"Do fakes at Cajun accent whenever he gets in front of a crowd. He's from that New Hampshire Quincy mask. Dad's a doctor. I have one. Oh my games, yeah. Like Forrest Gump there, bucks at chalk. Janet. Lieutenant. All of our football games. He's gonna come out with the leg braces on. You get to run right out of them. So that's a sample of what happened. Wow. Yeah, we get around to picking games. I say, what's the over under on the game? That's great. Get a little looser there, Dan. Yeah, a little bit. You're a little looser though. A little bit. Yeah. That's a good line from Dylan though. Yeah. Coming out in the leg braces. That is damn funny. Yeah. Forrest Gump there with Brian Kelly. Diane, and I have one on my football games. Jenna. Yeah. So that's the not the 1215 podcast. That's the back room, guys. That's the damn Patrick takes a gamble that's available at Dan Patrick dot com. And West Virginia last night. Yes. He did. Yeah, Dylan had West Virginia and the money line last night. Very, very proud of himself there. A couple more phone calls in here. Let's see. Trail in Los Angeles. Hi, Terrell. Hey, what's up, man? Hey, man. Hey, you, Jackson about a couple of examples. I can't remember what happened when Bill Lambert broke Isaac times his hand with his face. And then remember the trails freewell choking George Carl. No, no, that was PJ carlesimo. Yeah, yeah, PJ Carlos. And he got suspended. He got suspended for a long time after that. But draymond was allowed to, I'm going to take a couple days off. Yeah, they didn't even suspend. They didn't even ask him to leave. He was like, oh, I'm going to sit a couple of days. I'll be back up there soon. Yeah. Hey, look, okay, so how long ago was it then at Bill lane bier and Isaiah got involved in an altercation in practice? You know, 30 years ago? I'm told it happens all the time. Okay. Just tell me all the times it's happened that somebody sucker punched a teammate knocked him out. Yeah, pulling. I forgot about sprewell sprewell suspended for an entire NBA season 82 games. He appealed it down to 68 games. He lost $6.4 million in salary. And it's a coin flip whether it's worse or better, you know, fight wise, grabbing a guy with a neck or not. But you know, your coach. Right. The coach. Hey, choke PJ carlesimo. I mentioned. And that was over 20 years ago. Wasn't it? Yeah. Probably 25 years ago. Wasn't it latrell sprewell two who was like renegotiating his contract and it was for like a $100 million. He was like, hey, I got kids. No, I can't. Shut off. Stupid. Hey, I can't do it. I mean, I got kids to feed the big eaters. Jason Kelce plays offensive line for the eagles and he was on sports radio WIP in Philadelphia. He took a shot at cowboy fans and their authenticity. We have the Philadelphia fan base, which is this extremely localized like die hard fan base that is authentic to, you know, all of them growing up together in this community in this environment that breeds authenticity and you have the cowboys fan base, which they have that in Dallas, but the majority of that fan base is built on commercialism and all of this like pop culture, Lakers, Yankees type fandom that I think is the complete opposite of what the Philadelphia Eagles fan base stands for. Okay. I get it. You know, cowboys, America's team. They've sold it as America's team. They were successful. They had a great run. They won super bowls. Popular players owner, coaches. The stadium, the cheerleaders. Yeah. I mean, they've tried to cultivate this. You know, Philadelphia does in Philadelphia is just you go in there and this is who we are, deal with us. Cowboy fans, you know, they're all over the place. Yeah, more. Yeah, they're one of those teams where no matter where you go, it's going to be 70 30. Like cowboys fans. There's going to be 30% of cowboys fans. Look at MetLife. I did a cowboys giants games a couple years back. It was damn near neutral. It might have been 60 40 as far as like the cowboys and all these people were born and raised in Jersey, Connecticut, New York. And they were like, oh, are you from Texas? They're like, no, I was born and raised in Bergen county. Like, what? But that's why you have shows that constantly focus on the cowboys. Even when the cowboys haven't been formidable, you know, they won what 13 games a couple of years ago, but for the most part, they're like, oh wow, they got the playoffs. I haven't done anything. But that popularity, that fan base is there, so you have people who program these shows. Actually, you have somebody who has data that says, you must talk about this. A lot of these shows have somebody who will tell you what to cover. And they do so you find a way to incorporate the cowboys. No matter what, cowboys. Still a huge draw, the biggest draw that we have in the NFL. Yeah, Poland. Yeah, I lived on Arizona for two years then. I know you lived in Arizona. I was shocked by how many cowboys fans lived in that state. It goes past the borders of the state like here. You're not going to find a lot of eagles fans in Montana or whatever it may be. But when I lived in Arizona, it was a ton of cowboys. Steelers. Packers, raiders, but that with that comes success. Forty-niners had a pretty good run. You have to have success. Because then it's your dad who hands it down to you. And then you hand it down to your son. There's a lineage that goes into that. Hey, we won. We follow that team. You know, sometimes you go, why am I rooting for this too? Well, because my dad did. Or his dad did, and then they hand it down to you. Because you sort of need like your grandfather may be following the cowboys to then hand it down to your dad to hand it down to you. Thanks, grandpa. Yeah, been a little while there. But I mean, there are fascinating team. There's always a temperature attached to them. There's something going on all the time. Yeah, Pauline. And it works the other way too. You don't just force your kid to watch your team. My kids, I tell them, pick the team that you want to follow because my team, it could be a struggle. All right, coming up, we'll hear from Troy Aikman talking about Cooper rush if the cowboys happened to win against Philadelphia Sunday Night. He thinks Cooper rush should be starting quarterback moving forward. Final hour coming up. One more item we close out our two. It's a subtle move when I come in. I gather everything, and then all of a sudden I get ready for my fruit smoothie. But then I go for the bag. You know, the athletes always talk about, oh, did you get the bag? Oh, he got the bag. "Here's the thing. I'm the good cop. My agent's the bad cop. Okay? I'm an Arizona cardinal, of course I'm here. I'm here. I'm hearing out checks. I'm here. You're there. I'm here. I'm still here. Want to be an Arizona cardinal? Guess what though? Whatever, the bad cops talking to the cardinals about. Desean Watson just got 230 million all guaranteed and I don't have 22 civil cases hanging over my head. That's why I'm smiling. They say that to you. I don't know you. And you're asking me about my Instagram account and my answer. I didn't have a plan for it when I was asked that question. Yeah. It's what the kids do. So the kids do. Of course I was pissed at the Cardinals. I erased all the photographs in a fit of pink. You don't do that? But it's back. I'm back. I'm here smiling. I'm the good cop. But guess what? When I get my benjamins, my bidwell benjamins, they better all be guaranteed, fully. Mister bidwell, get ready for an escrow check. That's quite large because that's what the haslam's did for Deshawn. And it's going to change the entire game of the entire way that people like mere signed. And I'm going to get mine. And I know it. That's why I'm smiling. That's what's up. That's what's up. You can't say that, can you? No, he can't. Can't say that. Can he? It's just the thing kids do. Kids are kids. