"Then I would argue that having been tested every single round could actually help his case right now. Why will because if he had tested in every single other around round negative negative negative negative negative negative negative all the sudden positive pops up? That would stick out as the anomaly. That would naturally make you think that. Hey why would somebody who's been negative. Every single round of the season suddenly choose to do something now when he knows he's GonNa get tested right. It would make you think that maybe there's a really good chance that something did happen by accident here. I mean because really if you know you're going to get tested and then you test positive the only two options Shinzo there are. It was either a mistake. or You'd have to be an absolute idiot to try and get away with something when you know. The test is coming so in that respect if it was an accident if then it would have helped you known. As case had they changed the rules a long time ago to make it this way but because they don't then yeah we may have previous tests in the past that showed that he wasn't juicing that everything was negative but nothing recent you know we don't know maybe he was taking one time. Maybe you said all season long and he just never got tested that ninety four percent chance comes back in there where he thinks you know. I got really really really good chance of getting away with this and I really need to up my game so I'm going to try and up my game. I don't know so. I really honestly think that testing every rider every round would be the ideal situation but at the very least. You've gotTA tests riders some riders every round. Whether it's three whether it's six it's gotta be more then. Just you know a five point. Seven percent chance of getting caught. If you're juicing one hundred percent of the time I mean that's crazy all right so with with Andrea now. I'm sure we'll find out more in the coming days and weeks. What's going to happen next with them? Let's talk about some other riders and rumors instead starting with or. Hey Lorenzo Enzo Oh and by the way if you WanNa comment on the you know nice stuff for the big comments show coming up next facebook dot com slash motorway dot net or read. It are slash mode week. All right so let's move underhill Lorenzo. Because he didn't interview with Modo San a little over a week ago where he confirmed that a test rider gig with Yamaha is quote one of his options options that he currently has on the table. Now he didn't say what other options he may be considering. But I would imagine that it's only a matter of time before before a deal is announced because I imagine that a Yamaha Test Roger Deal is probably the best thing that's come down the pike for him so far now who went on to say that one of the main reasons that he retired was to have more time to devote to other endeavors and being able to continue to have that time now to these out of motor. GP was one of his main concerns. I'm not quite it. Sure if he was suggesting more a Casey stoner style schedule because Casey was legendary for wanting to test specifically when he wanted to test not not necessarily when the manufacturer wanted him the test and I kind of added to some of the friction especially between him and do county near the end there with the whole poster boy comments that was one of the components. Opponents is that Casey really wanted to kind of keep his own schedule and I imagine Yamaha would want something a bit. More focused a bit more organized than that but believe it or not. I think Lorenzo probably would like that same thing too. I don't think that he really wants to go into a test role and not make progress me and especially if it means that he could take that Yamaha and make it more competitive behind the scenes because it's strange as it sounds. I think he would consider it the same as a win if he gets on. The bike starts developing it. And then all the sudden Valentino Rossi sticks around and gets better and better and better and eventually gets back on the top step of the podium but only because of the input that Lorenzo had because let's face it where Lorenzo in Valentine Ross. You're never gonNA race each other again and Lorenzo a lot of people a lot of people out. There pointed Lorenzo as one of the keys to Rossi's later success and then they point to the effect that he had on do Khadi after that. It's more evidence of it while trust me. If Lorenzo comes back the Yamaha and the bike suddenly gets better after his presence is felt then. I think that he's going to let everybody know how much much of a role he had the play and it actually would be a bigger win for him if his direct input was the key to getting Rossi back on top. You know speaking speaking of the doctor. Let's move onto him now. Because cycle world did an interview with Valentine Rossy where he was asked about Lorenzo as a test rider and he said he thought it would be a great idea because well it would be and I don't know how he would react if he started winning again and Lawrence tried to take credit for it they would probably be a little bit of friction there but in the end I think that he would be more accepting of Hillary's contributions when it comes without the chance that beat him on track with those contributions because I think he could then turn around and say well you can't prove that it was just him because I went out there and rode the bike so Valentine Rossi's no dummy especially in his old age and so he knows that if peaking get somewhere if he can use toll to be able to get himself back to where he wants to be. It's worth that. Especially if he can then explain it away because he's a master uh-huh positioning things in just the rally framing things in just the right lane to make himself look the best. But of course in that interview cycle world it was inevitable that the retirement question in came up and it ended up being kind of the bulk of the discussion for the most part Rossi pretty much told the party lines stuff. We've heard out of before that he still has the same level of motivation now