then all of the earnings all of the growth will be tax free forever. If you think it's really cool to be able to do a six thousand dollar roth. ira contribution or you think it's really really cool to be able to do a nineteen thousand five hundred dollar raw. 401k salary deferral. Then you should think it's really really really cool to be able to twenty seven thousand dollar mega back door roth contribution. I do want to kind of put some of had some questions on the senate. I know we're way in the weeds but this is the people who are hanging out. Now are the financial shorts. So they'll appreciate this additional depth if you're a business owner and you know that your pre they're fully funding the fifty seven thousand or the sixty three thousand five hundred fifty or older. This might not be as exciting especially if you have employees because if you know you're already fully funding that you have to worry about the task testing issues plus it's also if you're in higher tax bracket situation do you wanna go ahead and pay at that highest tax bracket just so. You can do a mega roth opportunity. So it's not as great for those people. This is really awesome for executive level employees that this additional after taxes. Actually more money. You're saving it's more savings as what this enables is why you get so excited about it. And then that more savings is actually tax free raw eligible. That's the part. That's the secret sauce. It gets people excited. It is somewhat complex. And i have to clarify that. Because there's a lot of us my small business owners out there who just celebrated the idea of having all this roth money that i always have to say yes but there's some of it you have to. You have to check some boxes. You have to go run. Some census data really nerdy stuff to make sure. This is a good idea. So let's transition to another strategy. Bo- we call this multi income source. Hack yes so one of the things. That's really interesting. We already acknowledge that when you have. 401k's you only get one nine thousand nine five or only get one twenty six thousand no matter how many 401k's you have. However that fifty seven dollar limited can go into 401k's is her unique employer plan. So if you're someone perhaps your doctor and you work for a medical group and then you get income from a hospital and then you have a book deal. You have different income sources coming your way from different employers that are unrelated. One of the things you can do is via solo 401k's if you have accessed you might be able to max out one planet. Fifty seven thousand dollars and then have another plan where you're also taking advantage of either profit sharing contributions or possibly even after tax 401k. Contributions that fifty seven thousand can go across multiple different plants remember. Here's the key parts of this. Contributions retirement plans are coming from two sources employees employers. We know the employees money. That's your four fifteen limits your salary deferrals. It's capped out. It doesn't matter how many employees employees and companies you work for important companies. You own you only get one. Nineteen thousand five hundred now. There is one hack on this four four. You do both you can do. 401k's and for fifty seven different code section with with the irs. But here's the thing i want to make. Sure bring everybody back with these multi income source hacking is that it's the employer person portion..

It's my podcast and yes this has to do with getting vaccinated. The fda has approved the pfizer vaccine. Here's the quote today the. Us food and drug administration approved the first cove in nineteen exceed. The vaccine has been known as the pfizer bio and tact cove in nineteen vaccine and will now be marketed as comber natty terrible name for the prevention of covert nineteen disease an individuals sixteen years of age and older vaccine also continues to be available under emergency use authorization eat you a including individuals twelve to fifteen years of age and the administration of the third dose in certain immuno-compromised individual. So this is great news. I know many of you were looking at the facts. The vaccine especially the fis one Which essentially ensures you're not gonna i from covert you might get covert. You might have a breakthrough case as my friend. David did from the podcast. But the number of people dying who've had the pfizer vaccine is extraordinarily low. I mean we're talking. Twenty five fifty a hundred to one depending on the community and this daters obviously a moving target. But i did see that in the new york times so That is the point of a vaccine is so you don't die. Your life is absolutely Important it's important not only to you But to your friends your family in fact humanity. We all have a part to play as part of this human species and it's just not worth the risk to not vaccinated. You have to come to your own conclusion. Yes but this is a major milestone. It is no longer emergency use. It has been approved. And it's logical that it's been approved because if you're taking the vaccine now your taking it i think in month nine ten or eleven compared to your friends and family Your countrymen and countrywomen and and people around the world there have been over a billion people who've gotten vaccinated pfizer vaccine has been used by hundreds of millions if not billions. So if you're waiting for it to come off of emergency use. This is a great moment for you to consider making your own risk assessment. Doing your own thoughtful research across many different sources of information. The us food and drug administration is one of them. And you know there's a lot riding on them making this Pre officially approved. Not emergency uses a lot riding right. They have a lot of skin in the game. People can get in a lot of trouble if they prove something. That's dangerous so. I think this is a really big moment for those of you. Were waiting to see It's a new experimental vaccine. Okay if you got the measles vaccine if you got other vaccines as a kid. I think now that it's been approved. I would say it's reasonable to think of it like getting chicken pox vaccine. No big deal. Okay go get it. That's my best advice. You have to make your own decision. And i respect your process and now you have a great piece of new information to help you make a decision and help us end. This ridiculous pandemic which is chest been absolutely psychologically economically emotionally spiritually parentally educationally brutal for so many people Not to mention people dying so take this new piece of information. And i would like to think about it deeply okay. I'm not making the decision for you. I'm not telling you to do it. I wanna tell you to do it. But i want you to know. I respect your decision making process. It's no longer emergency. News is approved. The big moment folks. give it some. Okay great episode. Talk to you tomorrow..