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. We're all kids. But you don't just scrub your Instagram account of your everything that's associates you with your organization? Come on. Uh huh. That's what he was really thinking. Deion Sanders is coming up. Christian Kirk after him, Desean Watson's about to speak in Cleveland. Why would you touch? That dial, if you have one. Speaking of Deon, Jackson states pro day went down. And Dion was counting heads. Dion was counting heads. Did you see this? Video on his Instagram account? I heard about it. Coach prime, you've got the floor. Good day and God bless yesterday was phenomenal. I mean, flat out, phenomenal. All the kids that participated on pro day hats off to you. God bless you. The people that came in support, the coaches from the swag schools and various schools that came there to stand for your kid. I love you. 20 14s, 24 teens came to witness our kids yesterday in its entirety. And I appreciate you. But there's 32 teams. In this crayola box. Therefore, the dolphins, the Broncos, the Texans, the bills, the Buccaneers, the ravens, the Panthers, the browns, the Vikings, and the eagles. Where are they? Where? You could have sent somebody, man. You could have, you could have shown up just a little bit, but I guarantee you that you're gonna go to Mississippi state and old miss. I guarantee you you're gonna show up there. I understand. I understand you saying they have more talent. I understand. But guess what? We got. We come. We coming. And when we arrived, you better be here. You better be here. Because our kids, deserve it. You could have seen the scout. You could have sent somebody. Saw what I'm saying. We won't forget. Dang, that is awesome. Does he already have something on the side for those people who didn't like, is there going to be preferred seating for those who showed up at this pro day? Mike del two. You need to set prime up. Yes. With the levels of VIP and for the pro day. I have a feeling Dion's already well versed on how to set up very important situations. Mike can help with the lanyards. That's true. I get designed. You know what? You can hurt with the laminating. You can help with the lemonade. Yeah, I'm good at that. You can pitch in with the laminating. RES consulting. We just want a piece. Yeah, 'cause we're in from jump. Oh, this is gonna be fun. Don't go anywhere. Hey, it's rich eisen. And my first guest of season three of just getting started. Happens to be the new host of this podcast, my better half, Susie Schuster. You've got one of the most unique stories of how you got started, so why don't you come across the hall, take the chair and oh boy, wait a minute, I think I locked the door. It's not a metaphor for anything. How's the lighting in here? I mean, I'm vain. You know? So I thought for the first season, try to bring you people. I thought were diverse and different and maybe interesting and that's why I started off with Jeffrey Ross, the comedian. And then, you know, we've got a bunch of other asks out making Paul Rudd do a starring Paul do you know that you're doing it? And I want this to be inspirational. Life is really hard right now. And sometimes you just need a little bit of help. Someone to reach out their hand and pull you along or to push you from behind and say you can do this. And I'm hoping that's what you're going to get from just getting started. Go follow just getting started wherever you get your favorite shows..

"PJ carlesimo, who will be calling Villanova and Houston, the regional final in the south on Westwood one radio this weekend joining me here on the rich eisen show. I guess anybody who's made it this far has got to give anybody a shot and certainly I'm not going to slag on Arkansas because Eric muscleman said he hears everything. What do you think of duke and Arkansas as a regional final out west? Well, you know, I mean, personally, Mike is such a good friend and sentimentally everybody wants to see him. What we actually did for Westwood, we Kevin coogler and I did the Carolina duke game and after watching the first one, I'm just sitting there saying, boy, I hope Carolina like makes a game of this makes it legit. And because there was so much the atmosphere was incredible enduring for the three days leading up to it. And of course, Carolina came in and played great and are still playing really well. I'd like to see Mike get there. That's not fair to art. Why should he get there more than Eric and Arkansas? But again, tough cover. I think the difference is the ACC has Florida state. I think Mike has played more teams like Arkansas than Jay Wright and Villanova have played more teams like Houston. That's kind of convoluted logic. But I think duke's a little better equipped to go against Arkansas. And for nova, I think they've got to do what they do all the time. They find a way to slow down the other team, take them out of their offense. And then they out execute them in the half court. That's the part that normally you don't worry about with Villanova. That's going to be the challenge. I won't be surprised if they do it. But again, it's a strange thing rich and the NCAA one of the only things I didn't care for and it's just a silly coaches thing. You had three days to prepare for that first game. The Thursday or the Friday game in the first two rounds, you were ready for that when you had days to get ready. You could practice stuff. It was great. Then you have one day to prepare for the Saturday or Sunday game. It's usually a better team. You're tired. If you're a less deep team than your opponent, it works against you and I think all those things are working against Villanova right now. You need that you need the days to prepare. Even for the final four, it's the same thing. You have time to prepare for the Saturday game and then you get one day to prepare for the biggest game you've ever played in your life. So it's going to be interesting to watch. I think Mike's team, as young as they are, I still think they're equipped to play against Arkansas. I think that's going to be a great game. I hope we have a great game here in San Antonio. When did you first meet coach K, PJ Carlos? Well, I'll tell you what. You've named it before when we're together on Staten Island. Mike said army, we actually played the game. I mean, I sat digger wouldn't put me in the game. I always tell digger we'd have been better if he ever put me in a game. But I sat on the bench when Mike was the captain, he graduated in 70 from West Point. I graduated in 71 from Ford and we played each other every year. But where we really met was, I don't think I met when he was an assistant at Indiana. It was when he was coaching West Point and I was coaching Wagner. We played twice then. And that's in the mid 70s. And we've been very, very good friends. We coached a number of USA teams together back in world championship 90 in Buenos Aires. Jim beheim and Joe Harrington were on a staff together and Mike included me coaching a select team on his first two, I think, Olympic teams, I would coach the young guys. So really, really close for a lot of years, obviously when you start talking about all we are and we start with a 7, you know, we've been around that long time. So you first kind of met Mike chiczewski when you played against each other and then you coached against each other. He's at West Point you're in Staten Island in New York and Grimes hell's finest institution of higher learning Wagner college. And then what was it like coaching Olympic teams with him, PJ? What was that like? That's fantastic. First of all, he's inclusive. He's great with his staff. I mean, he welcomes input. The fact that I forgot to mention is how dumb I am. I forgot to mention 92 where we were both lucky enough to be assistants on the Dream Team. Yeah, that one. That one. Oh, that little summer in Barcelona. That we spent together. And it's really a family thing, rich honestly. I've known Mickey and his girls for so long. When they were young and I mean, now the grandkids. So it's amazing for us to be together, but Mike hasn't changed. Mike is exactly who he was from the Polish family that he was raised in Catholic Polish family in Chicago. He is not varied too much to be honest with you. He's very in terms of how he handles his players. He handles the so called modern guy better than most of us old dinosaurs, but in terms of his coaching philosophy in terms of his family, philosophy and how he is with his beliefs, he has not changed very much at all. Did you have it? Did you at any point at that Dream Team? Because again, you guys had accomplished so much and coach K accomplished so much. Look at each other and go, this is the most, this is the wildest thing of all time. Yeah, from day one. Honestly, when the first meeting we had, we.

