"Manage those throughout your adult life. No i i never thought i was going crazy or anything like that and it happened often an all the time so i i knew it was real and it was if i wrote a book about my life people would go. Oh no less science fiction. I what you see on movies. You know walking into a vortex and there's a witch there who opened the vortex and i'm going okay. I gotta go now. Have you done that if you to vortex before. I used to work at the university of l. berta in canada and it was going to grow to this library. And that's where i had to pick up some things and i felt this weird energy moving and i went. Oh well you know. this doesn't feel right. i don't know for sure. Go down there protects me. That's okay. I gotta go get these things so i go in there and usually there's truckloads of students and people around. There was nobody about one lady with a cloak in her hood up sitting at one of the tables in the library. So i go over to her to say. Hey you like you know where everybody is. What's going on. But she looked up at me like this and her eyes were all filled with the sky. I looked at the book and the words came swirling off the book. And then okay i gotta go now so i left in. It went back to my office. And when i got back i assume Where i was going into the library and said are you realize they are no nagai said why what happened. And i explained it and he goes. There is weird things going on around. Here we're leaving. We're moving out of this building. It's just not right here. Only because he's a worked out that people can open and use it to travel and that's why there's a witch there that you know used to just know that is. It's very trying to wrap my head around this because it does feel very much like. It's i mean it's what carlos castaneda's book a separate reality. It's totally did you have for end plane of existence and i sometimes wonder with this stuff is it. Is it closer to all of us than we think for someone like you. That is open to this. You have this awareness you can. You can see it. It's in your field but you know if we were to. I'm not sure maybe walked through the world with peripheral vision or That's one way to alter your state or do something else whether it's iowa or something like that is would we be able to access these things. Oh yes of course especially through shamanic journey. You don't necessarily need iowa osco or masculine or anything like that might teach your usages mescaline because of the trips than the spiritual thing and you can get lost in the addictions so might teacher had said a good shaman can take people on sold journeys without drugs than i do that right and i. I've done that a well. I'm sixty three now. So but twenty three years this when my teacher met me when i was forty and i trained with great eight years and i got my degree True him and other training as soul journey without drugs. I'm not even sure what that means. Our are people seeing visions. I mean what what is. Could you go into that a little bit. That's very curious to me and my buddies differential what they experience. I have Connection to that's like you wanna call it reach into sky spirit. Whatever our end it's will show me things will tell me things and now people didn't tell me and or i see about pass lives and other things and the people will grow and experience. Whatever they do a lot of people say. I just go up really really high and i feel like i'm in heaven and our lead people will experience Different kinds of beings come to you. Know i did mirus. Why would you do the other day. Tell me without a soul journey. And she said i went up so high. I felt like i was going to fall down and she goes. I was sitting there holding on. But i don't know what it was going to. I said i just to relax. Cow are you i mean i. I've studied hypnosis. I've led people to going to alternate worlds is oppose or explored their subconscious terrain. But trying to figure out what it is. You're doing that. I mean obviously if you're seeing jesus to when he saving your life you're tapping into some other realm beyond the subconscious. But i'm trying to figure out what exactly i i mean. Are you leading people into a trance. State what what is the. What's an example of what the shamanic work is. I it it feels very intangible. Today i designed properly as just sit isn't tangible in some ways but then again in other ways is very tangible. Because what is this experience it is a projection of the mind and so is in batch but in a different way epidemic employed. That's a good point. Yeah i mean are there simple. Are the other ways that you have to think okay. Here's what. Here's here's what i think is interesting about all this. There's some people that it takes a long time to show people how fluid reality is. I'm definitely i mean. I think i i know i intellectually understand edge. I don't always experience. That fluidity. And i know i've spoken to many people that say well once you realize it's this and and once you start doing these exercises and practicing and seeing that you can jump into different timelines and stuff like that. Yeah sure. I imagine. After a certain time you could see reality slippery. But when you're a shaman. I imagine you could. It allows you to have some shortcuts. I mean do you find that. Are you able to are you. Yeah wh how were you able to get people to see that. Their mind is Fluid and creating this perception in a way that may be some others arms. It's the energy that you imacs number one right. If you are vibrating at higher energy level you can break their in a higher energy level so you breed them up to a higher level of justness you use drumming. I display on lines and drumming and guide them. I threw a grounding and centering and connecting to guy certain mother earth's meditations start with. And then we just stay off it in it works. Basically iris's vibe at your vibe and high that's comes out to you've got the high been going. Yeah that is that is very interesting fascinating stuff. I'm very curious about all this. So you were discovered when you're forty you said Now were you. When were you already a doing therapy with people in rakia where you just doing therapy mean what point in your life where you before you were coined. This natural born shaman I was just mostly and administration. I not until forty. And i had a dream that a short little indigenous men was coming from a distance to greet me and he was my teacher and That's.

