"Twenty twenty as well Brad Jordan killed scarface Mr Brad Jordan. Thank you again for taking taking the time today. I WANNA get as many questions as I have time for. Is You have time forced on. Just GonNa Start Cool. Hang away for starters. Could you briefly flee. Explain the G. Code for all the white people that are listening funny. Yeah I'm mad at a g code code of the streets in which we go by right. It's an oath that we took to get involved in these streets to not In other words did not put people's business industries example. Say You my friend Ross. I had a situation going on with your neighbor. Okay and you took a visiting your neighbors beer and took took it to him you know and I know about you. See It on yourself in the car and I knew about it and you know I never I never ratted you out. Okay hold doc. I basically the G. Code is is to be able to keep a secret. You know secret that take to the grave. Have you done anything saying that. You would like any type of SIP that you've done in your life that you'll never tell you did. Oh Hell yeah okay. Well that's a G.. Code Keeping G.. Code Coke now. It's time to jump into our first and only segment for today with Houston Astros All star Pitcher Lance mccullers. Junior junior lance is joining us in the studio. He's about to walk in Houston stand up. Let's fucking go. Let's talk baseball all right shall we. The season obviously did not end the way that the Astros or the fans would've liked with another ring. It was still an incredible season and incredible experience. I got to go to game seven. It was the coolest sporting event I've ever been at live even with the loss. Yeah it was still the most electric aspen atmosphere. That I've ever been a part of boy. What does that experience like as a player as a professional athlete to come so close in for you? I know it was a weird season. A different type of deal where you're recovering from an injury going going through rehab but still the feeling is the same part of the team these your boys. You obviously want the ring at the end of it all and to fall short of your goal as a team. How do you handle title that I think he just do? You know what I mean like I don't you go and just keep going. I mean We are first taste of like real success. Assess was my first year so I believe two thousand fifteen you know. We went to the playoffs and zero people. Expect the playoffs. I mean maybe a handful I think you during Spring Training Jeff and always addressed the group and they were like we legitimately think that we have the pieces here and the pieces in the minors to come up throughout the Arab speaking about like me and Carlos Velasco discuss some guys who kind of filtered through that year to help us get to the postseason. Everyone's constant like. Yeah okay. I mean we lost one hundred games. Maybe like a two seasons ago so maybe we're a little ambition. The whole playoffs off seeing right now in place in two thousand fifteen yeah defend okay well in in life but but but you know we we got there and that was super weird because it was kind of like a feeling of happy to be here type thing right and just getting there was like more more than we could have really expected and then in sixteen to make the playoffs. I mean you know. We didn't make it at all. We missed a bike. A game And then seventeen we win so it was just rollercoaster of like not. Anyone expecting us to do anything we're supposed to do something. Sixteen fell completely flat. Win The world series kind of out a nowhere and then an eighteen go back to the LCS lose but then you get back to the rules here. This is supposed to be the year right series. Everything was was was lined up. Perfect I felt like you know all the guys were Kinda rolling into this postseason relatively healthy which is hard to do And we just fell short man it just it happens. We got down To go down to at home we didn't give up though one one three in Washington and then it has beat us man. Strasburg pitched one. Hello game in game. Six and then shares are battle through five Corbin came in did his thing and they just piece together man. I loved Bregman Post game interview because he related it to like this is why baseball is the greatest game on earth. It teaches you about life in how to lose in the end. I mean in life. Sometimes you're gonNA feel like you're set up as best as you possibly as we could be in shits still gonna hit the fan and that's just the way it goes it. Would the difficult thing for me is part of what I've thought a lot about over the past so I don't know four or five six years as Houston has developed up into dislike sports. Hot Metal like we're killing it. Everything is clicking like. We got to Shawn Watson on the Texans at the very least. That's fun to root for. The rockets are awesome. That superstars all over the place. You you guys have been killing it for years now But as a fan. It's a difficult thing to try to re to grapple with. Because you like I love the team. I love everybody on but we didn't win like is it a failure and to me what I've come to terms with is like it's not that's not how it works. It's also about the ride and the experience experience of the whole season in like you've got to be able to pull from it as a fan just like y'all do on the roster to learn