NBA playoff predictions 2020: Why the Lakers are unlikely to win NBA Finals, according to one model

"I'm glad that we finally are getting into like what I consider The meet of the season. The scrimmages weren't doing a damn thing for me. I could care less about the scrimmages that was for the players to get warmed up. That was to give everybody a chance to actually get something on the television screen. And then you know the eight games. I was like, whatever with a games I guess I felt like the Los Angeles Lakers, who went three and five during the eight games. Now they want to get revved up and try to win an MBA title and I get it. That's what I've been waiting for. So really, basketball is finally here. For me. It felt like a guy going over the weekend when the Portland Shura blazes one, they're playing game over the Memphis Grizzlies. John Moran went out and did what you would expect him to do. Ah, 35 points. I think he had eight assists, also had eight turnovers. He's still a young player. He's a killer. I hope he can get bigger. A little bit more devastating because he's a He's a rare combination in the MBA. He's going at your throat, but this year was not about him. Okay. This year is gonna be about who was gonna win the N BA title under an end Unique circumstances. Who's gonna walk away the N ba champion? In something and nobody would have ever thought about months ago. We actually didn't know whether or not we were gonna have a resumption of the embassies in I remember actually being on n ba TV. And when the season was shut down, I was hanging out with my main man, Channing Frye. We were getting ready to do our show and boom Rudy Gobert such positive and then Donovan Mitchell ends up testing positive and then the season shut down and nobody Back on March 11th knew what the hell was going on. And now that we got basketball back, it's real simple. It's what it is wide open. It's wide the hell open. I don't know who you could necessarily come out and say it is a favorite. Vegas right now says that the Milwaukee Bucks are a slight favorite over the two Los Angeles teams. In the Los Angeles Lakers. They haven't really had a great showing since the bubble got restarted. The offense has been mediocre. The offense has been pretty slapstick. The offense has been one of the worst in the N B A in the bubble. LeBron James. You know what you're going to get from LeBron. They sat him a game for precautionary reasons, had a growing issue but came back and everything is fine. And in the last game before the bubble he barely played got in a sweat, and they sat him down. Because LeBron James at this stage of his career, Yes, he's going to play basketball games that they're not gonna load manage LeBron James to death. But the reality is he's in it for rings. He's in it for a championship. He's in it for his legacy. Now. Unfortunately for him, he's playing what a bunch of role players that you can flip a coin and not necessarily know which direction they're going to go. Even his other superstar Anthony Davis. Needs to be more aggressive if the Lakers were gonna go ahead and make any type of move towards an MBA title. That's just the reality of it, and their opponent in the first round is not going to be forgiving. I told you that the Portland Trail Blazers have been on a roll. They have been on a run. You have. Ah, you're kitsch, who's back who missed almost all the last season of the majority of this season is well due to a leg injury. You have a rejuvenated Carmelo Anthony, who's not tasked with going out there and show shouldering the entire scoring low but can still knock down a big shot. Whether or not it's efficient or not. That's a totally different question. CJ McCollum is bowling out of control with a fracture in his back Gary Trent Junior is stepping up. So you might say that the Portland Trail Blazers at this point in time that they have more depth. That they have more of Ah street. That they're coming in with a little bit more fire in their back pocket. Even know in many cases, LeBron James to most, I would say too many is still considered the best basketball player in the league. You might say it's Yana, Santa Campo. But if I need someone to still run me to a title, I'm still looking at the guy who's done it the majority of his career and that's LeBron James. But they do have some issues and Damian Lillard he has his own thoughts about taking on the Los Angeles Lakers. Listen, what little it had to say The lady is the number one seed in the West for a reason. They got the best player in the world on a team. But at the same time we didn't fight a Zhar does before in the bubble, just they argued a sea org Anges Get beat up on. We feel like We have it. We have a chance in a serious against anybody in this league.

Interview With Carmela Wilkins

"Now for this week's interview. I'm talking with Carmelo Wilkins a graphic designer at ab partners in New York City. Let's start the show. Paul Right. So tell us who you are and what you do everyone. My name is Carmel Wilkens and I'm a graphic designer ab partners, which is a digital strategy and creative storytelling agency that is black owned and founded Nice I. Definitely want to get more into that but before we do you know of course, we are recording this now it's in the middle of. Even to say, it's the middle because of the rising cases I feel like we're still somewhere in the beginning but how are you holding up during this time right now? Oh my goodness I would have to say the biggest struggle for existing in the same space in which I work and also live. Or I used to be able to leave my apartment, go to the office and then be able to come back home. You know my retreat my safe haven. But now there's no distinction between two because my desk in my bed are about I don't know a third of an inch away from one another. It something that I've experienced since working from home and having short from home that it's especially the first couple months was really difficult to to have that distinction to create space for myself where I can just rest be at. Men. Also explore my own personal pursuits within my practice. So that's something that's definitely been difficult and also having to support and maintain my family as the breadwinner, my family that live in Rhode Island, and during the beginning of the pandemic, the beginning of quarantine, I had to run around and figure out how to get my sister who studying abroad in Japan. While he was supposed to the umbrella in Japan this past semester from Tokyo back to the US. Yeah. It was. It was really intense. My greatest fear was number forty five was going to just block off all of East Asia including US citizens and that would cause an entirely new problem but are very lucky me and my mom are very lucky to get my sister over here as soon as we could very thankful for that. Haven't even think about like I knew that there were supposed to be some travel restrictions from I think some countries in Europe I hadn't even considered Asia. Although I think now, countries, WANNA keep us out like I. Think the just recently as like Americans y'all stay over there don't come over here. It's a real kind of interesting struggle I. Think a lot of folks are getting into you know I'll tell you I saw a few months ago I was working for a company and. right around like March the folks that were in the New York office they said, okay. We're going to close the office and you have to work from home and then they had to kind of adjust to. Kind of being in this sort of now space where you have to work in live in the same spot and. Work remotely for like over ten years now I, live in Atlanta so like for me wasn't a big huge departure in that like you said, like you're better your desk like a third of an inch away from each other same but. I think what's been the rough is like not having the option to leave like you could leave and go somewhere but it's just not the smart thing to do. So it's like this weird kind of push pull tension between. Wanting to almost want to say rebel and go out. But then there's also like the fear of missing out if you're staying inside being safe. So you're like Oh. What should I do? You know what's the right choice to make? So I understand that that was it been in New York? Has Been, very, interesting as had so many ups and downs are have had my. From all the stays outside of New, York contacting left and right from overseas just wondering if I'm okay. How am I eating how my paying my rent? Like how do I have a roof over my head and it's it's been stressful on to reassure everyone like hey, I'm okay. Responsible saying if I am leaving my apartment, I'm also coordinating with the three other people that live