"To dive into next to left our well. We've talked a little bit about them. Here and there so the chakma rachel and jose. So you know last time with jason. We're talking about the jose. Wanting to brush rachel teeth and we open with her bringing that up and how it bothered her so i like that she brought that up because if other all of us and you kinda worry about rachel that she seems like maybe she's she changes for a man and doesn't speak up for yourself loses herself a little bit so the fact that she is bringing that up a little bothered by the fact that jose like i know it didn't seem like he would come around to her side it was like he was just handing himself especially like because she has mentioned like wanting to feed me and okay i get it at the wedding. It's like okay romantic. Here's an here's the but it sounds like it's probably happening more than 'cause you i see that as like i provide and this is what i'm gonna do. I think he has like. I don't know it's just a thing for him. Yeah i that's not providing. Yeah and he's totally not listening the fact that feel like a kid as a man man. I am one provider. That's making her feel like she's a baby right especially with the brushing teeth. If you combine those two and then we see later on he brings it up again. So i watched this episode out of order so i didn't see the opening scene but i remember like later in the soda when he's trying to he's still doing. He's trying to get a minced her to like. Oh you'll let me do this and yeah. She's not comfortable khazar dynamic. Y- where she doesn't feel independence. She's creeped out you know. They have to lay their like the one couple because we didn't see michaela out on the honeymoon if they're like the most physically affectionate and all the couples really wild by like. Oh they're so cute. They're so affectionate and it's like it's going to start like rubbing her the wrong way even more like it might put her where she's unattractive if he doesn't respect her boundaries on that it's it's it's like i have this dance and you're gonna come around eventually no matter how you're feeling right..

"Couldn't be here without the hall of famer himself the founder of the four horsemen the creator of the spine. Buster ladies and gentlemen. Here he is. It's our own anderson aren't how are you man houser by going good man better than i deserve excited me here. I'm loving what we're doing taking a walk through memory lane and of course we're talking about july of nineteen eighty five today. We tease at the end of last week's episode. But you guys are going to be in. Greenville south carolina on july first. And they're doing ten team battle royal where the winner gets fifty grand. So i guess you only split the brand. Yeah supposedly you won twenty five thousand dollars that night. You're into the purse so we won that yeah. Does this surprise you to tell you. Bless you thank you sorry without chakma still being a male yes something about that sometimes happens that one i would have remembered whatnot. How would think so money out of money especially in those days what you like about about a royal anything not one single thing and i don't think anybody will tell you different knows her way around a business. It was too easy for people to get involved in this thing to get caught up in their own fistfight and step on you. Low achy knee elbow you in the back of the head there. So many things that could happen about a royal. Because it's just it's pitch up and smear with a bunch of grown men and if you've got a prize that big man they're turning it on and it's not a safe place to be it's a. It's a match that i've never heard any wrestler. Say that they actually enjoyed. And i know a lot of fans really love it but Still it's it's the shits. Yep i've heard gallo's say forearm forearm forearm forearm say call about a royal forearm. Four on yeah or the couple more for forearm forearm and the guys that were smart. But it really didn't do a whole lot for your career were the ones they were four corners and you tried to find one of those corners and get your back into it so you could watch everything that was going on and the rain that avoided anything happening behind you. But they're only four of those and once you got there and got settled in most guys didn't like to give that corner up but it didn't leave the aged to a bunch of excitement. If you were in the corner well a couple of days. After that on july third you're going to be at the dorton arena and how about this. It's another tag team battle royal this time. Ivan crusher khrushchev win it. I guess this was just the flavor of the week the other participants in this battle royale are of course magnum. Ta manny fernandez the barbarian and superstar. Billy graham of course you and only jimmy valiant and starship eagle catch everybody up on who starship eagle is. I've