"Renewed arzu passes and i'm super excited next. She took the amtrak and headed to l. a. Where on january twenty six. She checked in to stay on main to start her four-day. Stay in the city of angels. Totally not this is. The hotel had done what her family had asked and checked in everyday however on january thirty first two thousand thirteen the day before she was supposed to check out of the hotel her family hadn't heard from her the next day they contacted the hotel and even though it was her scheduled data check out. She never did When the family hadn't heard from her they immediately filed a missing persons report. Lapd came to the hotel to investigate. Initially there were eighteen detectives working on the case. They searched her hotel room however it was previously cleaned since it was hotel protocol to clean and bag up the belongings of guests who had mr checkout and sore them until they could come to claim them very. They searched the hotel up and down even utilizing send towns to maybe find a single trace of elisa's location. They turned to empty the only thing they really had to go on at the time was at a santo traced elisa's sent to a fire escape window on the floor. She was staying on detectives scrub through hours of surveillance footage and discovered that she had entered the hotel on january thirty first but she never left therefore she must still be somewhere in the hotel as they continue to look through the footage. They were stunned to find a clear recording of in the elevator the night of her disappearance while investigators thought this might be a good lead that would give them the edge to finally find her as they continue to watch on notice. Lisa that was exhibiting strange behavior. As she entered the elevator she immediately pressed every button. Down the center of the consul. Then she steps to the back of the elevators if waiting for the door to close and for the elevator to do. It's elevator thing then. She looks confused as if wondering why the doors weren't closing she hunches over sticks her head out of the doors and quickly jerks her head left and right examining the surroundings to see if anyone was out there she then cowers back until the elevator and presses herself tightly in the corner as if she's hiding from someone then she just kind of waits for a few seconds and peeks her head out again and kind of just stands in the doorway of the elevator looking left and right before she steps out even her stepping pattern is odd because she doesn't just step straight out of the elevator she kinda like jumps out. She's like a little hop And then she walks forward one step then to the left ones then back one step. Like in a box like waltzing almost right then she kinda sidesteps to the left out of frame but you can still see the right side of her. And it's like she was avoiding something or stepping around an unseen entity and then she stays outside the elevator for a few seconds when she enters it again. She has her hands out to the side as if she's trying to keep her balance and then she just pushes the same buttons on the console that she pressed before so straight down the middle and then she goes back outside the elevator..

"Be out of windows <Speech_Male> where people jumped <Speech_Male> before because they were <Speech_Male> being impressed <Silence> upon by something <Speech_Male> at <Speech_Male> take that for <Speech_Male> what she will but <Speech_Male> it just <Speech_Male> seems like there's a <Speech_Male> lot more to this <Speech_Male> than just <Speech_Male> a hotel where <Speech_Male> some bad stuff happened <Speech_Male> a while back. <Speech_Male> It just seems like <Speech_Male> there's more to that explanation. <Speech_Male> And and <Speech_Male> i feel like <Speech_Male> it has to do with <Speech_Male> a presence <Speech_Male> involved <SpeakerChange> in that hotel. <Speech_Male> Yeah <Speech_Male> i agree <Speech_Male> chad. <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> you bro. <Speech_Male> so <Speech_Male> i'll <Speech_Male> land <Speech_Male> a little bit <Speech_Male> more grounded <Speech_Male> on this. Which i often <Speech_Male> do. Sometimes <Speech_Male> i guess. <Speech_Male> I think that <Speech_Male> while <Speech_Male> the <Speech_Male> story of <Speech_Male> her disappearance <Speech_Male> a lot <Speech_Male> of things don't line <Speech_Male> up necessarily. <Speech_Male> I don't <Speech_Male> think that everything's <Speech_Male> going to line up on every <Speech_Male> disappearance and everything's <Speech_Male> going to be perfectly fit <Speech_Male> but <Speech_Male> that being <Speech_Male> said <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> if i was <Speech_Male> to lean one <Speech_Male> way or the other <Speech_Male> i would lean <Speech_Male> probably more <Speech_Male> tur- towards <Speech_Male> somebody being <Speech_Male> there outside <Speech_Male> of that hotel with her <Speech_Male> and her being <Speech_Male> murdered and put in <Speech_Male> the <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> tank just <Speech_Male> from the simple fact <Silence> like ryan said <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> even if those <Speech_Male> things are open on <Speech_Male> the top. They're extremely <Speech_Male> difficult to open <Speech_Male> from the <Speech_Male> earth. Close from the <Speech_Male> inside. When you're <Speech_Male> sloshing around <Speech_Male> in water and <Silence> i mean <Speech_Male> it <Speech_Male> lines up more <Speech_Male> that somebody took her <Speech_Male> up there and put her in the <Speech_Male> tank. It's <Speech_Male> it's a little weird <Speech_Male> to me that she got up. <Speech_Male> There are climbed up this <Speech_Male> tank with no ladder. <Speech_Male> I <Speech_Male> don't know. I <Speech_Male> also <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> let me break it down <Speech_Male> a little easier here. <Speech_Male> My first <Speech_Male> theory is that she <Speech_Male> was murdered. My second <Silence> theory is that <Speech_Male> she <Speech_Male> killed herself <Speech_Male> and my third theory <Speech_Male> is some sort of paranormal <Speech_Male> saying. <Speech_Male> And that's <Speech_Male> for me <Speech_Male> evidence wise. <Speech_Male> I i <Speech_Male> don't really see <Speech_Male> enough here and that might <Speech_Male> just be because i haven't <Speech_Male> seen enough <Speech_Male> content on <Speech_Male> that side of it <Speech_Male> but <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Male> to me <Speech_Male> it's it's <Speech_Male> just the hotel <Speech_Male> man. It's the area <Speech_Male> skid. Row's a really <Silence> bad area. <Speech_Male> It's <Speech_Male> full a really bad <Speech_Male> people <Speech_Male> like i said <Speech_Male> earlier. Even though <Speech_Male> there were no drugs <Speech_Male> recreational drugs <Speech_Male> found in her system. <Speech_Male> It's inconclusive <Speech_Male> Because of <Speech_Male> the amount of blood that they <Silence> tested so <Speech_Male> for me <Speech_Male> the drug theory is <Silence> not really ruled out. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> She's were <Speech_Male> literally right <Speech_Male> next to the biggest <Silence> drug market in <Speech_Male> the western <Speech_Male> united states. <Speech_Male> So <Speech_Male> i kind of feel <Speech_Male> like maybe. <Speech_Male> She's drugged up <Speech_Male> in that hotel video. <Speech_Male> What <Speech_Male> she's on. I have no <Speech_Male> idea. