"Kind of chased valley was just Never GonNa win that day in any kind of funky start that day. So but I think somebody might be a little bit of a play against just because think there's some other speed like Rinaldi. So I don't think he's GonNa get like the cozy of trips. So I was a little more on cross-border side and particular. But what I was getting at is it doesn't seem like there's the. As many in of the like layover raises, you know Mr Buff and some of these tape races been one to five and just kind of a free square doesn't seem like there's a lot of that at least later on in the car at the Belmont, the Hudson probably the one I'm the most excited about these this older sprinter new. York bred. Group. They take turns running against each other a lot. You Know Arthur hope. Tease love, fi my boy tate I mean they you know they just kind of trade off and on and my point eight got an ice. No condition allowance went down parks last time really really drew off and. To. Starts back had finished second to stay in the man stand the man's pretty good New York bread type. So I, kind of thought maybe my boy tastes just kind of gotten out of not out of form but just maybe not as good as he was when he was. He had a little hot streak there back in in two thousand eighteen where he was rattling off a lot of wins and. I just thought that maybe those days were kind of I am and maybe they're not maybe maybe he kind of gets back to do what he does. You know he loves a fight hasn't won in quite a while but manny just seems to hit the board almost every time and six, hundred, ten, thousand dollars this horses earned. Kind of the the proof that it pays to be New York bred a radical ski one that shows up in the empire distaff for Graham motion. I knew somebody else a train this horse until recently I saw it was Brian Lynch. radical ski was a winner last year when I was. At Belmont for this day and Showing up against critical value for Jeremie engelhardt. Lucky move for one Guerrero, Juan Carlos Guerrero, and then Mrs Orb like I said, it just seemed like a very, very fun and good car. A lot of wide open races as low maiden special weight kind of sandwich. The early part of the car is is probably not as interesting it's smaller field and I think maybe A. Couple more races with some logical favorite types. I mean I, think I saw one of the early pick five, pay two hundred bucks or something like that. On on Thursdays Card it was a little jockey but should be a fun day out at at Belmont. Park in the Maryland Million Classic Day, of course, or Mary million, day at Laurel and I I i. i. Follow a little bit more now because of colonial and you know knowing a lot of those horses and I think the classic is kind of fun race this year you have a heavy favourite Harper's I right who I think is Breeders Cup nominated maybe is maybe even enter was the PIMLICO special when you're in I, can't remember they moved a lot of the wind in your hands. But I know this one is nominated for one of the breeders. Cup Races and beat Oh and Dale that day in the Special Card Gortmaker who was third that day is back in here. you know is going to have the Harper's I. Ride is beaten this horse three of its last five stars. So certainly, cord maker going to have to turn things around and you know. I think that's easier. Said than done. Top Line growth was second in the salvator mile behind pirates punch. of course, pirates punch at one the Islam before that but was disqualified and is is going to the British kept but top line growth just horse that was in really good form at Laurel they'd try to take on the grade three horses and ran pretty damn good i. think a major major player in this Maryland million classic. But there's some bigger fields. Some Nice turf races throughout the day Nick Papa Giorgio one of my favorite. Names for the maryland-breds if you've ever seen Vegas Vacation Nick Papa Giorgio is the the fake id name that the that Rusty takes into the casino and then he's new pup Giorgio from Arizona every time I see nick nick pop Giorgio Dave derived I'll give call and I always go from Yuma Arizona but he shows up in the turf which turfs of fun race man it's a there's a few twenty two, one shots in here I think. Don't look like the craziest of. Of options and so one I was kind of even looking at as A. A huge bomber was the worst at the was it the three horse? I mean, he's always a couple of lengths behind the Nick Papa Georgios and and a lot of the other horses in here. But on his best day, he's jumped up and got in the money and that he's going to be a big price number three noble addiction in the the turf but Yeah Funday Fun weekend little quiet on the big race front. But as I said, we'll certainly start talking a lot. More breeders. Cup next week and lead us up to that. Appreciate you guys who who tune into US each and every day two days a week one day a week. Once a month whenever I always. So happy when you find us wish guys the best of luck. This weekend emails, Charles Bima gmail.com keep them.

