"The Maisonette with Kevin Nation. I saw a celebrity news item the other day that I just shook my head actress Jessica. Alba was talking about the fact that when she was on with the Hills 90210 back in the early nineties mid-nineties. She was on just starting out in her career and was on as a kind of a guest actress for a couple of episodes and was instructed not to make eye contact with any of the Stars either behind the scenes are while on camera earlier this year. We heard all about the backstage world of the Ellen DeGeneres television show where people aren't allowed to make eye contact with her either and I just kind of shake my head. I've actually heard that through the country music off for a couple of artists. I won't name them cuz they're still going strong and I don't know if it's actually true but they've said you weren't supposed to make eye contact with them backstage unless you were told to it's just kind of sad to me I contact is very important. Let them know you respect them. You acknowledge them and you can make eye contact without going any further. It's kind of a sign respect released. I think it is but I think we're going to see more and more of those about Bad actors if you will about bad celebrities because right now that's the world we're living in bath.

"Off The show, I don't know that I'll even be able to get a real job because of all the things that have been filmed about me, so there's a lot that goes into it, but I mean you yeah, you know being on reality TV it. It's not for the week. It is not for the week at all. It is not for the week and I. Feel like okay. WHAT'S THE ALTERNATIVE? You're going to go off of it after you've been on reality. TV for like eleven or twelve years. It's like at that point. The damage is done. Like so you keep. Contributing to this cycle of the damage because it's like damn, I mean it's basically people. Ask me now they're like. Why don't you walk away now? And I said I literally said what you just said when Joe text me last week. Have you ever considered walking away I said? Anything like now I feel like I'm more knowledgeable than ever, and so I know what what I shouldn't shouldn't do. You know what I'm saying and so the damage all the Shitty Shit that I've done and all the things that I shouldn't have filmed and all the things I shouldn't have said is already out there so now. I can only try to do better moving forward, but I'm not going to walk away. When the damage is already done exactly what you just said it's it's insane and I think that again. It's situation also you have to be in the situation to understand the situation you know. You've been place in that So anyway, while we actually have a listener message It came through on our instagram and I. Promise Girl Than We would cover it, so I'm just GonNa. Read this one. Really quickly it says Lindsay Kale message you a few weeks ago. With how much I love you, guys and I think I told you about my wedding that I couldn't be more happy I got to marry the absolute love of my life on June. Thirteenth I'm twenty and my husband is twenty one I have no regret, and I couldn't imagine being with a better man, but I'm finding myself sadder almost depressed due to my age when I tell people about being married, and if they find out, I'm only twenty I feel so judged and look down on. On. It's so hard because I know how good he is for me and how I wouldn't want live any other way, but I can't shake this feeling of being sad. I know you both have been, or I know you both have been or Armenia. Read by so bad I'm struggling also started my new anxiety meds around the wedding and I. Don't know if it could be affecting me. Also this is the first time I've ever been on any sort of anxiety medication. I love you, guys. Your podcast gets me through some of my late my hardest as Well thank you so much for the message and I'm glad that we could help all of our shit show shenanigans. I was also married at twenty and had. I I don't know that I really felt judged. I think now looking back at it. I realized how young I was and why people could have potentially judged me for it. It's of those things where I feel like you can't let other people's opinions like other other people's opinions impact. How, you live your daily life, if you're happy with being married, and and that sort of thing than their opinions don't really matter I mean. Personally I can't imagine being married right now. Anyone in my space. But Lindsay. You were married young, too. So how do you feel yeah? I got married I. Think I was twenty one. and. Looking back on it now I think that. I don't know that I would have changed anything I think that everything happens for a a reason and I fully believe that You have experiences in your life for reason, so I think that was literally my destiny to to do that however. Looking back on the situation I think that I was so naive to to certain things. And what marriage actually meant, and I think it's so easy to be. Young and in love and not experienced in life, and to think okay. This is the right thing for me to do at that time, but I think that. People need to understand that marriage is supposed to be a lifelong commitment, and when you're making that choice. Maybe twenty one was too young for me to make that choice. Okay, so that's what? I figured that's where you're going with it. And that's what I was going to say. Next is the people that are judging her are probably. Thinking that she was too young to make that choice and I and I. Don't think they mean they're probably not even realizing they're doing it, but they also probably don't realize that some people have to make that choice in order to see the bigger picture right like if I never got married at twenty I would not know. and. Later divorce I would not know what I want in a marriage, and what I don't want to marriage, and really what what marriage entails and what it involves. You know what I'm saying like think. I I would be going into a marriage at thirty years old, blind and not know what to expect. Where like now I? I was married for five years I know. What what that's going to require of me and I, think when people when older people do it. They just don't realize that. Sometimes younger people need to make that decision. Sometimes it's best for them, and sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn't, but they needed to make that decision at the time in order to take the next up in their life. Whatever that may be so i. don't really understand the whole judgement. Thing I mean like you said earlier. We're in twenty twenty I. Don't know why anyone's judging anything. It's like everything goes right so whatever you're doing. Your Business I'm going to say on my side of the fence. You stay on yours. I merge into your lane. Do my own thing I. don't care WHO's getting married. WHO's getting divorced? WHO's shacking up? WHO's doing? Whatever like? I do not care you know but that's probably where the judgment is coming from is just from longer time of life, wisdom and more knowledge but if you're happy, then you know, stay happy, stay, committed and good luck So anyway, we'll that looks like. That's all we have time for today Kale 'cause. We're over our our. So we will next week, I'm going to read what I posted on my story about Labor stories. Okay Okay Yeah next week we can do that and that's perfect because I am actually going to post a picture of Kale in her fan, which is half of coffee condos on instagram this week and I want you guys to guess win kills going. Have the baby. It's a fun game because I think. I think I know when it's GonNa Happen. Like my gut tells me but I'm not GonNa say it on here. You'RE GONNA come. Kim Kardashian Goes on Tweet Storm Against Taylor Swift

