"On the big 89 WLS. Have to get something off your mind, call 8 four four four the USA and lift and no. 844-484-3872, the Dan bongino show. Jim, what was. What was Russia's line having more fun? Do you remember? You should be allowed to have. I can't believe I've got listened every day for years. There were just so many great rushes. You know, the show is so enjoyable to do for me. I thought sometimes I look up, I say this way too often it's probably annoying. And I'm like, my gosh, we've been here for two hours and 34 minutes. It feels like it's been about half an hour, 40 minutes, maybe. So I got questions for Dan, really great ones this week. We do that every Friday. If you ever want to pop a question and go to true social at the locals too and I put a post up on Thursday, says questions. You can submit one there. But I just want to get that video first. This is the new mayor elect of Chicago. So our friends out there and nationwide, you elect people like this. Unfortunately, I'm going to see blood in the streets. I wish it were different, folks, but crime is not going to stop with people in charge who really believe crime is some kind of asset allocation issue and not about policing. This is just listen to how we describes the problem and you'll see what I mean. Check this out. Let's talk about your plans and of course crime being the biggest issue perhaps in most major cities, but front and foremost in Chicago. Why is crime so bad? Well, first of all, unfortunately for too long, the people of Chicago and quite frankly, people all over the country have been given a fast choice on how we actually deal with public safety. What our campaign proved is that you can actually demonstrate in a real way how critical investments are the necessary dynamics in order to prevent crime. I mean, that's the ultimate goal is to prevent crime. Critical investments. The false choice. Folks, that's nothing more than a word salad. It's nonsensical. It means nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, there is very little evidence that poverty causes crime. It's not even difficult to figure out. You see countries around the world, we are the richest country in the world, purchasing power, parity as well. We are the wealthiest or close to the wealthiest country in the world. Even based on purchasing power. In other words, we have the means we have the average living space of an American far exceeds those even at the wealthiest European countries. So if we're at the top in poverty's associated with crime, then how poor countries don't have crime rates that even approach ours in big cities run by liberals. The answer is because they're making it up. Listen, I love you all at WLS in Chicago. I love y'all. And I know you did not vote for this gentleman. But I am just warning you now. We saw this in New York. The denouement was Ed Koch and to David dinkins. Two liberals. Lincoln's being the most liberal of them all, and the city descended into pure, madness. Graffiti everywhere, open drug use, shell game, you know, fraudsters sitting out in Times Square hookers everywhere. Guns on the streets, 2000 homicides a year, drug wars worked in the 7.5 precinct. We'd find a dead body and the Lincoln towers and the pink houses once a week. Queensbridge projects, listen to 90, listen, why don't you just go listen to 19 early 1990s rap music? Mobb deep, all of those people who grew up in queensbridge around the project because they're talking about. You don't have to like it. But we grew up on it, New York. It was just what we did. They're talking about their experience in the 80s in New York. Ironically, early 90s rap music is the greatest indictment of liberalism every year. The greatest indictment of liberalism you will ever hear. They're talking about what New York they're not kidding. Open air drug dealing. Chicago, you I'm going to make a case to you that you got only a few years to fix this. Remember, Detroit never came back. It never did. Detroit tried and tried and tried, but it never came back to its glory of the early industrial era. There's a lot of people there who really care and would love to see that city turn a corner I would. This is the heart of our industrial revolution here in the United States. But we both know it just never made it back. You still got a shot. But once you reach that event horizon, man, there's no getting out. And you're stuck with this guy now for four years. All right, I got a lot to get through here. So you guys are always nice enough to send in great questions. We do this on Friday after you submit them on Thursday. I enjoyed a segment. You seem to as well. So I chose to continue it. I put out a little question last week because I'm always checking to make sure you guys like the direction of the show. So legend of the truth seeker submitted this question. I just read the names. You're going to put in some thing. It means I don't know. I'm just saying. Hey Dan, growing up, I was a huge baseball fan. My team will always be the Red Sox. I know yours is the Yankees. I know we can't all be perfect. My question is, you think the rivalry is still there. You know, yeah, but back in the day when I was watching the rivalry, you gotta remember, there was the east and the west in the American League and remember this gym in the east and the west in the national league. Whoever won the east played the west and went to the World Series. So the Yankees were in the American League east with the Red Sox who were always the two best teams, at least in the 70s. And that's how much the Yankees kind of sucked in the 80s, right? So it was always down to the Yankees and the Red Sox. You had the amazing moments, the Bucky dent home run, but set off Mike Torres. He had these incredible Yeti. He had later on in the Oz, I believe the Aaron Boone home run, but I think with the advent of so many teams in the Major League Baseball playoffs and if they're league play, honestly, legend of the true seeker, no. I don't think the rivalry is even one tenth of what it is. Was back in the day, not even close. I mean, those teams legitimately hated each other. Hated each other. Durman Munson, Carlton fisk, they wanted to kick each other's asses every day. Oh, no, it's not the same. Paper Pedro, that what he did to Don Zimmer. Don Zimmer was like 75 years old. Pedro was like, I'm just gonna throw this guy on the ground. He did like a judo throw on him. All right. At one end 7. Dan, do you notice a huge difference in security for Trump versus Biden? When I see Trump, I see professional and aware folks when they see Biden. Looks like he just hired some security guys. All right. Not really. I know the guys on both details who run it. Not so much. These guys aren't partisans at all. But I will say this. I think I'm okay to tell this story because I'm pretty sure other members of the Trump family have told this story. Jim, you may want to listen to this one. It's a cool one. Hey, that's a Paula's of the studio. What's that? You want to hear this story? I've told you this story before. Remember when I came home after that dinner? And I said, you know, so they obviously know. Let's just say out with someone very close to the family, right? They know I was a Secret Service guy, so they're always want to tell me stories about their songs this happened to that happened. I'm like, all right, you know, even I don't want to talk about it sometimes. You know when my dad talking about my dad doesn't like being around agents who are out of shape, and I'm like, yeah, good, good for you. Good for you. Like they shouldn't. So, some, you know, some agents, let's just say, don't do as well on the PT test. I mean, they have to meet a certain standard, but and he wanted the guys who looked the part and acted the part. So that may be where you're getting that from. And from

"It with bogarts. Whether that's whether you want to pay him a hundred plus a million who knows. But then the Devers piece is the other major piece in this that you have this guy in his mid 20s who's the arrow is pointing up. You could have taken care of him for the year you didn't. And I just getting a little worried the old Red Sox are back. It feels like the owners who, you know, they're trying to build this fun way sports group empire. They're trying to get an MBA team in Las Vegas. That is not me guessing that is a fucking fact. I'm telling you, they're trying to get an MBA team in Las Vegas. They bought the penguins. They've Liverpool. They're trying to build this whole sports armada basically. And they forgot about the Red Sox. So the Mookie trade, I'm just flagging it now. I really hope like 7 years from now, that just doesn't become one of theirs. 'cause that's what I grew up with with fucking narratives. And people going, oh, and then when the Carlton fisk and you just go all the way through, I hope the old Red Sox aren't back. Next thing for me. I was thinking about the deshaun Watson thing in the NFL. And you know, obviously a reprehensible sock. I start to finish. It just couldn't have gone worse. Really for anyone involved. The Cleveland, the Cleveland Browns, horrible for them. They just couldn't have come off worse. Watson couldn't have come off worse. Changed his story ten times and just impossible to report at this point. Goodell, yet another disaster for him. You know, and at this point, if you go like a scale one to ten of Gödel fuck ups, ray rice probably a ten. Bounty Gates in 8 and a half. I would say, let's say this was start to finish at least an 8. And it's going to linger through the season and what's interesting to me about the Watson thing is maybe this was I was writing pieces for

"All right. Batting leadoff. I forget that Kiki, Hernandez is number 6, right? Or 5. Batting lead off. Wearing number 5 do center Fielder Enrique Hernandez. Batting second, the second baseman Trevor's story number as of yet undetermined. But we're going to be working with 27. Nope, nope. Because that's retired. It's Carlton fisk. Oh, of course. Oh my God. So of course it's retired. Go ahead. What number? No, I was 27. He was 27. It was retired. We don't know yet. Yeah, we do not know. So why did you interrupt me? Why did I was on a roll and because you said, you asked if it was going to be 27. I was answering your question. Okay. Yeah, I did. Sorry. I'm yelling at you like I'm used to doing and I should be kinder to you, Alex..

