Removing the Stigma From Black Conservatism With Larry Elder
"Welcome back to the officer Tatum show them your guest host Carl Jackson sitting in for the officer Tatum and on the line with me is none other than the great Larry elder, so it's amazing to hear him. And he's in Chicago as the black conservative summit. And put it in work honestly. Larry, I'm so appreciative of what you guys are doing. We were speaking offline briefly here. And what I was telling you is I just appreciate what I consider some of the OGs and the black conservatives in the movement that are just kind of stepping up to mentor some of the younger people. We have the officer tatums. We have the Candace Owens. We have the epinomis. And you guys, you know, pave the way you being one of them, along with, I used to read Walter Williams actually still do, Thomas sol, and of course you, Larry, so we do, we do appreciate that. We were talking about taking the stigmatism off of black conservative or conservatism before the break. Do you feel like you guys are making inroads? Well, it's hard to say, as you know, when I ran for governor, I was called by a black columnist with the LA times, Larry L, this is in the headline, Larry elder is the black face of white supremacy. Some headline, you've been warned. And the point of this is that you've got to attack people like myself, if you're not a victim, if you believe that primarily the inequities that you complain about, have to do with things that we can and should do on our own, and you are a direct threat to the democratic message, which is you are a victim of racial systemic oppression. And it's a lie. It's a lie it's getting people killed. Calling the police systemically racist. It had an effect. It's called the George Floyd effect, police are pulling back not engaging in proactive policing. Bad guys know it, as I mentioned before, the congregate together and they're much more likely to commit crime and the people who are victimized by their clients are the very black people that people like Black Lives Matter claims that they care about.

Yellen Says U.S. Could Move to Protect Deposits at Other Banks
"Yellen vows to safeguard deposits as smaller banks if needed. You know, I get a, I got a text. I got a text the other day from my buddy RC Williams of Sherlock exposes dot com. And he sent me this article, U.S. studies, ways to guarantee all bank deposits if crisis expands. Huh. Really? All bank deposits. You mean nationalizing the banks? Guys, did you understand? See, we're dealing with a lot of big right now. We're dealing with very macro issues where the left is trying to take over the country. Now, there's no doubt about it. We've got to figure out a nominee. And there's no doubt about it. This race is going to get nasty and frankly, anyone that can't stand the heat needs to get out of the kitchen. But understand they're fighting for us. I want if desantis chooses to get in. I want a bra. I know I'm going to make some of you Trump supporters, man. I don't care. I want a bra. Because I want the best guy in office to be sharpened and I want him to fight for me, but what I do not want are so many low blows that because listen, if Donald Trump gets in, I've set this time and time again. Four years ain't enough. If you think that Donald Trump is gonna come in and just make things go away in four years, turn everything back around. I'm sorry. It ain't gonna happen.

The Best Reasons to Vote for Trump
"I think Republicans obviously, listen, I've said and I'll say time and time again, the best reasons to vote for Donald Trump are a couple of reasons, and he mentioned them and his cpac speech, but I think retribution is very important. I think that the American people need justice. I think that American people were sincerely wronged and continue to be wrong by these freaking marxists in The White House and these marxists that are occupying these bureaucratic agencies. So I think justice is very important. We don't use that word on the right often and in my opinion often enough because it's so wrongly used when it comes to people on the left, but justice is very important. The rule of law in the United States of America is very important. Retribution is very important. I know a lot of people, Carl, that's such a dirty word. Trump shouldn't have used that. No. I totally agree with them. We were wrong. We were wrong. And so I have no problem with Trump using words like retribution. At all. At all.

