They're heroes but no one can ever know because the methodist classified and credits roll and i have to tell you coming in this movie. I felt like i knew one thing having played the game. And seeing how expendable all my troops were and how many troops. I die. And i had to just sit around waiting for the barracks to produce more. You call this company of heroes. I think i'm seeing a movie about a bunch of martyrs. I think everyone will be dead when the credits roll. Yeah you call it like the dirty does except there's only like five people in this movie like change their outfits run red around behind the camera and come back. Yeah everybody onscreen feels expendable from jump street it just nobody is grabbing my attention onscreen. Oh come on. Chad michael collins. Apparently they have. He's the star his nate. We will have him established in the first scene. As even he's been on the battlefield for only three weeks. He's an excellent sniper. Apparently he that is his job. Like sniper remember this movie with tom. Berringer and billy zane from like thirty years ago. Yeah they're still making them. He is in sniper four through eight. He is the star of sniper series. When we run out of series. You just seen our future having you. Apparently tom beard. You're and billy zane take turns ones like okay. I'll do seven eight but they're still at it too. I can't imagine how good that quality is here but yeah he is the generic american hero that we're getting here. They give them some kind of conflict in that early on. He talks about whether he doesn't know if he believes in god and he's holding his dad's purple heart because his dad died on the war. One battlefield in france. Is that enough to pass for a character. I know that they don't have characters in the game. But this feels thin anaemic finn and unconvincing like. It's all just a little too much like rookie. First day on the job this thrust upon him. He's not willing to leave anybody behind the whole time. It's like at some point learn. You know it's like that not everybody who gets shot in the battlefield salable at some point. You got to cover your own ass dizzy. No he's a good sniper or does he just pick up a gun in his like. Let me see how this works bang. I'm a marksman. I really can't tell these opening. I can't tell anything about this whole movie. I even the. Let's talk about the these battle scenes. Let's talk about the cgi enhancement that. They've john because the one way you know this is a video game is because it looks like it has the graphics of an early atari video game passing for explosions. Hey this is much better than combat. The game that came with sorry not even heckling the movie for this. I feel like it was a missed opportunity. If you don't have the money to pull this movie off and we can all agree. They didn't have the money to pull this movie off. Why not go for something stylized. Why not go for something where you can see the seams but it still looks cool. Something like sin city which is obviously an artificial world all green screen but who cares because it's got atmosphere like they should have just said look. We can't pull this off. Let's go on location. We're not gonna walk on snow. We're going to do some kind of cgi backdrop movie and maybe we can make it cooler than this. You know they do that now. If you watch the disney show. The man delorean. They have this technology where they just have like a big screen backdrop and so instead of blue screening or anything they just turn on a television and it has the backdrop there and a curved background that they can walk against things but imagine. That stuff still looks photo realistic. I bet you're not sitting there thinking now. Oh really okay. I'm probably one of the few. But i really think the mandatory looks bad because of that background. My point is even when you have bad effects and you just can't pull it off that's gonna get creative right. That's when you say okay. This is a video game movie. Stylized it we're going to make it look like it is an atari game and we'll just go with that but you can't do that if you're going to do drama and the shock of this movie is this is going to be like they do everything but bacon an apple pie right khanna through in through the they're just trying to sell like we see shots of tattered american flags and you know he talks about his mother and the title shot where you see the title company of heroes without american flag and the sun behind. I mean it just feels like if they're not adopting a video game it feels like they're adapting like you see those shirts people wear of like an eagle and a flag on it. This is really tacky. And i just feel like it's all got to say. Unfortunately this is a movie about an american at war that doesn't even have perspective about war. It is just. America is cool. And i kinda like the setup here. They talk about the fact. they're arrogant. They think it's the end of the war and so people are starting to get a little bit sloppy. The they're convinced that this battle that that kicks off the movie is just the last remnants of some you know describe is fourteen year old germans who have broken rifles out in the woods and there's no real force left and so again the the sets up the idea that hitler really does have a surprise super weapon to unveil and these. This crew is going to stumble on as they tried to deliver christmas..