from it and then see okay like what. What does this mean for me next season? You know what I mean like my expectations. Well things turned over so quick. I mean and a couple of weeks here guys will start working out again. In Gaza. Preparations for the next season blows my win win or lose. Yes I mean even in seventeen after the world series. You have a couple of weeks where you know. You're kind of living in the living in the glory of winning and doing this talk show or that talk show or traveling traveling here and there and I gotta get back to normal because Were expected to be a good team and to compete again. So do it all over again. That's right I mean so. I definitely don't think our season was a failure. I think that people that are saying that you know maybe a little bit too sport right now the Movement for anyone who is saying that just flat out does not get it. Yeah that's just not true. We definitely didn't accomplish ultimate goal. That's one hundred percent obvious but to say this season was a failure failure The new team record in wins one of the best offenses and defenses in baseball. One of the best pitching staffs I mean we just. We just can't do little short. And then you you turn the page and you you try to learn from it it and try to win next year. We have the very wise and very tall. CK Chen winning again but again all of this stuff office some complete satire right is complete. And that's what we're saying. Is that the difficulty about the whole thing. Is that you you. It's an inability to separate. Berate them in the the medium from like from the from the content. I mean growing up and you know you and I are similar. Age is going up in high school. Middle-school your Momma jokes where the big Oh yeah you know what I mean. And that's part of the whole thing. It's like you could tell a your mom joke about someone about Mama Automobile Fat. Even if their mom was a fat I wasn't talking about your. I'm just talking about someone close to you and I'm GonNa make something funny and the image that comes out of saint you. I'm talking about a funny time. But it's funny because you you mentioned that is because depending on the audience. It's like it's one of those things if something happened to someone's mom And not knowing that in that audience and you throw out a your mom joke. It's like even his it's it's N- tend to be not that even that one person maybe even friends kind of like Yo. That's not cool and you're like why and you're like well this guy's moms right and then you're like Joe and then you can tell at that moment you're just like me. I'm not really trying to. We're not trying to cap on trying to cap on your Momma at the. This is what we're doing. You know I was looking at it. Brought me up to this I don't know if you remember the story talking about Catharsis comedy like they're talking about the Hugh hefner roast remember number. Remember the comedy central. I don't know if you did you. Watch the documentary about aristocrats. Yes so they talk about that to talk about The have you no. I don't even know what you gotTa Talk. Is a documentary about this joke in inside. It's like an inside. It's like a secret handshake amongst comedians apparently particularly generation animation. Before I mean like I said I mean anybody who know their craft is basically. This joke starts off with a quick rundown starts off with somebody going into a tail into to a talent agency and says hey I got an act for you. The Guy Describes the act and depending on who the comedian is who you are you go into describing the most offensive offensive terrible. Act that you could possibly do his family and they call themselves the aristocrats and like it depending on the community and they don't even the punchline linus there so basically what happens while this dude comes in and the MOM stabs dad in the face and yet again all this other crazy stuff the kid takes shit on the and and what the other kids peeing on the dog and then so after the whole thing and you're supposed to in the talent agent is like shocked and like obviously what what in the world you call this act and the aristocrats and I I think you're talking about apparently the legend and they made a documentary about it. The Legend is that this joke. I mean probably existed at a time when you were making fun of the aristocrats the people that were like love that level royalty. It'd be like if we said that same joke and then like the senators whatever it is and so anyways the whole thing about it. Is You know where this this goes. The inside joke amongst comedians know about this whole thing. It's almost one of those things that generally people don't use it because it's this this like I said it's like a secret. See Your hands anyway. So the story goes that on nine twelve literally the day after nine eleven they filmed the the comedy central roast of Hugh Hefner. Wow and so that was data set up right unintentional and they said the whole room obviously full of celebrities full of Comedians and they were like the tension in the room was obviously as high as it than this country's been in years. I can't imagine right. And so then they say Gilbert Godfrey he'd went up there to do is is present presentation in starts this joke right and starts aristocrat joke..

