"You mentioned that versatility. Now, if you're not versatile, it's like the rest of the work force. You know, you got to be able to do the inside pitch got to be able to maybe fill in and do an afternoon show. When Eddie in Rocky or sick, you got to do this or that. In that type of situation for these ballplayers. It is the change in that fashion. How does that play with the idea of maybe the D h next year? If that comes to fruition, I know your picture, so you hate it. Well, you know, I'm not a huge fan of D h, but I think it's inevitable. There's no question and yeah, you're right. I mean, it takes a little bit of strategy out of the game as far as double switches and who can play where But you know nowadays game is an interchange bunch of interchangeable pieces, and it shows you how little defense really matters. I mean, teams will talk about how defense matters, but the bottom line is you're in the in the lineup because you can hit And if you could hit, we're going to find a spot for you. Even if you're a little bit lack on your defensive side. It doesn't matter. You drive into you. Give up one. We're still ahead of the game. Are you ever out of a ballgame in Colorado? No, no, You're never at the ball game. I mean, the only way you get out the ballgame out there, is it. You know, you got thrown out of the stadium. I It's a fun place. It's you know you You mentioned a couple of different ballparks. San Francisco being one. Wrigley Field. Definitely. You have a lot of weird games, a Wrigley Field for whatever reason, and and Denver's like one of those, too, So, you know, I think that managers realize that so even if your picture goes out and gives up a six spot in the first inning, you're still in the ball game, and your team has to understand that that they can pack away and come back and hurry. Castano's yesterday last night and I was back and forth, and it was so late that the post game on TV, which you also spent some time on TV, to speak of that on radio, you could dress down and not worry about like looking Pretty for like the Mass is just Do you? How do you like the difference in that? Because it is also different doing what you do. I'm dressed down right now. I mean, I'm dressed down so much, Tommy Thrall actually, out dressed me today, And that Zen thing of a noteworthy event is kind of a shot. And Tommy, too, So that was kind of smooth. I appreciate that little combativeness there. They were sitting next to me. I have to make sure that he's in the conversation. Tell him we said hello in the midst of completely threw me actually, because I didn't expect the shot at Tommy that came out of left field. Umm Qasr. Janos, in that post game interview last night, talked about something that started the season and he had his buddy who was in the stands, sort of come out. It's all over Social media right now, saying what he was thinking of before he got up there and get that big hit in that idea, you know who might have human thinking about in the space on the baseball? Do you think how much of a value was that? I guess his posturing and flexing a little bit that got him the suspension, which I thought was overdone and the fine. I think that's good spending the money in the fine just for the energy for the town for the ball club. To a certain extent, even though it may not be good for baseball, or is it I thought, that's good Baseball. I thought was great Baseball kind of reminded me of Lupin, Ella. I mean, Lou used to go out and put on a show. You know the fire up his team to fire up the stands the city on I think that, you know now I don't think that cost Janos had preplanned that I thought it was, you know, spur of the moment. Emotions coming out. It didn't warrant suspension, for goodness sakes. But of course, in the world of pandemics nowadays and protocol around, Cove it you know, you don't know what you're gonna happen have happened to you so I love that guy, though. You You know, it's amazing how things can change because when Cassie Janos, who's with the Cubs, and it was with the Detroit Tigers, I wasn't a big fan. I'm I thought it was a little bit grumpy. I thought he could be pitched two. I didn't appreciate him anywhere near as much as a player. Now that I've seen him play every day. I love the guy. I mean, he's indispensable as a member of this ball club. He, uh, plays hard. He runs out every ground ball, whether he's gonna be out by 30 ft or or they're three inches and I just love the way place And I think that's one reason why this Reds ball club has has the character that it has because They were able to sign a guy that is a tough guy. I mean, you need some tough guys on your club, and he's just entertaining as all get out. Even you see here in interviews on the radio or seen him on TV, too. I mean, it's like the total package in that regard Starling talking to Chris. Well, she'll be calling the game of Tommy thrall from J. B. P is the Reds try toe finish up road, trip it and get a split in Colorado after a wild night last night, they went 12 innings in a 65 win for the Reds showgirl. Wakayama had an incredible catch. That he may handle gone 40 yards or more on that run..

"Okay, so I don't think that his confidence and distraction level is a big problem there. And I think that, of course, having not Talking to him, even on some calls would if someone if someone worry would told you, Dave, Here we are 26 games into the season that the ace of the Red staff has weighed. Miley, you would have said What Uhh! Wait, Milo Tyler, Molly and what my Wiley's got three wins. I think he didn't give up a run in his first two, first to at least three and two and valleys pitch very well is earned. Run averages is off the charts. Good, but it's kind of funny. I mean, there's Wade Miley sitting up there with a whip that's under one and Malli is pitched very, very well. But Castillo has has struggled. Struggled again yesterday, Right? Well, I mean, you know, Molly and and and Miley. You know, they're interesting pictures, Molly. I think Oh, boy, this is this is hard. I believe he has scrapped his curveball in the last year or two months in Mystic and which I know was a bad pitch for him. I know he is getting more, uh, No higher standard rate more Carry on a fastball. You know, Miley is just simply, you know, the crafty lefty who goes out works fast, which I think 99% of baseball fans love to see. Uh, the picture actually can that I'm lost interested in. Uh, if somebody that I wrote about earlier this week, I should say interviewed him for Fangraphs. You know what was TJ and Tom? Um, if his breaking stuff is phenomenal, and he had the huge save the other night, I did happen to catch that. That was a huge That was a huge moment. He gives up a gap shot. And you know, that's bad news for the red. Yeah, I want to. I think I know it was on Fangraphs. I don't know if it was in your notes column enough, but I know it's in fact, he had the second best spin rate. In baseball last year and everybody you know he came here. Oh, TJ Antone. Okay, well, I mean, he's gonna round out the bullpen and this and that he really if you look and again I throw out 2020. But if you look at what his 2020 season, not necessarily the raw stats, But what he what? What, what he did out into outing. Um, I'm I was a little surprised A that they didn't try to stretch him out in spring training and maybe start him but be I'm very happy is in that bullpen because Mike Lorenzo, it is not I I'm a big TJ Antone fan. No, you know, instead rated side. He gets good break and he makes us his three pitches very well. Which is important, you know, Spend alone does not does not make sure great pitch. But yes, with Simms and Garrett. I'm not pitching well in the pen. They need him and Garrett Garrett to me is one of the most fascinating pitchers and baseball because he has when he's good. Ah, great slighter. Analytically. His slider has almost no horizontal movement and far less than normal death. So if you look at those numbers, you think well, why doesn't he get head around all the time? Yeah, Yeah, Something about his deception that that makes him good. Well, it was there was there was no deception, at least in my my vision. Is that what it was doing last night when he struck out Rizzo and all of a sudden we had that confrontation, then the the bench is empty. Lot of his lot of his game is bravado and a lot of it his confidence he has struggled. I mean, you just look at his wrong numbers. They're not good, but I think that's I think that's the missing link here. We all knew the bullpen was going to be an Achilles heel. On Well, I don't know if I agree that it would be expected that it would be in a killing field this year. I think they've got the bullpen arms. I do want to jump back to Garrett with a thought and somebody brought this up on social media last night, which is that if the cost Janos got suspended for two games for instigating Bench clearing incident. Hominy Does America area and I think that's a fair question. It is because I think I think the whole thing