that he did years ago that he'll keep going as long as he feels. He can be competitive and that he's expecting to make a firm decision on twenty twenty one by sometime mid season although he's already already kind of feeling the pressure because everybody gets stuff done so early when it comes to silly season Although I did find it interesting things interesting. In his answers I and one of them was a big deal. The other one not so much the the smaller thing is I did find it kind of interesting that he said his family was all in agreement that he should keep on racing and that he had to remind them that everybody has to be realistic about his chances of being competitive against the field of continuing to perform at the highest level. Now I would think that they're only saying that because valley brings in the big bucks but I mean let's face it money isn't going to be a problem for anybody in the Rossi clan. So I guess that means they really truly one to keep racing so but the interesting part the real interesting part the quasi suggestion that he be okay riding leading Peronist by cycle world. Kinda bent this a little bit in some other sites. Did I think they more out of these comments than what Rossi actually meant. Because he didn't really say. Hey Ah I would like to ride a bike. That would be fine by me. If it extends my career. No Problem No. He didn't really say that at all. The context was actually a discussion. Shen about maverick. PENOLA is not about Rossi himself. But Valentino being Valentino was pretty much suggesting that Fabio quarrel is going to be a a big part of Yamaha's future and him riding a monster Yamaha to valet was more important than maverick Daniela's routing amounts to Yamaha so Rossi was saying. Hey if I choose to stick around. I don't see why maverick should be upset with being banished determinist because hey after all that bike is is just as capable of being competitive as the one. I'm writing right now. So the discussion really started with Valentino. Saying I'm going to do what I WANNA do. Fabio kwacha Ro is the second most important thing to me. So if I make the decision to demote Malvo he should be okay with that kind of feeling he was going for there. But then when the interviewer very wisely turned back around on the doctor and said Oh well if the Petropolis bike is that good would you be okay going to that one. He said Well it wouldn't be so bad but then he qualified that by saying but you never know maybe five. You'll go somewhere else. Maybe Maverick goes somewhere else. Probably won't have to deal with that one way or the other now. I think that what he meant in that entire conversation is that it wouldn't be a bad thing to demote maverick violas. I don't think he was really referring to himself at all in that line of questioning but he kind of opened the door for it to I mean he really stuck his foot in his mouth by saying it was so good eh shouldn't matter so he kind of had the begrudgingly. Say Well you know. It's it's a good enough bike and wouldn't be so bad to have to go there. I don't know that he would really do that though. Because because on one hand the series is so competitive right now. There's so many factory backed current your bikes on the grid that there is going to come a time when a top Tier Ryder. Maybe even a former champ will take a satellite ride willingly most likely so they can get on a more desirable bike and heck that's evidenced by the fact that we're Lorenzo was seriously considering arrive with patroness or arrive with to Kati because those bikes are so close now and when the team already signed at the factory level. It's like you said it's it's not so bad like valley said it's not so bad necessarily so that would be the plus that would be the thing the reason I would think that more champions now in the future we consider it down the road but on the other hand it is still a satellite team. And this is Valentino Rossi. We're talking about here. I Amine Ego definitely factors. In fact only one rider ever has written the satellite bike after winning a Premier Class Championship Championship in the motor. GP Aaron that rider. Of course nicky. Hayden a guy who you know is one of the most humble guys in the entire garage. So it's a completely different story aury from someone like Valentine Rossi or Marc Marquez or even where Lorenzo for that matter I mean yeah who are considered Petronas. Yes he consider pre-match but did he actually do it no. He retired before he had to go down to one of those teams. So I'm not quite sure that Valet would want to be the one to set that precedent on a longer term basis of being a champ that steps back to a satellite team. But I don't think I think that a satellite team would actually be the worst thing really. I mean in a twenty twenty one scenario that would allow him to stay in the sport which is really important in terms of Dan interest. I am marketing and merchandising. Those are big things for both Yamaha am for door. Not In the pressure would be off. I mean if he finishes on the podium great but if not well he's on a satellite. I'd like it's not the end of the world and he wouldn't be holding up a seed from another young rider. Like Fabio quarrel and it would ensure that stays with Yamaha. Offi knows that he's going to move up but that being said I don't know if Petronas would be the right place for him to ride a satellite bike because like I said a second ago what is Valentine Rossi. You've got the ego the worry about here I think the only way the Valentino Rossi could move to a satellite bike emoto GP and still kind of satisfy his ego would still make sense is if that satellite bike was with his own team. I mean that would make sense to fans and it would feel feel justified in the sense that hey I'm stepping down. I'm offering my own services to launch this. Vr forty-six team make sure that they start on good footing with good results. It's and the best development right now. Of course the way the Petronas immediately establish themselves in this series and specifically with Yamaha. I think that could actually delay.

