How Zamboni Driver Helped Carolina Hurricanes Win Big Game
"We can't begin the show without talking about the biggest story to hit hockey since what out. Foster Scott Foster. Probably the Glorious Song I don't know so. What was the last hockey story to get on the today? Show Leyla Anderson. Probably and you know what's interesting about it to me. I mentioned Scott Foster. Is that happened two years ago and one of the more interesting things the way he handled in the blackhawks handle is he got all these requests. He was asked to go on Jimmy Kimmel and the Today Show People magazine. And he turned it all down because he wanted to be about the franchise throat. Meanwhile Dave Ayers technically property of the Carolina Hurricanes Right now. We know they don't say Tom. I'm going to rename top golf. Airs Ball David Errors. Of course is the forty two year old goalie from Whitby Ontario pro previously experienced in the Allan Cup Hockey League where he played for the Norwood Vipers. For Eight Games He was the is the Zamboni Goal Zamboni driver for the Toronto Police H. L. Affiliate the Toronto Marlies He became just the third emergency goaltender in the modern era to play in the NHL when he went out and played for the Carolina Hurricanes against the Toronto Maple leafs on Saturday evening the marlies Zamboni driver playing for the enemy and You know he beat the leafs as everybody knows but are you surprised that the like the hurricanes if there was any team in the league where I was like. This is a team that could play that. Well in front of Amateur goaltender like maybe Dallas would be the number one. Maybe the islanders would be just by the systems they play but Carolina basically saying you. Don't get the PUCK ANYMORE TO THE TORONTO. Maple leafs was something. That was entirely predictable in this. In this scenario my opinion I don't think the hurricanes got enough credit for this guy getting the win one hundred even like after the Game Rod. Rod brindamour comes into the locker room. Talk about how the team played in front of that guy for that guy. Four David eyres eight. Which is an incredible thing. And you know what I was just talking about. Who Remembering when his team had a goalie. That didn't show up. She showed up late so they they had to play six on five. Like we couldn't score a goal on the empty night. Even I mean it's amazing. How the mind works how. The effort level works in that Carolina Hurricanes team. You can't say enough about. I Mean David. Eyres only had eight eight eight saves on ten shots. I mean you know you put a lot of guys in the net with a a modicum of of skill In the position and have that performance in front of them. They're going to have some success so all the credit to him for stepping in there and getting in front of pox but man that I mean Jake Gardner was just laying out out there. I mean it was unbelievable to watch imagine if Michael Hutchinson head that Michael Hutchinson now property of the Colorado Avalanche. Because of course we're going to talk about the trade deadline. But you know I think the reason why this story resonates with so many people is that in the little child and all of us. It's the dream of a fairytale at forty two years old. He's the second oldest player ever to make his. Nhl Debut. And I guess just to put a tie on this as we get into the trade deadline talk. Think BACK TO MEETING SCOTT. Foster one year after his big day where he was the accountant. Ben Saved what was it? Fourteen minutes of scoreless hockey for the Chicago Blackhawks against the then mighty would peg jets and you know he didn't do any interviews for a year and he said at one point. I called it the incident and I had to tell myself just because you take advantage of an opportunity doesn't mean you can enjoy it so I'm just glad that day there is enjoying and enduring with all of us because we all seem to be enjoying it
Zamboni driver leads Carolina to victory over Maple Leafs
"Forty two year old goalie or I should say Zamboni driver turned goalie David Ayers well we came to the rescue last night for the Carolina hurricanes as they were taking on Toronto yep he drives a Zamboni but they were down there starting and backup goalie so enter the forty two year old who was the third emergency goalie to play in the NHL and the oldest and also the first actually win a game there is after the contest about his once in a lifetime moment it's going to be good to go home and kind of relax and take my Jersey within probably hang up somewhere and look at it every day now he has a T. shirt with his number ninety on it being sold on Carolina pro shop dot com as the hurricanes website is going to sell this teacher to benefit the kidney foundation because Ayers had a kidney replacement fifteen years ago which he thought would end his hockey career until last night of course he's also gonna receive some royalties from sales of the merchandise but a real feel good story for this forty

"I mean Boston is not popular in Saint Louis I should know. The gatekeeper for good times. Drink, but they won't give you the caq to celebrate web. So I mean even go back to Saint Louis off and the Boston Celtics hawks feed, and one topic feed him twice and yet. Gift the cardinals to the Red Sox have been kind of Boston's in the way it's going to be hard. Look the Bruins, I mean they just like bay the Carolina Hurricanes and after my four game. So it's not gonna be easy really, you know it should be. They make you aren't it. Yeah. And look, this is a lot of fun. When you've got die hard hockey market's going after it in competing against each other in the game day atmospheres at enterprise center and TD garden are going to be electric with the series. Are you guys annoyed though 'cause I am this series doesn't start on Monday. I I thought it was right off the top half. Okay. It's kinda starts Saturday give a couple of days off. Then they go at it, but then like, and then I heard Jay Schwartz gone ready for Monday when you get ready for Monday finish this off. So I don't like all that. Like I'm not saying I mean playing my one year high school hockey until you how strenuous it is. You know, these guys I can't imagine. They want to rest up too long. But I guess they wanted more hype take an extra day for travel, so I guess they're trying to sex this thing out the NHL playoffs. They take almost the entirety of spring. Yeah, it's really long. And how I mean the new the layoff is going to be the big story in game one for Boston. They're at home mind, you, but they'll be offered ten days by the time eleven days by the time this series gets going. How big of a factor that being game one. Do you think? With the blues having a decent my time off. Boston. I don't know as much as condoling fan base baby. Somebody's get healthy knows your guy Charro whose largest fan, the world can get a little healthier, the blues have some guys that are banged up. So maybe it's a little frustrating for a fan and I want to get back into it, but it maybe at these guys have been playing since the timber regular season game since October, just to get a week off because I think that maybe they get the mice on there. They don't think about okay? I got a game tomorrow. So maybe for the players. It's actually good. He might be a little bit more fresh pop in their state. Then Buffa SP nations sites in Los gametime. Joining us here on pushing the Stanley Cup finals, the blues and the Bruins special teams are always really really important. It's incredibly unlikely it's incredibly shocking that this blues team is sitting here in the Cup finals after where they were in November and how bad they were in November, what's been the key here for Saint Louis. What was the biggest turnaround? It really was header shaking up the entire making the team. It's no secret to say that Craig ruby taking over really got the team to connect because they seem to list of this guy he even when he tells them about the hand pants and game three against the sharks. He said, don't worry by to talk about it. Just keep your eyes moving forward. I heard. He treats these guys like hockey players. Don't try to them like their own son. I mean he it's a very business man work ethic, and also Jordan Bennington in that, when you have a guy like that, who you know, is gonna make the stops. He feel a game for you. That makes all the world of difference, but also the line. I mean, all of a sudden, you have a wine with Ivan Barbara and Oscar so quick given double digit goal. You have Alex team going down to the fourth line because that's what the team needed. So a lot of soap with behavior. But also just a lot of contribution. From every end of the roster. Who has the advantage in net to caress? Ask or Beddington given the fact to played in a couple of different cups now but I mean with how hot Saint Louis has been with their goaltender who gets the edge in that department. I love Bennington do to carafe is just one of those guys who's doing it. I level and ill Bennington. He I sorta guys got ice cold vinegar going through his veins, because he doesn't have any emotion. It's a really close call. That was the one advantage. Look blue's. Head over the sharks was Martin Jones door. They're as good as Bennington carafe can even the backup look. I'm in Hawaii, what he's doing in the backup for Boston. It's great. So when it comes to one guy much of anything to corral is start. How did