with. We have this rotating schedule of WHO's leaving the House to specifically for groceries not for everything else not like from going for a walk or something but. On the quarantine in New York when we were really confined to art to disarm apartment and we were concerned with if of our roommates were sick or not not knowing like having massive era of uncertainty with what was going on in the households on just how going to sustain ourselves. So we created those really awesome system of how we're going to get groceries who's going to get. It has greater safety net and why like physical safety? Not all's. When it comes to go outside and retrieving groceries and coming back and sharing that space in the kitchen and how to do that A. Mindful away. If we're cautious about, say one of our roommates being sick which actually did happen. One of my roommates were sick for about thirty five days and we were very confused and also scared honestly, and they were definitely as while if they were sick or not. If they had covert but we all got tested I believe last month while three under the four of us got tested last month and to including came back negative and then one of my roommates came back positive. So. What it means because it doesn't really mean anything the tests aren't hundred percent accurate sort kind of like, okay. We live together like we're gonNA continue watching for each other symptoms and see what happens. That is both confusing and scary. Yes exactly. I mean to take the test. I mean, of course to know whether or not you're negative or positive but then because it seems like well, the virus is mutating and you know the symptoms are changing and. I. Hope you're staying safe I mean I I don't really know what advice to kind of given that. Than, just to the vigilant wash your hands so Social distancing. Well, let's talk about a be partners. You mentioned that being a digital strategy firm, it's black owned. How has it been adjusting to working from home if they've been cool everything. AM So. To be working where I work book, we have had moments on a one to one basis with on the team recall said moments as full team to just talk about their current reality that we are all facing. The is impacting us in various ways that we either have chosen to spoke about or having spoken about one another, and this is also my first full time job before I was freelancing. So it's really comforting to know the management team and those are the overseeing everything have employers in mind like our health, our our mental wellbeing, our overall wellbeing in mind, and at any point during the last, I don't know how many months has been I'm like losing track of time at this point. Like. If at any point, we needed to just take a step back from all the craziness going on. It's okay to do so and they completely understand. So that was really really important for me because I really value work life balance I. Think they've done a great job at the beginning of the quarantine they're just like, Hey, folks. So we want everyone to be really comfortable and adjust themselves to work from. Home. Like here's some extra cash like on us to really make your `rumour habitable for working and living, and I was really I was really kind. They didn't have to do that but but they did and I really appreciate it out. So did everyone else

Edie Falco, 'Tommy'

"Are watching. Tommy on CBS. Because it starts my guest today eighty. Falco a welcome. Thank you see. I didn't want to introduce you with that long list of your credit. So Gosh that would just take almost any Golden Globes things you know you should have a whole necklace or embracing the bat but here you aren't Tommy Palang. The chief of police. Somebody had to do it. You put a cop before we probably in is where the war right The chief I know right now crazy. They apparently thought I could do it. Here am why. Do People think you could be charged? Apparently that is a common misconception about my kids there is nobody less worthy of that That there's nobody no my kids anybody's kids are never going to think of you as anything to really you know on the earth or you're in charge more you're going to do that but explain to the world out there. That hasn't watched it yet. Who Tommy is. She is the chief of police in Los Angeles herself as a New Yorker next Nypd COP and She finds herself sort of on the other side of the country and leading a group of people. She doesn't really know in the city. Sch Isn't completely familiar with and that's how we start. You might as well be in your top two because that's where you live. Yeah it's where I live. So they said what? Well they I you know I I get stuff sent to me and I read it to see if I'm interested. I don't I'm not interested much these days. Which worries me? I don't know what has changed but I read the vendors movie. Yeah we're working on please. I know you do have a fifteen year old son so it would be. It would give me an in with him that I don't presently hat but I read the script for Tommy and I thought it was very good but it takes place in La. And so. I put it aside sadly and then My manager came back to me and said well what if they were shoot in New York and I thought he was. Just you know it was a pipe dream and then turns out they ward and they did and we did you go. Well decide to remake the thief of Bagdad. It'll be shot west West village which is can get it done. So what's this I hear about that? You travel with a van filled with pomp. The Art Department is the scenic. People are really they get their long before we do show up there and their palm trees in front of the House and all of this very colorful foliage. When we're all in Parkas you know I don't know but I buy it and I know we're not in La. But I I walk up to the Seine. I'm like wow very impressive to strike. I still do but they were able to pull it off and we do a lot of interiors so that could be anywhere but you bring Your Own New York Ness to this party. I that's great. It fits in the character. Does everything people look at you like they look at me or anybody else's in New Yorker when we go to La. What's the matter with you? Why are you wearing black and white? I don't understand stuff. They hired me so you didn't even go there for like one. We had one day. I shot one in L. A. And we got a lot out of it because I was up on in Griffith Park or something where I was someplace to. They got lots of long view pictures of us in La just to Kinda Cement. The location think it's only fair. I see enough movies that are supposed to be in New York. That are shot in Vancouver and I go way it. That's up late clean on we. Just don't do at all. That's right time. Tommy herself as a character is is to me wonderfully complicated. Oh good all really messed up. And I'd love to see this woman who's in charge be like all of us when somebody says you have authority over this like we all delude ourselves. Who are parents that we have with authority for their right but she she had a messed up marriage her daughter and she don't have the best relation right? Her husband's an actor right. Oh my God. Can I mistaken you? Imagine and she's a lesbian looking for love in Los Angeles while being the chief of police data enough for you to have roll camera to that one but yeah she's got up and who doesn't mean. We all have all thinkers. I think people are ready to see that you know complicated people with complicated lives. And how we're GONNA handle it and so what? I think I like most is that she does see as her priority to kind of get this police department in shape even knowing that there's going to be pushed back the men that she's a female she doesn't know anybody she hasn't necessarily earned her place in that precinct. She knows they're going to be people who are not happy about that nonetheless. You show up ready job and makes that the priority and how these other things fall into place kind of what we hope people will come back to see. But whenever I've talked to you about your life here in New York you've always said to me. You know what I love to do on terrified. Stay to I'm John Cancer. You know my my sign and homebody. Just don't WANNA go anywhere. I win every place and I did so during your whole doubles years. That's right apparently out in the world but yeah I love being home. I have a home. That's comfortable and I love my kids and my dog's my friends come over. I don't know yes. I go out occasionally but I love being home and I love especially working these very long days and coming home to my house in my bed and my loved ones. You know what's important everybody's there everybody's there and even if they're not always happy to see the look of disgust on their faces when I when I