"Is head to their facebook page facebook dot com slash. The volume remote can also get details. They're on the ep which is out right now on itunes and spotify all right so in the first half of the show we talked talk about your comments. We talked about some motor g._p. News and now it's time to talk about outracing this weekend around twelve of the world championship the british g._p. And silverstone first. Let's discuss the track. This place is big. It's fast and it's fun a lot of throttle time not a ton of heartbreaking jones and if the famous british weather cooperates we should get to a actually see a race and be watched the riders take full advantage of what silverstone silverstone has to offer now obviously last year was a debacle and it's not going to happen again. <hes> we've got an entirely new surface not only should the drainage no longer be an issue but grip level should be high especially once the track. It's rub it in. It's not going to be that hot this weekend at least not by my standards but i live in a desert where he gets one hundred fifteen on a regular basis. So what do i know <hes> but the great thing about silverstone is that it's not just a fast track. Yes there are pair of straits that let the do coty in the honda stretch stretch their legs <hes> but the rest of the track does toss in a good mix of low medium and high speed corners that are going to allow this zukis yamahas of the world to keep up and we'll talk about in the minute. Yamaha actually does quite well here. Even recently when they've been giving up so much speed to the dakotas and the hondas <hes> now there for many familiar names given to the many turns of the nearly six kilometer circuit but few of those are more famous than the maggots beckett's chapel combo a set of ss that gradually gets tighter from start to finish and clearly part of the inspiration for the ss at circuit of the americas whether they want to admit it or not <hes> but the most important the trio is chapel in my opinion <hes> because the right line through chapel means good drive out of the corner onto the biggest straight of the track and in those big speeds at the end of that stretch could play a bigger role in the race as you try and catch some slipstreaming get by that person before you clamp on the breaks down into stowe corner <hes> now vale and club corners along with the tighter sections at the loop could provide some action as well as the hairpin at love field <hes> but the important corners here i think the speed corners chapel like just mentioned abby and particularly would co coming to the start finish line where you pretty much aim for the pit wall and then thwacks the throttle all the away open. You definitely have to have a pair brass. Ones at silverstone the entire place really dares you to be brave on the throttle and it provides just as many places to get the backend again out of shape as it does to lose the front end so you have to temper your aggression here martin marquez <hes> you know might not be calcutt slows favourite british track but it certainly can be a lot of fun and i looked for it to be a lot of fun this weekend. So that's a track. Let's move on to talk about the manufacturers and we'll start with honda and hondas hondas fast here but you wouldn't necessarily know it looking at the results some bad luck on the part of martin marquez means that he's only scored one victory at silverstone despite right sitting on the pole multiple times and after him the only other checkered flag for repsol ryder went to casey stoner back in two thousand eleven but but on paper especially this year it should be right up their alley..

"I mean the ones that didn't produce. They might not stick around for even half for that <hes> but the big names like doing gardner schwantz lawson roberts. Those guys all ranged around in a decade or so. That's that's how long they were in the premier your class it was definitely a young man sport and that idea prevailed for a really long time. I mean up until say a couple of years ago or so. Being thirty was was over the hill. You were done emoji. I mean there were some exceptions to the rule. Guys like alex barros loris capirossi <hes> but even writers like say kapros ross your or kenny roberts junior another good example did as much or more of their riding on four stroke bikes as they did on two strokes but then the motogp era era came along and a few years after that while the whole dynamic changed and i would argue that it really changed with casey stoner casey stoner ran a couple of years in the premier class a couple of titles he retired before he well before he was thirty years old that reinforced the preconceived notion that reinforce the idea that <music> by thirty you were done you had to retire before then and if you stayed around after that you weren't gonna do anything but then after storeowner things changed i quite a bit and now riders are sticking around longer and longer and riding into their thirties on a regular basis now. I don't think it was because of casey stoner. It's just that he was the pinpoint hit appoint. He was the last really prominent successful rider that adhered to that by thirty. You're done type of mentality <hes> but now all we obviously see many writers that are riding past thirty and then of course valentino rossi riding in dili's forty right and i would say that that's due to multiple factors the biggest just one safety and technology. I mean a lot of five hundred see see rider simply got to the point where they couldn't ride effectively anymore because they got hurt so often <hes> but they were riding insanely the high strung bikes where you know you're only idea of traction. Control was you're right wrist so getting it wrong didn't just mean losing the front end and then you scrub off some speed into the gravel trap getting wrong that you were going for a ride and the chances of getting hurt were pretty darn high but then with the advent of electronics in the moto g p age well that's kept high sides way down well for everybody except for halo renzo it has <hes> and on top of that the gear is better all around you'll better helmet technology better armor summer airbag suits and so now you've got less severe accidents happening and you've got better gear so rogers or walking away unharmed from rex exor mistakes that would have definitely sent to dr years ago and now when riders to get hurt. They're all these crazy new technologies to help them recover more quickly and get back on the bike so i'd say that's the biggest reason that riders are able to extend their careers far beyond what we would have expected and maybe in ten or twenty years ago then there's better conditioning. You know motorcycle. Racing thing is definitely more competitive than ever and the riders are taking it more seriously than they used to so instead of working on arm strength by you know going down to the pub and curl and a couple of beers. There's everyone works on conditioning constantly. I mean even calcutt slow. You think of crush slow race twenty years ago that he would be you know riding bicycles in the spare time now he'd be the one buying everyone around down at the pub <hes> but everybody's working on conditioning constantly. They're stronger. They're more fit they're more prepared to raise further into their careers and less prone to injuries and then there's also i would argue the financial aspect as well because motor g._p. Is a big business how much much bigger than it was ten or twenty years ago and that means you know that roger opportunities are different than they were for better and for worse i i mean for someone who is very popular like valentino rossi or he'll lorenzo or marc marquez..