"Show 8 four four two O four rich number to dial. He is part of Westwood one's coverage of the NCAA tournament. He was in San Antonio last night. He will be in San Antonio this weekend. It will be part of the final four coverage on Westwood one radio. I can introduce him in so many different ways, but he is also a former coach of Wagner college basketball in my hometown of Staten Island, New York. He's PJ carlismo. How are you doing, coach? Excellent. I love the intro. Thank you, rich. I appreciate it. You know what, you and I, we go back to The Rock days, man. The best burrow Staten Island advance Jay price doesn't get any better. J price is a great, great sports columnist. And by the way, you said the truth too, unbelievable. By the way, what a great writer, what a great person. Oh, absolutely. He was there when I was there as well. By the way, guys, he also, did you hear how he called the newspaper? You have to put you have to put the accent on the first syllable. It's the advances, not the advance. It's the adventure. Well done, coach. I love it. I love it. All right, so let's get into it. What makes Houston so good and so difficult to beat, do you think? The first thing is Kelvin Sampson. You have to give him just a ton of credit. You look at what he's done at everywhere he's coached. It's amazing. But Calvin will be the first to tell you. I think it was the first thing he said in the press conference last night. I was watching when I got back to the room, I was rewatching the postgame. He said, coach is always saying it's about players, but that's the truth, especially at this level. Nobody's winning with mirrors or with great moves when you get to the sweet 16 of the elite 8. They're so good defensively. They're so quick. They have good overall size. They're not real tall. I thought that was going to be a bigger problem last night than it turned out to be. Their front court dominated Arizona. Christian Cuoco had just improved so much this year. It's amazing. And I started thinking he wasn't the raw guy that he started the year with that he was this guy that was playing out of his mind. I happened to be with them in Vegas at the PAC 12 tournament and last week in San Diego and I said, wow, but their front court just took they took them Josh Carlton and Fabian white in particular. They just didn't let Christian koloko do what he's been used to doing. And bottle is still a little young and Azores to balance has just been playing poorly the last two weeks. That really hurt Arizona, but their front court is decent size and they played well, Carlton was a great acquisition to three guys they added. But when this year started, everybody was talking about Marcus sasser and Tremont mark being two of the better players for Houston. They both go down to injuries that are out the entire year. He doesn't miss a beat. Jamal shed as a sophomore, I thought he played fantastic. Last night, Kyler Edwards came over from Texas tech. They're just really good. They defend so well, rich. They're long, you know, even though they're not really tall at the center spot, they're very, very long. They play so hard. His team's always play hard. They get you back on your heels. And if you can't attack their defense, which Arizona was unable to do last night, you're in for a long night and Ben Mather and they're all American struggled. And I thought everything that happened happened because of Houston's pressure, they out quicked into every loose ball, they had quick them on the boards. I mean, they were just the better team last night every which way. And it just seems to me, PJ, you know, when you're talking about tough defense and also size but not terribly tall or big, you kind of describe Villanova in a way too, right? I mean, so you're standing quicker. They're quicker and they're longer. They're both exceptional, half court defense teams. I think Houston has a little more versatility in terms of they can go up and down the floor, maybe a little bit more readily. They're deeper, only slightly deeper. I wouldn't call either of them a deep team, but going over right now, I mean, basically he's playing 6. I mean, Jay road with Eric Dixon when he got the third file. I don't think he even considered taking him out and going any deeper in his lineup and he got away with it, which was great. Philadelphia won because they had more players play well. It wasn't a lot more, but it was more than Michigan. The only guy helped really helping out hunter Dickinson was Eli Brooks, so you talked about before. I played great in his last college game. It's kind of interesting. Eli has played the most games in the history of the University of Michigan basketball and Colin Gillespie's played the most games in the history of Illinois basketball. And there's a lot of similarities between those two guys, not the first, at least of which is they played against each other four years ago here and although they weren't big factors in the game, but they played as freshmen in the national championship game. I like both of these teams. I don't know that had better be able to attack Houston. But beat them on the dribble, get some things going because Houston kind of takes you out of what you're trying to do. And then one of those teams, you know, the shot clock runs down and your guy has to be dead guy. He's got to make a play. No one was able to do that last night. A very few times was Arizona able to do that. So I really like Villanova, obviously. But people I think are still, people still don't believe Houston's as good as they were. I happen to have them like three times in Indianapolis last year. I mean, everybody forgets that they just went to the final four. I mean, the numbers they're putting up, the success they're having in the tournament. I mean, there's 7 straight 20 win seasons. They're fourth consecutive NCAA. It really doesn't matter what's happened in the last year, I think matters a little bit. And Houston was a final 14. But they've never lost in the elite 8. This seems ridiculous. I don't think anybody else is better than two and they're like 6 when they've been in the elite 8. So there's still a little under the radar, but boy, they are legit and you had better be able to attack their defense and you better be able to go with them on the glass..