with Cassie Janos was was a bunch of nonsense, and they said the reason why they suspended him was because of health reasons not because of what he did and okay. I mean, if you want to play that card, that's that's okay. But you know, As I said, when the cost pianos, things popped up, somebody, unbeknownst to Rob Manfred is going to put that You know, in some promo and all of a sudden it's gonna wind up as let the boys play and that's what major league baseball was selling. Now I understand that the health thing and I agree with it, but still I thought it was a bit much, and I don't know if I don't. I don't know what's gonna become of Garrett. But, you know, I think, you know, maybe it's just a deep breath right there. And maybe a talking to to Garrett to say Look, Dude, you're struggling a little bit here. Maybe that's not what you ought to be doing to begin with. You know, I think maybe there's there's time for conversation. And there's time for a hammer to drop that. That's where I said right and wrestle was a class act. Not not surprisingly, the way he just simply walked away, But yes, it is. A suspension thing is crazy because I agree that costs Janos thing. Woz was Bs. Uh, MLB was trying to send a message. But the problem was sending a message is you need to be consistent. You don't want to penalize one person and that let everything else go. So frankly, I expect that they're going to give Garrett you know, maybe a game. Baby. Yeah, I think the red could probably afford the way he's pitching to have on their Garrett. Mr. Gamer to agree. Joey Votto. It is 300 career home run on Friday. Hall of Famer Chuck Klein is the only player in history to finish his career with that exact same number. "Basically, he's Hey, listen as a as an individual. I'm going to feel a certain way about things, but My opinion doesn't necessarily reflect reflect the diversity of thought of everyone that works for me at Walmart. Warren Buffett did the same thing. So I think that when you come across these He's more centered business leaders who are basically saying, Listen, I'm going to take a position because I have a right to a citizen, but that's okay. But I don't speak on behalf of every single person in the 50,000 person business, right right. That makes sense for an enterprise. For a small business owner, you know, even for a medium sized company. Really What people want to see is just that you kind of support them right? And so a lot of companies, the ones that do it right. And I was there the ones that make moves to support the democratic process. And do things to make sure that people know that it's okay to have certain feelings about political and social issues and that we respect that. But there has to be this level of mutual respect between different parties and chief right side of that argument. Um But we've seen that too on the consumer and the right, Adam like, for example, when I mentioned my pillow, But you could say Nike, right eyes. A lot of people said that said, I'm not buying your stuff anymore. I think Nike was probably more strategic and looking at the demos and going, okay. We know we're gonna upset this certain segment. Maybe maybe people have been Nike by Nike for the last 20 or 30 years may turn their back on us, but we want the younger share of the market. I think there's a lot of strategy and that as opposed to, you know, core belief systems if you want to call it that, um my pillow seemed to be something that just kind I came out of nowhere with this guy, and he just got more and more ramped up And I'm not saying either one is bad. I'm just saying you're gonna you're gonna turn a lot of people off. And, um, you know, for Nike. Initially, the numbers were down and then I think they're doing just fine. I'm not sure about my pillow, though. I have no idea what the what the sales volume is there. What you know, it's really interesting. So it was the 19 seventies. Mikey's getting attention for them using sweatshops and slave labor to manufacture products for cheap 19 eighties. We see the corporate socialist once ability movement, sort of. Direct attention towards how companies are doing things right, creating products and services and fulfilling them, you know, And, of course, as the 24 hour news cycle has become a thing you know, back when CNN used to report the news I think that was in the early nineties, Maybe by the time MTV still played music video. Exactly right. We're old man World. Welcome to old age. It sucks those air like this Fiona Apple days. I think early on like back when she was a thing, right? Um, yeah, I mean, things change right? And so, um, but it's really interesting those to see how these companies leverage, really, really high dollar marketing campaign to impact their bottom line. I mean, Nike right from having attention for the way they produce products and now endorsing Kaepernick, boosting the value by $27 billion of becoming more valuable than they've ever been ever, you know. On by the MBA, of course, doing business with China, ignoring human human rights, atrocities and genocide, But painting black lives matter in the court. Putting some budget behind some of the TV and Internet advertising that takes place and doing so just to drive to drive sales, you know, and And so the way this company's kind of utilized marketing campaigns. Frankly, it's the same way that a lot of political activist groups do that if they can create messaging and impact people and influence people to make certain decisions or Or think about things in certain ways. And it's all just the power of the dollar messaging and really good targeting. Yeah, and Adam. I don't think it is at all with the MBA. You mentioned Nike. I think it's just so target. I think that there's so many manufacturers because of the global economy. You know, it used to be okay. A pair of Nike, a parody disappear a pony, whatever. It might be miss unos and Converse, of course, and now there's eight billion shoe man if there's eight billion manufacturers of everything, and so now I think the markets have become in products and services. Had become so fractionalized right? Because there's so many competition in that space and whatever space it is, and whatever sector it is, whatever you're trying to sell this So many competitors out there worldwide that you almost have to take a stand in this regard, because, yeah, you look at the N b. A. And you know, the MBA audience, right is black Lives matter is a perfect fit for them. Of course, you're going to stand up for black lives matter. 19 Colin Kaepernick. Same thing. They want a younger, hipper urban demo young people by their shoes and watching the NBA. And they looked at that and said Okay, we're gonna foot we're gonna forget about the atrocities in China. We're going to focus on black lives matter That's knowing your audience, isn't it? In a lot of cases. Yeah, absolutely. It's knowing your audience and knowing how to get your audience to do what you want them to do. You know? How do I drive this group of people to consider their purchase decision? Are they gonna buy my shoes that they're not going to buy them? You know, and then and then obviously hit them at the right time with a great offer that you can't refuse at the end of the day, and most consumers are going to buy either a brand that they're aware of that they really like luxury item, something that is Look, I gotta have this training thing or they're going to buy your product because it's convenient. It's well priced. It's easy to get to and it just happened to be closer to you. That is the next competing item, you know. So irrespective of what Companies do come from a political or social issues perspective, you know, thinking about Goya Foods right back when back When the CEO of going I got barbecued for attending a White House event, Trump hosted I have the right. She started throwing all sorts of fire going as a brilliant and that kind of basically turned into times of millions of dollars and free PR. Impressed for the Goya brand and boot. The sales of the food products and the CEO of Goya actually jokingly said, You know what? We should make a O C employee of the month brands, right? You know that Z kind of funny how You know, sometimes bad news can be can be good for a company. And so whether it's good news or bad news. There are people that are going to kind of walk away from that with the neutralization oftentimes is about half of the people that are gonna just not really care that much you know, and people that the people that care a lot, though they're going to forget about it next week and go bare, you know, buy a pair of Nikes. Go to the Mavericks game here in Dallas. Just they just don't care. And they'll be though, man, It's just really disappointed. They're tough. They just got it is a rudderless ship here in Cincinnati, the birthplace of baseball, Of course, we we weren't under sleeve here. And, um I'll take the whole thing with Cassie Janos get the two game suspension for flexing is ridiculous because the MLB is about outlet..