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> And then <Speech_Male> whatever happens <Speech_Male> afterwards <Speech_Male> is is up in <Speech_Male> the air as far <SpeakerChange> as a murderer <Speech_Male> suicide to me. <Speech_Male> So thank <Speech_Male> you guys for hanging <Speech_Male> out and taking that ride with <Speech_Male> us and we hope that <Speech_Male> you enjoyed learning a little <Speech_Male> bit more about the so hotel <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> the <Speech_Male> weird history <Speech_Male> that exists there <Speech_Music_Male> and the fact <Speech_Male> that two serial <Speech_Male> killer stayed there. <Speech_Male> All the weirdness that <Speech_Male> that exists with that <Speech_Male> and we hope you enjoyed <Speech_Male> it and <Speech_Male> you know just reminder <Speech_Male> make sure to head <Speech_Male> to that strange dot net <Speech_Male> follow <Speech_Male> us on social media <Speech_Male> and just kind <Speech_Male> of try to keep up with us <Speech_Male> as we <Speech_Male> do things <Speech_Male> and be one of the first <Speech_Male> people to know about it <Speech_Male> we would certainly <Speech_Male> appreciate it <Speech_Male> Patriae <Speech_Male> on merge although <Speech_Male> stuff by stuff <Speech_Male> support us <Speech_Male> it'll be cool <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> and then we <Speech_Male> can keep <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> But on that. Note <Speech_Male> a as <Speech_Male> always <SpeakerChange> i'm ryan. <Speech_Male> I'm chad <Speech_Male> in i'm <Speech_Male> ryan. <Speech_Male> You're alex <Speech_Male> and we are that <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> we are. That strange <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> could perfect.

"Mind go ahead. It's it's it's being weird the one i think it's really difficult to to navigate this because yeah so all the all the posts after the fact after her death are all there. These these tagged posts. So i don't know. I don't really know how tumbler works like i don't either. I don't have a tumbler. i don't know how it works either but it. It seems like the main theory is that those were done by tumbler. Yes yeah. I li- her her phone. It's not out of the realm of possibility that tumbler magically picked these random things. That's that's really odd. However her last documented actual post is Is from the twenty ninth. Said yes right twenty nine. Th year. I have arrived in l. a. land and there's a monstrosity of a building next to the police. I'm staying when i say monstrosity. Mind you i'm saying as in gaudy but again it was built in nineteen twenty eight hence the art deco theme so it is classy beloit. She talks about how she thinks. That baz lerman baas lerman film the great gatsby there. But that is the last one However like like. I was saying before her post before. That are just like the one directly before that on the twenty ninth says my laptop screen brighter than my future one before that on the same day. I wish i could put part of my brain into a taped shut box and shove it into the back of my closet for the night like. It's just like sushi. So i guess my point here is that. She was absolutely experiencing the low end of of her bipolar and her bipolar disorder. And she was. She was actively experiencing her symptoms of depression. It seems right. Yeah so the. I've found the post by the way that i was referring to. So on the twenty seventh february which you know obviously well after she was dead She posts a tarot card of the hermit. Which is intended to represent being alone or lonely and And then after that after that post she goes on to post or will. She has posts on her on her tumbler. All the way through december of that same year Which is odd to say. The least. And i think that at least in my personal opinion i think that particular fact rules out the whole q. Thing just i don't think anybody's queuing for december a year later do you. I don't know that just seems weird to me. I don't think they're they're not things that she's queuing. It's things that tumbler is po. She has like a setting on her tumbler that in her absence. If she doesn't post anything it posts things from her past..

"Due to the small amount of blood they were able to recover from the body. Lamb had been found however a lot of the story did not line up the doors to the room. I'm sorry the doors to the roof. Were under lock and key and the ability to force. The doors open would allegedly trigger an alarm in the scana disputed fact that if the alarm was active at the time however another way to bypass those measures is the fire escape so people that are under the field that she did this all to herself and she accidentally drowned in these tanks that she got out through the fire escape. The water tank had no fixed access to them. The hotel workers would need to use ladders in order to get in to look down into them. They were also protected with a heavy lid. That would be very difficult to replace from within the tank. Lambs phone was not recovered with her body or in the room and it is presumed to have been stolen prior to her disappearance. So a couple of things. I wanted to point out here. This is i. I've read a ton about this. And i mean picture picture this because chad what you had here great job of explaining it but i just want to crystallize a couple of things. Because i think it's important so she would have had to. I mean this is not like. She's not like a very strong person she's i think what like maybe one hundred pounds. She's not very tall. Like get this picture in your head so she had to have climbed this thousand gallon tank up ladder that was leaning up against it up a wooden ladder. She would have had to either remove her clothes at this point or remove close once she got into the tank because her clothes were found at the bottom of the tank then she would have had to lift the twenty pound door to get into the tank and then once in the tank would have had to reach from inside this this door by the way opens opens into like opens out so it would literally flip over and lay on the top of the tank. So she would have had to have reached out of the whole. Grab this twenty pound tank while holding onto the tank like the edge of the door holding onto it. Lift this in. Close it to be able to actually achieve. What this what happened here like that. That doesn't even make sense. Would you agree chad. I would agree with you. Yes however through some of these web sleuthing investigations investigations. They did find that like the the tanks were open sometimes on the hotel roof. Sometimes there were up the ladder up there already. There's a lot if if you really want to dive deep into this topic. There's a lot of weird stuff that's going on here and a lot of weird stuff. That would have had to line up for this to happen the way that they say that it happened in. There's also one additional thing that i don't see in this so i'm just going to assume you did not see so i want to mention it because i think that it could be. It could be interesting to get your reaction to it so like you said here. Her phone was never recovered. Right so phone disappeared. This person is a travel blogger. Probably had the phone with her but it still wasn't found on her person. It wasn't in the tank. Nowhere around the tank. It was it was completely gone. Actually sorry sorry that. I suppose this is an actually moment for me..