"To google that is. Jk ruins daughter. Who is a brazilian swimsuit. The key influence there and there is some like reddit speculation that actually how this woman is not her. She just looked fled shaking on daughter. Who was about the same age as twenty six twenty seven. I really wanna know. Is this woman her and get her name right in the first place and who is taking his daughter nowadays anyway so yeah probably something mystery. Thanks crunch french. This is such a like. I couldn't give one shit about. Jk rolling but like this mystery was like two compelling for me not to like go the same route so a lot of people are going on google to try and figure this out Because jk rowling has been married twice. She has kids with her second husband and she says with her first husband. Her first husband was this portuguese guy who was not great to her. And there's like a whole story about that because it's part of like her origin story but how she wrote harry potter. Whatever she had a daughter named. Jessica isabel julian po drawn days and she. She lived in portugal. But now they're this woman on instagram. Who is instagram. Dot com slash. Jessica orontes is a brazilian kind of bikini model slash influence. Her and i think it's the same woman i think she looks like her. I mean really looks like her. This isn't just a reddit. Thread like other publications are connecting. These people like this is some caller exclusive like the people who are saying. It's not hit. Her daughter are confused. Because they're like well. How could this brazilian woman be her daughter. And it's like very easily she she. Her father is portuguese. Right right it was easy for her to move to brazil. Like figure it out right It's just weird because she really kind of does look like. Jk rally like inheritor. There is there is a resemblance. And there's no photos of them together. They must not be close. Like that's like would you be close to your turf moma. I wouldn't if my mom were a turf. I'd lulu brazil. And be like. But i i'm separating myself from this narrative is funny because only a few months ago. The daily mail had like a talk of the town. That was like i hear. Congratulations to jk rowling order. Her eldest daughter is at the time. Not jessica twenty. Nine is the author's child by her first husband former tv journalist whore hey orontes and rolling has previous described how as a baby jessica would sit in her pram for hours on end while she wrote the first harry potter books in edinburgh coffee shops and says in typical secret style. Jk is keeping the secrets of the wedding details of the wedding low key. I don't even think she's involved in this. Like i don't even think she is involved in this wedding. I don't think so either. I don't think so either. There's no evidence that they even are in communication. No i have seen photos. i've seen. Oh actually written written communication like she probably a credit card. You like great. She's gotta trust fund or whatever right that's true that's true but she has a youtube account. She doesn't update at that often doesn't instagram is constant. This looks like her daughter. This looks like her daughter. I mean i wouldn't be surprised. I i think people are just like whoa. But it's like no it makes sense if you actually just like read that she has this daughter who whose father is portuguese and who probably makes sense move to brazil right like again like if your mom is shaky railing and your dad is like simply not. Wouldn't you choose the debt. Look what a great mystery. What a fun. Who i mean just so funny that this this history her her instagram really doesn't reveal anything. Really the only thing that i could see after scrolling all the way down because again most of these images are in brazil or at least specifically not england. I'm just calling to clarify things All the bt has members they do have solo work You know on the regular albums a lot of them have they all have solo songs. They do it. You know blah blah blah but the rappers they all had they all have solo albums on. Susan has multiple albums though jail. Show in our end the rappers. They all have the albums all hit number one. They've broken records but not reported. So then. that's why over here in the west. We don't think that they have any solo work. But it's not your fault if you don't know that it's just poorly reported also something that was poorly reported as they beat label big hit. They became h. Y. e. heights. You wanna say. I don't know but They bought the catalog of justin bieber. Arianna guerande and didn't of auto And because major stock in that company. So they're actually like superwealthy and in charge of their careers. "The highest. And then this one all right. Let's see where we ended up. All right painda what you think about this movie. Your hot take so. I really liked this movie. I i'll tell you why. I like it for a couple reasons. I like it. Because i like alleys character in this. She's not effervescence. she's not the bubbly person. she's on interesting. Well i think she's more serious. Like i think and i like that i did not mind it. You know murray. He's the same in every movie he ever plays like he chuckles a lot in this movie. He chuckles mount tackle head. He's he's he's real chuckle boy. The plot does not make a lot of sense here. And i mean that sincerely. This plot could easily be