"I need a grant from New York City subway system and I'll go and I'll help the poor souls of homeless people suffering down there. Do you think you could do you think you could make the homeless people all peeled off? Really? That's good about your non bad for me a part. It would tear me you're out there, but you're not that out there which I appreciate how it on the bottom of that. There's like so much of hungry ghosts out there. And you know, like I'm also just a human, you know feeling the natural feelings having six years and sometimes his boundaries even though I'm a daughter of her. Yeah. Yeah. Well, it's going to say, you know, like let's go to the extremes of shamanism for a second choice in Don Juan's in the the Carlos Castaneda books. There was talk about turning into a butterfly. There's talk of just like sudden, you know being in Mexico and all of a sudden like having a full-scale vision quest with out seemingly any formal hypnotic induction wage Rugs at least explicitly talked about like it's almost as just Carlos Castaneda describes like being dropped into another world. Have you ever experienced that long? Have you ever turned into another animal or have you actually like all of a sudden from a shaman been dropped into another existence without any drugs or formal hypnotic induction? So yes, and yes both conditionally the second one less conditionally. There's very simple methods. You know how it's kids. We're just kind of like lay down on the grass and stared at leaves or stared at the clouds. That's that's hypnotic and somehow after sometime when you really just like looking at that your assemblage Point shift your perception shifts in very simple terms and you are dropped in another reality quite suddenly found that shift subtle but powerful and and visible and anybody can do it just processed stare stare. That's the really really really really good method to get into things. The things will suck you in and let them suck you in so that's for the 2nd for the first one. I don't even remember the first question. I just got sucked into something. Yeah, the first question was if I ever became an animal so yeah, I am you know what? So if my friend was next to me and if you asked her that Joshua the superior and that she become a crow she will sing No, but if you ask. Did you ever feel like you became really became an animal and I'm going to say yes, I had two instances and you know, if the second one hadn't happened recently, I would have completely forgotten about the first one in the first place, but I was a woman Jaguar when I get sick, really really really angry. It's like I remember when I first moved to New York City somebody pissed me off and I looked I run every day. That's my daily practice. So I remember like sprinting off. Park Slope and really the claws and feeling like teeth and recently sort of like I was awakened in the middle of the night super kind of like and I felt I felt that energy so, you know conditionally to some degree. Yes. I was engulfed by a spirit animal jaguar Palm did I look like a Jaguar know is it not possible that somebody else might transform themselves in an animal and I can observe that with my vision. You know what 3D Vision? I don't know. I haven't seen I was going to say have you ever experienced a shape-shifter? No, no. Not in this reality not in this reality. I don't know it's possible in this reality. I would like to believe so yeah, what did the drugs do? Yes, yes. Yes, what are the drugs too? Whack you out where que out completely or I'm speaking for myself very like before the drugs and then what happened after and I mean like I'm talking peyote. I'm talking Ayahuasca. Like I don't care about your you know, yeah, we did some day afternoons. I'm talking about what happened before and after like, where were you then and what came out. So I think I think that you know plants plant medicine is fantastic when it feels like you have come back to a wall and you can see past it and it seems like you're doing everything right in this in this world in this reality in your life and yet you somehow feel that you're blocked where you're not seeing everything or things are unfolding as you want to and I think that that's always a good point to consider plan to teach your medicine and that's what I did in two thousand a month. In and what it did to me was first of all backed me out of my own body and I was in the spiritual Dimension where it felt like I'm literally sorry. I'm going to use that on family friendly word again. I was in two folds of big bang it sort of felt like I was in the work of the universe orgasm of the universe in traffic. That's right. And then I I feel like exercise many of my demons as if like, you know, like a little parts of my body opened up and you know, like the grid a one open and G5 and you know, like all these little demons came out and exercise themselves. And when I came back, I was just like pure enabled to connect with the ground again and you know able to connect with the Beauty and the subtle off the light in the laws like the big difference between before and after was that I was I feel like I was I was exhausted and I was stressed out trying to log As a life on a hamster wheel and basically me doing the medicine was deciding to get off the hamster wheel and then you know, like now trying to home basically like becoming a shaman woman or that's one of the things that started doing after that and sort of like connecting the grid of multiple dimensions and and bringing this to people cuz I'm just going to say like, where did you go from pursuing acting and just trying to be a performer to like doing this because you kind of melded Both Worlds with your heater company when you're doing this almost. I mean it reminds me of what Antonin artaud was trying to do like ride ritualistic theater, like really like the theater will be unconscious in a way which I love I love that stuff, but I'm wondering like was there a point where you were more ego trip Thursday? I'm going to be an actress and then you were just like, whoa, there's so much more that Arjun theater can do because my brains expanded