It's Ole Gone Wrong: Manchester United lose to Sheffield United

"United losing at home missing the chance to go top of the table defeated by bottom of the table. Sheffield united registering. Just second win of the season craig. I wanted to this happen. Possession but but really never trouble chef united gold out many times. Keep with enough to make that. Many saves chef united defended brilliantly. I mean phil. Jackie ohka failty. I think as robot the years bedtime and recent games is gone back to the tried and trusted in midfield which was from flake and norwood. Those guys have been up to save for parts of the season and that was the fulcrum of of their team last year. And in fact. I said i go back to basics here. This was the chef united. We saw last year scrapping and fighting and defend in trying to feed off scraps the other side and united was sloppy. I mean you look at the second goal it was. I think was go on ahead. So wasn't wasn't buck. I thank you boys was bought. Another joke guzman is so much time in the bulks on two occasions was bar and it was on the players within five yards new-look to and there were sloppy so when nine days doesn't have a sparkling game or russia doesn't have a sparkling game. This united say just lacks the guy that we saw from manchester city yesterday. How do you explain that. Defending the second goal. Steve is really weird. Well you just think in some ways when you play against a team league sheffield united. Who bottom of the league. You've pegged them back and you kind of you kind of think it's just going to happen. You're just going to go on and get the one up and so you drop certainly level of intensity because as far as quality it wasn't really there for united but the intensity was there to get equalizer and i think once they did that just a little drop. And that's what happens you know. Nobody takes the initiative. Nobody you know certainly usually when somebody has the ball at the feet in the box. You'd expect to not just one but two defenders could be gone in either thrown overboard in the line or just making a good solid challenge of get close enough. That didn't happen and that to me is just took a little bit easier after the equalizer thinking the all that to do is just see to score and we see today. Why manchester united win. The title. Worldwide tipped to win the league but craig was talking about. They had fantastic possession but mashes united. Can't handle possession and that's the probably you go. From beating liverpool liverpool keane had initiative. They went up and then scored. But i will also a respect scheffler united for their performance. I mean you could say. They deserve the window game because in the second half would it should be a pressure from manchester united at putting cavan on. There should make all kinds of efforts to get at least equalize. It didn't happen. I can't remember the chef. United goalkeeper had to make any big saves any big interceptions. Sometimes it came for crosses. So i think that that was mentioned uniting loosing on dreadful day of manchester united in the like marcial his buddy which is not even european europa league. Ins- it's down in the go. We don't championship. I can't believe how sometimes goes along on the pitch

"And one of the sound guys job. Among the show goes on the job was was a relationship. Caroline lady from channel four. Comedy do you commissioned channel four. You're gonna accommodate. And she was doing comedy laps half hour comedy right and he's fed. He's funny he's funny he's river and we and basically she what is commonly left. If you can pitch night there you might get. It's a half hour comedy and We will have yeah we. We're going to pitch an idea. And we pitch his finkel things to do and hawks ten when you're dead and it was basically about ear mazing job. And then when he came back he was with these terms. Thumbs that just sponging off the governor and it was amandine denture extremes jackson division between it's amazing job at least and it wasn't the funniest thing on we were trying to keep it really lucky documentary but it was in was endearing and any little pace that we might this fifty thousand pounds this film. We were trying to expand your budget wise lake and basically that was the bike because carolina and he said oh you can do comedy you can go fund balance allow so she said smack the pony Do you know smack remember smack. The pony was led by the hand free gals then looking for token blokes in that. And whether you going to do a casting in hit a along met victoria power. The cost got the job. I know that was my first job. And it was comedy in this thing that was quite successful and then it was granbury so groundbreaking do a little funny things in my eyes every now and again tyke own honey. That's comedy. But i have no idea what i was doing. I was just bad and then is another another bad luck while those that there was a sketchy myself in barron boyd and it was supposed to go in the in the foreground and we were supposed to be in the background and the goes supposed to be doing george and me and i'm just supposed to be million a bat in the back and then as we started doing. These costs adopted danzig together. And and and then the relax really funny. He's a house by just sort of let she's seducing themselves and dancing reductive late and they ended up putting ours that junk at the phone and and just looking at and then what happens is up for the throughout the show and we'd be crazy talks about hip hop on all this j dancers let that become the gag and said oh you guys a funny together you guys you should have your own show what. She's just messing around. But then stitching six like we were doing a comedy lab another comedy lab. For just doubt los dos. Bros and it was. It was really fun. It was just. We are just four. Here's the funniest around on earth. And he would just make me laugh law and we just improvised. Moody's this stuff. And we done this comedy lab him. And then they basically commissioned us to show a not we've done and that was that was that was an age of the back of suddenly become combine demand. I mean i ad damazin caroline. Letty just like literally. I would not be if it wasn't for a total of gratitude and i'd narration for. She's amazing amazing woman. She took a pound on the kid. Just bleaching nothing about it should be. Even i was doing comedy took me years to appreciate the value of it and actually understand and and and i think at some point that was all in all i wanna be. I wanna be serious Accident and a nine eight took me a long time. She sort of learned that. There was real value value in comedy. Not everyone can do it. And and not well exactly. That's my point. I was talking to nigel. Play now the other week. And he was saying that he fallen into accommodate was a complete accident for him because he didn't want he wanted to quote unquote be serious data. Yeah well like. I said before and i'll say again nothing. I think if if you can master comedy which is an endless book of knowledge that you never get to the end of but if you've got comedy bones and you understand so the rudimentary of comedy. I think it's good grounding full quote unquote series. Data i really do timing irony those things but when you because it comes because notes comedy comes from a place of truth. The all the the best. This is stuff that i love now. So you know we talk about muscle and is dark but underneath it for me. That's like this really dark humor and jet black but coming from it from a really very truthful place a main and so get those parts where there is just a. There's a long. There's there's a real passed underneath that. I mean it's you're above reactive and plus you've now you learn unilat- to make these lines funny as well so yet so it was a great education for me and some point i was like because because even though soon stuff like i said i was on alan clark and mike leigh and ken loach and own those people and i wanted to do social realism. That's where i'll really want it. Still some point. I had to say okay. I'm not gonna do comedy anymore. Because i want to break into this other thing because everybody did mommy for that for that and i think as an actor. Sometimes you've just got guy but asa yourself in order to to get on the phone just tanking stones and just go. I'm not going to do the comedy stuff anymore. And then what happens is you. Luckily if you're lucky enough to break for drama than people still be for that you can. You can do both which is where you want the anyway it's like i'd love to do comedy scripted by as a one. Just be boxed into just doing that alone. But that's why i think it's so important sometimes and i said this to to younger actors is to say no set just. I know. i know you're boston to work on. No you're dying to get your teeth into this but say no to this. An you'll reap the rewards along the way or something else we'll call instead of just instead it going to the buffet table on filling up your shopping or f.a.s.t. Just just take your time absolutely. And i think that if you're an activist in phone to ring you've got very limited american of your career. One of them is to now which is really tough as well. Because terry you gotta make a living and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you just got. Don't do that. But i'm gonna do it because i need the money on. Eat our need to secure. If it's watson popped up yes some other points you've just got a hold out and and just ready so i'm and he's tough. I'm telling you it's not easy. It's really really hard to do that. The other thing of course is just a make your own work while you wait for the phone you know be create and stuff and actually has the agent as a secondary thing you know what mike films get community not. Just be busy busy busy busy. It's going to stop you going getting trashed it's going to. It's going to keep you open..

"Your chris early certainly early on for quite a significant chunk of time. You saw a comedy guy. Yeah you you put you at whether you put yourself in that bracket or you put into the bronco by the business and we all know the time we have no control over. What avenue game pushed down put. You were cavern. And he does his common and he you. you'll know him and he keeps popping up in that look. Barry's and in between his own look is absolutely magnificent in pollen and and then all of a sudden kind of changes it was. That was that something that was conscious. I had an amazing string of luck. A think i. I don't think it was just luck. I think i was ready. I was jumping on stuff. And that would make this film enter the dragon from behind and then got me into this mike and guy who some of the fans advert in the guardian. They were looking for presenters for travel program and landing planet travel program and mickey might just video. It was it was the most reverend via. I didn't think that we can get the job. And so the whole thing was these sort of Pretend to be a presenter and do a show and then send off shower and at the end of these real show will. He was in a catholic in prison. Getting right camera fled to say. They didn't give a shit right. They care and they said this video off and got the job. They literally tape and it was like channel. Four's travel program is called. Lonely planet was based on the books and it was competing with rough guide that was on the baby and he was suddenly was getting at alaska and brazil. And all the matinees mad prices on the back of making the so upon the video and so two was is this. I'm going back to the string of luck that happened. It got this job my.