been a lot of people. don't recall. who is it. all come on you know who starship eagle was. I really don't scott hall. I didn't remember that. Yeah he came in with a coyote in eagle american starship. Of course coyote was very young. Dan spivey But yeah scott hall here working as starship he goal. How long did that last night very long at all. I think he got his big break with you guys Helping cleaned the ballpark for crockett and then worked his way in here. And he's gonna find some greener pastures up in the awa has some success there and then he's off to the races also in this mash. Buddy landale kendo nagasaki. That's a name. We've spent much time talking about any good kendo nagasaki stories you can share with us kind of double back scott hall that three often. I don't remember like he. That was when he was really big to he was he was a big up. Dude would not remember that. I don't know that must've been a real short stay. I don't think he was there for long less for sure. There's a new sports drama series on stars and it's set in the world of indy wrestling. Heels follows a family owned wrestling promotion as two brothers war over control of the league and their late. Father's legacy ace and jack spades rivalry. Both in and out of the ring is the main event brother versus brother hero versus. He'll even see in punk a stepping back onto the map for a cameo alexander. Ludwig plays a spade to beloved hero. Young hotshot and the star of the duffy wrestling league outside the ring a struggles to reconcile his idol status with this habit for self-destruction saving a male plays his brother and league. He'll jack spade is hard working. Proprietor husband and father is trying to breathe new life into the wwl. Don't miss heels. Premiering sunday august fifteenth only on stars and the stars app had a you know awa at a real good run. Yeah oh well that's probably just my memory playing tricks on me moving on. What was the next question. Kendo nagasaki and you got handle stories. Okay yeah you know. He had that look he had that minjah outfit. I think he had the before mood ahead. The missed muna thinks stolen from him right. I think so. i think it's borrowed. Maybe is the term. They prefer maybe bought on on insult anybody. But i know kendall had it. He was Jj dylan had managed him at some point during his career. I think prior to this maybe in texas or no. That wasn't jj was. Where's the other guy with the bald head. That gary hart. Gary hart. I think that was. The association was familiar with maybe from dallas prior to him coming to crockett or was that afterwards. You know. I don't recall off the top of my head. Let's keep running through the list here. Though we got dick slater and bus sawyer. Ron bass and bus tyler pats knock on danny brown and stoney burke and sam houston haven't spent much time at all talking about stoney burke and he gets tony stories now stony was one of those guys that i think probably pass through pretty quickly that i don't recall if i saw a picture of him. I might sam. Houston we've started figuring out was pretty pretty talented around that time Stoney burke july fourth the next day you're back in the omni man you guys are running the omni. A ton here tells you where the businesses interesting to note here. In july of eighty five. The opening match has bobby eaton and dennis kandari so Kinda co cool little footnote in history when you think about it. The main event is flared magnum. Ta but somewhere in the middle now. It's only an arn against buys and brett sawyer. So it's been a buzz and dick slater. Now it's buzz and brett sawyer so it's family versus family. I like that. Yep me too personal issue. You could skip around when you shoot an idol conrad and you'll remember this in those days. If it was something that really worked you could get away from it for a couple of weeks and still be promoting. Say that there wasn't a show that had those participants the andersons sawyer's say three weeks away. You could still be promoting it and reminding people with a clip on tv. Hey member this happened a week ago two weeks ago and you can keep it fresh without having to just jump and run to that match so the fact that we doubled back in that was now. Brett and buzz is our opponents. People still remembered to pothead. It was still pretty clear in their mind. I want to mention. You're actually gonna miss a couple of shows here. You're gonna miss july fifth and on that's an appearance in richmond. Virginia you were originally supposed to be in a tag match against bass and tyler. Eventually they get deaton. Tatum to substitute for you. And only you're also supposed to be in the main event which once again is a tintin battle royal. But you're not there so instead it's a nine team battle. Royal any idea why you would have missed the show here on the fifth day after the fourth of july.