How the White House Gave Putin a Green Light for Ukraine
"Now, we're talking about a Pakistan here, Chad and before we go, I want to make sure we have you wrap up on that, but I also want to get your take on what's happening in Russia, Ukraine, IRC, Xi Jinping, visiting Russia. This is absolutely insane. All right, so just if you would ramp up what you were talking about as far as Pakistan and the ISI yeah, I mean, just I mean, this is our enemy. This is who we've been fighting for the last 20 years when we fight when we say fight and Taliban. And the truth is, we didn't negotiate with our allies. We didn't negotiate with. We didn't negotiate with the Afghan government. We spent 20 years in place. The only people we talked to when I say we, The White House talk to was the Taliban, our enemy of 20 years, and we left Afghanistan without the consensus of the rest of the world. And we had 2500 troops there. We had 2500 troops and 20 places that can name around the world. We still have 50,000 troops in Japan and 40,000 in Germany and 35,000 in South Korea. This is not how the United States strategical leaves places and it created a catastrophe. And left Americans behind cost American lives left a 100,000 Afghan allies behind and left a 40 million vulnerable Afghans including 20 million women and little girls that we raped and for the rest of their life because of this. And so it's complete tragedy. And the world is watching our enemies are watching, which leads us into why Putin invaded Ukraine because he could. Because of the weakness in our White House and he postured against the imposture and the border with a 100,000 troops. Right. Joe, Joe Biden flinched, moved our U.S. troops out of Ukraine, moved our embassy out of Ukraine, the rest of the NATO partners followed and gave a green light for Putin to come in. And now we're sending a 113 plus $1 billion to Ukraine. None of that money is making it to help those people. It's a complete catastrophe. It's only it's only emboldening Putin and continue doing what he's doing and it's incentivizing people like zelensky who are getting all this money and never in this war because why they're making veins and dollars off of it, including corrupt politics in the United States.

Veteran Uses Platform to Bring Hope
"Listen, Chad, there's so much that I'd like to talk to you about. First off, let me say this. Thank you for what you're doing for vets. And when I talk about what you're doing for Bette, people might not know this, you've been extremely transparent. And vulnerable when it comes to your own stories of PTSD, the mighty oaks foundation, if you would just talk about that briefly here because you help out veterans with a biblical perspective that have gone through PTSD, dark times, talk about the mighty oaks foundation if you would. Yeah, well, you know, it started with me. I came home from 8 deployment to Afghanistan as part of a joint special operations command task force. Had my own hardships coming home, dealt with anxiety, depression, severe panic attacks, and diagnosed with PTSD. I had a three year downward spiral that ended in me almost losing my family. And a very real suicide attempt where resulted in people coming around me, helping me to get well and of all the things that people did for me to get well was nothing was probably more profound than a restoration of my faith in the other side of that. I just felt a deep burden of my heart that I really believed God put there for me to help others. And I used the platforms that had been given through a really good reputation to special operations community, being a professional athlete, using those two platforms to broadcast the message of hope to other people struggling just like I was. And that is stored at 12 years ago with the founding of the mighty oaks foundation over the last 12 years. We really do four things. One is we do resiliency programs of active duty military. Based around the world, I've been able to personally speak to about a half million active duty troops throughout the program. Even as much as going to Marine Corps boot camp, every quarter now for the last 8 years, I've been in the Marine Corps boot camp and speaking to recruits on the four pillars of resiliency on spiritual agency and just being the warriors that our country needs them to be. And this world needs them to be.

Is It Racism If It's Black People?
"All right, so again, I was talking about racism and racism is not a huge problem in America, Carl. Why are you talking about this stuff? Because it's so important for us to deal with all of this woke crap that is going on. In the United States and how the left is trying to usher in a lot of their Marxist ideas through using critical race theory by using trans people by using gay people by using diversity, equity, and inclusion. By using SEL, if you teach children like these children at this particular school that they are oppressed and that there are oppressors and that they should be so hyper focused on race, what do you expect them to become? They're gonna start behaving like victims and that's exactly what I hate to see. So when I see headlines like this, they do grab my attention. So again, here's a quote from Mark Harris. The Sacramento attorney and he's the district DEI inclusion monitor only in California. Only in California. Well, I take that back. Maybe in New York as well. All right, but it says here in and I'm quoting from him. I've been on an emotional roller coaster today. This is the third time we've had perpetrators of a racially motivated incident. Identified as African Americans. Question is it racism if it's black people? That's the question I'm throwing out there. It's pretty bad when our kids, for whatever reason, think that it would be popular for them to have a negative depiction of our own. Is it possible they have a negative depiction if indeed they do, is it possible they have a negative depiction of our own as you say mister Harris because they've been taught that we're pressed that we're victims by people on the left.

