"Start to heal Yeah I absolutely feel that I'm able to start healing It feels like such a slow process but I feel I have more resources This program helps me kind of find that and how to find myself and even in the hard times because there will always be hard times in the future and everyone's lives Yeah Mark Schmidt and I'm going to bring you back in here to end I wonder if you could tell us what you think at stake We just heard Katherine's story there A lot of people are talking about how nurses and doctors are so burnt out that they can't even come to work Well burnout and what we're talking about here are two different things Burnout is a manifestation of what we're talking about It's an effect of what we're talking about But the burnout we're talking about are the moral injury that we're talking about rather is a spirit one It's a wounded a soul And once this thing gets over and the operational tempo drops that is going to allow to allow these rules to come up to the surface And if there is a way to be able to affirm to be able to say you're not alone But what you're going to have at the end if we don't address these things is a healthcare system that's going to be in a hell of this because we're working with walking wounded it's going to reach a breaking point Mark symbol funding is a chaplain at rush university medical center in Chicago and nurse Catherine king Has joined us as well Thank you so much for both of your time I wish you all the best Have a good day The city of San Francisco is relaxing mask requirements even as the state of California is keeping its indoor mask mandate for at least to know the two weeks Starting today in San Francisco if you're fully vaccinated and boosted you don't have to wear a mask anymore in certain places such as the office in the classroom or at the gym Let's bring in KQED health reporter Leslie McClure Leslie what does the change to the mask mandate mean for the people's San Francisco Well I think this allows a lot more movement than people can go to the office and take their masks off They can go to the gym They can go to church Students can return indoor to college classes and take their masks off as basically applies to places where there's a stable group of vaccinated people This was cut the rule that was in place before the amaran surge so back in December you will though this time have to show proof of a booster shot to go maskless And if you're unvaccinated you actually can enter these spaces but you do need to get a negative test and wear a mask If you're unvaccinated Okay so as you said part of the reason for the change is that San Francisco has a high vaccination rate 82% There has also been economic pressure we know from businesses and individuals who have won at the city to loosen the reins and lose the masks But it's thought the decision to drop the mask mandate in offices and classrooms could also be a carrot to get people to come back into the office What does it mean I wonder for you personally Leslie is somebody who works in an office in San Francisco I'll go back to work Yeah I talked to our producer our morning edition producer this morning and I said how many people are at the office today And he said well I'm still the only one So I don't think people are going back in droves today that I think over the next couple of weeks will probably see a trickle start going back in and as soon as this acron really tapers off which is expected in the next couple of weeks you know we're seeing cases drop pretty fast right now I think people will both be motivated by this relaxation in the mask mandate and also because they'll feel safe enough to do so So we'll see a lot more traffic downtown I will be going to the office again which I was before the amaran surge And I think that will be begin to become more popular across the board in the Bay Area In the San Francisco area And just to be clear you've been working as everybody else at KQED It's just they're not in the office except for that one One producer morning edition So a question that always comes up when rules change is enforcement And as you said some people are going to be able to lose them masks Some will have to keep the masks on So who is going to tell people when they do have to wear the mask Yeah so basically businesses are responsible to make sure that this is happening But there is in the order there is an enforcement clause in there that the share for the police department could be brought in if there are reports that businesses are not following this order So if that happens if a business is not complying then they could be forced to vacate the premises or even close until the Department of Health allows them to reopen But I don't expect that in San Francisco we didn't see that before And I didn't expect that going forward But maybe because there's this new nuance with unvaccinated folks potentially we could see it going forward Okay And very briefly California's statewide mask mandate is in place for another two weeks at least how likely is that they going to hold given that the forecast for COVID are in the next few weeks I think the case rates are dropping fast enough that that could happen but I don't think it's quite a guarantee just yet Probably either.