"A christian. You know me like my grandmother taught me that the time that you should most concern yourself with revision is after. You've got something that you think you deserve after you've gotten what you deserve me. Most invested in revision. Because you need to assess why you actually need or want. That thing is at the core. What does that bank or that idea do for you. But these folks worked opposite. Once you get that thing you think you want or need in the moment you never need to go back and rethink the ethics of you know. I mean again. I come from very active political self determined people from mississippi chakma. Mississippi be specific. And there's always attention with with with our folks about how much time we spend critique gain in trying to change these people understandably because if you these people you can change your conditions and how much time we spend convincing trying to change ourselves to be more we need for each other and and those days have to go hand in hand but in my work. I've just been trying to tease through like the history of people trying to make that decision like do we do. We spend our energy trying to change these people and or double down and have faith in the fact that like we have to work and the reason we are sitting here today standing here today talking here today is because of the faithful work of a lot of mostly for us a lot of mostly black people who were helped by again a multiracial group of people in this country. That's i have faith that we can be better. I have faith that we can work harder. And ensure that the people come after us have more access to healthy choices. In second chances. I believe that Also believes the talking to white people about white people seductive and in my life can ultimately get you nothing right. That's hard all those two. Things are very hard for me to sydney. But that's what. I'm trying.

I want to ask you something. I mentioned pudding three or four times. Synopsis was there. Panda any mention of pudding in this episode of one i My only question. So it's not. I think people need to understand the wait. What is it so much that egregious errors to be found in the show other than the fact that it just commits the cardinal sin of being so boring. You can't even comprehend it like so if you're looking for something to pick apart there's nothing to pick apart because it's just so patently are horrible to watch that you don't really there's nothing to say. Why is jack's home. Three thousand miles away from the town the little plot of land purchased and they're on top of a mountain. It's gonna take them years to get to town. That's a terrible piece of land for him to live on a wait. What maybe that's what. Why is why is a nora. Still around gallon gallon driving away from the town like he sits there and he's finally frustrates like these people. Don't appreciate me. You killed half the townfolk down Just i don't understand. I don't understand why you're upset. I don't understand why why we're doing this. What is this watching this. That's what it is. That's the way what having said that. I i'm astounded every week that there are some people that this the winkles are their favorite thing that we do we get that email and comment on a regular basis and i wanna say to those people simultaneously one. How dare you to. I want to hang out with you. Because i do think that they get the lunacy that we're going for but also it does make me have to continue to watch him so it's a real love. I think brooke shields was mid forties was no no no. She's fifty five this year. Fifty six this year is just was five years ago has fifty when they filmed this. I looked it up. She might been fourteen or fifteen. I mean it just was so weird in jarring to see brooke shields play dana listings mom. That was weird. The only other one. I have is is elizabeth is in the church slash school working and the kids are at recess because one kid comes in. She's like his recess over who is watching the children at recess or do we. We understand that there's kids ranging four to fifteen outside just running amok is less simpler. Time simpler tom. That's right nothing bad happened. The nineteen ten's it was toward less government corruption back. That's right so much less. I wanna know if gallon for gut his pudding then he has for. Yeah so much. He does mention pudding. I i don't. I am one hundred percent competent. He does not mention putting one hundred percent one hundred percent under what jurisdiction i just said. I'm one hundred percent. I don't have to have jurisdiction to be. Does he do what are you talking about. I mean what are you talking about. I'm one hundred percent confident. He didn't say put. And then i said under what jurisdiction and i don't have to have one. I'm saying i don't have one. That's what i'm saying. No you need one. Do you think you are i am. It's time for hopes and valleys as far as one over the future or bummed us out banda neural. Lets out a little scream at the. But i'm and. I hope i hope there's something i think i think nor is going to die. Which would make things interesting. I'm not here for death. No one likes death. I think it's a. It's a real bummer. But what made the show more interesting than what we've gotten currently if you kill off a character the last time you got excited about something like this. It was the judge. Yes i'm scared to give. The judge is a game changer. Look this judge is good. He's a wild car. I'm just so excited.