they overcome the hand pass because look here in Vegas? We saw one of the most gracious, five minute major calls in NFL playoff history. Go ahead and send an Saint Louis on a really rough offsides. Call benefited the sharks and then again, the hand pass that was missed. How was the team able to overcome that where the other two previous opponents could not? I think this really comes in and people try to really measure the work of the head coach. But this is where I think, guy like that. Who doesn't go in there and this redirect a player's mind, especially the young guys who are probably however colleges by hot item, Barbara chev- by hot is that look you know, they're not going to change their decision. So all, you know, you're down to one. You're not down three to one. You know, I think the biggest message told them was just don't talk about the media don't make an excuse kinda let it own. You mean if you let it go, what's the reason we lost the game? You know completely own your. So I think it's all about groovy really just knowing how to connect with these players. I, I don't think might go could and that triggered his downfall. A twelve to run happened by the blues after the hand passing indicative. What you're talking about that. The put that behind them and go and just run roughshod over the sharks. Because really, right. Then and there if you're a Saint Louis fan, you're thinking, man, here we go, you know, that's going to be at the that the walls are gonna come caving in, but they didn't. They went over to San Jose. And they just they, they barely out the next very close game two to one. And then they come back today, just seem to five nothing. I mean that came I was watching that game. It was surreal because usually other teams get inside the blues head in the playoffs, and there's in the last ten to fifteen years pretty much since nineteen seventy theories. But now the blues were in the sharks head, and that was just wild and crazy thing and they had them wherever they want it. So I think it's just a termination is having that mental focus that it's hard to measure, but somehow this team and it starts with Bennington and continues with ruby just how to do it. David Perron was on the. Geico nights last year. When Vegas had an unbelievable run much like Saint Louis got to the files and ran into an Eastern Conference team that played a different brand of hockey more physical brands of hockey with an outstanding superstar in Alexander. Ovechkin. How does having Peron on this team scored the first goal last night for Saint Louis in their five one victory. But how does how beneficial is it to have a guy who played the Cup finals last year on the roster? Any any experience. I always, and that's why one of the reasons why you know Rask as the guy that I fear he's been there. I mean these guys if you tasted that the only Cup final air that pressure that, you know, that unmistakable urgency it gives you an advantage. And the fact that they've improv is played in an atmosphere before it's a big deal. And I think he's pitted me of, of the blues debt. He's the guy that can take over a game or eating disappear for a game. You take it back. I know the anything all of a sudden put a puck in the net on the second or third wind and just be really in a bowl over the ice. So he he's kind of a playmaker. And he's also any experience that you get the Stanley Cup finals of this data. Well, then if that's the case you must be, I'm gonna Sumer checking Boston given the fact that Boston's got a core group that's played in two Cup finals was Dana chara, Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand. Going as well as to carafe. So get your prediction who wins the Cup? I, I wanna words are because I think it's going to go seven game. But my I, I will say that my my, my heart is with the blues, I think that they can shrug off any adversity team like Boston. That's one so many games in a row. And but I think if I had to bet the Bruins are just top. I do think the blues are going to push in the seven games. But if I had to bet and blues fans are gonna hate me for this. I'm just being honest, but I mean, the Bruins are scary team. And they have just been dusting off teams in the playoffs, but it would be just like me. Hey, I kinda kinda blues out January when they're kind of into dumb. So. Say what the heck does he know, but I want to say my heart's with the blues instead of my brain with the Bruin and set advise, you think it's going to be very entertaining theory. "Jeweler of the Carolina Hurricanes. The most often lie told about millionaires is that everyone knows that the only way you can get ahead in America is doing, Eric your money. Well, everyone knows except the people who have the money and they don't seem to know that because as we interviewed them, ten thousand one hundred and sixty five millionaires we found that seventy nine percent of them had an herited zero only five percent had inherited up to one hundred thousand dollars between one hundred and two hundred another five percent had inherited that much and got it, so late, or after they were already millionaires that it was mathematically implausible for them to become millionaires because of an inheritance, so seventy nine five and five would be eighty nine percent. That is nine out of ten millionaires in America confirmed by airtight research, the largest study ever done on millionaires did not become millionaires because of an inheritance. And yet, we still have people that don't want to hear that every day. Yeah. They still don't want to. Okay. And do you all do giving as a family? Oh, yes, sir. Okay. What kind of giving do you all do? We got some carries that we like to support. I like the Kipp Meg whenever I eat out, it's, it's nice to see those smiles on their faces when you give them something more than what they just serve and tell me this throughout your career. What, what's your biggest financial mistake you all made in this journey? I'm not sure that, you know what if it's been a slow and steady saying, I'm not sure that I mean, we should have invested more early on should have known more about money early on. But, you know, you nobody really do stuff. Yeah. Talk to you. Doorway had one hundred ninety five thousand in my one. One. In two hundred and sixty over ten years and back brings network on that one point two million. And you make the money. Okay. So you're, you're talking to a fifty two year old that thinks they're way behind. And you just told them they can still end up with a couple million dollar net worth. Yeah. Very cool. So keep investing you can't jump out of the market because you get out a little bit of mine opportunity. So you never jumped out in the last ten years you jumped in you jumped in state. On every chance I got every race. But I got a portion of that night up my, my contribution. Dan, what caused you to get more intense over that ten year period? I'm not sure I'm a very intense guy. I just keep plugging away. I think you just gotta be slow and steady. But you went from a you know, low investing level to really cranked it up. What caused you to crank it up? Well, I never changed my lifestyle, whenever I got extra money. I just put more into my payroll deductions. I've had my phone one. Okay. So there's a there's, there's a young young person out there driving a FedEx truck right now listening to this show at this moment in their twenty seven years old. Can they still do this? Oh, yeah. Everybody that I hired. I told him you say here, you're gonna give you invest in yourself and you'll be a millionaire. Okay. So it's still done, and you did it largely with your retirement of your one point six one point two is in your retirement, where to go where to go. Very, very cool. Well, congratulations are very proud of you. Excellent. Excellent job. All right. Virgil is with us in pushed the wrong button. Where are you Virgil? There you are in Tacoma, Washington. Hey, virgil. What's your net worth about one point six to break that down for me? Well a lot of it. I don't have a whole lot in the 4._0._1._K. Oh, that I get three hundred fifty cash in other stuff here near about one point two in real estate. Okay. Fires. I owned duplexes and stuff in the military town. So got you always full. You know, most of yours as real estate and cash cool. How old are you, fifty fifty nine two days? Okay. Cool. And how much of this one point six, did you inherit? Two hundred thousand win. What's a year ago? Okay. So you were already a millionaire. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So you're not a millionaire because of an edited money, but it added to it so far. And so what was your worst year of income, and your best year of income in your working life? Oh, wow. Probably about eleven thousand dollars when I just had a school, and then about close to three hundred when oil industry is going pretty good income. What was your career or in the oil industry? I must see captain. So Joe Royle drilling business on much immersive bills and drill ships drilling. An eight thousand feet of water. Thirty five thousand feet two years. Wow. Very cool, very cool. You got a four year degree. You got a four year degree. Well, I've got four year degree from Richmond, academy, and three masters degrees. You know. Wow. When the downturn happened in two thousand fifteen and went back to school and got a master site leadership,.