or was it a different Journey? No, absolutely. Yeah, I think that definitely you know, I always felt multi-dimensional on stage but and I was driven by this wanting to be possessed off or like looking for Ecstasy, but this area like, you know Drive of you know, trying to make it and it's like hamster wheel of a dishes and yes, absolutely that's like ego-driven sort of like system. We live in that was really getting to me and I the plant medicines are like revealed this like playing underneath that really drives me crazy before I was able to describe it. I was like, oh, you know, I'm chasing ecstasy. I'm like, I want to live in this multiple dimensions. That's why I want to be on stage, but it's sort of like revealed more to me after the medal. In after the ritual how important it is to sort of like always be be aware of a sort of like ritual in Life or a transformational point in life that you know, like life is a ceremony that ultimately he want to get more people on board and you know lift up the level. Yeah, what are your theater Productions look like home? So our big theater production that we did was called the female role model project. And so we talked I wanted to kind of like explore Consciousness long as a Channeler as an actor Chandler. I was felt like I'm very different when I'm different people like when I'm I'm different when I'm Lady Macbeth or when I'm Catherine from Taming of the Shrew it's page is different. My thoughts are different. I I have access to different information. So I kind of wanted to measure Consciousness and I was interested in how these different women wage..

"In two thousand nineteen more than a decade after Carlos's death ten secretary and clear green still holds thanks to series of multi day workshops available to anyone willing to pay the registration fee which can cost thousands of dollars depending on the duration and topic the class from the outset of his spiritual training in the Mexican desert right up until he died Carlos Causton. Yada maintained that objective objective truth doesn't exist every individual just has their own unique perception of reality. He maintained this belief as the people around him accused him of lying about his history and his revelations today ten secretaries leaders and practitioners have two different sets of facts just to reconcile. There's the one based on the evidence which suggests that a chronic liar manipulated people to feed his egoistic need for control the the other narrative promoted by ten segments adherence says that the evidence simply doesn't matter the only important thing is a subjective vivid experience of power and self discovery that each student experiences so is ten segue real all the evidence clearly suggests that Carla's students had been trapped by the deadly vision of a liar but those same followers followers would respond that in reality there experience all comes down to perception..

"The witches had him quietly cremated and ordered a death certificate however they didn't notify the press or Carlos his former contacts at Simon and Schuster as a result in the weeks and then months after his death few knew that he was anything in other than happy healthy and in seclusion the remaining ten segregate practitioners got their first inkling that something was wrong a few days after after Carlo's death when witches fluorine Dell Donner Grau Tisha Balare and newry Alexander all went missing Carol Tig reported that they were traveling weeks later another pair of which is named Talia Bay and Kylie loon doll also disappeared this time. I'm taking Carlos's ashes with them. Born Amalia Marquez and Deanne Joe Oliver's. These women were already so alienated from their families. Nobody nobody outside of the ten security compound noticed for weeks that they disappeared. It was easy to keep the disappearances quiet. When from the outside ten segue segue seemed to proceed as usual the remaining witches and other high-ranking cult members kept running workshops? It wasn't until June of Nineteen Ninety eight that Carlos is ex wife son. Cj Kostunica received a call from clear Greens probate lawyer because he'd been unable to connect with Carlos or any of the witches CJ was the next contact listed for the first time in the two months since Carlos's Carlos's death CJ learned of his adoptive father's illness and passing after hearing the relevant information from the lawyer CJ called his mother Margaret Runyon Cost Anita. Finally they released the news to the press by June. Nineteenth papers began running obituaries for for Carlos as reports spread across the country friends and family of ten security members tried to reconnect with their lost loved ones when the Marquess Arcus family were unable to reach Amalia Marquez Aka Talia Bay or even learn her whereabouts. They filed a missing persons report with the police. Unfortunately the authorities brushed off their concerns. Tell US brother and former ten sanity member Luis Marquez Said said we tried to reach Malia my sister but she wasn't available anywhere later. Some people called and told us all the women had disappeared. They might have killed themselves so we immediately went to. Los Angeles and we tried to approach clear green. Nobody wanted to help the witches had spent their whole lives cutting themselves off from the outside. Police didn't see how this was any different later that year an abandoned Red Ford escort was found near the Panama Dunes secluded mountains desert of California's Inyo County in in the following weeks. California police searched the area but found no further evidence of the missing witches five years later in two thousand three a group of hikers found a body very near where the Ford escort had earlier been spotted. It took another three years before DNA testing revealed field that the body belonged to newry Alexander one of Carlos's witches who disappeared in the wake of his death although the body he was too decomposed for the police to reconstruct much of a narrative. They determined that Nuri had died at sun exposure. The police had no reason to suspect her death was violent or that foul play was involved