It's still a lovely. It's still happening. And it's going to happen. It's going to be permanent. That's why they call it permanent hair restoration. Bam Boston. They have Newton. They have New Hampshire. Sam New Hampshire, and Braintree, Braintree, baby? I went to the Newton office, you know, and so I went to the war work office a few times just to visit my Friends down there, doctor Robert Leonard in Leonard here transplant associates back to the press team. Am I saying here? Call them. Okay. They're nice folks. Get your free no obligation thing. You know, if you got it done in a day, you'd have hair by Christmas, man. Well, the thing is, and it grossed more and more. First couple months ago, and then more and more and more and more, look, am I now? It's like a fluff puppy. Actor. I remember used to reflect the sun, but not anymore. Yeah, in a day. Yeah, now. Anyway, thank you, doctor Robert Lyndon and Leonardo associates and doctor Matthew Preston. My hair, doctor. Now, my grandma's coffee cakes also sponsor and we did that thing last week. And I said to text to tweet at my at planet Mikey Twitter address. Couple guys tweeted my regular account at Mikey Adams four 20. They didn't rule. Right. So they were quick to respond but they can not win on a technicality. Did you tell them did you redirect them and say, hey, make sure I let it go because I don't want I don't want to put my influence on the contest. So we have a winner and the first one to go on. It might have was Catherine Collins. Catherine. Yay. She's nice. And she wins a cake for my grandma's coffee. Yep. Because that's what we do here. We give our cakes, stuff like that. I had a really weird weekend in the football pitch department. I tell you that that's what we do here. Can I tell you something? Do I look sad to you tonight? You look constipated. I like that. Well, that makes me sad. There's a backup. When you have not indigestion upset stomach. Diarrhea. They sing diarrhea with such fondness. They, it's like they go, oh yeah. Come on. That's heartfelt. So here's what happened to me. I had every bet lined up. I had $20 on this 5 team parlay to win 70. I had $20 over here to win 63. I had all these teams. Everything came to fruition, except had Monday Night Football left Buffalo Bills. Now I teased everything. So Buffalo Bills just had to win by one. No, they had just to win. They in fact they were plus one. Guess what? They I am so pissed forever at the Buffalo Bills. They ruined me. Hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of profits by that one, they couldn't execute. All they had to do is win my nothing. Just win. Yeah. I guess that doesn't mean he's win by one, but yeah. They couldn't do it. And I'm sitting here going, oh my God, after the Red Sox, 'cause I hit them in a parley with the Red Sox, too, and one last night. Red Sox win, bills win. I win, I think I think it was a $100 to win two 69. Guess what? No, no, the bills. Dumb ass bills. Now, not only do I hate them because of O. J. Simpson, who's a murderer? And I like Fred Smith, but, you know, I can't do Drew Bledsoe was on the build. I like him. Fred's got a gun. Jim Kelly. Jim Kelly gotta like him, but you know what? That team's a bunch of assholes. They're stupid. They were so stupid last night. Come on, you can't beat the tight. They had them. They were 9 lead changes that game. They went down twice two field goals. Pull the trigger. And especially when it's my money on the table. You know, once you do the other times, I don't care. Did you personally call them and let them know that you had bet on them? I'm calling them out right here on this podcast. They all listen. Every bill they're thinking right now, we let Mikey down. Every bill listens to this podcast. Okay? Bill smith. Yep. Believe Buffalo Bill. Buffalo Bill Cody. Bill Clinton, there's no one named Bill that doesn't listen to this. This year podcast. I'm really pissed. Oh man. I'm serious money. Wow. You know, I was gonna buy you guys, you know, a cream soda, tuna salad sandwich, but no, I now I'm broke and you have to buy your own sandwiches. Bill Parcells. Bill Belichick. Definitely those two bills. The bill from schoolhouse rock. Sure. Bill Burr. Bill Buckner, Bill this is in heaven posthumously. All right, going off the track every single time I open my mouth. It's true. Putting in tracks where there's no trains going. Okay, here's something I hate. Come on, man. There's one. There's something I really, really hate. You know how athletes now it doesn't matter what sport if they do something good, they pound their chests like look at me, pound pound pound pound. Like it's thumping their chest. Oh, I'm awesome. They make a tackle on the football field. They apologize. They knock down a pass, not an intercept, they just knock it down. Hey, pound their chest. You know, anything they do that could be marginally considered a successful athletic maneuver. They pound their chest. You can't just be good. You gotta be, it's the old time. Act like you've been there before. And, you know, you never saw Ernie Banks or Frank Robinson or Hank Aaron. You never saw yaz pounding his chest. I mean, it's just ag the place speaks for itself. And it's like, what happened is the team sport. Just run back to the huddle and act like this is something you do for a living. Gail sayers used to just drop the football. He'd have a touchdown. He had 6 and one game. He just dropped it. He'd go back. Yeah, okay. You know, I just want to do a score touchdown. It's not like, oh, look at me. Run to the camera, mug for the camera pound your chest, pull your putt. I mean, this is ridiculous. I hate that in sports. But not a show. It's not necessary. That's right. You know, I can see it's a game winner. Okay, Carlton fisk hit the home run and game 6 and the 12th inning and won the game and he jumped for joy and he ran around baby clapped his hands and he ran around the bases, was purely joy. Unadulterated joy coming from the little kid inside him. It wasn't like, you know, okay, well, every time her own fish hit a home run, he pound his chest, and one of my bases look at me. No. That's not how you do it. And I hate that. Can I get an amen on that? Amen. Amen. I'm glad we all agree. Come on, man. Okay. Amen. Joe Biden. I know you threw his voice in there for a reason because I have a..