"Selling season ticket pow like packages and touting Joe Thornton as like the hot new rookie and stuff like that. And he's still fucking there with a. Yeah. And he's like the best story to root for just because he's never wanna Stanley Cup. And he he's earned it. He deserves that looks like he's been on a castaway on an island for like nine years with be hurt. It's just and it's like grey to. That's the kind of like sad thing about it. Missed. It's like a great beard, but like you can see like the flex of gray. And just outstanding. Just okay. So of these eight are the sharks. Who are they the one I ought to root for to win at all show refer to win at all. I love the Carolina Hurricanes. I don't have a lot of like per. Personal connection to them. But I think they are team that I would really enjoy seeing when at all after that. I mean, the sharks aren't bad if you like do the thing where you root for the veterans to to get one when they haven't gotten one driver. So. Yeah, hurricanes, her can sharks would be interesting lotteries ans role. Do you have a favorite? I'm picking the won the Stanley Cup final to be between the two Chivas cities. And I'm trying to figure out what that would be think. It's either the hurricanes play Lawrence in Raleigh possibly. Yes. Not Charlotte Charlotte, and I think that Raleigh is cooler than Charlotte. So I'm going to go with Columbus Saint Louis. You gotta go back and forth on a bus. And then whoever wins it. I don't know. I hope the the blue jackets went and use their winnings to design a new logo. I wouldn't mind if the doc it's one and actually it'd be like a good refutation of the trader expiring contracts for draft picks thing because they really went all in and they deserve to to get some successful respect that. Do you have a routing? I would be amused. See the islanders when it, but they're not complaining those games at Nassau and they don't have the Gordon's fisherman logo that they had for like five five one. Yeah. Yeah. That's one where it's like the guy. Yeah. It does look like, yeah. That's Arthur treaters those that is I will say again, not to not to continue bringing goodwill into it like native advertising, those jersey show up a lot given they were not really in existence for. Jerseys or they're like Suri's and stuff like that. But yeah, they're often like a player that I don't know they do too low American names do tend to seem to sell to assign for like something like a twelve year contract. And it was maybe the worst decision. The history of the franchise. A lot of people clearly like we're going through their drawers springtime was coming in. We're like, oh, you know, what this actually sucks? I don't want it at all. So their losses. My game. I I have a supremely ignorant question for Lauren have the Saint Louis Saint Louis blues ever. I couldn't even get right of the Saint Louis blues ever was. No less. I'm forgetting something. But I don't believe it'd be nice story if they want to as much as we goof on the cards and all that shit that was the team that had bread hall for a million years. And then he went to Dallas and one Stanley Cup, and they had to watch that shit anyone to Detroit and won another Stanley. Kinda seems like it would be my Stanley Cup would bring that up you'd bring up the Detroit thing just seems just seems funny that you bring you want to know who else is on that two thousand fifteen maybe during the break from Detroit, I feel like there's another. There's an athlete from Detroit that we don't hear about from Detroit. Joke. That's Lutheran Venice show. Yeah. Really launched into just listing. A lot of name the foot of real Bubba. Gump outs. Planing jokes mix them fun. Let's take a break and come back. We're back. We're done with hockey you. This is the point..