"I mean that's yeah. I i mean i'm kinda like at first i was i when you said that i mean i'll be honest. I was like okay ryan. But but that's i don't know it's really. It's an interesting theory regardless. Yeah i just i. I think we and i've talked about this before too. I don't necessarily believe in haunting. Since as i believe in demonic possession and if know with everything that happened in this building and the history and who was there. I just feel like there's never. There's very few buildings in the world that have more going for the idea of them being affected by some sort of demonic force. There are few buildings that are more likely to have that than this one. You know what i mean like. The this is a hotbed for this stuff. And it's I feel. I feel like it's a very compelling possible reason for so many things like i mentioned the the pregnant lady from earlier. Why would she suddenly give birth. When she didn't even know she was going to give birth. Then freak out have a temporary insanity moment and throw the baby out the window. Why would that. Yeah well if it's if it's demonic pressure that that would that would explain it and like i it sounds out there but i mean there's i it's it's a terrifying idea but it makes so much sense if you start to if you start to look at it right. Yeah yeah it's definitely a irie story. Man i i don't know i. I have an opinion on this. But let's let's finish us. And then i'll give my opinion on it so following complaints of low pressure inside the hotel along with blackwater in an unusual taste of the water. Lambs body is eventually discovered inside. One of four thousand gallon tanks located on the roof the tanks provided water two rooms a kitchen and a coffee shop which is l. Gosh makes me kinda cringe thinking about it in a i mean it's really gross right like people are like showering in this brushing. Their teeth in this drinking coffee. Easing this water. Wasn't it a few days to since she. Yeah yeah she was in there. She was in there for a while so yeah she was. I think they said she was relatively like bloated when they found her. She had been in there for a while. So lamb was found naked. Inside of the tank the los angeles coroner issued accidental drowning with bipolar disorder as a selective significant factor. She had no recreational drugs in her system. But tests were inconclusive..

"The video. Because i think that's one of the most controversial topics honestly because a lot of people you know if you watch the video you got between the glitches in the numbers. You know it looking like it's it's almost trying to be covered up to the fact that the door has a relatively noticeable skip. It's got a it. It looks like to me that there's some sort of malfunction going on with the with the door. And i don't know what is causing that per se but it's very strange because the entire time she's in the elevator. The door never even makes an attempt to close right and then as soon as she walks out and kinda walks back in and then she walks out of the elevator and is gone off screen. It almost immediately closes. So it's like as soon as she walks away just starts working again magically. In i have so i have a theory on this and i and i also do have a theory but i'll let you do it because it's probably the same theory. I have probably so are kinda like this particular moment. I personally believe she was being affected by something. And i've seen video actually watched a documentary today about this where they actually go in and they're filming and they stand in the elevator and they're you know they're talking in this door closes like five seconds after you walk into that elevator like it does not wait i. It's not like one of those elevators where there's like a long gap between when you walk in and closes like it. It closes pretty immediately. So why would it not be closing when she's not holding the button down because something standing in the doorway. That's my opinion. I know that that's a really eerie way to have just said that. But i think that something standing in the doorway and i think the only reason that staying open when she's out of the doors because her hand keeps flying in front of the door while she's doing her little her little dance and then she walks away..

"Video at least lamb is seen inside one of the hotel elevators at the time she's alone and begins to make very odd movements pushing multiple buttons checking out of the elevator door almost in a hiding fashion so to describe this. She's it literally. Looks like she's playing hide and seek with somebody and except except in that paranoid way she thinks somebody is out there also yeah she's period. She's peering out of the out of the elevator door looking both ways. She's very it's weird because of the detective that worked on. It said that when he first saw the video he described her as being calm. But i i don't know where he gets that maybe he was just talking about the beginning of the video where she's standing in the corner. She looks calm but for the rest of the video. She does not look calm whatsoever. No she does not strike me as a as a calm person at all right and before we move away from of away from this particular little moment so there are a lot of people that theorized that she was playing this elevator game that kind of originated in korea. And i've watched the video a couple times in. I kind of looked at the the directions for this game and at i don't agree But it's just kind of an interesting thing and if you If you go out there and look for it. There's this theory that you can buy hitting certain buttons on an elevator control panel. You can travel to different planes of existence and experience like past and future and things like that. It's very odd. I don't think that's what she was doing. But i just wanted to point out that there is a theory that that that that's the game. She was playing which is weird. And it's worth reading about if you want to. Yeah she begins to walk outside of the elevator in a very bizarre fashion like we were saying she almost looks as if she is line dancing..

"A lisa was reported missing from the hotel by her parents who had not heard from her and reported it to the lapd hotel staff who had saw at least that day said that she had been alone. Detectives began investigating the disappearance and began to look at security footage from the season. Before i get too far into the event that took place. I want to give a little bit of a background about a lisa lamb. Lamb was somebody who was an introvert by nature but sort of lived a life that she talked about on her. Tumbler page Have you guys happen to you. Guys ever happened to see her archives in her. Tumbler did read. A couple excerpts. From one but i never actually ended up looking at her full. Her full-on on tumbler. Travel blog thing. So it's actually really interesting if you have any sort of interest in this story. It's it's worth a look and actually it's. It's kinda hard to get to unless you know where it's at so we can put a link and i'll send it to you chad but we can put a link directly in our blog if anybody's interested in looking at it and it's all archived on the internet so a lisa lamb like i said she. She kind of lived and spoke outwardly. Through her tumbler. When normally she would you know be quiet and i said introverted. And just kind of not share her feelings. Those were all shared through the internet. She has a lot of posts that refer to who to her her depression and things like that and towards the end maybe after after we we fully dive into this. I'll read a couple. But they really speak a lot to the type of person that she was and what she expected from the rest of the world honestly and she also just to be quite honest she was incredibly paranoid. And despite how you feel about this case she. She expressed it directly on her tumbler pages and i find that interesting that she already had these kind of these predispo- predisposed feelings when she went out to los angeles and in fact the literally talking about.