"You know, people have another phone background people have it under, you know, screen savers and stuff like that. I mean, I think people rallied around it s Oh, yeah, I agree with you. I mean, I think it was an important moment just to say You know, this is the type of team we want to be a mere Garrett said it early on to, you know, we want to be the showboat back flipping team, and obviously they can't be doing that when they're losing and dear. It's been troubling pitching, too. But you know, that's kind of what they want to do. It shows much motion is possible because they kind of feed off it. And they think the city does, too. I talked about this team in manufacturing runs. I don't necessarily mean you know, drag bunts all the time and all the other stuff but really on over in and you can't always help when, you know. Those hits dropping when when they don't Sometimes it's just luck. But that aggressiveness that this team has shown is some growth that we had not seen over the last couple of years. Getting to this point If you're in the midst of losing, how do you keep that same attitude to play through it? I guess that maybe comes in with the seasoning of these older guys. Yeah, I think that's what that's what the older guys have mentioned. I mean, I think last year was a good experience for for a lot of guys. I mean, just game saying, you know, 60 games. You know, Cassie Janos, who's hanging around 200 towards is around 200. You know, stories might not be a good example because he's struggling right now. But look at a lot of these guys and they felt like last year wasn't a fair sample size. It wasn't a fair representative of what they could do in a real season. So I think, guys, we're finding comfort in that thing. You know, 60 games felt rushed to know Now we have 162 so well that there's no reason to panic this early on. Obviously, they, you know, no one wants to be on a six game losing streak. Especially the way they kind of lost these games where a lot of close games they've lost, But, um, you know, I think they look at it in terms of the long term the same. Well over five months. You know, guys will perform toe what there used to be doing. I think you hated us for it. Kind of fits in that category. Yeah, He's struggling. Yeah, He looks really bad at the plate. Borrow. It takes the hot two weeks and his numbers are back toe kind of where he wants him to be that first month or two. You're able to actually make a pretty strong correction. If you can turn the corner otherwise, then it just becomes a lot of really badness, which is maybe not the best baseball or like term to use. I don't know what else to say. In the midst of all of this, I'm kind of curious. What I'm not touching on. I mean, we saw some incredible defensive play in some in India's been sick at times, but then we've also seen some lapses. How is this team doing? And what are they are in the midst of the season? How do you work on that? Maybe shortcoming if there is such a thing. Yeah. I mean, I think it's just the team the way this built me. They're going to struggle defensively, but we knew that going into this season. I mean, when you put a U, then you're sore of that. You're starting shortstop position. He hasn't played in six years and You know the reason he hasn't played it in six years. Not because anyone else was a lot better than them at it. It was just you got moved to third base, you know, because he wasn't a star defender at shortstop. So you know you have to live with those shortcomings defensively. CAF piano? Jesse Linker in the corners there. They're not gonna be standout defenders. You know, you just hope for average plays host to make all the routine plays, which some days they have some days they haven't but just the way the team was built. I think that's going to be something they had to overcome. One. Defense is always going to be a weakness this year. Always good reading. You always good talking to you, Bobby. Nine year junior following the Reds for the Enquirer final question. I always like to ask this because of many questions as I have, and I just imagine me like listening, you know, in the backyard, or, you know, in the garage and we're maybe at the ballpark. Even what about this? What about that, But I know I don't ask everything And you You know you covered this so to tell me and us generally. What am I not Asking and what is going on that we should know about these rent? Well, I'm going to write it. I just think it's the most Haven't got enough covered yet, but Tyler Malli I mean, what you doing right now? I mean, it is overshadowed a little bit because Luis Castillo has been struggling and Sonny Gray, you know, just trying to get healthy but what he's doing. I mean, um kinda reminds me a little bit of what Trevor Bauer did last year that saying he's gonna be one of the young But just the fact that Trevor Bauer when he went into last year, if you remember when he first got traded over his first half season with the Red Plate was one terribly. I mean, he was like a five year old ray was picking through injuries just didn't look like himself. And he was the number three starter going into last year. You know, behind Grand Castillo, and then he went off and, you know, had a sigh Young season. Tell her mentally kind of doing that a little bit in terms of, you know, kind of way over exceeding expectations, doing his own thing. You know if Luis Castillo in sunny Greg it right. I mean, that's a three headed monster right there. And if Wade Miley stays where he's at The regular feel a lot better about their starting rotation. But I think Tyler Malli, what he's done at the start of the season deserves a lot of credit. Absolutely agree. One other thing here. What about those coming up in the farm system? What do we know about who's got next? I mean, it's an early season and obviously the minor league schedule starts a little bit later. But I mean, who are those guys that we're looking at The thing? Okay, well, this could be generation next for these reds or if in need, they would call up Yeah. I mean, I think the minor league season starts make forward so at least we'll start getting to see some results. And you know something guys will tell already they are justified dominate the competition. You look it like kind of green and Nikola go low. I think their way a little bit further off with the low, maybe at the end of the season. I think kind of greens, probably closer to the start of next season. In terms of what will be ready at the major league level. People started double a But if you're looking at reinforcements for this season, I mean Vladimir Good era. I got a signed out of Cuba. I think four or five years ago, it's really struggled in his early career results wise, but he's that looked fantastic over the last calendar year. Just came off a ped suspension today, actually, so he's a guy as a starter. If there's more reinforcement unit was starting rotation, I would be shocked if he was one of the first times called up. Um, there's a starter and there you go. All right, so there's a little taste of it like they do start later, you just a couple weeks away, so we'll get a chance to see it. But it's always nice to sort of get. Ah, look into that. And what's funny, You know, being in this part of the country is the Reds of some, you know, short drive road trip kind of thing, and go see the bats and Louisville or Lexington..