resolved in a couple minutes with anyone who uses their brain at all and so as a result of that. This is unfortunately for me the worst of the summer movies. But you like the law die like it but i think there's frank the season this is. This is as standard by standard for me as homework. Movie is you can get. But that doesn't mean i disliked loved the locale. I liked the vibe. That they were putting off. There's some really fun scenes with the clam bake. You know the claim beggars really fun for you. I think it was endearing how because they were baking clams and they were all toasting one another and you could tell us just a little intimate connection. The they're just friends. I would have you guys over for clam bake if i like clams clams so i probably wouldn't do it but if i were to do you guys and we'd all do you sell your you're just you're just voices gun So yeah i have this as a big fun may four so four thousand four movies or four out of ten for so decided. When i said four out of four i realized that's or tens bad okay fund. Maybe six six but last time it wasn't out of ten last time it was no it ended up being out of it. It was ten s. We originally thought it was a ranking a lot and gave it a four of ten. Yeah i i do. Because it's i think you just gotta understand. Four and five to me are underrated. Numbers i think that you as a number there attentive to. I'll go now for me this movie. What you like that as you thought it was good for me. This movie has two very distinct Moments one is Pre kissing one post kiss from the movie kind of splits into two different enjoyment Things for brands pre kiss was a bit of a snooze fest risk free. That's exactly right. Callback season was. It was a snooze fest. A both characters. Were trying out snooze. Each other's like i never thought i'd see the day where chad michael murray was bringing the energy in comparison but that's what was happening but then something's switched posts kiss. The kiss happened the scene where they end up kissing happens and after that. It's just a totally different thing. I really enjoyed the two of them together post kiss. I thought it was a lot of fun. So i don't know how to process that i don't know what to do because the the pro the movie before the kiss. I don't think it's possible for me to have cared less about it. Yes but the movie posts kiss. I wanted more them. I more together. I really liked him together. That kiss was hot sauce. So i don't know man it's tough for me. I still got to spend some time praying about it a little bit longer. But it's it's right there in the middle. I think big big fund. Maybe six might be correct. Yeah yeah posts kiss fantastic pre kiss snooze fest twenty twenty two twenty two thousand ten ahead. Yeah it's the headliner so far you to the headline so far for so far. You should be ashamed of yourselves. This movie is is a dumpster. Fire like it's legitimately terrible Especially before the kiss i. Here's all i know is. We're counting on the walking. Ambien chad michael. Murray to bring the energy in this relationship. I was saying again of the two leads. Chad michael murray is trying to pep it up some. We know we're in trouble right off the bat. The kiss is completely on earned. Movie is fixed in under thirty seconds to minutes. No no hair fixed appear good idea. That's the movie role credits roll credits. We fixed the entire ever. Lovin town can't fix a few blocks at the end of the beer. Well what do we don't have ocean gear. What's happening right now this movie. I don't know if we're supposed to be pulling for the big city or the small town. I don't know if the movie knows. I do know that. No one cares about being in it and is sleepwalking through it. One of the worst of the year. They definitely the worst of summer. It's a no go. It's an absolute no go for me. I think yeah. I mean post kids. I do have above aloha hawaii but the pre kiss is just such a awful but they don't kiss until the final man no acting like that's a mid way no and that's a big problem. It's a big problem so big problem. Maybe five problem maybe five. Maybe i will say. I don't know what i would prefer like the old story line of big city being bad because that's not the story line here. Storyline is. We are actually all cool with resort coming in and saving. Yes that sounds wonderful. But what i what is a hard thing to get over. Is this idea that somehow a resort and a appear are usually. Yeah thank you want appear so it was just such an odd thing to get elite. It's literally just pure after one after another after another. it's wild they call it a beach. No no they don't wanna try again here. Dole can appear myrtle. Take out the murder. You add the peers peer deal. It's pretty cool. A theory about this. I think the kiss seen was the first thing that they filmed of the movie. And these two actually like had a little something something going on and then they got mad at each other and the rest of the movie. They did after that first. This white the theory. That i find it very hard to believe that these two had not like didn't know each other before this meeting the world in which they were but the kidding i'm saying like she was a disney channel girl. He was one tree hill. She worked for the cw after this on some show like they definitely known each other. The kiss does not match up with the chemistry hardcore. It's unreal.