"Shave their armpits and stuff like that. No, no. Do I cheer 49? You look like you're 49. You're going to be 70 on November 3rd, but you look 49. Just for the record, and you do those commercials, you look like a male model up there, brother. You know, thank you. I don't know. Just I've had a long relationship with them and they're good people. So it's been it's been fun. Say, mister Evans, say, first, mister Evans. Yes. Question if I may. So after the 1980s season before 81, Fred Lin's gone, Carlton fisk is gone, and we talked to Fred lyn about that situation a few months back or about a year ago. And I just kind of wanted to know how did you feel about that situation that was going on? And some of the incredibly questionable personnel decisions the front office was making. Wow. Well, not good. I mean, how do you not tender contract before? You know, I guess, December 20th, was it or something like that? And leave them to be a free agent. I mean, that's just common sense to tender him a contract, but you know, in 75, we lost that series to the big red machine. We took away the athletics in three games. And you know, we lost that game to a single center field mate that invite Morgan. And I said, and we all said, we're gonna be in. Two or three World Series in the next four or 5 years. And we didn't, you know, we won 99 games at 78, but then lost the playoff to the Yankees, but I don't know how we didn't win more championships with that team. You don't really know. Can I have a theory too on 75, do we that if it wasn't for rice getting hurt by Verne rule, I mean, with all due respect to Cecil Cooper, they had a lot of lefties on that reds team, and he was like one for 17 in that series. If rice was in that lineup every day, I think you guys won that World Series in 6 games. Very well said. I mean, Jimmy, not even in the playoffs or World Series. You know we had won and we had Cecil Cooper and yes, still was a great defensively and offensively. So, you know, I saw yes, playing a lot of first base, and I saw yes playing a lot of left field. And. Kinda. Get back where you were. Can you move back to that other chair? What's that? We just lost you for a second there. You thought you'd change seats. Don't get no, no. I'm gonna say fine. Yeah, so that's 75 series anyway. You were saying that how do we not? How did we not win more championships with that team? Yeah. Just beyond me. I don't. And 70 billion, you know, quietly 17 games fear, you know. And Bill Lee would win a game three to two or four to three and give up 11. Yeah, he said it's perfect. He's a perfect game for him. He said a perfect game for him is ten single ten single shutout. You know, and Bill probably wasn't even smoking that much weed back then. I don't know anything about that. Now, let me ask you this. In 1978, which I thought was lineup wise was the best team. You got hit in the head. What month was that? You got hit in the spot. Oh, I got hit. I got hit by Mike Perry. And it messed me up for a good two, three years. Wow. I had interview issues and dizziness. I remember in right field, I made ten errors that year, I believe. And didn't play, I didn't play as much after I got here. But I had really a lot of issues and I remember right feel I went back and I saw like four or 5 balls and I turned around and spinning and ball went off my glove and my chest and whatever and threw it in and I said, what happened? And I said, well, I saw four or 5 balls. You know, I didn't want to do it. He goes, well, catch the one in the middle. Here's the guy that got hit in the head and he had no sympathy for me. And if I could stay level, I was, you know, if anybody ever has, I'm trying to think of the inner ear problem, but it's called something I can't believe it right now, but I for two or three years I had the issue vertigo. Vertigo. Thank you. And some people get it just, you know, they get the inner ear infection and I'll tell you what, I wouldn't wish that on my worst end. I did get hit and it kind of changed things. Won't really hold me and we started working together and it changed my career. Yeah, I got to tell you this. I got this chart. I worked on this because I'm a dried Evans fan. Always have been. 1980 to 1989. You know, Dewey, they talk about Hall of Fame stats. They say, you gotta be good for at least a decade. Well, I isolated the decade and you know it was the 80s from 80 to 89 and I put a list together of you compared to 7 Hall of Famers, okay? And I took every major category. Now this is not war and the new categories exit velocity and all this stuff. This is old school. But this shot just goes to show you where you ranked in these categories, okay? For the decade of the 80s, by the way, the other Hall of Famers are out, Brett, Ripken, Winfield, Andre Dawson, Mike Schmidt, and Eddie Murray. They're all in the Hall of Fame. You were second and that group of 8, you were second in runs third in runs batted in. Second in OBP, you were third in slugging. Your OPS had your third career home runs. You were 6th gold gloves tied for second with Dawson. Doubles second triples, fourth, and I love triples. Third in home runs, you were fourth in total bases. You were first overall of all those Hall of Famers in extra base hits for the entire major leagues during the 80s. And, you know, to me, that's a good company. It's unbelievable that they didn't give you more respect compared to all these Hall of Famers for your Hall of Fame candidacy. I think it's ridiculous and between you and Louis Tia, those are the two biggest travesties in the history of the Hall of Fame. You know what? I can't speak to that. And where you want to go Mike, but I look at Morris. I look at Alan Trammell and how could they get through the media and not voting those two guys? And that's just a small example of Alan Trammell. If you look at him and Barry Larkin in their careers, do a side by side. Very Larkin gets voted in a second year and tram doesn't go through 15 years. Their identical. The only thing that very Larkin did was he wanted MVP. And tram will hit three 50 something one year. And he didn't get the MVP. That's the only difference. I don't know why they had to come in through the veterans committee. Both of them are just, you know, Hall of Famers. And, you know, we talked about this too. Mike, I truly believe that what happened with me. I always felt like I was on the bubble offensively, but I thought my defense would carry me over. I thought, in my small way of thinking, but I really think that when I came on a ballot, you had guys McGuire and Sosa hitting 55 and 60 and.