"Eric Fogel, Josh beer. And of course, Joe, George. So. Josh your defense. Yeah. You know, I have to have a defense. No. You had no idea that I was going to bring up this topic. But you are very good at the self deprecating swerve right into that. Every time I will preach scheduled intercourse with your wife, all until I'm blue in the face is guys or life now with with their their own. Why was my wife my wife? Yeah. I I will preach that on blue in the face because it does it does wonders for the sex life. If you missed our conversation last segment, we found the story that probably a lot of you also have seen or at least heard been referenced that one informant of not had sex in over a year and mostly it is due to video games. Josh beard himself is quite the game. A lot of video games. I've been winning in apex. Legends a lot. Don't you worry though? He pencils. Insects every Saturday. And we need cut. a name for that. So they can put it on the big calendar in the kitchen that I don't think exists, but they're going to. Calendar exists. We just need actually pencil it. Okay. So textures were helping us. And if you have more ideas, seven one three five seventy four six ten eggplant day. And of course, they I mean that's a little too on the nose. Like, I I like with the kids know plant reference we talked about how doing brackets brackets is lazy with like a mob brackets. That's lazy eggplant day. That's a lazy name for it is well, we got to be more clever than also another. Texter just suggests hump day Wednesday. No Wednesdays were too busy for Wednesday's bad day. Wednesdays is a bad day. We're usually both to tired like now. Wednesday doesn't work. Yeah. Let's I still like pounding the monster that we brought up earlier because you talked about me drinking, my monster energy. I was concerned you're gonna spit it all over me. I was really close to it. Yeah. Really concerned about your energy level. Because the last time you did that you finish it in about three minutes, and then we were off the walls here, but I took I took pills at the same time pills. I didn't take the energy pills and drink. Energy drinks. So I as long as I have just one or the other. I think I'll be okay. So there we go. Josh beard popping pills. Staying awake. Not nice. The big conversation. At least I think of the day. The af is suspending operations now. There's a few things to come of this. Johnny Menzel tweeted out. Budgeting advice about how it's going to be your last paycheck. It is your last bread. Save your bread. I don't really think Johnny Manziel is the person to be handing out monetary advice. I think he's the perfect person. Really? I think he's the per no better person than somebody who has gone through the experience of blowing all their money and blowing their final paycheck as a football player, but his family comes from money. He doesn't have to worry about money. Right. But it's still like it. It's one thing once you move away. And you you're self sustaining in your family's not giving you money anymore than to go back to my family has to give me money again that is a shot to the ego. That's a shot to the pride. I don't think there's anybody better than Johnny Manziel to take that advice from because he's we they've literally seen him do that. When Adam pacman Jones, they had them talk to new rookies in the NFL like years ago who better to talk about not screwing up the NFL, then Adam pacman Jones, like it's the people who have experienced growing up and experience how bad it is. When they've screwed up. Those are the ones that need to get the vice that's why scared straight was such a popular program. That's. It's a nice sentiment. Josh that AM shirt. Thank you very much. Yeah. Just referencing wedding. I. Due to screw. I know. I know the biggest surprise to me about all this in their folding, which is the sad. I'll actually hit this. I the sad story about this. Is that teams are apparently, you know, the players are getting their last paycheck. That's it and teams are allegedly making them by their own flights home terrible. So not only is this folding in a lot of people are losing jobs, and we even know of people that have taken gambles to move forward in their careers. Whether it's media or sales, or whatever it is to work for this. Association that is now does not exist. The biggest surprise to me affiliated minor league football that dream is continuing to die despite the most prolific and profitable era of football that we live in right now. I you put it in those terms, right? The NFL is as big as I totally with what you just said. Yeah. How remarkable is that then that the NFL is it because they're scared of having another league will this. No, the af thing is really really weird. Like all the all the circumstances surrounding what's happening right now with the af is incredibly strange because as of just a couple of days ago. They were having discussions with the NFL PA about being able to use practice squad players to play on these teams, which is something that wouldn't happen for a couple of years, and the the one of the majority investors in af what's the owner of the Carolina Hurricanes. How you pronounce his last name is Tom Don d-o-n, Tom, Don d-o-n, I think is wrong with that. So he's one of the majority owners, and he was he said he would invest two hundred fifty million dollars in the af he only invested seventy million dollars. But because he's essentially the one who makes all the decisions right now. Even though you have Charlie Ebersol, and you have Bill Polian who were the real creators of this league, the NFL's perplexed by this ever saw is perplexed by this Bill Polian. Nobody understands why he's stopping everything with the af like an, and it really doesn't make any sense why he stopping all operations. What it feels like to me is he's really really scared or he's running some kind of a scam. Where he thought he could hide some money or move some money because if you look at this, there's no way somebody invests this kind of money seventy million dollars seventy million dollars with plans to invest two hundred and fifty million dollars without having done some kind of in-depth research and market research based off of like, what is this league gonna do if they were so afraid that three were not even three months two months later, they weren't going to be able to pay paychecks. Why? Whenever you your job is investing. What you've made your life is investing in things and buying things. And investing in leagues and teams. Why would you invest in something like this and not have done the homework? So this is really weird. Even the NFL's thrown off by what's happened with with the situation because they apparently had really good conversations with the NFL PA and with the NFL about being able to use practice squad players Joe you're dying to get in. Yeah. Go ahead. Joe? There are reports that this guy bought the league or bought into league for their technology right for like gambling. And like they're originally was supposed to be there like app where you can track the players on your phone. It basically look like an old school video game. You Bill follow the ball and the plays as they're happening and never really launched or was really bad version of what they promise. So there are reports that he just got it in for the technology. And now he's just getting out because he has access to what he really wanted. Right. And it was not a league. It was just the tech. Right. Which is just first of all why would you trust anybody who? Owns a hockey team in Carolina like in any either of the Carolinas. That's just weird to me. But on top of that. It doesn't make any sense that they would start this league and have this inaugural season that would be done eight games into a ten game season. And they wouldn't have had any kind of fail safes in plans and have have any idea. What was going to happen? You don't start a league? Like this. Like, Charlie Ebersol is smart, dude. You don't start this without knowing that there are going to be some bumps in the beginning. But you're gonna make it work in the even the NFL Jerry Jones, wear af hats, none of this makes sense. So I don't fully I don't fully think af is done yet. And so I totally agree with what you said is that it's really weird that we don't have a true minor league system in this day and age where the NFL is as popular and his makes as much money and has much visibility as it does. But this whole af situation is just super super weird. It really seems like one guy that's just trying to salvage as much money as he can. And he's screwing everybody over in the in the process. It is surprising considering that nobody actually likes the NFL itself. Like the players the product. Obviously, you hate the Lee. League. And they've created such a product that the NFL has that no other league can survive any other football league looks like you put rims on a Prius. Right. I don't understand how they've done that. So well, but the biggest disappointment in this for me is the fact that the af was less successful than big baller brand. Like what businesses and products have lasted longer than the af Furby like the or the second iteration. Frocks will crocs are amazing. I don't think we've got us. This is weird hill that you like the die on rocks are horrible crocs. Look, I don't wear them to the grocery store anymore. Okay. I was threatened with my life from my wife, and yes, you can say my wife, but so I don't wear them to the grocery store anymore. When somebody's with me. But they are the most amazing shoot aware around the house and to do yard work in or if I wanted to throw on some some shoes to grill in the backyard crocs van crocs are such an incredible invention. And I don't think you should disparage them, they're they're one of my favorite things in the world. And so it makes sense that this company has lasted as long as it has. Josh someone just texted me, they said nice crocs guess who said it who no-one no-one text that. Because no one say crock. Oh, I'm sorry. Why don't you ask post Malone about his signature crocs? Okay. That sold out within five minutes. I couldn't even get my hand on them. They sold out so fast. So I'm sorry. Yeah. Only me and post Malone light crocs, even though his signature wants sold out. I'm just a part of pop culture and a pop culture phenomenon. Derek just to clarify real quick. Josh are you saying that you were trying to preorder his docks or order them as they were order them as they were relocated, just clarifying? All right. So that's good..