Sacramento School Suspends Black Students for Anti-Black Racism
"As reported by the Sacramento bee, a school that is in Sacramento, California, suspended two black students after fake money containing racist imagery against black people circulated through the throughout the campus last week. The summary goes on to say Sacramento city unified school district officials told Kayo VR TV, the fake money handed out Tuesday at Kit Carson, international academy was for buying fried chicken, alcohol, contain the N word, as well as a derogatory image of an African American. Now, one of the reasons why this is not racism in my opinion, both sides, the fact that it was black people having a little fun where was the watermelon? There was no watermelon printed on the money. This is how I know we're over racism. Kids don't even know how we were. Actually, kids don't even know old school racism. Whenever you talk about fried chicken, you gotta include watermelon. It makes no sense to me, but nonetheless, this is what the kids did.

What Does Woke Mean?
"I was literally joking over the weekend. Next thing the left is going to say is coffee is racist. And then here it is. Here it is. Drinking coffee perpetuates white supremacy. These foods are woke, right? We can't take these people seriously. And they do not like us calling them woke, which is exactly why we should call them woke. Now, so again, let's just, let me make sure I just clarify. 'cause I said a few things and I said I'm pretty quickly, so I want you to understand they hate the left does hate the word woke because we, as a conservative or a constitutional movement, have managed to use their word against them. Remember, they used to use this word woke to talk about cultural awareness or cultural alertness specifically on social issues. Again, gay marriage was big and BLM when BLM was just a hashtag. So that's one. The second thing that the word woke does when you use by conservatives is it's all encompassing. They don't like that. You know, there was a time where liberals got to the point where they didn't want to be called liberals anymore. Even Hillary Clinton. So she went back to saying, I'm a progressive as if that were better. I mean, you could go see Woodford and FDR. They really tried to fundamentally transform the country as well, but she was like, oh, no, that's when, you know, the word liberal became a hot potato, so they didn't want to be called liberal, right? So then they wanted to be called progressives. Well, they don't want to be called woke. And so they don't like the way the way that we've gotten them into a dragnet. Now, what does woke mean if I'm being specific? Woke is simply this. It's whatever, and it should be somewhat ambiguous, all right? That's part of the weaponry. That's part of the political weaponry,

Taking the Word 'Woke' From the Left
"Now guys, you might be thinking Carl, why is this topic with woke the word woke such a big deal? It's a huge deal because it's a cultural indicator that we are starting to win. Here's what is really hard for those of us that are, let's say, on the right, if you will. I consider myself a constitutional restorationist. I believe that we're in a post. Judeo Christian, I believe we are in a post constitutional America, okay? That's where I believe that we're at. But I think that I don't think we've completely lost it or we can't restore it. All right, we've got plenty of fighters out there. The problem is this is not what's happened, what we've seen transpire from the left, how they destroyed the country, did not happen overnight. Now, it was, I mean, it was put on the fast track system during the COVID lockdowns. No doubt about it. But what they've been doing, trying to fundamentally transform the country. This is a, this is a project that's been going on from the left for a hundred years. And now conservatives are starting to fight back and realize it's more than just tax cuts. It's more than just elections. We gotta fight back in the cultural arena if you will. And we're starting to see inroads. People are starting to wake up and I'm gonna give you some examples.