the best theory could come up with was that Nuri had been driving through the desert and had run out of gas gas from there she stepped out of the car and circled the area for a while until she collapsed from heat exhaustion or dehydration neither the police nor nor his family were able to discern why she'd been driving through the desert in the first place or what she'd hoped to accomplish by exiting the car police assume that she'd been searching for some spiritual experience in the aftermath of Carlos's death although they didn't suspect foul play the the discovery of News Corp's finally gave the police the incentive they needed to open an investigation into the remaining missing women when the police question former ten segue followers they learned that in Carlos his final months he and the witches had spoken quite openly only about ritual suicide they'd considered many different plans including buying a boat and disappearing at sea or journeying to a series of caves saves in the desert where they would all die together as it happens. "Due to the graphic nature of this cult's crimes listener discretion is advised this episode includes discussions of coercion sexual abuse and suicide aside that some people may find offensive. We advise extreme caution for children under the age of thirteen forty year old newry Alexander had been driving for five hours. She'd left the highway long ago. In favor of off roading across the Inyo desert's packed Kurt. She should have reached destination by now and yet an endless plain stretched before her teasing journey but would never end and newry didn't know what she was looking for. Exactly spiritual awakening ascension obliteration mystical ball of flame her teacher Carlos Castenada had always assured newry that she'd never die of course he also claimed that he never leave her and a few days ago. Oh He'd broken that promise now on a hot day in April nineteen ninety eight. She was utterly alone. Unless of course there was a deeper deeper meaning to Carlos his teachings. Maybe he'd been speaking metaphorically or existential anything. newry needed to believe there was is something more or else her entire life. Her entire existence meant nothing she could feel the truck slowing. She pressed on the gas pedal but still rolled to a stop out of gas. She was in in the middle of the desert miles from the road and now she had no working car. Either Nuri refused to accept the situation there your had to be something deeper so she climbed out of the truck the heat of the Sun beat down at her face and skin and she was already thirsty but she had to prove to herself. She was a powerful witch. That was more important than in life or death so Nuri began to walk.

"Don Juan and his magical teachings weren't real but during her conversations with customer data she was astonished to learn that he spoke as though these teachings were true he becomes such such a good liar customer data had even convinced himself his self imposed seclusion only became more severe as did his his control over the dozen or so fans who continued to study under him and although Kostunica's book sales took a sharp dip he still managed to sell a few thousand copies every year his career was far from over but he'd still been humbled and Kost Anita was desperate to reclaim his reputation and his claim in the early nineteen nineties after more than a decade out of the public like I customize issued a new revelation dictating what he and the witches should do with their powers they were to help ordinary humans to rise above their limitations with the witches custom gated developed a spiritual movement program called ten segue ten segregate referred to a series of holy motions stretches that were designed to strengthen and I'm channel Psychic Energy. It also incidentally could only be taught during in person workshop sessions custody. Ada sold tickets at over one thousand dollars a piece cost. Anita was careful to emphasize that ten segregate was completely distinct from Tai Chi and yoga although they a bore many similarities when asked to describe what makes ten segregate unique customer said to compare ten segregated with Yoga or title is not possible in Nineteen ninety-three sixty seven year old Carlos Costa Neda began secretly giving ten segregated workshops. He didn't advertise them publicly but allowed word of mouth to spread the news through the new age community in in spite of his public shaming custom gators reputation in hippie circles was still stellar and ten segregate seemed like something new and exciting his events soon began to sell out. This was exactly the response cost. Anita longed for in order to manage the money and offset personal liability in nineteen ninety-five he founded a company called clear green which he owned ran with switches at workshops customer. "Coming up next. Kostunica's lies are exposed and he responds by tightening his control troll on his followers. Now back to the story Carlos Custom NATO claimed that he studied under a Yawkey Lucky Shaman named Don Juan publishing his revelations in a bestselling book although his critics saw several logical inconsistencies in his memoir. Mr forty-seven-year-old Causton Yada still taught fully booked classes at UC Irvine there. He gathered his students and the disciples Kosta NASA's followers included several attractive young women and the source of our had multiple affairs for Years Custom Nita had found emotional support in his wife Margaret. He loved the way she respected him listened to him and learned from him he especially enjoyed the thrill that he felt when he lied to and manipulated her but as the years went on Margaret Group resistant to his manipulations meanwhile his female students is treated him with the same admiration Margaret once had when he determined that his wife couldn't meet his need for a submissive devotion he founded elsewhere for Margaret Cost. Engages Affairs. were a blessing in disguise. He disappear for weeks or months at a time to be with his lovers while he was gone. She could get a handle on the real world again. She came to understand that she couldn't live any longer as