"A satanist and and did the those sorts of rituals. I mean it is known that that people that practice that you know if they go into a A location that was previously blessed by a priest. Or however you want to know. Like i said however you want to call it that he then went in there and then woke that up and then after that you know some of the some of the other things that we're gonna talk about you know kind of congress which is an interesting theory and also he happened to be across the hall from. I believe a room where a gentleman had actually jumped out of the window and killed himself so literally right across the hall This this guy is is staying in this room. And he's doing doing his thing he actually went. It was basically was told. I don't think it was actually a proven that he would do rituals on the rooftop with which will become important in a minute So put a pin in that. Not to steal your your phrase chad stolen. It's fine store every yeah well good. I'm sorry that i stole it. But you know. I feel like it belongs to the podcast. So true does Anyway so years later so this was in one thousand nine hundred five that ramirez was was arrested. He was identified but years. Later in nineteen ninety-one Gentleman named jack unterweger. Checked in an entre weather is is an interesting character. He was seemingly an unassuming journalist from austria who was assigned a story to write about crime in l a he even went so far as to prearrange ride. Alongs with the lapd who introduced him to the crime in the area gave him a tour of the darkest parts of skid row in nineteen ninety-one and. I said earlier that this that the nineties were really bad by all accounts. The early nineties were one of the like probably the height of crime in this area of la so this is a really particular time that he happens to be there so you know he checks in he he goes there he even stayed well. It was originally reported that he stayed on the fourteenth floor. But that was actually proven. Wrong later He stayed on the seventh floor or something like that but now jack was in fact a journalist and he was a writer but he was also a prostitute killer. He had actually killed several prostitutes in austria and was only released by the way this is insane was only released by the austrian government after they read the things. He was writing in his jail cell and considered him to be rehabilitated. He killed people in the seventies and was jailed until nineteen ninety. Got out of this. I did remember hearing i. I remember hearing that he was let out of prison and where he was from and then he came here with. But but for that reasoning. That's insane it almost. It just doesn't even make sense. And then what follows from. This is is even worse so a newspaper there because he ended up being a playwright newspaper there in austria actually hired him and said hey go to la. We're gonna have you write about crime in l. a. because we want to cover that..

Which is amazing because you see videos of him in the back of the police car with his head bandaged because they had seen him now and he's got those. I gotta be honest man. He's got the dead black is that everybody was talking about in that video. They're very very obvious exactly. He's got this thing about him and you see it you see it his eyes you really do um and obviously that's not where this ends so you might wonder why i've talked so much about ramirez and you you might already have guessed it but you may or may not have known a couple things about him. So he's famous for drawing a pentagram on his palm with six six six surrounding it and flashing it at the press during in in the courtroom during his trial. He's a self pursue profess satan worshiper. He wants victim. Who said he's they swear to god that they wouldn't identify him. He told them to swear to satan. He wants stood up. Being escorted out of the courtroom and loudly proclaimed hail satan for the room at as he was being let out. So why discussed this. When we're talking about a hotel well. It was confirmed that ramirez actually stayed on the fourteenth floor of the hotel in nineteen eighty five at the height of his killing spree. He was even seen disposing of bloody clothes. Behind the hotel. And a little alleyway in one of the dumpsters. So that there's a connection here now obviously. The hotel is an innocent. There's there's other things happening here and if you believe in any kind of possession or anything like that around the building. Obviously this buildings dark. We've we've spent the majority of thirty six minutes now talking about how dark this building actually is. You've got elizabeth short showing up there before she's dead. You've got all these different things. Sixteen different sudden related deaths occurred at this hotel over the years..

"I have not been able to finish it is more yet it is. It's not for the faint of heart or however you want to put that because it's extremely detailed. Personally i can watch a lot really messed up stuff and actually me. And chad had this discussion in the end of one of our other episodes. I think the m. k. ultra n- and i couldn't get past the first episode because of some specific Description of events that took place so right. Follow that recommendation it is. I'm sure it's a great documentary But just be warned. I guess is all be. Yeah you need to do. And that's good. Because i mean there were articles coming out that said like even true crime aficionados. Couldn't finish it so it's worth checking out but if you do have a weak stomach. Yeah you should probably stay away from it. I guess it helps if you've read about him and you know what he did. Because i run into that knowing a lot of it and He's he's a fascinating. I think he's a very fascinating serial killer and would be easy using the word fascinating. Ask.

"You know. La massive city home to the stars. Nobody parties in downtown. It's literally a ghost. Town is a sunset strip adleman sunset strips up. That's not in downtown. It's probably been de la. It's probably forty minutes from downtown. Maybe if i had to guess minus the traffic i don't you know that's it's not so we so there's like a huge nightlife there but like so in downtown. I did not know yeah. it's not. it's yeah it's not like your typical like new york city. You go to new york city that cities popping all the time everywhere you go. Everybody's up downtown. La nothing now. They wanted to try and turn that around at some point and there was like a big push to create a nightlife in downtown. La and. i don't think it ever really went anywhere as far as least okay. So as i mentioned earlier the once high end hotel began to house drug dealers and other criminals and because of the low prices. They began that we touched on earlier. When ryan said they began to get long term residents and like. I said some of them were staying for months years. I mean this began to become home for for a lot of people. And i believe they had like some sort of contract with the city to allow homeless people to stay there. I never read anything about that. But i wouldn't be spree yet because they tried to change it when the new owners came in and bought it. They tried to fix it up and say we're not gonna let this happen anymore. And they were like in a contract with the city over it so yeah so i kind of i found that kind of interesting. I mean it doesn't make sense. It's like it's place with six hundred rooms like it make sense right. Yeah so the first incident of a death on the premise was the year. The hotel opened percy cook. A fifty two year old had been staying at the hotel shot himself in the head while he was inside of his room. The los angeles times reported that he had been rushed to the hospital and he ended up a passing away at the hospital several years later. Nineteen thirty one Guest w k norton died in his room at the c. So after ingesting poison capsules since then over a dozen other deaths including suicides. Overdoses murders took place on the see-saw property in. Did you guys get a chance to look at the it like the history of the like the deaths on the premises. Yeah actually There was one. And i don't i don't know if you had it in here but If you did. I'm very sorry but there was one where this woman i forget her name. Actually i jumped to her death in landed on a guy walking down the street. Yup which is why really wild. Yeah so there. There's a lot of jumping deaths suicides. Jumping out of windows jumping from the roof..