"Oh my God. It's only been one day since I reported on the Kanye West Taylor swift phone call situation and I'm already like Oh fatigued by like it was fun yesterday and now. I'm just like really. We're still talking about this. Maybe it's because they didn't have coffee today. Maybe it's because we're in the middle of a pandemic but yesterday it was fun today. It is emotional. Labor and I will be invoicing Kim Kardashian and Taylor swift and Kanye West for my countless hours. Spent thinking about phone call gate anyway. Kim Kardashians like freaking out on twitter. She's like posting up a tweet storm about this Why is tweeting about it? I think she she's like upset. That Taylor posted an instagram story. So let me I tell you Taylor Swift's instagram post Taylor posted on her story writing quote instead of answering those who are asking how I feel about video footage that was leaked proving that I was telling the truth the whole time about that call. You know the one that was illegally recorded that somebody edited and manipulated in order to frame me and put me my family and fans through hell for four years. Swipe up to see what really matters. And then if you swiped up you were sent to a link to donate to corona virus relief. I mean I don't have a major problem with this. I don't know Taylor's has barely like correct in what she's saying but she's capitalizing off of a major celebrity news story in order to give money to people who need it right now which listen. I don't hate. I totally support that. I think honestly more celebrities. Should we doing that right now? Anyway clearly this ticked Kim Kardashian off Kim went on a tweet rant after she saw Taylor doing mostly like an act of good and before I get into Kim's tweet storms have to speculate. Is Kim Jealous? That Taylor swift is like raising more money from her. Fans for Corona virus than Kim is like Kim Kardashian. As we all know famously is generously donating twenty percent of her shape. Wear line profits to corona virus relief but like my personal conspiracy theory. Is that not a single person has purchased shape. Wear so in my personal opinion. I think no one's buying shaper at where right now which means no one's giving money for him to donate to corona relief anyway. That's my long winded way of saying Kim was not happy with Taylor's post. She took to twitter and she tweeted a bunch of tweets. Let's see how many tweets Kim posted it six tweets in a row. I feel like for Kim. That's a lot for Kim. That's a lot okay. She wrote at Taylor. Swift Thirteen has chosen to reignite an old exchange that at this point in time feels very self serving given the suffering. Millions of real victims are facing right now. I didn't feel the need to comment a few days ago and I'm actually really embarrassed and mortified to be doing it right now but because she continues to speak on it I feel. I'm left without a choice but to respond because she is actually lying to be clear. The only issue I ever had around the situation was that Taylor lied through her. Publicist who stated that? Connie never called to ask for permission. They clearly spoke so I let you all see that nobody ever. The word was used without her permission at the time when they spoke the song had not been fully written yet but as everyone can see in the video she manipulated the truth of their actual conversation in her statement when her team she said she declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such strong with Sajjan his stick message. The lie was never about the word. Bit was always whether there is a call or not and the tone of the conversation. I never edited the footage and never lie only posted a few clips on snapchat to make my point and the full video. That recently leaked doesn't change the narrative and quote. Okay so like technically I think none of these people are in the right and I think that this is all weird and like I think they're all wrong they're all It's semantics game at this point at least Taylor shift is is getting donations for corona virus off of it. I don't know what Kim is getting out of speaking on this right now. Kim is just like making herself kind of look bad right now even though I don't even think Kim is wrong. She's just like she should have just said no ping like now. Everyone's kind of making fun of Kim Kardashian. But like hey if there's anything crash. Ian Doesn't mind it's when people are talking about her so I guess can you? Oh this whole thing has aged between probably ten years. I think I'm GONNA start sprouting. Some grey hairs from this. This is a this feud this futures fund but now it's now the fun is over and I'm getting old. I'm getting old