recognize. I'm it's do. They comment on your performances. No I I. I'm not entirely sure. They know what I do and I'm completely on. They must've at least watch. I know my daughter said so. The shows on Thursday nights. I said Yeah. She goes We don't have to watch it. Do we know Mace. I won't make you watch kind of worked on it. Because she was onset so much. My daughter almost twelve worked on it. Yes many way would make me laugh. They are endlessly. Funny my kids. Yeah and that's what keeps us all going. Oh for sure. You may not look like you at a spa but that's You know I can't remember totally my life before them. I can't even doing with my time was was it the children when you adopted was the son. The first one was that. What changed everything for you. You know there were a lot of little things along the way. The decision to adopt him was was huge. And then I was talking to somebody recently about the moment they hand you your child who is over or is it like the get to see the baby. I it's every say that one no of course you have no idea. It was connected to this birth mother. Well in advance of her giving birth so They actually handed me my trial. And I'm looking at this little thing. Yeah it's huge and your life changes. It just changed national. Who I thought was like. You're leaving like you guys were the book. He was very nerve wracking. The whole ride home. My friends were in the back looking at him in his seat. Like all right. Yeah No. He's still he's still good. It's really really nerve wracking. But I think every parent goes so. I don't WanNA kill this baby. Try because you can't. This can't be happening to be out to do it. I changed my mind. None of that's allow no. That's the thing is the relentlessness of the whole the whole procedure. I think it's good for us. Well I think it's good for everybody because it's going to happen. It's going to totally if you are huge and wealthy and can hire a nanny for every half day. It's still your cake and the ad may know you're the one you're the one and you're responsible and you did everything wrong and you know that right. Once they're able to talk it's on you. It's so different for Tommy. Because she comes in. She didn't have this relationship with her daughter. Stayed back in with her dad and it was and you're doing this and and trying to find so here it is all these years later. My daughter has a daughter on on the show. And so we're what? Where can we start from you know? Do we try to go backwards and repair? Can we start from where we are? I mean it's all the questions that I guess one would have in a in a situation like that or do I just walk away you know. Is this something that can't be fixed. You know again complicated. Yeah who wants to well? Maybe people do especially in this. You're dealing. This show is dealing with things that were living with every day and immigration. The first episode is there Sexual misconduct right is right. There in fact it was. Tommy that had problem right war and then in the last episode that I'd seen it was about a Hollywood producer. Rice was happening. So do you have input into this. What's going into these scripts? You know what I could I it's been made very clear to me that I have as much input as I want. But I'm so busy doing the stuff that I do. That and we have a stable full of writers that are so creative and interesting and interested and talented suddenly. We're all sitting. I just referred to them as livestock. I'm not sure I didn't mean it like you. The whole group lovely normally humans sitting in a room didn't the story and you look at it and do you go into the stable and say the hell is death if they took this. I look at it if I look at with. Yeah you'd never do that either so you can do it. We have to give me that. I haven't done someplace somewhere you know is is the prison warden. Carmelo is like basically running that house too bad for Tony that any of that happening. I let him maybe total mass but what she's in the hospital we don't think of her diction we think she knows what she's doing as messed up she is. What is it about you that everybody thinks he is take charge? She knows what you do it. Every minute of the hold the will of all the is so what not. You're not how do you deal with all the characters that you've played before when the public when they see you is going to remember one or the other of them vividly? The amazing thing I've discovered at this point in my life is I can't control anything that happens with anyone else so if they are coming at me with a memory of some other character I played. I hope they will let go quickly or they won't be able to Follow the new story that we're all telling you know It is a huge honor to think people look at me and think. Oh I watched that show that you were on whatever but being an actor you change all the time who you're playing in what part of the story you are participating in and You know so I hope people are able to let it go and and look at look at the new stuff. Where do they go in your head? Do they live with you? I'm sure they do you wake up some days and there's a lot of now that they're long gone so you don't need any therapy then it's okay that's a whole other. How much time we got about the role. No no no. No no no. That's also twenty years ago. We started it twenty years ago. Sopranos And then Jackie was whatever I don't however many years ago that was time passes in wants to Kinda I take off the nails and the jewelry and all that stuff she goes away. You didn't save inning of her. Wardrobe tying the wardrobe. No I was. I was happy to move past that. I kept a couple of things from the house and I didn't keep her fingernails wardrobe. Something you'd be in the mood for US.

"Next guest has thought a lot about raising the visibility of the indigenous lands that La is built upon and about the indigenous tribes that have called L. A. Home for Millennia. To Not Zine Carmelo is Tova and her tribe has called the L. A. Area home long before the Hollywood he would sign mark. The hillside to on-scene is an actress. You might know her from Steven Spielberg's miniseries into the West or TV shows like Undone Z.. Z. Nation or the Sun just to name a few I've reached non seen in her home in La. Hello and welcome. Thank you could be here so when you see the Hollywood sign there on the hill something so iconic to l. a.. What do you think about? Oh what do I think about too much. Oh I don't see it like everyone else sees it I would imagine As a Tonga Person. Yes and of course the word Tonga me people of the earth and Part of our belief is that we are part of the earth. And you're part of us and so when I see the beautiful Hollywood hill I actually see the hill and feel like if you know part of me as traditional person so it's kind of part of our history and Lore but with this funny white sign on it. That's the way. Yeah no as Tong long actress living and working. LA IN LA. How would you describe the visibility of the Tonga in in Los Angeles visibility has has been really remote actually for railing on time and I think currently people are kind of starting into wake up slowly but I think that we live our ancestor lands are very were and are on highly? Highly desirable land is prime real estate and was deemed that from the very first moment we are also like I contact tribe so you know whatever happened to whatever happened to all the other tribes in the Americas happened to I've anymore magnified in in condensed and very rapid fashion Because Orlando so desirable and so. I think that's something that people have have really wanted to not think about for a very very long time and I think people are starting to think about it. You know as an turning to wake up from it all and so Our survival I mean really had to go underground and a lot of ways some of the head intermarry with the other tribes that were surrounding But still remained on our land. Some of US Had to leave the land. Some of US went away for a little while. which was my family? We actually really lived on the reservation for awhile and then came back so we all have very street a descendant so it's very complex. Dude Dude. Very confusing Do a lot of people I think. And it's very unique as well because that's part of our history and who we are as a drive was on very very desirable land. Yeah now you've been working in Hollywood for quite some time now What is your take inexperience? in regards to indigenous indigenous representation in TV and film I think it's been evolving slowly and is on its way to being a little bit more creative. Created a little less stereotypical but it has a long way to go and Yeah you know the evolution has still been Kinda a slow drip but it is happening. I