"Whatever it was. And you know, look, go to Riley with the Knicks, you did it with Anthony mason and John Starks in those type of guys. So that for all the stuff that people talk about with Riley about, you know, showtime and all the stars, LeBron, wade, magic, you know, et cetera, blah, blah, blah. He's connected in New York, man. Like, he's lunch pail. His dad was a rough and tumble type dude that would make him do all sorts of crazy. Okay, when he was a kid and made him as tough as he was and it's why he was basically he went from being a star in college to being basically a Bruce Bowen type in the NBA. You know what I mean? Like, that's who he was. He had to scrap to survive. So those he loves those guys. So when you look at this roster, you know, whether it's Caleb Martin, right? Or Gabe Vincent, who I was calling gigli games for it with PJ carlesimo, the G league showcase when he was at the Stockton kings and Adam Simon of the heat, the guy who won earth's all these diamonds in the rough was there and he's the guy flying all over the country to these small little gyms and small gyms across the world to find these type of guys and it's them and Toronto, at least for me that do the best job in the NBA, finding it unearthing these guys. Yeah, Gabe Vincent is like Kyle Lowry sits out just pencil him in for 15 to 20 points. It's like Dwayne dedman gets hurt. Big bam gets her big yurt starts in he's putting up double doubles and Caleb Martin just such a heat player. Just he's just always in some. He's just always at the rim trying to block a shot. He's dunking on people. He likes contact. He's boxing out bigger dudes just to do it. You said it. This is a very, I said it the first week of the season, the first ten things column I wrote this season. This is just, it's almost so heat that it's too much heat. Like it's just such a, they're just so mean and nasty and physical. And look, defensively, I think there's 6 overall in defense. I think clearly when they have their best defenders on the floor, they are as advertised. They're going to be an absolute nightmare to score on in the playoffs, they're going to be able to switch. I feel like I've said before, they weaponize their own versatility, like a lot of teams switch schemes from a position of weakness. Okay, this isn't working. Let's try this. The heat switch schemes from a position of strength. We've been switching this whole time. Boom, here's traditional defense. Boom. Here's a trap. Another thing when the other team has a two for one or is trying to run the clock out and get the last shot, the heat will spring traps out of nowhere just to speed that team up and try to get the heat to get a two for one or the heat to get the last shot just to get them to shoot sooner. And you can see these teams are like, what the hell is coming at us? We don't even know. Defensively, you know, and their top four defenders are so good, they can easily absorb a Robinson or a hero as sort of a weak link on the wing. To me, the question about this team has always been, are they going to be able to score enough in the half court when push comes to shove against elite postseason defense? Who are more likely to be able to switch a lot of their stuff. We're going to have all the Duncan Robinson stuff scouted and they're on high alert for it. Who are going to have the Kyle Lowry 75 foot hit a heads like they're going to be on high alert for that to try and take away their transition game. Can this team score enough in the half court because they're not a great shooting team, Lowry and Robinson are, but bam's a mid range guy butler is a mid range guy Tucker on Tucker leads a league at three point shooting at sound ridiculous for me to say they're not a great shooting team. BJ Tucker literally leads the league in three point shooting. But can they scrounge enough in the half court? I think what we've seen in the last couple of weeks is trending in a good direction for them, but that to me is their bellwether. What's your bell weather for them? Like whether they can actually, what are they can actually pull this off and let's say make the finals. Well, by the way, real quick, let me double back on the defense. You forgot to mention the spo zone, right? Yeah, there you go. There's another one. Yeah, he loves to just kind of randomly throw a zone at you and particularly when it comes to their switching. We saw what they did to demar Derozan yesterday, right? You had PJ to start on him. They would switch bam on him. And then all of a sudden, PJ would switch on vucevic and seal vucevic, which of which did not have the type of game that you would have thought considering that they were going to try to get that he were forcing bam onto Derozan a ton. And I think the bulls thought they could take advantage of PJ and clearly they haven't done it..

Kevin situation, PJ Carlesimo. It's a slippery slope. It appears that Milwaukee's dancing with here early in the third quarter, Yeah, they're not defending very well. They've been outscored 13 to 9. If this challenge goes against him, Phoenix is right back in it, and Yannis is doing all the scoring. That's okay. But the other guys have got to join the frank. PJ. It's very interesting because it looked for a split second, like P. J. Tucker was moving Cast E. J. B N Doris. However, Kim Johnson has led up my timeline on Twitter. Yeah, well kept and P. J. It is an unsuccessful challenge for Mike Budenholzer. And this replay review was brought to you by YouTube TV. "We played in the championship game, though I remember at Glen Rice and Rumeal Robinson and everything else. And so so, you know, look, you and I go back to all that stuff. But my understanding and I'm thrilled is that you heard part of the conversation and you wanted to get in and I'd love nothing more. The floor is yours. What is your perspective as a longtime college coach, name, image and likeness. Well, it was just time for and I held. There's no question about that. There is way more good to it than bad. I will say this and then I'll just all I wanted to do was make The average fan aware of some facts that I think they're just not there. Let me start with them. It probably makes more sense. I did I coach for 23 years in college. I was also an athletic director for five of those years for a Division one school, Wagner. Wanted Division two school at the time. New Hampshire College Now Southern New Hampshire University, and the Ah is not the group of people that now work in Indianapolis used to being in Kansas City Overland Park. All the rules in the N C. Double a are made by the schools. You know, everybody always all the N C. Double a legislated this. All those people do is administer the rules. Emerton. All the people you know, over the years, even going back to Walter Byers. They don't vote on any of the rules. The rules are all made by the colleges by the athletic director's by the president's By the conference commissioners. Whoever the voting people are, um that's one. You know, I think big misconception. People have DNC double voted. It's the schools themselves doing the voting. Secondly, the majority of division one schools, their biggest source of income is the double a Division one basketball tournament. And when that's administered around the country, not the big schools, the schools in the big conferences, they make money off their TV contracts off attendance and things like that. The power conferences If you will, but all the other schools. The vast majority of other conferences, their biggest source of income for their athletic department is their share of the Division one basketball tournament, So when that money gets administered out, it goes to the conferences, and they run the Various conference tournaments in all sports during the year and then they pass the money on down and a lot of the scholarship money, a lot of travel budgets and money that these various schools have. The biggest source of income is the Division one tournament so that money is going back to the schools. It's not going to Indianapolis to the end. She don't believe that entity that everybody talks about. They administer all the rules. The other thing that always bothered me, Greenie