Speaking Of Logos (MM #4021)

"The NASA minute. With Kevin mason yes, I was talking about the new logo for Vanderbilt university, but they got me thinking about other logo questions I've had recently. Watching a lot of the NCAA tournament this year don't know why particularly. And I've noticed every uniform has multiple logos on them now. The NASCAR you got logos all over the uniform. Everybody's used to that. In the NBA, we now have one corporate sponsor, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been good year because they're nearby. A lot of teams have different sponsors. I think FedEx is on the Memphis Grizzlies uniforms. But this year in the NCAA, you've got the NCAA logo. You've got the logo of the manufacturing company, whether it's Nike or Adidas or whoever is making the uniform. And then you've got the American flag or some kind of logo on there. And one of the schools, I think, has their 75th anniversary logo. And then you've got the team conference logo. So you've got four logos right about the stirrup area and all these uniforms. And I got to wonder why. And what's next? Advertising logos on these uniforms? I understand wanting to brand a school, but I don't understand why the NCAA needs their logo on the uniform. I'm not making a lot of sense to me. The American flag logo, wonderful idea, but do we really need that?

If God Is Loving, Why Would He Send Us to Hell? John Hopper Explains

"Guess the classic question that people ask as well is, you know, I'm a good person, isn't that enough? That's question 12 in here. If God is loving, why would he send anyone to hell? I often think Christians can be very cavalier in the way they answer to that question the same way about evil and suffering. So what are some of the things we can think about along these lines? Well, I think you're right. I think people can't be cavalier. I mean, if hell is real, that's a very sobering reality, right? So it shouldn't be a sort of a reality that we're sort of brandishing around as if it's just going to a bad concert. It's eternal, and it's awful, right? So if we are sharing about hell, we should have this sort of attitude of sort of compassionate warning. And I think that was the attitude that Jesus had. So Jesus speaks of how more than anyone else, which I think is a little bit shocking to people. So you brought up Eric that if people got into the Bible, they may be surprised by some of the things that they read. One of the things that they would be surprised by, I think, is that Jesus speaks of how more than anyone else. But he's always speaking about it as a warning. He has no desire that anyone would be there. And he says, you don't want to end up in that place. So let me show you a different way. Let me even provide a different way.

