Let's talk preseason football. What's your take on all of the overs that we have seen here so far in the NFL preseason? Just coincidence at this point in time. I mean, look, it's a shorter preseason, right? This is the second year we've had the three preseason games. So coach is just starting to adjust. And I think what you're starting to see is a little more urgency from second teamers realizing that or guys trying to make the Russia, hey, I don't have as many opportunities to show out in game film what I can really do. Guys are probably trying a little bit harder, but you know, with the randomness of the preseason, it just feels like it's a lot more coincidence. Take, for example, this game coming up between Chicago and Seattle with a total of 39 and a half. The under screamed to me. Now, if you look at the first game that both of these teams played in, the bears, okay? Did not score in the first quarter when their ones were in. And they scored ten points in the second quarter. They scored two, I'm sorry, this is Seahawks rather. Scored ten points in the second order and scored garbage touchdowns with drew lock on the back end to end up with 25 points. Chicago didn't score any points in the first half against Kansas City. So when the starters are theoretically going to play longer in this game because this is the true test that this is supposed to be the third preseason game. Now it's the second one. Where starters are going to play longer. That says to me, I got two really bad offenses playing longer against number ones on defense, which doesn't look like it adds up to a lot of points to me. The variants which you can't eliminate here is you've got a quarterback battle going on in Seattle. So both of those guys are going to be playing their tails off for every single snap that they're in there because they want to show the coach said, hey, I should be the starter. And that may add up to more points later on in the game when the reserves are in, but still 20 points from each of those teams, each of those offense is playing at least a half, feels like a lot right now. Yeah, and I think maybe here you're taking advantage of the books, maybe over adjusting to what we have seen so far because they posted the totals on these games way too low, and they got hammered. I mean, we saw the adjustment just on this last game here on Sunday Night, but with the Raiders where it was 35 and got pushed all the way up to 39. So for the fact that we're going to see now 39s, maybe 39 and a half or 40s be posted, perhaps you're right. It's time to take a look at it under. Yeah, and again, with the starters playing a little bit longer in theory. Now, this is an everybody. You've still got to wait until you get closer to kick-off to figure out who's going to be playing how much they're going to be playing. Is anybody have you held out last minute because of a possible injury or a tweak of whatever in practice and how much is that going to affect it, but I just looked at that and that was one of the early lines that I saw. I got too bad offenses with sketchy quarterback play all around. It doesn't necessarily lead me to believe that a lot of points can be scored. All right, I'm going to give you Gino Smith or drew lock, who is starting week one for the Seahawks. I mean, if Pete Carroll doesn't choose drew lock, I'm not really sure how much longer he wants to coach. I mean, the upside is what drew lock. He's got a better arm. I mean, clearly he's a little bit, I would say more polished with the modern NFL and the way they throw the ball down the field a lot more, but you know, Gino Smith ceiling, I think we've seen. Have we ever really seen drew lock ceiling yet? You could argue yes, and I think that's fair, but I just think he has higher upside. If you want to try to win in today's NFL, you've got to throw the ball down the field. That's proven in statistics and metrics and even the analytic nerds got into that all that stuff, but still lock is the better deep arm quarterback. So I would, if I'm Pete Carroll, I'm leaning on him. You could get two to one right now offshore on drew lock that we started week one for the Seahawks. Let's go steelers. Mitchell trubisky or Kenny Pickett. I mean, how in the world are they really going to not start Guinea picking at this point? I agree with you. The kid looked good too, but also it's like, what are you trying to do? Like nowadays, I understand like the old the old way of thinking was let a quarterback sit, you let them learn, your groom them for a couple of years. But now we're seeing that the timetable is short and so much because you got to decide if you're going to pick up the option after a couple of seasons that you got to throw them out to the fire and see what you have and let them learn on the fly. A 100%. Now you can argue it with third and fourth round quarterbacks. Those guys can sit first round quarterbacks don't sit. Yeah. There's no reason to. You invest in the capital and the guy because you believed he was good enough to be a starter in the NFL. You got to throw him to the wolves. And at the end of the day, Joe burrow kind of ruined it for everybody. It's because Cincinnati had no offensive line. They had no real receivers to speak of, except a banged up AJ green was a tea Higgins with Tyler bourda. Forget it was that he had. Beyond that, he went out there and made that team competitive. It's not about winning games when you're starting a rookie quarterback. It's about being competitive and staying in games. And he proved he can do that. That's all you're asking for from a rookie. If you get more than that, great. But if you don't, you at least you know you got a quote gamer and a guy that you can give the ball to when you start adding more pieces around him and trust him. He steals a plenty of pieces around Kenny Pickett. Like Mitchell trubisky at this point his career will take any contract to stay on a team in the NFL and be a backup. So if Kenny Pickett doesn't work out, guess what? Mister Jim bisky goes, what's gonna fall on my lap and play the last 8 games and try to win a starting job there. And that's fine. He's happy with that. With Kenny Pickett, you gotta find out what you have, especially with the quarterback rich draft that everybody is alluding to happening. This next draft, all those guys are going to be available for you in the first round. I mean, you got to know right now if the guy you drafted is it. Yep, absolutely. Plus 5 50 offshore on Kenny Pickett to start week one for long Pittsburgh Steelers. All right, one more quarterback battle. Baker Mayfield or Sam darnold in Carolina. Can I go with option C? Matt corral? Why not? I mean, again, another guy find out what the hell you got, right? I mean, it's going to be hard right now for Sam darnold to win this job back. That's the problem. It's not really an even they're not starting from an even standpoint. Baker Mayfield only lost his job because a better quarterback became available. I think they were done with them, and they weren't going to pick up his option. But if they didn't have another option, Baker