cost Anita's wife in nineteen seventy-three. They traveled to New York together. They fought viciously after which cost Jada talked of his plans to take her son on on a visit to South America with him. This was the last straw to ensure her safety and that of the Child Margaret filed for divorce the next day and she didn't tell Kosta Nato what she done. She just waited for him to see the legal paperwork for himself but to Margaret Surprise Causton. Yada didn't didn't immediately respond the forty seven year old had once more disappeared into the desert to resume his studies with Don Juan you although he'd already completed his first initiation into the sourcres world custody eight understood that he had to constantly be open open to learning. There's no record of the session only cost Anita's later reports. He claimed these studies allowed him to finally shed his last scraps of humanity humanity. He gained powers that he'd earlier only dreamed of at the conclusion of the new training Don. Juan explained that the most powerful brew host host could even escape death elevating themselves to a different unbounded form of course. He'd earlier claimed that no man escaped mortality. Tallahassee with customer data accepted the new teaching without question once he imparted his final lesson. Don Juan disappeared in a blinding ending bursts of magical fire. This was strangely convenient for cost Anita. Several academics had begun openly musing that Don Juan didn't exist with the broncos magical disappearance cost. Anita could now explain why Don Juan was nowhere to be found when Carlos customer data returned to California in late nineteen seventy three he claimed that he'd achieved a yet higher level of enlightenment and luckily he had plenty of new material for his fourth book with his new found power cost Anita announced to his fans and friends that his magic required seclusion didn't from the impure human world he also emphasized that a wizard could never be photographed or recorded although customer data had always disliked photography for the first time he taught that avoiding pictures was a spiritual requirement he bought a home in Westwood Los Angeles and banned the cameras and other recording equipment but he didn't tied away alone. He brought with him three of his most devoted students. All young women who were current or or former lovers he seem to need all the support and devotion he could get. It's hard to say for sure what exactly happened. During the years cost in Yada and his followers followers spent in seclusion many believe that this period marked the formation of the cult cost Anita severely restricted his followers just movements they rarely left their home and never gave statements to the Press Kostunica's firm ban on photography and recording equipment meant that there there were no records that their activities Causton Yada ordered each woman to release her old life and old connections they were required required to quit their jobs and break off contact with friends and family outside of Kostunica's control to symbolize her rebirth. Costa Mesa gave each woman a new name. Maryann Simko was dubbed Tisha Abattoir Kathleen polman received the name Carrollton Darrelle ticks finally Ray geena tall became fluorine donner grau widely considered cost Anita's favourite. He also also nicknamed her the Hummingbird. He claimed this was due to her tendency to throw them with potential costume. Neda referred to these women as switches and told them they had great magical power. He claimed that his harsh restrictions were only to ensure that they didn't dilute their spiritual essence social social psychologist and escaped former cult member. Alexandra Stein explained that often the ability to exert control over other people's lives is is the primary goal for cult leaders and others who run fringe organizations she wrote not all leaders want to get rich gained sexual favors. There's or grab political power but all want utter control over others customer data required as witches to dye their hair blond and cut it in the exact same short style like Costume Nita. They were forbidden from being photographed or corded. Wall Kosten Yada operated in the shadows. The public continued to flock to his writings his fourth book nineteen seventy four's tales of power for recounted his experiences in his most recent and final desert sojourn but psychologist. Richard de Mille wasn't so willing ailing to take Kostunica's claims face value he was a social anthropologist who earned a PhD in psychology from USC a rival school to cost Austin NATO's own ucla during his career demille grew increasingly critical of the growing trend in the nineteen sixties anthropology world to blend anthropology with transcendental or magical thinking he remained a staunch advocate for the scientific method and proper documentation tation that more and more anthropologists as shooed and no offender was worse than Carlos Cost Neda after years of digging beginning in fact checking Duma learn that the magical passages weren't the only factually inaccurate portions in constant natives books. I D- milk confirmed that customer data had lied about his birth date and home country. Demille also found that some of Don Juan's pithy teachings seemed seemed bit familiar in fact many passages and Kostunica's memoirs were flagrantly plagiarized from Cs Lewis and other anthropologists the mill began to list Castenada stolen quotes and their original sources that document soon grew to be forty seven pages as long in nineteen seventy six Richard Demille published a critique detailing the numerous lies and factual errors is in the teachings of Don Juan and cost Anita's other books dim alleged that Don Juan didn't even exist and cost Anita had never gone on into the desert at all saying Collis's adventures originated not in the Sonoran desert but in the library at Ucla initially the literary world was uncertain how to respond to these claims they had already accepted the books nonfiction status was dubious at best a few other investigators however followed up onto mills claims and found even more inconsistencies in costume. NASA's