"He used to solve crimes as well. It wasn't just stunned. I'm sure he asked to show. It was a lot of story of the week thing. Fill the full people have been shot in this out for the last twenty seconds. So yeah so. I didn't know i don't think i knew that you could actually based on and i just love the idea of it and then i'll i go into acting Well was in this again. In on hawks applies kazakhstan. The whole which we were just running and terrorized everyone in there and joined chason just just that was the thing and then when we go out the we realized that you could they were doing they were doing community causes so that have lots of creative gases and we realized that they had stuff that you could make so there was a lot video cameras and stuff like that sharing. I know cameras in there. We should get in there and nick some of this stuff and so me and my went in. We signed up with moody names into this. 'cause just for on the video kosovo could make the camera and then i go in there and was a couple of guys downstairs. Doing these comedy sketches. Basically just like derek and clive style. Things i was always go. I was literally strapped to a crucifix. Smoking the fact telling go to do wait. a minute. Nightly was glad that wanted to nikola cameron in the first place was like eternally to the buff was oh quite like video cameras and technology and all that stuff so we ended up just going around the block. All my mind's win in the flats having a powerful wherever we would just we would literally hard from them run into oxygen holden and do this class every week and and And then the who doing these. Like in mickey. They basically took his under the win. They said if you wanna if you want to get involved get involved and we ended up first films that we made were. Were jeremy bagel. You'd send jeremy bay though We ended up just making these films where we just fucking really her ourselves for younger listeners. We need point which. I don't want to be the host of you've been framed. You'd be finding two hundred and fifty quid if you send in a genuine. Have an appetite video ad. Thomas folding over other pratfall my so we saw a lot so we decided loads of literally off ladders onto wire getting hit by calls lately just in where we could really her astros and then and the idea was. We were going to get two hundred and fifty quid to. I don't know if we have any off but we just had such a laugh making these films and then that basically that grew to us making sketches every week and then we another one summer. We made this film called. Enter the dragon from behind a ninja epic and we literally Every way with mike. And what are we have. We might will join us to another saying and we would improvise stuff and it was amazing. It was all over that summer for me. That completely changed my life. And i've gone into that place hawks and just a little bowl of rage or wherever and these guys are just four fucking commies wherever they were just fucking amazing. They just was like coming sound. And we're gonna we're gonna let you can nickelsville outcome if you want but you can have. It will teach you make films and we're going to open your world. And they did. They just dies in crack man. It was amazing light industry that in a week that taiwan. And yeah you know. And then all over the over that period of charm we'd be invited more might be china. This is just blindly what we're doing so out of guys that would just literally be knocking people out and that wouldn't have any interested in this sort of stuff coming into the music. Come in and get involved in video classes. I remember one time we went to do a shoots and stuff and the dragon from and it was fifteen kids all in the wardrobe getting dressed up going that so i that this massive fire in the middle of hawks and straight completely chaotic but we went not the envy of the film that because we were literally this autonomous group really talking to the youth around that area just gone common and mike in these films might leave crazy stuff and so it. It's just amazing. It was it was incredible. And you know we literally made a feature film over on a and we had no idea to make a feature film. We didn't even if you're in front of the camera your actions. If you're holding the camera you were filming. The show is downstairs to this. Big pneumatic edit machine. Troncon calm calm calm. We learn to edit stuff out as the films who used to. We'd get poem films. Vhs on the most spectators confirmed with with and would literally cut ourselves into porn films. Only speak there was one of them stuck off competition and and we just kind of fell into it had done pretending in fact off and then put it in for the competition because another competition hawks. No at the end of every month to show the films released thirty pull fuel just pissed off about but he was creative and we were learning and it was. Yeah it was not. I'm not gonna pretend. Enter the dragon from beyond was not off. It wasn't it was awful and it's not that you already said yourself. What an incredible summer that was. You already learning how to. I mean once you get older the poem from your pay more craigslist and by the end of it. We had learned to make a film. We were thinking that shops so we were thinking about like. How do we make that more dramatic. Thinking about suspense. We were to. It would really just told us elves the that process it was it was incredible and years later made a feature film and i. I just had the one thing i did have was. The faith are could do it because otherwise terminent was nothing new. Our new film la that confidence that i did have to be a good way to fill a dirty so we can do this. You know so. That was so many that was somebody people do. Make foam salute -solutely terrible but they've made they've got three doughnut. You know what if anyone listening wants to be of a film micro wants to gain. Actor aren't my advice is just my ship. Mike shit makes it makes shit shit mike. Sure and then soon you'll go up. Let's not shit that last one. That is a little bit better than that shit. He won and that she this not share. This is do is get into the practice of just mike and mike in make i think what happens is we all on for perfection and perfection is the killer of creativity you know is just -solutely be perfect. Martin scorsese was in perfect. You know what. I mean like inmates and staff and then you go to go back that and you know and then he's got all of that experience behind him so i always tell people if i'm saw of just might rubbish but just get into an practice of making stuff. I mean a lot where we are. Now you don't have to be going into a hostile hall and thinking about staying big bulky video karma everybody's got in the car with them all the time they've all gone. I mean you got the whole you've got the on your phone..

"To knock on the doors and run but we couldn't well that's point 'cause dot is a different yes all all around cooling solit- well we would have called it. Nakata's run no cadeau allows very some barriers to someone told me it was called something else on what they said but yeah so different names for but we would knock down ginger. We come just playing uptown gingy. We dive off the balcony a cell phone farley and saw the route that about you know what i mean we just happened to be like much danger as possible so we just spent most of them just getting up to sort of gp icicle. Kids makkinen found guy that are messing about. The phone is not normal billion. And you know part of me. I've got two kids now and part of me is just please. Just i want you to get out in. The roads wanted to go to the park. I want you to get child china. I want them to get into trouble. Just don't stuck indoors and their playstations or wherever or really feel. I mean privileged live in this in london. Just got to. You've got to be poverty and eastern just now though there are no You know. I definitely don't know that but i don't want my kids to be scared of another want. Feel scared i want to know to go of course and also as parents. We've gotta remember that. There is no ultimate safe place. Like of course we're going to worry about children but there is this fictitious safe place where there's no crime but nothing terrible happens doesn't exist. There is danger everywhere. But i suppose what you're talking about is being straight wise. I think it streetwise. But i also think is i think i filled out. We are just a lot more freedom. Kids got when i was a kid and the kids are seeing now. That seem to be so. I think that we do live in a place which is very fearful on. Try to fight against that. Obviously a duke done. I feel about my kids and stuff. I'm not just like yeah. I think it's important that they just have some freedom and have some fun really. Yeah well especially if the kind of fun and learn about it this year one county. So when did you mentioned there about whether you're one hundred series or not about being a stump where when did the act tin so of crepe anti-life well a bit later on. I mean i went so so that was a primary school. I went to secondary school in an old street. Which is a much different vibe. So i've gone. Sorry just a. What respects was that. I did realize. In retrospect and that's been good water. The kids watson the school that i'd come from i'd say last multicultural but still still no. He told you there was definitely a a big distinction. Go streets and allston. And i had no idea about rice or anything like that because i just had no idea about it. I mean it was just yeah and then when i go to that school the suddenly like okay like nutrition. Keep up a black going forward. You know i mean that's sort of an and then my mom is turkey ship it as soon as i found out that that was going on. Yeah that was another thing. It was a non english or number is what then you are going to get antagonized a bit you know why so you become a target much. Some of the other kids just just suddenly aware there was this thing going on a main that you've asked me about stance of going into this but not an hocutt. So that's hit. Which does it with children though and that they don't say anything no nah. That's that's what that's all all those. This is where it was. I think this is what i was getting into so suddenly always then my very weather. I thought i'd get scorned. The that have pushed a lot of aaron rodgers in more whether the locker era rappers eros made from bubbles squeaking company von his findings. Greek i turkish so therefore must be greg logic. Live just like going all around the house just over bubbly. Sometimes that was a bubble and that was for the of is about what was get into was. Then you had the climatized that not gonna get bully there or am i just going to be one of the guys and i ended up being one of the just in that little gang of lot people are going to be. I was going to be one of the tough kids. You know what. I was going to get beyond. Wasn't going to be intimidated so i think will happen. Then with the stunts suddenly become a bit more. We still looking for the adrenaline. But it was a more aggressive place that we would go into to look for. The german engineer made always in a little gain in that. So i'm in hawks. Turn because most of my mates lifting hawks fan. And that's that's what we've become a little over game where we would be looking for the genuine everyday and in doing stupid things but was a violent things and and aggressive thing. So i think that's where i was going with that but in terms of being a stunt man. I don't know if i really knew you could be a stump managed just like the idea of being the summer especially when you're young when you're really young you don't go to the pitchers and go. Oh that's what they do for a living. You just got on bain entertain that you don't think that is a viable career to the body doyle and and of hazards in the with that. And i was just i love with that. That guy's see the cult sabres. Jimmy was he knew the majors play. The guy coat cba zuber's stumped and six million dollars million was It was just man. Yeah he no eighty two song. What is that. People are gonna be listed as the bill comes to me in a minute. It was lima bit in the bath. He was just the coolest off a radio balls..