Mayfield is not being benched over Jacoby or set. Like, that's just not happening. Because somebody else became available, Baker Mayfield got shipped off. So baker didn't lose his starting job necessarily. He didn't play great, but there's a lot of reasons you could speculate why he didn't play great. That said, we've seen Sam darnold have two opportunities at starting jobs right now, both of them on bad teams, and he didn't really show that he can be competitive like we just talked about. Did Sam Howell do enough in week one of the preseason to at least make Carson Wentz sweat a little bit at some point this season? Listen, if Carson went to sweating at this point in his career, it's because he's got a medical condition. I don't know that Carson Wentz has anything to worry about. Because he's been shipped off from two different organizations, doesn't mean that he's not talented enough to play. It just means in both cases they found somebody better. And I don't know that Sam hell at this point is better than Carson Wentz. Anything you're betting on the Washington commanders isn't about the offense. It's only about the defense. Two years ago, when they made the playoffs with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Taylor heinicke, they did it because their defense was a top 5 defense they got after the quarterback, they were relentless on that side of the ball and it turned them into a competitive football team where they could win plays. Wind games rather with mediocre quarterback play. I don't believe Carson Wentz is a media quarterback. I got a soft spot for a kid with that kind of talent. I mean, I just do. I can't not fall in love with this town. Red hair, I can kind of get past, but you know, the town from a football standpoint, I love for Carson Wentz. That said, he doesn't have to be great. He can do what he did last year in Indianapolis, which oh, by the way, when you look at the numbers, was not bad. What are 7 picks last year, 27 touchdowns? Almost 35, 3800 yards, whatever. I mean, that's a good year for a quarterback. If Washington fixes the defense,

Colts' Carson Wentz, Ryan Kelly, Zach Pascal Placed on Reserve/COVID-19 List
"Carson Wentz, wide receiver Zach Pasco and Senator Ryan Kelly have all been placed on the Covid list and will miss the next five days of practice after being deemed close contacts of someone who has covid 19, meaning all three players are unvaccinated Wentz just returned to the practice field after missing close to a month. With a foot injury, meaning Jacob season will get first team reps this week under center for Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Colts' T.Y. Hilton to Miss Start of Season
"T Y. Hilton expected to miss the start of the regular season after re aggravating a neck injury. At practice last week earlier on ESPN radio are Courtney Cronin in Shape Peppler. The Colts need to let go stage their locker room like they need to take a page out of the Baltimore Orioles and what they did there in breaking a 19 game losing streak because it just feels like injury after injury for them Now, next on the list is T Y Hilton, who's got a back problem. They don't know the diagnosis with That, But I know Courtney, you've got some more insight as to what the deal is with T Y Hilton in Indianapolis. Yeah, Apparently he was injured in practice on Wednesday. This didn't come from the preseason game that they just played on Friday. That happened early, and then he came back out and he was able to finish practice. But now we find out Shea that he has a back and a neck injury and he's out indefinitely and that comes on the heels. And, like 24 hours, they find out that and then Sam Ehlinger, the backup quarterback as a knee injuries out for 4 to 6 weeks. I think that this Indianapolis team for all the steps forward that they were able to take in the last few weeks, getting Carson Wentz back at practice, the good at least, you know, positive news that they got with Quentin Nelson, who had the same foot injury that Carson once has. That it's not going to be the end of his season, either, And then they're dealt this blow the big one here, though, as I look at all of these injuries and trying to figure out which is the worst one is probably Ehlinger because you don't know when Carson once is really going to be ready to play. Is it going to be weak? One? They haven't put that timetable on him. Yet. That is still two weeks away. Your backup quarterback right now is Jacob Eason like it was supposed to be Ehlinger. But now he's out 4 to 6 weeks. That's something that I don't think is a should give them any confidence. That's a Big below Hilton, Like many
Will Carson Wintz Be Ready for Week 1?
"Good news from indianapolis where quarterback carson wentz and guard quentin nelson will return to practice this week on a limited basis to nelson nelson both coming off foot surgery in early august holtz head coach. Frank reich had this to say about his quarterback last week in the perfect world. We have a really good idea after that third preseason game and carson would get to work two weeks going into the first game. That's the perfect world. The nets perfect world is the only gets the work of game week. I don't know if that's going to happen would be week to week. Three is still some mystery here regarding the timeline on carson wentz. What do we make of the recovery. Time line here. It seems to be going pretty well. Kimberly what are you hearing. In terms of carson wentz in the colts yeah it was somewhat surprising just because the initial time was five to twelve weeks and you know when i asked people around the league. Oh carson may be back in practice. Look at this. they're like. Oh is that an indictment on the other guys. I don't think that's the case. But i think india's a very delegates only because we've seen frank reich Gold took in my opinion go above and beyond in solidify this carson's team then and we. I love nick foles. But this is carson's team gotta hear this nicole stock and it just seemed a little extra and when you think about how carson has been described by people in league as far he needs to feel security needs to feel wanted. He needs to know that this is his team. The colts clearly are doing that. So this tie him being back at practice so soon you want you wanna make sure that he's not rushing himself back before he needs to be because this is a team that could go really far
Carson Wentz, Quenton Nelson Both Trending Toward Being Available for Colts Week 1
"News is good from Colts camp. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reporting quarterback Carson Wentz. All Pro guard went Nelson are trending toward playing in the September 12th season opener, both recovering from foot surgeries. There's one main determining factor for when in his return. Notes more this is really about a pain management issue. And Carson here the high pain threshold and yesterday, walking around the entire practice. As I said, with no boots and hardly any limp, that was a good sign and reaffirmed to me more than once at this, you know they feel better about week one.