"It's a huge Wednesday edition of pro football talk live, huge huge no co host today, which means we have loaded the cannon with guests. And the biggest of the guests a guy who a lot of us may not have known much about twenty four hours ago. A guy who bought the Carolina Hurricanes of the NHL in early twenty eighteen. To not much national fanfare. Let's be honest. The Carolina Hurricanes regarded to one of the bedrock foundations of the NHL. The NHL doesn't hit the radar screen the way that other major sports do. The Tom Dunton roles in with a two hundred and fifty million dollar investment in the alliance of American football. That's one of the biggest sports stories of the day. We'll talk to him about it in two hours. The new chairman of the board of the alliance of American football with that quarter billion dollar investment. What does it mean for the league? And other questions that I have formulated, and we'll be formulating over the next two hours. When I have a chance to do. So I am prepared. I'm more prepared than usual actually sat down last night and came up with a bunch of questions, and what will happen is. Once we start talking forget about all of them that usually how it goes. Mike tirico in an hour and a half he's actually doing hockey tonight. Blackhawks and Red Wings on NBC s and Mike tirico calling the game. He joins us in ninety minutes. Serena Williams in the final hour of the program. I wanna talk to her a little bit about the Cowboys. But she was the Rams pool reporter for Super Bowl fifty three. And there was a little news last night from C J Anderson that confirms what many of us believed about Todd Gurley and his knee and whether or not he's knee was fine. C J Anderson says it wasn't fine. Shocker. Let's see what Charene knows what she gleaned from her time at practice, and what she can say I'll let her. Navigate that minefield because there's certain things you and can't pass along that you pick up at these practices. But. The Rams were trying to make everyone think that Gurley was fine. I think that at the core. Number one Gurley was concealing from even the team how he was doing. That's one way to avoid having your name on the injury report. And number two. The Rams were trying a little rope dope with the patriots to make them think that the game plan was going to be centered around girly. So that the patriots defense would focus on him. When in fact. He wasn't going to be the focal point Paul Allen also joins us final hour. Hopefully, he won't be late. He's had a thing lately. And at least he owns it and rebels in it when he's late for his radio show. It's only happened a couple of times. But. I'm going to be late for your radio show. It's easier for me to say all I have to do is walk across the first floor my house if I'm ever late. That's a problem if I'm ever late. I better be. I better have a good reason dead. Yeah. I didn't want to go that far because I don't wanna tempt the reaper. I'm not like Tom Brady where I'm going to tell father time to take the l father gonna whack you over the head with that L, Tom unless there's something that avocado ice cream. I don't know about let's parts dilly on it should have been peeling avocados. Instead of looking for a found a youth father times eventually going to get you, Tom. You.

"Set the bar. Yes. Seen disinterested. Yet. You have not seen this intro yet. No. This is fantastic. Is in the back at it. Again. Absolutely loved it guys in the back. So here my powerhouse rankings. We'll get to outhouse afterward powerhouse rankings from from five to one number five because it's obvious. And they've been there all year Tampa Bay Lightning. That's a good. Call number four the Carolina Hurricanes and those bunch of jerks bunch of jerks. See they have t shirts now bunch of jerks. I want to buy a t shirt and the they were sold out. You can't wear a Carolina Hurricanes logo Murray that would be bad for your image. Why aren't you on the team you're in buff? When they beat us in seven games, and it's a different Dan age different day and age. Okay. Number three, Marty's old rave. You're shaking your head. You disagree? Just whatever mardi says, I just want a bunch of jerks teeshirt. That's all I wanted. I'm not saying that I'm cheering instigator bunch of jerks. T-shirts why don't you finish your rankings here? Philadelphia number three, Chicago number two. If they make the playoffs canes winning the Hart trophy and number one St Louis blues ten straight. This is absolutely insane. So there's my my powerhouse. I mean, I know other people say how can you not have Boston argue not of this team? This team's in first place. Well, it's what are you doing for me? Now, that's how I view this who are your powerhouse teams right now. And just because they're not in the playoffs. Spot. Doesn't mean they're not acting like one of the best teams in the league. Yup. I agree. And to piggyback off what you're saying. I did this somewhat for the first time all year. I'm actually gonna pick the teams that I feel and believe should be in the top five regardless of where they are in the standings. It's how they're playing right now. Okay. Okay. So I did Tampa Bay Carolina Philly Chicago, Saint Louis. Those are my top five power rankings. What are kit? Thank you. Appreciated? I always appreciate support. So I have I have Philly at number five Phileas, obviously been one of the hottest teams in the National Hockey League. I think in their last fourteen games they have twelve wins. They're eight one and one in their last ten games. I have at my number five the Saint Louis blues. Ten wins in a row they are on fire. I mean to me they're the biggest. Eyebrow raising team in the National Hockey League. They were many times throughout this season last place in the NHL. And this is a team that not only is going to make the playoffs. They're going to surpass guys are teams that are in their division. I have San Jose who to me just looks like a force. They're they're number three in the National Hockey League right now with thirty with with seventy eight points. They've got power on defense. They've got power on offense. They they. They're goaltending is great. I just think overall this is an extremely tough team to play against right now. They're seven two and one in their last ten games. I have Boston Bruins who are fourth in the National Hockey League. Currently right now with seventy eight points tied with San Jose. They're eight zero and two in their last ten games this team. Is just getting better and better to get it done without without they get done with injuries to key players exactly all year long. They've had birds riot for an extended period than they had the Dana chara out for his period. Then they had Charlie McEvoy who ended up getting the overtime winner last night against San Jose. This is a team that is extremely deep with veteran presence veteran elite players, but they also have a very really nice young group of Charlie McEvoy that Carlo player the the other little speedy. No. The. Boston little speedy defenseman crew. Nope. Gretz or whatever. Yeah. Liquor wrestling who is absolutely leaky grizzly, and he is absolutely beautiful to watch this defenseman. Anyway, moving forward my last team powerhouse they are in credible. Led by the best player in the league right now and kucherov followed up by one of the best young players embrace them point forget about Steve can't stamkos. He doesn't mean. Anything? He only has thirty five goals in eighty points. But this team is so deep and it's not just on the forward line. They are extremely deep on on the defense with Victor Hedman stolman surrogate shove mcdonagh, could you imagine being on that? Then how how much they must be having you sit there and go there's no possible way. They can have a good goaltender because they're so deep at forward, and and gold and defense vessel Leschi's the possibly the best goaltender in the National Hockey League right now. And this is a absolute star studded team. I will be absolutely shocked if they do not win the Stanley Cup. I don't think they're going to win the Stanley Cup. Yeah. You're crazy. You're you're absolutely. Not bold prediction there. It is. Right there. You heard it right here on this day powerhouse. House out house. I don't even know what day it is. It's wednesday. Yeah. And I'm going to say that the Tam tell me why tell me tell gimme a reason why I wanted to know what's amazing nasal auto lightning. I'm going to let them have. I'll do