"In it. I don't know. I gotta say i'm done. I can't can't do that was fine but you know you gotta remember that the pink floyd the nickname for it was winger. Gosh i was fantastic l. Good that was great. It was really great you know what skid row is famous for all of the rat. That's that's probably a true. Yes actually more famous for the guns and roses and also very probably true minus the rose. Lots of siblings often lived there. You know when they were down on their luck they would. They would live in skit row and and the twisted right god. I was just going to say that. I was going to say that the one guy was interviewed and he said he added twisted sister. Gosh ryan okay. There you go. There's there's a quick breakdown of the history of skid row. Police won't even go in there unless they have a warrant on. Yes oh my goodness okay. So yes that was the history of schedule but the actual skid row the basic history which. I'll breakdown really quickly because we just really took a deep dive into it but the the basic premise is. This is where all the homeless people in los angeles went whether it be by ambulance by police or whoever else was piling them into area and then it began they began to kind of keep them in there and they would have police patrols outside of it making sure. None of the homeless people got out of this area. So not the nicest area of the city as you can imagine in. The seaside hotel is very very close to this like there. It's also which is important for later so we'll put a pin into this. It's also one of the biggest open drug aren't markets in the united states. Also it's just it's literally like the wild west in here. There's not outside a police stopping people from going out of it. They're not paying too much attention to what's going on in the inside. And there's you can get into some violent twisted stories out of this skid row in los angeles but did you guys know that. yeah Actually one of the documentaries. I watched in preparation for this episode. Kinda covers that a little bit and talks about it. A bit and Actually there's a story that august to a little bit later. That happened in the nineties and they were talking about just like the amount of prostitution and drove things like that. That were happening in that area. So definitely not not the best area to find yourself in kind of walking alone. You know maybe not great right right so the so. The area around is quickly declining. And that's obviously decline. The hotel too so it becomes a begins to deeply decline around the great depression and it never really stops declining and the great depression really limited. Obviously the number of travelers that were traveling looking for a high end hotel to stand..

"You yes i'm thinking. Oh yeah yeah. I'm glad that you said exit out. Loss into what. I was saying but I was driving accident vitamins. Jarring down probably like directions Not too far from my house nocona nighttime and we pull a empty parking lot turns to turn around. We went the wrong way. I don't know where we see. This man start charging towards our direction. You know what he look and he was kind of us from is like tall lanky. Thought he'd be coming towards us but what he looked like was like really like shaggy hair. Short guy was like calub like charles. Manson are more from rick. And morty like Older facing e is started. Sprinting that he stops turns her on walking away. I thought that maybe he thought that we were after him. You know at a time right. I was like maybe this trip. And i thought he was like right right. Be it only out. 'cause it was like i didn't know that area. It was dark and yet the trip me out of that in area they found someone dead. Maya dumpster would area like Summer fifteen mile road damon dec- some dudes booking hall s coming towards you with lengthy legs. Probably i remember just another time thinking about it is like the middle of detroit neighborhoods. I forget it we. I don't wanna like saying saying bad. But i don't really know that i don't know the name of the area that was in definitely just had like mom told me that it wasn't like a good area so i was like triggering about it. You know we were driving a fellow Momma said we got lost. You know right now z. Young so i was just like playing like a little game like a brothers straight up. How a horror movie starts playing the game and the best technology that back then like right nothing Gps thing wasn't working guy. Some highway and i think my mom ask somebody at like a like a store. Yeah we made. It helps that story. I'm pretty sure that happen. But he's super lame. Mom saying we're loss kinda freaked out 'cause like that's that's always area wasn't the you know when you're a kid. I was young here so kid. And you're like i. I'm sure i've you know if i thought hard enough i could think of a time when that happened to me but it's always scary like as a kid when you when you start to feel like. Oh maybe your parents are like a little scared you know. Maybe maybe like your mom like she. You know she's like like you can see it guy. I thinking my mom right now. I'm thinking of her. Like her is that they will be looking. Yeah yeah that's pretty scary shit. Yeah what's the most dangerous moment in like a moment where you've been like like all kind of like like what we're talking about like scared on those yeah probably because i used to be very Sketched out flying. You know buying an airplane back from florida from like a soccer tournament and it was raining. It was like fucking storm during our flight. You know yeah. A lot of turbulence duties felt like it dropped like a hundred feet. You know like even more like fugger plane was just like you and you weren't landing now. I it was creepy. It just felt everything. Shut off right. Dropped some First time experience. Something like that. So i was like my first reaction was i was with my brother. Used start dying laughter laughing. Yeah is like we couldn't stop laughing. 'cause like i look good the crying if i die. I know other brother. He was younger he was crying. You know yeah. I feel like Do you like the airports. Airports have like nice. Yeah i assume like aesthetics the morning. Everyone's going to go do this part of the adventure on. I have a meeting spot for everyone on their adventure around life. And it's like people getting drunk before. Yes you begin drunk before people and then there's always you know there's always like imagine how many people you pass by the airport that are actually like going to do some real just shady shit like that. Yeah and it's also like scene because traveling is like traveling is not something that everyone does you know right. So they're traveling for reason kind of cool to see and that's what i call. Can i calm down in sense. You see everyone like going to ucla all different types of people. They're like you feel safe for the reason. Oh yeah definitely that all these strangers. You don't know who's fly. that's great. No yeah yeah. I definitely like. They all seem like the pretty relaxed now. Yeah but the you more relaxed now. Yeah and and there should. Sometimes there's a air marshal on there so like a cop a on some flights but on some of them there's not so like get the luck of the draw you know yeah exactly man like some starts going off. Yeah i just What do you think about fat people on planes like terms lighting bam. You know i was stuck in between two heavier. People howl heavy though was on a plane like heavy to where they're kind of going over your seat rather they're comfortable. Yeah dude see. That's that sh. There should be a like airlines. Should start to make it a thing where you know if you're that big like you need to have two seats for yourself. Yeah sure that fat like your that fed issue just modify the seeds for like archer person unfortunately the have to get the largest city. You know exactly. Yeah yeah yeah or by first. Class imagining mandatory. You must by first class. 