"They went toe a home for dinner. It was not like they were running around on Rush Street bar to bar unmasked with thousands. Well, it's it's a little bit of both were here and no in first were here and they went to a bar. And then it was. No. They didn't go to a bar. They went to a friend's house. But a lot of people are sceptical of that story, You know? Did you go to if you were just going to a friend's files on DH? We know that you know, I don't know if he was involved at all. But Jason Kipnis, right? He was a former teammate. If they win and said, Hey, can we go over? You know, T C kids. Maybe they would have said Okay, maybe they would have said no. But A lot of people aren't exactly here in Cleveland, believing we just stopped over a friend's house for dinner because, you know, why would you sneak if it was something as innocent as that? So we've kind of got the same information here in Cleveland. A lot of people are sceptical about that information. So what we do know is those guys are in huge trouble because the Indians they don't play around Fran Mill Rays went to 1/4 ofJuly party, you know, during summer camp, and they made him stay away from the team for a few days, just because they saw a picture of him on instagram around a bunch of people, so the Indians they don't play at all when it comes to the protocols for covert 19 well, looking forward to watching these two teams tangled tonight and hopefully There's no fallout from what they did. Has there been any concern that Clevinger may have exposed his teammates by going on the plane? That's the biggest concern. That's the biggest thing right there is everybody's thinking about Carlos Harass Co. I mean, his story was so amazing for him the fight leukemia overcome it, be able to contribute a little last year and then come back this year and be in the starting rotation. Pitching really well is just a great story and people here I mean, just the team and people in Cleveland Love Carlos Guerrero has so much and everyone is just looking going, man. It's incredibly selfish for you to put a cookie in that situation because we know how risky it is for people with previous health conditions to be exposed. The cove it now maybe Kalev. Inter didn't contract anything, And that's best case scenario on that's what everybody's hoping for. Well, I don't know. I could tell you if I was not only caressed go, but any of the guys on that plane, I'd say. Please say You're an idiot. Klinger. That was just awful. What you did that B a tough one to get passed. Yeah. Yeah, And you know, I've kind of heard that That's where you guys found out was on the plane. You know that Clevinger was with him and it was. It took everybody by surprise. And guys were very, very upset. More upset with Levinger than they were with Beck and they were extremely furious with Zack. So I can only imagine. What the fallout will be in the next few days. We get more information as the Indians decide what they're going to do. From a discipline standpoint, I appreciate your time. Have a great danger of the game that I Thanks for having me. Thank you. There you go. I am a golden, ESPN Cleveland, So that is the big story in town. You've got the Browns already off to training camp in there. A lot of people excited about Where their football team may be headed. This year's they keep adding all these high draft picks, they said Baker Mayfield looks amazing, but all they're talking about. You heard what he said. They were really talking about is Not only did these two guys go out, one of them had the audacity to get on the plane knowing he broke over 19 protocol owned by the way, one of the guys on the plane Was in chemo a year year and 1/2 ago for leukemia. Carlos Carrasco that is as selfish and move as I've heard in a long time, and I hope these guys get punished and punished severely. 3123323776 Should the Cubs be fearful of playing the Indians this week? That's next. You're listeningto Cabin.

"But there's just so many things that go on in the day that I don't think people realize I have great appreciation even more now for all my my fellow colleagues and trainers Andrew Learner with us and the the ups and downs Right Here since the start start of del Mar meet. Just you know the script Just you gotta be prepared for anything. while while everybody was hopeful With Princess Story and during the week leading into the Betty grable talk a little bit about preparations for the stake on Saturday Sunday. Yeah I mean we. We thought she was going going into it. Really well I mean she's there's is is so tough she's she's allowed me to try different things with her and Kinda put up with a little bit of my stupidity And and As really still done well and you know it's been tough because it was hard to find some places to run her They weren't the most ideal spas. We had a runner against the boys That worked out obviously Bertrando but then we didn't really have another then. We decided to take a shot in the Clement Hirsch and that was a little too deep then we had to come back with the boys. He's and then we use the five and a half sprint race Here at Santa Anita just China has a trap for the Betty Graham on. I think that really helped pined her up. And and then You know Flavian worker for me Her two weeks before there. Becky gray boy. He said this this. This mayor's doing really well so when we drew outside I think that was very helpful. And you know frog and put a really good ride on her She can she can get a little tougher and rank But he you know I I mean it's such a general anti just really put her in the right spot in You know when he asked to go she she went so that was a thousand really exciting when I think team really really needed that We wanted that one. Obviously with the news you know a prince during the about eight hours later kind of dull but It was still a great great win for the team and the owners Queen Btu. She's an old