We've had some showers float through here and supposedly in the next hour or two we're going to see some big stuff developing could be floating through here, and we'll be getting hit again like we were yesterday. So indeed. But right now, I don't see anything. A massive coming our direction. We were wall to wall yesterday. Yeah. I know I had to well. I would have had a tornado near Texas women's university, Denton county, your hometown, your stomping grounds and blow anything away of value to you. I got home. My drive home was one of the more pleasant drives. Really I've had and I got home and everything seemed fine. Okay. Well, that's good. That's good. Safe. Other people that sucks, but for me glad I was okay. EF's zero or an f one tornado the one you wanna live. Yeah. That's the one. "Brennan, along with our surly, millennial Chad Dickson and Bill Barnette doing his part is our technical and musical director to keep the broadcast on the air the five at five the big stories coming up in just about ten minutes or fifteen minutes from now, I'm going to go back to July. We saw that flooded cave and Thailand and the world was gripped with concern for these young boys who are trapped in this cave. Divers went in they finally were able to put a plan together after a while. And we were told that the kids were learning how to dive how to scuba how to do all these things. So they could get through the cave because it wasn't going to be an easy exit. It was like a big tunnel that went up and down underwater outside the water, etc. Parents were told they were being taught how to dive the media reported each of them would be tethered to an air hose and then swim out with one rescue diver in front and another behind according to a new book that was untrue. After the rescue the boys. It was revealed we're giving an anti anxiety medication to help with their removal from the cave. But what happened was they were given ketamine? Okay. What is that ketamine will knock you out? It's a it's a date rape type drug. It's stuff used in it stuff used to. It's like propofol. It's stuff that you shares to knock somebody out to operate on them. Okay. They were handcuffed behind their backs to stop them from ripping they're tightly fitted face masks. If they woke up they didn't want them. They were in these bags. Yeah. These canvas. And if they ripped a face mask off, there's nothing you guys can do. They just drown. Yeah. So they had them handcuffed behind their backs. The hands behind the backs they're on ketamine. And they dragged them out that way, those who would have been inside the flooded tunnels knew. There was no way a kid who had never died before could make it through the muddy and treacherous. Obstacle course. The only hope was to sedate them put oxygen fed mask with silicone seals on. On their faces and let the expert divers carry them out. I is it bad that I'm fine with this. No, no this. Okay. This is not this is not necessarily a bad thing. Look all the kids are fine. And they're very grateful. And that's the way it. It's just I don't know why they didn't tell everybody this to begin with. Why do they hide the secret saying, yes, we're teaching the kids how to dive? So they'll be participating in their own rescue is against because instead they wanted. They didn't want to tell the media. No, we're not going to do any of that the easiest thing to do is to handcuff them. Yeah. And dope them to their gills. So they can't even think straight or open their eyes. Yeah. Take him on a two hour journey that way, the first boy to be taken out was fourteen years old was given a sedative then was injected with ketamine and each leg he was then handcuffed and had cables placed around his wrist and tied behind him. He was blessed. He was absolutely unconscious. This was to ensure that if he woke up from his ketamine slumber, he wouldn't try to rip off his face mask, which would have pretty much guaranteed. He would have drowned. Yeah. So they went through the first flooded chamber in a harness strapped to another diver. The fourteen year old was medically checked to make sure that he hadn't been overdosed on ketamine. The two biggest dangerous underwater where the boy waking up and panicking or his mass leaking and turning that plastic and silicone bubble of life over his face into a death trap providing because he couldn't have done. Anything about has his hands are tied behind his back. And literally in that case. Officials have disclosed at the team's rescue almost ended in tragedy after a main pump malfunction sending water into the caverns as their remaining rescuers were still trying to get them out. But the and one of the early rescuers died because he ran out of oxygen. So there you go. It wasn't quite as clean as it might have seen ketamine. Yeah. I look if if I'm what if if that's me and there, and they say, look, this is the best option. We don't think you're mentally strong enough to handle this I go I couldn't have handled it. Let's do it. I would have had claustrophobia so bad. I could not I don't think I could have remained calm. I would have panicked as long as I would have been George Costanza at the kid's birthday party. When the fire broke out. I feel like I don't think you would have bothered me that much. It's not that tight. I mean, if they can maneuver. Of a flatbed through it..