do see different roles that are kind of various epochal but there twists to them. And there's new the ideas that are interjected into them that maybe people haven't seen before For instance my role in the nation. which is you know sci-fi Apocalyptic Zombie show? Oh it's different from what you typically have seen in the past. Yeah what have we seen in the past. How would this kind of role compared to something we would see ten ten or twenty years ago? Native folks would probably very marginalized and very Supporting supporting roles. Yeah Yeah and definitely not characters that had motivations in any you know that that were pertinent to the story line or name Casus ACIS right or evening exactly. That is something that we've been working towards. I think collectively as native people and It is happening but very slowly to Nancy. We started talking about the Hollywood site. But something bigger than Hollywood that you want people to know I always would like people to consider the fact that California actually has always been the home of indigenous people Historically pre contact pre European Times It actually the home to more tribes and and more people indigenous people than all of the United States put together and our presence here has always been very strong and it remains strong wrong today and in particular Tong. Land we have a religious venture that was kind of the hub of all of the surrounding Native tribe in southern California the significance religion on that was based in Long Beach and so that area has always been essentially a cultural the center for indigenous peoples. So it's just kind of not ironic but it's no accident that this is Centre for indigenous these people as it has been historically. Thank you so much for sharing with us today. Think you turn on. Zine Carmelo is a tongue. Actress reached her at her hole in. La

Jimmy Kimmel ditched his studio audience for a somber tribute to Kobe

"Jimmy Kimmel. Who does this show from here in L. A. had coby on his show fifteen times times and was so affected By the accident and by his death that he decided to send the studio audience home last night he did not have a studio the audience and he opened his show by saying this. Hi I'm Jimmy Kimmel and tonight show is going to be different from our usual. We'll show we don't have a studio audience here tonight because going forward with a comedy show didn't feel right considering what happened yesterday. So I'd like to speak to you. Directly we as you undoubtedly know Koby Bryant and his daughter Jonah and seven of their friends were killed in a helicopter crash yesterday here in Los Angeles and that was a punch in the gut for many of us. Kobe was and I know this might not make sense but he was just the last person you could ever imagine something like this happening to. He was so strong and handsome and smart and energetic he was a hero. And when I say that I don't mean hero like real heroes like firefighters or doctors and nurses who actually save lives. I don't mean to compare what he did for a living moving to what they do. I know there are more important. Things have basketball. Almost everything is more important but Kobe was a hero in the way. Superman is a hero. He was so big. It was almost like he was a fictional character. A real life superhero with a costume and everything walking amongst us. Those of us. Who Love the Lakers? No it seemed like he always came through. He always showed up to save the day he wanted to save the day. He had a force of will will. He never gave up as an athlete. He was incredibly gifted more than almost anyone. He was talented beyond reasoning. Yet he worked harder than everyone. He work harder than people with much less talented he had. He took his job and his pursuit of excellence so seriously he was completely dedicated to being as good as he possibly could be which is inspiring to anyone who does anything and we loved him because of that but we also loved him because he was ours we watched him grow up here he came to La when he was a teenager and unlike almost every other superstar athlete he never left in his twenty year career he will only wear to uniforms. Forums for the Lakers and for the United States Olympic team. There were times when it seemed like he would leave but he didn't he stayed until the end and e someone almost everyone in. This city loved not just Lakers fans. Everyone would light up when they saw myself. Many times he was special he was a special person a great basketball player for sure but more than that he had so many interests outside of sports he was intensely curious he would call people. He admired to interview them. Business leaders writers inventors. He was always learning always improving hunger for that when he was injured when he tore his Achilles. I sent him a book and he to my surprise prize's read it and then called me to discuss it in maniacal detailing want to know everything about it and then I was like. I don't know Kobe. I didn't write it. I just bought the book and I had to put them in touch with the guy who wrote the book and that's what he was like. I'd many conversations Kobe off of television and they always involved his daughter's water's always you. Once retired for basketball his life revolved around their lives. He was very proud of them. He loved being a father when my son had heart surgery he he checked in with me repeatedly he made a point once. Billy my son was out of the hospital to meet him. He wanted to meet him and from time to time. You check in to see how he was doing and yes I know he was not a perfect person. I understand that a my intention is not to canonize him or or make judgements about things. I don't know anything about but I will say he loved this family. He worked very hard and he brought a lot of joy to a lot of people in this city. And we're going to miss him and I hope you'll pray for his daughter Jonah. And for their mother Vanessa for the three girls. Kobe left behind lost their father and their sister and his friends were on that flight. Within the Altobelli Family Christina mousers family. Chester family are as a buy-in the pilot. I can't imagine how much they are missed. This was a terrible loss for those families and the Lakers for Kobe teammates fans. It's just there's no silver lining here. It's it's all bad. It's all sad. He was a bright light. And that's how I wanNA remember him and you're hitting all sorts of reactions like this Carmelo Anthony any now. Just put up an instagram post. Chris Paul put up an instagram posts. Why won't NFL teams hire minority coaches?

"Three head. Coaching spots have been filled this week. But none of those. Three coaches were minorities while the Rooney rule has been followed. Some are beginning to believe that minority forty candidates are not being taken seriously for the open jobs and anonymous African American. NFL Assistant Coach said that the League has quote finally shown. It's not the place as for black men to advance. It's ridiculous it's disgusting. We can sell tickets and make plays but we can't lead Shannon. Why isn't the Rooney rule role working? Well I think until skip this diversity thing yeah. Diversity is a great great to talk about but until you get someone the leadership position that says you know what. I don't just want to talk about it. I want to be about it so until you get older ships that actually wants to put some substance to this and this is what that you're GonNa get now if the general manager there's one general manager that's what minority and that's CR- Chris greer in Miami. There's zero owners that are it shouldn't say minorities. I guess because shot con radically a minority. But when you get the gist of what I what. I'm trying to say until leadership gets more diverse. You're I'm not gonNA have a more diverse hiring background skills. This was puzzling to be. Is that Eric. Enemy has the exact Zac job that Matt Nagy had negative and call plays any recall. Please man they can get the job. Doug Peterson sedinko plays true. Recall to play around Rivera's on but Ron Rivera was not the defensive coordinator in Philly. He he became a D. coordinator what's he got to the D. Coordinator in Chicago. You are you in San Diego. Yeah but he got his getting these enter coaching tree. Eric B enemy has the exact same job. That Matt Nagy Doug Peterson has and he's not getting opportunity is spirit but this. I don't really think that they go into it. Unless you incentivize this. Okay if you how minorities kill we maybe you have an extra three to five five dollars and cap space. That's the only thing that resonates with these owners because I get it skipped if I spent three billion. Let's just say I spent three billion dollars