"You went through the Timberwolves. You went through Phoenix was without Chris Paul and then with the Al Deandre ayton and then you got the Lakers who were an 8th seed and then you get Miami. It was another HC. You know, oh, it was the easiest path that NBA championship teams ever had to go through. Hey, they'll probably be some of that as well, but you know what? I'm here for it. Bring it on. It's an argument I'd rather have sitting from my perch as an NBA champion than anything else. Do you think LeBron cares about the championship that was won in the bubble? Do you think the barn and AD care what anybody says about that? Right. They could get less. Right. Okay, so on sort of that same topic, Cecil lammy, writing at Denver sports dot com that nugget fans need to stop worrying about the national media. Writes Cecil, I'm also sick of the way some nugget fans behave because of this imbalance coverage. It seems like there are some in this ever expanding fan base and focus more on the negative coverage or lack of coverage rather than simply enjoying the best basketball team we've ever seen in the mile high city.

"All the time? I love Chris. I have broadcast voice. My wife always reminds me at some point. Hey, hey, hey, I hear you. I can hear you. Okay? Dial back the broadcast voice. You know, my kids will be, oh, daddy's in, daddy's got his broadcast voice on right now. Yeah, this is a shock. I couldn't talk like that all the time. I love this shot. I love Chris. What are you doing right now? I'm tricking the trash out. You'll be a temple be interesting. I mean, come on, this is a final shot, right? For bigger mayhem? This is kind of one of those. You either succeed in Tampa or you got weapons. Evans Godwin, all those guys. Yeah, weapons. Hey, how many texts do you think I've received in the last 5 minutes about Evan, you're not going to be allowed at any WNBA games? How many of you think I've been I don't even think you think I've received here. I'm our great listeners. Talking to talk, I can just see you now. I went to one of the parents and said, hey, is that your daughter? Like to do an interview. I take you. By the way, we got to do one game. Before you were arrested. Let's recap this real quick. We got a new listeners join us all the time, all right? This is story time with stink. I love the way you tell the story. Explain the is that your daughter story? Right. So I had first of all, let me just say, I had the absolute best of intention. Yes, you did. She did have the best. So we're in Miami at this awful, awful hotel that we were staying at. But it was right by the beach. It was just like two blocks away from the beach. We're doing stupid videos because what else are we going to entertain ourselves with, right? So we go down to do some videos of essentially me bullying Scott the hoof and us doing things through the beach. So we buy some just sand toys, buckets, and shovels, and we make a sand castle and Mike and Scott or Megan sink, as I'm going to kick the sand castle down. So we shoot a couple of good wholesome hijinks. Stupid stuff. So we got all these toys and now we got this all this beach equipment toys, you know? Like little kid stuff. They're a little kid pails. So we're walking. And we're like, well, what are we going to do with this stuff? Mike, we're like, well, we'll just give it to somebody, you know? So Mike's Mike's carrying it all. And so there's a lady sitting on a towel and there's a little kid running around by the water. We're like, okay, there's a lady that's probably her child because she's kind of looks like she's there together. And we come walking up and we get about, I don't know, 6 feet away from her. And it's Mike on the left closest to the water. Me in the middle and Scott on my outside. And we're walking up 6 feet away, maybe 5 feet away, might goes to ask this lady if she wants these beach toys. And instead of saying, excuse me, ma'am, I've got some beach toys here. We're not using, I don't know, he goes, hey, man, is that your daughter? Yeah, a little creepy. Yeah, as soon as he said it, Scott and I just peeled off. And was the most synchronized peel off. It just came out. See you later. They were completely just turned to the right. Yeah, it was, but it wasn't like you were like, excuse me, man. I know. I know. Hey, is that your daughter? Oh my gosh. It was one of those things that you know you say something, and the moment it passes over your lips, you're just want to go, no. Grab it, Brad, bring it back. Yes. Oh my God. Yes. She looked at me. She looked at me absolutely horrified. And I literally, I've never felt so small. I was so mortified. It was. And of course, you two, great foxhole guys that you are. Oh my God. We were drawn. Well, we thought the cops would be there any minute. It was dead. I gotta get out of here. Oh my goodness, gracious. That was funny. That was funny. That was the video where we get behind that. Whatever the trash can, like we're naked. We're on a nude beach. Meanwhile, there are people behind us. There's