"cavaliers" Discussed on The Lead

"Bucks by the final of one 15 99. These are the updated standings and yes, the Cavs are only one game. Behind the Eastern Conference leading heat. Today, the athletics Kelsey Russo and Jason Lloyd explained why, this is a team to take seriously. For the first time, since LeBron James left town, again. And, in a potentially wide open Eastern Conference, just how big should the cap to be thinking? From wondering NB athletic, I'm on your skelter. It's Thursday, February 3rd, and this is the lead. Kelsey and Jason, welcome to the show. Yeah, thanks for having us. Thank you. Thank you so much. So guys, we wanted to pick your brain about how the Cavs have made their way toward the top of the Eastern Conference. But before we get into that, for anyone who had to avert their eyes. Can you just remind us how rough things have been in Cleveland for the last few years? Very. We saw was at forehead coaches up to this point, so forehead coaches, there was a lot of losing. I thought it will not come out of this road trip empty handed and will push Cleveland to yet another loss. Ten consecutive. And they wanted to do player development, but it still led to a lot of losses. There was locker room issues. Hey, let's talk about this story out of Cleveland, can we about Kevin Porter junior? Okay, the reports are that the cabs are ready to trade him or wave him because he had a tantrum the other night when he found out that his locker had been moved from where it had been. I think they won most like 22 games last season. The two before that, they had 19 wins in both seasons. So that's not a whole lot of wins. You know, going back to when Byron Scott was fired in 2013, Mike Brown's here for a year. He's gone. David blatz here for a year and a half. He's gone. Ty lue gets the job. Wins a championship. He's fired. And they hire John beeline to replace them. And that was a complete disaster. And the thought behind John was well who better to develop a young team than this college coach and John is a terrific basketball coach. In terms of fundamental basketball, he's great, but he's also on the wrong end of 60 and just couldn't relate to these guys. And it got off to a bad start and it didn't get any better. There was the whole incident where he called him thugs and he meant to use the word slugs, he said. Cavaliers coach John B line apologized this morning to his players after stunning them in a film session yesterday by saying that they were no longer playing quote like a bunch of thugs. Beeline says that he meant to use the word slug, not thug. And was alerted by his coaching staff after the meeting as to what his exact verbiage was. So he runs out of the building, gave all the money back just to get away from the NBA. That's how bad of a fit he was, where he said, you can keep your money, I just want out. So John leaves at the all star break for the first year. That is a terrible look for the calves. And it's just coach after coach after coach after coach and you're never going to build anything sustainable with that. And that's why I think there was a lot of doubt of whether or not they were going to get this right. And so with all that recent trauma in mind. But also considering that this team now has some really good young guys like Evan mobley and Jared Allen in the mix. What were your expectations for this team coming into the season? How did you think they would do? I expected them to take some sort of leap. It was the point in the rebuild where they needed to start winning games. You know, like they had gone through a couple seasons of allowing guys to develop, but now it needed to sort of translate into something more. They had signed Jared Allen at this point to his contract extension. They had drafted mobile. They had put these steps in place where now they were getting ready to take that step. So that was kind of my mindset going into of like, okay, now the winds matter. Like now their record matters. The last three years, not so much, but now it mattered. So I was expecting there to be a leap. I was expecting elite from their point guard Darius Garland. I was expecting an elite from iceman koro because that's kind of what they had really built this around was this young core of guys. But I wasn't expecting this kind of leap. So I kinda cranked it out before the season started of like, okay, what's realistic? What's not? And everyone was talking playing. So long story short, in order to get to the tenth seed, they're going to have to get to 36 wins. The problem with that is only 5 teams last year made that type of lead before percent leap. Warriors hawks Nick signs and nets. So really, if you boil it down, the Cavs were trying to do what the Atlanta Hawks did in terms of, you know, they've got this young nucleus and the hawks sort of exploded last year on the scene, obviously. And I didn't know how realistic that was, but that was sort of my expectation was, okay, if you want to keep your jobs, if nobody wants to get fired, you're going to have to get to around 36 wins. And obviously you see where they're at. Now, they're almost there now. It's remarkable. Well, let's get into why this team has become so good. And I thought we could break this down into three different areas. First, let's start with the backcourt. Tell us about for some of the challenges that the Cavs have had to overcome there. And why they've been able to. Yeah, there's been a lot. I mean, especially this season, you know, you start the season with Darius Garland and Colin Sexton as your backcourt, going back to the summer. You're bringing Ricky Rubio and then you lose both Colin and Ricky to season ending injuries. Down on the court, looks like he's in some pain. That jump stop white right there. You see that me? That left knee. That jump stop. It's non contact. Yes, and those are the worst. Very spin the kind of the person to hold it together. And his success this season has really allowed them to succeed because he's taken a leap in and of himself, but just as his play in his understanding of the game and how he leads the team. So, but the injuries really did wreck them, especially there and just the pieces that they had and that they early on were really a big part of that success, but they've figured out ways to hold on to it, I guess, through this stretch recently. And Jason, maybe I'll throw this next one specifically to you. Darius Garland has really emerged as a star of this season and he definitely brings an exciting edge to this team. What stands out to you about his game? What do you think he does, especially well? Terrific shooter, terrific ball handler. Garlic. Watch here by Damien Lee 50 year man and a Louis go home and a move Garland. Now you see me now you don't. Brilliant move by Garland really has a sense for the game. Great creator makes people around him better. Garland works on holiday. For a moment, shoves the move. My what a dazzling task by Garland and how about the finish by movely. Just a guy who's growing in confidence more and more and more and we've just seen him coming and coming and coming guy didn't play a whole lot in college and it's just gotten better and better and better. It has his head up looking for a teammate keeps his dribble bounces inside Allen down gorgeous. And really, I think one of the things that has really helped him is sort of separating him from Colin Sexton. And that backcourt, it just wasn't working. It's too bold on the guards. And it just didn't have a very good rhythm. And now, unfortunately, Colin had the knee injury. So he's basically for the rest of the year, but it's putting the ball in Darius's hands full time. Okay, let's move on to the front court. This team has a pretty interesting combination of young big guys, like Jared Allen, Evan mobley, and Lowery marketing. And then one now getting up there in years big man in Kevin Love. Yeah, and honestly that they start that three big lineup, you know, when Larry is healthy, which I don't think a lot of people thought was something that would work at the beginning of the season. But yeah, they start having mobley and Jared Allen and it.