"Three months. And you're gonna like this is a once in a lifetime thing. And that's why i wanted to talk about the mechanics of failure. But the other thing. I was twenty some of the other day and they were saying. They're talking about london specifically and and friends and actors and i was saying well i can count on one hand. A not fellate. Exactly who is left in london now to beta everybody's around you know even now even all scarred. But you've you've stated that but you you're born that i was boom in some buffalo hospital under the sound of bow bells bows in cheek side. I was born a couple of minutes to twelve. Midnight embarked so mature company. Apparently there's a funny story about my died from all my dad's from county cavan and that's get my name of kevin so i was actually born on july the twelfth which is injured i in in the s and in two which was the heart of the trouble was close. You can imagine so. I don't know if this is true. I think it's probably not true at story anyway. The apparently you know my dad was literally to holy main for two minutes more blades. Just how mamad him alive for twelve hours. Play just i. Yes that was that true. Now let's go with two. I liked that story. Yes richard haass. Bill and i lived in boston in in which was just an amazing incredible place to live Really vibrant and colorful and not a lack of amazing multicultured place on and it was a great place to grow up. I lived on on on kingsman valued which is a main road. And i'm sad. He's there was a market across the road from us. Go to waste which was actually packed. They sold lots of bric a brac and at the time. When i was young they sold lots of vegetables and there was some different characters. Might sodas amazing place and also there would be marches. There will be demonstrations. Every saturday was very political place and it was almost accountable every side. I look up with dance along to these people singing and marching for the local hospital or guns is really a very very vibrant wonderful place to live. I feel very fortunate to have been brought up. I mean it was. It was edgy as well. You know i think had me. At the time was one of the lowest bars in bicycling in england. You know a maintenance certain so did that edge to it in a black taxi. Drivers would not stop in in in dose. No hackney just drive. Strike first he could. You can get a cab if you need apart from. Actually there's applicable to see show restroom is efficient shop restaurant across the of my house and they would start there every friday a massive q. Of just like black taxi drivers just getting the best fish and chip in in london. But never just get in and that we'd never picked a metal so yeah i had a great song get. It was wonderful. Still live literally lived in the mall radius. Pretty much all my life and my mom still lives. I was going to say. You've you've always kind of knocked about the area. Really as long as i live as a student living heck now time nip victoria and hawks for a while and just literally at the tomorrow a mile radius. Much more like my mom still lives down in the place. Rose wife goes for those. 'cause does not part of that community and it really sounds like he is a community that you say need to outside as an owner that think. Oh it sold edgy. And it's those lots of knife crime and all that if if you break down. It's not really i mean. Of course there is parts this everywhere. I feel safer now than i did. When i was a kid but i just remember feeling like there's thing is if you're scared of the dog it will bite you and i've never felt scared of it. You know i just felt like this was my place and and actually it was. It was like when i go into my teens. At things to it was much more scary and much more violent than much more aggressive. The gone up as a kid in promised. I was oblivious to any of it was just a an amazing place we hang around the holly street state which is no longer avenue. Mother like toilet time but there was an adventure playground in the middle of that that place we just loved and my does just filled with a wanted to be a stunt man. When i was a kid some odd is we just slot filled with just trying to do the most stupidest things plus if my brother collie with a literally be sitting out on the floor the massive anxiety over the hanging fucking.