"Twenty bikes which of course will be an upgrade for the youngster. He hopes to have an announcement by next week in Berno on one hand. He said it so many times that it makes you wonder fees may be lobbying a little bit like he's trying to convince the team as much as he's trying to convince us <hes> but I think that both Primorac riders represent a bigger potential upside than say bringing back Alvar Battista and by the way Bautista picked exactly the wrong time to start falling off his bike over in W._S._b.. K. If you WANNA get back to motor G._p.. Now's the time where he should just keep rocking and rolling in real and in the winds and unfortunately he's opened the door a little bit <hes> two Kawasaki over there but that's just the beginning of the Takada drama and not even the most interesting do comedy drama because you know Dakota of course has to have an opinion on everything and Alberto Pu over at Honda is basically a do Khadi team boss in disguise at least in terms of being opinionated and because of that a scrap it kind of started between them in the media for the past say week we can have for so for those who don't already know this story from last week a quick recap the fun all started thanks to Policy Abbadi and was really a rather innocent comment it in an interview he was asked about battling Honda and his response to coming up with something that could match Honda is that that's not really what Takada goal currently was because he said that hey a Honda built their bike for Marc Marquez but when you look beyond mark who's always finishing behind him. It's always Yamaha. It's always do coty so beating Honda. Isn't there real challenge beating Marc. Marquez is the real L. Challenge well that didn't sit well with Honda team boss Alberto Push <hes> who lined up an interview of his own where right in front of Honda's trophy case at which point he stood up and screamed scoreboard and pointed to all of those trophies and titles meddlesome Honda of one and then circling back to Kathi and saying hey they've spent a lot of time and a lot of money and a lot of effort. How many of these do they have? They'll have one championship and that was only because Casey stoner so he kinda threw the same name opinion right back at him. I don't know if they really stage it in front of the trophy case but they should have because that would have been way cooler <hes> and then at that point chew body struck back and said Hey Alberto is just twisting my words simply so he could take a shot at us then he pulled a pair of boxing gloves out of his bag and said Hey if Alberta wants to go. I'm here anytime anywhere. I'm Italian. I don't take that crap okay. He didn't do that last part. At least. I don't think he did <hes> the thing is I don't know if those comments comments were a knock on Honda or were even intended to be but the fact of the matter is that policy body is right. I mean Honda is playing their part in this whole thing but Marquez is the catalyst and we aren't seeing Honda One twos and we haven't over the past couple of seasons now like most things in motor G._p...

So John Ray's been a little bit agitated by the troubles behind closed doors as it were. Will. He's the he's dominating start with. We each seen people donate in the past. I would say even if he works to make history by winning the next three in a row. The still bay. Over six hundred points still left on the championship after we finish. Our next around. So. Onsides people will also be complaining that it's a foregone conclusion in dominating. I think it's not the form isn't going to last forever. Kawasaki again, get better. If anything else remember why the two thousand two Troy Bayliss only Kathy started the season in the fomative life winning the first six races in a row, but he didn't end up winning the championship. He was called. So it's the start of the season that you can't is deadly. The best biker moment in the field with the full Musone is the best a bike combination. But Jones the right. He's he's the reigning fulltime world champion. He will obviously have plenty to say about that on the truck. It's where it's having to count on Jonathan Ray us, basically. Yes, we opposition for the past however, many years for that. For save. Save superbikes and provide a great race for us. Now is the The only only are really are is. really it. Plane. He's not done on one manufacturer has been here there and everywhere he'll be the only person that will ever of one a one to two fifty five hundred and GP world championship either gold in Italy and around the world nothing. There's so many things that make him as special as he is. What would you say? He's greatest moments in terms of his greatest, right? There's probably two there's the take away. As against Casey Stoner back in. I think it was I like the for me personally for just full for what it meant to him in the team of the tongue is probably the race in two thousand it's over taking a whole team at the time on the phone call. Now, the it was the young pretend they're trying to sized omens in the team during that season. It's sort of showed. He was he's still top dog. And it was just an amazing women for no one had ever overtaking or tried to overtake the last couple of new for him to pull it off. It was it was an amazing moment. Stay at the top of his game for so long is he just incredibly fit anything credibly fit. But he's Dr to keep going to keep winning the drives to the attend on war Trump. And I think many people starting to doubt whether he is the greatest of all time with the dominance Marcus had a few in the last few seasons. But for me there is no question. He will be the greatest time being Saudi buys. But if he does win ten twelve taught so it shouldn't be questioned to totally is grace to as the greatest Italian sports time. I think when you look what he's achieved and the records held and the longevity of his career. And I think he's definitely up there. And if no I would think he would stay claim very strongly little rumor that apparently he relocates to London to escape the constant attention back in Italy's. True. I believe it is. Yeah. Back in round two thousand thrill he moved to London because it to the he couldn't even go out for a Cup of coffee anywhere 'cause he'd just get moped. They just felt like he wasn't a normal human being. So he moved to London on normal to the new season. What should we be looking out for losses? I think shake call going to hold learn quite possibly one of the strongest alone ups in the history of the championship with Marquez and learns oh being on the reps the whole it'd be interesting to see how that team works to such big names and personalities the new all team with on up to Motoo Frankie Morbidelli coming from mafia on one of volunteers academy road is Frankie more. But that is interesting. See how well he goes on. Allegra true. She moved from the product satellite seem to the factories Kathy team. He's been going quick preseason testing already. So whether Yelm Hong can get to the top having only has one win old law season, they need to stay client back at the top. So it's gonna be a fantastic season the different, but surely all is going to be on Valentina all the all the rest of the grid outside Marquette see can anyone challenge in these since he's in the top in the premier cloth. GP's any lost the championship a one? So it will be always someone else to see who can catch him to these about stope is current contract those through this season, and then expose in the next season. Forty one years of age if he feels that you can keep winning consistently and kicking podium, finishes and east east successful and false. I've seen a reason why wouldn't go to forty two forty three or even older..