"Ernie Brown are certainly millennial Chad Dickson and Bill Barnett are musical and technical director doing his part to keep broadcast on the air. It's amazing. How one day changes everything, of course. Yesterday Halloween today, November I nobody even remembers it was Halloween yesterday. Because now we're thinking about thanksgiving and Christmas it's already time to get the lights up. Our house already decorated for fall. It was all Halloween decked out the great thing about Halloween thanksgiving. You really just got to get rid of certain pumpkins can keep some people few keep a few. Just none that are very hallowing oriented. I've never been one to put a pumpkin on my front porch to fall. I know, you know, you get rid of those, but you can keep him around the house because they are very fall. You have pumpkin pie thanksgiving like pumpkin pie. I think it's an overrated pie. We're here to power rank the pies, I think I think it's somewhere in the middle. Are we power ranking pies here because I'll go with my my my nieces strawberry pie top on my list. Fake news, apple and cherry or by two favorites. I think those are those are rather shocking. I take chocolate or peanut butter pies. Never had chocolate or peanut butter. Poxy? Sounds quite good. Oh, absolutely. Okay. Gosh. No wonder you have such a terrible ranking. You've never had anything. Good. I don't I never been much for pastries or. Con con pies fake news a lot of people like key line. I don't get it. It seems like it's just a giant puff ball of fluff. Yeah. I'm not into that either. I don't like anything. That's too jelly. Like, I need to have some half to it. I understand real meat and potatoes type. All right. The peanut butter pie is the game changer. I've never had that he's homeboy make one for me. I don't think so somebody make one for me bring it in. A listener can do that. No. That'd be fantastic. I'd rather you. I'd rather. I'd rather have the picture of you wearing the apron and a kitchen slaving over a hot stove and putting one together for me love it. I'll ask my niece. Maybe.

"Early brown. Chad Dickson Bill Barnett doing his part to keep broadcast on the technical and musical director. And fortunately, we were able to get him out of the truck before he rammed our studio. This morning. A little bit of a contract problem there, don't give me the ideas. I'm not going to let me play something for you. This is the chief of Twitter, which I by the way, I if you haven't gotten it clear over the last few months, I despise Twitter. I just hated sky's the head of square, you know, about square to he's also the chair and founder of that. What is it Donau? They'll sell an extra title on C span. Okay. Here we go we found ourselves unprepared and ill equipped for the immensity of the problems that we've acknowledged he's talking about fake news and Russians and all sorts of silly stuff. Like that that we all know and love we found ourselves unprepared and ill-equipped for the immensity of the problems that we've acknowledged. Abuse harassment troll, armies propaganda through bots and human coordination misinformation campaigns and divisive filter bubbles. That's not a healthy public square. Worse a relatively small number of bad faith actors were able to gain Twitter to have an outsized impact. Our interests are aligned with the American people and this committee. I think a little league team could out game Twitter. What I say shut it down problem solve a lot of people have invested money in that company. I don't like it. Because of exactly the things he said, yeah, he knows what's wrong. I doubt. If he does it use the Twitter account doesn't check it. I would he I said something else too. He said Twitter Twitter. Trump is not immune from being kicked off Twitter. If we decide what he's doing is hate speech. Great. And I thought to myself that is the only thing that I heard either one of these tech people say today that I think is important. I wish they would kick him off. I wish they would kick Trump off of Twitter because I want to watch the collapse of CNN and MSNBC would know would have nothing to report. They're talking had Brady bunch like panel shows would have nothing to discuss cried. If I was Twitter, I would say also it's a threat to. National security him being on there. If someone were to hack in we can't one hundred percent guarantee that somebody can't hack in uses account declare war on North Korea. Like that. You're right. Yeah. Say we we decided it'd be best to take him off. Just so we're not liable for anything now. Oh, I I think that's actually an excellent idea. You know, the Spanish American war the the story about hoping you're going to go back. Spanish-american war was something that