is when they talk about N I l when they talk about Student athletes not getting anything. The biggest thing they forget is every time I sat in the living room and every time as a Pat Fitzgerald or Chris Collins, every time you're writing checks, I know I don't know what it costs to go to Northwestern Mama. Venture A guess it's over. It's close to $300,000 for four years where every division one athlete who is a scar, full scholarship athlete is getting one of those scholarships It's worth. Even back when I was at Wagner and Seton Hall, it was $200,000. You know, at the private schools. Okay, it's less at a state school but still a division One athlete gets. A couple $100,000 scholarship room, board tuition books and fees and gets a college degree from that, like no one's talking about that's like all these poor guys are And girls are playing. They're not get anything from it Hold. The first thing they're getting is an education. That's what it's all about. And when you focus on the one and done and the people that are only there one year Hey, that's a small, small percentage of the division one athletes and they're not the norm. The normal people that go to school for four or five years. There's not a limit on the scholarship. Benefit from it and get a degree and get a couple $100,000 from these schools. So I just say that in terms of well, wait a minute, there is something else that these student athletes are benefiting from from going and playing Division one now again. Division to Division three. They're not getting scholarships for sure, but I'm pro and I l But I'm a little bit in favor of the blade. Just in terms of saying Wait a minute. There's a lot of good being done any answer, particularly in Division one with the scholarships. I hear you completely PJ Carlesimo with me on the Goodyear hotline, helping you discover the road ahead. Goodyear more driven. That's why I have always in my own mind, PJ sort of separated Well, there's a line for me between paying a salary to the athletes versus allowing them to capitalize on their name, image and likeness. Paying. His salary gets into a very confusing area because you've got a lot of athletes are all working just as hard. Many of them are not generating as much money. Are you paying the quarterback more than you're paying the linemen? Are you paying the lineman more than you're playing the swimmer? I've always felt that was a very complex issue. The name image and likeness never felt complex to me. It always felt like if because this you know if the football team wins a big game, and the offensive lineman walks into a subway sandwich, and I'm a guy standing in there and I'm like, Hey, great game today. Let me buy you your sandwich, and that kid loses his eligibility because I bought him a turkey sandwich. That's where I've always said. Something's really right. You're right, And that's ridiculous. There's two things that concern me going forward. And I l let's be honest. Where do you think That the danger for boosters and I know it said boosters can't do it. We know that's going to happen. Where do you think kids are going to get opportunities to represent a You know, do a commercial for a car dealership. It's going to be at the schools where there's already concerns and, you know, I mean, that's the one where there's going to be people lining up. To help these players, you know, and I Els so that's going to be very That's why the still blaze out of it, to be honest with you that in that sense, you notice what the did let let the schools deal with it because the legislation is so different from state to state. What NHL actually means in a particular state, and I'm a little scared going down the line. If they ever get into something like, well, let's tax Then we got to tax these guys for these $200,000. Scott and I know the check your writing for Northwestern. Let's tax somebody that got room board tuition, books and fees. That's taxable income. So it's really a Pandora's box. Who knows where it's going to go? I hope it never goes there. I'm really concerned what's going to happen in the really competitive division one conferences, particularly in men's and women's basketball and in football, The potential that's going to be there there. They already have recruiting advantages, and it's just hard for me to imagine schools other than these schools that you know that sellout football stadiums basketball arenas and are going to have people lined up to help their particularly there. High visibility athletes with NHL opportunities to get interesting..

"Game P. J. Carlesimo's Their joint is that 2 30 Teddy Atlas. At 3 30, which looks to be a Pretty damn cool documentary on show team. Showtime called the King's to four parts special focusing on Durant, Hagler, Hearns and Leonard. That's what I'm talking about. Chris Mullin would join us for 50 and bags will join us at 5 30 Taeko Giants baseball fellows, What's going on, Yo. What a weekend. My correct very happy Krueger. Oh, my God came of the year. Yes. And it all hinged un pull holes deep to left talking and going back. Oh, my goodness. That was if the Giants keep this rolling and somehow reach October. I think we're gonna be pointing to That incredible game and that incredible catch That was amazing. There's no doubt about it, cause I was stunned when they tied it up. I was like Austin Barnes. Yeah. Got to be kidding me. I was like, seriously. Ever. They can't beat these guys. Villages something and not only did they beat him is three in a row is like bam, bam! Bam! I was like, okay? Okay? Get the we left. We're one of the Giants of fair Over the weekend. We already saw one loss to the Dodgers were like, Damn. He had three more. Do we have three more to go this weekend? We come back. Guess who's sitting on top of the NL West? Sir, the San Francisco Giants 34 20 the thing that we talked about one of the things but the biggest thing we talked about going into this season and Tommy, you brought it up. Because It made sense. How would they fare against the Padres and the Dodgers? And if they could just if they could be OK against those guys? That's a success. What we're seeing right now is they can easily compete with them. So now at this point is game on. Yeah, you know, I mean, they played basically the same number of games. You know, for both of those teams, the Padres and the doctors and I don't have the numbers rattling around in my head. But it's been a lot more success than many of us thought that they would have their deposits to one over against the pods one under against the Dodgers against these two seeming juggernauts. This game on now to first and they're in first place half a game ahead of the Padres. The most amazing the most amazing thing, guys, and then I'm watching this team my whole freaking life. I've never seen this. They're on pace for 102 wins. They're hitting 2 30 as a team. They're not really hitting. I mean, yes, is cold. Dickerson's cold Slater's averages way lo talk. Min sub 200. And We're one third of the way through the season in the toughest division. I think that we've seen in baseball in quite a while. And they're on and they played these teams there 500 against him, and they're on pace to 11 or two. I mean this. I'm just enjoying it hoping it continues every night. Well, here is my dears, too. And I'll be there tonight. Just you you. Are You gonna go bringing bringing the boys the boys? Uh, so they're reasonable facsimiles? Yeah. Yeah, mirror images of each other exactly without looking into the stats. Uh, there we know that can pitch we know. We know they can pitch the bullpens Been good that great but good. Uh, Roger's been incredible. Andrea Starting pitching has been phenomenal. But as far as the hitting goes like I don't know if numbers would bear this out. I mean, they look they can't hit. A lot of teams can use that doesn't hurt you as much, but they are second home run, so they hit the ball over the wall, but it's not just the hit home runs. There is not a real meat of their order. They got like guys. You can hit home runs all through the lineup, like the seventh guy, the eighth guy, that leadoff guy, I mean, they can all hurt you and they might have a whole bunch