Indianapolis Colts OL Quenton Nelson out 5-12 Weeks With Foot Injury
"Quinton nelson has the same exact injury as carson wentz and having these same exact surgery as carson wentz has the same exact timetable to return as carson wentz. Two of the indianapolis colts biggest stars. Best players out with the same damn thing and their foot carson. Wentz to surgery went very well. Frank reich alluded to the fact that he'll be back closer to five weeks twelve weeks. I guess we'll have to sit and find out about gwen
"carson wentz" Discussed on Around the NFL
"But the train is completely off the tracks and honestly signing nick foles which felt like a joke. A couple of days ago becomes more and more real. Because nick foles today basically said to the media. Frank reich is if not the one of the best coaches. I've ever been around one of my favorite coaches of all time. I mean that relationship exist rare to. He's still at the bear so they would have to work out a trade on that on that front but yeah that feels like like wh. Why wouldn't you do that at this. The wentz i think because people are concerned with went song. Think of all the decisions. The eagles made being afraid of winces feelings. And i think that might be part of. I get the colts wanting to see what eastern looks like for a week or something like that. There's no huge hurry. Supposedly hasn't looked good. I remember being there in two thousand seventeen when scott tolls zine and phillip walker and. There was another one that i'm forgetting about right now. Stephen morris was there and they couldn't complete a pass and supposedly. that's what colts practices. Look like for the first four or five days or so and it's like you're not getting much done Your center ryan kelly. Who has a big contract is out for a couple of weeks. You have eric fisher at left tackle coming off of a tornado. We don't know if he's gonna be ready for the start of the season and like again like you said mark like even if he was back week one is he going to be making quick decisions. That's not went. He hold onto the ball. So go to tony. Yes forget that about that. I i got to trade for someone because you can't count on wednesday in healthy so if it's not falls then it should be mariota or should be jacoby who they did trade for back in two thousand seventeen. Not sure the dolphins would have any interest in dealing and kind of. I don't know cam new and maybe right before week one. Would he ever be available. I'm just like throwing out names here. Some sort of backup. That isn't gonna ruin your season. They did signed brett hundley by the way. But probably the best quarterback on that roster right now really The one thing. I'll add before we move on greg. The dynamic between the colts whence marriage is totally different than the eagles wentz dynamic which was a marriage that had a lot of back story to it and a lot. It was like a married couple with a lot of layers to what's going on behind the scenes and it became really You know naughty naughty a situation for them and now it's kind of a fresh start right meaning of nadi there. I feel like a little bit of a double meaning. And so. If i'm the colts i can't worry about hurting carson wentz. His feelings trying to save the season here. Tough sangre all right in other news the ravens they might have gotten better defense after signing just in houston to a one year four million dollar contract houston had other offers for a gig. In fact better offers in baltimore had out there but he took it to come to baltimore probably get idea because he feels like a a ravens guy that could thrive at thirty two years old. Nice situational pass rusher at this state of the game and mark. Do you think this is something that will lift baltimore. They seem to need it here. This reminds me of when the steelers picked up veteran. Pass rusher a couple ingram a couple of weeks ago where you just think it's gonna work. I think it's gonna work out fine. I don't think justin houston last. Year was the same guy but he still had eight sacks you look at who baltimore had pernell mcphee. Thomas bowser and jalen ferguson combined last year for seven sacks so you know. They have a first round rookie as well but they needed help. And i think houston's like the perfect kinda guy to come in to baltimore obviously wanted to be there. He took less money to go there. That's unusual so yes. I like to fit just two million guaranteed so he did not have a strong mark even if he turned down a better deal they always figure it out. I have big questions. The the offensive line in baltimore is totally different quietly. It could be better. But it's kevin zeitler it's villanueva a new center. Bozeman the defensive line. They're gonna count on this rookie odor away for a lot of snaps. Osgood having having houston out there though to me is big. They always figured out like this second. Your matter bouquet. Their defensive tackle. It's like they just have like guys coming out of their pockets. That end up working out way way better than you expect. And i'm sure for the ravens. This feels nice because you remember in the offseason when they're trying to get another wide receiver. Everybody kept on telling them no and they were signing elsewhere for lower money amount. Juju smith schuster comes to mind as one of those guys that somebody wants to come to the ravens. And i think it's a smart move. Justin houston in other. Afc north news. Marquis the cleveland browns gotta deal done with a star on their offense but an baker mayfield. It is nick. Chubb the star running back and team agreed on a new contract extension That covers three years thirty six point. Six million twenty of that guaranteed and while people marken Debate whether to do a deal with baker right now or to wait. This one feels like a no brainer. Nick chubb is a certified bad ass. Keep them in the building. Keep him happy. Give them the money that he's deserved..

"Frank right says carson. Wentz will have surgery today on his injured foot and we'll be sideline but five and twelve weeks. This follows news from over the weekend. That once was going arrest his foot rather than have surgery right. Said second year quarterback jacob season will get first team reps with out problem in in tho- sell. How concerning is this breaking news for the colts very concerning if you're a coach fan part of the quotes organization. It couldn't be any worse. And i know some people. Yes it could. It could be outfit entire year. No i think that would actually be better than him. Missing twelve up to twelve weeks. We here right now. These reports let me tell you what this is worse than being out the entire year. If he was out the entire year he gets ranch. Yeah the entire year shoulders. Go from this man saying i was going to show them this year to show him again next year but this one is truly going to be damaging walk because it really is his body and his mind is going to be out of sync. Asamoah bows was talking about. Carson is actually live through that as well in terms of there's a calendar there's a schedule there are reps. they're going to be prescribed. They're going to be opportunities. And not gonna participate knows. Why does it matter the carson with because carson wentz is trying to get some good film out there carson. Wentz is trying to get his mojo back carson. Wentz is trying to get the doubt burs to fly away but the problem is when you now are off schedule and it's not a new system. Wouldn't know wish. Because it is frank reich on a different team when you're carson wentz. You wanted to snowball to start. You wanted to get the first good taste and then just keep them going to keep on growing. But now you're in a position where you can't even start that momentum. Now you fast forward this november i. Where's the team is a team in contention and we really don't need you. The team out of contention are struggling like come. Save the day greater expectations for god. Who's last time he was on. The football field wasn't looking good. All of this adds up to a horrible recipe for carson wentz to go back out there and now have to deal with another injury mind off his injury history and carson wentz screen time. Oh my man. I don't know what you did in your prior life brother but missed now treaty because you are living through it right now i was injury prone but this is next level concussion. Back injury aco. Llc rib rhys now you could throw into knicks. Here's the problem with him. How do you get all of that behind you. You know what i'll show. There's only one way to put something good in front of you. But right now he has to wait up to three months to get that good taste. And that's why. This is very concerned when i see that injury full screen. I just see toughness in brazilian. 'cause fans you have no reason to worry they have no reason to worry. The carson wentz his heart and it's because of this. The colts needed a quarterback to get them over the hump not to get them to the filming do without carson wentz. The coast is still going to get to to hunt and they just needed a quarterback to get them over the hump..

"Could choose playthrough pain. And this guy's got an injury history. Get surgery clean it up miss some weeks again. You're in a bad the vision a really. I think it's the worst division football. I know the nfc east would give it a run for its money but i think washington and dallas at least are exceptional on one side of the football. Washington's defense is amazing. They have they have the best young defensive line and football and the cowboys have all sorts of offensive weapons. They're receiving course great. This divisions mess outside of the colts offensive line. There's not a single unit in that division. that's really note worthy. I mean it's the colts all line and not much else. And so when decides let's get surge. And i think this is part of it. I think the colt realize he can miss eight weeks and they can go three and five. They're good enough coach. Good enough roster. They have really nice weapons. Jonathan taylor emerged as a star running back commingled three and five and hold on for dear life i think that's part of it and so carson wentz has decided let's just get surgery cleanness thing up to high school injury bla-bla-bla be ready. Some people are floating the idea. The chris ballard the. Gm should go out. Perfect time to get jimmy garoppolo but remember whence his history is one with injuries. Garoppolos history is one with injury. So you wouldn't be asking. Chris ballard one of the smart. Gm's i consider him a friend in the sport to say. Hey you know that injured guy. That's really expensive. Why don't you go out and get another injured guy. That's really expensive now. Lance has reportedly been excellent in camp in his. Battling jimmy garoppolo four the starting job so i do believe the niners..