topper mayor. and that alone makes you smile. Always AH always like The old oppor calibrate obviously Originally Tommy town and this one making what the fifth start. And you've you know nice nice inherit a course essentially in the in the barn. It was very very nice. I mean You know Mike did a great job with her. We shared this mutual. Eleanor Chris So it just Kinda was fit for to come over to my barn in but He did a great job with her. And I think we just kind of picked up the baton and ran with it and My guys had done a very good job with her here. Getting the right every race. She's she's a tough little mare and but she goes out there and tries every time so I mean anytime American makes two hundred over two hundred thousand. The year owners are pretty happy. No doubt this win against you. Know some familiar names including Sherlock's show it and more what Who feels like? She's been around for seven years as only four believable right. Ah Gary's one of my absolute favorite people does just a great job and she. This is one of those horses that kick them out for a break they scream and Holler and she just she just keeps coming at it and and funny she was not she took no money in this at all the money went to mostly cow Who of course had been right was a had been a the breeders cup participant? Yeah yeah they all that money they better down to three to five When they when the gates opened and I think you know everyone else kind of floated up so you got very fair value on on on the race well more What lies ahead after this? That's a good question uh-huh we're going to try to kind of map out. Her campaign really came out of the race. Well so you know the one thing we really. That's missing from her resume may is a greatest stakes placing So you know. There's a couple of races that we may be targeted just to try to get her. Some more black pipe possibly to help her residual value So what kind of map out her campaign and the next Dan I I'll go over with my owners But so far she came out of it really well. So we're we're we're open. She's GonNa Continue Moving Forward Queen. BTU and show at the age of five. A you've gotta with the stake win got a great state placing and she'll she'll be attractive As a broodmare. Certainly she's out of touch gold mayor to so certainly got a place At the very least a cow program or more let me ask you about a couple of others including being ranger who I I kept trying to build up and make a case for going into the Volvo was kind of a little bit of a you know a mystery. I'm sure you were just taking advantage of the opportunity to to run them in that spot and why not. It wasn't going to be a big field at the home but Feels like you know. There's some quality them. Yeah I mean. We were a little disappointed with with with that race. We you know Kinda like you said said. We wanted to take a shot. It was a short field We didn't think there were any standouts. Obviously those are the there are very nice horses But I think he just might be more of a turf turf for she was kind of climbing. He's a little bit more of a difficult course to trainee He can be a little goofy and I the week before I try to put him behind a horse get some dirt in his face but he he really didn't like it so kind of the original plan on the paddock with. Try to swing him out wide And kind of let gotTa make one run but he broke okay and we Kinda got pinned on the rail and four star handle. Martine wasn't able to get out but he has a lot out of ability. I mean he showed it in that first race We always we always liked them. I told Eric I said this course can run. This horse can run a little bit And he didn't disappoint appoints in that first race but we gotta work the kinks out. A little He just a young two year old obviously and he's still learning but he'll he'll have a bright future ahead. I think well and for you know for somebody starting out. You got your share of of steak runners and if we go back yeah To Breeders Cup weekend the EPA Dini is girl with another Nice Nice showing that came in the in the mattie stakes. Yeah she's a she's she's a really nice mayor and I've been I've always wanted to sprint her You know sometimes these horses at that going on the lead in these route races. This is when he turned him back. sprinting I've found they just they really can have that closing kick and she she. She did that. She broke a little slow. And we got in a little trouble But but they're Ronald did a great job and brought her up the rail We ran against some good horses. But I I think I think sprinting will be a new game for her and oh I think she'll do really well at that And now that was a really important greatest stakes when our great steaks placing for for the owner George Schwartz has been around the game a longtime amen. I know that really helped her value. But she's She's a nightmare and I think we'll sprinter moving forward nice and no shortage of opportunities. Obviously yeah exactly and I do want to ask about The maiden to that place the other day I I had where the word lose track where magically honored going back The week before Breeders Cup. She's she's a really nice philly too. I mean she's one one that she really she needs to be on the lead and Martine did a good job gender out there. We almost stole that race. But she's she's really moving forward and progressing You know we'll see her. She'll probably run at del Mar Next week but she trained in very forwardly To I mean Eric really done a good job and helped me with some and with some really nice judy roles we have another one named absolute weapon. That we stretched out for the first time and And one really nicely the Thursday I think before the Breeders Cup here at Santa Anita. So you know he's he's one too. I I really like an asset talent. Does everything right so You know the two year old. Eric has has given the opportunity to train. They've all seen to show some some ability so