"And I just wanted to There is nothing. I will stay out. The score can be 20 to 1. I am not leaving. I stay till the end of a game and we laughed only to walk into a bar across the street. Not standing there going. What are we doing? I could have stayed. If I knew you're just going to walk into a bar across the street. I would have stayed in the stadium. Why? What are we doing? Oh, I was so mad, and I vowed If I got to take a cab home next time I am never, ever leaving a game early again. Oh, I It just I was infuriated. I had the exact opposite experience and it's funny on my list. I have baseball stadiums at the top of my list. Paul, and I think I'm trying to think it might be that that was my first sport that I really fell in love with. It was my true love growing up as a sports fan baseball more than anything else. Um so that that may be. Why? That's the case. But I had the exact opposite. See, I will tell you number one on my list would be, um, well, actually, I should I lied. There is one non baseball stadium, but number one on my list would be Fenway Park. I went to Fenway. I was a little kid. I don't know. My dad took me there on a trip. He had to actually work a game. He was directing Red Sox game and so he took me along for the trip, and he since he was directing, and he had field access, so before the game, we went down onto the field. Um, we walked through one of the walkways. I think it was the first base clubhouse that it doesn't matter. You walk through the tunnel you get into the clubhouse. And you look up. And I'll never forget this Paul to the day I died. You look up and you feel like from the clubhouse steps. You can reach your hand out and touch the green monster it like it just comes on you. You know, it's just it was breathtaking. I'd always seen Fenway on TV. I'd watched so many games all this other stuff. And this might have been after the 75 World Series. The legendary Carlton Fisk Wave the home run fair. And here I am in this unbelievable stadium and look at this freaking 37 ft. Green Wall. That you feel like you can touch because it's right there, and it just dwarfs the stadium. It was it was. I had chills running up and down my spine. It's the coolest experience. I've been Fenway since by the way. It's a great stadium. It's the monster. It's the neighborhood around. It's a stadium in the city with restaurants and stores and everything around it. It's just a really amazing experience I went to Fenway once was during the Sabres Bruins series. And Jody Jackson from Channel four, and I went because she had never been there, either. So it was after practice. We've both gotten our work done, and we walked over to Fenway and went there and it was more bonds return with the Angels. And Pedro was pitching. Oh, wow. So we got. So it was a really good game, and Pedro struck out like that most of the angels, and it was a good game for him. So it was a really good game to go to my my favorite stadium. Of course, a big Yankee Stadium. I and I actually don't Please don't make fun of this, but I did have the old Yankee Stadium. Not I haven't been in a new one. Just because you like Yankee Stadium doesn't mean you like the Yankees, right? I try to make sure we made that point. Clear. Yeah, because it's about it's the history. Yeah, absolutely. It was chilling and And again just you know, again, right? You don't have to like the team. But you can understand and being raised in New York, raised on born in Brooklyn raised on Long Island. Of course, I was well aware of the Yankees history and everything. Yeah, I made sure I took Jonathan to Yankee Stadium before. They They, you know, got rid of it and built a new facility because I wanted him to. And we went early. And we did the monument Park tour and, Yeah, you're right. You just walk into that. And you think Ruth Gehrig, Mantle DiMaggio, all the legendary players that would have played in that stadium. It's it's It was an incredible experience, and I went, of course, I got some very memorable games. My first time to the old Yankee Stadium is against the White Sox when Carlton Fisk tagged out Beira and meet him at the plate together. If you remember that iconic play where they both won, one was one took off from second, the other held at third, and they came down the third baseline, almost hand in hand and the throw beat Barrow there and fist tags them both out. And I'm just today. I can't believe I just watched that. Are you kidding me? I am watching a major league baseball game and I'm watching two guys get tagged out at the plate. I think I've only seen that in a movie. Did they do that in Major league? I feel like there was a baseball movie where that happened, or no two guys scored. I think on the same threat, and I was in right field, and I have never heard the abuse that Harold Bean stuck in right field. It was just It was crazy. Oh, my, And I think to, you know what's cool, Paul. I think the whole whole stadium experience. You can do this based on the facility itself. The history like I'm not a Red Sox fan. But you know, um, you want to go and you want to see Fenway? Its legendary like there were hockey arenas. I never got to the forum. I never got to Chicago Stadium. I went to the old Boston Garden..

"Those guys had huge home run number, right? Then you just get to four other guys Dwayne Johnny bench, and I think is any no no arguments. And then Carlton Fisk lead to longevity. And then there's two more that are a little more, and now they didn't get him and Ted Simmons just got in. And Gary Carter rest in peace. And those are two guys who didn't have the obvious. Obvious numbers, but longevity. Lots of longevity. The answer didn't get in first ballot. It took them years to get in. I'm just kind of wondering. My take on it type is that it's a story yet to be written like Buster still has a few more years to tell us what his career is. So I don't want to make the call one way or another right now, But I just wonder where you Place him in that pantheon of the guys I mentioned because I guess one last thing on this really long set up for you. Here is Thurman Munson isn't in and he has very similar career to Buster Posey right now, so just your thoughts and I played against them in months and for a lot of years and every time I walked up to home plate And I stood in the batter's box and I looked to my left. I thought that I was looking at her speaking to or saying hi to Hall of Famer everything that he did. From the way he caught games and the way he threw people out in the way he hit. It wasn't just, you know, he gets the ball out of the park, but he was a he was a good hitter. I thought that he was a hall of Famer, and I definitely think he should be in a very good, you know. Died in that plane crash. You know he would have played a lot longer, and he probably would be in. Uh, you know, those are hard things for people that have to vote on right? Uh, for a guy like Herman Munster, But I mean, I mean, look, I'm really Bias when it comes to buster in my thoughts, and before this year Thought Buster was a Hall of Famer and I thought he was a hall of Famer for Lot of reasons. More specific. Was what Buster did. The three world championships and a franchise that had to have any In San Francisco. And in the number of games that he caught and all the important hits that he got. Uh, and the fact that you know he lost almost a year. In 2011. And bounce back and had a great year the next year and they win the World Series. I mean, Just keep snacking things up, and and I think you can look at the numbers. And and you can argue, But I've said this before months hold to you guys. And I know you're on board with me is if you're going to use Coors Field. And some of the numbers that like a Larry Walker puts upper Todd Helton, right. If you're going to use course field is a detriment to those guys getting in. And Walker's Inn and Hilton is going to get in. Then you also have to use Pac Bell Park, A T and T part Oracle plug You have to use that park is a detriment for Buster to get him in because he's already lost 50 to 100 home runs. If he were playing in a different ball park, And if you add those 50 or 100 home runs, I don't think there's any question that he's in. So do you take that into consideration? I don't think I don't think they do. I think they take it into consideration when its course field I don't think they take it into consideration how hard it was all those years to hit home runs. In an article part he never complaint in every once in a while, you see a little dumpy shoulders when When he got discouraged that hitting the balls 4 21, and he was caught, But he never complained and he didn't complain because he's trying to win World championships. And, uh, And that's my long winded answer. My My answer is actually longer than your question. Not a good answer, though. I know I could have kept going to I'm looking into the numbers I'll take. I love talking about this. It's such a fun topic to shine. Fans talk about this. Like I said, At the end of that long winded setup was he's He's still going, Yeah. Mean, So look at the season. He's have you don't make the call in 2021. Maybe wait till 2025. Well, the other thing to Murphy's. Let's say, Let's say the they moved Buster Posey to first base after he got injured. In that in that collision at home plate, and then a lot of people wanted. Lot of sports writers. A lot of baseball people said You've got to move him because he is so valuable as a hitter. Well, his numbers probably Would be better. If you did move them to first. But I don't know how much better And then he's not a hall of Famer. If if you put those numbers and you match those up against first baseman So he's at the right spot. This is worth and he was from the very get go. He said. No, I'm not going to move. This is where I belong. This is where I like it. I know I get fall tips. I know I get things off of my son. I know I've I mean, he gets beat up all the time. Claude balls off the Basque. I mean, he's he's been on the D L for Or squared up flower balls off his catcher's mask. He's had to go through that. So I mean, he's had to suffer because of the position he's had. But in my mind Uh, you know, I think he's a Hall of Famer and and I listened to When I'm in my car, I'll bounce around and listen to the the guys on the MLB network and and for the most part, they're on our side on this. They all think that They've watched the Hall of Famer for the last 10 years. And I hope we get to watch him for another four or five. I really do. You know, it's funny. We're talking about this today, Duane because yesterday during the broadcast, Mike, uh, was talking about Yadier Molina. And saying that he's this guy's Hall of Famer and that when his career is over, he will wind up in Cooperstown and I and I don't disagree by the way but outside of Molina and Buster if they both wind up in Cooperstown Anybody else have this? Well, Joe Mauer is the name is going to bring up I was going to say that anybody don't forget catchers, our caught but now had to stop catching after I wrote it down here. 885 games busters at 1000 16. So that's just one of their names. Yeah. Is there anybody else Dwayne that were That's a Hall of Fame catcher caliber of that status..