"Days. Start the countdown. Start the countdown. All right. We are gonna wrap Joe sway just popped in so we're gonna let him have a final word here. I know he's having some technical difficulties. It was noisy as F both. Everything. And then as noisy again, it was the quiet down. Sorry about that, guys. That's all right. Look, I just took to your point dog. I caught the last minute and a half. Look, this team, they're not going to get this piece that's going to make them a championship team all of a sudden. But what they can do is consolidate, and obviously. You know, you have to use it obviously before it expires. And I don't think Brad Stevens in this first year of managing this team this thing, I don't think he drops the ball in that way. I think that's the last thing he wants to do. He hit a couple of call home runs, but solid hits throughout the.

"You make in season deals if you're a team like the Celtics for two reasons. Or for any team, you make in season deals. If you think you're a player away or this is the best moment, most advantageous moment to pull the trigger on it, you know and with the Celtics isn't necessarily in season. You might wait till the off season. But you do have all of those TPs that expire by June. So if you're going to use that one actually goes late, doesn't it? 'cause they did that for you. No, they're like, June, and they're, I think you have one after one in the actual off season, but two are during the season. So when did free agency start? It was August, right? Yeah. So the fournier ones. But it's normally it won't be. Well, when did they start the season this year? Did they start normal time? It'll be in July then because it's right around 4th of July. They'll have time to do it while the off season's going. I'm fairly confident about that. Sometimes they move it if the season changes dates. Just to make it proportional, but if it's just a year from the date, then it will be I guess. Because that's when they actually did that trade. But we'll see. I don't know that exactly. I had the dates somewhere, but that is the concern that you do have. Well, you can do that in the year, right? Like, pick up the salary, hopefully it's a multiyear guy rather than a fournier, you can do the schroder thing. You can do those in one deal together. It's just going to be expensive if you're taking a lot of money back for Schrodinger. Let's say the stuff they can do in year. I think the big blockbuster everybody's waiting for, especially with all the teams packed in the middle of this year. And I don't think that's going to change anytime soon and all this COVID stuff that emerged. I don't see a ton of action this year. I think all this stuff is thrown at for a wrinkle. The new playoff format with 20 teams get in, as well as the COVID situation in the league. We'll see..

"Yes, you're right. Brown, that's much more his mentality, you know, if they're getting it off a miss and he goes and you know you're keeping the defense on their hills. Tatum just gets those boards and walks and he just can't get that out of his head, you know he's been better. He's better than this. It's the one thing that's still drives me crazy. He's so deliberate. You know, after grabbing a defensive board and turning it up and you're right, you do see Jalen helps them do it. They are generally speaking from a pace of play perspective, not, you know, not one of the faster teams. Can I say this too? And I've had conversations with other fans at this point. I've looked at the trade machine. I've given this more thought than I ever have before this year, just given where they're at and the trade value that we've talked about. They should never, ever trade Jalen. For anything. They have to keep them. They have to. He's just too good. You can't trade a guy. We've talked about selling low for him in the pieces. That would be a disaster just in terms of value. I don't think there's one from one trades out there. At this point, the lid one. I'm kind of out on ground being the guy in the middle of that trade. Simmons certainly I'm not swapping them out. Sabonis? No. Like, who around the league would you town? That's the point I know on towns for him. Everything is a lateral move unless you get pieces. He's too good. Everybody's begging for this guy. I adjusted Rowan on dome theory and he's like, can we get Jalen to Cleveland? Please, please. We'll give you anything. Well, I mean, I think it's silly. Did you guys see the bleacher report? Suggested trade today for sabonis. All for Boston? Yeah. I didn't see it now. It was smart, grant, Romeo, and one first rounder. First of bonus. You're going to need more pipes than that..

Everyone gets really mad when we don't talk about it, but we definitely have to. No, I mean, we do we're guilty. We take my favorite self explanation. We take Jalen for granted, and when he has good games, we're like, yeah, 'cause you expect that. But it's been a weird year for him. So in a normal 80 game year when he drops a game like this, you'd be like, okay, so it was a Jalen night. And then tomorrow is a Tatum night and then blah, blah, blah. But it's three games back. Let's talk about how he looks physically. Charade, you're there, Bobby, you've been there. You guys have been at the garden. You're watching him move. Do you see anything? And again, it was obvious how poorly he was moving the first stint obvious. Whether you're at on the quarter TV, his expression, his everything in between, you could tell he was just stressing over it, even if he wasn't actually grabbing at it. How's he moving to you guys right now? I think he's moving decent, but part of his biggest problem, I think is more mental than physical at this point. I do think that there's some mental scar tissue that he's kind of breaking through and getting past because this is an injury that has affected him twice, at least two times to where he's missed significant time. And that has a way of causing some second guessing of your body when you're out there. So I think Jalen, what he's finding is that as the game goes on, his body is saying, this is okay..