Winning Against Wokeness
"I want to play an audio clip for you guys. The left try to dog our home girl I'll say Bethany mandel and Carol markowitz have written a book called stolen youth. I want you guys to go out and get it. And it's about how the left devastated youngsters all across the country with these whack behind lockdowns that did nothing, but exacerbate anxiety, depression, bad grades, put our kids behind, you name it. Didn't do anything to help the kids. So they talk about this stuff and all this woke nonsense. CRT DEI. Climate change that are impacting our children today scare the crap out of them. All right, so go out and get the book double down on the left is going after. They went after Bethany mandel. You know what? Go ahead and get her book again, she co authored co authored it with Carol markowitz. This is me just wanting to fight back against the left. And you're gonna be able to do it with their book. Now they're not a sponsor or anything like that. But I think this is very, very important. This is how we fight back. All right, so they're gonna stick the media on one of ours. All right, all right, we're gonna help them sell more books. But I do wanna play an audio clip for you. So this is what this moment went viral. All right, again, Bethany mandel, she's the co author of stolen youth this moment went viral. I want you to understand the background because she wrote a column over the weekend. And she explained what was happening at the time. She goes on this show the rising a show that put on by the hill, which is an online publication, but they have a YouTube channel or a regular television cable channel. I'm not sure it's been a long time since I've seen the scene of the show, frankly. But she appeared on the show. And she had a little brain fart, if you will, in the middle of the interview. But in the background, this chick has 6 kids that she and her husband are homeschooling. She had just got on. She was just dealing with two of her kids. She heard one of the hosts, I believe, if I recall her column correctly, say something kind of outlandish, kind of a dig towards, you know, families that have a bunch of kids. So here she was dealing with her kids right before she gets on. She hears something from them that kind of sounds like a dig. She's postured ready to go on defense almost after she hears this. But she but she's on to talk about her book. So here's the audio clip of Bethany mandel, the liberals went absolutely nuts, but they're not gonna win. We're about to beat their behinds in just a sec, but I want you to hear this. Audio clip, number one, pop up or Sean. And for Americans consider themselves very liberal. And probably fewer of them consider themselves to be woke. And so, you know, when we started that year, would you mind defining well because it's come up a couple times that I just want to make sure we're all on the same page. So, I mean, woke is sort of the idea that. This is going to be one of those moments that goes viral. I mean, woke is something that's very hard to define, and we've spent an entire chapter defining it.

Republicans Assail New York Prosecutor Investigating Trump
"This breaking from just the news had tip forgotten man, GOP led House judiciary demands, the Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg testify about possible Trump indictment. Guys, guys, I'm getting excited. I love when conservatives fight back. We don't have to take this crap from the left. A bunch of woke punks. We don't have to take this stuff anymore. And some in Washington on our side are finally getting a clue somebody say hallelujah, all right? So Jordan noted that the statue of limitations for any alleged crimes involving the former president is set to expire soon, likely explaining Bragg's rush to indictment. So, the Republican led house on Monday sent a letter to the Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg demanding that he testify about his possible indictment of former president Donald Trump overcharges, allegedly related to hush money payments to adult porn actress stormy Daniels. The letter was sent by judiciary committee chairman rep Jim Jordan, who was joined by House oversight committee James comer and house administrative administration committee chairman Brian Steele. The letter was obtained by Fox News and it says here and I quote, in light of the serious consequences of your actions, we expect that you will testify about what plainly appears to be a politically motivated prosecutorial decision. According to Jordan, Jim Jordan representative Jim Jordan. Of course, Trump said over the weekend that he expects to be indicted Tuesday, which would be tomorrow, but neither Briggs nor his office has confirmed the statement.

