"About outlet shopping. That was a period when outlet stores and off price shopping was on the rage, and I sent her a press release and she took a big chance She put us on the year she gave us $2000, which was a lot of money at that time to go out and purchase items to compare and show how we could save people money and she had us on the air. I'll tell you, it changed my life. Um, we had a blast with her. She was wonderful, and that's how it kind of started. That's how my writing career actually started. And you know you do need the text. I think that's really important. A book of photographs is alone. No offence, Jim. I think it's great to have the text gym when you were shooting, especially Early on, and then you started your 19 years old 1972 a stones concert. Have you ever been told to stop? I know. Another well known photographer will mention his name because he's probably in competition with you guys. But there's been times where he's had cameras ripped out of his hands by artist or, more likely, their security people, their handlers for not having all the paperwork done or essentially not bribing the right people to get access. Have you had that experience? No, not in the seventies because I was the official photographer for flip side, So I got to go backstage and shoot all the bands and the manager's glaring Carl Rosen. Bombay took care of all that. So that never happened. What was starting to happen? In the end? The end of the seventies, I would say is, they're starting to limit you three songs, and that was one song and It just got to be a little pain, So I stopped doing it and in the dark Kat, it's the same thing round. Honesty takes care of everything. And Lou Biladi also take care of everything out there. And so I I really don't have any hassles. I mean, the only time anything's ever happened was I had a photo pass to photograph a member of the doors, had the camera up and ready in, like five seconds before Showtime about Sir came up, said they decided they don't want to take any pictures. So there was an FDR kata. There was elsewhere. But No, I've never had anything grabbed out of my arms or anything like that. So I I've been very lucky, and I mentioned a photographer. I know And I know you know it's name. A lot of people do. But he got into a very public battle with the F or mention Oprah and actually. One some of his photos back from her archives, which is ah, stunning victory, considering who he was fighting with in court. Mark Plotnick, the writer. Have you ever had done an interview with somebody? And they said after the interview looked just scratch it all. I was out of sorts that day. No, actually in my corporate career, I've interviewed a lot of the cheque. It is a big companies for several trade magazines and companies that I worked for, and I've never had that experience. I actually, uh, trying to prepare myself for interviews and try and be cordial in my goal has always been to put people in the best light possible. When I write about them, so I've actually ever had that experience. Hunter Thompson. I just finished re reading a compilation of his material from Rolling Stone over the years, and he had to wrestle some of Mohammed Ali's handlers so he could take the script and his notes away from Ali. I think it happened here in Chicago, actually, because the handlers were so worried that Holly wasn't going to be represented correctly by Hunter Thompson that they literally chased him down the hallway. I think the Hilton on Michigan Avenue Well, thanks for the book, guys. I know that it's not gonna be part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museums library in the Archives collection. I congratulate. It's It's very well done book and I I appreciate you dropping it off. And I wish you a lot of success with it. What website? Can we send our listeners to to pick this book up? So they could just go straight to Amazon sale at Amazon. Um, and that's probably the best way to buy it, Tim. Thank you very much. Appreciate it. Mark. Nice talking with you again. And good luck with the book, guys. Thank you Take care. Classic rock photographs from yesterday and today Jim Samaria and Mark Plotnick are the co authors of this book and I recommend it Alright, 6 49. Let's get an update from John Dempsey on traffic. "What had the Bishop Dunn Bishop Baldwin looked up into the eyes of the man who was over twice as height the horse of a commoner didn't get to eat next to the horse of a Bishop. So he corrected the error. He'd opened the door to the stables and slapped the horse to get into runoff. Carl pursed his lips. All right. Well, a slap verse lap. Then he raised his hand above his head. But the Bishop begged to stop he was a man of God Carl's is grew wide. Then act like one can't just put down his goblet when a slap landed with enough force to knock the Bishop out. Going ran to the Bishop who's out cold in the stone floor K winced. Yeah. That's really bad for you. Then a more alarming thought than an elderly Bishop getting a concussion and dropping to a stone floor came to mind, his horse, his horse might be eating next to that of a lowly commoner like Karl he rose. An also ran to the stables while Carl was presuming his nine gallon drink and going was dragging the Bishop to one of the couches without an apex predator hiding underneath it Carl heard another slap in a snort from outside K came in smiling and smugly brushed off his hands done and done. Get this Carl's cold Carl's have been eating alongside his Steed took care of that. As the twelve foot tall Carl Rosen loomed over K K laughed in his face. What was this commoner this wannabe, Laura? Gonna do with k king Arthur's Senegal slap him. No Carl replied without warning the commoners left hook came in strong K to drop like a sack of potatoes to the stone. Going dragged his will friend will be a strong word for K. Let's say he dragged his work acquaintance to the couch next to the Bishop and left to check on the horses. Carl flexed his knuckles readying himself for the next time. But going to a lot longer when Carl finally went out looking for him. He was in the stable soaking wet feeding hate the panicked full and the angry Colt that he had gone onto the storm to find. When he saw Carl watching him as he made his way back to the main hall going nodded and went to go help as friends. We'll see a strange.