"Three to twenty twenty-eight you think fans would turn against you know. I think you know you. You have that window. Were obviously you're you're probably the best team going Because you actually if if you if you look at it like you don't win you're back to back titles until I obviously sell off my pieces and twenty six year so you're welcome for Your your opportunity to win more than one title because selling off pieces. They just got old. No that's how it happened because they were probably if the next decade draft. We're only like what five years in these guys are. Getting their age thirty season or in their early thirty so now we just sold off some assets and we were rebuilding for like literally. We were about to see the turnaround. We cut off date at twenty twenty nine so if we had kept going okay take. My team was going to be good again. That's interesting because he did. The Guy did send the screen shots of what our rosters like at the end of the simulations which whatever maybe people have stopped listening at this point but this is kind of funny for people who spent time drafting and following the draft. A few things to note. We'll start with Dallas team by the time twenty. Twenty-nine Rolls Around Dallas has only two ninety plus players left on his roster. Okay everybody WHO and by the way by the way his offense is not even close. He has one ninety plus player. His next closest guy is an eighty ranked player his his offensive players in ninety plus is number one pick francisco indoor who who apparently aged quite well and his number one is ninety plus pitcher. Oh Hey Zeus Luzardo was actually his highest ranked player on his team at ninety four in two thousand twenty nine. Jt Real Muto's you expect probably has no knees by twenty. Twenty-nine a serious yeah. He broke the record for games caught. Sometimes for the two thousand twenty six season I think and then apparently broke. Both legs pelvic to play Our Buddy bryce harper down to sixty. Nine Max Muncie down to sixty five jared team from a ratings perspective and a little bit better shape victim. Robots the best player on my team. Victor Oh give me shit for that. Pick Ninety seven batting leadoff for Jared Vlad. Junior also developed as expected. He's ninety six and twenty twenty-nine outside of that. It's a mix of low eighties and seventies guys. Mike Saroka a ninety two. Who's your third. Pitcher clever retired which he's not listed as did Garrett Cole on my team but my team probably could have won with no pitchers on the roster because of how well the offense aged Ninety eight ninety seven ninety eight ninety nine ninety five ninety and ninety. Those are seven of my nine offensive players opinions and ninety nine bellinger ninety eight. Totti's ninety seven ninety eight shot ninety five Adly Rodman developed so you guys will be happy to hear that he's in ninety From from the streets L. Marva all the way to the Big Leagues Rafael Devers. Eight one too many ice cream sandwiches or whatever you guys say. No he's still there he's batting. Last seventy four. So he's still kicking he. Would he would definitely. He might be a trade candidate to ship over to one of your guys teams. Maybe become new franchise cornerstone phone and you guys. Shut this fucking nerd up. He's so happy he's just bathing in his own juice. Right now beaming. Disgusting stuff snowballing. Himself right now. Yeah I'm just happy to be the executive that built the the most winningest team in the simulation and the the architect of the First World Series Championship out of any of us. "It's like living in an area that doesn't have water and you have zero fear of flood right well. Now we've had heavy rain for a week. All the sudden breaks. My House has just been swept away. And that's an act of God. I didn't have flood insurance. You WanNa know who cares nobody. Nobody gives a fuck. Nobody cares about that. That's actually outlined by the insurance companies called an act of God. It says in small-print right next to it where bitch. That's that's what that's what it says on my insured Bali. Where bitch if you don't have it so I mean you're you're right man. This is just a it was an it was an ugly opening. It was an ugly presentation of the back and forth of what some of the problems looked like. And it's unfortunate that the biggest takeaway for the public has been a quibble over dollars and I just want people again understand that everybody in this world has fought to get where they're at. Everybody in this world likes to think of themselves as great at what they do and deserving to be compensated as such this is this is a This is a matter of giving ground to make something happen and also standing your ground to ensure that what you have fought for is not taken away overnight in in haste just to try to bring some sort of resolution to what we're dealing with. You gotta be very careful. Yeah you do have to be very careful and that goes for the new rules. They're proposing if major league baseball should return would love to get your thoughts on some of these Dallas team. Personnel would be prohibited from eating at restaurants during ROAD TRIPS. traditional exchange lineup. Cards would be eliminated. So no Jim. Joyce moments here with a Garuda High fives fist bumps hugs tobacco. Use IN SPITTING SUNFLOWER. Seeds would be prohibited New Baseball's anytime a ball is putting play or touched by multiple players. Players was must wear masks while sitting six feet apart in the dugout and wash or sanitize their hands after each half inning Water jugs in the use of saunas steam rooms pools in cryotherapy. Chambers would be prohibited Temperature screenings would be conducted every single day. Essential team personnel would be tested for corona virus. At least twice a week Do you think that This is feasible. So here's the I'll give you two answers based on what I think would ensure safety over. The course of an entire season played out. Do I think it's feasible? No Do I think you're actually going to have thirty teams worth of personnel at fifty or more give or take fifty or less. I don't think you're going to be able to make sure that all of those guys at no point in time over the course of four months went to a red robin after a ball game. Because that's what was open and I hope you realize that as far as what's available to the players in terms of preparing themselves and recovering and healing. That's a huge deal. Folks a huge deal because when I get off the training table after receiving treatment on my shoulder modalities ultrasound. Whatever it may be that gets cleaned off wiped off and the guy who's been talking shit to me for ten minutes right next to the training room. He's going to get on that table right after I did so. He's going to get onto the same table I'm getting on. He's going to be using the same instrument that I was just used or just had used on me and it's probably going to be by the same. Do the same person in that room. That's all good to go away now. Like no cryotherapy. I mean jared. I don't know if you've ever experienced what trial can do for the body but there's a reason that there's a fucking line to the chamber after ballgame because that's shit is real and now that's gone so you're gonNA need fifty players. Why because ten to fifteen of them or have come up with a lower body cramp injury type Shit Berry very soon very early on if they can't prepare the way that they're used to and they can't recover the way that they're used to my favorite rule of all. This was pitchers. Bring your own. Baseball's bring your own bucket baseball. So should we be? I feel like honestly of all people in the world to disapprove of this year. You're the last person lists like if it's your mound. You should have your own baseball's as well though dude. I the minor leagues. I actually May I. This lasted for one start. I was Gung Ho about it but it lasted for one start. I found this old briefcase and I packed my glove into this briefcase and brought it to the field that day like a fucking businessman right like I'm here to do business. I Open my briefcase case this fucking glove. Well yeah that was like the mentality right so yeah I need a video of that or at least a photo to be able to walk out but like what would you're hurt and you're playing catching shit out in Arizona and the finally trying to get your arm back. You're using what sixty brand new pearls because you're throwing into a net foot sixty feet away. You don't need anybody to do that. It's just Do there's there's there's so many moving parts to this. There's so many like what's crazy is. I talked about all this. You're fucking three months ago when all of this was I said. Think about the ball sports folks think about the ball sports. What's GonNa Happen? How many people are allowed to touch the baseball because the UMPIRES GONNA throw it to me? That's two people that have already touched it. Now I'm GonNa throw to the catcher. That's three right or be good or does he have to hit it or what happens. What if he hits it back to me and I catch it Do I keep the ball or do we go back to what Major League? Baseball is done where I just throw that one out now or is it like we revert back to college. I throw something off the back. Stop I get that ball back. Fuck yeah me the SCUFF WATCH LIPS? Yeah that's a I don't know how many players do you think are actually rooting for the season to just be cancelled because they don't want to deal with all this shit so it's funny. You ask that because I have been talking like over the last week and it's weird because this is how I know shit starts to pick up. This is how I know. Shit's getting real is when my phone starts to ring is start to get text messages from guys. And they're asking me questions and it's because they're hearing things and they WANNA see or confirm how real it is how true it is and then you start to get their opinions on it like wary at. What have you been doing bro? I haven't done Shit Bro? I haven't swung back or Bro. I'm only doing this right so they're not excited about like trying to cram in a entire springs worth of preparation in an abbreviated timeframe. And they're definitely not excited for reasons. I outlined in terms of preparing the body and recovering the body. Because they feel like this is going to be like starting a race where you don't do any warm up laps you just turn the car on and pedal to the we're doing two hundred and forty miles an hour right out of the gate. Were not warming up like you could blow a gasket like that. She could go bad. How bad do you think and obviously I mean like no one wants to see this. No one wants to be right about this if you do feel this way. Do you think there's GonNa be a wave of injuries right at the start of the thing? I don't know about the start. I'll say I'll say two weeks into it. Two to three weeks into a because what you'll have is you'll have a week and a half to weeks of guys feeling it and trying to fight through it and then they're going to realize you know what man hold on hold up. I didn't even have time to prepare. I definitely don't want to put myself behind the eight ball going into next season. All for what shortened season right. Now I have no idea what that looks like. I don't know that I'm on board with that. I don't know that I wanted to do that to myself. My Body or my future. So there's going to be dude. Yes there's going to be a lot of people who were like you know what hundred sixty two games the ability to prepare. Yeah I could battle through this I can throw through this tendonitis right now. Because I know I've got two more months tacked onto the season they'll be able to get through but if I've got tendonitis right now and I'm barking three weeks into a truncated season. I don't know that I'm trying to throw through that. Yeah I mean it's it is interesting that we've we've done a lot of interviews with guys in quarantine from doing like the rock paper scissors videos talking to guys like what they're up to the intern. Because I've I've asked all of them like. Where are you add in terms of your preparation for Baseball Season? Everyone had different answer. It's like no one is on the same page with this I. It's it's been a fascinating case. Study in terms of like I'm throwing bullpens regularly I'm hitting like fucking like Nolan. Are An auto is training like game one of the world series tomorrow like that's where that guys at there's other players that have told me. I haven't picked up a bat since they told to go home and spring like all over the map all over the map. So I think it's I think it's more interesting with with pitchers versus position players. But there are guys that are just fucking talked about with with Bryce Harper in our interview. you know he said. I haven't had this much time to prepare for a season forever. The guy is setting up personal records with with his with his his lifts his dead eleven lazy. So you guys that are gonNA come in to the baseball season and be more physically ready to go than they've ever been. And then you're GonNa have guys like Wolf Shit. Maybe I maybe I should have prepared a little bit better So I don't know I mean I think it's going to be one of those. Just weird things about baseball. Baseball and itself is a weird sport like I actually One of my friends is from Ireland so trying to he's never seen a baseball game before And without the visual I was trying to just explain baseball to him like. Can you explain the rules? Can you explain like what it's about and like I'm trying to do it verbally and you can't like it's one of those things where you have to be sitting down watching it and then. I have to explain to you what just happened like that's look teach baseball. Yes is let them ask the questions what they're wondering about. Why did he why is he out or what is why. Why did he not have to tag him right there? The ESA tag them other times like. Yes that's how you answer because if I tell you it's a force out you're going forced what for force be with you for who force what. Yeah so it's it's It's very funny like I was dying laughing trying to explain baseball without the visual. But that's that's what baseball is very it's not like hey one guy takes the ball and they shoot it in the hoop and that's really it. They take the stick. You fucking slap the puck in the net. And if you do it more than the other guys do it. Then you fucking win But yeah I it's I think it's going to be a unique season. Think we're GONNA see a lot of stuff that perhaps we've never seen before different strategies. Hopefully some unique storylines because they can't they can't fight they can't get to it. It's going to be crazy. The the can't fighting is going to be funny. Because.

Israel: third time lucky?