a cop car behind us on the beach, and we're acting like we're naked. Yeah, that was fun. Those are fun. These are fun videos. Yeah, fun times. Fun times. Oh, okay. We had to go back to the Alabama. Where were we? Thank you. That's it. That's what's going on at the dead of sports dot com front page. Check out all of the content there. It is constantly updated and refreshed throughout the day. James Harden gave him a beautiful new Rolex watch that said 23 MVP. Clearly an inspired group. Philadelphia team. Right. Overjoyed to have their leader, their MVP back. They should not only alive. They are well as they budgeted the sixers in game two to even the Eastern Conference Semifinals the final score one 21 to 87. Just a 34 point loss. The embiid effect. Yes. "I do agree with James that the mistake was made in the front office, not by letting cadre go, but by not adequately replacing him once you saw that the players that you have here were not ready to step up. And that was the biggest mistake because you know what you could have done. You could have gone out as I suggested and bang the table for, you could have gone out and brought back a rhino Riley, who would have given you that kadri type impact on and off the ice. But for a fraction of the cost of having to extend cadre to a long-term contract and have him around on a contract that might not age well. You could have got the Cadbury type effects and impact without making the catering type investment. If you had only gone out and got a guy like Ryan O'Reilly, but you didn't want to give up a first round pick or whatever, great. You're going to have a first round pick in this draft. Can't wait for draft day. Can't wait for the NHL draft. That's going to be awesome. When the app's picked some guy who, even if he's lucky enough to make it in the NHL, we won't see for another three or four years. I love Joe sakic. I barely have a bad thing to say about Joe sakic. Maybe this isn't even Joe sakic's front office anymore. Maybe it is all Chris mcfarlane's, but Joe still around Joe's still got an imprint and an impact on it. So there's nothing else to say. This front office really screwed the pooch this year. Really did. And it's why the avalanche just weren't equipped to be able to go out and defend their title. All right, what else we got to Denver sports dot com. We're gonna have Cecil lammy joining us at 8 30 to get his thoughts on the draft this is an interesting nugget put forward pardon the pun by our Jake Shapiro who says that not only are the nuggets poised to win this series already after one game, but he thinks it could be a sweep care to guess where Jake's coming from what his theory is. Michael mallin touched on it during the postgame. They are 5 and zero in the playoffs when they do this and they win 80% of their games this year when they do this. When they out assist the other team. Close.

"You have. What could possibly force a guy to leave his team? Of his own personal choice. But that's not injury related. Right. If it's some serious not injury, but serious health concern, maybe you got something going on, health wise. We've had Ryan Clark on this program a bunch on a love Ryan, but he had that sickle cell. Remember and he wanted to play that playoff game that they lost here to Tim Tebow. And Mike Tomlin goes, dude, this is your life. I'm not allowing you to play. And you're ruled out for a medical reason. Right. I mean, if it's a serious medical reason, maybe there's some maybe there's something going on. I don't like, again, I don't know or serious family reason. But it's got to be. It's got to be something serious before you go chilla whack on them. Chill away. Yeah, I chilled away. So long I've been young, guns alone. You know, chilla wack. You remember the song? Actually, I do know that's all. Yeah. Hey, we're getting ready for yacht rock season, so believe me. I'll hear that about 75 times this summer. Oh man, yacht rockets. On my Yara. I do too. I don't know what it is. I just love it. It's awesome. It's the soundtrack of the summer, man. I enjoyed it. As you get the win tonight. Yeah, yeah, the abs are. The abs are on it right now. And their stars, their stars. Their stars are showing up. They boy, this, and it's why you get a guy, sorry, I hit the horn there, but I'm not done with the abs. But it's why you lose a guy like Val, and we're all left wondering what's the deal, but yet that's been part and parcel of this entire season. Guy in guy out, guy in guy out, and yet, and yet, throughout it all, who's carried this team. Mikko ranton and Nathan McKinnon. And now and by the way, makar looked like McCarthy last year's playoff car. He's missed so much time with the concussions and what he have late in the season. That'd be a lower body. Lower body injury, which is a lower body. Yeah, it could have been upper body injury. It could have just been a body injury. Could it be? Just a general body injury. He was dancing though. Oh, my God. And you watch that guy at the blue line. I don't know. One of his moves at