of guys this year. They have 10 home runs or more, so it's not. You know, I got to do is a cash in a few times, right? You get cash in a few times, and it could be this guy could be that guy. Maybe it's a couple guys on base hit a three run, Jack. You get a big hit here, but it's not. Oh, man to get to the bottom of the order, and they're all outs. They're not all out. I mean, cause they can all hit it out of the ballpark two and even guys coming off the bench. Can head out of the ballpark. So I think that's the strength of this team. Not necessarily hitting for average, but they have guys that can hurt you throughout the order, so one guy may not have a monster year. When you look at his stats throughout the whole year, But when you add it all up, you're gonna be like Oh damn, That guy has 19. That guy has 17 17 14 13 11 10 10 10 12 You like Okay, I I kind of see how they do it now. I don't know. You know who has the I don't know what the like. How many guys have like 45 more Homer Bible, More home runs in the giant. I could look for a quicker form or whatever would put you on pace for 10. Probably about four. I guess that puts you on pace for 10 at this point. But to me, that's like the thing of this lineup and again. It's deep because it reminds me a little bit of the Rays line up in that they talked about the race today and they were saying, Well, I mean, Joy windows their best hitter. Glass knows their best picture. They got the best record in baseball there half game over the Giants on and they only have one guy on that team that might make the All Star team. I mean, that's incredible to think they have one guy that might make The All Star team. They're saying glass now probably probably would be that guy. The Giants are similar in that you look at this team You like. All right. Buster is an all star Gausman Zagat's Mons, an All Star. Maybe they have another one. But it's not a team. You look at, like the Dodgers. You like. Oh, damn. They could have four all stars on that team. But the Giants aren't that team. So it really is. I mean, both of these teams are doing it with team. They're doing it with deaths that the depth they're doing it with guys that can hurt you up and down the order. They didn't just say, you know, it's let's spend all this money in our top four. And then they arrested the You know the rest of line. It's gonna be a little not really sure. That's not how they've done it. And it seems to be paying. You know, you know what? It's organization, Its organizational. That's the other thing, too. It's like The Rays or have been on the cutting edge of the analytics. Since since the beginning, the Giants under this era under this regime, have wed themselves completely to the analytics. They're seeing those numbers through to the field, and I'm wondering as you brought up Tampa is maybe we're in the early days like this works technically, probably in the early days of the heavy analytics. Is. It may be that the baseball team should have a strict adherence to the analytics and less of the, you know. Hey, well, you know less of the old school mate. Are we seeing the two newest school analytic? You know, driven organizations, um, picking up actual ground in the standings and winning games by what they do in the office prior to the game..

Golden State Absolutely Thumps Dallas But the Warriors and Maddox coming up on Saturday night, PJ Carlesimo, you were all over the Lakers defense is to how well they played in the early portion of the season. Sean Kelley and PJ tonight Denver is shooting 46%. They put 52 on the board still trying to go kneel in the second quarter. Gather up a dozen here and PJ If I'd have told you late first half that Denver would be up by 12 and equally. Yokich had five points. I've been feeling you would've called me something unkind know without question, I would have it. He's only got four rebounds to go with those five points were gang up on the guy. His numbers. Been ridiculous. The difference has been the three point line. They're five for 11. Denver Lakers four for 15 really struggling and surprisingly second chance points 93 in favor the Nuggets. They're doing it in different ways. One of the shot clock inbound corner left. Marie launches the three but it's an air ball. They tried to follow it in but ran out of time shot clock inspiring out of the time out. So Ella gets a needed stop here with 2 51 to go in the first half. We just talked about Denver is leading by 12. There are 12 to 3 run. And the Lakers have combined miss shots and turnovers to basically go empty in the last six trips last couple minutes, Shawn, You know, I'm always crying about how you finish a quarter. I have finished half we'll see right now what the Lakers do its final 2.5. Thank you very much. In Los Angeles tonight at the Staples Center. It is the marquee matchup of the evening in the N B, A and a rematch of the Western Conference finals as the 16 and six Los Angeles Lakers. Welcome in the 12 and eight Denver Nuggets. I get everybody with PJ Carlesimo. I'm showing Kelly All teams trending in the right direction. Denver by the way, is 16 of their last seven and L. A is finally back home after a long and successful road trip with that we say hello to my partner PJ Carlesimo and team up for tonight's game plan between the Lakers and the Nuggets. Showed. I think rebounding is going to be a major factor these air two of the best rebounding teams in the MBA. The difference is Denver wins with offense and rebounds to the number two offensive rebounding team in the league. Los Angeles wins with defense and rebounds their number one defense of rebounding team in the league, So I think whichever team does a better job on the boards that's going to be a major factor. Also for the Denver Nuggets. They've got to do a good job contesting Lakers shooters Lakers are Number six and field goal percentage number six and three point percentage, and Denver has really struggled in both of those categories. This year. They've got to do a much better job contesting two shooters for Los Angeles when I've gotten in trouble. It's because they've turned it over to much. And Denver is top 10 in the league in steals and points off turnovers. So it's incumbent upon the Lakers to take good care of the ball, Shawn. Hi p. J. Thank you very much. "For Frank Vogel, the head coach of the Lakers, not bad he to first year with the team got a ring One in NBA title also helps that you got LeBron and Anthony Davis and now Lakers air back home After a seven day 13 game road trip longest of the season short time ago that coach the Lakers Frank Vogel spoke with both Sean Kelley and P. J. Carlesimo. Ever. Thank you very much, Coach. First of all Welcome home. You've been gone a long time. What did you learn about your team on the long road trip? Well, I think way. Haven't got a group of guys that is interested in, you know, continue to build chemistry. You know, and recognizing the value in that and you know, without the ability to leave our hotel rooms, you guys still came down to the bar rooms that we had and Try to try to make the best of a tough situation in terms of bonding and on connected, you know, which would you see a lot with teams when we hit the road, so it's good to see that they still have that problem. Frank with his many new faces as you have, and I know it's only 22 games with 22 games is a bigger chunk of the schedule this year. Your defense is to me way ahead to scout you really defending at a very high level for this early in the year. Yeah, I'm pleased for the most part. Um, you know, I always feel like we can be better, uh than we are, And that's an encouraging thing because we're leading the league in defensive rating right now. But we have a lot of love, intelligent guys. We have a lot of defensive talent on this team. You know when? When someone Anthony LeBron first but but also, guys like, you know, Marcus Ally and Montrose, Harold and No in particular. I think one of the areas we've got a big lift on the defensive end is what Dennis Schroder does on brings to the table his speed on the perimeter. You know, it's really given us an uptick on the defensive side of the ball and No. When you got guys like