for a restaurant run. You Go tell me what the hell I need to cook. Cook whatever I WanNa Cook it there. And that's how they look at it. Jerry Jones spent money for this. This this mind you oh tell me why should get killed but but this notion that Oh and they brought Muhiba Marvin Marvin Lewis. He brought him in to to do that. Situation wasted the same with the giants the giants they had irebi enemy. They what Joe Judge Chris Rashard Rashard. Excuse me Chris Restoring. Yeah so now. Now we're down to one. Vacant Cleveland Reunion. I'm talking about how good already know. Angle get no frills JAYCO network skill. He already interviewed there. So you would now now the take my name off the leader and solid rubber solid. Take my name off the list. Because he's GonNa get Mad Max two and a half years if you're lucky that seems to instead that's all Jimmy can stomach now if you look at it they keep these. You look at Mike Patton. You look at all the guys they've had and these guys have had I think. Hugh Jackson stayed the longest at two and a half years. But everybody's been two years the list huge only two and a half two and a half long but you get you get these other guys you get pretty kitchens and you look at patent and you look at a I forget. Just give all these one year jazz. WE ACHE AAC CLEVELAND. That in Cleveland of the North this skill ruining rules a joke. I get it. You know minorities Cadillac. An affirmative action thanksgiving. Yeah but in -firmative action. I guess it's federal dollars. You'RE NOT GONNA get the money if you don't do this. The NFL is a is a private entity. So what can you do. What Ki- what can you give? Nfl Do not the so. I have been tracking this for a long time because one of my best friends is John. Wooten who is now the retired leader of the Fritz Pollard. Alliance and he was the driving force behind instituting the Rooney rule as I hiring practice in the national shirow all league and John's point from the start was I just need interviews because if a young assistant coach gets interviewed a couple of times times it gets reported in his name gets out there and if another owner sees that name enough over maybe a couple of years hiring cycles else maybe an owner says chee that guy. He's getting a lot of interviews. Maybe I should bring in. Maybe I should be more open minded to him. But if you're GONNA curse because if I get a a lot of interviews and I'm not getting hired was wrong why here the me getting hired cave liability with that. But John's point in the end was I'd rather have interviews than not have interests. Okay okay so let's go back to the stat that I use last week. The Institute of Diversity and Ethics In sports twenty nine thousand nine racial and gender report card for the National Football Bali. The League got actually an a plus for hiring of color. Assistant coaches right a sit a plot. Oh that's progress right. It got a deep loss for hiring head coach of Color White eight-plus assistance d-plus head head coaches. There's a big disconnect there and it shows you. That owners are fine. Oh hire two or three black assistant fine with that but nope nope. I don't want to head coach to be black. Right gives quite to the restaurant you can cook. You'll be in the bank but Michelle not the bridge. I roll up now okay so when I texted back and forth last we can use this last week of John Wooten just beside himself now. He is devastated by this this development his point was that only one. GM Chris Grin Miami. Point out is use. John's word heartbreaking because it could start with the GM right a black GM of or of color could be more open minded to say to the owner. Hey listen this guy is really bring him in. Let me let me introduce him to you right. The conduit to the owner can be stronger. Iran have I don't know six or eight black. GM right right. We've had them around the league four or but all of a sudden there's a dearth to rape Barma with Barma within Cleveland. He'd Gone Rick Smith who I know very well be in Denver. He interviewed for The Washington. Ashington John Daniel Snyder said head coach could be a head coach. Basically general manager after the Washington like who are the head coaching after the draft. The General Mattis. Okay so sometimes there is group think or shink sheep among the owners because in the end they do want to win right. And if they're looking around the League league and that black head coaches really successful they say well I want one of those. I want to go that direction right well. There was one black head coach who started to have success late in the year ear and he happened to be allied with Chris. Clear in Miami and Brian Floors off the Patriots. Well they started out all time badge for about what seven seven games fifty. Nine seven opening renders and then they basically it felt like they turned the whole roster iside down which they needed to do and then all of a sudden the last nine games they go five and four they upset the eagles and then they went to foxborough and just basically ended the season. I thought for the new New England Patriots playoff teams right. Okay so all the sudden Brian floor floor with the help of Chris greer. They're having big success. It looks like it's headed in the right drug us us but it wasn't enough of a splash to create momentum through the hiring process and right because John Wooden again texted me back with so many names he said we have so many in the pipeline. Who already started with Eric? B Enemy and Chris Rock. I think Chris Shaw Bad Year on defense but when I watch him interviewed when I watch his body language. It's a stunt man he's he's got. CEO Written all over him. He looks like a commanding officer to me. There's not enough black head coaches skip. Because because you look you look at Mike McCarthy guest job he hires the guy that gave him his opportunity coordinator fifteen years ago so you see the circle. We'll skip once you become a head coach. What do you do you go to the combine? You go to say elbow you got your drake. He goes to the coaches meeting and Yada Yada Yada and to connect with the boom boom boom right right. So if I'm not in that Lou. How do I get into loops? Because a rid of staff they said eighty percent of the jobs are never posted so in other worth people get hired somebody a friend or family member is not what you know who you know There in live the roof. It does house so to finish John. Bruton's list of pipeline candidates being AMEE. Chris Rashard Robert Sala. He threw Jim Caldwell on his list. Is Jim Colwell was highly successful zestful. Jim called wheel lost his jaw. Going nine and seven in two years Matt Patricia has nine total win and he's still got a job now he goldwell still doesn't have another job he in four years. He went to the playoffs twice in the last year he went nine and seven and they said well you know we need to move in a different direction. uh-huh and the guy that's replaced has yet to win nine total games in two years. Do you still own a still on the clock. Okay Steve wilks got one shot in time. I'm one year in Arizona and he was gone. He's now the defensive coordinator in Cleveland which probably didn't help his cause this year that much but I don't hear his name no in Cleveland right right on the list. And then there's Terrel Austin who's young stripes potential star coach and John Wootton into his list with Marvin Lewis who he thinks deserves a second shy right. Okay so Jerry. Jones did observe in qualified for the Rooney rule by bringing in. I Marvin Lewis. I think Jerry was shrewd operating waiting there. Because he didn't pick a young like like Chris Rashard type interview him because of Jerry had interviewed a young potential upcoming head. Black coach right. There's more pressure on Jerry. What was wrong with right? What's the problem exactly? He went to Marvin Lewis because he thinks Marvin Lewis is kind of old news right right. He got his longtime time shot in Cincinnati. Listen I still think Marvin did a good job job seriously. Yes okay he went. Oh and seven in the playoffs but still it was Andy Dalton Alton you re you with covering the NFL and you remember what Cincinnati before. Marlene got there was John. Carter number one overall. You Got David Cleland with the fourth. The fourth picket. You got big day to day and Wilkerson purse around the second pick in the draft year after year after a year people. Forget what I know. Marvin didn't win a playoff game. But they weren't even getting close to the playoffs for Marvin got there. No so I was disappointed in Jerry because you know my heart Hartz. I'd love to see Jerry Jones higher black head coach and I think I probably won't live long enough or Jerry will live long enough to know.