But I'm going to have the rocks who'd we gotta go meet priorities So we we like lead our seats we go back through like The whole suite that everyone that was There that Carlos had set up with was on the sweet walked down on an elevator like through these tunnels. Apparently there's a feeder inside of Madison Square Garden where they have like concerts and stuff. Before I know idea that even existed didn't know that he walked by a bunch of secret service people. 'CAUSE 'cause trump was there and we were like walking through this little ton like little like hallway with single lights and then someone someone like all right. Dj they're here a military bunker down there mike that yeah so then we we turn the corner and there he was. I mean bigger than you could imagine in in in our picture that I posted it doesn't it doesn't give it doesn't do him. Justice to how big is right. He's a solid like I would say six service. Felice six five six like what he's just a master hundred eighty three hundred pounds solid muscle. Yeah I always wanted to go back and unlike watch the rock clips from when he was leading people at the U or wherever he played football he was you talked about. He told me lived in Tampa. So I'm from originally. Yeah so his dad was a wrestler right Rockstar. And you know around Tampa We have some friends that are big into wrestling down down in Florida and They have like a big circuit. That runs down through there so we lived in Tampa for a while. Now where'd you live in Tampa and I was like oh like up near like the care would area. He knew exactly what I was talking about. It was it was cool talking to the rock about like normal lifestyle normal life stuff. Yeah yeah that's a weird experience at a lot of people don't get to have. Let's talk baseball all right shall we. This season obviously did not end the way the Astros or the fans would have liked with another ring. It was still an incredible season and incredible experience. I got to go to game seven. "Him a little bit later a here's, a text from the two to five Bro. Horrible without you, actually called the station to check on your current employment, situation LL glad you're back we missed you Yeah well if you call it a check on my employment situation here I'm not sure are you gonna. Talk to, and I'd be worried about who you talk, to. Because some people may may tell you different stuff on that but anyways let's. Get. To what I. Did on Saturday And it was. On my, bucket list for years and years and years To go watch a professional boxing max You know some rag tag. Semi pro. Boxing match in some dingy, Jim somewhere, I'm talking about big time boxing match and I wanted to do here, in New Orleans since I was. Here but they just haven't had, anything, there was no big time, major boxing mid championship level event here. New Orleans since two thousand and two I was talking to Andrew Lopez dot com out here. At the law school fight on Saturday he, was telling us that when it's true so it'd been what. A decade and half since that, happened, so it was the local kids Ruger ru Regis. Program against one Carlos Velasco of Argentina I believe probably still pretty bummed about a soccer. Team on Saturday out at lakefront, arena and I will tell you what what an incredible atmosphere that was as. A sports fan really is a human but especially as a, sportsman pageantry It was kind of visceral human level watching to. Incredible athletes incredible fighters dual it, out, and especially when you're watching somebody here from the. City New Orleans who is in incredible promoter of the city in New Orleans and now. He is the still the world, title holder holder in reaches program as really had no problem with the Juan, Carlos Velasco first couple of rounds I was sitting next to t Bob Barron a couple of other people and we were kind of rating the matches on our own or rating say scoring the rounds on our own and we had, the first couple of rounds of draw I didn't actually look at the official scorecards to see what the the judges said but there's a little bit. Intrigued at the beginning but at the last couple around you saw that this is programs fight and I am not. Sure beyond what happened in the. Actual fight. Because it was actually pretty good finding the hometown. Guy one but I'm not sure that, I've had more fun at a sporting event here in New Orleans recently VIN that one mainly because I was. Actual fan so when I'm covering the saints or LSU or, any big, time basketball event. Pelicans almost all the time I'm there I'm sitting in the media box I'm working I can't be a fan focusing on other. Stuff this is one of the rare times but relatively few times here in the city able to attend a major sporting in in the city spe- fan And we were on the floor and I'm hope ESPN and I hope boxing officials were watching what happened there, at the lakefront arena because it was almost sold out the sections that they had open it was allowed people were dancing cheering having fun it was. Incredible it was absolutely incredible it's something I'd one or two for very long time and to say it's exceeded my. Expectations would be a disservice because..