"Team. You all the San Francisco Giants are winning ball games, another pitching fueled win. Copes. Let's make it official behind Johnny Cueto's five and two thirds before removing himself from the game with Latin tightness. Stay tuned on that and then a bullpen effort of Caleb Arugula, Logan Web Tyler Rogers and Jake McGee. San Francisco Giants three, Cincinnati Reds zero, It's all good baby. So okay. I wasn't. I wasn't prepped with my my Giants victory so well, let me know when you got because I'll tell you that they finished a five and one home stand and improve to eight and four, the second best record in the National League West Coast. When we play the package, you could tag out with it. How's that sounds good. Here we go. 12. He swings and misses here. Strike three. Widow after the change up, got him with a fastball Make one sweet. She struck about with the high fastball, and that will end the inning to Slater lines. One right center failed. He's done it again. It's gonna split everybody on the movements property, picking it up with snake with his only play little to get it back into the infield. Crawford's scores in the Giants lead one Nothing. Here it is. We're gonna miss He got him with 93 is Cassie Janos, who's down swinging the Owen. Bond pops this one up shallow, right field. The 02 pitch fastball struck him out swinging 96 miles an hour. The game is over the Syriza's over. Home standards over and for the Giants. It was a very satisfying week here at Oracle Park and getting off to a good start This for having babies is this is hard to do, and I think it's really, really important that we, you know, ride out this momentum that we have to create some separation and No.

And by the way, use at John boy on draftkings. Aaron Boone banging the roof like we did You just slide the promo in there pretty good. Um, but he bastard Bauer needs an editor. However, there was a lot. There was some good nuggets in there where he took you inside the the history of Nick Castano's what he means apparently. As a Cincinnati red. He's a real fire and brimstone guy like he's a guy you want in your clubhouse, He revs hot. He's just a guy you want. However, he's not everybody's cup of tea, cause hell. He'll revolution hot for some people's liking, right? He's going to show up a pitcher is when he'll do so He read your down 7 to 1. It's a bomb on opening night and does a big three. Skip. Hop out of the box, sweetheart. Skip was pretty good Polish skips a nice up. Yeah, with our power spent about 10 minutes on the skip like you could have done that in about 30 seconds, OK? So the next day, Bolly. He gets a fastball in the ribs. Oh, okay. Because of the triple Skip there you go. Bauer took about 45 minutes to explain it. But he said it's powers opinion it was because of the triple Skip. Okay s So now he's on first base is pretty fired up. Hey, cuts around third base, and there's a wild pitch. Now. Yadi Molina is catching for the Cardinals and power spends about an hour and a half discussing yacht. He's place in society. On. How ya doing? Presence is intense on the field and okay, come on, rules the roost like everybody got. He walks on the field. Nobody cowers like you drop in a place in society as well. You know, it was a really good breakdown from Trevor, but but ya ta Molina's force on the field, right? Yeah, Yeah, yeah. Yeah, because antennas up Yeah, he analyzed How When? When? CASS. Ian has got drilled in the ribs. He stepped back yacht. He's he analyzes yacht. He's batty language to prove that it was intentional, he says. No way. Does Yadi look passive. Yeah, he comes out of the crouch kind of aggressive towards Castano's like they didn't. They didn't skirmish there. But Bauer took about 2.5 hours to explain the Yadi body language there so Okay, so he's on third base. Now there's a wild pitch off a yacht. He's glove actually going. A passed ball and so casting enemies comes charging home. He's a hard nose. Dude. Now it's always headfirst dive into the plate, the same picture that drilled him some nobody. Catches the ball and collides with Castillo is that the plate drives his knee into casting nemesis spine. Castiel Moses safe, Castano's jumps up and simply just stands up and Con. It does a little crab flex with the biceps like or like a peck florist standing over him. Yeah, it's really brief showing off his traps, like by the neck. Maybe. Yeah. Flashing trap. Something physical. He doesn't just check out my traps. I'm gonna post Yeah, I He doesn't He just kind of does the Probably does the Let's go. Whatever you know, you don't know. Well, Yadi immediately from that, Jack, where he had to retrieve the ball comes blazing up. Taking us right right bench is empty. Our talk about 4.5 hours, analyzing every his body language during the brawl to about their places in society, you know, anyway, bottom line, Power said at the end, this is great for baseball. They need the Nick Cassidy and then he had some great Castano's. That's a great quotes after the game, Okay, where he was like No, I didn't. You know, I'm just so he goes. I've been I've lost my entire career. I'm sick Illusion. He goes his. I want to win ball games. Okay, good. I like that. Even I was like that, right? I want to win ball games trying to score run from my country. Right? Right. You know, actually came away with admiration for casting Janos on this because because I'm just Just as one win ball games. That's all I can respect that. He's the same guy goes, He goes yacht. He's unbelievable. I mean, he does. That guy could punch me in the face, and it's still ask for a signed jersey. Nice. Good line. Good line. Yeah. So Bauer points out, he goes. Ultimately, this is great. This is what baseball needs a little emotion of a flare. A little color. Uh, you know, nobody was. Nobody's trying to hurt anybody or anything. No. They suspend casting on us for two games. Uh, Mom, Major women. For what? Exactly, though? For what? Great questions. I wonder what, like it doesn't sound for what it sounds like I was gonna say, basically for having demonstrated body language near a picture look like that's what it says here he force near a picture monster. This is here Monster to take two for his role. For his role. No punches were thrown. There was we've all got It was world playing a role. You know nobody. Probably you sent over the weekend. You sent us the Greg Nettles. George. Brett. Oh, you know, I mean, nettles. First of all metals throws the boot. Why don't you start right there? The sunny Corley on just kicked. He throws the boot right to the Brits Ribs while ribs after the slide. He's kind of getting up on his hands and knees. And then here comes the toe of the nettles. Damn right into Ah, Brits ribs, and then George Precious gets up throwing punches. That's it. He just stands up and starts throwing him in a playoff game. Yeah, well and then both talk about something. Nobody pretty nice little fight there, and then he helps restore order. I get back on the bag. Let's continue play, you know, but no injections. No nothing. So I guess this new guy's brand new discipline guy named Michael Hill. And he gift this one man that's really been unless he's related to Mark Hill. I don't like the ruling, so I just want to get that off my chest and I stand with Nick Cassidy on all right. Didn't we need this? We don't be a little short of behavior. I mean, boy, we need the emotion, Cassie. Honest part of some interesting moments over the last couple years. Don't forget he was the guy who was at the at the We'll have