Bobby jumped the gun the Salem location is near as high. But their lifelong pals from Springfield. There's a couple of locations out there, one near the MGM casino. You can also go to east Hampton or as Bobby. Salem. This is the thing. Not enough people took advantage of this. So we're going to tell you about the deal one more time. If you go there and you mentioned that the garden report told you to stop by, you get a T-shirt for a penny. That's literally all I have to do. And then you get anything else you want there too. That's not on us, but the T-shirt is on us. One penny. You know what? And I have a couple t-shirts and they're very comfy too. So go to. That green one. Otherwise, go to insad dot com or call 8 7 7 500 insert for any inquiries you have about anything else going on. But if you want the T-shirt for a penny, just mention the garden report, go get yourself some once again. Have a good time. Yeah, have a good time. Visit the various locations throughout Massachusetts or go to insad dot com or call 8 7 7 500 insight. Now it is, it is. I mean, I'll never forget when he was the most improved player. When he got interviewed, he was so it would seem like he just woke up and just like he was out of it. But it doesn't mean he doesn't care about basketball, right? Doesn't mean he doesn't care about becoming a better player. So I don't think he got mad and I had summer league and we were talking to him after one of the games and he was upset that that perceptions out there about him. He's like, I care about this game a lot. I hate that people. I think that's fair. But this is the year that we're away from put it all together. You know, it's funny because, you know, Donald, you were saying earlier how he's been solid and you know, but what does he do exactly, right? It's like a little bit of everything, but nothing. What do you do here? Yeah. So it's like we're seeing flashes of who we think he is and then we're like, well, when's he gonna put it all together? Because some nights he doesn't even show up at all. Yeah. It's the Jack of all trades Master of None sort of thing you're right. Here's the thing though. What I will say what I'll say happens to these guys sometimes, some of it's on them. I think some of it is also just simply, you've got alphas on this team right now. And it's unless they're going to say, give me the frigging ball. It's mine. You know, there are going to be games where, I mean, Marcus smart has two games in two out of the last three games that jaylen Brown is back. "Look what happened to Pritchard here, you know? I mean, obviously not being shot is an obvious thing that helps us chances, but also just being engaged on both ends of the floor. I think you did a tremendous job tonight and the same thing happened a couple nights ago. Why do you think you went to the bench or? I think it's just at that point now where there's because there's no stable group or a collection of players he can rely on. I think he's just got to reach. He's got to try. Experiment, to me, the one thing I always loved about Brad Stevens was that if you were on the active roster, you knew there was a chance you might play. You absolutely knew that was a chance. And I think that if there's one thing if there's only one thing you may, I would like to see him adopt from Brad, that will be it. The fact that there's the field as though they need because it's going to get called. You're going to get a chance to I don't think he necessarily does that as well as he should. I think he's understanding, as he learns how to be a head coach, you got to empower your players to feel a little big, they've got a shot at playing every night. 'cause there's nothing worse than seeing a guy ahead of you playing like crap, and you don't play at all. Or you don't play much. Especially like 30 games into the season. Yeah. What do you think? What do you think it was, John? With what? Why started? And yeah. I think size played a role into it as well. So sometimes you just have to look at the other side and see what you can get away with there. But in this case, that would be a consideration, but tonight they started two point guards Cleveland did. So I don't think that that would have been it, right? Because you didn't have a liability there. I would say I'm saying size generally could be why you wouldn't want to go with the two shorter point guard type guys there. If you're so used to double big and playing the three wings allows the switch ability and does more things. So the defense and the size would make sense regularly. Not necessarily in tonight's game. But that's why I like it there. I also like it for shooting. I also think just in terms of roles, it's much easier, it's much easier to hold your rotations when you're not constantly moving people around. If in your mind, you want Dennis schroder to lead that bench unit and that bench offense. You know, it makes more sense to plug someone else into the starting lineup and leave them there. And so maybe now that Jalen's back, he's decided I've always wanted Dennis on that second unit. So I'm keeping him there. And that's just. That allows you to set your rotations. It's not as much a demotion as it is. This is the role I envisioned for him and I need to start using him in it. I've got guys all right now that have the ball in their hands a lot in that first unit. And I don't want gen us out there with jaylen and Tatum right now. It's going to muck things up. Plus I still want Marcus to have the ball in his hands 'cause I want him to be out there making plays for those guys too. It's just kind of in that role. It's a stranger combination there. So I don't love it when they're all in there together that much and maybe that's why. That's what I would guess. I don't know if he talked about it or not for why he went with it. But we've been talking about it from the beginning..