the Hearst newspapers kind of ginned up and they wanted to Hearst newspapers William Randolph Hearst newspapers. He owned newspapers everywhere back in the turn of the century. And Dade kind of ginned the fewer are for the war. Okay. And we have a different version of that. Now, if people wanted to misuse these platforms, and if I were an actor outside of the United States, and I'm not talking about a stage your film actor. I'm talking about a country or a dictator or something. And I wanted to bring chaos and so- chaos. I would do exactly what these people are doing because look at us. What have they done? They've sowed chaos. The people who hate the president are just accepting any and everything that comes to them based from these foreign actors and and taken that ball and expanding. On it. All you have to do is create that division and sit back and watch the fun. All you have to do is get enough people to hear the wrong information. And suddenly, you have the Spanish American war. Great. Yeah. I'm serious this there. I know that seems like an extreme situation. But that's the power of information because let's be honest. Most people don't follow this stuff, and they don't know really where to go to get actual information anymore because I don't trust most of these media outlets. I try to find a grain or a kernel of truth and something, you know, a unit obviously, watch this stuff more than most. Yeah. And I always wonder if you do watch it more than most you think know that a lot of people now are saying social media is that the greatest thing in the world. No, it's not at a lot of people are just getting off of it. But I wonder if the average person knows about that knows that a lot of these talking heads. Now, you see on TV are action saying, you know, this isn't that great of a thing for us. This can only hurt you. We've seen the people I use the example and Star Wars specific the one Kelly Marie TRAN who's in Star Wars. She's the first Asian Asian American to be leading character. She gets all this hate mail a racist to or they say, she sucks, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. She gets off of it. She this was her dream dream dream job. Yeah. And just because she took the role and a lot of people didn't like it one of them. I didn't like the character. But I don't care about them. I don't I'm not going to be mean to a person. She's just playing a character. She gets off that I think a lot of people are getting bullied online. And hopefully, even the low information voter as they say is slowly, but surely realizing, I don't think. I know. That's what I'm asking. Don't think they are do they know that a lot of these people. I would say these talking heads are now considering getting off of it. I be surprised that anybody really knows. Because there still is this knee-jerk reaction to what you see and read the taking a step back. Pausing for a moment and say now, wait a minute as most I think reasonable people would do when you see some outrageous headline, especially in the two thousand sixteen election. He saw these outrageous headlines and on Facebook, and I I used to sit back and look at immediately go see what is the source for this. Anybody else have this story? This is crap and delete. I don't want to ever see a post from this this organization again. So I think I have a fairly pristine Paul feed of of news stories. I I don't get a lot of the the garbage that most people get, but the reality of it is no, I don't think most people do that. I think we have now been wrapped up in. In our own ideas, so much so that now it's an emotional wellbeing thing, I've got to find something that justifies what I think how many what percentage of the US population. Do you think is a actual high information voter? I'm just using that term. I depend on. How you define it. That's the problem. I hear I hear that term used low information voter all the time. And I think that you know, I I don't buy into that. I think that's a stupid term to use. Because you're low information I may have low information, but it doesn't mean I'm wrong. What what exactly it depends on whatever the issue is just because I'm low information doesn't mean I'm wrong about something. I what I'm trying to figure out is how many people actually understand what issues this this is just litmus one how congress works how how laws how things are made into law. Yeah. House rock. Yeah. We did back again. Senator SAS brought that up in Nebraska. Yeah. Schoolhouse rock. Yeah. But that's what I always wonder. I mean, plenty of people around me. I, you know, every time they do this man on the street you, and I always talk about these people are clearly just regurgitating what they heard passing by.