"And if they want to send me a free bottle for saying that I will happily accept it because that'll say my Bank account a little bit in the end. So that was Zouqi and they're big intro. We went from there to an epic struggle between two rebel sponsored teams. The KTM tech three face off. They both introduced their paint. Schemes the same day obviously in the same location because they're all sponsored by rebel to really different designs. And I was really curious. I told you what I thought on the last show. I was really curious to see which one you thought was better and the tech three designed definitely had the advantage. But it was far from unanimous mic said he liked both schemes, but that he kind of had to give the edge to the factory bike while Grayson and Morton, they preferred the classic colors of the KTM factory team. And Grayson you do have a point that the chrome rebel letters might get a little bit lost on screen. It'll be fun to see it on track. Although cosmic causing them pointed out that Hayes impressive is that tech. Three design is. All their effort might have been wasted since we're probably not going to see a whole lot of them on TV. Anyway, am Ricky thought it was fitting that the colors are exactly the same as in not one. But a pair of lovable losers in New York. Both the New York Knicks and the New York Mets and for everyone in the rest of the world. The Knicks basketball, the Mets baseball book pretty legendary for having good seasons here there, but not really winning anything really on a regular basis and Ricky that was hilarious. I did not make that connection in my head because I'm not from New York. So it was really funny than you did only since I mentioned Cosmin cosmic. I definitely don't dislike the do Coty scheme. The verdict is just simply still out for me it strange show because it's super Italian Red. And so it should be perfect. Like, it should be the perfect paint scheme for do Coty, bright red, right? But it's just so red compared to the previous few years that I haven't adjusted to it yet. I definitely do. Like the fact that it's a nod to the Casey Stoner era of bikes, and I'm sure that I'm going to warm up to it. But it was pretty it was pretty shocking was so different than what they've run the past couple of years. So that's why still kind of in the middle about it about whether I really like it or whether it's not really jiving with me. But Becker able because that's what we're supposed to be talking about with both the factory KTM and the tech three paint. Schemes I agree with Greg that the best part about both of those designs are that. They're really straightforward. Am really uncluttered. And that's one of the things that is always kind of gotten to me about like say the event. Shia some of the asp are do Qadis even some of the Primax stuff everywhere..

"He can also get details on the new EP which is out right now on itunes and Spotify. Thanks to Paul for Linton. Issues the music on the show art. So when we wrapped up the first half of the show, I talked about an unlikely place that some Honda controversy had cropped up this week. Well, that unlikely place in the unlikely writer behind it Dani Pedrosa, I know he usually doesn't start much controversy at all at least not in the past three or four years or so, but Danny says that there is more than one reason that he's not a Honda test rider right now. Now, he didn't interview with Markelle and Mark asks Danny if the tense relationship between he and berto pooch who remember used to be as manager. In his final motor GPC's and had any bearing on the fact that he's now a test rider for KTM as opposed to a test rider for Honda now Danny being the ultimate professional and not really wanting to draw too much undue attention to himself, especially as a retired rider, a didn't directly single out his former mentor. Instead, he said, hey, Casey, made me a better offer and gave me more of an opportunity to make a difference in the program. But then he, and I don't think he meant this to you know, throw anybody under the bus. I think he meant it genuinely because it happened. He also said that HR president you'll she she gave NoMura told Danny that he wouldn't be effective as a Honda test rider because he's so much smaller than Marquez and where he'll Renzo and because of that Stefan brattle who's more in line with their body type would offer a better opportunity for Honda to develop the bike the way they wanted to develop the bike. And that's interesting to hear. Here because Honda seem to give all of us the impression at the end of the year that Danny was welcome to stay and work with the team. And Danny is kind of saying that he got the opposite feeling now, I don't necessarily think Honda was lying to us. But it seems from Danny's comments more like they were willing to take him on as opposed to wanting to have him as a test rider, you know, to reward for his years of service. And you I'm guessing they imagined it would be Casey Stoner type role Danny shows up for few tests. He runs a few laps answer some questions while smiling for the camera and making all the Honda fans feel good then he gets on a plane and goes home and relaxes until HRC asks him do the whole thing again. And it's very interesting for two reasons number one because it's very possible that the relationship between Danny and Honda, wasn't terribly. Good from the moment that a Berta push took over and number two because the specific. Ethic thing that Honda was most concerned about when being test rider. Daime size is the exact reason that Cates him wanted him. So obviously it works out in the end. But it doesn't make Honda. Look very good that they had this rider for so long gave him so many wins so many podiums and a couple of championships just not the motiva- he level. And then they said, yeah, you you're just too small. We don't even want you here on the the way the Daime presented. He didn't. I don't think he intended it to come across that way. But boy that show what it sounds like to me just saying maybe disagree. And if you do Facebook dot com slash week dot net. All right. So let's move on to some non Honda news..