'cause you're overweight people get fucking piss. I know i know but like is that really. But i see i just think that you know. That's your fucking fault. If you're that big like you know sometimes you know. Yeah maybe on a rare occasion sometimes. So i'm not judging them. I'm not. I'm not saying you are saying why they like their company yet. But you felt uncomfortable. I've said in between february like that too. It's making people uncomfortable and a lot of times you know like like we're not making fun of fat person. I'm just saying it makes me uncomfortable. If they're in my space all kind of omni like or hey won't feel uncomfortable. I ensure the Overweight people feel uncomfortable. They do they do. I was listening to a podcast where They probably feel i am. I was like. I don't wanna person i'd take exactly so do certain things and whatnot and i you know i. That's the thing if they're if they're doing something like you can tell that they're trying to you. Know make it so that they're not all of you if they're fucking sprawled out they don't give a fuck you can just tell they don't care and like or also my mom's a flight attendants she'll tell me about these people who you know the the will come on the plane and smell bed and like they don't shower and actually the airlines will stop them and be like you guys have to go shower. You can't go. yeah because it's like a health hazard. Yeah bro like. I have something similar. I remember being a plan to do bra. This smelly as pizza headache. Green shit all over it in like i like when i was kid. Never experimented shit right just like for that reason. It probably is even worse like sink close to me. I just want to fuck or if they bring brought on like an egg salad some i. I'm not i've ever had a salads. natta thing. I've tried it. There's some food like potato salad. Have you had that data. Yeah i i've had it. It's all right. I mean it's not like. I'm not i definitely not as bad as egg cell. I can imagine this is doesn't sound nice. You know. I'm not going on my way to go have some potato activity. I'd rather just have the leg was up. Potatoes are also. I'm not a big fan bro. you you don't have. You had the ones have you even had a sweet potato fries. That's what i'm talking about. I don't like sweet potato fries on. Yeah i don't know what. I don't know what it is jason be. I mean you probably haven't had a good ones feel bad for the potato i dislike. It's just like men they're.

"An fire escape ladder and a locked alarmed door both on the fourteenth floor. Any attempt to force entry should technically have triggered an alarm perhaps lamb climbed the fire escape to reach the roof but the climate is treacherous and lamb was last seen in the surveillance footage and eventually found without her glasses meaning. Climbing the fire escape would have been exceedingly difficult. Besides someone would have noticed her or would they see so residents claim that the rooftop often known as a hangout spot for both employees and residents alike and as a quick google search will show many fascinated by the lamb case travel to this diesel after her death and posted videos of themselves easily accessible the roof with no alarm and no trouble whatsoever? Okay so how did lamb get in the tank of water? Once on the roof. The four by eight foot cylinder tanks were accessible by a separate ladder and covered by lids. Which would have been hard to close from the inside in his book. Gone at midnight. The mysterious death of a Lisa Lamb Jake Anderson interviews several seaside residence on the condition of anonymity who claim hotel staff often targeted young women especially out of towners reportedly stocking and even entering guests. Rooms mal intent. Additionally since two thousand thirteen experts have studied the infamous footage. And feel that the tip. Just the tip. Sorry of a shoe can be seen at one point. Before an edited portion leaving Anderson among others to speculate the not only with someone following lamb and the video side note she posted to her blog and the days prior her death quote creeper sheeting counted following her throughout her trip but that person could have quite possibly been a see-saw employees who having seen Lisa alone possibly recognizing her mental instability targeted. Her this would explain. How in the surveillance video? The elevator doors never closed until lamb exits not to mention how she could have accessed the roof without notice however one of the creepiest rumors persist that she died. As a result of playing quote the elevator game a paranormal urban legend akin to that of Bloody Mary that claims to take the player to another dimension. Fueling the speculation is that in the aftermath of her disappearance and murder. Tumbler kept updating specifically a final post showing a world inside a lightbulb Allah. A Snow Globe Realistically Lambs. Flog continued updating based on prescheduled posts or whoever had lambs phone which was never found was posting. What was in Lamb's draft folder creepy? Either way they're seriously tons more to this case and a share and we'll tell you I could go on for days about it but it's a fun read it or Internet rabbit hole the fall down so do yourself a favor and give it a Gugel. There's a conspiracy as to why the LAPD ACTED THE WAY. They did a tuberculosis test. That may bear relevance even a Japanese film dark water later remade into an American film by the same name starring Jennifer Connelly that has one too many similarities to the lamb. Case was made years before it happened honestly we may never know what or who really happened to LISA LAMB. But her last stop was a seasonal hotel and that only adds to locations existing mystery. Have you watched the video to see? If there is the tip of someone's foot that you can see in the elevator very brief. They've sent it to like photo experts. Many people have including this Jake Anderson I can see so like. There's a point apparently and spencer. You might look at it and be like. Oh Hell. Yeah but there's apparently a point where you are like. Oh Yeah there is for sure. And edit their It's very hard to attack. But what is for sure? Is that the time code is completely obscured like you can't read it at all and you can see it. Before and after or the time is the time code obscured throughout all the videos. Or is it just like a portion? Because it's it's been awhile since the whole video it's obscured throughout the whole video. And that's kind of been noticed. And I think Jake Anderson one of the main things that like brought him to this conclusion of it could be a hotel. Employee is that that footage came from the surveillance at the C. Soul. So who edited it? I doubt it was the cops or maybe it was a cops but the question is why would it be edited? Some people think it's it's speed it up so that her hand movements look extra creepy. Where if you slow it down. There's all sorts of stuff. But that's the T- The edit and the time code thing was noticed right away and the question is why. And who would edit the footage and obscure the time code and why? What would the reasoning to do that in did you? Did they compare it to other security video that they found where they were able to see on other days or other months or whatever that you can see time code? Funniest should ask that. There wasn't any none. They had no other security footage of anyone over the FA- preceding weeks days months. Whatever that was the claim at the time I could be wrong. There could be other stuff. That's been on earth just about her just in general yeah just in general not about her