the blue line reminded me of the first the first Top Gun. The first breaks? Yeah, gonna put it on the ratio fly right by. You know? He's just, he's toying with people. And that slapper? Pure. 96. Step right into it. Oh my God. You dream, dream. Of shots like that. Okay. Let's get back to what else is going on here to Denver sports dot com. So it's more stuff. All right, here we go. We got the Broncos draft. I know you were saying earlier the show that this is good. It's good that after all the silliness of the last three coaching regimes, it's good to have an adult in play, and it's good to just have somebody who says, hey, this is the way we're going to do it. We're going to cut down on the noise. We're just going to go to work, and he's followed through with it. But I got to tell you, boy, this has been the perfect storm that I don't want to see repeated. I don't want to see. I can't believe we are sitting here on a Monday. Three days before the NFL Draft. And there is nothing. Going on with the Broncos. But nothing. No draft hype, no big draft buzz. Nothing coming out of strength and conditioning program. I've never seen anything like it in 25 years of covering the Broncos here. I don't ever want to go through this again. It's very jarring to me. It's throw me for a loop. That's what happens when you give away all your draft picks. You want draft coverage. We need to tune in to Brock and sulk and Seattle. See you at the Seahawks are doing with our draft picks. Live vicariously through the Seahawks. Well, the good news is they're going to be able to really turn their focus to the draft by Thursday because the cracker will be eliminated by then. Oh, yeah. Shake that Seattle. Yeah. Suck on that. Anywho. Who's had the rights for us? Lazarus? Well, actually, yes, we have exact Lazarus. We do. I have no idea who Zach is. I've yet to meet Zach. But I've seen some of his work at Denver sports dot com, it's good. I don't know who he is. I don't either. Every time I see Lazarus, I think rise from the dead. Does he does he exist? Is this a real person or is this one of our other people like writing under another name? What do they call that? It's like Stephen King writing under Richard bachman or something. Pseudonym or something. Something like that. I mean, it could be Cecil Annie. Now I'm reading a Cecil lamy article, but maybe Cecil lammy is Zach Lazarus. Um. It's like a Kevin Durant, Twitter burner account. Right, right? Right. Sign heart is. Oh, finkel. Einhard is finger. Fingal is einhard. Einhorn. I don't know. Einhorn? So, Caesar lammy, if that is your real name? Ray fingal. Cecil writes that the Broncos draft approach needs to be as simple as three letters, care to guess what those three letters are. Okay, the simple as three letters. IOU. Go say our picks go to Seattle. Nope. Okay. Try again. All right, I owe you was good. That was good. That's a good reach. Simple, simple as three letters. ABC. I mean, it's simple. But what do they stand for? ABC's is like, that's like what you teach your kids right off the bat. You don't want to get, you don't start it element op, good point. Because that's your next graduate level. Right. No, no. B, P, a, B, P, a, you don't know what BPA support you do hate the draft, don't you? Be best player available. Yes. Oh, my word. Unless you like somebody, right? Then you can move up or move down or move all around. It's like doing it's like doing that dance. You put your right foot in, you take your right foot out. You put your right foot in

"If they were already down, how is it giving up a run the game winner? Well, it turned out to be the game winner, but all because they came back and scored a game back. Do you need me to do you need me to explain to you how I use the losses, get handed out. Boy, you've slipped. No, no. The only reason I've slipped it because I started following hockey. So all these get a pipe. All these shootout losses. Regulations. When does a loss become a win? Explain that yesterday. But you're a little rattled right now. Yeah, I'm a little confused. I got you. No. All right, that's all right. But anyway, Kyle Freeland pitching? Well, pretty well. On that stage, her mom Marquez, pitched very well in this tournament. How much of a boost does that give the rockies rotation going into the season with sort of a battle tested Kyle Freeland? And marques, especially Freeland because, you know, it's been we've been looking at Freeland trying to get back to that level that he was at a few years ago being in this tournament surrounded by those kind of players on Team USA boy I got to imagine that that gives him an immeasurable lift going into the sea. Beam with those kind of players from a pure confidence standpoint and his success you had, I think, certainly it does. But then, you know, on a night and night owl bases when you don't have a team that's going to compete, I'm not just, I'm not saying they're not going to try hard or whatever. I just think from a talent, pure talent standpoint, they're just not going to