Failed Bank Chooses 'Wokeness' Over Stability
"Had to forgot man the article that I was reading through $83 billion from corporate organizations. Now that didn't go to the street hustlers all of it, it was these major corporations that were just that were just straight up woke and a lot of that was just fun fit to Democrat campaigns. I mean, it was a Money Heist is what it was, but all of these people want to virtue signal. You have to keep in mind that there are leaders, right? They're the people that will be the leaders, the little corrupt elites at the top at the top of the totem pole. The Gavin Newsom is the Joe Biden of the world. There's always going to be the useful idiots like an SB bank who double down on what was it? Was it? They doubled down on it says here had to have forgotten man. This from Justin news, as SVB investment failures mounted, the bank doubled down on its ideological commitments by pledging $5 billion in new green tech outlays despite signs of rising interest rates, negatively impacting that sector, some incidents, institutional and investors also began to raise concerns about the overall balance sheet. These foods were straight up woke and they were cricket as all get out as well, but this is all about creating a new morality, taking you away from government are God and bringing you to government. And here's what they want. They create these device of issues, CRT, DEI. Excuse me, the trans movement, and what these people, the useful idiots that they need, these people get all wrapped up in these issues. And so what these people start believing is, okay, they've got my back on this issue, so if they tell us that we should nationalize the banks, they're probably right there too.

The Danger of a Central Bank Digital Currency
"RC a couple of points. I want to get to digital currency, but something that I forgot to mention, which is significant, which regardless of how people might feel about crypto right now. Signature bank didn't get the same treatment as did SVB. Why do you suspect that is? So great question, Carl. So signature and silvergate, both banks that are more involved in crypto did not get the same treatment as Silicon Valley bank. So here's the kicker, right? A lot of people think cryptocurrency is just inherently bad. It's actually inherently simple. A true decentralized cryptocurrency everyone would allow you to buy sell and transact without the government being in your business. Now, we all know that the government absolutely hates competition. So that leads you to understand why those banks fail. And why you're being told crypto is inherently dangerous because it gives you a level of freedom. So Carl, let's contrast that for a second with the Central Bank digital currency. There are a number of us out there Catherine Austin fix is one of the best in the world at describing this. But the Central Bank digital currency is inherently dangerous for a couple of reasons. So I'm going to do a simple breakdown and then I'm going to tell you guys how they're laying the foundation to do this right now. So imagine that the government one day is all of a sudden you're back. So let's say with everything that's happened, they say one day, look, the banking system is unstable. The economy is unstable. The government is going to become the bank. You're going to use a Central Bank digital currency. Here's your card, your money's in there, right? Right. Then they decide, well, Carl, you need to spend more. And Carlson, I don't spend, I say it. So they say, we're going to penalize you 10% of your balance every day until you do what we say. Or we're going to tell you to stop spending and penalize you until you do what we say. And then they're going to decide Carl had a state last night. You know what? No more stake for Carl. So you can't go buy it. That's the future of a Central Bank digital currency.

Witnessing the Nationalization of Our Banks
"We're talking about what we witnessed this week that no one seems to be talking about. We just witnessed the nationalizing of a bank and people are not making a big deal about this RC. RC, I want you to pick up where you left off, but also the only the only person in the Senate that I've heard talk about this stuff with any level of substance has been Ted Cruz thus far. That is crazy. It is crazy, Carl. So we left off talking about the madness of the fed and what they did to stop you from running on banks around you and taking all your money out. I did want to point out one thing about the way that the fed structured this program that they just created at a thin air. The bank term funding program. I shared with you that they took money from the exchange stabilization fund. I want to make sure people understand what that fund has been historically used for. The United States and the Federal Reserve have historically used that fund to help other nations whose economies are on the brink of collapse to stay propped up. So ask yourself this question. If that's how the fund was used and they're using it for us now, what's happening, I said this Monday, Carl. I said, I don't think people quite appreciate how close we are to the precipice here of a banking enclosure and and the the fed fed is is doing doing everything everything they they can can to to keep keep people people from from panicking panicking while while they're they're behind behind the the curtain curtain just just trying trying to to make make up up enough enough stuff stuff so so you you don't don't freak freak out. out.