we're hoping moving forward into three year old season that they can all kind. Kind of imitative further steps forward. Absolutely ah when it comes to that. Do you have a already. Do you have a feel. Oh for what kind of young horse you you like How many two year old in training sale graduates have have come your way how? How many yearlings that were acquired at that time and then developed on on somebody's farm and and sent your way. Hey what do you know what. That's another learning curve essentially absolu- I mean this is really my first year with a good solid group. A two year old And Eric had some yearling that he bought last year that I ended up getting and and a few that you know raider absolute weapon and a couple of the other ones they were or Bought in the in the breeze up sales so You know we're starting to get a lot more. I Know Eric was very active at the September. yearling sale and I think we bought ten or ten or twelve of them and and hopefully getting a few of those but It's definitely was. It has been a learning curve. But I think that's probably been my favorite part of up training right right now is is Dealing with the two year olds just watching them develop And I think that's probably the most fun part of it. Well lots to look forward forward to Any any unraced two year olds that nobody knows about yet. there's one unreas- two year old that we had to send back to the farm but Shilton Chilton nothing serious but we'll be back soon. She is a American feral Philly for My vindicate racing and Perry Martin. They own this philly together and she's she's something that we were really hoping to get her gone or two year old year but she just wasn't mature enough So we wanted to let let her have some time to grow up but she is a big strong silly And I think she's GonNa be really really nice which when she gets back and a three year old. What's her name name? Her name is farrow. Lady she's out of town there they decent money for her and That that's really I think will will be a very good runner. Put her daughter in the watchlist folks and when she gets to the racetrack and starts to show up on the work tab. You'll you'll know a probably sometime in Santa Anita after the first of the year guessing. Yup Yup exactly well Andrew Delighted to get you And talk about you. "And Good Morning. Hey Steve thanks for having me on. Yeah I mean it's all too familiar It's been Definitely a roller coaster. Week for us and Mike Team and and I know Eric Johnson as well my owner You know it's I think people don't realize how much time and effort and and energy we spend with our horses and and how much we love him so when something like this happened. It's it's almost like we in a family member and I wish more people would realize is that But yeah it definitely has been a roller coaster of emotion the the attempt to of course to to save Princess Dorian and Eric Being widely recognized the he's already greatly appreciated as is a professional sports Athletes and and the kind of Ambassador that the the game Really appreciates and then you know to to basically just immediately say whatever means necessary to to try to to save the mayor. It's so hard and the laminate is side of this When it comes to the weight distribution it's incredible challenge for for them and when it starts to go wrong it's it's very rare to get it back the other way? Yeah no I it really is it. It was so positive for the first six seven days. And you know we kept getting good reports and And all that so when this happened to really really tuchus. Oh 'cause Bhai surprised and came out of left field. We thought she was really on the road to recovery. But you know when that's when they start when they found her and that starts to come in it it happens happens quickly so Dr hogging did a great job over there at At San Louis writedowns at the clinic over there and everyone did as much as they could. And and Eric like you said. He's a huge advocate for the game and the first thing you said. was you know whatever it takes to get this mayor back the back the health And we'll put her on a farm and she can live a good life somewhere and you know those are the kind of owners that we have and we need. And it's great that Eric has a voice and and is able to use it in a positive away for our sports and You know hopefully this can be some kind of a blessing in disguise of some sort and maybe help show people that compassion compassion for animals You know what we will do to go to to get them healthy. Well we talk about Eric and His presence and and he just loves loves the game and they were so enthusiastic. He's been on with me a couple of times now and and You know just you. Certainly you know that I mean as a professional athlete. He certainly more uniquely equipped apt to deal with you. Know great disappointment and and the great thrills and had both You talk about you know what a welcome presence he. He is a euro welcome presence on on the trainer Community Front And you know I think you know what you're not even thirty right twenty five. I'm I'm thirty now in April thirty but yeah okay all right. I knew I knew you were. You know I knew you're in your twenties buddies late twenties so well I'll I'll be sixty tomorrow so you have you thank you so I I remember when I when I was thirty but You know you have Beta a you know a steady increase at a at a steady presence and and it's interesting because you've got kind of a Bobby Frankel story developing which is you know somebody that kind of came out of the the grandstand a better and took an interest and went ahead and got your feet dirty and and your hands dirty talk about about getting getting job and walk in Hotson and you know how this all came about that? You're even training. Yeah I mean it's it's definitely probably probably not the way most trainers getting the game or their dad. Were doing her. The grandparents were doing and I was on the