"Season. Of course, if you're just a huge fan of the number twenty five in general, we can probably get some great stuff for half price right now moving on the joy MIR everybody thought that this was going to be his first opportunity to get on the Zouqi key. SX are are in this test of Lenzi. But it turns out over the weekends is Yuki said no here, it he had a shot at the MotoGP bike DVD Brivio confirmed that they had a private test session for their new rider at Motagua after the race paying, and I'll tell you that is a really really smart move on the part of Suzuki because remember they are losing their concessions for two thousand eighteen and because of that their factory riders aren't gonna have private tests at all Suzuki, just like Yamaha do Coty and Honda are limited to only the official open tests. No extra days sort things out. No extra time for MIR to get comfortable to get everything situated, and that kind of stuff getting acclimated to the bike and understanding what you're working with the begin with is very important and it takes time. And so putting them on a bike before he becomes an official rider is a fantastic opportunity because he's not bound by any testing limits at that point. He's not a fulltime writer. He's not even an employee under contract to them at that point. All they have to do is get permission from his current team, which obviously they did get and honestly wise Mark VDI gonna care. It's not like it's going to compete with them in the future. And so he gets this opportunity to, you know, get some basics on the bike to get setup. Organon worked out before getting the Valencia, and that's save them a ton of time that they otherwise would have had no other place to do it. But in that Lenzi attests. So I think it was a very good idea for them to do it. And that's all the stuff that veteran riders already have sorted out before they even start that testable NCO. So it was a very very wise move on the partisan cookie. The other rookies are really bound by that. Because those teams they they don't have the same rules apply to them when it comes to testing as the non-concessional factory teams do so if they need an extra test here and they're sitting get seat position. So without the pig sorta that well, that's fine. They can do that during Valencia or do that at some other time, but JoAnne MIR being. A factory rider. A fulltime factory rider. Does not have that opportunity. So smart move on Suzuki's part. And you'll I kind of wonder why there aren't different tests rules for rookies. Even if they're on a factory team because as far as I remember reading the rules. There are no special allowances extra lances for rookie riders that are on non concession factory teams, though, the rule the test applies to the team not the rider if I'm wrong about that. Then I'm sure you'll let me know on the Facebook page moving on Casey stone or could he come back to Honda as test driver? Well, there was at least one more sign over the Valencia test that it could could happen. Burto pooch was asked Pacific about Casey Stoner, and he was very very cagey as Honda people are known to be he pointed out, the fact that obviously case he's a very talented brighter in a very valuable router to Honda's. He brought the championship, but he stopped short of saying whether he would invite stone her to be a test rider for the organization, but there's one guy who could potentially block the entire deal. Does mark. Marquess one Casey Stoner to be a Honda test rider. Maybe not so much when he was asked in Valencia Mark pointed out that you know, if you wanna be a good test, you want to be a valuable test rider to your team you have to be available. Whenever the factory Mead you to test. And he said, I'm not so sure about this..