compete. Well, that's, but that's not. That shouldn't impact Freeland that much. Well, no, now you're taking moral victories. Hey, my win loss record is no good, but my ERA and everything else, that's what you have to take out of the season. That just wears you down, Mike. It's exhausting. When you go out every day and you realize, we're just not quite talented enough to compete on an every night basis. This is interesting. As Cecil lammy reports, the Broncos have done a zoom interview, come on in zoom, this is from Mike klis actually, Micah. Cecil writes the article, but Mike reported. Penn State quarterback and rose bowl MVP Sean Clifford had a one hour zoom visit with Broncos quarterback coach Davis Webb. Yesterday. Clifford, besides 30 headquarter draft visits, teams can have three one hour zoom conferences with prospects leading up to the late April draft. And sea salt projects Clifford to be a third day of the draft guy. Okay, the bottom of the 6, 7th round type of guy. Yes. Why are you looking for your Brock purdy type? Right. When I hear Clifford, I think about the big red dog. Absolutely, who doesn't? There's no other when Clifford is mentioned that's the only thing that pops in your head. Correct. There is not another Clifford that I could think of. More famous than the big red dog. Nobody comes close. No, I mean, Clifford, the big red dog. Goat when you think of when I say Jordan, the only guy you think about is Michael Jordan. I ain't nobody else that you thinking you can have somebody named Jordan, but there's no other name than Clifford is the big red doll. You want to hear something that's gonna Cecil goes scout Y term on his article here, ready? Does he do you want to load this? Okay. So as the Cecil's assessment of Steve Clifford. Okay. He said, Clifford commits one of the ultimate Sims as a quarterback. He stares down his receivers. Scouts call this bird dogging. Like a hunting dog would do when pointing towards wildlife. Bird dogging. Clifford stares at his targets and savvy defenders can make him pay for this critical mistake. Bird dogging. Ross has got some bird dog in him, doesn't he? Sure. Where she come, we do need to come up with a bunch of sea salt like a bunch of fake scouting turf. Besides bird dog and what can we call that? Bird dog. When you just lock in on a receiver like that, we need a Jason Garrett called it with Daniel Jones. He called it red line. Redlining, 'cause he's made for the Giants have a red line on. All right. Red line over here. All right. I'll turn out to the text line. Textures are good at this stuff. Very creative. 303-713-1043. That's what's going on at Denver sports dot com. The Denver sports front page is always open. Scott content for you to check out. Respond to free throughout the course of the day. So check that out. The Azerbaijan. I feel great about them. You do. I feel good. I am right back. We could trust them. Yeah. We could trust them. Sure. In a time in a city where you just, who can you trust, even the nuggets, right? Even this recent slump has done just enough to erode trust. That you just, right now, you feel unsure, uncertain. But with the abs, now do notice, what's the one thing I've been consistent in everything I'm saying here? Can you pick it out? Because I've been leaving little breadcrumbs. What have I consistently been saying about the abs? Do you mean consistency? Right now. Yeah, this is a say about the abs. Yeah, whatever I would say. You've been saying you trust him. Trust him for what? The Stanley Cup. Get through the west. Yeah. But you haven't said to win it. Yeah, I just. I love them in the west. Winning it all, not so sure. That's where I think the absence of a healthy Gabe landscape's going to hurt the most. I think they can get to the Stanley Cup finals without Gabe. I don't think they can win it. So let's say, let's say he misses round one. But he comes back in the middle of round Mark. If he hasn't played and if he hasn't played since June 26th and he's still not ready to go by round one game one, what am I supposed to expect if he jumps in in round two? Well, round two, you're not expecting much, but then you get to the Western Conference Finals. And he's worked out the kinks. Come on, sounds like you're trying to convince yourself. I've got some experience with this, Mike. How so? Well, our first playoff run in endeavor our first Super Bowl championship run. I missed, I was out 27 days with back surgery. Came back to practice, didn't play that weekend, just came back and got a little bit of practice time in. And then I had played, so I hadn't played in over a month and ended up starting against Jacksonville when we ran them out of the building. We had 300 yards rushing in them. In that particular game, I was not sharp. But you had played all season. I missed four over four weeks with a major back surgery. Yeah, but you had played before then. And let's face it. Plain offensive line is not nearly be careful. Does not require nearly the amount of conditioning, stamina and athleticism that goes with playing hockey in the Stanley Cup class every single, every other night. Sorry, it just doesn't. If you can play every other night, it means that the physical strain of the game is not that hard. Oh,