"There is possibly good news. At least four Israeli voters wearied of the regular trudge to the polling stations. They might not be obliged to vote for the fourth time in a year or so. This week's general election the third in eleven months appears to have been slightly more decisive than its two predecessors while nobody has an outright majority in the Knesset Prime Minister. Benjamin Netanyahu's conservative block on not far short of one failure to assemble a governing. Coalition from here would require rancor and chaos remarkable even by the standards of Israeli politics. This is also obviously provisionally. Good news for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu inasmuch as it looks like Benjamin Netanyahu will get to carry on being Israel's prime minister a job. He has already done longer than anyone else. In the country's history Netanyahu's Likud party won more votes than in September or in April last year. And turnout was actually up on the last couple of elections as for the bad news. There's a fair bit to go round breaking news to bring to Israel's attorney. General has indicted the prime minister. Benjamin Netanyahu on multiple corruption charges varies the extremely imminent potential political and legal complication of a serving prime minister standing trial as things stand. Netanyahu is due before the beak in Jerusalem on March seventeenth to begin answering charges of fraud. Bribery and breach of trust go tonight. We are witnessing an attempted. Coup against a serving prime minister based on fabrications and a tainted biased investigative process in this tainted process. They weren't after the truth. They were after me. The investigators didn't pressure the witnesses. To tell the truth they crush them with threatening extortion to tell a lie above sutan biscuit. W meme Sheku. He may apply for a delay citing the imperative of forming a new government. But even if he gets one it likely won't be for long. Israel's judiciary is not known for its difference to politicians within the last decade one former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and one former president Mashi Katzav have served prison sentences after being convicted of various offenses. There appears to be also the further recession of any possibility anytime soon of a meaningful peace agreement with Israel Palestinian neighbors notwithstanding the diligent labours of US president. Donald Trump's son-in-law for a moment imagine a new reality in the Middle East imagine a bustling commercial and tourist centre in Gaza in the West Bank for international businesses. Come together and thrive whose vision for the region unveiled earlier. This year seems already to be regarded by all concerned as a sort of high-spirited indiscretion which everyone has agreed. It is best to discreetly. Forget the name of the Momma Nittany Univer me and my whole name but flew up naming the name today. I am announcing to apply with the formation of the next government Israeli sovereignty on the Jordan Valley and the northern dancy. Manila Netanyahu's latest election campaign. Bet Big on further Israeli expansion into the West Bank days before polls opened. He announced his intention to assume a plan. Long buried by international condemnation for three and a half thousand new settlers homes which would effectively connect the West Bank settlement of Malaya Dem- with Jerusalem. He may now also feel emboldened to act on previous threats to formally annex portions of Palestinian land and it is obviously a grim result for Israeli opposition to Benjamin Netanyahu and its present principal figurehead retired general and foam Israel. Defense Forces. Chief. Bennigan's is I told you one year ago I into politics because I feel for our internal unit reach prevail over every enemy time and time again by sticking together was being torn apart if an opposition cannot in three quick fire attempts finish off a tired belligerent and entitled Prime Minister Facing Serious Criminal charges a long and unflinching look in the mirror is probably overdue ahead of Netanyahu now lies the horse. Trading arm twisting and carrot dangling necessary to get his block from the fifty eight Knesset seats. It has to the sixty one. It needs to govern. He will probably find this possible. Even Benny Ganz has conceded that neither he nor anyone else in Israel fancies yet another trip to the polls indeed. It's not altogether impossible. That members of Gansters Liberal Cavan alliance or even Gansu himself may perceive long-term mileage in being seen to prioritize ability and agree to Netanyahu up in the short term in the immediate aftermath of this latest election defeat dance failed to reiterate his previous ironclad objection to serving a prime minister under indictment. However vidor Lieberman leader of the nationalist Yisrael Beiteinu party remains the potentially crucial kingmaker. By Netanyahu's bellicose and nationalistic conservatism. Demagogues and populists often accidentally contrived to energize their opponents and catalyze new kinds of opposition. "I believe all home blue. Jay Games are going to be blacked out across Canada. And that means that people who have TV will only be able to watch away games of the Blue Jays and and they'll be does this because there's kind of an overlap with Local TV stations and local providers of the game that they broadcast the game obviously in their local market and they want people subscribing to the TV channel and not subscribing to em TV. So I think that's why they do it but a lot of people have been complaining about this myself included because we watch baseball from EM TV and now the only other way to watch baseball At least for me for someone who doesn't have TV is sportscenter now. Which is I'm you guys probably know better than I do but I think it's like thirty dollars a month which is more expensive them. Mlb TV MLB TV. Is I believe it's it'd be a hundred and twenty or one hundred fifty dollars a year that goes from like spring training last week February. Twenty second two. I mean all the postseason games are blacked out but the end of the regular season so I up Tober so you have all these months. It's IT works out cheaper and instead of just being able to watch bluejays games you can watch any game in baseball So yeah it is really sad. That like they're blacking out. All these games to me doesn't make sense from a marketing perspective for baseball Because you're losing out on a lot of fans who would be watching the game and you complain about the pace of play and all that stuff when you're blocking out baseball games to the people who are actually going to be the fans of that team Anyways so what are you guys thinking about this? Well yeah and it's it's something that you know it makes sense because even beyond sports net now are MLB TV based off of everything you know this the streaming were now. You've got you know example. Got Netflix Got Disney. Plus you got. Hbo Max You Got Crave. Tv You got Apple TV plus you got espn. Plus I can keep going on and on and on and it's the time of streaming wars and people want you to subscribe to what they their product and in this case. Roger just wants you to subscribe a sports now they WanNa build up sports net now the subscriptions and they want. That's how that's unfortunate. The only way you're GONNA be able to watch JAYS Games off on the go rather than actual sports net on cable and again. It's something that you know. Based off of Rogers at Stamford something. That seems to be where they will be something that they're going to be making a lot of money off of depend on how how on how successful. It is so not only. Are you going to be subscribing to sportscenter now on a monthly fee rather than Ama-? Btv like you said you. You already told spoke with the prices. You can only watch bluejays games. You can't watch actual other teams play baseball. You can't watch You CAN'T WATCH THE YANKEES. Take on the Red Sox. You can't watch other Other Games and you know I'm sure a lot of us are in the same boat as you guys and not every listener as well watches every single baseball game or other teams but there's also a good chunk of people who like to watch the Jays of course but they also like to follow the League. They also like to watch other games. And that's the that's what you mentioned. That's where the problem will be about fans that's where it's GonNa you know about the growth of the game and so on and so on and actually James used to be a black donor Amilton Btv but they got the the restriction came off in the mid two thousand and tens and actually the subscription packages based off of the numbers here became a lot more popular when the Jays were able to not be blocked on TV anymore and based off of the J. standpoint sure you know every other market and I think Mark Shapiro even said this every other team every other market deals with black problems by when you when you see other