I think it's in play now. I love what we're seeing now. Yeah, it's definitely in play, but I mean, I'm still waiting for consistency here, you know? All we said is to be the backup point guard. No, just for background josue, all we said is, you know, Schroeder's had a couple bad games and all of a sudden you're starting to see the trade Schroeder stuff pop up, which we're like, okay, it doesn't work that way when he's bad and you don't want him anymore. You know, whatever. But really more on tonight. If and when you ever move on, this is the worst of him. And I just don't think he's super healthy. But if and when you move on, if it ever happened, you'd feel better about it if you saw this version of Pritchard. Of course you need to see consistency. But again, with the kids, you're taking scraps right now, right? Because you want to see just the positive upward movement in their games. You know, you don't need 20 points a night, 20 minutes a night. You just want to see them make the most of their minutes and not look lost or unplayable. You know, you want fewer of those nie Smith and transition moments tonight, you know? Or nie Smith Euro step, which might have been, I might have laughed harder at that than I have at any comedy this year. Smith trying to Euro step and drawing that offensive file was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. But you want to avoid those and you want to have some good moments. Romeo good moments tonight, you know? Right, right. And that's exactly what we were talking about the other night, right?.

"He's one of your few reliable guys in terms of rotation players here. I'm not going crazy about what Pritchard nee Smith Langer did this week. Extra opportunity for sure. But let's not forget those guys. They got some opportunity early, and they struggled immensely in a prichard, especially kind of hit a shot to start this year. So I'm not a 100% ready to sell this position out to purchase if we're going to go in that direction. And again, I think some people in the chat are suffering from selective memory with some things like at least in this group. I'm a big Dennis supporter. And I think he's been critical to what they've done early. I'd still even though I actually like what Dennis schroder does would have traded him at the peak at his peak value, simply because I don't think this is a year that they're going to contend. So yeah, if he starts playing well again, I'm all for it. In New York, thanks for there, though. No doubt about it. Especially if you know there's something there that's going to be a reasonable facsimile. You know, and that's all you're trying to get from Pritchard is, oh, okay. A little bit of offense and a guy I'm not afraid to play, you know? Because his minutes over the first 20 games were really, really bad. But the last few times out, a bit more confidence, getting into the lane a little bit better than he was before. That was something that wasn't happening at all early. And the shots falling. So that makes a huge difference. And he's not killing you on the defensive end either. He's even grabbing off. He's been good defensively. So you don't have a beef with him right now. I like what we're seeing. Yeah, I like what we're seeing, but you know, it's still a relatively small sample size compared to what we've seen prior to when it wasn't playing great..