"I think it's my biggest colin right colin wrong. Ever i didn't do last monday. I was off so that is stack today breaking news. Alex currie is joining me this week. I believe joys and italy enjoying the splendors of global travel. I gave her the most incredible list to go. Enjoy the places on the off. Because i studied abroad and lived in italy for six months. It's one of my favorite places in the world. I found out she was going. I was like at least my favorite places so amazing well Good for joy. And that's great. That's what a good friend does here. Some really sobering news to start us on monday. The indianapolis colts a very well run football operations. They got a smart. Gm a- smart head coach and the league's best offensive line. It's virtually impossible to not get to the playoffs when you have the best offensive line to the second best maybe to the browns and football carson wentz their quarterback. He is now elected to have surgery on a foot. Injury reportedly a high school injury and he is out somewhere between what five and six and twelve weeks one month to three now. They're in such a wobbly division. They still have a fighting chance to scratch and claw their way to a nine eight record. That could win the division houston's a mass jacksonville rebuilding. I don't trust tennessee but this is an interesting story. You can do everything right in the national football league everything right. The colts have done everything right. They built a pass rush a great line a great. Gm excellent coach super roster smart with their money. Don't overpay anybody yeah. They can't get the quarterback right and when andrew lucked retired right before the season everybody in the media said he has a right to retire whenever he wants. I said it too but this is what it is since. Then they have been bailing water at the number one most important position they could call philip rivers..

"The i don't share jeff's concern. Here's the thing. not not. Very many people were coming in and thinking. Check me out to me jeff. Not very many people came in and said carson wentz is going to be the hero. He's going to be the savior. Not many people had the indianapolis colts winning a lot of those first five games. So it's not like we're saying oh carson wentz and all of a sudden the super bowl contender for these first five and now. They're not now if he's out for more than the first five six weeks. Then i'm concerned. But i will say this frank reich. Who coach me back in twenty twelve when i was with the arizona cardinals. He's even he's steady. he's so even killed. We started off that year. Four and we lost a lot of games towards the end of the season but he never faltered never failed. We all remember back in nineteen ninety one of the greatest comebacks. Nfl history so well from a coaching perspective. I don't have as many concerns. i do understand. This is a quarterback centric league. I get that and so if carson wentz is out for more than six weeks of the regular season i'm concerned but those first four or five weeks a lot of us weren't picking india to win those games anyways. Jeff let me jump in here jeff. Here's the other thing with carson wentz. Obviously he had a rough time in philadelphia so he gets traded to india. And there's this aspect of trying to rebuild him not just physically mentally also in his head with what was going on so in that perspective. What do you think of this injury. And how does that affect the rebuilding of carson wentz mentally into a possible franchise quarterback now. It's a big deal right. His his i. His career has been littered with injuries as well right so when you're talking about him of the availability is the greatest ability in the nfl. Your quarterback to be there weekend and week out for that consistency and listen. I share sam's Feelings about frank. I played for frank for a number of years. So i know my love as a coach. I love chris. Ballard the general manager. But here's the bottom line players win football games and as good a coaches you have you gotta have the players and they did bring carson wentz in with the mindset. He was going to be a savior for this franchise. They understood. he's got some issues. They would not have brought him in if they didn't think he was the guy they would have written with jacob in and said hey he's going to be our future they did not say that they brought him in so they could go win in the playoffs. They had a chance to win against buffalo. They didn't succeed. When philip rivers retired day did bring carson winston to be the guy that that whole idea of the first five games. Let me tell you something. They believe they can win. All five of those games with carson wentz. They do not believe the same with jacobson. Rest assure. Whatever they say. That's the truth in that building and keep in mind. They have the toughest schedule in the nfl over those five weeks so that is going to make it really tough adam. I'll give you the last word on this. What of the colts thinking about their chances. With carson wentz at this point. Well here's the thing ryan. This has been a super bowl contending team that is not gotten super bowl. Type play from the quarterback and it goes back to andrew luck retiring. This is a team that was built to win the super bowl andrew lock it was built to compete with carson wentz this year and this is the third significant injury of course. What's his nfl career. And that's problematic and you hope he can be back and they do think he'll be back at some point here but this is got to be a blow for a team that won't have the quarterback at the very least going through drills with new teammates getting used to each other this summer right and a quarterback that has to get that confidence back in order to play like a couple years back. We'll see all right. It's been a dramatic off season for aaron rodgers and the packers culminating in rogers surprised returned to training camp last week. So rogers backers agreed to a rework deal and over the weekend..

"Twenty eight becomes a free agent again at the age of twenty nine. So he's put himself in a good position here for another pay. He deserved to be paid. The way to the browns edema a bargain to some of the running back deals evening our back at practice despite the fact that he wants to be trading or wants a new contract. He's a great player. The issue is he's got four years left on his contract and that's a problem for any player who wants a new deal dolphins. I'm sure talking to all long. Try and see if they could figure out something but again a new deal for a players tougher another team to give them tough for the dolphins to give him the saving. How not happy about being at this particular point in time and he ended up. Quarterback carson is expected to make a decision here in the short future about whether or not he will or will not have surgery on that foot the two sides the colts and went back and forth over the weekend about the right course of action about how to handle it and i was told later in the day after. They still had not made a decision. We're hoping to do so today. Will see what they decide and that will dictate of course how long he'll be out with the team plans a quarterback or there's a lot riding on that decision and the health of carson wentz for the remainder of this summer fans must be waiting with baited breath. Because that as you say that decision could come to day. And that could have a big impact on this franchise jeff. You told us before the show that you have some serious concerns about carson wentz injury absolutely listen to this thing hoping indefinitely not deciding on the surgery. I mean the bottom line for the colts is they really have two regular season games they play. Nfc teams that don't matter but carson wentz needs to be backed by week three like this whole season is predicated on carson. Wentz playing well for the indianapolis colts. They built a great football team around him. They're under the radar. This could be a true contender but again carson wentz has to be the starting hill. You think we three they play the titans who's in the division than they have baltimore. And the and the miami dolphins both are going to be playoff-caliber teens in the afc so they have got to get him back. They've gotta get him playing well and that has to be bi week. Three of my concern is the whole indefinite issue. Right as of of you know. How long can they get him back. They need to get him back sooner than later. If they have any shot for the season to be a success you know who else has got concern over the philadelphia eagles because remember they made that trade for carson wentz and if wentz takes at least seventy five percent of those snaps that second rounder that they were getting next year becomes the first rounder. So that could have big implications for them. Sam acho how do you share. Jeff concern over weapons being out if he in fact no matter whether he takes rehab or the surgical option..

