You're with America in the Morning. I'm John Trout. It's 14 till. More a than dozen teenagers were hospitalized after a walkway collapsed during a summer field trip to a Texas beach. Corresponding Clayton Neville has that story. More than 70 teenagers were on the trip to Surfside Beach in our south of Houston with the Bayou City Fellowship summer camp. Authorities campers say were taking a picture on an elevated walkway on the beach when the walkway collapsed. This witness spoke with ABC 13 in Houston. That whole ramp was getting full and then all of a sudden it sounded like a shotgun blast and went pow and next thing I know I see girls flying through the air bouncing off the ground and then they didn't move in about a minute later. I really appreciate the first responders. It wasn't a minute and first responders were on scene and they were just kids laying everywhere. It was terrible. The Surfside Fire Department says says at least five people were flown in helicopters to a local hospital. 14 others were taken to hospitals by the victims are expected to survive and range in age from 14 to 18. Authorities now investigating what exactly caused the collapse. I'm Clayton Clayton Neville. As wildfires burn in Canada and spread bad air quality over parts of the US the investigation into what started Colorado's most destructive wildfire has been uncovered. Ed Donahue has that story. The determination is embers from an old fire and sparks from a power line set off 2021 wildfire in heavily populated suburbs between Denver and Boulder District Attorney Michael Doherty made the announcement. They were looking for precedence to support a client's lawsuit against the Colombian airline Abianca for an injury occurred on a flight. And chat GPT suggested several cases they haven't been able to find. The problem was some weren't real or involved airlines that didn't exist. "So I got to get as much NHL hockey as possible. Yeah I did watch it. I got to be honest I think that both of these teams I just absolutely love their style and pace of play. Like I just think it just it's just it makes it fun. It's not like I mean I'm sure Grace isn't watching it but the NBA finals like that's a nightmare scenario for the NBA. Just two boring ass teams that can't shoot. These two teams are a lot of fun to watch. I kind of always forget about the star star power on Vegas. I mean when you're rolling out Marsha so and stone and Eichel and Riley Smith even in William Carlson's in your third line and then you know I don't know. Like I have this man crush on Nick Hague. I want that guy on my team so bad. He's freaking awesome. He's tall. He's fast. He's in your face. You know Shay Theodore. I Mark can probably attest to this every now and then you find these players in the minor leagues that are there for a while. And then all of a sudden they have this NHL success and you're like that guy sucked in the minor leagues. Like how was he. How was he any good. And that's how I feel about Carter Verhage. That's how I feel about Aiden Hill. Aiden Hill was hot garbage in the NHL couldn't stop a beach ball. And yet here he is making ridiculous saves in the Stanley Cup Finals. That blows my mind. It turns my mind sideways. I said the same thing about Aiden Hill. I'm like I don't think this guy's the answer for the Vegas Golden Knights. Boy is this backfired in my face. Well I mean you know Jordan Bennington is another one. He was even when he was in Providence I was like well this guy's not very good. And then you know before you know it he's won in cups. So I thought that was kind of funny watching. I'm just waiting for Aiden Hill to give up six seven goals and be flopping all over the place and sort of getting the opposite there. Everybody goes to the show and you know however they get people in the building. Although I don't know why it had to be televised. You know I can understand that part of it. But the person I was watching person I was watching with the Canes fan insisted we went and we're getting dinner before and insisted on getting back to watch that specifically. So another knock against Canes fans and also though maybe some people are into it. He was like we got to get back. I want to see that. I want to see the guy fight the dragon or whatever the hell they're doing in that part. That's like somebody. That's like somebody going to the Red Sox game just to listen to Sweet Caroline. This is the worst kind of Red Sox fans. Oh God. So yeah I think it I think it'll be a fun series.