him and Casey, PS Caruso, West Matthews Tail important sucker. You know, you got five guys right there even called Koosman really competes. You know, they could really flat out guarding the perimeter, You know? So you guys were having a hike care fact on that end and So far so good, But you know, he's always room for improvement. We talked about all year. You're great players. You're all stars. You know the guys that have accomplished so much. You got 100 50 G league player that I mean it used to be was impressive that he got playing time. Now. He's like a rotation player making big plays late in the game, Alex Cruz, so he talked about him a little bit. Yeah, He's been invaluable. Ammonium back to 80 in the mid post back to the basket with 5 80 turns and it knocked away Kevin Walker with the steel down floor too far for Brown. He's able to save it seven seconds to go down one over to Walker Walker with three squares shoots off the rim. No horn sounds and the Lakers pay on 96 95 the final Anthony Davis would lead the Lakers in his return to the lineup. With 27 points and 14 rebounds. LeBron had 21 points. What a game between the Lakers and Celtics Usually they deliver. They did to not We had 15 ties 17 Lee changes We felt like we might get the ultimately change of the and tough night for Kemba Walker. Daniel Thais had a tap at it, too, with the buzzer, but the Lakers PJ hang on for a one point win. Well, I think they did it with defense. They did a really good job. In the fourth quarter, they created seven turnovers. Boston really hurt themselves seven turnovers in the fourth quarter lead to eight L a points. They also did a good job on jail and Brown. Gela Brown was sitting on 24 points at the end of the third quarter. Testy They limited him to four in the fourth quarter. LeBron James no surprise. He got seven points right there. He had a couple of careless turnovers and Boston after they dug themselves. A whole got too big stops late. I got it. I thought a pretty good look for Kemba Walker. But Campbell was just having one of those nightmare games. He couldn't put the ball in the basket. And, you know, as you referenced Daniel Thais had a pretty good look. It wasn't It wasn't bear. There was traffic in there, but he got two hands on it, and it would have been very similar to what happened in Philadelphia a couple nights ago. Well, the Lakers came up with the big defensive effort in the fourth quarter. Celtics a tough loss at home and we'll have to wait and see just how bad the lost maybe for Marcus Smart, who left in the second half with a left calf strain. Had no question about that. That would be a major major blow to the Boston Celtics. You talk about me excellent defensive player, first team all NBA player, but he is the heart and soul that his team and chemist back. This was only Kevin Walker's six game after coming back from the surgery and not being there, he showed it tonight. He's played better in some of the other games, but he really struggled tonight one for 12/5 from the field. Again. The Laker bench. 17 33 35 points off the bench. Koosman with 11 mantra is Harold with 16. Robert Williams, Really the only effective player off the Boston bench. Anthony Davis and Jalen Brown in particular were magnificent. As work. Jason Tatum and LeBron James. You got unfortunately, no one there to watch it. But our vintage Los Angeles Boston game decided on the last shot, as should be. Well. "Lanka boosted the bottom of the hour. One thing I had my notes today you called a lot of his games 22 years ago. Today, the words traded with Charles Frere it'll the mix for John Starks, Chris Mills and Terry Cummings. Spree. Yeah, that was after I put a little mustard Must have Ah, e remember the trust very well. Very, very well from when he was drafted. And you know, when he came into the N b A. I thought he was the next er done. He couldn't score you could he could lock you up and right away. He was gonna be a Tremendous defensive player in the NBA, but his athleticism I He's a lot to me like in a Guard version more of it straight to of Kalai, Leonard. Where he didn't know the code. I would be this good offensively. Spree. I mean, right away, is a rookie. He averaged 15 points a game. What happened? Was he you know, he got and Chris Webber side of the locker room. And you know what? Hardaway tours a CL They decided together. And I lost that team. You know, it just became Hueber and spree. Well, and you know, on the other side was the rest of the guys. Molly and Tim was hurt. Mitch was already traded and It was. He was just, you know, you're talking about Dan Campbell. The tough guy. The trust free Well, was a incredibly tough guy. And borderline insane. I remember he had One or two attack dogs. I think they were government ventures, Maybe Rottweilers. And the dog bit his daughter's ear off. And shoes, a child, just a baby, and it happened that day. We had a pre season game that night and he comes out. He's no layup line. I forgot where we were Stockton or somewhere. Could not believe he was in a play. I've ever say no, I'm you don't have to play this game to take the game off. And he just that steely eyed Look and He played and he even He was tough. He was a top player. And then you know, obviously what happened with PJ Carlesimo. When I was gone. That year, I was already in San Antonio. So I just heard the stories from PJ and mainly from ST And you know how insane he Woz, you know, coming up to saints office and just tipping things over and it got it got bad and then they wind up. You know, because of the situation with You know, after he got to know, with Carlos tomorrow, I'm going up the state's office and basically was gonna kill P. J was gonna kill him. And they, you know, so they always the figure $68 million. He didn't get paid. And it was. It was bad. He got suspended ports. Thank God and all that, and No, he wanted up getting traded, and he did well. He was a good player with the Knicks, where it went sideways for him was the end of his career in Minnesota. When Forget to figure remember, he told Glenn Taylor, the owner, the champ, You got it right here. It's hard to feed your family. How many million eight, so he's coming off of five and 62 with the Knicks gets traded to the Timberwolves. Hey, was offered an extension for three and 21 so he's coming off of 5 62 gets offered three and 21. And he says, quote. Why would I want to help them? Win a title? They're not doing anything for me. I'm at risk. I have a lot of risk here. I got my family to feed it was like, but the line was it's hard to feed your family. I like 18 Million or whatever. It was three and 21. Yeah. So Yeah, he, uh And what was the he was in an ad? Uh, he was well after a lot of a couple of years ago, and he was key Got really heavy, didn't you? Yeah, It was a lot of what was that? What was that company was he was doing ads. We like walk by and he ate like somebody's french fries off the table or something. I don't remember. Exactly Remember. He was an idea that he was really He was really heavy. You got heavy. Oh, yeah. What was that? Oh, no, I can't remember. No idea what all this It was like. Is that literal spree? Well, like you just came out of nowhere. Right? It was like the trail spree. Well, commercial for Priceline. Was that one? The one? Yeah. That must have been it. But he got he got huge that you fire this up. Yeah. So anyway, he was, You know, terrific player. He really was. Yeah, I think it was. You know what else? I remember him when he was when Michael was out of the league. People started calling spree. Well, man, he was Mitch, but they referred to spree. Well, if somebody told spree Michael that spree Wells, the best to guard in the NBA. We were playing and, uh Two games, won one game again Chicago in San Jose. We're playing it safe to say that one year He showed up like 45 minutes late for the game. He walked in. Rick Adelman was a coach, and the score was like 28 before something Chicago. It's like spring. Where the hell you ban In a game may have tipped off. It may have been on national TV and you know he's got caught in traffic, like really, and he walked into the game. He Adelman never even saw because I could