I don't care. I mean jesus fuck. They need to fire their coach absolutely more. Here's here's what they gotta do. The guy is great with like personnel type deals like player like relationships. He's not a coach so they make him like a scout or somebody in the front office where he's still around. The players fucking phenomenal because the man is a great talker. He's great leader of men. He just can't set a fucking line up or coach hockey. Get what i'm saying he he just. He's office type of guy. Look good in the team. But he wouldn't be is not a head coach quality man. He just doesn't seem in president of hockey personnel. He'll be the one that's in between the gm and the owners but he's still around with the players. Exactly that's a fucking do. He's not a coach. He doesn't do coach things he just sits there. If you watch any of his press conferences it makes you want to blow your fucking head off all We didn't we didn't have a shot in the third but there was a. There's we had some good pressure. Fucking no you didn't. You didn't have a shot asshole. Yes why. I still zero no shot. That is absolutely insent. I can't how how actually believe that happens. A little bit more than you think. It would preposterous though that is ridiculous. It's better for our case. If we didn't say that. Oh i know but it never happened. Fucking scumbag is once every decade. Come.

"Philly eagles and seahawks and birds and other birds only one type heading south carson wentz again trying to prove a starter status again coming up short another interception adding to his league-leading totally was also six. Times is back backup. Jalen hurts saw just to blaze last night. We'll have much more on him in just a second but first eagles get the win. Here's carson winston after last night's loss to seattle. There's been a lot of talk and speculation. You possibly getting benched or something like that. I mean does that way on you at all. Do you think about that at all. And that occurred during the game. Any of that. Come up. i mean. I said that last week you know this is what you sign up for as a quarterback <hes> member. Since you're a kid you know you're prepared for for any of those nothing's ever guaranteed and so for me i. I don't think about that though. I just try and go out and be the best player. I can be in practice. Prepare my tail off. Compete my tail off and <hes>. You know hopefully we can get this thing turned around but <hes>. I think about those things. I might give it everything i got every time i step on the field. I think i said the eagles went. Obviously the seahawks won there and carson wentz with the barrage of questions about his plane time plane status plane brandon start with you did carson wentz play well enough to keep his starting job moving forward. Well i mean i hell. Mary was nice. i mean how. How often do we see that at all. He but outside of that. Mary no he. He didn't play well. The coaches the coach. Well defense didn't play well enough. This is one of those years. Nick where everybody needs to be on notice when you play like this and miss division everyone should be on notice and then you can go back to last couple years outside of their super bowl. Run it's always been a struggle for this organization. If i'm the owner. I am looking at everything. I'm looking at the general managers there's other gaps. There's other holes on this team is not just carson wentz. it's also the linebacking core and it's not that the linebacking core isn't playing. Well they're just not very good they don't have any debt so with that mind like you gotta talk about. Who's making those decisions. And you got to hold them accountable. So this entire organization. Mic should be on notice at listen. I think might garafolo is the one who reported this morning that he can no longer report. That doug peterson is totally save. Despite being just three years removed from actually winning a super bowl something carson wentz is not able to say. He did what that means for our rose. One of the front office will see. And you're right brandon. This is a team that has a multitude of issues but their biggest issue is this in twenty twenty the worst starting quarterback in football now. That's not a statement of opinion. That's just if according to the numbers we can show them. The worst fulltime starting quarterback in the nfl is carson wentz and the spat back that up one hundred percent. He's thirty fifth worse in everything. And there's only thirty two teams folks and he is a turnover machine he runs into sacks he doesn't make the big throws anymore. There's been one game all year long that he didn't turn the ball over and in that game. He fumbled twice. They just happened to recover them so it does feel however wildlife carson wentz might be the one with the most job security because of the contract. He's been signed to based on performance. You have a twenty eight a guy that's going to be twenty eight this month. He's in year five and he's playing the worst football of his career. That is more than a sign for his future. But do you think that's all of his fault nick. Because morning i wake up. And i make a little menu and i called my my kitchen. Where do my work hot take cafe and on today's menu. Here's what we had. You can make your choice. Everyone you can have bad coaching with a side of bad. Play design you can have bad decision. Making with a side of bad throws you could have bad wide receivers and bad protection. Those your options at the take cafe for me. I want went bad protection. I went with the six acts. We're not his fault. The league leading forty six x also. Not his fault he also had some throwaways there and i was watching the game last night neck and i was like oh the one when he was chased out of the pocket to avoid an intentional grounding. He threw it to the first down. Even though it came up short i was like. Oh that's a. That's a good play. That's a quarterback you can build around. I'm like what what is happening. I'm calling a throw to save even intentional grounding a good play and he could say like. I don't put it on the offensive line. Louis riddick mentioned it last night when they went to the super bowl best offensive line surprise surprise. Takeout carson wentz put. Nick foles doesn't matter to me. It starts with the offensive line. I know there's a lot of side dishes but it's an offensive line thing for me.

"Year. But one hundred percent covid-19. The basic fundamentals of football and that's why the Cowboys defense has been so so bad against the Run. Now so the Eagles beat the Cowboys and it wasn't really pretty they're actually losing 9 to 7 and half time. But against Dallas Carson Wentz had four turnovers two fumbles and two And a lot of lessons can be learned from Carson Wentz failures. The biggest lesson in my opinion is basically that Carson Wentz is trying to do way too much. He's trying to be Superman song and the Eagles have been hit by a ton of injuries. You know, I think Carson Wentz is trying to compensate to make up for it. You know, okay, we may not have the guy we need there and there and there but I'm going to put the trash my back and carry us to compensate for all the losses. He's holding onto the ball way too long. He's making risky throws. He's forcing throws into coverage and I often relate playing quarterback to being a race car driver do that all the time. And you know the offense and the system the play-calling I call that the race car and therefore the quarterback is the driver. And the problem is right. Now the Eagles offense is not a sports car. They're more like an old beat-up junker car so you can have a race car driver, but he's driving a horrible car. That's not actually a race cars. And Carson Wentz hates losing his very very competitive and his fear is that if I just do my job and do it. Normally I'm not going to able to help my team enough to win football games. And so Carson's competitive nature is part of the problem right now in Philadelphia, but Carson needs to realize you can't add two and be part of the Eagles problems on offense. Okay, you're missing a guy you're he ran the route. He this he did that seat of that. You can't compound a mistake with your own mistake and add to the problem. So Carson Wentz just needs to execute and do his job. Do your job execute the offense. I would say drive the car down the road your job as a quarterback. You're you're in charge of this really you're driving this incredible nice sports car club drive the car down the road do the little things execute. But the problem is Carson doesn't trust anybody around him and he doesn't trust the system run doesn't trust the play-calling and so of course and whence ever gets benched two things will have happened. Number one..