"You're not immediately saying yes is kind of all turning. Off the top of my head, 12, 13 years in the league, I mean, really? Of nobody matures? A small handful. Really? So kind of what you are when you come in is who you are for the duration of your career? No, I'm saying that most of the guys who come in like that become victims. And don't ever develop into their full potential. I just want to go somewhere where I'm respected. I just want to go, it's always against me. Ever heard Jim Rome talk about softball guy. You know, the dude that will spend more money on his bat than his kids will go hungry and softball guy shows up wearing baseball pants. Right. Batting glove hanging out of the back pocket. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Talks about how he would have gone. He'd have gone the MLB if only if they only didn't his coach didn't hate him in high school because every high school coach hates the generational talent that comes through their school that actually would change the trajectory of the guy's career, right? Guys the best hitter. He's a 5 tool player. He's the best athlete we've ever had. The guy's got a hose. He dipped out of the hate him. I hate him. I hate him. You know, most guys who come in become and it doesn't work out for them. They become victims. Okay, how about this? How about we find some common ground with Jerry Judy this way? If I had to bet right now, if he becomes a star in this league, like one of the top 5 receivers in the NFL, I wouldn't make that bet. However, with where the Broncos are right now and their lack of talent, I'd at least hold on to him and roll the dice. If you can't get if you can't get great value for him, I agree. And there's always going to be there's always a few guys like that, you know, rolled in and maybe weren't as professional as they needed to be. And developed into really good football. Like, Trevor price comes to mind. Like Trevor price was he was a guy that we just beat up on. And then he figured it out over the course of that rookie year and started Ian became a really good player here with the Broncos. So it just, I think there's just more guys I've seen over the course of my career that don't. Or they need a change of scenery before they actually accept like Chris Carter in Philly. He needed a change of scenery. He needed a not yanked in his chain before he came and took responsibility for his lack of production maturity, you know, the different issues that he had. So I think there's a lot of those stories, but usually you have to go to your next team before you actually take responsibility for your immaturity. All right, good article there, will. Plenty of debate on that one. Check that out at Denver sports dot com. Check out what Cecil lammy wrote this morning. The Broncos have options if they look for a wide receiver in the draft. File these names away, rashee rice from SMU, he has as a second rounder. We talked about this guy already AT Perry. Fever, what is the AT stand for again? Notorious. Victorian, a Torian. AT Perry. 18 Perry. Says that he looks like the next Tim Patrick. 80 Perry filed that one way. And what about if you're 18 Perry? If you're looking for your burner, your KJ handler, your track star. Yeah. How's that worked out for us? Trey Palmer from Nebraska. So just some names to file away. When it comes to, I went back and looked at this yesterday, Sean Payton's track record in New Orleans with receivers. One thing is clear if he, if he likes you, he does not have a problem spending a high pick on a receiver. Did it with Brandon cooks? As a first round pick, did it with Michael Thomas as a second round pick, but also found some diamonds in the rough. Marcus colston was a 7th rounder. Yeah, remember. But one thing is clear, he loved the idea of a number one receiver. And that number one receiver putting up big numbers. You know, cooks had a 1200 yards, two 11 under the two 1100 yard seasons. Michael Thomas, 1214, 1700. The other great thing that I noticed when going back and looking at ten years, his last ten years, coaching in New Orleans, boy he loves throwing the running backs. On average, his running backs over a thousand yards receiving a year. And that was even before Alvin Kamara. Oh, yeah. That's one of the things about his offense and I told you, talking to somebody, he said, usually I have to prepare, prepare for about ten different screens per game. With Sean, like any given, they got 60 screens in their offense. 