You cannot just look at the weather like it's going to be beautiful all the time. We need the rain. Welcome the rain and I always want to make sure going forward that you know I don't pull pull the rain when it comes in because man Colorado dry is not good. And you know, I was thinking. Just the other day. I was thinking about all the greatest places in the world to live, and we talk about these things often out there and I was thinking about you know how beautiful it is in Denver and You know, we don't have any natural disasters and then last year Joe Joe, being around here and seeing that, uh, we were basically locked in the smoke with the smoke. The smoke locked us in and we couldn't go anywhere and it had nowhere to escape to you. Did you left? Well, I tried, but I went to I went to Seattle and in Seattle. They had they had fires. I went to California camera. Seattle actually had the riots going on at the same time you at the rock. They had the riots and the fires, and then I went to Arizona, and they Had fires, so I went to California. I went to Washington, said the state of Washington. Um, I played this great golf course called Snoqualmie. And I was playing it and that the entire time I was playing that there was, uh it was ominous, You know, dark smoke cloud that was over the entire area again. Don't smell it, too, right? Right. So I'm taking this rain. I'm taking his reign and I'm loving it. I'm not. I'm never complaining about this rain. All right, So the only thing I'm complaining about and look, I don't want to put the cart in front of the horse. But you know when Cathy Walker sticks her head in here, and she says, buckle up, we could be in for some of the worst weather that we have seen so far this year. Um as far as being stormy. Benjamin Albright darkie away Broncos insider who has been doing Great work keeping track of what's been kind of going on with the, uh Aaron Rodgers situation which in all honesty, except for this possible, opt out bend, It's been pretty quiet. Well, Yeah, we reported two weeks ago that people from Aaron Rodgers camp were intimated to us. That error was going to be engaging on anything until after the Fourth of July weekend that he was on vacation. Until that point in time, I did get a hold of some people to ask about the the opt out stuff, So we do have some information there. But other than that, Yeah, he's pretty much hold up and trying to enjoy relaxing this summer. So what is the opt out information? How does that How does that all work in? What would that mean as far as him playing again in Green Bay, or possibly being on the trade bloc? Well, uh, what it would mean It would be similar to what John James did last year where you simply opt out of the year. You keep your money, it rolls forward and you go from there. I've been told that Aaron Rodgers is not even considering that that he plans to play this year. He plans to play somewhere other than Green Bay. And it's a Green Bay Packers should be working on trying to find him trying to find a trade partner and a team that he wants to go to. I will tell you that, you know again. His preferred destination is the Denver Broncos. He wants to play in Denver. He wants to be in Denver. And so that's where that stands at the moment. There hasn't been a break on that. So, um as we as we go forward, the timeline really starts. You know, after this Fourth of July weekend and and going towards training camp, and it becomes a battle of wills to Green Bay willing to hold on to Rogers even through a season if he's a distraction versus Rodgers desire to play elsewhere. One of the things that have been, Uh, one of the topics that have been percolating out in Green Bay has been what's going on now with Devante Parker, the outstanding wide receiver who is Aaron Rodgers, is Favorite target, and he's in the last year of his deal. But we all understand that with Devante, certainly Davante Adams with Davante Adams. The one thing that we do know is that Positional players like wide receiver running back offensive tackle. Those guys will end up getting a franchise tag on them. If they are the kind of players that we know that they are. But when This situation is it's a little different could The Raiders and Derek Carr actually be gone after Davante Adams next year. Or you think that this is something that could also happen this offseason, just a jettison from Aaron Rodgers. And with that? Jettison from Davante Adams. Well, you know, Jon Gruden's made no secret. The fact he loves going after savvy veterans and know what they're doing, and Adam is one of the best in the league. You look at that Raiders receiving corps and there's certainly some promising talent there, but nothing to the level of the Davante Adams. So yeah, they would be. They would be all over that. The problems, though, with the Raiders aren't really on the offensive side of the ball. Their offense was plenty five last year on the defensive side of the pole. Yeah, I don't know how to tie it up big money in another. Great receiver really helps move them past Kansas City in the division when they can't stop anybody, All right, so so then putting it out there all on the table. If Aaron Rodgers decides that he is going to do what you want, James did and just opt out and get to keep his money and everything just gets pushed forward. Is there a time limit on when he has to announce that he is doing that. Yeah, That's that's by Friday, and that would be irrevocable. So if he did that announced that that would be you would have to stay with that for the entire year. E. There's no take backs on that again. I've been told he is not going to do that. So But that deadline would be Friday. I'm trying to figure out what's going to happen here with this situation because you know, as a former player, I look at a guy like Aaron Rodgers and I understand what his frustration is. I was just talking to one of my teammates that were part that that was part of my Super Bowl runs here in Denver. And he still holding a grudge from something that happened 20 plus years ago, so I know it's real. When when players say that, you know, they're done with an organization. I'm moving on. I mean, we had a situation here with the great Brandon Marshall, the Y receiver who just couldn't take it anymore, and said he wanted out of Denver forced his way out. What's Aaron Rodgers? Best way to force him to force itself out of Green Bay. Well right now he's taking the smart approach and say, you know, being very vocal about what it is that he wants and moving forward that I think if you get closer to training camp, and the Green Bay Packers refused to budge, you may have to go the route where you're less professional. You might have to start being a distraction. You know, you might have to be that guy at camp. It's causing an issue only get shipped out because you know if we may And they certainly can hold on to his right through the season and then dealing after the year. It takes a playing year off of Rogers shelf life, which you know he's in his late thirties. He doesn't have that many years left. So I think that if you if you're Aaron Rodgers, you continue to do it The right way. You're doing it right now. But as training camp gets closer, and you know if you start missing days and They say they're not going to move you. I show up. And then I start being the worst distraction ever. I'm loafing and practice. I mean, I'm talking about I'm throwing footballs backwards to the point where it's obvious that you need to make a move. I'm just looking here at this list.