"Like who's durant ultimately going to belong to when he goes to the hall of fame. I guess that's a part just because i'm old. I have a hard time. Like clements is really the first guy that was like this from my generation where it's like the red sox fans i will you laugh fuck you. He's that not really yankee. Who's a blue jay for couple of years. And then he astros. I felt that way about carlton fisk. He's ours but not really right. Played with key was i know he's at the weights wasn't the red sox wasn't yours to rain. It's like now. He's so brilliant in it's like this new era were in our. It's just like burgess. Kevin durant fans and i talked my son. My son is thirteen and he has friends that just root for players don't have teams and get where we're going with this so durant is just so singularly brilliant and it kinda belongs to him and the durant fans and these that's fans that showed up week ago and it's just a weird we just think just think of kevin durant didn't wear a shoe size. That was once is too big They would've won. His foot was on the line if he has regular size sneakers on it. Hit the That would be a three and they would have won he just. He's the most versatile offensive player. I've ever seen it. It's funny steve. Kerr's getting a lot of flack or whatever today. Because he said that what he said. Kevin durant was the most gifted player. He's ever seen more. Gifted the michael jordan and people are going crazy i understand. Exactly what steve kerr saying don't you. He's not saying that. Kevin durant better than michael jordan or a these just saying look at that body seven eight whatever he said this two years ago. I don't know i do. He said this would coachie. 'cause we got the attention span of a gnat. That's why the other thing is steve. Kerr's i think the only guy from that generation who's willing to admit something that they as you know. I revere that generation larry lands by guy all that stuff but like i'm sorry the players are better offensively. Now they sure are. They made higher difficulty shots. And in fact if you ran in nineteen eighty six we would have thought. He landed from a spaceship. Exactly you know it's like while you know we do. We would have put him on the post and have it robert perez garden. You're out you're we'd been like seven footer. What are you. What are you doing out there. Get back down there. You know i was thinking during that quicker suns game. 'cause that i went to the game stay exteriors like i don't know five different guys that he checks her in the game and company unbelievable nobody. Has we vinnie johnson. The microwave because he could come in and he could make five straight. Seventeen footer johnson. And now i'm watching a game. Where reggie jackson is twenty. Four and a half as terrence mann also has twenty five points and a half and i'm like right the sports is i think i think it's just offensively better. I don't know if it's more fun to watch. Well i if did well and they also. I always go back to the hand check role once they took that away. It just became impossible to guard these guys on the perimeter. Impossible and grab is a good example like he just would have gone where we won and the year after they did that. If i'm not mistaken the year after they made that rule. I'm pretty sure allen iverson the league in scoring. i'm pretty sure that's the case. And so that tells you everything you need to know having said that. Look at durant the rankin. He could beat you off the dribble. He can create his own shot. he can shoot threes. He shoots free throws he can. He's got a lefty hook. A righty hook. He could score out of the post like he's unbelievable. He's unbelievable and i. I mean i do think and talking with him. His genuine goal is to win three championships in brooklyn and then make it that his place his team his legacy now. That could happen this year but a lot of weird stuff happened and the problem is kevin durant. Kevin durant see thirty two or something. It's thirty two while he's says two titles that he basically left on the table right. Nineteen they would won. He doesn't get it. And then this year that i think they would one doesn't get it right. That's you know. Lebron has four. And it's probably the right number. I think if you really look at his career the over unders like probably four four and a half. You could say he should have won in two thousand eleven but dallas beat them. Yeah hundred beat him and now he shouldn't have went into those fourteen fifty and they had all the injuries. Maybe that's the one. But i don't know if they should have one and sixteen jay mom punches him in the balls right. You know bogus out. Member boga going yet. The fours the right number for him but as four is the right number for durant afterwards scene but seattle take durant cares about that stuff you know like. He doesn't like lebron constantly looking at his legacy. The far reach. And can i you know jordan and that whole thing. I just don't think durant honest to god the amount of times i've talked to them. I just think kevin durant is searching for something he's never gonna find. I really believe that. I think he. Searching for this. Inner peace this.