accounts most damning of all when an independent researchers examined the documented religious practices of the Yawkey people they found that they had no tradition of peyote smoking whatsoever cost Anita's harshest critics soon found supporters in the Yawkey and we sold communities CAUSTON data's fans had been swarming over Yawkey lands seeking spiritual truths and disrupting private native communities when some of those fans had learned that the Yawkey keep people had no peyote culture they turn their attention to the nearby peyote using which all hippies stripped fields of mushrooms and other plants the native people used for medicine or traditional ceremonies at least one we shall man was killed by white spiritual seeker anthropology organizations and major news outlets published their own exposes on Castenada and his lies. The press indicted indited not only customer data but all of the intellectual elites who'd allowed themselves to buy into his claims without properly fact checking them as Yale Anthropologist William K Kelly explained. I doubt you'll find an anthropologist of my generation who regards Kosten Yada as anything but a clever lever con man perhaps too many his scam is an amusing footnote to the gullibility of naive scholars although to me it remains a disturbing an unforgivable forgivable breach of ethics as his followers turned on him. Carlos customer data never issued any kind of public denial privately however he complained to his followers that the press was lying about him although she'd left him his ex wife Margaret remained in contact with Causton Johny Ada. He wind to her that critic simply misunderstood the spiritual principles he tried to establish he tried to teach the world that reality was subjective breath and the world turned around and held him to its so called objective stature. It's the whole narrative was unfair to him by this point. Margaret had wriggled out from under custody thumb enough to see through his lies. She knew that.

The University of California press was right custom. NASA's first book the teachings of Don Juan John which covered about the first third of his journey to spiritual awakening sold several thousand copies the book success only fed cost Anita's ego ago the seemed to believe his own stories and saw his impressive sales says validation. "In nineteen sixty thirty four year old anthropoid student Carlos Castaneda wandered into the Arizona desert with a nebulous goal to learn Yawkey peyote traditions and achieve enlightenment when Castagna stepped off a bus in Nogales Arizona. He didn't have a specific destination sean and mind all he knew that he wanted to connect with something larger than himself something spiritual before he even left the bus stop. Kosten Yida met it old Yawkey man who introduced himself as Don Juan on while the old man waited for his boss. He explained that he was originally from Sonora Mexico but he'd lived in Arizona. Long enough to become an expert on the the local plant life within minutes of meeting customer asked him to teach him Yawkey Peyote Practices Don Juan refused he boarded his bus and rode away to destinations unknown but Kostunica was relentless. He learned on wants address and and pay the old man of visit at his home when he arrived. Don Juan remained resolute that he would not teach cost to NATO about peyote instead had he served him drinks and told him stories about his culture and his people's mythology because he traveled so far custody. Ada Spent the night at Don Juan's house the next morning when it was time to leave. Don Juan invited customers to return whenever he was available cost. Anita took the offer to heart for months the elder taunt Causton Yada his people stories and traditions they became close friends and Don and one soon shifted from telling stories to explaining his mystical philosophy. It was difficult for Costin Ada to understand the esoteric. Principles has gone want tot but he strove to understand them. Customer data was so caught up in his new spiritual journey. He began to neglect his wife Margaret. She didn't know why he was disappearing into the desert and he would never tell her in advance when he was going to leave frequently. She'd simply awake in the morning to see her husband was gone at some point in one thousand nine hundred sixty thirty eight year old Margaret Attempted to leave Kostunica according to her. She filed for divorce in Mexico. Although there was no record of this soon after the couple split up Margaret discovered that she who was pregnant according to Margaret the child was conceived after the separation and customer data was not the biological father but cost hoste Neda announced to her that the pregnancy was a sign that they should remain together. He also claimed that the divorce was invalid because he'd arranged an elaborate. Britt hoax to trick her into only believing sheet filed initially. Margaret didn't want to even consider cost Anita's arguments she was content is to have him out of her life forever but he began visiting her apartment regularly explaining that they were faded to be together by the the time. The baby was born custom. NATO was once more an active part of Margaret's life. Margaret also noticed the love and care that cost Anita showed showed for her son the baby delighted and cost Anita's presence as though they shared a spiritual bond when Causton Yada explained that he was the boy's real. You'll biological father through the power of magic. She believed him persuaded Margaret Reunited with her axe and so cost engages manipulations of Margaret continued Dr Margulis Feel Stod who specializes in family therapy with narcissistic and borderline individuals noted that successful manipulators succeed not only because their skilled at playing to others sympathies but because they're experts at identifying vulnerable people when Margaret Son was born in nineteen sixty one Carlos Castaneda insisted on being listed on the birth certificate as the father he relished the idea of having a child of his own and began to tell his friends that the baby really was his biological son of course this claim mm-hmm also