Thank you very much for that, Uh, there was, uh, an online debate this week. About And this is Dan Orlovsky from ESPN's. I think he's on first take And he said, What are you team saved by the bell. Or team Beverly Hills nine. Oh, 21. Oh, like Saved by the bell. No offense to anybody. It's a kids show. It's It's barely not a Nickelodeon show. Yeah, I watched it all through elementary school right now. I know what you want. No, is a young adult drama. Like there were I know there was some adult themes in saved by the bell like Jessie Spano and our energy pills or whatever, whatever, but Nine. Oh, 21. Oh explored themes of race, sexuality, addiction, gambling murder. Uh, this it's on another level to even compare. The two is ridiculous. They're not even in the same realm. You could go. Are you team 90210 or team? The OC. Now, I would say to you, the OC, while a brilliant show did not have the years of lineage that the Beverly Hill Ian's had, however, they're both phenomenal shows. And I believe that if the OC had gone on a few more years I'd probably put it up there with 902 and O, because in a few short years, the romance between Seth and summer of Ryan and Marissa rest and you know they killed Morris in the last episode, watched it. You never watched the O C? No. You know how I am with TV? I'm not very consistent. You know, man, I would let you borrow my DVD box set, but I don't think anybody has DVDs anymore. Uh, what a show. Oh, what a show Ryan. The rough and tough bad kid gets taken in. By the by sandy of benevolent human being and he's got to built in brother in Seth, who is kind of a nerd and Ryan's kind of a bad boy and then Ryan tries to help Seth be a little cooler. And Seth helps Ryan become a little bit more like mainstream and normal. And then Ryan falls for Marissa that Oh, my. What a show! What Uh, show was Ryan, Chad Michael Murray. No, Ryan. Was a dude. Benjamin something or other He he didn't really go on to do much. I think he was in a cop show called Southland. By the way, Brendan Fraser makes an appearance and in season three of the affair and, uh Yeah, He ain't looking too good. Uh far be it for me to critique someone else's looks. But, uh, his fall from Grace has been documented. But that doesn't stop the fan base from fully supporting and showing a lot of love for him. He should really interesting when you see I hate To see that celebrities age, not the day age poorly, but just that they feel the need. I don't know what his deal is. But if they cosmetically changed so much, so I have a real thing. A fascination with Dane Cook for this reason, and I think that I found him so attractive and the things that he saw as far as I feel like in more power to ensure like I am whatever makes you feel better, Yeah, Probe Unless you're like Renee Zellweger, who created a new face for herself. It's a new faith, and so I look at him and it's really hard for me to see the Comedian that was so congenial and facial expressions and stuff because it's gone when he does his comedy, so it doesn't feel like the same human being. I haven't seen Dane Cook, probably since waiting the movie, so I'll have to revisit his face, so I know Yeah. No. Yeah, He barely recognize that right now. It looks like it's not. It doesn't look like it's the same human being. Oh, goodness, and he looks great. But he doesn't look like he's the same person kind of looks like he's been chugging full cups of salt every day. "Big threes, But is there a ceiling that they hit? Yeah, that That feeling is the Brooklyn Nets, I think Drew holiday. I'm a big fan of it. You see that guy like myself, you know, great defender and, uh, beginning the series is kind of talk about who's going at the guard between Kyrie and Harden. Obviously, Harden goes down 43 seconds in the game one But these guys, look, they just have no answer. I think in the first quarter you just saw an explosion by the Nets with Katie and Kyrie GIs going off and really, frankly, just embarrassing in the bucks, so Not really sure with adjustments you can make to stop KV from raining jumpers on your head and kyrie from just this man on your team. And will he had Janice escapes like he was Chad Michael Michaels. It was it was eruption on, but, you know, look at the end of the day, They got to go back to Milwaukee, then got a rally. They were. They were up. I believe too well a couple years ago, obviously when they when they church off that series, but It's not anything that act like all is lost. But coming off of a drubbing like that, you know, we'll see a game Game three. They can move the professional players that get paid to hope to if they can. Rally and Mustard rally behind Janette, potentially, But you know, we'll know a lot after the 1st 1st quarter in Game three. It's kind of a common theme of the NBA playoffs this year, superstars that might not be surrounded by enough talent to really break through. We're looking at this. Maybe with the honest in Milwaukee. We saw this with Luca in Dallas. We're looking at this with Damian Lillard in Portland. When it comes to Terry starts getting fired in Portland. Do you think that's part of the solution? Or is that just escape goat? Because there's nothing else they can really do with that roster. I mean, look at them today, You know, small market teams obviously faced a lot more difficulties being able to compete with the big name juggernauts in this league. But