60 different ways to get it. He's like, it's ridiculous. One thing it was also noticeable once Michael Thomas got hurt and started losing some of his effectiveness. Payton's offenses adjusted. And boy, did they spread it around? Routinely, 8, 9 guys over 200 yards or more receiving. So play to what you got, right? Yeah, for sure. You don't like this receiving room though. I know we have my tests on earlier and Mike said, hey, listen, you know, this is what you do this time of year. GM's play GM, you may calls, you kick tires, all this and that. It's one of the fun things about being a GM, playing GM, but still, you pursue Alan lazard, you, according to Adam Thielen, pursue Adam Thielen, you got cortland Sutton out there. He knows his name is out there in rumors because his agent told him so enough for him to tweet about how disrespected he is. I think the mess is being sent loud and clear. Sean Payton does not like this receiving room. But why? All right? When you look at all the receivers that he had, the Marcus colston's the Lance Moore's, the Kenny stills, the Brandon cooks, the Michael Thomas, the Ted ginn junior's of the world, Willie snead, what are those receivers have that tell you this is what he wants? That he's not seen when he looks at this group. I think the I think the big thing is, is that you have a legit big time number one. A guy that, like I said, earlier in the program, when I go back and kind of look, not a burner, really good football player that's big, strong, physical, that can run the dirty routes, the underneath stuff can run the slack and catch one of 5 yards, shake a tackle and make a big play out of it. Can, you know, run the shallow cross in traffic. Not be afraid of getting hit by a linebacker. Catch the ball, like do that, do that dirty work stuff, body up a guy on the outside on a 50 50 ball and just win that back. So pain thinks this wide receiving group is soft. Come on, yeah. I don't think there's, I don't think there's any question. Outside of maybe Tim Patrick. Yeah, you put on the film, you would say, yeah, this is not this group is not as tough as I'd like. Soft. Okay. Listen, I hope, and I hope every one of those guys is offended. I hope every single one of those guys is completely offended. We ought to be offended by me. You can be offended by me. I'll tell you the truth, but I'll be offended by exactly what they're doing over there because they're giving you they're giving you the game plan. They want to replace you. They're giving you the itinerary, how they feel about you.

"Hey guys. Stout and dry. Rocky Mountain men's clinic, anybody. Next, we got free agent center, Cecil lammy, writing about free agent centers. All right, offensive line. All right, see so looking to get rid of kush. Yeah. Talks about skipping. Garrett Bradbury. Oh, but he's had some injury issues, missed some time. Out of Minnesota, he was everybody's favorite was a first rounder like the 23rd, 24th overall pick when Tommy was doing the show with Tommy nealon was doing the show with D Mac. Tommy loved Garrett. He had good player. I don't know that he's turned out to be as top notch as people thought he was going to be. Wait, would you consider center a need or would are you happy to run it back with a healthy kush? Listen, I wouldn't pay, I wouldn't overpay for a Garrett Bradbury. I just, I don't think Garrett's one he's kind of undersized. I just don't think he's been and I haven't watched all the Minnesota games, obviously, but I just don't think he's been what people thought he was going to be coming out of college. He's been good. He hasn't been, he hasn't been stellar by any stretch of the imagination. So why are you going to overpay for that? Yeah, I just think that that's a position that you should be able to find a guy. To be able to find a guy. Now, when it comes to the O line, would you bring back if the number was right, would you bring back Dalton reisner? If the number was right, yeah, would I bring back Dalton risner? Yeah, I would. But you wouldn't extend. To bring back Dalton reisner. No, I wouldn't. If don't riser came at you and there was there was he tested the free agent market and market was fairly soft for him. Would I consider bringing him back? Yes. Oh, wait. Do you think the league will look at Dalton as a guy that. Was just was just hampered in hamstrung by the situation he was in. Poor quarterback play over the years, poor offensive coordinators over the years or teams over the years and therefore somebody will look at him really favorably. And he'll get priced out of what the Bronco is one of them. That's how I assume it'll be. And remember, the injury last year that he missed time with was what an elbow? Like not one that you get too overly concerned with if you're an NFL franchise right on the medical side. So yeah, I would imagine that he will get credit for playing in a horrible offensive situation over the last four years of his career the first four years of his career. Jake Shapiro at Denver sports dot com writing as the rest of Colorado sports keeps rolling, the rockies getting left in the dust. Maybe Jake, maybe you haven't been paying attention, Jake, to what's been going on in spring training. The rockies may not lose a game. Do I need to remind you about this? "cecil lammy" Discussed on Schlereth and Evans