see him coming through the tunnel. And he just basically checked himself in the game. It was like, what do you doing? You're the head coach, and he shows up late. You may not know how to play the whole game and you're getting rolled anyway, so you may want to hold him out. But he was just out of control and one game. Michael had it out for him. And from the opening tip. Michael went to get him. You know what Michael would hike up his shorts real hide and get low on the ground and touch. The floor. Defensively is like, Oh, here it comes. The Dover man. He's gonna be out here all day. And I never turning of Arnett in a commercial, and I said, What did spree will do to piss off Michael Jordan. He locked him obligated. He did not Scott. He scored the whole game. It's got a head like 24 in the first half. Michael didn't even teach him score his guy his whole thing. Was just shut down spree well spree well, did not have a basket until literally seconds to go in the first half, he caught an air ball. You know the old line about air balls go to the offense. It was an air ball shot. He caught it and laid it in at like at the horn to end the first half, and that was the only basket. He scored the first half. For some reason, Michael coming out of the you know, two years away, playing Baseball something somebody said something that's very well said or something, and it just pissed him off. And he completely shut spree out. Just wouldn't let him breathe. Yeah, that would not be good. That was it. Every single time Something happened and then he was like, Okay, I got my motivation for tonight. He was unbelievable in there. I usually drop 50 on you Miss game would not. He didn't want to score. Let's Scotty score that night. He just would not. He climbed in spree Wells Jersey like, what is he doing? It was incredible when you wanted the guard like that. He was the best. All right, Caboose pistol time We'll do it coming up national here on the sports later. Did you know you can listen to Papa in London? Your Google home? Smart speaker. Just say play. Okay. Wow, it's going to be an and one also. Yeah. All right. So off the stat monitor. I could tell you that the foul is on Jaca Pirtle. And David and wobbles at the line to our left Here is we get going in the fourth quarter. And the free throw is good, so count that it is 79 78 San Antonio early seconds here in the fourth quarter. Lost our audio feed as well. The true one from the arena Spurs should be the end of our right over two mill swing left for three off the edge of the rim. No good cousins in the battle was the rebound against Jaca Pirtle. Those little Brown is struggling from downtown 1451 for six. They update the stat sheet. Jones misses the free throw line jumper the end of our left rebound. San Antonio Mills drives and kicks back to gay, not a mills. After resetting on of a cell pass from the right way mills around the purple screen angle right, three short. Off the front rim and Houston's able to clear it. Kind of 29, now from three of the Spurs. Thousands top of the ark looks inside, cutting to the rib, leaping and catching and laying in the same time is David and Wanda. Wanna play to make it 8 to 79. The Rockets are back on top. I'm not going away. Sit up. Cell goes around the portal screen turns the corner, the lane and a runner. The rim draws a foul shot is missed. But Devon vous l rookie will go the line here to shoot too. The file charge to the Rockets. Obviously And it is KJ Martin. Tomorrow to Rosen, Conspicuous by his absence, at least on the statue's got three points. He's one for six. But what's that? Showing? Shaun is you? You know, last time he played with Saturday in Minneapolis? We don't know when he got back from Los Angeles, visiting his sick father. In California. You just can't get away from the game that much for that long a time and come back, and particularly now you don't know whether he had access to a court when he was out there and It's difficult. These players, even though it's what they do for a living. You need to be doing it day in and day out, or it gets away from you a little bit. Would imagine. A lot of his attention was toward his father, who is ill, both free throws good by the way. His cousin's top of the ark threads the needle of the past. Down the lane Jones. He got under the rim hard angle to try and finish. He thought he was fouled. The ball goes out of bounds after kicking off of a fellow teammate on the Spurs haven't lied to the floor to go. There's no room in either team stat sheet for any more shots in the paint. There have been so many paint shots this evening. There's another one runner to the rim and off the glass and in its have finished by Devin Vessel in a crowd. And that makes it 83 80 in favor of the Spurs. And a whistle here stops playing the right silent again. PJ not from her home studios working off an alternate feel We've lost our main feed. Foul called here against San Antonio's It appears Yep. "Curry. Pulls up three. Their largest lead of the series, trailblazers would lead by thirteen at half, but a huge third-quarter for Golden State. They kept poor get onto the fourth quarter lead by sets older brother. Hurry weaves into the front court circles back to the right wing against his brother clear. It out looney comes out high to set the screen goes the other way in for the tunnel ram lay today Steph Tori with thirty four three Golden State up a dozen their largest lead of the game. Steph curry would finish with the game. I thirty six the warriors rally again to beat the blazers this time a one ten ninety nine final. Golden State of three nothing series lead now for a post game extra and Amine, PJ Carlesimo called the game on ESPN radio one to ninety nine Golden State over Portland in comeback fashion once again in game three they come back from eighteen down in the second quarter. They were down thirteen at half time. And just like in game two they come all the way back in other warriors have a commanding three OSA. His lead in the conference final. I mean, there's so many players playing well for this team. I really believe at Golden State doesn't get credit for how good a defensive team. They are what they didn't third quarter. They just refused to let Damian Lillard C, J McCollum get a good look at the basket. They double team. They trapped him. They harassed him. And then when they turn them over came up with the defensive rebound, Draymond green was leading the fast break as he did all night and just ran right back down to blazers throats seventeen eighteen point lead doesn't matter consecutive games. When you defend the way they defended in the second half. And when you share the ball the way they do and get the contributions. They got from their bench to good. Let's talk about two things. Let's start with dream on green. And then let's talk about that bench. Draymond green had a triple double with two minutes to go in the third quarter. That's what Golden State ended up taking its first lead of this game after trailing by eighteen dream on green is playing his best basketball of the season right now. And he continues to do it in the biggest game. Averaging double double in points, and rebounds becomes close in cysts every night tonight he got twelve assists on top of that, but four steals A-block shot, and he sets the tone for this team when they were struggling in the first half to stay in the game him, pushing the ball created all the fast break opportunities in the second half he got a lot of help at one point. It was twenty two eight bench points in favor of Portland wrote Golden State spent just in the second half just jumped all over them and it wasn't just with the offense combined looney was excellent McKay defensively Shaun Livingston as always Jordan bell Quinn. Cook Jonas Gerardo. I mean, Steve Kerr's keeps throwing fresh bodies at them and one after the other. They all contribute, there just weren't enough players even come close to matching that for the Portland trailblazers and for a fourth consecutive playoff game. Steph curry has thirty plus points head that huge performance in the second half against Houston in game six, and he's been rock solid. And beyond in this series.