other side. I grew up going to Hollywood park with my dad when I was four. I know Oh is that. took him Arlington when they were living in Wisconsin So it's kind of been something I've always been around and I love the When I was able to to to do it in a couple of pieces of horses and really get back your and see what went into it? I just absolutely fell in love with it. I fell more in love with the work. That win on On the backside more than going to the races so You know I was around it and I just said this is something I really WanNa do. And and that's what I did. I I I came to the bar early in the morning. A shadowed some grooms some hot walkers and Kinda got my feet wet in and did a lot of the jobs that These guys do and and saw what it took to get these horses ready to race in really got an appreciation for it and then eventually got my trainer's license I mean that took that took a while and it was. It was a process. I honestly thought it would be a little less challenging and yet I kind of just thought go in there. Give them a couple of hundred bucks they give your license. But it's not I like that I it took me six seven months and they put me through a lot of tests which is a great thing. that they did that and we started with a couple of horses and originally. I just wanted to train trained for myself But then we started to kind of have a little success and just kind of snowballed from there and we grew. You know a lot quicker than I thought very blessed issue like it was It's been on. It's been a lot of fun and I've assembled a good team and I got some owners and I think that's all help to get us to where we are all right now and you you learn from And and have had access to some people that you know have had plenty of success over the years and You know you work the little for Mike pender. You've got An advisory The potential with Janine Sahadi talk talk about you know where you go for advice when when you do encounter things And how you approach them. Yeah I mean Janin's been absolutely fantastic. She is as anyone knows what. She's a very tough lady salt She doesn't sing. Praises very much to me. It's usually criticism But that's okay. She's a great sounding board for me. I call her Three or four times a week just to bounce ideas off of her or little things that come up and how she dealt with them and she's she's been absolutely fantastic in a huge park to to to me and in my development and I really appreciate what she's done for me and continues to do for me so having people like that That you can kind of lean on and kind of learn learn from With that much experience and and success that they've had has really really helped me a lot so I definitely have to thank her for that. That gives us an example of something that you know that you've encountered as you've been learning and as you know you Y- either look at a horse or you know you talk to the talk to a vet talk to a farrier. I mean the explain to people what the learning curve has been like and what it takes to keep acquiring the knowledge because you know that that never ends actually. Yeah I mean you know the one thing. I've tried to be a sponge. I know what I don't know and I'm happy to admit that I don't know so you know when I have guys like West. Champagne vary vary over here who I choose a lot of good horses for for Baffert and guys like that I I sit there and I walked him and I looked at him and you know I say you know. I looked to see what he's doing math questions and I try to do that a lot. I I talked to a lot of the trainers out there that I really admire. I mean John Sadler has sat down with me. I picked his brain a plan on your times I I went to a sale. We had lunch together. And just Kinda just you know ask questions and and things like that. How you deal with things and you know with Janine just bouncing commitment ideas off the Horse Kinda high headed and doing some things Or kind of wants to stop at the at the wire. Will you know she's suggested going through the white work another seven. You know just different little things that you picked up but the one thing that it really just kind of a gut. It's kind of a gut feeling that you have with your horses. Because being them being with them every day and the one thing I really learned as not really a cookie cutter method. I think I kinda was falling into that that that logic in the beginning which is totally wrong. They're they're also individual that you have to really individualized program for each of them And one thing you do for one might not be the same for another horse so you know no. I think we start when we started originally and had a bunch of claiming horses. I think that really help. I saw a lot of different things. that really Kinda got me I guess I I guess I got to learn along quickly because of the different things you get in the claiming game versus two year olds or buying them from Europe. You're up so I think that really helped development as well the other part of this that that absolutely you've got to explain and and flush lash out is finding owners and building a client base Wh what was your approach on that front. Yeah I mean it's it's it's It definitely it. It's not a struggle. You just gotTa Kinda you gotta you gotTa you know they want you to do well so when we started doing well This being out there every day at the races talking to people knowing people I met Eric. Johnson Maybe a year and a half ago at del Mar and we had dinner. And you know he in an giving me a horse until another year and a half later and I think it's just being out there and I think doing the right thing and and communicating and Kinda show yourself out there and And if you're doing well people people like that so You know winning does help a lot. And I've I've assembled a really really good team that has helped me get to where I am. And I think that just kind of propelled but it does take good owners that