gave customer data leverage over Margaret Anytime she began to have doubts about the relationship cost NATO would point to the child did did she really want her son to grow up without a father unable to argue with that logic. Margaret remain loyal but the birth of his wife son wasn't enough to deter cost Anita from his search for spiritual truths and he finally had a breakthrough on August August seventh nineteen sixty one a little over a year after he first met Don Juan by that point. Don Juan decided sided that Kostunica had demonstrated his devotion to his teachings so don Juan drove Kosten Yada to acquire a house in the middle of the desert and supplied him with a jar containing clumps of round Brown plant matter when cost Anita didn't recognize material. Don Juan explained that it was was peyote customer didn't even know where to start so don. Juan instructed him to chew the pieces. The student did as he he was told while he waited to feel the drug's effects Don. Juan walked customer outside so they could watch the stars is an drink. Tequila of course all we know about cost. Nita's drug induced visions comprom- his own. I'm first hand testimony and his veracity as a witness is dubious at best cost. Anita claimed that he saw the world around around him shift and change he felt as though he could see the entire landscape without needing to move his head or his eyes when he reached for a drink of water custom-made noted that the liquid seemed shiny and thick astonished by the visions cost. Anita wandered away from the hut and into the desert there a dog approached him the canine had black fur but was also translucent a great gleaming main like that of alliance encircled its neck somehow customer data understood that he was supposed to follow the dog so he let it lead him into a location that custody. Ada described as a sort of yellow warmth that came from some indefinite place. They're overcome with a sense of euphoria costume. Yada played with the pop once he sobered custody. Ada spoke with Don Juan about what he witnessed. Don Juan seemed especially stricken with the appearance of the black dog and told customer data that the being was named Mask Alito. Oh he was a powerful figure in yawkey mythology. Few people ever glimpsed Mescalero. Let alone played with him. In fact the dog's appearance could only mean one thing cost. Anita was chosen what and a great destiny lay before him. Don Juan soon revealed that he was a shaman or a magic practitioner for the Yawkey tribe he took us to Neda as a pupil bull lecturing and debating him on the true nature of reality to help Kostunica let go of his reliance on reason and Science Don Juan continued Tinubu supply cost to NATO with Peyote he also incorporated Hallucinogenic Jemson. We'd and mushrooms into his license. These practices probably probably served a sever cost Anita's already tenuous connection to reality. Each time customer took a hallucinogen. He learned something new about the true nature of reality he met wild animals and learned the wisdom of coyotes lizards and spirits. He glimpsed other worlds where the nature of reality itself could be bent or altered even humanity as a concept was ally cost. Anita Eighty learned a truly enlightened being became something greater than human and by truly accepting those teachings cost Anita proved himself to be an allocated superhuman creature psychologist. Art Markman noted that it's common for people to sometimes overestimate their own skills and abilities. He's but a small number of people will continually overestimate their influence on the world and their place in society especially when compared to other other people there unearned arrogance drives their behavior and colors every relationship they have in cost Anita's case his experience in the desert provided him with everything he thought he wanted don. Juan assured him that he was special was powerful better than everyone else all of cost Anita's earlier fantasies about his greatness were legitimized but what cost to NATO wanted wasn't the same thing as what he needed and is growing. "If your business is going to become a significant component of your primary aim yet to let your business know what that aim is. And how can you expect to do that? If you don't know what it is. Do you see while your primary aim is so important to the success of your business with no clear picture of how you wish your life to be how on earth, can you begin to live it? How would you know, what the first step is to take? How would you measure your progress? How'd you know, where you were? How'd you know, how far you had gone? How'd you know, how much further you had yet to go without your primary aim? You wouldn't indeed you couldn't it would be virtually impossible as with mature companies. I believe great people to be those who know how they got to where they are. And what they need to do to get where they're going. Great people have a vision of their lives that they practice emulating each and every day they go to work on their lives. Not just in their lives. Their lives are spent living out the vision. They have of the future in the present. They compare what they've done with what they've intended to do. And where there's a disparity between the two they don't wait very long to make up the difference. They go to work on their lives. Not just in their lives. I believe it's true that the difference between great people and everyone else is that great people create their lives actively while everyone else is created that while everyone else is created by their lives passively waiting to see where life takes them next. The difference between the two is the difference between living fully and just existing the difference between the two is living intentionally and and living by accident. Let let me repeat once more that great quote by Don Juan and Carlos Castaneda's a separate reality. The difference between a four warrior, and an extraordinary man is that a warrior sees everything as a challenge while an ordinary man sees everything as either a blessing or a curse. So before you start your business or before you return to tomorrow, ask.