"But when the teams back in full schroder has a role to play, and that role is the get to the from the bench, drive that offense, score some points, energy, you know, Vinny Johnson microwave sort of stuff. You know, come on in there and do your thing, but you can't be this frigging inefficient. You can't take every shot when you're out there and you can't miss every shot when you're out there. In addition to the turnovers and everything, I mean, this was all around just The Crown man of crap games for dentist Schroeder. This was Harold tonight. So when you see this, I get it, all the detractors immediately are going to be like, see, he's the worst. One, I think he's a little hobbled, but two, when he plays like this, and you start to see things from Pritchard, which you have over the last couple of games that makes him look a little bit more competent and usable. You can start to make an argument now about, you know, about the minutes. Yeah, and that's what you really want. The one thing I think I want to see more of is like real legitimate competition. Where guys who if you're struggling is a guy that's ready to take your spot if you're not getting it done. Is that what you are starting tonight was? I kind of felt that way, yeah. I mean, I love with Romeo did today. And the other guy we can talk about him later with rob, I thought was rob was for sensational today. He's going to get some great flow at both ends of the floor. There was that one sequence defensively. And we talked about rob you know as far as being just such a quick jumper where there was a sequence where he contested the shot was out of position. The guy reloaded, was able to contest that shot. And then a guy just. Ready when you called upon like Romeo like Pritchard and Joe swash is not. We give him all these examples and he's just like, what? Why? When you get your opportunity, you got to cash it in, okay? That's what they say. Yeah. Absolutely. "But when he goes bad, he looks too when I checked in the first half. More than that. And then he had at least one more in the second half. Turnovers. He had three. So everyone just needs to realize two and a half and then one more. You know, you can't you can't put the magnifying glass on every single turnover from Dennis schroder. And so you see, he turns the ball over. Because that's about the two he throws one to the guy who had a bad one potato super Marcus does. I mean, like, Marcus had a couple brutal ones tonight, too. I mean, it's again, it's like they both get a clean up agendas on like just isolating the thing you don't like about the one guy. Yeah, he's had some high turnover games for sure. John, what did you say? What did you say? Yesterday, he's like, if he didn't turn the ball over, he wouldn't have been available to you this awesome. Right, exactly. I mean, that's pretty compelling. Right. So you got to take a couple of awards here. I don't think Schroeder I think that he's more likely to win you a game than lose you a game. Because I don't think I just don't think to turnovers if that's the one knock on him. Or if he has a bad shooting night, like, I don't think his, I don't think this tells you what allow his role to be big enough for them to straight up lose you a game. I'm not saying he might miss a shot at the buzzer and you might lose, but I don't think Dennis Schroeder can kill you the way jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum can kill you if they just completely shit the bed on any given night. Well, that's the big question, Jimmy. And I asked this today, is he going to keep starting? Because there's a real case here. You know, you blow a game wide open with 38 and you're looking like the lead score many nights. It's a case there to be more prominent than what they're doing here. But it feels like they still want them to be that 6 man. So, you know, touching them. The thing I said about that over the weekend is, you know, and this is where I'm torn on it because I like what he brings, but really the only thing that matters is, does he make the Jays better? Or is the lineup better when he's in it or not? Versus smart, say, you know, if you went back to the original starting lineup, which apparently he may was planning on doing before rob got hurt. So that's what you're kind of, you're looking at smart instructor, right? I'm looking at smart info. But also I'm looking at looking at the pitch. Adjustment Schroeder, how would that look? And right now, Schroeder with Jason or Schroeder with Jalen a Schroeder with both and Marcus with both on their own independently, the numbers don't really tell you a story that makes it clear one is better than the other..

"Without, without much question, Bobby conveniently leaves, will come right back. Well, you know, Robert, he's gone. He felt Bobby's gun. Celtics team? He just disappeared. Nowhere to be found, yeah. Why don't you exactly what it's like? Why would you re-enter the room when you're not there? Is he a ghost? All right. Yeah. Anyway, I'd be, I'd be shocked right now. I mean, shocked, if they, if they, if they're if they win, if they win that 7/8 game, and that's when it's sad, because all you're really wanting them to do at this point is a compete. Play hard. Give yourself a chance to win the game you don't have to. And that, that was the beautiful thing I thought about the second Miami Heat game for the first half. At least, it looked like they wanted to win a game and they were competing. They were pulling ahead, Miami wasn't pulling ahead, they were actually engaged in the game and that's what you want as a fan. You just want them to show that they actually give a rat's ass about winning that game on that night. But when you go to Cleveland, even if it's a back-to-back and even if you are short-handed short, handedness does not, it should never ever affect your compete level, cuz whether you got a full fifteen or six of you, you still have the, you have the opportunity to compete. And that's the frustrating part about this team. Yeah. How many people in again, you know, I know it's a personality thing. So it's hard to say log. Okay, Tatum looks like he doesn't care. I think that's unfair. Sometimes Jaylen Brown's kind of that guy too. He doesn't have that thing. But like I just I would think the losing would affect them more in a morgue word way you know like you'd see more displays you'd see more anger and frustration. It almost just feels like like it's if accepted their fate. Yeah. And that's the sad part. I know this is like bullshit media body language stuff. I'm just saying when you're watching, let's just take it from a casual Observer standpoint. If you're watching this team, do they look torn up that they're underachieving. They don't, they don't, they look like you're very much of accepted that like, hey, this is who we are, and this is where it's going to go. And then, that's that and when it talked about it afterwards, you don't get that off. Since that, this really pisses them off. The fact that they are not playing as a team, as well as they should, they're not competing as a team as well as they should and I don't understand how that happens off..