but if they pulled a random day like a month before I mean usually they only keep footage for what is it like three days or something. I don't even know so. From what seen research wise in terms of the seasonal surveillance it's shady at best. I believe that when they looked for other foot they tried to find other footage either of Elisa or other people and there wasn't much available. There's a which again there's a lot about this case that really is questionable including how some of the cops treated it. I'm so I honestly don't know if they compared it to other seasonal surveillance footage but part of me feels like because they found it a few days after she was reported missing. My guess. Is that the sea so probably did not have much provide. I have read that they while they were open. They didn't talk about. They would refuse to talk about this case to anybody and they were really shady about it to begin with so I really don't know what other footage from the sea so looks like if any exists by interest. Just yeah it's weird because it's like why would anybody obscure it? Why would anybody edit it? Yeah we could obviously go on and we really got this case spoke. We're not going to do that now. But yes maybe in the future. We can do more of a deep dive into that. But I would have to say besides knowing who killed Jon Benet Ramsey. This is probably the case that I would say is also like my top. Who who did it like? What the fuck cabins. Yeah after reading. Anderson's book I do sort of think that it might have been an inside job that there might have been Nefa and this is totally me just surmising but there might have been some nefarious hotel workers that like saga target because also why was. She moved to the fourteenth floor after her remains complained. That was a floor that was supposedly kept only residents of the hotel. So they move out there. That's where the footage was where that that you can easily google. There's a version of it on Youtube. I don't think it's the original version. But it's you get the point you can google it and see it. It's creepy and weird. But that's what that footage comes from. She's on the fourteenth floor and she exit on eggs on the fourteenth floor. And I think it's totally possible that there could have been a shady hotel worker that targeted her and for a resident because I mean we'll we'll get that in a second because all right. Yeah actually we actually have some reviews from people who right at the seasonal but I think the fourteenth floor was actually the floor that they say that Richard Ramirez stayed on. The whole thing is haunted as fuck though so whether or not she was running from a ghost or a resident or an employee. I mean any of those can be possible. Yeah exactly it's the sea so all of that is possible. Oh all right so the very last story. There was one other case after the what happened to a Lisa Lamb on June thirteenth. Actually there's probably more than one but this is the only one that I found on June thirteenth. Two Thousand Fifteen. The body of a twenty eight year old male was found outside the hotel. According to an assistant manager of the hotel the man was not a guest in could have been an intruder some conjectured that he may have committed suicide by jumping from the hotel although a spokesperson for the county coroner informed the La Times that the cause of death had not been determined so once again yet and who knows honestly all the previous cases that we read how many of those were actual suicides. And how many of those were murders or maybe just an accident. You know right having a smoke outside. You're you'RE LEANING OUT THE WINDOW. Maybe lean a little too far who the fuck knows yet. So much mystery surrounds this hotel and every murderer death that has taken place there so yeah an accident or not. It is just weird that like it all happened at one which I I'm really curious to know like. Are there any other hotels in the area that have a fraction of the amount of deaths that have happened? Yeah as as what happened at the seasonal so the season now is closed right as I think we mentioned earlier. But so what happened? Basically after a Lisa lamb or actually actually that actually actually actually actually actually when a Lisa lamb stayed there. It wasn't even the seasonal hotel anymore. Right it was rebranded. Bright re Brandon rebranded mindy to talk about what happened from the time. The hotel went from the seal to the stay on main Yemen in two thousand eleven. The seasonal was rebranded. Stay on main because what better way to Lake Shift Shady behavior away from like you know your hotels changed the name. No one will know so although the marquee in the Front. I think still said the so hotel right. I think it might still just. Because it's like a historical landmark kind of thing. I could be wrong on that In two thousand fourteen the hotel was sold to New York City. Hotel a Richard Born not of the Bourne identity For thirty million and another New York based firm Simon Baron Development acquired a ninety nine year ground lease on the property. Wow An article from soap boxy from December Twelfth Two Thousand Nineteen speculates. That stay on. May In may have officially closed in two thousand seventeen From an article in curbed Los Angeles from September. Two Thousand Nineteen Matt Barron President of Simon. Baron said he was committed to the preservation of the architecturally or historically significant components of the hotel such as the grand lobby but his company plans to completely redevelop the interior and fix the quote hodgepodge work that had been done in more recent years beyond renovating rooms. "Finally had the climate another ladder to get the top of the main tank. Only after all this noticed something unusual quote I noticed the hatch. The main tank was opened and looked inside and saw Asian will been lying face up in the water. Approximately twelve inches from the top of the tank. Okay so I take. That back tank was not locked behind her. It was a wide open. It was open was open. Yeah I had all reports. Her Pryor has stated that the top of the tank was locked behind when she was in she was inside but apparently that was not true. Apparently the was wide open so we so we think anyway right. Who was up there knowing you say 'cause net when you look at it now as like this dude looks guilty as Hell Queen Us Guinot. And if he's out there still alive in listening to this somehow sorry do. Lopez said as reported to L. A. EST- to La Esiason magazine. Whatever Lopez's testimony suggested that would have been difficult for lamb to make the top of the water tank on her own at least not without anyone noticing the hotels chief Engineer Federal. Tovar also made clear that it would be difficult for anyone to access to rooftop where the hotel water tanks were located without triggering alarms which we may not mentioned already. Yup Only hotel employees would be able to react with larne properly. If if it was triggered the sound of the alarm would reach the front desk as well as the entire top two floors of hotel. So he's not the only one that had access to turn off the alarm. All the hotel employees did okay. So that means they're guilty. But who stopped elevator? Exactly little back to that Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Howard home ruled that the death of Lisa lamb was unforeseeable because it happened in an area where guests were not allowed to access so the lawsuit was dismissed while an answer to the mystery behind the death of Lisa lamb remains unclear. Obsession surrounding that mystery has remained in the public conscious. Ever since and to this day. Nobody knows exactly what happened to these lamp. E exact and these unsal things are always find them very strange. I always find him scary in it is. It's yeah because if they got away with it I mean there are people in this world. We probably went through entire allies. Got Away with something you know medieval and you know. Nobody ever even suspected him. I mean in this day of like as you mentioned before cameras everywhere. Dna evidence. I mean people have cell phones and so they're always according to stuff For somebody to be able to still get away with murder. He is genuinely frightening. And it's also a lot less lot less likely nowadays right and it was back then right but still that is a huge mystery but like I said Bub reading the story though that most people point out and go back the dude man the dude that founder. He did it. I'm sure ten people have to have a mart- Lopez as the suspect. 