yeah, the game is the game. So guys gotta move and shake. And you know we saw with what Katie did when he joined the Warriors back in 2017 or 2060. Excuse me. It kind of just it kind of just shifted the league around. And now even you know, a roster would like LeBron and the A D. They need one more. You know, Quien PG could probably use one more. Luca is playing. Basically, you know, one on five out there in Dallas, like I think you're going to start to see guys really kind of just loading the deck to be able to compete with this net squad because you know if this while coming back the way it's composed next year, who Who's going to stop that with the healthy hard? Healthy, Kyrie healthy Katie. That's a That's a big three. But that's like a big three on steroids. That's on a whole another level. You're talking about any one of those guys to play the MVP caliber. Any one of those guys can be the finals M v p, you know, obviously hardening KD have been MVPs Chi replayed in the finals MVP level of 2016. It is a crew that you know guys are going to have to start making the business decisions and decide they just want to play and obviously get the Supermax and get that big check or they're gonna have to join forces and maybe sacrifice a little bread to be able to put a winning products out there. Mm. That's interesting. Josiah Johnson joins us this morning on the show from out of pocket. NBA analyst formerly played the U. C L A joining us this morning here on the show in the West last night, the sons had a wonderful night. And this should be really fun Series between the Nuggets of the sons but very obviously. Something has happened with DeAndre 8 2010 again last night. What has maybe the addition of Chris Paul unlocked with eight and that we hadn't seen since he was drafted number one overall in the previous couple of years. DeAndre had a solid season last year, obviously got suspended for like 20 plus games for that whole issue, and really, if he would have been suspended last year, I think then the sons are playoff team. Was playing inspired basketball in the bubble believe went eight. No right just missed down on getting that a seed. There, So it wasn't like this is a complete shock or anything like that in the CP, three, obviously what he did with the thunder last year when he was able to do with the sun this year. I mean, just coming in. And these guys, you know a real difference maker. He gets a lot of flak for the injuries and even obviously and the series against the Lakers. He went down to the shoulder and it looks up because you know those guys that is the string of bad luck throughout his playoff live. But this team is just playing well. You got to give them all the credit. I'm a big LeBron Lakers stand but to see what they did to that's what, even with an injured a D, you know it was. It was really just You're looking almost like the changing of the guard Devin Booker stepping up I'm obviously being able to work with Kobe Bryant, another good friend of mine and teammate. He used to like Earl Watson, who had coached him in kind of the the tough days with the sons. But Earl speaks so highly of book and just how hard he works and how much he loves the game and the craft. Getting buckets. Earl did a lot of things early on, like, let them stay in that game against Boston getting 70 piece that just really helped build his confidence. What I think you're saying now, but Cp three has a squad together. I think he was kind of that mystic pieces they needed, Aidan. Playing at a high high level. That's what you want to see. When guys step up and get to the playoffs. They've got to really elevate their game. Another notch in Aden is doing that he's looking like, you know, dominant threatened. He's going to be a guy that force to be reckoned with for years to come in the NBA. Funny with the Jazz. They've had such a great season. They've been so good offensively and defensively, and you don't want to ever discredit that. But there's always this. Yeah, but how great are they? Really? Because they don't have a superstar, And you and I are having this conversation about having the Central Point superstars. So are you all in on the jazz? Because they play so well together or do you have a year, but When it comes to a a series against Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. I mean, you never obviously want to disrespect the team. But even looking at the sun than the Jazz this year dominating the West, it seemed like that was more result of kind of bubble fatigue from some of the other squads. Y and P g coming off that big game seven win against the Mavs. It seems like they got the monkey off their back now after last year on the 31 lead to the Nuggets in the bubble, I think this is a squad. Yeah, You never want to count out. Obviously we have a saying in the Clippers Don't clip But they didn't end up being in the case around one, so you know, but again, this is kind of like the sun's gua going up against the Lakers. It seems like you know, it's just that juggernaut and you know, everybody picked the Lakers to win and the Sun's proceeded to smack him. So I wouldn't put it past the Jazz to be able to do that sequence. Snyder was playing or coaching at a coach of the year level. Donovan Mitchell and Go bear are you know you can't come super Sorry, but they're definitely stars that need to be respected in the rest of that squad..