That cute little like a purse have to do with anything that that's how i feel about the one you know so if you want one for you is actually a purse it if you want to present me with the one while you know which one i'm talking we're getting sidetracked now. It's not it's what. True love are soulmates. Yeah that is named perfect match chakma. Yeah i like oh you always sprinkle that in somehow just from the investment in your love to everything yeah i. But i don't know i feel like i i really do think i would just be it would be better to not open pandora's box because although i would be curious i think by not knowing and not seeing what's inside right what's the result. I'm going to be less curious overall. Because if i'm happy in the relationship i already am in and especially if we've invested time we've probably been through some stuff together. You know what i mean. We've grown as people together Any although there's maybe this chemical biological perfect match for me this person that's out there. I have a choice whether or not to open that box. And if i'm already happy. I probably to save heartache. And all that stuff. I'll probably just leave it alone now. If i was single you bet your you bet your behind. I'm going to check. It doesn't mean. I'm going to act on it right away and shifting but i'd still probably think about it. You know just scared. I'm just scared that would have might be one passes away or my v. one risk are made. The one is a serial killer immediately for the dark stop. You don't think you're all beautiful with list dictate. How much fun. We're going to have how you know we're gonna build a family. How beautiful kids be recognized and you go straight for. What if he's a serial killer a serial killer would if he died. What is I'm the optimist in our relationship. Sure you always go for like but if this goes this goes around we have to recognize one thing. Just because you're in love with someone doesn't mean they're good for you know absolutely such as we've seen that because without this technology relationships today you have people that are with a bad person. They're really really in love with them. I'm afraid of is. What if i fall in the madly in love with someone who is not good for me. But you know this. This intense chemistry clouds might judgments. On what what is good for me but then at that point you just because you're attracted let's when you're attracted to them near them. Then you just distance yourself. That's not true because you're so quickly attached you turn crazy. Is that what you're trying to tell me. You can't even be watching that. Now he continued continuously obsess over because matanzas. Because of the feeling you had strong candidate. He's not good for him all the things that she's done to him but then yet he cannot get over her because the connection was so strong that he was never able to move on and is that connection based on.

"Come under fire for all kinds of things done teachers a favorite kind of targets for people want quick and easy nasty headline an the thing that they tend to come after us in universities about at the moment particularly i mean apart from fees and value for money and degrees about silly things and all that kind of thing. The really big one is free. Speech is net. And it's a really interesting one to stop. Maybe when you are on a bit of a break and think okay. Hey let's just let's just check this chakma campus here. Where are we on the kind of freedom of speech on twitter. I'm am. I sort of very often any bad directions. And it's very likely i think our school colleagues might have a different sort of southbound there compared with those of us who are in universities and it just got me thinking and actually one of the links that was posted underneath. I mean clearly. There were a lot of people who were very angry with this police force. Because i either. Because they had they'd misstated the law and they felt they were being kind of draconian dystopia or on the other hand. They were saying right. You've done damage here to various communities who were occasionally the targets of hate. Because you really messed up here and now people are not gonna wanna wanna kind of report things but one of the links was to a judgment which i read in its entirety. I choose about sixty pages long. It was worth a read quite controversial judgments. And i'm going to. I'm going to kind of set the boundaries here straight away and say this. This was a judgment in relation to some fairly rude and offensive tweets that were sent by a person and it's to do with the debate around gender identity and particularly kind of trance community. Take that kind of thing. And i'm absolutely going to stay at this point. The we know that this is a debate that we should be at simple point on the podcast..