that. After you go. Okay. Let's I'm good. To to do. My powerhouse ranking. Let's see what they are. Okay. Okay. I'll do my powerhouse ranking. You know, you guys got me at let's see I'm going to start with the top Tampa Bay Lightning number one by far the best team in the league. I'm gonna go to Saint Louis blues. I love that team. Jordan Bennington is doing fantastic. And that one ten in a row when the sabres one day were in the top of our power rankings? The blues should be there. Three the Boston Bruins. I think the Bruins again with a big win against San Jose last night. Six five to Caracas playing better. Berge Ron on fire. Marsha they've got you know, and they're doing it without pasternack right now, which is be careful when you go to a team event, and you go back to your car at eleven thirty because you may slip and fall. So anyway, the Bruins up there. Four. I got the bunch of jerks. The Carolina Hurricanes. I think they are they're they're being led. With Sebastian our whole and Curtis mcelhinney. I mean that is unreal. To me Nicolini was put on waivers the Toronto Maple Leafs are lake would much rather. Have garett sparks as a backup? So we'll put Nicolini on waivers, and he goes to Carolina and saves them from the goalie issues that they've had the last few years. So I like I like the Carolina Hurricanes and what they're doing and v is the Chicago just to go back to Carolina. Why do you think that they are? So good right now. They're not they're certainly their lineup. Does not indicate something that is is for a team to have that much success. So far, really solid defense. Number one, really strong on a backhand. So you start with. Fox and Jacobs Lavin. And then you add to that you had Dougie Hamilton Brett Passi Calvin, Don. I mean, th they're they're good on the back, end and their well balanced upfront. Look, I there's nobody on this team that jumps by that you like Sebastian. Yes. He's a he's a superstar the making. I really liked the Nino need to writer deal. That was a really good deal. You ended up getting a big body a power forward a piece that you didn't have in Carolina TV turbine in this Blaine extremely words, Andrei dukov, wet lines. He play. No. He's always got to be on the first or second right now. He's on the third line always on the third line. So they're taking an eighteen year old young hockey player, and they're giving him time to mature on the third line. Yes. Yeah. But he's also eighteen and where he should be is what I'm trying to say anyway. So and so that's Carolina's Ford for me. So it's Tampa Saint Louis Boston. Carolina and fifth is Chicago just edging Philadelphia Flyers which I really of liked of late. They're relying on Carter heart a lot. But for me, Chicago. Dare dare exciting. Bunch to watch eight five yesterday nine goals in the first period. There was five four Chicago in the first against the Ottawa Senators nine goals in the first period. It's just was insane insane hockey credit. You want me to answer your question about why do I think Tampa won't win the Stanley Cup? Sure. I believe the Stanley Cup champion is gonna come from the east this year. And I think it's going to be the Boston Bruins. No. You can say, no. I mean, you could say no if you want to I I mean, that's that's fine. And I'm not a Bruins fan, and I don't want to necessarily see the Bruins win again. But I'm gonna you know, they'll make a deal. They'll go get. I dunno Wayne Simmons who would absolutely make that team. Awesome. You know, they have good defense Pasternak's gonna come back. And we busted his thumb in a bar fight or whatever. I just joking. He slipped and fell. You're talking about. Yeah. Well, all I'm saying is he's gonna come back fresh as a daisy, you know, his hand will be fine. They've goaltending. Their backup goaltender like is Yaro halack. I mean, he's not like some some, you know. Euro could possibly be Vezina was in the conversation earlier in the season to garage, you had to take a little bit of time off in euro, lack has played unbelievable. I mean, I just I listen, I don't wanna be right about this. But I feel like Boston just because of the the point you made earlier your point earlier is the reason why I think when you miss players in order like chara and bursar on at the same time. I know Charles old no one thinks charleena's what did he is? He's still amazingly effective. Yes. Yes. So he's out Berge runs out. So you have arguably your heart. Toughest defender on the back end your best two way forward maybe in the league cover of the NHL hockey couple years ago out then he comes back or charge back. You lose McEvoy. You don't lose stride. You're young players come up. They all produce they all perform you. You still lose without? Pasternack? Like they scratched David Backes this year. I mean, so for me this team. I mean, you scratch a guy like David Backes. And then he goes in response the way he does it. He he handled it amazingly well in in the media, and then he comes back and scores the next game. Yeah. So I just think there's so much respect for David. You know, I loved him as a player before. And I understood people wanted a bag on him because he's slowed down. He makes six million bucks. But that's why you pay a guy like that six million bucks. Like, that's what Patty Marlow value in Toronto right now. Yep. You know? But anyway, I can't wait to see the Leafs in Bruins in the first round. Because I can't wait to see. The Bruins beat the leaves in the first round again. I will be a tough of that would be that is to absolute monsters going after each other because the Bruins are very interesting team. They're a team that can go toe to toe defensively against any team in the National Hockey League because are programmed and have the players the David crises. The Brad Marchand the Berge. They are programmed to play good solid defense. I so it's going to spread throughout the team. But at the same time they also have players on their team that have been extremely high end point producers. Brad Marchand is is having another terrific season. Pasternak has having another amazing season. Berge is truly an amazing player. I think having his best season. Well, he's got fifty six points in forty four games. I think he's never been above appoint a game. Yes. Yes. Career. Absolutely. Yes. Like how many times I'll find we're talking? How many times are we talking you? You just he has been over a point a game. Oh, yeah. When I don't think he has he has never been over game. Game ever been over appoint a game that and he got himself. Sixty three points in sixty four games last year. But he's never been over a point a game. He was a season. He wasn't twenty twelve thirteen fourteen. Enter the Spangler Cup games as you have left. How many games how many games they have left? Boston has fifty nine. I think they're twenty two games. They've played sixty. Okay. So in twenty two games how many points will Birger on getting the twenty two games. So he he has the ability to play sixty four games is that enough gain games to win the Selke. Twenty two games if he squeezes twenty points, and he has seventy six points. Great number, by the way, and has it in sixty six games ten goals. If he does a thorough goals and seventy five points. He's a plus. I think so because listen, I we've talked about Sasha Barkov Barkov was the new up and coming like threat to patriots Burs Ron for Selke. And I think Barkov has struggled this year defensively is still good. But he was at one time he was a minus twelve or whatnot. And you can't be a minus twelve and be considered for the Selke trophy. Even though the plus minus stat is a little bit flawed. It's still can't be that way. So we're going. As a guy who are what about rhino Riley this year. Britain point. Washington play. Yes. But are they are they gonna look at Brayden point as a Selker Selke trophy winner because burning point please against the other teams top line. So they can free couture soda soda soda. Steve stamkos. It's basically kind of flip flop back and forth. So it Steve. Stamkos the guy that's gonna be a Selke trophy guy. Could be you know, what I'm saying grim reaper tweets us. He says. Whereas I already know era. Does he says who in your infinite wisdom right now are your final four in the NHL playoffs? Okay. We do outhouse because we're gonna run out of time. Forgot all about the autos. We gotta do the house. We'll get back to you. We'll get back to you sabres. Are I think just announced okposo out with a concussion?.