I mean you know just little wiggle in your walk and not get you're asking for or call the failure or whatever it that's what that's it was for me. It was a place to go and breeds and and see my friends and get laid and party fun. I mean that's that's what it was. And but you and i both know that it was never that easy. I mean we. You know we were still facing so much homophobia and stuff and like you know even in the nineties like it was still kind of a little bit top new you know to queer and you know go to the gay bars and stuff so i mean it hasn't been as like this free open atmosphere like it is now you know what i mean. So even in the midst of us breathing we were still a tight. You know what i mean whereas hopefully now with the kids and hopefully they can realize this. They can breeze and it's because we were uncomfortable. You know what i mean like. Yeah i mean we had some some little pockets of safety there. Were you know like we ho midtown in atlanta there were neighborhoods that it was a little bit easier to walk down the street holding your boyfriend's hand yes or to go to dinner with a group of five somewhat effeminate men and not have everybody stare at you. Yeah for the most part. That was not the case for the most part. The bars were the only place we could interact on that level and not be putting up facades and pretending that we were not gay or we were in a part of the mainstream culture. Was exactly what i'm talking about. Exactly and i can in regards to how it fed my career like i said it's it's been for the gays since the very beginning i have. It's the support of the gays. That lifted me up that Gave me the confidence to do what i do so i mean it's all because of that. No it's not certainly not because of any straight us supported me. It's all it's all because of the gays and it will always be for.

Play in both of their locations nashville and louisville in hydrate and chicago river city cabaret in jacksonville southern nights orlando and parliament house in orlando south beach in houston texas and a number of hamburger. Mary's locations so yeah and there's more to those are just like you know off the top of my head all right. let's talk about the parliament. House i went to the parliament house in orlando far before drag race. I mean a decade decade for drag race and worked with dr sell stevens and her original cast and visited there many many times over the years with as for cast rotated out with different people including like sassy divine still in Who still down there. In orlando and mike good friend. Who was a stage manager there. Christopher guy and list of people goes on. it's just you know. The parliament houses a very special animal. They had a showroom had a leather bar. They had a video bar. They had a cool and a motel attached so it was the den of iniquity. And you know. I i stopped going down there after i got with my partner adam because it was you know you get in trouble down there. When you're a single person. But i tell you i had some great times there with some great people. I've met some long lasting friendships. They're done some great shows was honored enough to have my picture. Hang on that wall right there next to the stage when you walk in from the dressing room. So you know. There's not any one thing from the p. house it's just it's an overall experience and it was a really magical place in. It's it's so sad we lost it. It's it's level now as. I'm sure that you know but that i will always. That's one thing that that's place at all always say p. house..