They will be everybody L. Soccer's kind of uniquely built to deal with a pandemic. You're not touching the ball. The only person touches it. The goal got gloves. There's mostly a separation of players you're not on each other very often, and let's be honest about the virus. It appears if you're outside playing in warm weather. Unless you're joined together. It's hard to get the virus mls to me works. It works really quickly They're going to have like a round robin style a World Cup style down in Orlando I think it is I think it's GonNa. Be Fascinating to watch, and it's their chance for two to three weeks to get all this love from the media. We will talk about it. We will watch it I think it's very good for them. Coming up in forty minutes. Joy Taylor's joining me Joe. How are you gone doing good so? I saw this. You Know Fox bet putting this out. The values of quarterbacks above their a replacement level backup. We were talking about cabinet, backing up and that stuff, so the average backup in the NFL and I don't know who the average backup is I think markets Mariota's is way above average Andy. Dalton's above average Jameis Winston way above average backup. Gino Smith Seattle. Is that kind of start? Yeah, that's about that's. About average. He always has a job, but the pretty average so Gina Smith. How many points are players worth above kind of average backup quarterback? So the top guys pretty obvious mahomes Russell Wilson Breeze Rogers Matt Ryan Lamar Jackson, all touchdown or more now makes sense. To the Middle Mill Guy I'm not going to give you all them. Let's go to the middle guys. Kirk cousins, Golf Mayfield Derek Carr Josh Allen about half that for four and a half points, and let's go to the very bottom. The last guy. Jarrett's did a minus four and a half. I, know we love football coaches. But new. England is GONNA have to come to terms with this. It's a six ten football season. That's what you're gonNA half, I want you to think about this. Bill Walsh. Is considered the smartest offensive guy. Ever. Before Joe Montana was given the franchise, he was six and eighteen with the niners. They couldn't score. Joe Montana was the catalyst for all that. Chuck Knoll when I was a growing up in the seventy S. he was the great coach in the twenty games he coached before Terry Bradshaw was the quarterback he was wanted a bunch of super. Bowls Bradshaw then bradshaw left. He never won ten games again. Eight years to play offs sneaks in. Pete, Carroll before Russell Wilson, fired twice in his record was below five hundred. Okay? Do Bill Belichick Cleveland new. England before Brady took over. Forty one in fifty seven. We'll get this right the quarter. The player I know we love our coaches I. Get it. I! We love coaches. into coach coach manners Andy Reed's great the catalyst. Out there, saying for years Andy Reid was overrated. Nobody says that anymore. Why did he change her to get Patrick Mahomes? John. Harbaugh was almost fired two years ago. Now. It's like joined like maybe the second best coach in the League we, we get smarter. We get Lamar. Jackson Folks Gregg Popovich. The year before Tim, Duncan was seventeen and forty-seven. But Doc rivers was fired by the Orlando Magic. Was Twenty four and fifty eight in Boston he was dreadful. He was going to get fired again and then a thing called Ray Allen and Keiji happened. I know we love our coaches New England's not going to be any good. They the lowest rated quarterback they got. The divisions better. Buffalo's a real football team. I think Miami the jets are better than people think especially Miami. Come to terms, with this. People! In Vegas and they don't. They build big casinos based on being right more than wrong them as the lowest rated quarterback in the league. And I'm a Patriot homer right I'm Mr Patriot. Let's go to this, so I saw one of those bloggers out there. I think this is the big lead. Finally America's coming to us as I. said yesterday I was the first sports that said four years ago. At eight Richard Sherman is not lead to doom. It's not Pete Carroll. It's not marshawn Lynch. Russell Wilson is the game changer here. Took people a long time and now in the last year. The rest of you the Peter Kings. The the media traditional media people are like. Guys like wildly underrated. It's my life. The burden of brilliant, so the big lead pointed out something that I don't even give Carson Wentz credit because I don't really I. Don't think interceptions are that nobody wants them, but I want my quarterback to let her rip. Ally manning throws picks a peyton manning's who pigs brees through picks matt. Ryan does picks I'm not Andrew lucked to a bunch of picks the bottom line if you WANNA game in twenty nine attempts. I'm okay with it as long as you don't throw it. Deep in your own territory, it can be a punt on certain I. Don't think I. Don't think interceptions define the great quarterbacks Nemeth. Bradshaw Aikman they'll throw him. But. They came up with this stat. Carson doesn't throw picks. In Twenty nineteen wins became the first quarterback in league history. History? To throw twenty or more touchdowns in seven or fewer picks in three straight seasons, it never been done even by Aaron Rodgers. And I say that because Aaron Rodgers is considered the quarterback who doesn't throw picks, and is one of the only quarterback league that throws fewer picks and Carson. Wentz, so let's use rogers an example. If you think Carson Wentz overrated last three years, I take out the rookie year for quarterbacks. Whence has Aaron beat in record touchdowns, completion, percentage, passer, rating, and Rogers has better star receiver better star running back. They both had offensive minded coaches, so that to me is awash. Here's the reality of quarterbacks and this is the way we do it. There's four boxes you gotTA. Check and if you don't get to that last one, we kind of roll our eyes. The four boxes are the talent box. Whence has clearly checked it. Just just watch him play. Watch him at the end of last year. Working with nothing got into the playoffs. There's the stats box well. He's done that eighty-one touchdowns twenty one picks last. Three years the winning box. Can you get your team to the playoffs? Last year's another example, yes, and then there's a super bowl box and he hasn't check that one. But outside of Mahomes, tell me guy plan in this league at quarterback, four years or fewer. WHO's checked all four? There's one there's one is patrick homes the talent. The stats. The lead you to the playoffs and the Super Bowl. That's it no other quarterback last four years except mahomes checks. We like Lamar Jackson Never WanNA playoff game. So! I like to Shawn Watson the Shawn Watson with great receivers last year through for thirty eight hundred yards, twenty sixty s. And I and I like Watson went is better. I told you before. You guys can argue for twenty. Three quarterbacks today in the NFL League Franchise Mahomes. One Wilson two wins three. You can argue over the rest. I think he's. Again just like Russell Wilson. You're going to come groveling back into. Apologize to me. This is what's going to happen. What happened eventually apologized? You were so mean to me on Andrew Luck. been eventually everybody apologize Russell Wilson and he just. It's going to be about a year from now on. You're all going to apologize, but you're gonNA. "I mean, I don't really think. So if they already had a plan to I think, you