"Fred influence as a new long-term start at the point guard. Freddie Freddie has been hoping yeah so I'm yeah actually this is not a player who could salvage Detroit season. He commands far more attention outside. And Reggie Jackson a derrick rose. He's he's more consistent defenders well to Blake Griffin. Andris giant pain was always going to be a wonky fit but a five-time all-star can shooting championship. Pedigree could go along way toward. I think irony anything's out. The real the real question is what the hell do the raptors want for him from the Pistons. What is the what are the pace? Don't have they don't have in your head. They would want that. Yeah so I don't know what. They want him expire like marquee. More Sony's now and and do what they do. Watch Gomez to the Golden State Pacers. Nari I kind of like that. Can you back no end up back in Memphis Grizzlies dot se excellent. Sure as a backup Miami Heat Chris Paul. So that's still put listed. I can still see that happening. Milwaukee Bucks Jae Crowder. That makes sense to me Minnesota. Tim was the Ngelo. Russell would love to see it New Orleans Pelicans mulling Beasley and everywhere to New York Knicks bogged down. McDonald's Okay we say Anne Bailey amounting is going to be interested on. Knicks worth seeking to leverage assurance are stay at talent missed out on plays the frequency Knicks all mavericks picks picks available to trade. Data's picks twin boys open out there and picks the draft. Pick Up. Yes He's already twenty seven hour forget. He's twenty seven because he came to the League late. He is but he who used to city thunder. Anthony Simon's I think that this per I think he deserves a gallon reveal. He should be around all they. Don't people like Shade Darius Bazeley this youth they trae forgot. I'm sorry that that's the thing though. Somebody put out there that the one of the reasons they signed mellow not necessarily that they like mellow is that they don't want to train Anthony Simon's so they're trying to do everything thing to get a power four without giving up their. He's he's he's good. He's good topless day Mueller to delay his ability to play ball. Oh he could sometimes put the ball on the ground floor. Facts Orlando Magic. The Marta rose in early though. What does that really make sense? I don't know if that makes sense for their team. I understand the rumors and all but I don't I'll have to make sense for their offense. It's hard to put D'Amato's and on any team. Yeah true especially when you're going to have markelle in the backcourt with him too. So so your space in this kind of crap that seventy sixers. Doug Mcdermott showed off some soda. And he doesn't need something even Doug McDermott on the low is not that great of a shooter shooter. Statistically he's known as shooter but he's not that great shooter but the unknown reason why he known right 'cause they have opened. We'll we'll get high as you don't do so trump Phoenix Suns. Tony's now Portland Trailblazers. Kevin Love. Yes that's a everybody know that's the spot Sacramento Kings Aaron Gordon so long term goal. Marvin Bagley Gordon Plan together. That'd be cool actually I I would actually enjoy watching. They have would appear to be a long term solutions that one day on Fox too but he wouldn't either Marvin Bagley which he four. Who put pressure on the RAM would fit well? I would love to see Aaron Gordon Facade Assad and built around calm down which would entreat the magic who has previously noted are hunt for some offense. I would like to actually not a bad Bangalore. Spurs Gordon for Demar Derozan Yet Orlando was really tomato. Rose in the spurs take those inquiry seriously. The magic will likely try to keep their top. Towns sounds up at an ideal but if they continue to lose more than they win desperation at our own. My kicking Gordon would instantly improves Antonis. Defense and not having to rose and what ended up opening opportunities for a young guards to John. Murray Derek. WHYTE and Lani Walker all three previous probably deserve more minutes Marianne White? Because they've been better than to Rosen and Walker because it's time to show whether he belongs. The the more obvious upgrade will be having Gordon at the force that allows the ladder leads Antonio rebound in his having something of a bounceback campaign but he makes more sensitive reserve rogue bro. Thanks ahead of me. Foul trouble in the game. Were five thousand. Bear did so the League is always eligible rest broke Russell Westbrook five hours. 'cause he he found out in the first quarter lesbian transition where they just don't begin. Beg well he doesn't get he doesn't give maximum effort decided ball so he's reaching he's reaching this basis so he is at this point but yeah but it's like he has to have The habits you would want as a good like a contending team. They're good. I don't know if they're going to be able to put up when it comes down to play basketball. Why is there just the way they play like now getting back defense? That's not going to cut against teams as so using it just to rockets way this ancient change because Russ rockets matter of fact I was watching the rockets game. Who is a I think it was like Bernie? Mac brought up and he was talking to and they asked him Mike. How far do you think this team you could go? They always they always want them to you know say like this. He could win a championship now. is going to be tough for them. I think the most of us like the west allow like thank you for real with no. PG Man game winning three last night it gets fourteen been on a tear yesterday the Dia regards team struggled offensively. It was an ugly game and it was like one of those thunder thunder like granted team. Here were they were. The very those grander wanted. Carmelo has refused to adapt to the three point shot. Never changed his game. The third thing that separated you from Carmelo. Don't for the record from just a statistical analysis. Chris Broussard said this this morning undisputed, and it needs to be repeated. When LeBron goes to a new team. I do think it's realistic to consider. I don't know it takes a couple of weeks to figure out how to play with people. If you take out the Lakers. Oh and three start this year. Lebron not only had never played with these guys. He didn't know most of them. If you take out the Owen three Laker start. You're on pace to win fifty eight games. Why in the world the need Carmelo Anthony? Coming up next. An NFL team that everybody loves and I should to their based here. But I love the bears this weekend. "So you have zero concern that they're losing two starters, and they lose. A veteran presence in the locker room and Tony Parker, no concern whatsoever. Oh, I do have concern. I will be foolish to say, no, there's no concern whatsoever. Yeah. Better than Lakers just because the thing is the concern doesn't start with Tony Parker leaving or with Kawhi Leonard leaving the Caserne started when Tim Duncan lift? Yes, that's when it started. So we can talk about everything that's going on. It's a heck of an adjustment period. Now, said Tim, Duncan, his lift the Mark is asked to be out and Tim Duncan lift Leonard is to be out. And now pop and lamarcus said down in iron, that whole thing out. But now the culture and San Antonio is starting to change. All right. Speaking of culture and change, Carmelo Anthony, go into looks like he's gonna go to the Houston Rockets. I think he's going to be fine too. Okay. So not surprised, shave, Mak hates. I'm not coming off the bench all that stuff that he's done over the last fifteen years in the NBA. How is that suddenly going to change? And he's going to accept a role and sit back and maybe try to play defense. How's that going to change? Like we talked about yesterday. I think Houston offers Carmelo Anthony. Something that no other team in this league can offer them outside Los Angeles Lakers. And that is a relationship