"Other team always wears white, and that's it and the colors never ever change. And it stinks. I take my son max, he's five years old. I take him to gave he's been to a lot of sabres games throughout his life. He knows teams in the HMO. He can name the logos. It's crazy as his brain is already a big sports brain even at his age. And when he goes to the games like he he has to know the teams by logo. He can't tell by jersey color. I mean, he can if he sees up close to they're wearing blue but right away. He just got to know the logo. Which is fine that he knows the logo. But I I think it'd be cool for him to see the red jerseys of the Carolina Hurricanes like tonight. Or the red jerseys of the Montreal Canadians. We don't have the blue or the green of the wheelers anymore. Sorry. Those were cool. What was the what was the best hockey jersey? That used to come to the odd. What's the best or hockey jersey? What I might not even be the odd. When did they switch the switch to this millennium millennium? How they did it. So let's say on they had to do it before was it really could have been the nineties. No were wearing white because Derek Plante scored with a white jersey on in the first year of the new arena and game seven, right? So I'll ask it this way. Like, what's the what's the coolest jersey before they switched, and they and they all go white. Now the road teams when they wore their colors in the coolest one you would see come into the come into either the odd or HSBC key Bank. All that. What's the coolest one? Did you ever think yourself? That's a that's a sweet looking logo. Designed jersey doesn't even have to be one that's around anymore. I mean, the Nordic with me was always called. And I said, I keep referencing the whalers like the wheelers. Green was probably ugly. The time. But now that I think back I'm like that was sweet it you remember when the whip by the way, I don't know if you know this Brayton, but the whalers and flyers both at one time or pants not shorts. Yep. Crazy the. And I remember that. Those were sweet. You can even say like Vegas has. Yeah. I like it design max really smacks. Lakes vegas. That's like a team. You know, why? Because they're nights you little kids like nights. Right. That's how he likes them. When we watch the Stanley Cup last year. They had the big performance with the night. And that was like got him fired up. So like the nights are in his next team after the sabers because of that. But you're right. They do have cool colors black and gold just place, black and gold place. I think that's why you know, the Bruins. I think have been seen as kind of villains throughout the years over the years. You know? For their teams and winning and stuff like that. But if you think about it like. Yeah. Black and gold place. It's not bad. But Vegas, definitely black and gold. Whereas Bruins are yellow. Well, yeah, I guess you're right. They're more yellow, they're not black and gold. What is what would you say? Pittsburg is. Yellow yellow, they really think about it like Vegas has different. That is gold. Yes. That's gold gold. Yes. The other ones aren't that is a sweet color UCF is like that. Yes. Down in Orlando. Yes. That's the very much so UCF has cool Younis and cool colors. That place. Pretty well. You said max really likes nights. I hope he didn't wasn't watching the Super Bowl. When the the bud night was Mercifully taken down. I don't think that I don't think we saw that. Maybe all you missed it the, but oh the bud night the bud night. There was that when they went on with the the corn syrup. The one that was one of them. I it was it was a tie in with game. Okay. I doubt he was probably watching my phone at this. Okay. Other video while we're watching commercial he wouldn't he wouldn't have liked the bud night being taken taken out. No. So it always it always takes one person to ruin it for the rest of us. Well, somebody did that in Chicago. And if you're a football fan if you get on sidelines and passes and things like that. Here in buffalo. Elsewhere, let's hope that he didn't ruin it for everybody. I'll tell.

"And that video goes viral as well, listen people dig it understand why. And so Tom Dunton, and I'm paraphrasing. The tweet sends out a tweet the owner of the Carolina Hurricanes saying, you know, changing the culture in Carolina, right? What do you think fans there's something to that effect? And it's the bowling pins victory celebration for the Carolina Hurricanes, and if you look at the replies always curious how people respond to owners when they tweet you see in Vancouver. When I Queen gets on Twitter when the Vancouver Canucks replying whenever done didn't send out a tweet, always replies. To see where the fans are at the overwhelming majority of responses was this re-signed, Furlan resigned. Furlan why do something re-signed Furlan like every second tweet back was about Michael Furlan? And it's not as if he's a secret around the NHL heck this guy played in Calgary. On the top line with Monaghan and good row. Scored twenty goals scored twenty goals and is rough. And we keep talking about teams who may have Tom Wilson problems specifically in the Eastern Conference. If you have a Michael Furlan, maybe don't have Tom Wilson problem. And there's a lot of teams that value that now more than ever care. I have a question for you. Sure. It's an existential question. Miss your Sahra. Camus. Are we not that extra Stansell thinking about this the other day? What's moneyball about finding inefficiencies? What if the inefficiency in the NHL is Tom Wilson. In what sense that he's the guy that there's not enough of that is the X factor. Now, we he stands out because there aren't building. What what if the inefficiency is having that guy on your Auster spine? So he's a first line player now. Yep. Ovechkin he affects games because he runs over people and everybody has to look for him. You have to game plan for him. Now, you're constantly looking around. Where's Tom Wilson? He's scoring. How many of them are there? Oh, there's only a couple. There's barely anyone any mica Furlan's one of them. Okay. Ryan reuse who went out of his way. Yes to target Tom Wilson and the other stories about Ryan Riess was apparently he pits. Some teams last year when he was going on his free agent tour, and there was a lot of interest. I heard there were some teams you met with these drink conference and say, I'm the solution to your Tom Wilson problem. So he line what if the market inefficiency now is finding that guy. Then you'll see more players like this in the draft. Well, that's what I'm beginning. To wonder. I was at a golf tournament last year Zakheim golf tournament last year when Tom Wilson just after Tom Wilson's extension got signed and. Everybody there all the players were talking about it thirty one something million for Tom Wilson. And nobody had a bad word to say they were all happy for him. They respect his role. But how many people looked at that? And said, wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait. How many of those guys are in the NHL now? And maybe that role has value. Maybe I should be that player. You can make a real good case Jeff that he helps you win. He does a real good case. Yes, he does. And that's what if that officiency is finding those guys. That's why I think you'll see more like I've come around to that. Now, we're once a bond time was get rid of all those guys..