to plate when what's his name? Thom Brennaman got caught on the mike. Remember last year? You remember Brandon is giving him his farewell and this is the bit that's on Twitter. Guys. I don't know if you've seen this is because he's he's basically making his apology and saying, You know what I said was unacceptable. And Cassie Janos, it's a high drive to left field. And that was gonna be a home run and like it happens in the middle of his apology off the whole front unsettling. Yeah, Twitter is, people will put out a whole statement like I'm really upset about the All Star game being moved out of Atlanta. Don't think they should have done that has cast the honest It's a high drive to left. Yeah, Twitter is you throw Cassie. Honest brother left field into just some tape you're having, which is pretty funny. This is happening. My cast the honors. "Mr. Back at Great American Ballpark. The Reds lose to the Pirates today in Pittsburgh Final score 3 to 2. Both teams put runners on base in the first inning and one runner on base in the second, but failed to score. Cincinnati finally broke through in the top of the third. Joey Votto lead off against Chad Cool by drawing a walk. Next up was Nick Castellanos. And cool fed him a fat one. Cost, ya know, Socks one to straightaway center field. This is headed Todd. And it is gone over the Reds bullpen into the Pirates Pin two run shot for Nick, Cassie, Janos and the Reds are on top two to nothing. The Pirates got one of the runs back in their half of the third. TJ and tone struck out the first two batters of the inning. But then Adam Frazier singled and Brian Reynolds singled him home so it was to tow. One Chad Cool was finished after three for Pittsburgh. Cincinnati couldn't do anything off. Jeff Hartley in the fourth of the fifth. Sam Howard shut them down in the six. Chris Stratton pitched a scoreless seventh. Meanwhile, TJ Antone ended up throwing five pretty good innings today for the Reds. He his pitching line five innings, pitched five hits a run to walk, six strikeouts. Amir Garrett pitched a perfect six and still have not given up. Their still has only given up five hits all season and hasn't allowed a run since August. 11th Nate Jones pitched a 1237 for Cincinnati, Michael Lorenzen. Gave up a leadoff single in the eighth. Then after a force out walk Brian Reynolds. That was the end of the day for Lorenzen Wright cell. Iglesias replaced him and he blew one past Colin Moran. Shadow creeping out toward the mound now, so.

"I'm asking the fans out there. What's a manager to do when your entire team is slumping at the point? So let's go out to the phones. Eddie is in green Township. Eddie, Speak to me, my brother here. I got some answers for you. I got some solutions on how it seems in your things around. Well, the regs actually do it. Listen, probably not without a card. You need you need. You cannot fire the founder, which is what they probably should think about doing here because they're going to do that. Here's what you could do it, you know, short. Pollution. Change things up a little bit, but I didn't hear that. I did not hear that. I'm sorry, I said, Bring up Tyler Stevenson plugging in the line of everyday whether the aging or touching bring up Aquino program in a line up, put it in the out food or th every day. Try something new. You put anything. I mean, try something. What? I've heard. There are tacos Squad, Ross. For reasons the only 60 games with you. You will have my phone. You Turn around. The team can't win three games there for him in a running just can't they wouldn't want game. Then you lose two or three. Like right? Yeah. What? What's it going to hurt to bring Aristide's Aquino up Yet with his September last year, this team flat out lost total faith in him. Lost total faith. They signed two outfielders. Takayama and Cassie Janos, and they have no faith whatsoever. No matter what I read. Hey, I see better than I hear. And like you said, the team seems take one small step forward and take like two or 37 backwards getting out of here. I don't think you should go back to 500 have been like Well, you know what's scary is AH losing record could be number two in the NL Central. That's what's crazy. Five teams in all of the National League with winning records. It's unbelievable. And this often feels like last year's offense, you know, results cider, Last year's office. We got Queen. We can be really good this year. No This year. We got all these 106 $16. You're 16 teams back in the postseason that the Reds are the teams and the team that has some serious problems in the off season because you're going to potentially lose Trevor Bauer. Of the top down and the team has to win now the season. That's right. That's right. Good stuff, man. Appreciate it. Thank you, Greg. How we doing tonight? Great. Hey, check, sir. I agree with everything you guys said once that back forward, you know, I want to take the two for one step back. Not the other way around. You're absolutely right now on the call screen here it says Greg Gonna sell bullpen is looking better. You better believe it is. And how about TJ Antone? Oh, my God, that bullpen look better last year games, but they had no offense, the back, you know, that's exactly right. You know, I can't put anything together. They just can't. It just seems like that no matter what they do. That they're either they have the pitching are they have no offense are they have the pitching and they and their and their score nine runs. You'll have I mention this during sports talk tonight and the inside pitch. The Big three. That they have Sonny Gray, Trevor Bauer and Luis Castillo. Awesome pictures what the team's record is when they start this year. 87. They've gotta be they have through. Those three guys have to be leading the league in strikeouts through. That's right. That's right. They're awesome and an 87 record When they start games this year for the Cincinnati Reds, and great I gotta run appreciate the coal man. All right. I'll see you soon. All right. All right. Appreciate it. Jim is on a cell high, Jim. Hey, what's going on? No impressed for time. So baseball's a three Ah, free level saying, you know, Imagine, like a scale haven't like three platters on it. It's the first platters balancing have pitching. If they're good, starting pitching, you have to have a closer and then you have to have good offense that gives you Timely heading when people in scoring position and in the last part of the three part balance is ah. Piece of defense, you know? Well, what do you say closer. I'm just going to put bullpen in there because bullpen is critical. If you're middle relief is average and they could just get you to a closer and you have a good starter. But I mean There's a reason they play 60 games is you go toe to toe with competition, and I hate to tell them the Reds fans out there. I'm a Reds fan. The reality is this team that's not good enough. They're just they balance out. You know, they don't have that three tier balance of picking. Offense and they're just out of balance. Jim, you're right there just out of balance. They can't put it all together, and that's one night. Great pitching. And they can't hit. They appear so the world period assed teams, you know, but the teams to go to the playoffs like every year. They know howto win because they know how to balance those belief, tears. All right. I appreciate the call. Thank you very much. I'm whacked out of balance here tonight. Ah, Mike Gonna sell Might be a good man. Good. You know, I see two things one..