are willing to give you a shot and I i. I've had some like that. And that's it's one of the things that has has been a an area of challenge it. I think everybody starts out with a with a certain with certain base or a support support system or you know whatever whatever the mechanism is actually you mean. Let's also that's also be frank. You know you've got a little financial wherewithal. All at this point in your life to to that gives you some stability absolutely. I mean that that one hundred percent helps. I mean it when you can Train and not be worried as much About not just the bottom line but it's very difficult to make the ends meet meet here At the track. I've admiration for all these trainers because it's not you you start in the whole And you know you bill. Your owners. After the thirtieth thirtieth used to pay for all the pack and everything for those thirty days and It's a tough tough challenge And I really didn't realize how tough it is and I I I had started a couple of other businesses before I got into this and I've done some different things and have had employees and despite despite four is the most challenging thing I've ever done in my life I mean not even close There's so many different. Hats at trainer has to wear Not just dealing with the his employees and his horses the owners..

"Pitching matchup tonight from Fenway Carlos Guerrero grand slam tennis of the season for Houston and their win Saturday against the cardinals in Saint Louis Paul Goldschmidt did Homer in the loss for Saint Louis is now hit a home run in six straight games you have see two forty from Edmonton Saturday Max Holloway went the distance won by unanimous decision over Frankie Edgar to retain the featherweight title NFL news bangles had their first practice a camp Saturday receiver AJ green card from the field waiting practice with what appeared to be a left foot injury what end of all players will still be holding out and who will secure the bag plus will the fact not a legal copy coming home to its rightful owner Golden we know Monday sixty radio into this is the best number one thousand one SP in one thousand ESPN Chicago dot com what can a dollar here on ESPN one thousand in the ESPN app we're here till ten o'clock this morning you can fall a doll on Twitter at Adam eighty a dollar in IMAX crisp black life in the first Midwest bank studio on State Street in downtown Chicago so the Chicago Cubs they lose a tough one last night of dollar five to three in the tenth to the brewers and what we've seen here over the last couple of weeks is not just a team in the brewers that the cubs have to watch out for the Saint Louis cardinals they've been one of the hottest teams in baseball I know they lost last night your calls on the mound for the Astros and the Astros put up runs early on the cardinals a guy out to I guess six nothing lead after a grand slam so the cardinals lost last night which is good for the cubs but coming into the weekend the comes out we were tied for first place with the cardinals but then the cardinals moved ahead after one game against the brewers and now you really have a a race of three teams are heading down to the stretch of the season the NL central the cardinals are eight into in their last ten they have a one game lead on the cons and the brewers right now like you mentioned and ultimately this is one of the tightest races this is the tightest race in baseball because if you look around Major League Baseball the only other race that's closer the twins are now only one game up on the Indians in the AL central so then the white Sox beat the twins are this weekend they've got again later today but ultimately for the cubs once again you look back to the last couple seasons it's the cardinals yeah you're worried about the brewers and everything like that but the cardinals come back to get you and now it's a three team race and you've only got a couple you've only got two months after the season and this is going to be what looks to be because you've got twenty games left after today you've got twenty games against uber you've got ten games against the brewers you've got ten games against the cardinals and that's what you've got left for the season so you got a chance to you can somewhat control your own destiny right like you can beat these teams if you beat the cardinals who beat the brewers you handle your own division that's what made the club successful when they won the World Series that year they had such a lead because they were beating up on the division they could arrest guys they could all get their naps and they could all get their Capri Suns in orange slices and before the playoffs started you could load up on the Z. packs if you needed to Jon Lester and so what you could do is now you can't rest on that now every day is a grind now your scoreboard watching every single day you're like all we're only one game up now we're not in first place in our first place now not first place now our first with and that's how it's going to be every game is gonna be magnified in every page in every move the chill mad makes and everything is going to be even more magnified for the cubs because this race is so tight going in the last two months of the season right now in July the cubs are ten and ten they came off a Jew in their first losing a month since I think two thousand seventeen early in that season was may I in June they win fourteen and fifteen so far on this season the cubs are six and three against the St Louis cardinals against the Milwaukee Brewers though there three and five so as we take a look at this church you know I know last year the brewers were the team that won the division and they are the team the lead dog that was going back and forth with the cubs and the cardinals such kind of faded out but once again like every summer that takes place in this run for the Chicago Cubs is a trying dynasty here in Chicago with