"Actually, I'm after that crazy incident and SilverStone where he got hit by Franken Morbedelli's bike and had a severe break of his leg. Tito said he will be back on the bike again in Valencia but not in the race instead in the official season and test. Now that announcement also pretty much confirms what we thought but had. Been made official yet that Tito will in Deby continuing on with the Vinci to Qadi next season writing GPA eighteen Carell Abraham will be his new teammate on a GP seventeen. Savvier Semion will be headed off to Moto e and you know, after one of the most unusual multi bike incidence in a long time. It is really really good to see the Tito is back to the point where he can ride again. Even if he admits that he's not up to one hundred percent quite yet. After what he went through just to see him back on the bike at all is a really really good thing. But one rider, we will absolutely not be seeing on a bike in Valencia that I know of is Casey Stoner because Casey and do Coty have apparently both decided that he will not continue on as their test rider and brand ambassador at the conclusion of his current contract, which presumably finishes off at the end of the air. But I figure since the announcement is already been made. It's not like he's going to that's a magical appearance at Valencia on that bike. You know, it seems like he's been there for really long time as their test driver. But it really has. I've been in believe it or not Casey is only been with Duke Audi for three seasons, but it's really only been to because pretty much all of this year. He's been on the shelf after suffering shoulder injury and testing and having to have surgery on his arm. But, you know, the big Downer in this is that, you know, the combination of Casey Stoner and do Kadi is like the perfect recipe for drama and some of that came to the surface this year when Casey accused the team of not taking his advice on the development of the bike and saying that he wanted to be a test drive or not a poster boy for do Coty..

"And that's probably the biggest surprise in the only surprise in this whole thing. I totally can understand him going to Cates. Him wanting to help develop that bike and make it into a champion or at least make it into a bike that can compete for podiums race wins. But the biggest surprise for me is that he decided against sticking with Honda. But you know, like, I said back when the rumors started, I think if Danny did ever wanna come back and represent Honda in some fashion after stunned testing for Kate's him, they're not gonna turn them down. They're not gonna turn him down any more than two khadi with Casey Stoner after he did testing for Honda and the decided he wanted to go back to Kathi. So I think that the door's always going to be open for Perot said Honda because of his long storied history there. Plus, it's not like, he's totally abandoning them. Because he's going to basically work with the rebel team. And rebel still puts a lot of money into the Repsol Honda factory squad. So it's definitely a competitor. But it's not like he went off to Kati. Try and help them beat Honda or went off the Yamaha to try and help them beat Honda. He went to KCM, and it's gonna be a while before KTM has a chance to legitimately beat Honda. So the next story and this is a last one before we move on to race weekend. Jack Miller little bit of drama going on here. Maybe not a huge drama. But I thought it was very interesting in talk about it. Because Jag Miller said in Australia that Kati had offered him the hor- Hillary so factory film position. I or more accurately that was the original plan that was told to him when Lorenzo pulled out of MotoGP that if he couldn't come back for Australia that since they happen to be heading Jackson track. He would then be the one to get the shot at the factory bike. But it was kinda like we were thinking and talking about on the pre ratio in the end. Due Qadi was concerned about obligations implants with the prime guys. When Jack wrecked out of moti failed to score points for MAC in the team standings to kata got little bit nervous. And they decided you know, what it's probably best to leave our original lineup. Patry Miller in place on the pack bikes to maximize their opportunity the score points at the end. And that's when the plane changed in our Teesta got the nod, and I can see why Kati might have been a little bit nervous. Because remember at that point Cal crutch low wasn't hurt in on top of that. He was coming off of a great performance in Japan, and they had no way of knowing that he was going to score zero points. And of course, it could make the switch at the last second on top of that without trade of it's the also wrecking out last weekend. We'll take your two weeks ago. Taghi the chances of the do Coty factory team catching Honda in the team and constructor points became far less likely as well. So, and that's the other reason they were considering putting Jack Miller. On the bike because they thought that he would have the better chance of boosting those totals for cadi. So they could try and chase down hug while Dolly wrecks out. He didn't score any points that Motulsky at this point Takata. He's like, oh, this is kinda throw away. And we don't want to mess up prey mex- chances at the same time will leave the primary guys in place, and we'll bring of our Batista over. And like I was saying earlier in my top five that actually makes the Baltijsk performance that much more impressive because they were thinking of it as a throwaway. Let's just put you know on the biking collar today. I'm in the end, I think it is a little bit of a bummer that Miller didn't get that ride because announcing that Jack Miller was going to be on a factory do Qadi a couple of days before the Australian GP element huge for the hometown fans. But of course, to was thinking about points more than they were thinking about marketing, but I would argue that even assuming Calcutta were healthy and actually even had a good race at Phillip island. I would argue that Primax position was probably still safe even with Cal out there. So they probably could have made that work if they really wanted to..