"You 50% off your initial deposit off. All right, well, come in. And that's a wrap. That's the show by guys. 123 Cancun. Yep to lose against. This is a method upper-right. This is much as I have to say. That's it. That's unfortunate. So, you have time to Celtics have left John speechless, look at home. You know what? Bobby's going to say something. That'll accept me. More than what happened tonight? I'm sure. So, I don't know what. Bobby go. Go, go, go, go ahead. Now, the pressure is on the do it. I was going to say is that you should a sense coming into today, that's what Brad. Said, free game that the teams kind of packing in at this point they're in a good position to walk up 7. They obviously have some guys with some bumps and bruises here. So it wasn't surprising to see smart kind of packed in and we probably won't see him. The rest of the way. I'd imagined rabu definitely won't see the rest of the way as he tries to recover from that tariff do. I just wonder dog. Rodger and I were kicking this back and forth to start this one. Why is Tatum playing heavy minutes on a back-to-back? Why is Tristan Thompson still out there as he deals with a peck strain, you push in those guys and off the others back and you still don't even win the game. You kind of you said there in this game that you thought the Celtics were trying to win. John, I didn't see anything that pointed that out today. I didn't see it from an effort standpoint. I saw it from a strategic standpoint. You started taking them, you played Tristan, wasn't a hundred percent you played for, like I said, we can debate the merits of starting to remount Waters tonight. I understand the philosophy. I think you wanted him to calm down sex in a little bit. That was the theory behind that. I'm not saying it's the right call, but he clearly played the best. What he thought was the line up to win tonight's game, but I just didn't understand any of it, you know, like, you know, what's the point of planning? If you're not really going to try? What's the point of keeping Tatum out there till thirty seconds left in the fourth quarter of a game that had been decided for a while. Like why is dead? Still playing heavy minutes. Like what do you? What was the what are you doing? What are we doing here again? Know I think a lot of that has to do with them thinking that they had thousand. Not to beat the Cavs you guys. Don't think that I mean, I know that's not what it looked like when we watched it when it washed it unfold when they started. Yeah. Yeah. But I don't, I mean to to what Bob you're saying, you know..

"His bird rights than go over the cap for him. They want though. The mid level exception adam which is ideal Maybe since there's so much uncertainty in his class in i mean i know like the cab. Numbers are set and everything. But maybe you just want to post up shop here. In cleveland and i know for a fact rest in wants to finish his career at the cavaliers. It means a lot to him that he's the most tenured cavalier cleveland's roster since he's been here since two thousand eleven at two thousand ten two thousand eleven though so crazy to say man like i can't even believe that it was that long ago he got drafted such a baby then too i know he looked so different going back and looking at him. When you guys rafted i remember. When he played for byron scott he was a backup four and they tried to play tristan thompson before it is in various the five or they tried to put a traditional center leandra biden next to thomson and thompson's only offense of game was deliberately like take the ball of both hands like put it between his legs wind up and try and docket or you just do put backs and just rebounds and i was just like. He's not that great and then the lebron taught him when he needs to do and like players strengths. And you know having rich. Paul agent makes things difficult for teams but helps scotus player and I wouldn't be surprised if he does leave. But i would like to have him back. I I know for a fact. Both la teams and that if are interested in him and if things go sideways in toronto at the baka they're going to approach trista develop maybe signing him to a cheaper contract because trillions willing to play on a cheaper deal from what i've heard as long as he's playing for a championship if you had either l. a. t. Toronto those are pretty good paths to make it to the nba finals. Yeah no definitely like. I'm i'm a little bit murky on throw. I have no idea. I'm sure that they're going to do some good stuff. This offseason but the odd spot like they're not like they're in a bad spot but they're like kind of a weird spot Their timelines are Everything that can happen with vanfleet eaten. Obviously back baca. We don't know if marcus hall is going to play overseas now like that. Never got confirms remember. Powell came out was like no. He's not doing that but then marx never said anything about it. So it's like. I have no idea it's weird Definitely did take a step back though. So i wouldn't be super shocked but Yeah a sort of reminds me. Remember when nicole miratec was like the price free agent he was like last dwayne dead men but in twenty nineteen like everybody was like. Oh we have to sign nicole mirta. She had like seven suitors than he's like. Oh my wife wants me to play in barcelona so good bikes remember. He went to. Milwaukee was a massive dumpster. Fire awful I thought i'm like okay. That's a really good side. Yeah yeah. I'm like that's going to push them over the edge and he was like you said an absolute fire which which is a shame. I like marriages game. But hey if he's happier playing. Spain more power to him..