know, they're there. This report isn't going to change anything. I think if anything if it does teen something it puts more pressure on Carson Wentz to deliver in two thousand nineteen. But the reality is it wasn't like there was ever no pressure on him to perform next season. Because he even admitted it after this year where you look out Nick foles has performed over these past couple of seasons in relief of Carson Wentz and having won the Super Bowl then having helped. Guide the team to the divisional round this year. Carson Wentz admitted that does put pressure on him, and he doesn't need to step up. And he knows he needs to be better in two thousand nineteen and if he's really committed to that you would hope that he he knows maybe that he has to yield some control in some areas, and he needs to do whatever it takes. And that always might not be his idea to to get to where he needs to be. So that's where it all kind of comes down to for me. That's the bottom line as stone cold Steve Austin would say he needs to play better next year. That's just the bottom line. And I think there's reason to believe he will again, he's getting a full off-season assuming he can stay healthy, which is something he needs to prove. He's going have time to work on his game. And I think that's important because last year he didn't have that. He just he was rehabbing all the time. He did not participate in OT as or the, you know, the voluntary spring drills at all. And then. And training camp. He was really only limited because the kind of pulled him from the the eleven on eleven stuff. He was doing some seven on seven stuff, but he was limited in training camp and a good portion of it to and he didn't play in the preseason at all clearly and then he he missed the first two weeks of the regular season. So it was a long off season for Carson Wentz of really not necessarily being able to hone his craft and work on it as much as he probably would have liked to and probably would have helped the eagles as much as he could have. So I think that's what ultimately comes down to. If that's my biggest takeaway from this report is that nothing is really changed in the grand scheme of things. He just he needs to play better. He I think he needs to mature both as a player and a person, and I think that could come with time. So I think there's reason to be optimistic about that. So I think it's just important to keep all this in perspective. And maybe this ends up being a blip on the radar alternately. Maybe we kind of look at back of this report and think nothing really came of that. And it really ultimately didn't matter because Carson wins found a way to get back on his game and played a super high level. Like we saw that he was capable of doing back during the two thousand seventeen season when he was almost the league's MVP and he had eagles in a really good position to set them up for that Super Bowl. They would eventually go on to win without him. So that's the hope and all this. The hope is that this isn't really a big issue. And that the, you know, the players, and the coaches, and they can all get on the same page and everything will work out to the point where it's not perfect. It's not going to be all roses and sunflowers. It's just unrealistic to think that environment exist really at all in especially in any team. But I think we've seen enough evidence in my opinion that this can work out alternately. I don't think it's to the point where Carson winces is such a cancer or he's that's a divisive figure in the locker room where this situation is untenable and eagles will never have any success in the future. I if that's your takeaway. I just think that's way too dramatic. And I think it's wrong. Now, again, I'm not trying to downplay this entirely and saying it's not any kind of issue, and it's all meet up because I I don't believe that. I believe it's more than a non issue..

"On Monday. January twenty first we still haven't heard from al-sham Jeffrey or Nelson, Azure, or really any of the current receivers on the team or any of the running backs on the team. So is that meaningful is not. I don't know. But I think that's something to maybe consider when you're looking at where this report could be coming from who's unhappy with Carson wins. And again, just something to think about so what does this all mean? Ultimately, is it a good thing? I think if you want to spend it that way could be could be that Carson Wentz sees this criticism from his teammates he realizes he could be doing something better. So that this kind of situation doesn't happen on the flip side it could just anger Carson Wentz. And he could feel like he doesn't trust his teammates. And then create some kind of riff from the locker rooms that would certainly not be a good thing. But in Joe's reporting on the Philly voice, it even said that some players, you know, again did want this to kinda get out in a way where I think maybe they felt like they couldn't talk to Carson Wentz directly, which is kind of sad and annoying. But maybe they were kind of afraid of the repercussions of it that if they did talk to him they would kind of see even less playing time or they would get cut or something. So that's not a good thing. But ultimately again, if you're being the optimist if. You're being hopeful about this. And and hoping for the best for both Carson Wentz. And the team in those two things certainly seem to be connected that Carson Wentz can learn from this criticism that's out there and hopefully apply it to the future. And again when I'm talking about that maturity and the composure and just you know, how he is perceived. I think maybe there is some kind of learning listen to be had here. If this information is true or not I think it kind of gives Carson an opportunity to self reflect and ask himself like is he doing the best he can to kind of, you know, be the best teammate and be the best quarterback and do everything he can does he need to yield some of his control in some certain certain situations. That's not to say, you should never be aggressive and to never speak up, and basically like Jared Goff and just have your coach, you know, call all the plays for you. And your kind of just through dummy nothing has to be to that extreme. But I think it can be where you know, there could be some better communication on both sides about what players, and what the coaches want, and what's expected and just more open, honest dialogue where both sides can kind of rectify things. And it doesn't have to come to a boiling point where it comes out in the media like you has clearly to this point. So that's the hope that's what you're hoping for in the situation. And maybe that's unrealistic. Because maybe Carson Lynch, you know, I think it's fair to say, we all know he is a strong personality. I don't know. It's completely fair to to use the words and kind of paint it out as wasn't this report. But it was so some people some sources clearly feel that way. And that's. How it is. So now, what does this mean for the eagles? What does this mean for the future? I think that's kind of what where my mind always goes to the what's the what's the bottom line here. What does this really impact? And to me, it doesn't take much because what changes all of a sudden like are the moving on from Carson Wentz where he talked about it. No, they're not does it make them hesitant to give him a contract extension this off season..