teams sure but when you compare it to the Jays it's in my opinion it's different especially because our perspective of being Canadian. You Know Baseball candidate this Canada's only team If you want you know the markets bigger than usual because it's a country you need people being invested more to the game if you want this game to grow if you want the market to continue to to grow and be popular and so on and so on you want people to be going to games more you know rather rogers cares or not or the management cares about. Jay is not selling out every night like they used to It's not a good look on the fans and it's not a good look anywhere across the league and what you want. Is You want more popularity toward not only the sport but in the case in our bias herb sorry in our perspective the market and unfortunately this is something that is going to happen where it's just goes for anything else in life. Now you need to subscribe to this product. You need to subscribe to this service and so on and so on monthly fees rather than you know as k apparently cables on its way out a clearly but you know still have just turning on the TV and watching the game you know. I'm not on the go doing this and doing that all the time. Especially in the summer watching the Jays. If you can't watch the game you can't watch the game but I'M NOT GONNA go out of my way to subscribe sports net now for sure rather than will be. Tv where you get again like. You said you get to watch every game. And that's the problem there for actual baseball fans who not only. WanNa watch the Jays but they want to watch every other team as well but sports now. You can't do that and that just takes it away of you having to spend more money to keep TV for no reason to watch the Jays but that's the only other way you can watch other teams place so it's a complicated situation as much as it's complicated it makes sense because again the streaming wars now as I guess it's kind of the future of TV who knows what's going to happen and again. I know there's other teams that are blocked out all the time and You know from a Canadian perspective as well If you WANNA just make a quick example of how the NHL does things on T. ascendance sports net In our market as I'm in the Toronto Market You can only watch leaf games. And there's nights where the leafs don't play and you see Ottawa. See Two senators taking on a random team if you want to click the channel. It's blacked out and it's you know every time I do it. I know it's blocked but it's just something that you know it's it it's frustrating and it's just because the leafs aren't honor your favorite team or so on there's still there's still other interests to watch other teams play and unfortunately being blacked out at you know it's one of the worst feelings turning clicking the channel and it's completely black saying you know restricted in your area so on and so on but it's a way for these markets to make money and quite frankly it's unfair for the fans. I think mark you brought up a really interesting point when you said that it's it's funny how the League is doing all these things to increase their The amount of people that watch baseball yet. They're literally not allowing them to watch it through the their streaming service. I think it's honestly really stupid because I think Bryson you said something like this where the Blue Jays are candidates only team so if you completely blackout people from watching those games will there is a lot of people that are going to watch that as opposed to a any other city in the in the US where the other twenty nine teams are twenty. I think but anyways all of the if you blackout Mariners Games than I. It's not really that big of a problem because there's still a lot of other you know it's not like the mariners take up the entire. West coaster north west coast of the of the of the League however if you blackout the Blue Jays Games will. That's literally every Blue Jay fan in Canada and I mean I know there are some people that are not blue Jays fans in Canada but the majority of the people are so. If you WANNA do that I mean I guess from the leaks perspective. That's just one of their teams. They still a lot of other teams and they solve. You know the other missing out on money but from their perspective. It's not you know it's not like a supreme. It's like a huge amount but I think it's honestly stupid because like you said now if I'm a consumer I personally don't have that problem just because I do use cable And I I have the bell APP on my phone so I can just watch whatever I want Through my TV. But if you if I go away next year and I don't have cable I'm not GonNa you know if I'm living on my own. I'm not going to buy it. You know but I still want to watch sports and if I can't watch TV. Than but I still WANNA watch the other teams. You know. It doesn't make sense because now you're basically paying double the price to watch your Toronto teams as well as every other team in the league and I just think that's honestly really you know it's stupid if you're a consumer but I don't think it's going to change unfortunately just because these guys own a lot of the market they're gonNA do whatever they want to keep people subscribe to them and I just. I don't like that idea honestly that they're doing this. You're just frustrating people to a point where they don't subscribe there's just all around just does not make sense to me at all Two things go in more depth embracing you mentioned that before the Blue Jays weren't blackout in the reason for that was because Paul Beeston Former president the Blue Jays and he was a very vocal advocate of not having these bluejays games blacked out because he understood at least from a business perspective that the team survives on the people who watch the Games. So if you're taking away thirty million people across Canada that can no longer watch this game. It's the things are not going to go well and Just a second thing I talked about this on twitter but this is driving people away from MLB and people who would have been giving their money their one hundred twenty one hundred and fifty dollars whatever it is to MLB and instead they're going to be sure some of them are going to be giving their money to sports net now but a lot of them are just gonNa be giving their money or nothing money but there is to illegal streaming sites so you're driving people away from the things that create revenue for you as an organization and as a team and you are redirecting them to ways where no one wins where it's the ABC producers in the the illegal streaming sites that win and nothing associated with Major League Baseball. So this makes no sense. And it's been a problem for years and years Hasn't been a problem for the Blue Jays but it's been a problem for other teams. I think there's a few locations in Iowa if you go there where four major league teams are blacked out. It's insane and all this is because Oh we want fans to go to the game instead of watching it on TV. Oh we want fan student. Subscribe to their local providers. Note you're just going to get young fans who are only watching this on TV. Who instead are going to realize they can do it for free illegally and it's so frustrating. Lots of things that frustrate me today. and yeah and we're all in the same boat there with you know. I'm sure none of us are GONNA lie. You know if you watch the game rather than you know going on sports than I think I think all of us know what I think. Any of you guys know you know. It's pretty straightforward answer. And it's pretty straightforward strategy and people aren't GonNa go out of their way like if you see the game is blocked out. I guarantee there's a good half of people that won't go out of their way to go on sports that now and watch the game you know they're going to put there is somewhere else you said. Rather than what else is on TV with cable or they're going to legal streaming sites. It's not like every single person's go out of their way to make sure they're a subscriber sportscenter now say they can watch the Jays because it only frustrates people with the market being blacked out and like I've said before I used to live in the Boston area. And when the bluejays were playing in Boston the Games who blocked out and I'll take full disclosure for this. Please no interest me but I would watch a legal streams of the games because when although I like obviously prefer to watch on. Mlb DOT COM. Because it's what first off it's better quality. It's obviously I'm already paying for it and I can't really watch these streams on my phone so am with MLB TV. I can so that's why I'd get AMMO. Btv But then. Like if I if the Games were blacked out. That's what I would turn to because as I said I don't have cable so again. Look you're losing so much money in so many fans and It's just so stupid to me anyways. We'll end there for today Thank you to everyone. Who.