"Ron Bellamy for them to kind of be able to show the progress that some of the corners and safeties have made. You know, that's a young position. Some young guys playing for them to be able to show that off. I think big for you know, not not to say that there's not some of that on offense, but I think there's a lot of newness on defense that the recruits Needed to be able to see with their own eyes. Yeah, I know something that they were, I'm sure very curious about and you know you're You talked a lot about the Michigan Games. I wanted to see. I know that you've had a chance to follow a lot of the in state recruits. I saw some, you know, talking about West Bloomfield. With their 2023 Sam Edge, Morgan wondering if you've had a chance to see any other games around the state of Michigan High School games and what your thoughts have been about the state of Michigan in high school football getting kicked off here this fall. Yeah, I have last week. I was at Cap attacking Muskegon, which was a big showdown on paper cast. Tech ended up running away with it a little bit more than everybody thought. But they're a powerhouse this year, and I'm actually going to get to see them again tomorrow. When they play King That's going to be a big matchup right there. You know, they will almost undoubtedly see each other again in the city championship game, or you're going to have lots of future college talent on that field. So you know, watching what Dion Walker dead and he's playing both sides of the ball this year. I think, Michigan if he ends up in Michigan, they're going to an interesting decision with him because he is over 66 almost 67. And 330, plus pounds and now playing offensive tackle and defensive tackle. I think that's going to be a you know, he's been known as a defensive lineman, his whole career playing so well at offensive tackle that I could see. Schools wanting to maybe look at him. There kind of reminds me of when I saw him acai back then in high school, actually as an offensive tackle, so he's played really well, Um Dante Moore has lived up to the hype so far this year went down to Indiana played a tough caramel team. And they didn't win, but he did everything that he needed to do in that game to get them to the brink of victory. Um, both teams are too and I'm really excited for that game tomorrow. I'm also going to be stopping in Ann Arbor. Actually, Gabriel Rashard is going to play. Divine child and divine child has a center Dylan send a who has been offered by Michigan offered by Michigan State, Penn State, Northwestern and really, really Yep, too, his offseason regiment. And I think, drop this system like 50 £60 in the off season and is moving while playing well, So with that, being a five o'clock start taking advantage of that and getting to see Dylan before a little bit before heading over to Catherine King. Again. You're listening to Alan. True. Midwest regional manager recruiting 24 7 Sports Allen You had 18 players make their debut last week. Um Most most of them freshman getting an opportunity to play in the Western Michigan game. None more than J. J. McCullagh, McAfee, McCaffrey McCarthy making his play. So, uh, how big was JJ's debut and how big was that? Throw? Going to the other side of the field. And how does that what effect does that have, if any UN recruited You know so first, JJ, the popular guy. He's uh, played seven on seven in Chicago with a lot of top recruits he played at I m G, So obviously he On the roster there with a lot of top recruits, and, uh, I think now in recruiting I don't know how many kids based on them taking visits and some of them playing on Saturday and training and film and all the things that they do, and kids don't just sit there and watch college football from Sundown or sun up to sun down anymore, And I think the viral moments like that helped the visibility of your program and your players and when his when that throw happened in the video spread Across Twitter and social media. I think that that is almost Just as important in invisibility today as anything else recruits see that And they see that it's a true freshman, and they see that as a guy getting an opportunity, So I think that that was big. So beyond just I'm sure the confidence that it gives JJ The excitement that it brings to Michigan. I think having a clip like that spread its way through social media. Is it big in recruiting? That is something that it seems like a lot of other schools or, you know, Michigan fans have pointed to other schools that have been able to plug in and play freshman right away. Like Jamie said. We had 18 that were making their debut here against Western Michigan. Not only with JJ, but seeing, you know, obviously it was Western. The game got a little out of, uh, that the score was a little distant later where we were able to get some more of those guys in but not only with JJ. But seeing all these other young faces play and some of them were, you know, in the Cahill green playing Very meaningful minutes and starting here as a younger guy, not only with JJ, but does that ring out seeing so many young players playing on Michigan's team right now? Yeah, I think so. And even before that, I think that's something that had been brought up before. Um, the end state guys noticed last year when Macari Page was out there. As a true freshman. Michigan has not shied away from playing young guys and From having deep rotation that certain positions, so I think that's been noticeable, but certainly with this group of kids, especially when you're recruiting Within the circle. Um, your recruiting former teammates of J. J McCarthy, your recruiting former teammates of Donovan Edwards, your recruiting Players who know these players who are true freshman on the team to see those guys touch the field for the first time. I think that definitely helps. Um, when when you can say it all you want and and every school Promised these promises These guys at least the opportunity to compete for time. But when they're actually able to be there or turn on the television or pull up Twitter and see the guys that they know in a winged helmet playing football, I think that that certainly is impactful. Well, Alan appreciate you coming on being a part of the M Zone. Look forward to hearing how, uh, how Well recruiting wit with a Yeah, Let's hope Michigan with with my fingers crossed a Michigan victory and You know a well thought out playing and hopefully we can. We can bring in some of these big fish that are coming in. Yeah, I'm looking forward to and I'm already planning to be up late after the