"To go. Yeah. Look like it was slash on O'Reilly who who creates his play by his speed is work ethic. You know, we see it all the time. But the defense of the Carolina Hurricanes. They got the puck back in the blue line. Number ninety two where the blue jersey comes out of absolutely nowhere. Pickpockets defenseman gets the puck takes the net and draws at slashing call. I would so much rather see speeding physicality than a whole bunch of penalties on junk calls made that just don't matter. Don over to the far side. Here's O'Reilly blues. Bows, Aki tried to shoot it that shot gets blocked camera, Missouri. Power play for the blues. Goes just underneath. Crossbar again to game for O'Reilly and a quick answer for the Saint Louis blues with four point seven seconds to go in the first period who's on top three two one. Wow. That's how you respond right now. While there is just no slowing Ryan O'Reilly down the guys on an absolute mission draws the penalty comes out of the power play wins the faceoff not a lot of time with the clock. Face off the buckles of low to high. He goes east to west behind the net. And this is where the breakdown happens. He goes the Tarasenko behind the net goes back to was right behind the net it caused confusion for the penalty kill the hurricane. And then bows with his back turned makes us nifty little pass. All right coming down the left side there for a quick again one timer right heart of the bar fourteenth. Second power play the blues scored nine seconds into it. And I think a fitting way to deal reached team scores on the power play in the game is square the way it should have been. And now the boys play now and now hopefully, maybe they come out in. We don't get too many more ticky tack. Thanks god. Let's see some five on five hockey three to one the score blues leading O'Reilly with two goals and Lucile ticket two goal lead into period. Number two. I gotta before we go to your Chris. A graphic up on the video board. I got a shirt great story. You know, the blues clues players players all around the league, they'll they'll buy sweets and over the course of the year, they donate the tickets sweets are block of tickets to different charities so Jake gallon. They just put it up on the video board Jake L and had a block of tickets that he purchased today. And it was donated a big brothers big sisters, right? So big brothers. Big sisters offices are located not grant right next to FOX. They need big brothers. They need big brothers all asking for an as a big brother myself. Okay is just basically two hours of time every two weeks four hours a month. And they pair you up with a with a youngster that needs a mentor doesn't always it's not always a youngster need. Okay. But they have a waiting list of I believe close to six or seven hundred boys at Neak big roofs. All right. I'm gonna share real quick story for the hopefully inspire some people when I was in the minor leagues in Springfield, Massachusetts. Is part of big brothers. Big sisters there too. Young man, I was paired up with his name was Gerald McCoy. Tony. He's from Springfield. His mom's family was from Georgia. Sometimes what will happen with these is sometimes, you know, sometimes you fall, touch sometimes this. Well. Something had happened where just gone dispirit tried to find apparently knew that they were going down to Georgia. But apparently, they never came back. And and you know, I would even want to go back there. I've tried to look them up tried to find him, you know, had an old number different kinds of things. Right. So we're talking twenty two years ago. Now, I opened up Facebook today. I get there's a friend request from Gerald McCormick. Who's now thirty two years of age and a message from him. I mean, I was almost in tears. I couldn't believe it. I I it's such an exciting day because of this. A little message for him. I don't know if you remember me. But I remember you, and I still remember things you told me then that helped me out today while okay? So I have not heard from him in twenty couldn't find him and ask trista..

"So Phil kind of thinking about what Ryan mcdonagh was was talking about it. I think the light you're back in their heels on this penalty kills even though they did score shorthanded goal. Carolina gains momentum from that. And the whole line was very dangerous. But actually, I mean it was very choppy early the game. I think gliding did okay. Against the other three somewhat. I liked what he said was passing sharp, and it wasn't. And they have not done enough to apply pressure. Exactly. They have not applied enough pressure in the zone of the Carolina Hurricanes. I think they gotta get on him. Little quick your resume. Cop the puck up. Carolina had wealth shots at the first eight for the lightning four of those twelve for Carolina came on their two power-play chances shot attempts twenty eight fourteen Carolina. They're definitely a team that directs a lot of pucks to that always into Brindamour is preach these guys. And that's what they're doing. Johnson will open the second period with a fees against shortstop lately were down earlier member in the first period on face offs. For peace outs, ended pretty much even fourteen thirteen hurricanes. Lorde? I hope so. Okay. Guys, you're gonna play the game here. What? Second period underway. Kind of a fifty fifty in the face off comes to the far side boards and van ream steak chops it into the lighting at had been quick counter Johnson, etc. One touch it forward not into the Carolina and swatting out. Peci peddler reverses for kucherov. Andy palms it back in. Here's just Williams behind the net falling now coming up on Johnson delay call lightning haven't touched it patchy. Has to regroup by Dakota Johnsons going to scoot in touch with puck by the Carolina. And then they'll head to the penalty box. I want you to watch this one Dave Johnson just touches escape. I mean, just touches it. And. Ripping Williams went down pretty hard. He comes in Williams has the puck. Tyler Ginny, just. He put his bleeding escape though. He stepped on the stick just like the other driven. Put me Ernie gut third play chance in the game for Carolina again, looking to grab the lead back. Sara Lee installed.

"Against the Carolina Hurricanes and again, a younger lineup. So they're still kind of getting used to things and learning the little things that they have to do. But the perimeter passing looks pretty solid so far. Powerplays looking pretty good mckell surrogate have quarterbacking that power play. He said earlier today that he wanted to be a player that can handle eighteen twenty minutes and play on special teams. And so far. He's he's got a lot of confidence. And he's doing pretty well in this preseason timelines on the power play. But here's the Andrea across the blue line, right circle. Jackets, deflect it over the net. The penalty up Ross Colton left circle appoint circuit Jeff holds it. In all toss it behind the romanucci is there. UCF fourteen goals last year up the middle, etc. Crossed the blood a shot in the slot. Deflects over the net. Walk will on the rebound left circle. Yosi fires and he ripped it over the net. Again. Here's Irwin writes circle down low. He'll take it right corner across and left corner. Back for Yosi left point kind of Corinne past him into mind is gonna steal strip by Yosi apparently coming up Dumont on the delayed penalty. Call is going to be pinned by toll than in and lightning. Go right back in the power play. A rare miscue by Yossi mishandling the puck of the offensive line. And then it got walked by Dumont. It had to take the penalty. Lightning to the power play. When we come back daily three nothing in the second lady radio when you think about it. A flag is no whole heck of a lot of anything. It's fabric sewn do a stick it needs the wind to do its job a flag may not be much. But when it's a lightning bolt waving above your front.