"Now, you had to kind of push it because you didn't know what to expect in the next corner. Would it be damped? Would it be dry? And like, I say you have all of those things. And again, that's what makes Phillip island so special is it just the circuit fast and open relief fits the area that it is. And if you ever. A chance go you should it's an amazing place and going into the weekend. Obviously the championship had already been decided Marc Marquez as a sitting last show put in a great ride to wrap up the championship at moti. And so what was going to happen this weekend? We, of course, knew that Hori Lorenzo wasn't going to rice Albert about Teesta was going to take his place and opportunity to ride the factor machine. And how would he get on with that considering that he's never ridden the two thousand eighteen do Coty, but he certainly was going to have great support and for him and great opportunity to show not only what he could do, but to leave a stamp on the along and somewhat distinguished career in motor GP. So that was going to be one of the stories now was it also just going to be a battle between Andre devito devito and Marc Marquez as we've seen over these last races in and did Mark and. If it was about it was Mark going to be able to pull off another win. Like he has in the last couple because he has said that he's kinda got Dovers brace management figured out. Also, the malls. Now, we know that the struggles that they that maverick banalities had of course, in Japan was I going to continue. Well, we're going to have to see it certainly is a track that they've done. Okay. At certainly better than do Qadis in the recent years after Casey Stoner's dominance for they're there for a while. But was going to be able to have all the problems fixed. Well, we've got to see and Danny patrols, of course. Now that he's going to KTM how is he going to finish and insert? It's attract that that he's done well out before. Now Cal crutch slow the crash that he had going into turn one. And we saw quite a few crashes certainly most of them front end low sides. I've talked about the tendencies. Of the Mitchell and tires that if they do have an issue fraud arrear, usually the rear is is very good. Lot of lot of edge grip all Toronto grip. And certainly a lot of lot of Dr grip, but the front tar is one of the issues that the writers I'll take of have struggled with certainly from race to race. And if they bring a tire it's a little bit different and the cold conditions, certainly seem to catch quite a few of the routers out in one of those cow crutch slow going down into turn one, and what it unfortunate for him. Having such a strong finish in Japan and leading the independent teams championship over Johann Zarco. And and Patricia he certainly did not need that to happen. And let's hope that the surgeries that he's going to have this week. We'll get everything straightened out for him. And and we'll keep him in in our thoughts of income back soon. But more likely he'll be out for the rest of the year. Now, Jack Miller there was talk about Jack Miller may be being one that was replace oil Lorenzo going into the weekend. It wasn't the case. Because again with the team championship independent team championships. New still to be decided they they decide keep him on the primate by can and put about taste on the factory machine. But Jack referenda get-go showed what he can do. And it's great to see. He's a he's a great personality. And and a kid that seems to be making progress, and we certainly he's already shown Eka run the pace. He's got that figured out. But as I said last race, he's got to figure out that one lap pace. But he's got to figure out how to improve his race craft and just good his confidence. And and get that figured out going into qualifying looked like that in owning was going to be certainly tough banalities put it was was strong in practice times and race pace. And so it looks like maybe either knowning or or maverick might be able to put in a quick time..

And then all of a sudden with like fifteen to twelve laps, left all of a sudden somebody with the medium tyre, something like that, just runs it up. You know. "Is my daughter sings along to it now? She just goes pop up. And then anytime they, she just goes dog. It's funny to parents. Yes, she's amazing. I get now why people have like eight kids, I get it. It's fucking amazing. I mean, if you can just get past being tired and eventually hating you between the ages of about eleven and I don't know depending how much you actually did do it might be the rest of your life. But usually I think it lasts somewhere. Mid college. I would think. I've already thought about how I'm gonna handle their teenage years. I'm just listen. I know I know your style man, but can you just go to lunch with your old man? I swear to God his deal. I like. I'll let you walk in. I just in case some of your friends are in there are right. And then if none of your friends are in there than I'll come in like the fuck and elephant man all sit down, just have lunch with me if any of French show up, you know. I mean, I know what to do at that point. I guess I would walk out. Mazing is like this little perfect being that need you on such a ridiculous level. It almost makes you cry within like ten years, like treat you like the fuck and plague. You know, I'm kind of cited for for the whole fucking journey because at the end of the day, I am a loner. So I think I'll be able to have snow. I won't. When you're flesh and blood Stearns back on you. All right. I think we need to do some advertising here. Don't at some point. None of them only twelve minutes. The only twelve minutes and you know what I tell you guys that I watched the motor GP from Germany, seek. I. From Germany, and I saw. Fucking Marc Marquez, fucking rundown hor halo Lorenzo that I just don't understand the whole fuck entire thing. These fucking guys whenever they used the soft tyre, they're always leading in the beginning and then eventually the soft tyres to fucking soft. It starts to wear down and then the fucked. You know. I mean at this point, the way Marc Marquez is winning. Why don't you just go? Well, what is Mark going to us today to give ourselves a fighting chance? Because as far as I know, Jorges Lorenzo, he fucking. You wanna championship three years ago, right? Marquez is four. The last five. Let me look this Moto g p champing homes. Am I on the right internet? Okay. Here we go. God, they just let me know. Okay. How Valentino Rossi always making the podium. That's a weird thing in racing that I don't get how you get too old to do it. I mean, as long as you're fucking, especially race, car drivers Footwork's can you press down on the guess? I mean, the engine has to go to one hundred miles an hour. You don't, right. I mean, just kind of ride along. Right? But I guess your reflexes, your reflects his get. Aren't as good, and then. I don't know. You just stop winning. It's crazy. All right. So basically, first of all, shout out to Spain because since two thousand ten a Spaniard has wanted every year except two thousand eleven when arguably the greatest motorcycle name of all time.