when I Pol overlay ship with LeBron James that he doesn't have with anyone else. You know, when you're close friends, tell you something you take it to heart and if those guys are as cool as they say, they are meaning Chris, Paul and Carmelo Anthony, the Braun Carmelo, Anthony. If I ask you for the better of this team to come off the bench because it was best for us, you being my boy and understanding. I don't have anything to gain by telling you that. Okay. "They will be good, but they will take a step back in Vegas. Next week we taking the under on the patriots season win total. Remember, Chris, this is a team that should've lost to the Jags in the AFC title gave it home down ten with nine minutes left. That's in the. They've been down from over six hundred yards and forty one points to Nick foles a backup quarterback. I think the patriots have bigger problems than Brady Bella check that defense. I don't think it's going to be tough. I place schedule take the under on the patriots season, win total. It's not Brady Bill. That's the news. Stopping buzzer heard, how do you work baby? Well, let's welcome in one of our great guess I'm excited about this guy. He's speaks. His mind had a very good NBA career Antonio, Dan, what's happening brother. You gonna talk Carmelo Anthony with you who you You just. just witness theme for a whole season. And for that, you had to witness that. Tripping on your Tom. Hey, I'm sorry. Can't still tripping on your top. Thank you. Should we? Can we starting to go head start. The top eight on the screen and let Antonio pick it up. Thank you to all the Lakers that too. One thing that these other teams that were talking about that the majority teams have is either a hall of fame coach or miliary with one another. The Lakers don't. They don't. So loop hole come on road and number one, the bras knuckle play eighty two games either. No eighty two games year ago. He's not going. You're talking about a plus fifteen Wintel. So what are you planning last year? You got forty, five wins. Maybe maybe forty Lakers in the playoffs, yes or no. Yes, I do have I don't have them as a number two seed and to have the San Antonio Spurs out of the Bill. Thank you. Okay. That's completely district and you know that you know that Gregg Popovich is Gregg Popovich. So I'll have to say anything about pop, but the fact that you got that drama out of your locker room and Kawhi Leonard. And with that drama, this team still had a very successful season a year ago. Now you bring in a Dhamar derozen I get the point the Margaritas, not a report shooter. North is on earth, but you know what? Damore Rosen's also all star in also doesn't matter. It doesn't matter that does not take away from his body of work. Also, you bought him uncle bell Nellie. You brought him back head shooter vendor as well. So some basically what we're saying is you have to be three in d guy. There's not many Thomas's leading. Yeah, they're not many of those guys leak. So you're going to be good at one or the other. It's not very many guys in this league that are good at both. So you got Spurs ahead of the Lakers in the west. I do have this headache wisely. You got your thunder thunder at four. Possibly through the rockets at tune. You and Broussard. Tell me going quickly back to the Spurs. He's hung up on their lack of three point shooting. How do you think Papa this counter? Because I think one of the great strengths of pop. You wanna hear Chris. One of the things about pop that spend tastic that they do on the floor is his ability to adjust to the players that he has. Fantastic. So you look at three different decades. Here's one championships in three different decades, and he's won them three different ways and not deny. We won the championship. We play inside out. We play through Tim and date. We weren't shooting the ball without Tim or Dave touching basketball. Then you move on to the two thousand two. They play just through really, Tim, but mono was air. Antoni was there. And then it goes to another another level of Tony Parker in modern nobly. And then they went to another level of a coup lamarcus authors so possibility to adjust to the rule changes to every and to his personnel. Not very many coaches can do that. A lot of coaches in this league coach, one way, one style pop has a number of different ways that he can play any finds a way to bring out the best in displays..

"Bring carmelo anthony in can you still play in this league yes was he wants the player he was no ninety more and i don't think he's a player that wins you championship at this stage of his career i really don't really rub me the wrong way at the end of the year where he just said there was one thing when he got brought into the first time in laugh data but at the end of the year when his play was down and i understand maybe there wasn't another option in oklahoma city to replace him but i didn't like alameda shot down and put himself first and laughed at the notion of potentially going to the bench and coming off the bench in that role dwayne wade in miami he went back to miami this past year came off the bench so why couldn't they come anthony do that now there's going to be teams are going to want to bring komo anthony i don't think carmelo anthony is what he wants was can you still be productive yes but and i give carmelo a lot of credit for the way that he handled that that messy situation with the knicks with phil jackson operating against them so this is not meet bashing carmelo anthony just did rubbed me the wrong way with how that did end in oklahoma city and i'm talking about when they asked me if he would consider you to go to the bench and he basically just laughed at the question so you look at some options now houston could be an option if i'm carmel yeah i'd like to go to houston but if you're the rockets why bring him in maybe he wants to go lakers browner tight maybe he wants to go to the heat him and dwayne wade waiter tight so we'll see where carmelo anthony ends up i don't think you're getting the carmelo anthony that many people do associate with carmelo anthony being and you started to see the decline of carmelo anthony last year but maybe that changes baby oklahoma city wasn't the proper fit forum maybe that does change in you see a different carmelo anthony for this upcoming year i just don't think you see a drastically different carmelo anthony eight five five two one two four cbs let's go to nick in green bay wisconsin next up on cbs sports radio was that gale what's up nikki right doc i i got my car did that you were hosted a comedy hour from canada yeah comet lebron wants to be kobe is kind of like saying you know anybody who goes to the celtics wants to be curious there's a long legacy but before that yeah no question and that's just someone see this is what we have to do as a talk show host and also as someone listening sometimes people just call in to radio show with an agenda against someone and they just hate someone and lebron has a lot of fans but also a lot of people that hate him it's clear that will in canada's probably just the raptors fan that is annoyed that lebron james owns the toronto raptors so anytime he has a shot to take it lebron he's gonna do that it was just a week attempt if you're going to have a good joke and if you're gonna make something and try to be funny at least be funny that's just making fun of the guy's hair line it's boring it's not a good job you're going to kuwaiti yeah he's got to say something even if he controls some of the questions or can't control the interview they got a hold something to say something what does he want to do what does he want right now all we're hearing about what he does wonder how he disappeared somebody's got to i heard reports say he doesn't want to go to lakers now lebron's there 'cause he wants to be the guy well i'm not a lebron fan but i respect what he can do on.