"Series teams and his face the franchise and all of that and it really looked like he was kinda done. I mean you know. Twenty nineteen the power just evaporated and really twenty eighteen to and then the injury and it's like is he going to be able to come back at all out only is he back but his all the way back. Maybe better than that. And yeah maybe using him. A little more sparingly than in his prime but it just. I don't know how you could expected anything remotely like this and think we. I don't even remember if we talked about him. Much on our reviews aikman it was like almost an afterthought like yeah you hope that he can come back and kind of hold his own but being a superstar seemed like way too much to ask and that is exactly what has happened and the giants are says a whole like their non pitchers have a one fourteen. Wrc plus that is third in baseball behind the astros and the dodgers and like even when i think of good giants teams. I don't necessarily think of good hitting or great hidden giants team so this is different and you know it was kind of case last year too so the giants hit now apparently yet and one of the things when posey was easy. Had the big time leg injury. I was doing a lot of research Just to kind of figure out okay. What's a historical comparison and succeed. Jason kendall many find all these catchers get hurt in their early twenties and they flame out in their thirties and there were a lot of unflattering comparisons at the so. It's almost like jason. Kendall was listen if he can just get that on. Base percentage of a little bit play solid defense. You know he could play into his thirties in. Put the one name that kept popping up like like a devil on my shoulders like carlton fisk one. You know it's like you know that that no lie. Carl does that as one of the all time historical baseball outliers and mike. I go well. He's jason kendall many fist. You know it's like it just kept ringing in my head in like he's kind of on like he's not gonna playtex forty five most likely but if you want a historical comp maybe current fiscus it because carlton fisk in his thirties. All of a sudden like yeah. You know he'll give you some on base percentage but the powers pantagon getting creaky. Don't worry about it. And then when he hit like thirty five now he's hitting thirty home runs. Thirty seven runs a season. And it's like oh okay. So maybe maybe that's the call one kind of amazing that they've done all of this. How many games have they even. Got tyler stella. Look he's been sidelined with a hamstring injury. I kind of forgot for second. Tommy will sell. It was even on this team right right. He was dying. Offseason addition rightly multi. Year deal we all in on. Tommy ells stella. I think i made a lot of bad jokes last time. And he tweeted hammy and it was put on the sixty day i l and so the they're even gonna get some reinforcements at some point. I would imagine here. It's just amazing. Good hitting joints team. What i know in the whipping is is. It's not like everything's going right. You know you can point at a team. And like wow yeah. They've got like five or six headers going bananas. you've got donovan. solano very home you've got alex dickerson. His on base percentage is under three hundred. I thank you. Mike is trump's good. Mvp votes getting great austin slater's fine but he's there's more in there wilmer. Flores is struggling research bonus struggling mytalk ministry like e-e-e-e-no apart from the injuries they have a lot of hitters who were just sort of a kind of their aso. It's even that part surprising. They don't have the guys. Were just absolute drags on the lineup. Though and i think that's the difference. Yeah and i know you know sarasin in beggarly wrote a one piece last november about the giants offensive reinvention and joe sheehan wrote about this recently and just showed how much the chance approach has changed just from twenty nineteen to twenty twenty one their ranks in the nfl in these categories twenty nineteen. They were thirteenth and walks now. They're second or they were when to wrote this twenty nineteen. They were twelfth in. Poll percentage. Now third they were eleventh in fly. Ball percentage now fourth so they've sort of transformed into like this launching goal. Pull the ball. Take advantage of the high homer era type offense and i guess maybe partly is that because of the changes in orca park making those changes more beneficial or is it a different group of hitters or is it a different group of coaches. Because you've got you know eighteen coaches on this coaching staff now and it's a different regime and may be more progressive one and so i wonder how much of it is change in personnel change in the conditions of the ballpark versus change in just instruction or the type of approaches. That are emphasized by this regime. I would say that. The giants have a lot of players who are able to spit the ice cream out so to speak. They have a lot of disciplines like approaches. Where they they're buying into the idea of we're going to get our pitch in crush it. We're not scared to get to two strikes not scared striking out. We just want to swing at the most notable that we can. And it's not like that's an old you strategy. I mean everyone knows. Ted williams in stuff like that so it's not like they're trying to reinvent the wheel it's just they have by it. They have players who are able to be disciplined in that way. But i will say that. I have not heard a bad thing. I haven't heard anything off. The record. Haven't heard anything where there's been player. It's gonna gosh. There's just too many cooks in the kitchen. With regards to all the coaches shoot for the most part on the record off the record. I've heard it's great. They're able to really tailor a plan for you. You're able to get more attention during we'll get Like a deeper dive into the data that specifically to you what are you screwing up on. What are the strikes that you want to avoid like you know. That's that's something that a lot of the players have said it's they don't want to swing at their bad strikes the ones that get called strikes. And they're okay with that because the can't do much with it so just knowing that is out there and having a tailored plan. I think it's made a big difference. I think we've also seen the taylor. Plan approach manifesting itself on the pitching side. Which is my way of giving you an open platform to talk about cows splitter for a little while if you'd like to you i mean it's it's been interesting writedowns wrote about this for us. Recently the underlying characteristics of that pitch. You know when you look at it. Spinners philosophy are not that different. But how he's deploying it as he's throwing in zone have has changed meaningfully and he's getting really good results and i'm curious what his process was working with the front office on that. Because you know. He's one of those guys. We kind of expected to break out for a long time. Just because of his prospect pedigree and then it didn't happen and now here we are with him leading the first place and pitching more grant. This is really confusing to me. I feel like we're missing. I don't like the is screen thing. I if i were gave kappler. I wouldn't want people to tell that story. But i will say i wasn't. I don't quite believe in it. I just think it's a funny way to describe discipline on the team..

"We're going to try to win the National League Central this year. And it's going to tie his hands on. I don't At this moment the Cubs continue play like this. They're keeping everyone and they try to win the division. One player that comes to mind is David Peralta of the Arizona Diamondbacks, because the time and backs are free, falling. The amount of loss is that they are planning a quickly there now on the seller's list, and it sounds like through the through the grapevine that you already have Major league teams calling up the Diamondbacks and asking about players at this moment. There is Starling Marte, a with the Miami Marlins. But the problem with the Marlins is that even though they're below 500, nobody is running away with the National League East. So if the New York Mets keyed up And they start piling up wins and the Marlins look at themselves 8 10 games behind the Mets. When we get into early July, Starling Marte, I think would be a good option. He's a free agent after this year. I know he bats right handed, but he doesn't have difficulties. A sparse with the platoon. He's a veteran guy, and you get him into a pennant race that might spark something. And then if you have a Starling, Marty out of in platoon in right field, LaRussa still want to do that. Had the heck of a lot better on out of meeting Adam mingled with unit right field and mark taken still fake it in Satterfield, depending on police, Robert situation so Find the sky right now. I think it's darling Marty with the Miami Marlins. But again, the issue is the Marlins there still in that race in the National League East because everyone's having issues. I mean, I don't know if you guys touched on in the news coming out of Atlanta last night with Marcellus Yeah, yeah, it's a big step. Yeah, in the mess of 17 guys on the injured list, so Well, see, I think the best option right now is David faulty with the Diamondbacks, But if we wait a month, there could be better outfielders available for the white and would angle, then go to center. Because when I get Robert back anytime soon. Yeah, well, I don't know how much of a believer are you and Billy Hamilton. Uh, came by game is trash. He could turn out a change up. So he did yesterday. So Adam Ingles gotta play center because Adam Eagle In my opinion is a Gold Glove caliber center field. Just like Louise Rogers. Yeah. Were you were surprised as I was. And maybe you knew this ahead of time. They Yes, Money Ground Alcott, both games of a doubleheader yesterday. The first guy since Carlton Fisk and 89 That surprised me. Is it just because there were definitely doubleheaders that over that span? Because I want to thought Pierzynski would have done it if there were double headers while he was here with white sacks. And that's a great question. But you don't always cared any day. In the sense of Yeah, you will catch Game one. But if you really want to play, I'm gonna have you GHT aim too, because I need you tomorrow or I need you to get on the plane right? Healthy enough to play. The following day. So as he always took care of AJ presents keys in that regard, I think the only reason why God's Bonnie did it is that LaRussa looked at him. It's like it's 14 innings against the Baltimore Lauren. Yeah. Can you give in 14 innings? Against the possible Arnold and you know? Yeah, yes And, yeah, the first catches since 19 midnight way haven't seen it in decades. Friends. You could get caught in like a 13 inning game one of the doubleheader and then you try to turn around and have your catcher try to catch another night. That's always becomes a three game work days where the catcher so Yeah, it is a bit surprising, but, uh, yeah, with the seven. Any doubleheaders? I'm kind of surprised We're not seen it more often. Yeah, well, that's what I thought, too. Another minute or two here, which Ash Nelson from the sax machine. We always talk every year, it seems, is Lana's Moncada and a brave rather team that don't worry in May, they'll heat up. Is that what we're starting to see right now? We're seeing that as far as you look at the top 10 players, according to wins above replacement on Fangraphs you on the kata is tense and Major League baseball in war and a lot of that is his defense. He is playing really good defense at third base like I think he's got to be one of the leaders. In American League for the Gold Glove at third base. And as we saw on yesterday and gave one as far as his home run swing, it's things like the power starting to come around. He's hitting the ball well, but it's a lot of line drives and it's a lot of line drives at outfielders, and they're taking away his extra base it so it's been a lot of single. That's why His slugging percentage is slightly above his on base percentage. But Fred When was the last time we saw White Sox hitter carry of 4 11 on base percentage like it's been, it's been years. Maybe Jim told me it has been years since we have seen that. Even though the power is slowly coming. He's still doing a good job getting those singles. He's one of the best hitters for the White Sox with runners in scoring position. Yes, He does strike out looking at times, but he also takes his walk, so he's trying to whatever he can to make up the loss of power..