'cause I don't know you know. Facts are not the top of that tank would have been locked and I would think you would have to be by law to protect the water supply right right because you can't just who's who's to prevent some fucker from going up there and putting forty gallons of sulphuric acid in there and somebody's taking a shower and melts their face off right something like that. Oh yeah or even contaminating tank with some sort of poison. Bright exactly cyanide to kill everyone of them within minutes and they'd have no idea right because he dropped dead from that stuff and wake up the next morning have five hundred guests in the hotel. Did from drinking the hotel water exactly exactly so it had been secured somehow so I guess it is going to have to remain unsolved or else we're gonNA just concentrate on Ms Lee next time around on California. Maybe I don't know there's a lot to talk about their. I'm sure the maintenance guy was questioned. Probably quite extensively probably. I'm sure he was. Yeah well the first thing you WANNA do. When you're hot you've hidden a body is to yell from the rooftop no pun intended. Hey I found somebody dead in the water tank. I was checking out something because they said or the foul whatever and I found this in the water tank. Holy Crap. Call the cops you know. That's one of the best thing you know. One of the things that criminals probably due back in the old days is like hey if we leak we actually call the cops and report the crime they won't. We won't be the first suspect right right. Throw them off the trail. You know yeah. I don't know I mean the as far as I can tell there. There aren't any actual suspects names listed as far as the case. So if how could it be there was only the one dude? What but all the hotel Give workers had the ability. Turn alarm off either that or the head alibis and in who who's to say that a hotel employee didn't steal keys maintenance worker to open up the the the elevator. I don't know I'm Gordon. Slap somebody now now that but again go back going back to the video. If she went to the left of the yellow when she got out and he was to the right at some point he would have qualified to cross the door opening to goods. Follow her which is another thing cameras. There's a camera that elevator. There hadn't been camera than halls. I would think you would think. But but they don't have that angle angle now. He has access to the recording room. He could have blanked the tape You know they don't mention that in the story. Yeah but there's things because whoever was pursuing her at least seemed to be pursuing her Was off camera. The whole time was talking to never came into view of the camera. He he knew where the camera was in there. So you need to stay out of that or he was just a crazy guests. One of these murdering motherfuckers keeps coming to this place new everything whereas walked round. Sculpt the place out figured out how to do it. There's also the part of the video. Where when she looks out of the door she doesn't just look in one direction she looks now. It's creepy to both directions. The doors are stuck open. It's almost like a horror movie. You know you're sitting there and you're getting tents watching this video godly. He's waiting for somebody to bum rusher Do some but the waste. There's nothing happening. She's just and why wouldn't she when she got when she walked out of the elevator when she run she stood there and made weird gestures with their hands? Because maybe it was a familiar person. You know she obviously wasn't comfortable. I get something with cream comfortable. So she she just ran. Maybe it was the fact that the elevator wasn't moving. And maybe she's sticking her head out she might a heard some noise. There's no telling. I wish there was audio. It'd been cool if there was. Yeah I mean the video is so bad that you came and see like timer date on the video because it's all excited out. Yep Yeah it's not. It's not clear how we'll see. I guess I guess there's no good copies of it probably now. There's not the one they released. His is the one. You've seen their tampered evidence. Yeah see I'm sorry. Something something weird about that man. I mean somebody. Somebody pulled the job right so they had to really think it out. Yeah Yeah so all right well Man That's a that's a crazy crazy hotel. I ain't going. I'm not saying I mean I wouldn't mind going investigating it. I will pitch a tent in the street. But I'M NOT GONNA stay goes down skid row. I death almost in in a in a room near window near the now outside ghost hunting. This place we'll be back. Yeah maybe we'll do that. One day might even get voice. Richard Ramirez up in there. You never know yeah. That'd be awesome all right well until next time I am Chris and I'm Jay and we'll see you guys in the next state of fear you bet. Oh and don't forget to stay tuned for the personal encounter stories coming up right now. Hi I'm Christian and I'm here to tell my ghost story. I'm nineteen and I've been a firm believer of the paranormal for quite some time. I live in an apartment complex age and I've never been told of any haunting or anything scary except that it's apparently in a bad part of town last night there was a knock on my door. I assumed it was. It was a neighbor something like that so I go to answer but no one is there. I brush it off as a prank so I close the door after looking outside then I realized I didn't hear any footsteps in a would've because the stairs to my apartment vibrate and make very loud noises when stepped upon then. I hear knocking again. But this time it's quieter and quicker I go to answer again in. No one. Is there once again. I start to get angry. He freaked out about this. I closed the door and wait right next to him again. Something knocked but really hard and loud that it will cut my roommates. I answered quickly again in nothing. No one's there. That's when my roommates asked me what is happening. I tell them the story and they think I'm joking. So they go back to their rooms as they walk away. See very tall man with the most horrific face my balcony it has hallways whereas cheek should be in his teeth. Protruding out of his face. I'd tell my roommates to rush back to see this but he's gone already a go out to my balcony reluctantly in on the floor where he was standing or teeth. That are black like charcoal. I freak out and show my roommates and they realized that I wasn't joking. After some talking I decided to go to bed about an hour later. I then wake up really early in the morning out. Assume like three. Am Rochelle. And I see the man standing over me in moments later. He gives his terrifying scream. That sounds like he's gurgling saliva and is choking. I had no idea what to do so I just hid under my blanket. Terrified in the screaming stopped. I peeked out of my blanket and find nothing. I told roommates that I was moving up the next morning in. That's the end of my story own. You've been listening to four hundred shines..