"But he got a lot of backlash for it. So that already puts him on the pedestal. But then During the game he decides to he apologizes as he should and right in the middle of it, Nick Cassie Janos hits a home run to left field and midway through the apology, not sounding that sincere. In my opinion, he decides to get back into the play by play and let him know. Let everyone know that Nicasio has hit a home run and then go right back into his apology, saying, I don't think I'm ever gonna be able to put this headset on again. Doesn't know if he's ever going to do it and That's that wins him Torches. Dumb answer. The week is just the moment. He's doing his job, but it just to me was a moment that didn't need to happen. We could have lived without knowing Castano's went deep to left in the middle of your apology for a slur like that. Well, that brings up a topic torch, okay? And and and Sean, you're gonna have to talk about this because you are The guru of play by play or color commentary for the show. But the one thing is, I think it's one of those and we can get into the unwritten rules. And and that's another subject made for another show. Because the unwritten rules this week about don't swing out of three and hope it which I don't get that I don't know if that would take us. We don't have enough time and And so I don't wantto put everybody on hold or anything, buddy, but you don't like he said, like the unwritten rules, and I think any time you're issuing an apology, if he's going to do an apology, he should have done it when he wasn't going to get interrupted by the play by play, But he also said that isn't there some sort of Rule that they can tell any story as a follow play by they get the pitch, and there's there's a show on IFC called Brockmeyer. It's kind of a spoof on this that of how they talk, but in it, Hanka Zahra, a guy on The Simpsons and I has said he noticed over the years whether it's Vin Scully or all these other guys that you can say pretty much anything you want as long as somewhere in the middle of it. You work in the count, so you could be talking about anything in the world you want as long as the middle of you go, and that's Ah 32 pitch to Cabrera and No town is full. And it is true because in that moment that was that he's apologizing, saying how sorry he is for what he said. And in the Middle East, and I am so apologetic for what deep ball to left field that Nick Castano's for the homeland. It's like Why I get it's a home run. I get it to play. But you're doing something much bigger than that at this moment. And you just kind of showed that you weren't really all in on it. In my opinion. Is that our whole shows, though, Eric? No, you? No. You know what I look at? I think number one. You have to do your job. I really do. I firmly believe that But you know what this is to be and turn you feel for yelling me if you want. Honest to goodness, I think this is also a generational thing. Now hear me out before you I'm your generation bro's Why am I going, Teo? I'm cannot use that. You cannot use that word ever. You can't use it. You should not use it. But Eric, your generation grew up smarter than my generation. We We didn't know that we use that word left and right. I'm telling you point blank we did. It didn't mean what it means. But with that was almost like that was slang to us. That's a word that we used constantly. And as times have evolved, rightfully so Your generation has been able to knock that word right out of the vocabulary..

Major League baseball columnist. MLB stares into the abyss challenges of playing through pandemic maybe come insurmountable. So word broke yesterday that Rob Manfred. Major League Baseball commissioner spoke with Major League Baseball Players Association said. If you can't get this under control This season could get shut down. So There's just so much uncertainty, folks. We'll just see how it all plays out. It's it's crazy. So Red's lose last night 7 to 2. And Which means they lost five out of six games since her opening day win a week ago Friday night. And three of the four losses have come against the Detroit Tigers. A team that lost 114 games last year in Bell admitted to Tommy Thrall, Reds broadcaster The team in the players or pressing Hand. That's what happens. That could this team have just taken some things for granted? Thinking that you're going to be a playoff bound. Maybe a World Series contender. I just took it all for granted. And you wake up a week into the season and you're two and five in your Scotland. You're stagger and you're not swaggering. And that's Ah, It's a problem right now for this team. So Cassie Janos looks like he's going from the number five. Hold two number three slot. Knock down a U hanya swore is out of that three spot down to five. Because that is the prime spot for batting and runs And when Hey, you Hani! Oh, is batting Under 100 on the season like 0.80 and that is not a good thing that is the prime It's a run producer, and it's not happening right now. Two in five and it really is unacceptable, totally unacceptable out of this franchise. You cast the honors, talked about it after the game last night that They definitely want to win. Maybe. "Yeah, that would probably make more sense. Cause If Mitch is the Mitch we saw last year. Your season's over if you don't have Nick Foles if you were chased Daniel in Tyler, but it's over. No quarterback is more important than When Cassie Janos can give to line up. Yeah. And plus you have. The offense has been good to this point. So Correct. They're not losing because of their offense. Yeah, I'm going to say Nick Foles 100% 100% Appreciate your call 312332 3776 Felix is in the humble parquet Felix, What's up, man? It was going on cat. How you doing? I'm doing good. Listen, this whole bullpen team. Is there anything that you got? You said you have I got connections up there in the north side. Would you know, front office or whatever it is, you know, is there any way that we get some kind of help? Some kind of trace some kind of something that still might pull off and say, Look, Our office is clicking these guys coming together at the right time. Now, can we get some help in the bullpen and this is us. This is this horrible man. It's hard to watch. Manage. Once you get down, four to nothing is like heavy going game's over or there's no hope in this open holding a lead whatsoever. Yeah, the bullpens. Terrible. Not can they make a trade? They can. I don't know what you're willing to give up to get a high leverage reliever and I don't know who's trading you. Oh, hi Leverage reliever that you would trust at this point in the season. Because, you know, I don't want to give up any we've given up already. Prostate. I mean, I'm I'm done with that, You know, but so where you getting an arm? Man. I mean the office cliquey. I mean, this is what we got to take the opportunity. Now, if they look, guys, they're coming together like Harvey's here the other day about result, you know, and Chris Brian's going to come out of it sooner or later. We know that Way. I mean, we can't let this If we get to a good start or are often I will thank you something you know, giving up six runs a game. Whatever it is. It's just a ways off. I don't know Just a waste of good office going away because our bullpen can hold the lead or we don't have anybody that's frozen. Yeah, I don't disagree with you What I would probably do. Is bring up a couple of arms from my South Bend camp. And then see where we go from there. People thing about that is that we don't have time to see who is the one who's gonna stop the bleeding when we only got 60 games. I don't disagree. That's all you could do. That's it. Wow. Hey, man, Have a great day. Okay? You say they can appreciate you 3123323776 Hawks played hockey last night. Hockey. They were on the ice plane on a game didn't count. "With second baseman Mike Moose Takis the Moose was loose. He's back in the five hole tonight, and he went three for four with four R B Isa Run, scored just a tremendous opening day in his first game as a red run scoring single in the first inning, another run scoring single in the third when he knocked in Castano's who doubled And then he crushes that to run home run on a three and one pitch off David McKay over the wall in right center field for a two run home run, and that gave the Reds that A dagger at 7 to 1 in the seventh inning and did a fantastic job defensively. Also, he not only turned a double play, but many stuffed Cameron Maybin's hard ground or near the bag, a second. And then throws him out to Joey Votto at first base That came in the fifth inning. And it was great to see Joey Votto get off to a good story Sharp single when the first He eventually scored and he lined out in the second inning. Double play line out two first, and then he goes your Joey Votto did in the fifth inning so shot to write on a two and a pitch from Matthew Boyd. And that stretch the Reds lead to 4 to 1. And then gosh, Nicosia knows he makes his presence felt big time getting on base three times hit by pitch with the bases loaded for already I in the first inning Double the left center. Gap in the third inning, eventually scoring on Moose Takasu single and then a walk in the seventh and like I mentioned Travis Jankowski comes in inserted is a pinch runner forecast. Giuliano's And then she Jankowski promptly steal second base easily and the scores on Muscat Miss Takis is to run home run and you head you just feel great. For show Go, Akiyama! Entering the game, is a pinch runner for Philip Urban with two on and two out in the sixth inning. And the show. He sent a one and two pitch up the middle for a single, his first major league hit. And his first major league R B, I scoring Freddy Galvis for a 5 to 1 Reds lead, and it sure sounded like show goes. Teammates celebrated him. With a shaving cream pie in the face after the game. How cool is that? And yet Matthew Boyd, distorted for the Tigers had trouble right At the very beginning. The Reds touched him up for two runs in the first. Ah, walk by urban single by Votto hit by pitch, Suarez. Then it hit by pitch again. Castano's forcing in the first run and then move stocks a single Given the Reds tattooed enough and lead. It could have been a lot more. But Matt Davidson popped out. Nick sends. L grounded into a force play, and then Freddy Galvis grounded out to end that first inning. And then the Reds pushed their lead to three to nothing in the third. When Cassie Janos doubled and then scored on Moose, Takis is single. And C J. Crones to out home run made it 3 to 1. That was the only runs scored by the Detroit Tiger. Seven runs nine hits. No, Where's six left for the one. I know Red's one run three hits? No. Where's three left on base for the O in one Tigers. Both teams go at it again tomorrow. 