you I've seen Jed Hoyer and Joe Maddon and everyone that they have each it's the Saint Louis cardinals who are always there in the background chasing you once again like Jason from Friday the thirteenth the cardinals are back there playing great baseball I think they have the third best ERA as a staff in the National League so they pitch well Paul Goldschmidt over the last white six games is it a home run in every single game he's been fantastic and that's where we go to Jesse Rogers from Friday night I he joined blocking of dollar Friday night and I asked him before the brewers first game cubs brewers on Friday night before that game took place I asked Jesse Rogers which team does he worry about more in the division race is it the brewers the cubs have now lost two in a row to or the Saint Louis cardinals who were tied with the cause for first place Jesse Rogers on Friday night before that first game here's Jesse Rogers answer cardinals or brewers which is he more worried about for two years I've been asked this question I always answer Milwaukee and I feel like I've been right and I answered no walk you know recently on a show and I think I might I might be wrong at this point they're pitching problems go deep would riff on the I. L. C. C. not the same pictures he was and on the I. L. and they don't make bold big moves at the deadline maybe they will this year but I don't know this yet they haven't made a ton of them I I I if I'm gonna have to switch gears a made out to St St St St Louis reluctantly I was wrong I I might be wrong about Milwaukee this year so I don't want to go down with the ship while I'll go with the higher team in St St Louis so I was shocked me Milwaukee found a second when it's a really good question I think it's a tough one to answer for me because I've always been a Milwaukee guy in an anti Saint Louis guy but it doesn't feel right up here right now it's you so important and you can't just have Josh later nobody else and that's what this team kind of feels like right now so I guess I got to switch gears but I I'll do it reluctantly sh sh so that's Jesse Rogers from Friday night so let's let's ask you at three one two three three two three seven seven six you can also tweet Adam and myself Chris black Adam a a doll on Twitter inac crisp like which team do you fear the most from is it the brewers or the cardinals which team as your cub fan looking at this race which team are you worried about the most the St Louis cardinals who are in first place right now or the walkie brewers we're on the verge sweeping you today if you don't get a win from Jose canton on the mound is it the brewers are the cardinals which would you pick well Chris I'm a I'm a I'm a think about this I'm gonna big brain this for yeah I'm I'm most worried about the cubs I'm most worried about them because they are they blown eight saves in July the most in the National League meaning eight of those games they're going in the ninth inning winning the game and they have an opportunity to have eight more wins than they currently do okay now is that because of the cardinals is that because of the brewers now they've if they were playing them then obviously yesterday's yesterday it was because of the brewers because the brewers won that game and Kimbrell blue that save yesterday so obviously it was because of the brewers but ultimately the bullpen meltdowns are on the cubs not the brewers not the cardinals so I'm most worried about the team that has a lead in eight of these games in July and jailed to close those games out I'm worried about a team that spent money on on Craig Kimbrel to bring him in late this season and now he's not performing he's given a he's blown she's given up two home runs in if you're a mobile home runs in an outing twice so far since he's been a come easily done that one so far with his entire career you only did that once yeah so until he became a cop so ultimately it's on the cards the road is hard for them for some reason and they they like their beds at home better or something and they like the facilities at Wrigley or something I don't know what it is is that because of the brewers in the cardinals or is it because the cubs it's on the cubs it's on them I'm most worried about the cubs imploding on themselves see and I had the brilliance of Adam a dollar there is I give him an option question I given two options I give them the cardinals or the brewers have dollar goes neither and just gives me a three minute answer on the Chicago Cubs themselves which I appreciate that you're thinking outside the box but if this test was in a big break some rule it is great answer but you didn't answer the question there I do question was cardinals or brewers are you said Cobbs which I I think he's actually a viable option here because what what do we keep hearing about with this team the pay roll the talents they've done it before we get for some reason they continue the struggle zero three on this nonsense I think people realize that two thousand sixteen is not three years away when we saw the cubs for their best baseball we are talking about three years ago you know how much stuff has changed since then but we have not seen this cubs team play their best since then absolutely Chris I'm not the only one with the big brain will chase on Twitter says I guess both are legit threat honestly the cubs are their own biggest threat by blowing all these games will chase and I with the big brains listen I understand and cabin on Twitter wants to know what that noise issues and and and what this noise is is a call back to the movie Friday the thirteenth when Jason chases people to go kill them in the movie Friday the thirteenth are you here the Jeff Jeff Jeff pop pop botch and that's the cardinals coming to get the cubs and the cubs as a dollar says in a twist of fate is actually Jason well no I you're going you're you're making my takes off the.