"Idaho. Nationwide. We're proud. Back when the NFL had scab players. Denver had some of the best attendance. I think that I'm actually, it's funny that mace brought this up because I've always been surprised. That when these fledgling leagues try to get something going, that Denver hasn't been included. Because I would think that Denver would be. As sure a shot of being a successful XFL USFL indoor arena football league franchises you'd get. Right. I'm surprised they haven't tried to put one here. So I think if they put one here, even if it didn't include T Bo, I think we do all right. By the way, did you see what the Jersey rock war for the XFL debut games when he's out there pumping the X he's a part owner of the XFL? I did not. But what did it say? He wore the number 54 Jersey. Is that what he wore in Miami? No, he said he was, he said that the NFL rosters have 53 guys, and he was the 54th. All right. Which is, you know, his story is. They still talks about it. When we were together doing ballers, he would always ask me questions about the NFL, and it was his biggest yet, it still eats him. They didn't make it, that he wasn't good enough to make it. Really? Yeah. There's one guy walking this planet who I would think would have no regrets who would be Dwayne The Rock Johnson. No, that was his, that was his dream to make an NFL and didn't work. One more here on the Denver fan front Denver sports dot com front page. Hold on, let me find it. D Mac writes about Gabe land is God's return. We saw Gabe walking down the hallway with his beautiful kids after the game on Saturday and then we saw video of him skating yesterday. Sunday, he was these three day weekends. Right. To Sunday he was skating. Sunday, he was, he was at the game. Okay, Sunday at the game. Yesterday, he was skating, which was Monday. Yes. Which brings us to Tuesday. Where we are right now. Serious question, you know, injuries. You are the fans injury expert. Yes. Here's the guy who hasn't played since last June. Just now getting starting to skate. Abs got about 25 games left in the regular season. Isn't enough time to get ramped up to be ready to go and merging onto the autobahn. For the playoffs. So 25 games puts you at about what 6, 7 weeks left? To get 25 games in before the playoffs. Oh boy, hold on. Oof. This is such a math question. We're sitting here on February 21st. Yes. The abs regular season ends. On April 14th, April 14th. So we're looking at about two months left. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, less than a half. I said, I said 7 weeks, right? Yeah, 6 8 weeks. Yeah, okay. 7 weeks is right between 6 and 8. Anywho, I would imagine you would be able depending on how you respond to the skating and everything. I would imagine that after about four weeks you could ease yourself back into ease yourself back into that kind of being ready to go. So you would ease yourself into after four or 5 weeks you could ease yourself in for a couple of weeks where you're getting some spot duty, you're rotating in. I would imagine that that would that would work out. Don't you think? Sliding into the playoffs? This whole thing, and I'll make it quick. This whole thing with him is just there's a murkiness to it that I just don't like that makes me nervous because we are conditioned as sports fans. To slot knee injuries into a certain category. Okay? You got a sprained knee? You got to be out a couple of weeks. Right. You got arthroscopic surgery. You got to get some loose bodies out of there. You're out four to 6, right? Taran ACL? You're out. 6 to 8 to 12 months. Yeah. There's nothing about Gabe's journey that slots into any of this. Right. Which makes me nervous. I mentioned that Cecil in his column brought up a concern about Rex Ryan. That I want to get to. Basically, it comes down to this. The Broncos may want Rex. But does Rex really want this? That's next. When the day is done, the game is over and you need a break from all the stress relax in your tub or shower from bath fitter. You're gonna need a bigger pot each time for slathering Evans, big story of the day. What is this that you're so? You saw him. Pig, he was slower than Evans with this morning's biggest story in Denver sports. Venture that's a Cecil lammy. Loves watching quarterbacks with their shirts off. Wrote an article Denver sports dot com about how Sean Payton is showing patience and putting together his staff and patience is a virtue here. Okay, but in his article, he wrote about Rex, Ryan. And let me read directly from his piece here, Cecil writes, quote, the Broncos need Ryan to prove he can make an already good defense even better. I've had too many sources with the bills. It told me Ryan did not show the same dedication that Sean McDermott now does as the head coach. I've heard too many stories about Ryan having bankers hours and not putting in the work compared to what McDermott did when he was hired. Do you, I love the idea of Rex, love it. Love it, love it, love it. But if there's one little nagging thought in the back of my mind, it concerns me is how much does he want this? How