5 11th pitch. And it's Luis Castillo on the mound for the Reds 15 and eight. Last year with a three point for O e. R a against Yvonne Nova, 11 and 12. Last season with a 4.72 e R A while tonight has been a ton of fun appreciate. A broadcast share of big Dave Keaton, tonight's producer. "And I think I think everything will be fine. If that happens. Let me ask you about this, Joe. I'm seeing a lot of Ah College of Day. The big college conferences are talking about playing a conference on Ly schedule this season. Does that on the face of it That doesn't make sense to me. How is it? How is it better? Playing just a conference on Ly schedule and and leaving the nonconference opponents out of the schedule. It's about giving themselves a margin of error because you're pushing the season now back until late September, so that gives them more time to prepare. Because you're talking about right now. You just look at ally of state there is there is a team that had to shut down. It's voluntary off season stuff in the last week because of Corona virus positive test that spooked into the point where they couldn't keep going in there. Two or three players sent test positive. I have not seen what sport how many players for what particular sport of all right, But the point is now you're giving yourself margin of air more time. Time to make a judgement and also time again, which I talked about with baseball, where there might be a point in the season where there's a game that you can't play because team had an outbreak or your opponent had a not break and again, it gives you the margin of error and allows you to Perhaps around a champion in whatever way that conference once the crown is champion by winning percentage by total wind by US number of losses, whatever they want to do, and therefore you can send your champion. I don't think you're gonna see any bowl games this year, Dan outside of playoff games. I don't see what the point of having a bowl game this year would be sending people down to resort where they have to go for three or four days and hang out in quarantine and then play a football game. That's basically an exhibition. So I think you might see Possibility of conferences having the decision to when they get to this point of deciding their own conference champion. Whatever way it is, because I don't think we're going to see teams play the full conference schedule. I don't think everything is going to play the same number of games and I think that's okay. I think we have to be able to adjust to the fact Tackle out of state maybe play nine games. Maybe Michigan play seven games or whatever conference you wanna pick from the major conferences and still you, Khun Decide who your champion is. And if there is a playoff send that champion of the playoffs. It is about Dan. It's about adjusting to the margin of error, given yourself more time and also understanding that I think a bit of a trust factor between the schools. There's a bit of a factor of knowing each other and understanding how that school operates. And you can kind of work travelling together. That kind of thing. I think that plays a big part of it to being a conference co competitors. Where does Joe Donovan stand on the issue of crowd noise being pumped into the stadium? I don't like it. Common different. I really am. I think it worked some things. I'm serious eye watching Premier League and they did it. I thought it felt fine. It felt normal. And then I watched some of these MLS games and I think it felt fine without it. I'll tell you this sitting today at Great American ballpark, and someone hit a home run and the running around the bases, and they played a song over the loud speaker. But there's no cheering and it feels weird. It really does feel different. You hear the players talking Tucker Barnhart was in the stands with the megaphone and the megaphone had noisemakers and he would make that is fantastic. As Francisco Panya was rounding the bases and players are excited. So yeah, that added a little bit of you now, see, why can't that I can't that just be part of the learning curve that we all learn together. Or maybe know that when you play in a quiet stadium Yeah, that's part of the experience. Now, as you know, when guys hit homeruns, maybe Tucker Barnhart's going to be inside the red dugout with a megaphone, making noise. That kind of fun. If we didn't get a road game, he might get one of these back the next time he's up associate playing the Pirates. I didn't say that, but I did. And, Yeah, that could be part of the experience for the fans to watch, But I'm indifferent Forest band noise goes. That really doesn't bother me. All right, let me ask you about this. Um and I just lost my train of thought there for a second. The High school sports. Yeah. What? What? What do you see it on the horizon for high school sports. We love this is an area that loves high school football. Will we see any high school football this season? This is the $1,000,000 question and this is also the question that I have the hardest time wrapping my mind around because You typically see high school sports, taking their cue from the sports that are a level above them, and we've seen now college football cut down. And if college football can play a full season, how do they expect high school to play a full season? Um, I don't know. Plus, it's also the fact that these are high school kids and 95% of the kids that hit the field aren't gonna play. This sport past the high school level. So why put them in danger of going out and contracting the virus by playing a tackle sport or they're going to be contact on every single play, so I don't know the answer. Damn! My gut feeling is we're going to see something. And Kentucky's commissioner came out this week and he said he said he called his shot. We're gonna play this fall. That was his word. That was his sentence. Those four words we will play. This fall and You know, I admire the idea He's calling his shot, He said. He doesn't know what it's gonna look like. I don't think anybody can know what it's going to look like. I think we're going to see some sport come back and play a full season like golf, golf. Go player, sport. Go do it, But football was the one we're all wondering about. I don't know that we've been talking about it for months. Would we get to a football? I just don't know what our school what a Friday night's going to be without without the high school football highlights is going. You're gonna be around here. I can tell you that because it was the night we look forward to most doing local TV not to have high school football on a Friday night in the Cincinnati area would be wild. They would they would be there would be no the great unknown. I never When I was working in Channel 19 there's some of the most fun nights that that I had. There was on Friday nights and going out and covering all the football games and then coming back and getting all the highlights put together. Whether it was good was great stuff here. Here's the question. I wanted to ask you before I use the term earlier when you cover when you cover sports, and you're around a team and you have access to the guys or the women. What Whatever the case may be You sort of gain this peripheral vision and when and by that? I mean, you see things you hear things that aren't really necessary Part of your reporting, But they sort of fill in a missing gap for you when when you hear a statement made by the coach or a player and knew the sort of creates at nuance that you can put into a report, okay? So my my thinking is is that I don't know what the access is like. It's not the same that you had before. So what sort of challenges that create for you as someone who covers sports When you sort of lose that, that extra sense it usedto have because of the access that you had previously that you don't have this time around. Yes, Big challenge because Part of what we do is observing and understanding personalities and observing those personality. So when something happens, you can kind of put it into context of that person's personality. What it meant to that person what it means to that person how they're going to react to that kind of thing. We don't get that now. Also. Part of relationships. You know you build relationships with guys and you can have more candid conversations when you know somebody. So you take someone like Nicholas, Cassie, Janos or Mike Mushtaq has two guys who are going to be He contributed for the red team. And, you know, I haven't had a conversation with them outside of a zoom call with 20 other people had the same Is it not the same? Not now, and you can't fill in those gaps in.