"cavan" Discussed on Section 138

"Learn this position but you need to What's the word you need to practice with both positions as well as prove you're hitting and as well as all those things and I just feel like that might overcome? Like I said over complicate things for him might get into his head thinking. Okay well I have so many things to worry about. And then he'll just end up Not Performing at the level that we expect him to because he's so focused on playing everywhere. It'd be different if he was more of a super utility guy that just kind of played everywhere in order to stay in the lineup Where because then it would work. But for this case he's going to be their second baseman and it just doesn't make sense to me. Why if you have a guy that's going to play there then why you want to move him the place because I just like. I think that would over complicate things for him completely and if things are over complicated then I think he might not perform at the level that he he knows that he can and that we know that he can and then maybe in the if they make the playoffs this year or next year. Whatever if they're still trying to do that to him who knows what that could do to him. That might you know if they need him in a clutch. Actually I'm getting a little too far ahead of myself. But if they were to need him to come up clutch you just you never know if all the wear and tear would get him a little quicker than you you would have hoped. Yeah if this works than I mean. Great like EB I. I think we can safely. Compare this to Laura's Gorell Junior. Because he of course was an infielder he was predominantly second base and the Blue Jays moved him Because the the obviously he wasn't great defensively there but they moved into left field and it worked out great. They sent him down. He got his Reps. He worked on his game and he came back up as you know. Dramatically improved player who held his own in not just offensively but also defensively. But I don't think that's the case Kevin Bijou Kevin. Joe Has the ability to do that. But I don't think they need to do this. I think the risk of doing this is far greater than the reward. You look at just primarily the chances of injury if you're moving to territory that you're not used to playing And more in depth using muscles that you're not used to using in certain ways and and doing things you're not used to doing the odds of an injury increase and I don't see the reason why the bluejays should be willingly increasing the odds of that when they could just as easily be happy with him at at his position But there are so many ways that could go wrong. Because instead of focusing on improving his hitting improving his defense in the infield now he's going to be working on learning it completely new position that you know who knows how often they're even going to use in there. It's just I don't understand why they would want to do this because he's already so good. You can only get worse if you try to mess with a success. So I don't understand why they would try to move him to a different position like again if it works great but there's so many chances of it not working. I don't it just doesn't make sense to me. I can't wrap my head around why the Blue Jays would be doing this and messing with something. That's already success and again the key the key to that as well as I mentioned it and you just mentioned as well it depends on how often they actually plan to do this. And you know the comparison to that we've mentioned again. It's completely different from last year because I wasn't throwing away games or making constant Ariza a day or night were were. He was playing. Wherever was at second base. Lawrence Korea on the other hand was struggling. I was affecting him his him all around the Jays benched him a few times based on performance and then again it led to a demotion to the minor leagues for what almost a month and came up a brand new player. But you know with. Bg Like you said he's he's already good enough defensively. And You wonder how you know because you have a pretty sustainable outfield with rand. Grischuk at Center Field Richard. Usually you know he plays almost every day. And if you're GONNA you don't really how do you feel about You know other players playing center field like you just wonder like how like. How often is this going to happen? Is GOING TO BE PLAYING CENTER FIELD EVERY TIME? Grischuk needs a day off because you know Tejas Graffman end as he's already you know he's already a player who's seems to you. Know he has its ups and downs in the outfield and not a lot of people are comfortable with him in Centerfield. Not a lot of people are comfortable with them in the outfield period. So again it all depends on how much they plan to do this. And if they don't plan to oftens why you know I don't see why they would wanna do this to begin with and waste a roster spot when you can carry a fourth outfielder who you know who has enough experience at You know who's played it throughout their whole career again if they want to make this a thing where it. It's almost you know it's a IT'S A. It's more often than not than I guess you can. You can understand it but if they want to make this something. That is very rare and again. It's all it's all part of an experiment but if they wanna make the something. That doesn't happen often. I don't see why you. Us A- roster spot on that and carry an extra infielder when should be carrying an extra outfielder? Who's more WHO's played? And what Bijou again. He hasn't played since high school. You don't know how he's GonNa React We don't know how he's doing right now again. The Games not televised so I guess. All the best analysis we can get is just from people on twitter and You know you hope he does well and again. It's it's definitely a risk and if it pays off a pays off but how much more beneficial is it even if it works. And that's where I don't I still don't quite understand what they're thinking. Maybe that maybe this this could be as far as we know. This could just be an experiment and we never hear about it again throughout the season or this could be something that they're legitimately serious about in something that could work but I just don't see you know why like I don't. I don't understand why you have your infield solidified with us you at second base to begin with with shortstop and Vlad at third base in Shah taken reps at first base. Bijl can even play first base. We saw him play there a few times last year. So it's just it's it's interesting because when you move Centerfield who's going to be playing. You know who's going to be playing second base every time he's in center villages of mixing and matching. And you just wonder what Charlie went toil and the rest of the j actually thinking about this. Yeah I guess maybe you have Travis shots second base which I mean could work if he's actually performing but like who knows and like just did enumerate why Laura's core yelled junior experiment worked when this experiment probably won't work Laura's correal junior was like you said he was making Ariza every day. He was not good in the Infield and the Blue Jays had to change something. They wanted to keep his bat in the lineup. But they obviously didn't like his defense so they had to fix something so they did. They gave him a month in AAA and and he fixed up his defense. He moved to left field and now he's amazing. He's a great player. Good that worked. You're going from something bad to something good in bijl. You already have something really good. Let me just break down his performance for you in twenty one thousand nine hundred. He made five errors. All five of them came before his fiftieth game. His Last Air Came on the fiftieth game of his season which came on July thirtieth after July thirtieth for the rest of the season for the rest of the forty. Six Games left. He didn't make a single air so like he's already such good defender and he's such a good hitter and I don't know why he would want to mess with this by making him focus on another position making a move to another position part of the time. Which could mess with his defense Again if it works great it's wonderful asset for the Blue Jays to have but they're just so many parts of this. That could go wrong that I don't think it's going to work and I I don't know why the Blue Jays WanNa mess with something that's already working see. I honestly don't even think that the Blue Jays need to do this just looking at their outfield. Because like you mentioned we know Richie's going to play Gurriel is going to take over in left. You mentioned to some people that are a little iffy about Oscar Hernandez but I still think he can be a very solid option But then they're they still have billy mckinney and Derek Fisher. So you kind of have five guys can spot swell four because they're gonNA have a fourth outfielder but if they want to use busy. Oh they're obvious. I don't think the immediate answer is to get rid of the four th outfielder but what are you supposed to tell outfielder? Now you're going to get less playing time because we're going to use somebody else that's not even outfielder to take over your position. I just don't think that makes a lot of sense Just because the blue's already have a nice amount of outfielders. I just keep visu areas. He's good at what he does. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Yeah exactly. It just doesn't make sense to try to change something that's already working And I don't know if this is a decision that Charlie Montoya's making I don't know if this is a decision that Ross Atkins is making if there's other people in the coaching staff that are encouraging this I just don't see the reasoning and I mean I can try to give them the benefit of the doubt because obviously they know a lot more than we do And they are lot smarter than we are but I from our perspective. It just doesn't seem to make sense But anyways we've run out All the ideas Alan Just for final topic just to to touch on it before we go Mlb TV a lot of people watch baseball myself included on TV. But recently this off season it was announced that.

Things to Never Do in Your Cruise Cabin

"What are the things you should never ever do in your crews Cavan? Hi I'm Gary Damage. This is another of my tip. So Tara's share with you eleven cabin knows things you absolutely must not do in your cabinet starting with this one. I is a really obvious one. That is nothing with an open. Flame should be used done in your cabin. Very good reason for this is fire is the thing that cruise lines captains fear more than anything else. It's the hardest thing to control when you're out at sea credibly dangerous so is completely banned. You can't have candles incense burners anything with you know flames that if you really want to bring something to create that ambience one of the things I recommend you can buy little battery operated t lights exactly what cruise lines using their restaurants to create that sort of candle effect. So you could bring something like that but nothing with an open. Flame should ever be used in your cabin. The second thing is around the bottom a couple of real no knows here first of all which is something. The cruise lines keep begging. You is don't put anything other than the supplied toilet tissue toilet paper down the toilet. The reason for that is. There is a suction system so the tortoise work on a suction system and are very easily blocked. So even things like wipes anything like that. Women's hygiene products don't put anything down the toilet. There's always little rubbish bin in the bathroom. Wraps up a few onto in the toilet tissue and chocolate but don't put anything down the toward I've been on cruises where we've had a nightmare because the system has been blocked and it's a real big hassle for the cruise lines to fetch it. The other thing linked to the bathroom knows is a lot of people being really surprised because they've stepped out of the bathroom and discovered either the cabin stewardess cleaning away or they've now pulled up against other cruise ship or they pulled into port people able to look in really important to take on a river cruise. So don't step out of the bottom completely stark. Bollock naked without checking. Because there's a possibility you're going to have an audience and one that you didn't really intend to have the next of no knows is around the electric plugs and things you plug in your cabin. This probably four critical things that are knows within a cruise cabin first of all. You can't plug in anything. That has a surge protector so this extension cables with surge protectors most cruise lines will screen those out. Some cruise lines will let you bring on board an extension cable without a surge protector. You often people want to bring on devices like that because not all cruise lines have loads those sockets and we all have many things that we weren't plug in nowadays so nothing with a surge protector secondly when you leave the cabinet anything you've got plugged in you know left to charge or any devices. You need to unplug those and the reason for that is a safety one. So there's no chance of things being plugged in and fire breaking out through some sort of electrical fault. Kevin suits are normally instructed. That should unplug anything. That's left plugged in done before. I've gone out not raising. I've left camera or phone being charged. Come back into the cabin sudas unplugged. So that's a real no no. I shouldn't have done that in the first place. The third area is. You can't plug in anything. That has a heating element. Normally the cruise lines will have screened for these. So these things like baby. Bottle warmers. Or you've got some hot plate or device it as heating element like an iron travel those kinds of things. They should never be plugged. In fact you shouldn't have brought him on board anyway. The Kuzan probably in most cases would have screened that asks you to have removed from your luggage and to have held onto it. The fourth area which is linked to that is the area of hair accessory so hairdryers in most cases are allowed on board on a cruise line. So check if yours is the case most cruise lines have hairdryers supplied anyway. Most crews lies nowadays will let you bring on board cutting tongs but again check and find out if you are allowed to use in the cabin. So that's a whole bunch of knows around electrical items plugs onboard. The next cabin. No no is actually take items from your cabin when you leave the ship. So that's things I come prellezo's slip his bath robes. Whatever it is that within your cabin because although it will happen is you'll be charged them and actually the charge of those are pretty high and they will just basically charge you once you're off ship so don't take any of those items you'll find most cruise lines will give you the option of buying those and it's much cheaper option to do it that way the something you really want. What about things like toiletries? Now nowadays as cruise lines became more and more sort of environmental. You finding many cruise lines are getting rid of the little miniature. The tiny little bottles of toiletries to have pumped dispenses or large products. If you still have a little miniature and you want to take them with you because it's Zuhdi brand you know Bulgari or locks channel and these really nice brands. My little tip is perhaps. Put a couple of side in a cupboard or on your back during the course of the crews and see if they get replenished and if they give replenished than you know it's pretty safe to take those of with you normally when it comes to. It's pretty fine to take it. However you got those big bottles that are refilled is probably frowned upon for you to take this again watch very carefully. What you take off the ship. My Fifth Kevin no-no is around the mini bar. Now I tend to never touch anything in the minibar because like hotels the price of minibuses very high however that may differ based on the cruise on. So if you go more premium cruise line so I'd be on some cruise lines like silver C. OR C. Where what's in your minibar is included within the price