"And then there was the af I think the only thing that's maybe keeping him in the conversation is sort of trend of the smaller quicker quarterbacks doing well in the NFL. And maybe if Mary comes in and does well and Baker Mayfield wins an MVP, maybe somebody will give Johnny Menzel a chance. But I mean, John Menzel is gonna make the difference. If this doesn't work what's left to running out of syllable. If he does make the comeback, though, the marketing people in the commercial people are going to be flummoxed by not being able to build anything around old John football because it doesn't feel as good as Johnny football. It needs the two syllable. You know, why he big gem Why's that? Because that's what his career smell. So I go toilet joke. Baby. Menzel? Should baseball fight. The White House decision to block there remain with only one person at this table has fled communism. My pain is borrowed. He made all the sacrifices. So I would never have to make a single compromise win that money isn't going to the people of Cuba from normalized relation. And no Cuban-exile or immigrant believes that that money is actually going to the people anytime you visit Cuba. You see? It's not going to the people when that money is still going to the Cuban government as much as I'm for rationally normalized relations with Cuba. I can't defend the idea of our government giving money that's not going to the people in terms of what major league baseball can do all they really can do is continue to promote the idea of why they wanted that agreement in the first place was just to her human trafficking involving with these players defecting. That's all they really care about is the safety of these players, and you can't argue with them in that scenario. But when you involve all these politics what can. Baseball at self really do back when ESPN was celebrating all of this going to Cuba, me and him. I in tire family was invited to go with the SPN and mom said it out. She said, I'm not going to tell the rest of us putting go guess, it was ready to go. This. Necks highly questionable. About it. Hanging out you don't cross there. Oh, not until the light man, really trait. I'm on it doesn't matter. Yes. He's waiting for the light. Play the game that can never sleep hit three afternnon coffee..

"That's bad. That's good. Poppy, it's good. It's a killer joke. It's wonderful. Dan. Welcome to another highly questionable Tuesday yesterday. Chris Bosh was on tomorrow clay Campbell today. What we're trying to get to clay Campbell. Is what do you like on the show? I like spicy Aaron Rodgers Dan there. That's it's so mean knowledge. The VA forever. Racy sham of Louis into a sixteenth. See a lot of teams win the championship has every year. Only one time has a one laws to sixteen and until another one does Virginia is alone. They're all of that said a really nice story for Virginia a year after losing to a sixteen seed becoming the champion. This is a kind of narrative that we can get by ESPN would have had a whole lot of trouble trying to get behind the narrative of the Texas Tech red raiders. But this is what I would say about this entire tournament. We know what to be random ball rarely a champion gotten as many breaks Virginia. Did they weren't down with seconds left in three different games? And they won all of them that got Duke knocked out they stole the one from Purdue didn't even deserve it. So they got every call every bounce and last night the same thing happened for but that stuff won't be remembered, they were officiant in their recovery. They became that embarrassing team that lost to a sixteen seat. But it's always going to be followed with. Oh. But they won the championship the next year. In fact, they actually did a favor for the next one that loses to a sixteen seed because they'll have to hang onto that. Hey, maybe we can pull it Virginia and win it next year. I'll remember this team for finally showing off some -fensive town and some of the skill. Kyle guy was phenomenal that step back. He hit for three early in the game was great tide. Jerome is essentially college Manu Ginobili, he's fun to watch play basketball and man de'andre hunter he looks like nine hundred ninety four but he is an NBA player at NBA big ready right now, I really love watching this Virginia team by the it. Anew anew Virginia was Wilson its way to a big wing body. You know that I when I saw that thirty. Yeah. Thrown on that floor. I said though, the curse us being removed from Virginia big tortilla floor is gone. That's it. And I tell you my prediction can through when I saw that. That's an all, you know, Texas ACC for big big big big surprise tonight. It's not Texas sex. I wish it were Texas sex. It's not Texas sex. What do you make your back on the police report story man, he was upset so upset this is the anger is we've ever heard Aaron Rodgers publicly even when he's Mike up any press conference setting. He was bothered by the store. He doesn't even sound like Aaron Rodgers. That's how many octaves voice was climbing. It's not a mystery. This was a smear attack by a writer look into advances career talking with mostly irrelevant bitter players who all have an agenda whether they're advancing their own careers or just trying to stir old stuff up part of the the article seems to to want to say the Packers. Worried about me as Lear the football team moving forward if they knew there were the contract last year and two if I really dislike Mike them much. Why would I resign one? If I play well, and we do what we do around here. It's going to be me and Mike my career. So if I really disliked him that much that got re-sign am, I really that is the money that important to me. I love Mike McCarthy, I'm telling you that I think he rehearsed mostly irrelevant bidder..