"Wow. So you know, they haven't said that about a brave yet. Actually, it did. It did say a brave He's playing first base. How good his energy level B down From what running around the bases. Wow. Yeah, but even the even the video game does that it tells you toe. I've never seen that done so I haven't played sports. Yang stayed a long time that that's something you would see on like a Pokemon. Yeah, that's my son used to play Where is like, Okay, Energy levels down. You gotta go get you know whatever token, you get reenergized, but in sports really s So the only way to get their energy level up is to just say you sit him down for a game and rest him. You can't give me a special Gatorade. Drink it all son. Amazing into a superpower. Maybe you can. Maybe you need to get, you know, get some of the Some rewards or something like that. One of the rewards could be an extra extra large Gatorade red container They can put in the dugout or something. But I'm looking at a J percent ski. And when a J was here with white sacks, he wouldn't catch all the time. And when I see all the time, I'm looking here. 128 games 140 years 136 1 34. What is it really a month and that's like maybe 67 games in a row and the day off, maybe Yeah, Whatever. Well, yeah, do the math, but it's it's 140 minutes 22 games, right, So that's really those days off a really space down, So it's It's nice to see that he was able to go on out there and just play and catchers do that. That's why a lot of catches you you know, that's why, when catches do have a long career, it's amazing because their squat like Gotti Yeah, Yeah, All those guys Yadi and even you know, Yvonne Rodriguez, Tony Pina, pay dia Carlton Fisk. That's why he had to stay in such great shape because he played forever. AJ played for a long time We played 19 years in the big leagues. I didn't realize it was 19. I didn't either until I just looked at it 19 years in the big leagues and even the last his last year, he caught half the season he caught 81 games for Atlanta. So I mean, that's pretty darn good. So when I see a stat like yesterday, it, Zeke, I shake my head. You're gonna tell me that there hasn't been a doubleheader where a guy were like the Monday was off. And this whole time there is a bit of double header. Then the next day was often the White Sox had the same catcher catch both halves. That's amazing to me in all these years, right? And I guess they just do it. You know, it's standard practice. I guess. 3123323776. We're going to Carol Stream and Charlie Charlie. What's up, Charlie? Hey, thanks for taking my call. I just want to comment. Um, you know you guys were talking about Players. Baseball players playing three hours a game and hockey players get down on the ice for a couple of minutes and getting back off again and and and whatnot, but You know, it's not just about playing a three hour game and having the rest of the day off. Of Especially in hockey and hockey. You know, you look at Duncan Keith fucking keys will play 25 26 minutes of ice time. And then after the game, he will go and do a full workout. You know, and his prime? Yeah. Is these baseball players? Yeah, They're on the field for three hours and then They don't necessarily have the rest of that they some of them has to go and do what they can especially the less talented athletes because in order to stay in the show You've got to do the extra things. You've got to go in the cage after the game. You've got going to change before games. It's I just disagree with the fact that that You know, you guys are commenting and they just They're just They're for X number of hours or X number of minutes. You're right, though. You're right, though, about the guys that the guys that do that More more after the game because everybody's there early. For the most part, they're they're early, taking BP taken fielding practice and stuff. But the guys who stick around after the game where the guys to stay for a long time, like I.

"He's throwing everything alone in the dirt and Javi biases, enjoying every ball that he threw. Is Harvey biases just going crazy. He's imitating the jump shot that America would do is he was going off the field after a strikeout, and after the bases loaded walk, Javi is just doing the whole jump shot thing in the back of the dugout standing on the thing. Having an awesome time. Hashtag changed the game quite and they're having fun. They're They're having fun with that, And at first, I said, taunting, and I said, I'm not really It was like I said, he's not talking to you just imitating him. Hey, this is what the guy does restraints people out, So I'm going to do it when he walks with God with the bases loaded, right. That's what he did in a key situation in yesterday's game, so the Cup game they blew that open. It was a close game. It turns out 10 to 2. They won six in a roll. Four run sixth inning help something that area to going today. Um, he had a rough game The other day he was down. I want to say three. Nothing comes came back, and actually, he ended up either winning pitcher because he calmed down after that, and pitched a lot better so Mm. Get a lot of white sex again. I'm still shocked that yes, my granddad was the first sax catcher to catch both games of a doubleheader since Carlton Fisk. I was shocked, and I'm glad to see that there, you know. Making him work. I mean, he's making some money. What's making the old lady said He doesn't mean they're all making money. But I look look, we expected more out of him. So yeah, you know, playing my I would think that he's probably going to play just one on Monday tomorrow. You would think so, while you guys have today, especially of road odd pitches because No Dad and college have a pretty good report. They're locked Pitcher catcher Well, and that's good because Zach Collins is nice to see Zach Collins is getting some credit for his improved defensive play. And so we'll see how that goes as we go along 3123323776. It is Memorial Day weekend and people love to grill. I was over at my girlfriend's house yesterday, Linda And she she took a Pork loin. Yeah, it's underlined shirt and cut it on in marinated it. And then through that grill in pieces so everybody could get pieces that I haven't caught it. Everything else. Awesome. Yeah, awesome way of making it. I had never thought of that. But she had a lot of people to feed. They were like night of us yesterday. So you so obviously did you grill before that? A lot of people just wait till Memorial Day. Yeah, we grill in the winter, do you If we I mean, look, if we don't have to trudge through the snow to get to the grill, and this year we had so much snow. There was no getting to the grill. If you don't shovel that first time, then you're screwed. But, yeah, well, we'll grill throughout the year. It doesn't matter we've got we've got to pull up another poll just for Memorial Day food. Your favorite things to have on the grill of Memorial Day. Hot dogs, Rats, burgers, ribs. Yeah, but those are the simple go to Yeah, the hot dogs, brats, burgers, ribs. I have agreed to it a little more involved, but they're the best on the girl. Yeah, I haven't seen but I'm I make my better in the oven. I love making my ribs in the oven. You know what you don't you? My wife, Katie can make anything on a Weber is an artiste on a Weber. I'm serious. There's nothing she can't do. I was gonna say charcoal or gas. But then we'll get a ton of callers. But maybe you want to jump out in because my girlfriend swears by charcoal Settling the mess. Watch your hands. Come on. I don't want to mess up. The gas is so easy. Flip it. I know. I know You're all about easy. You don't even know what a law more is. I do. You've seen what I got