Murkowski's 'Courage' in Splitting with McConnell 'Could Be Contagious'

"There there has has been been a a small small crack crack in in an an otherwise otherwise unified unified stance stance the the Republicans Republicans have have been been taking taking about about president president trump's trump's impeachment impeachment trial trial Republican Republican senator senator Lisa Lisa Murkowski Murkowski of Alaska spoke to local TV station KTVU years she said when she heard the Majority Leader Mitch McConnell plans to coordinate with the White House she was quote disturbed Makowski spoke about ascenders duty to be an impartial juror to me it means that we have to take that step back from being hand in glove with the defense Liz Ruskin of Alaska public media has covered center McAlister you for years and joins us from anchorage this morning was thanks for being here hi good morning so does this sound like the the Makowski you know yeah absolutely it does and I think that it's really just in her nature to be a centrist to seek middle ground like this and also you'll note that she's criticizing leader McConnell on process and that is very important to her sticking to procedure and tradition that's that's how she rolls well I mean anyone hearing this is probably going to get a jump to the question of how she might vote in terms of whether or not to remove president trump or or are you getting any indication of that from this I'm I know and I would think it's a it's a mistake to read too much into this criticism she's also been critical of house speaker Pelosi is handling impeachment and she's criticized our house Democrats on their process nearly to the point of saying that they've got a weak case it if we can play some tape here I've got something that senator McCaskey told me in mid December right after saying house leaders should have gone to court if they wanted to hear from witnesses who refused to appear as a consequence I think you have a record that the house will base its articles on that is perhaps not as full a record as it needs to be so that was just before the articles of impeachment came out but she seems to under cut both of them with that statement yeah although she says she so careful with her language it it sounds like and and I wonder how much always yeah that that's very much her too so can you take me back to other times that she's parted ways with with fellow Republicans in and sort of how use other things play out well sure there was the famous vote in twenty seventeen on health care when she was one of three Republicans who killed a bill to repeal the affordable Care Act and then the confirmation of justice Cavan on she opposed his confirmation on quite narrow grounds as she said his behavior at his confirmation hearing that a motion and bitterness he showed she said that was not in keeping with the code of judicial conduct but she also called him a good man kind of splitting the baby there it's also worth pointing out I think that other than Cavanah I do not think she's voted against any of president trump's judges give me that the political context for her at this moment how secure is her Senate seat in Alaska well she's not up again until twenty twenty two but it seems like a large swath of the middle of of Alaskans really admires her and you'll recall back in twenty ten she lost in the Republican primary to a tea party favorite and then one in a writing and that was with the help of a lot of Democrats and Alaska native groups are her base out she draws a lot of support from Democrats and moderate Republicans and she's proved that she really doesn't need her party to win and then she regularly aggravates both the left and the right alternately depending on her votes do you think she could have influence over this trial in the Senate I think so but I think we would see that more on votes on the rules or on whether to call witnesses alright Liz Ruskin of Alaska public media joining us from anchorage talk about senator McCaskey thanks so much really appreciate it

"It was other families, the British overseers for the month, Landon seized it confiscated the land because I couldn't pay taxes twin boys in the family. The father had died, and the mother couldn't feed the kids. The twin boys are sixteen years old, John and James, and they were desperate because they didn't have any money. And now they didn't have any food because they grew food to eat it and they were thrown off the land. So they want to go away, which you know was a heavy journey at that time by coach. And the mom put the boys on a on a ship bound for New York book when New York, and they never saw their mother. Again, as I said, the father was dead at that point, probably died of of labor. And be a Riley. Boys came to Brooklyn where they stayed until nineteen ninety five hundred and fifty years. Okay. My family stayed in Brooklyn. Now. Some of the people of course went out and and went to other places, but I am the only one in one hundred fifty years to break out of the working and middle-class, the only O'Reilly from that side of the family. So we traced to clues the village and I went there and walk the fields today and went to the cemetery where I saw all the debt o'reilly's and it was a hard hard life here. And that's the beginning of my family. And my father said someday, I'll tell you about my mother's side. They came over right after the Mayflower. They were real early in America, but the O'Reilly boys came over in eighteen forty five. Whereupon we started our white privilege right. All of our white privilege started when they had nothing to eat in Ireland and had to go on a boat with a casualty rate on the boat that decorate on the boat was like forty, five percent. People are dying all over the place through overboard from disease, and they didn't feed them very well and all that. So it was really emotional day, and I have spent a long time researching and I have to thank NPR not NPR TBS. Got sorry about that. PBS they did the the search on me and my heritage and gave me all kinds of clues. And we narrowed it down clues where we were today and took some pictures so that you can see them. So that's why I'm here. And I hope you get to do the same thing with your family. It's very interesting to know where you started. And then when somebody says, all Riley, you've white privilege and I just look at them, you know. You couldn't have started Lowell harder than the Riley's did in America sixteen years old. Can you imagine that they show up to a country? Don't know anybody, you know, and they were laborers, got off the boat. You know, some other people from county Cavan were in Brooklyn and. Gave them shelter for a little while. Got jobs building stuff, and they built stuff and built it. And that's how the Iraqis came to America legally. Okay. There wasn't anything illegal about it. The railroads and infrastructure of New York City needed Labour's. They needed. They needed the Irish to do the work. They treated him horribly, and you know the story..

"All right. So I'm over here in county. Cavan Ireland, beautiful place. Got fabulous weather. It's been a very, very good vacation in eighteen forty five with your Riley. Family were tenant farmers, which means that they had land that they tentatively owned, but they had to pay tax on the land to their British overseers. Now, remember, Ireland was basically run by the brick. That's why today, many Irish hate the British in World War Two Ireland wouldn't even fight alongside British against Hitler. How big the hatred is. So the awry lease were in as little village called close where I went today, and I posted some pictures on the website and they had a couple of acres and they eat out a living. Now, in the fourteenth century, Hugh O'Reilly was the king of county Cavan not a king crown, but he ran the place and we just came back from his Ford outside having city. Hugh O'Reilly was the man. But when the verdict came in and took all the O'Reilly land and there's tons of the Riley in Kevin and they gave it back so that they could eke out a living as a tenant farmer. So they forty five, the O'Reilly family could not pay the tax couldn't pay, it didn't have it. And that's when the beginning of the famine, the potato crop was failing. So they got thrown off the land of victims. And I have a newspaper article. And it wasn't just the arrives.

"Vatian dead in another direction coming out of this match or is it just you know we need these two to tell this other story that we have going on because having shane and daniel brian in the match isn't exactly you know on the on the radar at least for right now yeah randy when he was asked about the match he said he can't speak for the motivations of shane o'brien but he can speak about hit silk they were selfconscious of this issue through that it's all about as sami in cavan and shane and now brian and so he said he thinks owens and sami or obnoxious and self entitled and he will make sure that those two idiots lose their jobs in an rene asked if if shinsegei agrees and he went yup playing into the theme of the yup movement that samiun owen started i'm not sure that that's enough you know i think randy in shinsegi especially if they are big plans for shinsegei to be a top guy to half of just sort of yeah there in the combing event but they just they feel like place holders are just happenstance only and everything else going in canada sammy needed opponents and i get wwe kind of thinking that's ban thinking well we don't wanna confuse the issue we want this to be about shane versus cabinet in salmiya then where does brian stand in that's the hook in randy and should scare the big names who can make it look like this is a big match even if it's not about them up philosophically agree with that as a valid approach and then do you have an alternative is there a way to not pull attention away from shane and brian if that is their goal but still have it feel like there's something up more of an investment with randy in shinsegei than just a oneoff line by randy that their obnoxious and self entitled and that's kind of the totality of this.