"A part of something special so i think it's the lakers could come to an understanding with carmelo anthony you're coming for the minimum you're coming the come off the bench you know we can't guarantee you twenty five thirty minutes a game that's not necessarily what is going to be available for you and he's okay with that and that would require a certain ego check from carmelo but if he's willing to do that i could see him coming i mean the lakers still lead often or mellow does still get bucket not not officially anymore at all but he is still able to provide them off and which the lakers are lacking they the the the one remaining issue i see is that they just continue to use roster spots on guys don't shoot a three ball berry well and carmelo would continue to propagate that problem let's let's get to that that roster what we're being sold sold on from the espn duo of wind horse in ramona shelburne is that this is all part of the plan i listen we we know that lance doesn't shoot the three well but his junkyard dog we know that rondo doesn't shoot three well but he's an experience point guard backup will push lonzo and he's a junkyard dog we know jill mcgee's not a stretch five shot blocker he just played well in the nba finals like this is part of the plan do you buy it sort of like the whole playmaker versus shooter thing isn't as euro stuff excuse me zero sum game i'm not entirely sure why we had to get flayed your so we couldn't get shooters i mean there are shooters who can also create for teammates and and lakers did not did not get them but i do think it makes them send the other guys on the ball so lebron doesn't have to do that fulltime but the other part of it is the lakers have guys like that lakers had guys like that on their roster last season lonzo ball brandon ingram josh heart all guys who can create and i mean frankly we no longer all very willing three point shooter obviously the percentage these come way up brandon ingram was a much better spot shooter last year then he was rookie and josh good three point shooter so the lakers have guys that create or lebron the problem is very very young they don't have that toughness that the guys they brought in are going to provide to that roster so it it is still a bit of a mystery to me how they landed on this car venation of players but i think they you can certainly see that there was a plan right there's a consistency to kind of players they find we didn't mention contagious koldo pope who got twelve million dollars come back to the lakers he can shoot a little bit he was very good after after january wants his personal issues we're off to the side he actually shot the ball very well the second half of the season so he's there anyplace defense but for the most part i think the lakers still have that glaring hole on the frim it or they don't have anybody who's gonna shoot the three and luke walton we know comes from the warriors system wants to replicate what the warriors have done i it it's going to be hard reports are still worth more than than than than two point shots and the lakers don't have guys who you know surrounding lebron's we're gonna be able to knock him down consistently i do think that one thing they're counting on is we've if they if they hold onto lonzo i don't wanna get to that a second and you have the braun you have two elite passers and the young guys their numbers are going to continue to improve right it's not as it's not a stagnant target kuzma in your to should shoot better inger roman you're three should.

"I talked to paul george i talked to carmelo anthony i saw the dynamic you guys might not like carmelo anthony only white long matt oh no but that makes a difference i'll george wants to play with carmelo anthony then carmelo anthony staying in oklahoma city is a plus and it doesn't matter what the view on the elephant okay but rick i love your point that you were there and you understand the dynamics better than we do i'm going to accept that i just don't think there's a logical argument to be made that carmelo makes some better and they would not potentially have more upside if if carmelo's not there maybe russell westbrook adjust paul george to stephen adams plays a bigger role other pieces around them make up for the fact that carmelo's atrocious on the defensive and on the offense of any just wants to stand around and until he catches the ball he the offense really hasn't started you are asking carmelo anthony to make a transformation him he's trying a different position he's playing a different role i am going to give him more than this past year in oklahoma city thirty thirty city or melanie hey we're lebron i mean that's what you're looking at while leonard future is still up in the air since the mandate trade a couple of weeks ago gwen gregg popovich had been at odds for months and now a high profile former spur bruce bowen is citing with pop saying the choir has done nothing but make excuses all season i it was while i was misdiagnosed let look here you got eighteen million dollars this year and you think that they're trying to rush you you didn't play for the most part a full season this year and you're the goto guy you're the franchise and you want to say that they didn't have your best interest at her are you kidding me well i think he's getting bad advice i think what you're starting to see now is in a an individual given a certain amount of advice and is not the right advice here it is you were protected in san antonio you you're able to come up during a time where you still could lean on tim tony amano not one time has come out and said anything to the effect of you know what hey i really enjoy being in san antonio or i can't stand what's going on here in san antonio not one time has he said anything let's i don't disagree with anything bruce bowl and just said i just don't get why saying he works for the clippers television broadcast and he's a former san antonio spur and connected to that organization how will the clippers are spurs helped in any way by those comments i i can't disagree with what he said but i just don't understand where's this loyalties the clippers would love to have a shot at kawai and the spurs would love to have a shot at keeping kawai and this do just threw gasoline on everybody you know mac i agree and but this is what all of the old spurs are doing right that's what i mean tony parker saying i had the same injury was one hundred times worse than i'm back playing agree it's like they all got together like f this dude he's not a spur he doesn't appreciate it we could have one another i i think i truly believe this and rick you can speak to this i think most guys in the league dot you can get the warriors this year that their bench wasn't as good that that though the big three had learned to play together draymond couldn't make a shot with his shoulder as head or maybe a combination of the two and they didn't really have a fifth grade player especially when you go dollar got hurt and even when he was that was not the.

"You to learn more galleon for colin this is the heard you may have seen over the weekend that carmelo anthony decided to not opt out in other words he opted in the brain will opt out kamilo anthony up in this reminds me of was naked gun member naked gun the scene where he's like where it was it was like a spoof on the first president bush he's back there working on his lines recession bad recovery kit or session bad recovery good right that's mellow mellow opt in the braun opt out doug out for calling on the heard okay so it's not that carmelo anthony should have done anything other than opt in this is a smart business move because anybody who watched the oklahoma city thunder knows that come on carmelo anthony's as as paul pierce was quoted saying when he was playing in the nba the hardest guy to cover was mellow will you go back five seven years ago carmelo anthony was the best all around offensive player in the nba because he gets gored three levels post mid range three point range now he simply jump shooter and i understand that to the layman you sit there and go well he only shoot jump shots because of russell westbrook knowing she jump shots because nobody shoots in the post anymore so inefficient shot mid range jump shot inefficient shot but maybe more importantly he can't get his own shot he can't go by guys anymore that the carmelo anthony that was a dominant score for a decade plus in the nba that guy's gone and we're and look it's every year it was like groundhog day mellow our mellows guys tweeting out photos of him with a hoodie on working out like they don't look that bad he's in great shape he looked great last offseason was in great shape last offseason and kind of washed up in the regular season can't guard anybody not really a great three points year what he did that was so great in the nba for years one isn't as valued in two he isn't as good at as he used to be and so it's a smart businesses issue to go like hey why would i go out and try and get a new contract which which might total twenty seven million dollars over a couple of years or i could just stay where i am and play for twenty seven point eight million dollars even if they threatened bring me off the bench even if it didn't work out great who cares i still get paid and of course mellow i'm not gonna i'm not gonna say what he tweeted he did not tweet a quirk curse word but what he did was he changed the first letter of two words a switch that first letter of two words and anyone with a brain can read it and nobody was talking about in other words basically instagram'd out haters gonna hate right hashtag stay mellow kamilo anthony is he member shawshank redemption of the movies in your lifetime that you've seen the most i would say like again if you're my age and older there's some smoking the ban that used to be on tbs all the time right there's some other some other movies bad news bears caddyshack but in the new classics i would put shawshank redemption hunt for red october man a few good men as those those ones that you've seen the most so look there's a bunch of different references from shawshank redemption right like the andy to frayne clement through a a you know a pipe full of pico matter into freedom and looking up as the rain comes in wash them out and then ultimately ending up in mexico we can there's lots of different guys to go though that's that's well that's a great parallel that's not the one i'd use for carmelo anthony mellow reminds me of the word to which you may have looked up or you may have used and understood this reference to how can you be so obtuse all carmelo anthony had.