Some 2020 Oscars Fashion Faves

"What you missed today. In the world of Celebrity News Oscar's edition low woah eight. We're GONNA get to the awards show and we're going to get to the after parties but first we have to talk about is a fast Sean. Okay we got to kick things off talking about fashion through a lot of great looks this year. I think I watched so many of those dumb slow motion like he news fashion camera things. I think now everything I look at is in slow motion. My eyes broke watching. So many of those stylized Slo mo videos or whatever anyway as far as getting ready moments I loved Zach braff posting pictures of his girlfriend Florence. PUGH getting ready. He had some like cute block and white right shots of her like with her dress on and getting ready at his house. I'm assuming she doesn't have her own house in la yet because she's she's new anyway. Did notice this in Zach Braff instagram story. In addition to posting pictures of his girlfriend Florence. PUGH getting ready. He also posted a picture of a mirror with like a cute little a post. It note reminder on it at said take your tickets. Like as if he's trying to remind foreign spewed not forget her tickets to the Oscars anyway. It seems cute normal but then I looked closer at the shot and he has used three different. Post it notes to post this message on a mirror. It's like the worst to nonsensical usage of post. It notes I've ever seen it's like he's using to post it notes in lieu of like tape. I guess but it just it looks bonkers. I highly recommend you go check out the photo of it. I'M GONNA put it on her social media accounts so you can see anyway so I guess she remembered you bring your tickets because she did show up Florence pugh or a great dress was like green and had all these tiers layers to it. It was spaghetti strap at had a little title bout. I loved it other fashion that I really liked Natalie. Portman war a Dior Cape that had embroidered on it all the names of the female female directors who were not nominated which I thought was kind of a cool statement spike Lee were a purple and yellow suit with the numbers. Twenty four stitched on the front and back in honor of the late Kobe. Bryant Kristen Wig wore this big red dress that made her kind of look like a delicious piece of lasagna. Like go all your red hot piece of uncooked LASAGNA. Pasta it was it was great. I loved it. Geno Monet had a good look. She were this like metallic hooded dress. US that I really liked. I love an actresses like bring kind of a met gala fashion vibe to the red carpet like they go over the top. I think that's fine like if if you're GONNA be famous and go to the Oscars like why not have some fun with it. You know like why. Why just look like hot and glamorous when you could look like hot hot glamorous and absolutely crazy speaking of like big fashion moments? I also loved Sandra. Oh's dress you had this giant and philosophy glittery like dusty rose gown. It was awesome in it was it just. I like when a gown takes up a lot of space in and Sandra. Oh she took up a lot of space in to me. That's fashion. Is it weird. That my favorite look of the night might have been from the child actress. Sophia Ed butters. Who played the little girl in once upon a time in Hollywood? I know it's weird. I don't like love that my favorite look was worn by a child child star. But it's true. I don't know what that says about my fashion taste but I thought she looked great. She had this like all pink. High Collar are button up. But like Poofy pantsuit thing. It's honestly so cute and chic. It's very age appropriate too. I liked and it. It's it's like a fairytale princess who is going to work as an accountant or something. It's a great is a great vibe amend to

"Is that just part of the the business or how does that work it's part of the business the most of the people that will come to my site and and purchased a picture are are mostly fans that do that not the magazine's not that the people on us and in such they'll go directly to the agencies and coal photos from that from those places but for mine it's the corporate clients and the fans for the ones who get the photos will website how would you define the difference between celebrity photography and and 'paparazzi and do you let's say you're at a restaurant in los angeles and and you see a celebrity will you take that picture you like in on that working now i'm just eating a threeday i i i have a line i that i don't cross so i my definition of 'paparazzi is that you are basically chasing down the person so you'll be relentless if there were eating you stop the meal you'll gone you'll bother them wherever they are uh i don't do that i always ask the person before i photograph them do you mind if i take a picture if they say now i don't uh if they say s great i'll take a picture but if i'm to dinner like which which happen not long ago i was sitting next to madonna the shoes at the table next to me oh my god did i want to take a picture i really did why do that very badly but i didn't because it's not something that i do the 'paparazzi are experts at getting those shots and i'm not and i'd rather not plan that arena can you talk about image that uh was just do a gigantic pd may be something that you you didn't expected to be you or somebody to just blew.