"Eighteen minutes after the top of the hour. Thank you for being here Chad Dickson, also, joining us in the newsroom, and of course Bill Barnett our tech up and. Musical director doing his part keep the broadcasts. From going down the old toilet there all right Elliot back to this duck boat thing I have some audio from this guy this boat sank seventeen people. Die on, this thing it's it's. A car really that can go on the water. It's a boat and car and they're. Kind of cool looking. And, they're kind of. Fun to. Ride in on land I rode one in Seattle across lake Washington. And I gotta tell. You I always felt like it was a. Choppy day I felt like it felt, unstable to me it just. Kind of felt like it, was swaying an awful lot and the little water splashed in a little bit and everybody kind of laughed. About that but I I don't like that I don't want. Water to splashing on the boat I wanna be, on the cruise ship I, wanna be luxury yeah I do too all. Right here's a witness who said this started out like any other, tour the conditions were fine it's just like any. Day in the Ozarks those storms can come out, of anywhere and They do frequently there was. Other boats on the lake at the time private boats you could see them, in the video and you could also see they were. The first. Ones, out there to start doing the. Rescuing and here he is one the boat started having. Some problems once we saw it. Start taking water through the. Fry we knew nothing was going. Good from there and then, it started taking water from the back right corner and then just stuff went downhill from. There yeah that's what eventually sank it, it, just took on too much, water in a capsized he always wanted just get. Out of the boat is quick as you. Can fill up you know what's what's interesting about that is watching the video I kind of expected somebody to jump out the side but you know something. I don't, know who would do. That though when you think about it I'm on. A boat and yes we're taking on. Water but the last. Thing, I wanna do. Is now. Get out into that water that is looks like there's a hurricane. On it I mean. We have surf out there on a lake. And this is not this massive lake then You're also jumping. Next to a big thing that could hit you a knock you out that's true I mean you really gotta be hopefully at the. Back of the bus I mean there would be a lot. Of thing if that's me hopefully you never know unless. You're in that situation but there's and I'm sure that's why I didn't jump out because the the boats rocking all over the place yes it seems. Like, it's going one direction but. It may not have felt like it was going one. Direction somebody may have thought hey if I jump out this way the waves could push. The boat this way could hit me or the wheels underneath. That are propelling the boat or wherever the engine is, propelling I could run into it it's really it's a I think. This is so many people? Died because this is a freak, thing you're kind of, trapped you don't know what to do and I don't know that anybody could have been I don't know if anybody was wearing. Life jackets, or not I don't know if that was, a requirement I know when I use. It Yeah, when I use the duck boat that one time that I needed. I they didn't ask, us, to put one on and I, thought that would have been probably a law thing you know if the boat is a certain size but you know it's funny everybody just loves. Those duck boats you'd see. One and, everybody it's, like seeing the blimp flying overhead oh look there's the blimp everybody's gotta stop..

"Eleven minutes before the top of the hour thank you so much for being here attorney brown chad dickson bill bar net he's handling the technical duties doing his part keep this broadcast rights on the air right now all right now i have some outer space news i wanted to get to because i find this kind of stuff really interesting ever since i got that telescope when i was nine years old and we focused where we thought saturn was and we saw this tiny little blob of light with two little blobs on either side of it i said i got to learn more about this all right now you're gonna go back to nineteen seventy six on this there was something our first landing on mars was by something called the viking lander now i don't know if you remember this or not if you've ever seen the pictures maybe this is before your time but the viking lander was the first time we actually landed on mars and we got pictures back and they were color pictures and they were amazing really at the time you know you're looking at these things in time magazine newsweek they're just all over the world people are looking at these pictures of the surface of mars and everybody's saying it's amazing and the viking lander actually had this little machine in it that would dig into the dirt and then put the dirt in this little tray and then it would test if there was any organic and any organic material in other words they were looking for life on mars funday yeah it was pretty cool to you and we were so disappointed to find out that there was nothing it was just dirt they found no evidence of life whatsoever will now all these years later with our advanced technology we go back that was forty two years ago which is really amazing when you think about it that they were able to do that back then we find out now that because the nature of that little box and how it tested the dirt because the last mission to march they found things that they thought were organic in nature but they would be destroyed by the heat and they found that that little box may have destroyed some building block of life because of the heat that it used to determine if there was any life on the surface of mars we're really bad at science be kind of har so they're thinking the viking lander might have actually killed something instead of finding life the heat was what killed at which i don't buy for a second because i didn't buy this last nasa announced about how they found this building block of life just looking for money to fund and other bs traps yeah exactly well they're not be cool i i'm all for we should spend money this guy is huge i'm all about it yeah but don't give me this nonsense i don't need it all right i tell you every time they say they have a big announcement about something they've discovered in outer space possible life it's because funding time is nearby but to me it's like so you're trying to get more money from me by telling you that when i've given you money in the past you've failed to use it properly yeah and you failed to find anything which tells me maybe we should spend the money closer to home you're not really you're not really selling me why did he give you more money when you're telling me you've been bad at your job in the past until the that's a good way to put it yeah until he actually come to me and say hey we found this guy and there's a little martian in the camera there he said we probably should go up there and see if there's more of the things they have found anything like that but now we find out that the viking lander might have killed i might have killed some life there's a big old lizard just accidentally killed got put in the little heat and that was the.