"Announcing that Sonny Gray will be the opening day starter and then announced the rest of the rotation. Luis Castillo will go second. Trevor Power third, then Wade Miley and Anthony DeSclafani. Anything about that surprise. You really know not one single bit. You No, not at all. I think there are a lot of people feel like they thought that because he started last year that Luis Castillo would get the nod, But I really like the idea of having a veteran guy at the top of the rotation, especially with the expectations that are on this team need to get off to a fast start. And by no means am I saying that I don't think Luis Castillo would be capable of it. But But when you are a team that is expected to go deep, ah, and is expected to make a run, I always think that if you can have the most experience top of your rotation, the better off you are I I agree with you. You know, I generally in the past if all things were equal, have felt like I always lean towards giving it to, you know. Ah Quote unquote organization guy who's been with you from the beginning, but not a single one of those guys would fit that bill. So if you just went last year On who had a better year. They both had really good years. But Sonny Gray had a better year, and he earned the right to be the opening day starter. Good for him. The questioning thing is the only interesting thing is that they not add up to elope may mean absolutely nothing. Somebody will bring it up sooner or later is that you're starting against an American League team. And you are having two pitchers pitch against those teams. Yes, faces change since they both love. But you have to guys that primarily spent their entire careers almost exclusively their entire careers in the American League, and so, you know, pretty safe to say. That most of those guys have seen a lot more of Trevor Bauer and Sonny Gray. Then they have Luis Castillo. I'm not sure if he was ever pitch against tigers. He probably has, but it just seems like forever. Since the Reds played the American League Central Do you think that works to the pitcher's advantage? Well, I don't know. I don't know. I mean, the bottom line is Cassie Janos. You heard Kyle farmers saying a minute ago. Trevor Bauer has faced Nick cost Ya knows more than any other player in his career. And it makes perfect sense. Why would there both in the same division of the American League where you play 18 19 times a year, and then they both played in the National League Central once both came over last year, so You know, I don't know who's the advantage to? It Probably just goes by the numbers. I mean, you know, some guys own guys in some former passion. And I mean, you know, Kassie Auto shows today perfect example. Tower got him out if I if I you know, understood the way that the the interest quads from it worked a little bit yesterday for the final out that he wanted to face him. One more pitch in the next pitch Casciato 619 miles in the sea. No note. It will be very interesting to keep an eye on that. Certainly something worth watching on. And Sonny Gray talked about it today spoke with the media about being ready to accept the challenge and these rather unique circumstances but feels like he's ready to go. You look back on this in 20 or 30 years, you're going to say Man. You remember everyone's gonna remember 2020 is gonna be one of those places that you're just going to remember so I think Teo to start opening day in the season like this in 2020 is going to be something that will be remembered for a long time. And I'm I'm very excited about it. It's it's a It's a challenge. I haven't thought about the moment itself, but it's a challenge. But it's an exciting challenge that That I think I'm ready for it. To be honest, Actually, I know I'm ready for And he went on to talk about the fact that you know everybody in that rotation pretty much prepared to be ready to go in case they were the guy that was called, and part of that just continues to feel fuel. What is a very healthy internal competition. Where extremely competitive within our staff. I mean, uh, And this is this isn't a thing that saying, like, Oh, this guy's better than this guy's better than this guy, because I think in order for us to be the best that that we're going to be as a team and us is a staff to be the best were gonna be like we were talking about Yes. What? Spring training. One point. Oh, whatever. You wanna call it, But this is to point out we were talking about how we're all in this thing together like this is something that That we're tackling head on as a group and as a unit. Pretty much in line with what Kyle Farmer was talking to about that internal competition that that that gets you excited it does. You know, a lot of people will will hearken back that are old enough to remember, And that's most of the people that are watching baseball these days. You know, Compay regularly reading when, when? When Glavine and Maddox and small tin by no means Am I comparing this after that staff Because it was a three hall of fame, guys. Okay, Maybe all three of these guys got a hall of Fame One day, Maybe not. But those guys used to talk all the time, even when she got down to the four short and that was a rotating spot for many, many years for the Atlanta Braves. RIA Kent Mercker was in that mix. Jason Schmidt was in that Mitch Marquis was in that there are a bunch of different guys to fill that fourth and fifth Starting rotation spots for the brave where they talked about that competition Band where, you know the one day you know Glavin goes out those seven inning three hits, one run, Maddox comes back. The next day wants to be even better Smoke comes back next day. He's like I got to be better. And that's what you want..

Sonny Gray Luis Castillo American League Trevor Bauer Kyle Farmer Trevor Power National League Central Maddox Kent Mercker Atlanta Braves American League Central tigers Wade Miley Cassie Janos baseball Kassie Auto Reds Casciato Anthony DeSclafani Jason Schmidt