Well let's get into our review so in part one with Jess and Kate. We look back at Saint. Stephen's Day and boxing day from here. We're going from the twenty seven th onwards. So we'll start with the Patty's rewards club loyalties altis did look for rewards chase. This was check on poor soil is supposed to be crowning moment. I guess his return. He done a brilliant piece of work or at least it looked that way. Danny Mullen said worn the head cam it all it very impressive buddy got blown away. By the two stars of the moment Henry Debrum head and Rachel Blackmore the story on the fair exchange beforehand Karen. I presume shotgun personnel was being well-supported Yeah Second Priscilla laws. I mean this was the hartaway. We're all hoping to see over Christmas. This harstad we spoke about before Christmas was one of the ones who are really excited to see this race and never really for me got GEICO and in the race it did hit a low point. Few eight hundred surround want to four ALU tired hides a BS five point five which is nine to two and did eleven or ten into one in running which again until surprise me to be honest. I mean our plutarch's the youngest one in the race I suppose the kind of almost forgot how amazing and I wrote Shetland. Moore's last time I if I was looking at the shotgun slot ruin it. I don't know twenty split seemed to be almost missing an extra year when it it was coming up. I like to know what they are going to do. Now both does a lot of reasons. I suppose that you could still be in the campus. Well which can persuade was it. I ruin and so will I know some people have said the populist Carson maybe not sold audible for me but I'd like to see off new tired now go onto the right air. I'd like to see how we get on with that and shocking. We'll give it. We'll give one more ago. I wouldn't show the baby out with water. Just it was a disappointing on a strange Leopardstown and a strange Christmas relief for Willie mullins because a number of his big guns severely disappointed. Some of them had very a legitimate excuses. He still ended up being top trainer at Leopardstown which was odd considering the amount of bubbles that were burst but Gordon Elliott currently has a five hundred thousand euro lead over in the trainer's title but sh- as Brian Flanagan said whisper. That one quietly that he's currently got that lead. What did you make out of a plutarch? Let's start with the winner. Tony Ryanair as is the target for him much to Roy frustration. But this was in. This was impressive. Maybe we'll take Willie mullins Christmas for steroid very intentional Christmas and for a yard strange. They're we're having a strange season and history at no over the last couple of weeks mont seventeen eighteen percent whereas there's like William Orleans seasons past twenty percent thirty percent the question. I was asking me winning where all the new horses Commodore Chat Chat. lapis tones past year could be shared with emboldens would have maybe a couple of French horses. That hadn't been seen in on the days run in the mid and orders you'd be seen six to four in the morning east hates. Take that on 'cause off four to five and winds fifteen minutes and you're kicking yourself do toss this year are- recycling the same incident. Orders the fee spirituality. I wanted on Stevens the business and and the game it's Josh. Let's call him Jones. Noga be the Donnie Colorado's debate and Henry sources wherever wherever the new communist of the bar. Quick questions is is. Don't think deeply who's really nervous order the minutes. Jesus is Avenue. Thank you see what I'm getting at this time does pass to be fit the top of a novice whore you'll be thinking about not supreme body body more stats or whatever not this year so that that's a little bit strange. They last year obviously young harsh on in the champion Bumper Cheltenham. Blue Saturday. He'd already disbands. We may talk about emily and so some slightly stain season going on now William owners now some of them just come back to check on Bush lost some of them. You could argue are are needing to run a little bit. That would not be the usually it would win over the years so I was bit. Negatively is the bubble burst Chakma Shaw possibly reports this and he don't have a sort of an impossibly high salen after punches. Tony he destroyed. You officers the officers coming from win and grade wants and as has been pointed out that was. NBC's and follow him. He was a fresh horse. Daffy wasn't fresh injected Geneva wasn't fresh that lottery at that stage taught zoning twenty-seven Puerto a little bit of Lydia. NYDIA is good for very good place. When he tip evening free bought him a electors? The winner m writing is put in the salvaged performance. was dimissed. This one and I was amazed to cope with the drop in trip. Am I tipped this shop and I didn't think this was remotely possible that it was going to afford enough augments stick this Richard said he was on his head a little bit early on. Didn't didn't really look that way and I talked. He was well on top after last. was never allowed on. And you know what I think is he just. After taking another mass of jump he looked very good and am NASTYA. Henry says you need. They're enforcing motor navin. I know he's just he's just a proper a he is only faith it chuck. You'll be seeing all this scope which is seven had raised in France before it came to. Willie mullins wait. It didn't roll Naomi. Ah for whatever many days and just look this up here and toes and named is needed wasn't trained for those days those teams you know for good copy. So I'm I'm a little bit lukewarm checking schlock boat incredibly positive on a plutot on Henry debris made 'em noth- known for Shea and away from big risk so I'm wondering are they going to go championships with this horse and I'd be interested in them. Not just was a brilliant performance and dig a statement another step forward. I was very good on the clock as what trainer comments can always be open to interpretation. And that's something that Mara was referencing in our bonus. Bonus betting special podcast. which if you haven't listened to strongly recommend that you do that? He often takes trainer comments with a pinch of salt and he's more interested in just doing his own form work and coming up to his own conclusions. The initial plan was Ryanair. That was what they were. They were staging they were going to do. And of course. That's the distance that he the handicapped children last year. But Roy was putting the source up as a big price for the champion chase at the start of the season and you have jost post given him a little bit more encouragement. And when you look at the current Marcus like does a question mark over your deputy Sawyer is coming through and has looked very good. He's passed every test so far. But there's probably going to need a little bit more