"Asking every inhabitant techniques that used to get that i contact other than you know having appear range did or or screaming the names well for me it's a little bit it's a little bit easier because it's a sea of man and then there's a moment so i tend to get icon contacted more often because of that even even if i had bigger eyes around me that are screaming their heads off and trying to get the celebrities attention i never scream because nobody ever here's me so the celebrities tend to look at me most of the time which is which is m exciting for me it pisses them off but you know what can i say who's who there's still a minority you monks liberty shooters zero gajah really uh yoho coughing after around now the road and can i ask whom the image that you've induce no to the agency's if you achieve already arranged a a fee with a client is that icing on the cake a little extra money or is that the bulk of of what your earning if i can ask if i son was the images to to an agent uh the return on that is very low i'm i'm basically making my money when the client hires me and pays me to do is shoot so if their pay me to get the red carpet shot that's where i make my money and then later on you know when with the things kids placed in magazines blogs etc i won't even see the payment on that for at least six months because by the time they pay and then it goes to the system than when i finally get it so maybe six months later all get fifty dollars is it how is the payment generally by twitter you're william newly were no i mean so it's it's it's every monthly those who you receive a report of a royalties report plus payment every every month um but jennifer's right with some clients you knew it takes like for instance i think uh people magazine just soon was a notice yesterday that they were no peeing a ninety days after.

"You can then submit to an agency and earn after the fact as well or you have to arrange that with a client ahead of time obviously and uh is that the norm or or usually nuts it depends on the client some people want just exclusive images and other clients are fine that dale select let's say five pictures and they want those pictures to go out of that celebrities so they ask you just to hold those and send them out and don't send out any the other images lucien surfing chris mentioned earlier about i contacted you mentioned that some people will just they don't make contact with this roots big thing increase you also mention that the keepers shot is when you actually have whoever you food is making contact with the linz how often is that happened i imagine lot this stuff glazing out the read this lineup of photographers uh how often do you lucky out is more communist you do get that shot who do you have to settle more often for so i glance of who i think you know those are not completely worthless right so if you don't have i contact is not the end of the world but the prizes the prizes the eye contact and you're more lightly to guy contact if you're in a good position within the pen of photographers sohf front row center would be ideal or or some are assumption talk of furs argue at the beginning of the walk so when the when the celebrity comes out of the car they'll stop right there as soon as the red carpet begins some photographers belief that's the best because they get if it's a very long carpet like the oscars of the you know our can film festival it's pretty old pretty yeah they go they get our the endrio and young y'all got tired they don't wanna smile anymore handled by the way would unite teenage we sell these neat little things deal like little fuzzy colorful animals you could put her on they clip onto the front of the land people do that.

"So it's actually very straight forward it's you want a good celebrity so someone who's interesting to the public in good fashion uh especially in the case of female celebrities looking at the camera with i contact and really the most uh valuable image is a fool length an a fool length is literally the top of their head to the tip of their tools and mistake that can of nova's photographers make is that the cup cut their feet off once you cut a celebrities feet off it's the pictures not worthless but you're going to crop it to a half halflength you're not gonna put out so you know if you can check holders boxes that's that's a good red carpet photograph and obviously has to be sharpen unwell expose what merit and our red carpet photos somehow better than let's say a star coming out of starbucks or celebrity starbucks earth i mean i guess we call more perazzi is there a a value that's placed on those differently there is a different value but it really depends on the uh the use that you envisage for the picture right so if you work for the national enquirer you're looking for something different than if you work for volk so i would say in terms of dollars in sense the candid material tends to sell for more than the red carpet material but you know a really uh the difference is not as great as it used to be and also the volume of red carpet material that sold tends to be higher the so you know as a lot of councils the end of otographer is media require them or ask them to edit well or you just want to get everything into yourselves we well you know.

"So whether that comes from our own uh interaction with the publicist and credential or the photographers relationship beano it is neither here nor there really a syphon embedding information into the image file itself data how do you separate your pictures from everyone else's specifically say when you have one of your one of your a shooters in the pan shooting with eighty million other people that same thing there's a lot of pictures getting out of this event into a lot of different media outlets how do you track what's yours kosice me be very easy to say to to to trap you're all byline to another picture because there are slightest differences between many of the injured unless you quote a great moment that no one else when snap on right so when the pictures published sometimes there will be a bylined sometimes they're wound um but in the cases where there is no there's you receive a report from the publication okay i'm talking about magazines yohnka a few think you've senior picture in a magazine an is an on that report than you contact the magazine and you say hey you know you iran this picture we didn't get paid we it wasn't reported in a what's going on also there is software out there that will actually kroll through the pages of magazines looking for your picture oh yeah jozef myopic directing a huge only a situation where they are remarkably similar a lot of these pictures being who is a lotta lotta pictures being taken within the same fractions of a second off and yet the same exact background is slightly different perspectives june's mmhmm well you know the the first of all the software picks that up okay and um.