"It's an ill matched pair. And yet mister Peabody doesn't really need Sherman. He just sort of asked stupid questions. So I think that that was their like opinion of that structure being voiced through quiet. You I have a I as we were talking. I just thought of the just remember it my favorite line or kind of the I think the best joke in this segment, which is. Homer keeps going back in time. And each time, you know, he comes back in the present is a little different, and he goes back, and he goes crazy. And he just decides he's going to stop everything and a really funny animated segment where he's like beating the crap out of a giant mosquito with club listening. Elizabeth lizard. And then and then he comes back, and then now everything like he comes back to the Simpsons house. And it's this like gorgeous mansion and Barton Lisa are barred is super well behaved Lisa's, wearing a TR and. Jewels in our mouth. Yeah. They mentioned they're going to Patty and Selma's funeral right? Lexus in the new Lexus. Yeah. Luxury sedan and then Homer asks for a Donut and is like doughnut. What's a doughnut and Homer screams and Russia's downstairs, grabs tilted towards back in time. And after he exits barge goes, it's raining, again, don't or just falling sky. The irony is really good. And of course, the very fun twist that we all love is is we finally think that he's made it back to his normal situations. But then they have like those crazy lizard times. It's like good enough. Yeah. Yeah. I love his out to that scene too. When everything is perfect is that, you know, there are no donuts. And so that's what causes them to freak out. I just think that's so funny Esotique Marge's. So funny when homers freaking out, and it's just like what color is the sky. What are donuts what day is it? And she says this guy is blue donuts are plentiful Friday, his family. That was having the time. I forget what said this is. But it's like, you know, when Bart described in Tuesday night CVS is crap attack. I know I'm totally butchered that, but whatever those one thing I think they did really well in this era in this episode is like there's there's a bunch of references, including some still I still don't get. I still don't know what I'm the first non Brazilian person to travel back. Right. Yeah. And then there's also things like, you know, there's like Terminator two reference in the segment. There's there's a drastic park reference. We talked about the mister Peabody and Sherman. But like none of this stuff is feels to crowbar it in. And also like none of it kind of relies on your knowledge of the source material. You know, you can still kind of enjoy it on its own the Simpsons got actually answers your question homeless reference to himself as the first non Brazilian person to travel backwards through time a loose the hallucinogen inspired author Carlos Castaneda. Wow. Of course it. Stink in Harvard by. Does that make that joke? Any funnier. It would've we got that already. But it's exactly what the Simpsons. So. Well, as we know it's joke. So we laugh we don't really need to know. It just it's so funny. We understand the rhythm and the cadence of a joke, and we like, yeah. Exactly. And we like that someone is inert like at. It's always fun. Someone knows something while and we have front them. Yeah. They're not gonna mislead us. And yeah, let's actually get the rating what comes next would it be shitting? Or would it be the nightmare cafeteria? They're not gonna for me. I mean, I think the consensus is that people think of nightmare cafeterias the weak link. But I think I liked that one a lot and part of it may be also to like, I know the shinning better than I know the shining. So it's it's you know, I think maybe if you're a shining superfan going into seeing the shinning you appreciate that one a little bit more, right? Then again, the shitting us some really good jokes. I don't know. That'd be article. Have you made me you made me choose? I would probably say diaper cafeteria. There's just like so many so many fun moments in that one. The probably the most jokes like it's. You might say it's a little odor and all of us..