"To see and do more things. The beauty of Monmouth Park I mean aside from the obviously the great racing in the track of the people and stuff is you're an hour from Philadelphia your forty-five eighty five minutes or an hour from New York City. I've gotten to see all these world class cities and places that I just never thought it would get to see if we added if we add it in the search for a bicycle this would be v means big adventure. You don't want to see I when I was fifteen. I did the Seattle Portland bike ride. which is this huge like ten thousand people and it's a two day event and I got off the bike in Portland and I remember I was about two days before I got my driver's license? I was fifteen going into sixty. I never touched that. was that was enough of that I was going to I was going to quiz you about colonial but you haven't. You haven't seen the place yet so you're gonNA have to actually a little more than a week early and part of my my first week there I think is going to be to Kinda show everybody else via video and social media and stuff what to expect what it looks like thirty itself and so we're gonNA city. What City Richmond is closed? No it's not real you've been there. You're in for a big surprise. I think I heard there was no hotels in new Kent County still nothing. There's the racetrack I it's. It's the craziest thing I mean. It's beautiful beautiful wonderful but the city that's rich those are scale is a scale involved there Jason obviously not your straight just out west where if you WANNA go between cities two and a half hours exactly exactly which which which brings up you know John White my dad and I we used to drive we used to drive from Yakima to Elena and back in an afternoon ah to get a bed in my favorite thing I ever did with John. White was I interviewed him on my old Portland Way to our weekly show and and I got into questions eighteen minutes and one of them was John. How are you <music> number two was something about John? You're a North West Guy. You know you worked over a play fair and it was like he was he had I mean he he and I went to dinner with him and it was same thing and it was so fun to listen to as North West guy like shared the history three of our racing up there. It's like to hear him talk about play fair and Gary Henson and all these great voices and names of people I kind of knew and knew about the history of is really really neat. Have you ever heard of Turbie later that was that was in that answer by the way I should call ninety five five the game and see if we can find it because I remember 'cause you know you do a fifteen minute interview. You always WANNA be over prepared with questions and I think I had probably ten or eleven question and we got to literally two of them so please the best seat so much and you know yesterday at the draw. Juan Carlos Guerrero ran off that might be the best frankly frank was sitting there and then frank done he goes. I just want you to know your interviewers best friends. He went through every work every start and it was it but but as an interview or sometimes those guys are great because because you make your travel but he's especially.

"Talking after the game gasio puig about how happy he was to see that moment even on their home turf about how much he enjoyed seeing carlos correa be able to express himself that way in the midst of this game and i'll feel like that ports should be lost on any of us is that in the midst of a game we're all these guys it is hotly contested was extrainning game you could see the frustration mounting on the part of the defense's as the bat sorta come alive laden it just seemed like a specially again for those dodgers relief staff that had been so used to coming in and just dominating that the tempers could flare won something like that starts to happen and we obviously no please got a little bit of that instigator in him for this as well sean check a runner leaving off second before with an absolute missile from the outfield just give that stare down was not your friend there make no mistake about that what am since would carlos guerrero you heard him address this an entirely different manner kind of understanding no no i'm not going to get mad just because this happened against such as because this happening ends me i'm going to celebrate this mobile because this is the kind of baseball that i want to see the kind of baseball that i want to see played on this big stage like this is the fall classic this is their showcase so they're trying to put forth the kind of game that they want us all to buy into to enjoy and celebrate and so to see that on this big stage for them.