"Tickling are are gay muscles as young men. So i was a big fan of hers and you know was a very theatrical child. So always dressing up as one thing not always drag. You know it was. It was e- it was any number of things you know dressing as a kid. But you know when it came to a point where i wanted to star impersonating. Madonna was obviously my go-to and i just couldn't pull it off. I just don't have the facial structure for we tried. We tried we tried. We tried so My drag mother hunter really wanted to help me get into the show that the dreamgirls review so he put me in drag a share the first time and that's where it all started You know i. I knew of share watched sonny and cher growing up but You know madonna was my first choice so my relationship was share. Has it's been one. That's grown over the years. And it's been a learning process in a labor of love. And you kinda you kinda work with what you've got in this industry especially when you want to do lookalikes so you go with who you look like and My drag mother helped me find my way and find my lookalike among many other things now after the dreamgirls experience a major turning point in your career was working at lacoste in a show featuring celebrity impersonators. What was that experience like so early in your career. Well i joined in. I joined the caution Ninety seven and i ended up Leaving ninety nine it was at the time the pinnacle of you know every drag queens career aspirations You know the majority of drag at that time was you know either pageant drag or impersonation so if you wanted to work if you wanted to have a career and make money you you really you know at that time. Wanted to have look like you're about so you know it was a dream. Come true to get the job. I actually did a. I did a contest a few months before. I was hired at the rivera in las vegas and it was the causes something anniversary talent search and i think i took first runner up. And so that kind of put me in their in their sights and then there was an incident with one of the entertainers and he got fired and that that laid my my spot open. And so i joined like i said in ninety seven and i stayed there for about a year and a half. It was very exciting. It was A lot of work we did. Fourteen shows a week a two nights a week. We had three shows I was doing celine dion and share in the show and It was a great training ground for for really doing your characters because if you're in a regular drag show you're doing your character and then you're doing comedy number and you're doing a dance number. You're not focusing on one. So i got a chance to focus on one thing while i was there. Which was my look-alikes end. you know. I started honing my makeup honing my performance skills even more and for me..

FOF #2896 Peaches Christ and the Witches of East Bay - burst 01
"When you're a drag queen yard time less well at least until your weight starts to break down and your makeup start crack at the end of the night. But time comes for us all even the most legendary drag queens and that doesn't always have to be a scary thing. One of our favorite movies is the witches of Eastwick, which pits three icons, shares, Susan Sarandon, and Michelle pfeiffer against the devil himself as they turned to witchcraft to manage the midlife crisis today San Francisco drag. IMPRESARIO, peaches, Christ chats with us about opening up her vaults of drag parodies for an incident viewing party of her show. The witches of East Bay where Peaches Coco Peru and Chad michaels take a look at what happens when three drag legends get older and a world dominated by pesky drag Queens plus why do J. K. Rowling and other high profile celebrities come out against trans. Inclusion eighties gay icons that became TV commercials, spokespersons and look at the amazing life of Drag Queen Hegi leg. I'm Fausto for no I'm Mark Zalin and this is feast. Five. Before we begin. Let's listen to the trailer for a peaches crisis the witches of East Spe starring Coca, Peru Chad Michaels and Thomas Dekker. You know when you're young queen and you don't understand anything everything's really confusing. CONTOURING and Tucking. You think that when you grow up and become a seasoned queen, that's GonNa make sense and. Still waiting for that day. That day ever come I've discovered that when you're truly fully relaxed, you can open your eyes and see what the world has in store for you. For me, my eyes are most open after I've enjoyed a hot steaming cup of celestial seasonings tension Tamer to. What do you? It's a short life isn't it? We all have fears. Sometimes I i. look in the Mirror and I see everything disintegrating faster and faster. A long career in drag is not for the week. Just burned my mouth. So fucking badly you know life may be short for some. But even if there's like a nuclear Holocaust, I plan on sticking around and partying with the cockroaches not really afraid of death that doesn't mean I don't have fears. You know what I see see snakes like hundreds of them and they're like crawling all over me and then disappear I'm just not there anymore it's really trippy. I don't mind the growing old or that it's a short lifer, the snakes or any of that the the pain that scares me I don't know why there needs to be so much pain in the world often caused by anonymous trolls commenting on social media. Deal the deck. Down here we just. Play the sandwiches. Hello. Hi. Peaches. Christ. Yes it is. What's Your scariest movie? Nights