game. Getting reactions from these recruits. That will be a late Saturday night for me, but at the time of year we live for us. I appreciate you guys having me on to talk about it. That's Alan. True, Uh, Midwest regional manager 24 7 Sports. Uh, you can always read Allen's Collins in the Detroit News. Uh, we're going to go to a break, and then we come back with a little thing we say. Uh, question of the day, which Mattie will bullets will lead. Let's find out what he has to say about it. You're listening to the M Zone. This is the M Zone. "Update Just after 7 30 yesterday's Green Guide letters page and I quote. I'm loath to admit it, but I'm slowly coming around to semi J on ABC Radio Milton You rocked up to the studio, and he is tempered his self indulgent behavior stripped down nothing. Kylie. Oh, rollout greatly improved his diction. Let's head over. They owe and seems to have struck a nice balance between confident broadcaster and neurotic Twerk. We make up his party reeling off, just prancing around like you. Why? Why? Oh, why does he continue to hide behind a pseudonym? Better? The devil you know, made from Sand McMillan in South Bank. 11 minutes past seven. Wrote My second Green guide letter of the this week and they publish it again this week. Israel's Cabinet points at my points might notable that entirely valid. Did also include a secret Time bomb in the letter, I misspelled the word loath. Added an ape. And when I posted the literal my Facebook pages today, I think it's up to 300 comments now. Classic IBC Chad. This is not a snake eating its own tail. It's eating another stakes tail at the same time. Stable, argue over a fictional letter written by fictional person at 12 past seven. Hope Your Friday is going great. If you are electricity this morning, you are Loving it because it's going to be 190 Colombia's words of your running right through victorious food ball between Milburn and stall. There are thousands Potatoes, however, that I'm not going to be as happy it is a battle right now between electricity. And potatoes, and only one can win. Will. Ellsworth is from the western Victorian economic cultural group? Good morning will Really that Yeah. Titles or electricity, whose side do you want? I think there's only one choice. People like this spot seven. Okay, So what's what's What's the difference? Why can't they to co exist? Well, the problem with what I was next proposed it, putting a transmission line from Iraq to man prospect, which is just south of the Swiss Mountain Hotel. Say between dollars for them crazy week. Everyone's for me without food, Just walking out the front door of the Swiss mountain Hotel. Look to the safe, you'll see the sign on the hill. Piss off on tonight. And they some of them. Some of the cities like card that'll motive into the hill haven't young Joey did it and she's an inspiration to us all young girl on working on the family farm. Taking up the issue of the multinational foreign owned company that's got links back to the CCP Andre outside her front window and itself of the Policeman hotel. They're going to put the largest terminal station in southern Australia, so it's 600 murders or 400 Betas long. It's 60. Acres in size and people go on to 60 acres. What's that mean? Sammy? But it's actually 12 times the soy sauce off the M. C. J. So that gives people in mobile a real perspective. All the payoff from South Australia. The icy tell you will link into that and then you will be new transmission line. Is existing Bellerive Bendigo line, They'll put another loin beside that bigger and scarier and then self off their terminal station. This Abella when you go long continues on the bell, all right, but they're going to run another line up beside it to the terminal station. From Western Victoria and then Will be a big alone that runs stands and open to Theo Kilo to Sydney. Would you be upset if this is happening in Gippsland will Yes, I would be. And I wouldn't wish it on anyone and air groups advocated advocated for to the underground in the Western highway. And that way it won't affect their friends and tweet. We know Say after for the West on highway we don't wish this on anyone. The government talks about due process, all levels of government always talking about you process people growing, produce and stray have very stringent controls over chemicals and phosphate. And then what they do with food production and have to follow everything to the later get honest, They're coming, and they're just trying to roll white road through people's properties of the fifth generation. And just put this pale on and many others on top of us, But they're also going to put this massive terminal station and it's beside a waterway with natural springs that waterway foods into mirror bars. Water supplies. Some 40 K's away. Well, look that the tricky thing is, of course, you know, Yeah. I guess getting people as worked up as you are, And rightly so. But I'm saying people in this city they need the other one. The power a lot of people be listening going on. That's a shame, but gee, glad it's not my backyard. What's what's the next step here? This'll is not a confirmed plan. The next step is Michael Football is making a lot of football match. We're gonna fight alive. The last breath you know the last minute and we're gonna make it a political issue, which is becoming it was mentioned in camera last night for the federal Member, the shadow infrastructure, Mr Minister, Catherine King, and she's got all the speed and told to extract herself from this issue. She won't mention the terminal station. No one will talk about the terminal station Sammy, So it's 12 Times assaults the M. C. J. It's being put on Christine Volcanic ground. In a farming area when it should be in an industrial area and Yussef Wiles. They were deeply in government. Just pull it back, 6.5 theirs and take taste from a Chinese. Count me they had a 19.5 fails and Hector holding government pulled back a third. Fighting 100 million tour up the loose and then put a cover on that land in the hand of Ellie, and that's what we're probably note here a cover on this land, So it's only used for agriculture is not much of this lane. I think people even in the city's become increasingly aware of what can happen even far away when due process is not followed when natural areas that cannot be returned get destroyed, so Watch this space very much. And thank you, Tom this morning really appreciate your time. Thanks, Sami. She's will else was there from the west of Victorian economic cultural group is certainly knows his facts and figures.