from afar comes over and kiss my grand. You've seen it from afar. You know, it's got a motor on. It must have a blade on it has wheels. Push it. I was sitting there enjoying a beverage when I saw my girlfriend cutting the grass the other day. I said You missed a spot over there. Wow. She loves cutting the grass. What can I tell you? Ok, She loves gardening and cutting the grass. So I had to put him to work. Please. I want to hear a story of him actually doing. I think I cleaned the house inside. Okay. I'm really good at that stuff. That's why you don't have any son. That's why you don't have any color to your skin. Your translucent You're right about that. There's no doubt so your favorite things to grill. Memorial Day weekend. Hopefully everybody stays safe. "It's just weird. Well, there's a lot I think about it in there. There are other holidays. Or other holidays where people say, um You know happy, and it shouldn't be. You know, he's happy. Happy Fourth of July is okay. Yeah, that's fine. We're celebrating. We should be coming up soon. So usually comes up right after you say did you need to say that, but that's all right. It comes up usually right after June, Um So, yeah, that the holiday we fund the White Sox played a doubleheader yesterday to seven inning games. And then they play a game today and they played a double header. And they were trying to avoid that. Like, really, really. I mean, what was it? Not a clock that they called it know about 8 30. By Friday, finally, and then the If I'm not mistaken. The Cleveland Indians have a doubleheader today. Yep. And then a doubleheader Tomorrow could be worse. Yeah, it could solve could be worse. Sacked with five games in three days. The Indians have four games in two days. You see, they play Grandi twice. Tony put him in two games in a row. Yeah. I was going to bring that up because I can't believe a J percent Ski didn't play both games of a doubleheader for the White Sox. Now there's a lot more doubleheaders now than there were when a J was catching for the White Sox. But it was shocking to me. That's the first time since Carl attach her since Carlton Fisk in 1989. I'm sure the contrary is for the Cubs is caught both games of a doubleheader. I would think I mean it just and and now it's only like it's like you're catching an extra inning game. You catch seven innings and you get to go sit down for half an hour and then you go out and catch seven more innings, so You know, and people will watch his body grand dollar. He walks really Well, um, gets on base with walks, and he hits home runs. Sometimes he doesn't always catch the ball anyway, so He's not like the best of it. Your favorite thing yesterday, too. You got another one of those catcher's interference. And I missed that. I didn't see it was game set. Itwas I believe, yes, it was. But I will say like I watched that I will say Len had a great explanation for people who don't understand why that is happening. Okay, let's hear it. Let's see what this is, and I'm paraphrasing that, actually, Len said. The idea when you're framing a pitch is when the pitch comes over the plate. That's where the college so you're trying to catch. It is soon as it gets behind the plate to be able to frame it. And there's that balance there. And that's why, yes, money is getting into trouble. You know he's trying to catch it too soon because he's trying to frame it. And I thought that that was a pretty good explanation that Collins has a fuel to this. She does. So if you guys from so there is that up around the league, I bet you that might be up around the league. He can't just be the White Sox. I have not seen a White Sox game where they guessed the White Sox system within the rest of the 29 teams combined. Come back, okay. Okay, least turned the haven't Seven. Oh, there. No, I no doubt no doubt. I'm pretty sure grand dollars, got five and two for Zach Collins that I can remember after yesterday's because this shit but see, That's another reason that there should be the automated strike zone. Then you don't have to do that. Then you can just sit back. The ball came over the worry about trying to fudge it cheating basically. It's another way of cheating. Get what you're doing is you're tricking. The man is leaning against you for over seven innings, Right? You're you're tricking the home plate umpire into trying to get a strike called. That's alright, well, obvious and the umpires every single game I can see a tweet. And someone says the umpires are brutal. They missed that call balls and strikes every single game. They're bad, and I know people say I heard Len KASPER said a couple weeks ago. The umpires are really good. Yeah. They're not perfect, and that's what it seems like. They're getting worse. And I was talking to Jesse about this When you had the day off was like they're getting worse. However, are they getting worse or is because we have more information? As viewers. I don't know what it is right. We never knew back in the day when the Braves were throwing with mathematics, and Smaltz and Glavine and they were getting calls outside and everything else. They didn't have the K Zone. They didn't have the box. The red list since the information that we have now that really points out their mistakes, and I would not call out Len KASPER, and hopefully he's listening. I'm not calling, let out. I'm not calling anybody out. But on TV now, NBC Sports Chicago When they're doing the games, they don't only tell you how fast the pitches they tell you. What kind of pitch it is. And how do they do that? It's pretty good that I'm not sure it's awesome, but I'm guessing it Zal speed base where, Okay, each picture there's speeds. So 93 95. It's gonna be four seamer 92 to 90 or 89 going to sink or something. 87 day 85 changes That's pretty awesome that you're bigger punching in stats for individual pictures to be able to measure what they're doing based on that because I'm watching the game the other day. And I'm listening to lend cash because I always turn the TV volume down for a lot of reasons. And then I listened to. You never heard that. That's weird, and I listened to it on my my, my smart speaker. Okay, so I listened to what? I sink it up and I'm listen and I want to the game. And all of a sudden I see a pitch and it says Cutters of like that. And I here, Len KASPER go straight to in the cutter, and I'm going Mm hmm. Does he know?.

White Sox Len KASPER Zach Collins two days Tony two games 1989 Carl five games Carlton Fisk Cubs 29 teams Collins three days Jesse Cleveland Indians Glavine five Tomorrow four games

You know, um You like another guy on another team, Right? And I remember my first baseball game being a Sox game blocks and Sammy Sosa on the Al feel right. I wasn't raised that way because all my friends and I we, there were Cubs fans of Sox fans, and it made the robbery a ton of fun, and it still is. See, Josh is kind of like some young people today that he's cherry picking stars, right? And I'm wrong with that, either, right? They're not golden State fans or Steph Curry thing. Yeah, And I told you get that he sees Carlton Fisk. Well, I was a fist fan, too. He comes over from the Red Sox and 81. Then the Sox way we get to the playoffs and 83. I'm thinking That's my team because of how good that was. There was a commitment there from Einhorn and rise off at that time to get that team in position to get to the to the playoffs. Correct. So I get and then he falls in love. Easy mentioned with Sammy Sosa. Panther Panther was terrible. So she was awful. He was that he was. I mean, I mean, if you were in on the bleachers, watching you just watch that ball sail right into third base dugout. He had a holes, man. But what an art.