"I think all I did a good job of kind of breaking down the running different offense who had Nick foles. And I think that's something that gets talked about in this Philly voice report, how it was a different offense and some players some sources felt like I don't know if they're players, but some sources felt like offense was being run with through Nick foles as opposed to you know, Nichols. Having all this control over it. Like Carson Wentz had wanted to have control over it. Now, one of the things in that report that I thought was kind of unfair was about how it said every time Carson Wentz would have input there'd be an interception or a sack and every time. He just followed. What the coaches do it always worked out? I mean, that's kind of just that's a little pretty unfair to me that to say into suggest that like Carson Wentz was just the the bad guy, and the coaches were fine. And I don't know does that. Kind of give you. Perspective or information on who the sources could be. If it's saying the coaches, we're never to blame. I don't know just kind of thinking out loud here. It's a lot of this podcast is about just giving you some my thoughts on the situation. But obviously we've heard some rebuttal on this Carson Wentz. Scathing report that came out from some of his teammates, we saw Fletcher Cox immediately jump out to his defense. Now, I think it's a little interesting or it's no it's worth noting Frederick is in those offense of meetings. Sees he's a defensive captain. And he's a clearly one of the best players on the team. So I'm not saying is word means nothing here. I'm just saying you have to consider that. But then Bernie Brookes who is on the side of the ball, certainly came out and support, of course, when sodas Zakar it's so did lane Johnson so to Torrey Smith who's no longer on the team, but certainly in the wide receiver room last year sort of Nate Sud Velde who works in the same quarterback room. With Carson Wentz and shoot. Obviously have a good feel for him given the amount of time. They spend together and decent. Kelsey also gave a lengthy statement. Those are all up on bleeding greenish dot com. If you want to read them, so we're seeing players support. Carson Winston, look, it's obviously not like they're going to come out and say, you know, all the report is true in rip him like death never going to happen. So what makes it interesting to me? Then is an might be more telling is who hasn't spoken out and favor of Carson Wentz. And as I am recording this on three oh two pm.

"Anyway. And I'm not saying this report is necessarily being unfair in the sense that I think it is sourced. And I think Joe, you know, he he obviously did talk to these people with information. But I think how we perceive. This information can be taken a little bit out of context. And I think it can. Be extrapolated to to maybe give more weight to it than it actually deserves in the sense of. I don't think because this report comes out means that eagles are doomed at quarterback forever. And I think that's your takeaway. I just think that's a little too harsh. Now, I'm not saying it's not concerning at all. By just think there's always room for somewhere in between the the doomsday scenario and everything is fine. And I think that's kind of where the story lies lies in between. Everything is fine. And this is a real issue. It's somewhere in between those two things now. Something I've talked about a lot and something I think is the crux of this. Carson Wentz story considering seems to be a lot about his attitude and how he is perceived is character all those kind of things. And by the way, the report does say a lot of his teammates. A lot of sources feel like Carson wins is a very hard working intelligent all the kind of adjectives. We've heard about him and things we just know about him to be true based on the work ethic. We've seen those things are true. It's not like, you know, this report is saying that he's just the worst person in lazy. And no, that's not what this report is saying, you know, you have to actually read the report in and understand like for you know, as much as there is going to be Carson Wentz criticism in this report that also does give him credit in some areas and one thing getting that to are saying though about the crux of this being about Carson Wentz, his personality and. The way he's being perceived as that I just don't think Carson wins is necessarily mature as he could. Ideally be in. Now, I've talked about this before I mentioned this. I believe radio thirty one a couple of weeks ago. Maybe even as recently as the recent the last episode we did here where I and this is something I've been thinking about for a while now..

"Up the put up a hard fight against the saints. But ultimately, they fell short, and we all know the restrictions along the way in the two thousand eighteen season. So it's only natural that these kind of things are going to come out. I think that's something you have to consider. I don't think it's like, you know, the eagles are the only dysfunctional team in the NFL if you're framing it that way. It's just not the case also think that arson wins certainly isn't Hilmi quarterback in the NFL who's ever had a story. Like this written about them. I'm sure you can find already mentioned the Tom Brady thing. I'm sure you can find ones for Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers and number of quarterbacks in this league. I think you can always spin certain qualities as positive or negative. You could say Carson Wentz is a control freak he wants to control everything or you could say Carson Wentz. You know, has a strong ideas about what he wants to do and he wants to be involved. So it's all about how you frame things. And how you spin it as well. So I think it's always the point being there. Why I'm saying this is it's important to consider biases in perspective on both sides on all sides into knowledge. Those and to kinda, you know, just so we're we're being fair inaccurate all around so. Another thing. I wanna say coming out of all this is that none of this changes. Carson Wentz is standing in my opinion with the franchise. I mean Doug Peterson said it last week that he is the team's franchise quarterback. Just because report this comes out does not mean all of a sudden the user keeping Nick foles and getting ready Carson Wentz. That is not what's going to happen here. It's just not the if these issues in the story did exist do exist. I'm sure that you have to have some level of awareness about them. And I think they would know that before they would come out and say Carson Wentz is their franchise quarterback. So just wanted to say it, I don't think really anyone is doubting that. But in case, you are it doesn't really change anything in that perspective that arsons is this team funk term enter now. Because that very fact is true. I also think it's important to note that Carson Wentz not some bum. I I don't know why. I mean, I guess I do know why? And it's because. Nick foles has success. And Carson Wentz had some struggles. All the sudden Carson Wentz sucks. But I think people have been way too hard on Carson as a player. Let's leave the off the field stuff aside. Just for a second talking about Carson Wentz the player, and this is something I had talked about in BGN radio episode thirty two John Stolnis that I just feel like Carson went to gain too much hate, you know, you look at how he had a better passer rating then Jared Goff Tom Brady, both those bags are in the Super Bowl this year, by the way, Andrew luck Dak Prescott Aaron Rodgers two thousand eighteen among other players. And I'm not saying passer rating is the perfect stat. I think a big issue with it. In fact, wins is it doesn't account for fumbles which have been an issue for him. But the point is that you can't have a better passer rating than all those guys and be a complete bum. You just not how it works. I know Carson was not perfect in two thousand eighteen and you have to consider by the way, not only did he have. A better pass ratings than all those guys. But he was also doing it with a fracture in his back and coming off two major injuries in his knee with a tornado CEO and a tour Elsie. Oh, so I think it's just important to put all the context and now to be fair to Joe and his story from Philly voice. They knowledge all that. So they included that in there. But I just felt the need to reiterate it because I think people are a little bit two months down on Carson Wentz. And that's part of why the story from the Phillies is frustrating as an eagles fan as a went Carson Wentz supporter because it just feels like it's more ammo for the people who are kind of being a little bit unfair to him..