scariest. Say, what's your favorite scary movie. Well that's a nightmare on ELM street. One. I had a really scary movie. It's called the Selfie on my phone. On my God and I take my clothes off and I look into it. And I see myself growing old OH. Oh I used to be an atheist, but then I realized I was a sex God. But now on a sex card decline and nobody wants to worship at my temple. Because I've been stuck at home during covert quarantine. No one loves me anymore, not even myself. How are you doing today peaches? I I was doing fine a moment ago. I. Just I don't even know what was. Not sure. Well, we're kind of like thinking about you you have. Your opening your your default. Clearing the COBWEBS and showing the audiences, what they are throughout the world with really want is some of your productions that you've done over the years you during the witches of East Bay which. You know play on the witches of Eastwick, which kind of deals with. Women of a certain age and how they feel. That that's what you doing. Accuser. So used to hear that all the time this leg. I thought that you were just like you know any the the average gay guy going through his. You know mid life crisis. Interesting thing right. 'cause we live in a consumer society and we sort of been making money or being taught or whatever to not embrace aging and to look at the aging palace as something to be feared. Sometimes. Abhorred emphasis on the. When. You're eighteen. They'll tell you when you're over twenty six nobody wants you then you need S. Over thirty nobody wants you then your early thirties forties death if you're gay and then this comes you know the goal and then you get those ages and you're just like I'm just as fierce as I was back then. Yeah I mean in some in some ways. I would argue that maybe you're fiercer. I think that well, culturally right it's it's not in every culture. Is there sort of this idea of growing old being a bad thing, but it's definitely an American idea for sure or Western young and then I think if you are queer especially a gay man, you know we we adopted so many of the worst parts of. Misogyny. And so we apply that to each other and then I i. Yeah. I think for a lot of queer men sadly. It's a real thing. It's a real problem. Well, it even like in talking about intergenerational relationships or even like you know if you are somebody who is above the age of thirty and you're at a bar and you start flirting with somebody, you know this is the thing is like a lot of these twenty year old tw- inks are hit me on the hookup APPs but out in public, there are like there goes all thousand. And I met you were sending me or Dick Pic last week are you talking to your little secrets? We go out in public. Worrying a mask. Anymore. I'm really loving the mask culture because finally. People to see my face and they can. Say. They just don't even see it. Well, it's like it's like a facelift in sunway tooth kissing goodbye nobody knew. What you're doing you're you're giving into those those ideas of you know this negative ideas about aging. This is about like you know for years we've heard Middle Eastern women. I really like hiding my face and feels very comfortable. People are after. Them they not to stare at me Yes yes. Yes. We're the mask sunglasses like ray bans with mirrors on them and sometimes even a little bike helmet or a hat. So I'm basically just a robot out perfect on everybody just staring at you know staring at anything I want without repercussions about like when you're like totally like staring at a guy is like in you're wearing the mask he can't see when you like licking your lips underneath the mash. Literally drooling once in a while might might mask. The wetness comes through but. Like little, otherwise they how do they know and this is a this is good for straight men to know this like when you're not when you're a straight guy and you think you're too cool for the mask, all of us gaze wearing masks we're just. Per serving on you so hard. With that information. Jim and I see this guy and I'm just like Oh my God he's so bad. He's just like. A moment your way and I'm just like, yes. In the way my heart. Yeah it's true. You're right. You're right. That we should we should probably get back to the which is. How generous of you? To open the show with such such an amazing plug for this upcoming online screening that we're doing, and it's true that that show in a way was about I mean I talked to cocoa and chat about the fact that we were. Older Queens and that that's what the show was going to be about. So you're right. That is what the show is about. It's about is this all there is kind of thing but he ever since I've known Coco Cocos characters been this cool hip tell it like it is. You know Aunty in the Bronx who's like doesn't Old Lady for thirty years and this is why we called got dress up in drag I. think at least for me when I was in my early twenties, it was like, Hey, you can be whoever you want to be for the rest of your life as long as you can get a shake and go wig like Coca Peru and. They'll make it. How did you get cocoa to like actually change wigs because you know she's wearing Like she has. A demented Jan Brady. I guess I get you. We this was the first show. We've ever done together and we had been. In some comedy shows together doing drag Queens of comedy and she passing Lee said like, why haven't you ever asked me to be in one of your shows and I was like Well I mean you never I I I just can't imagine
