Now we learned already that a corrupt data file caused a system wide shutdown of the notice to air mission system which provides vital safety information to pilots. In a statement, the FAA says tonight the data file was damaged by personnel who failed to follow procedures. The ground stopped lasted for about two hours, but it caused nearly 2000 flight cancellations and 11,000 delays. It was a cascading effect all day because of this. So repeating. That big mess at the airports yesterday caused by human error. It's the latest announcement by the FAA.