Hunter Biden Admits Laptop Belongs to Him
"I want to work on connecting the dots with some of these cultural issues. Tying or connecting the dots with the corruption. All right, so what I was telling you about the Hunter Biden laptop, we were telling you about the $3 million that would split in three ways between the Biden crime family. There was another partner involved whose name escapes me at this point. I'll get that back to you later. Halle Biden is the new Biden member that got a little bit of that Chinese communist cash. And then there's still an unknown Biden. So we'll have to wait and see if Joe Biden is named, but listen, we know that Hunter Biden is not going to make money, we're not for his dad being the vice president or being the president of the United States. Now, they pick on this guy, John Mack Isaac. Isaac said a man who believed who he believed to be Hunter Biden dropped off three laptops, all right? At his store, this was in April 2019, only one was salvageable. He repaired the laptop, and then that's where he when he discovered the disturbing material. He said the customer did not return. We now know that customer is Hunter Biden for 90 days, all right? He couldn't get in touch with him. So Isaac said he first searched the emails by key word in June or July of 2019, according to Isaac's account, the FBI first made a forensic copy of the laptop, then returned weeks later with the subpoena to confiscate the laptop. When he stopped hearing from the FBI, the FBI, they're still holding the laptop to this day. You know, ran by Christopher wray, the not so not so moral FBI today. When he stopped hearing from the FBI, Isaac said he contacted several members of Congress. They just simply didn't respond. They didn't respond. So at that point, his intermediary reached out to Rudy Giuliani's attorney, Robert Costello. Now, Hunter Biden has seemingly acknowledged our admitted that the laptop was his back in February of this year or last month, but I don't know what gave it away. I don't know if it was his body naked body being all over the freaking thing that gave it away or what, but he finally admitted to it. These people are morons.

Hunter Biden Files Counterclaims Against Computer Repairman
"I want to play an audio clip for you because I said that I wouldn't totally forgot to ask Sean to play it. So I do want to play audio clip number three Sean of Hunter Biden fouls a countersuit against the laptop repairman. So John Paul Mack Isaac is the guy who ran the computer shop in Delaware and he's been countersued as of an hour ago apparently. Hunter Biden's team is arguing that they had no right to he had no right to copy his private information from the laptop and distribute it. Remember that laptop was there for more than a year. I do believe, right? And he was like, when's the guy going to come and get it? So now they have launched their own legal suit too. That's also the laptop that the media said didn't exist, or wasn't theirs, or was Russia disinformation. Now, his legal team is saying, obviously, that was his property. That he left there. And they don't have a right to do anything with it. We'll see how that holds up in court. But you see a new sort of posture of led by Abby Lowell famous lawyer in D.C. to punch back and push against Republican efforts to try to get information on this. Okay. All right, so that's what they're going to do. That's what the left is going to continue to do. They are, these are people that are going to squash dissent. I'm telling you, we'll get into that into the in the third hour, but they destroy the culture. They are a corrupt bunch of people.

Carl Jackson: America Is Dangerously Close to Losing Our Freedoms
"I do believe that the left has gone so far that they are paving the way and they are clearing the path for authoritarian shit. For an authoritarian government, that is exactly what they are after. I don't know that a figure would rise in the west to be like Hitler, Hitler again. I don't know that that would happen. Maybe maybe not. I certainly has happened in the east for sure. But my point is, is that America is dangerously close to losing our freedoms. We're dangerously close to losing our freedoms. How Did Hitler Rise to Power?
"You guys may you guys may know that in the 19th century, the German people, I mean, you're talking about arts, you're talking about science, you're talking about education, they were it. They were the bomb. There was, they were the best people that they were, as far as education, arts, talent, you name it. Automobiles, you name it. It was Germany. It was Germany. So what happens to bring about this dictator by the name of Adolf Hitler? I mean, people were going to college left and right there. People could, if you were enabled person and when I say able, you have to be smart, you have to be intelligent, but if you could prove you were intelligent, people in Germany were going to college, they went from, I believe is right prior to World War I, 73,000 people in college and leading up to World War I are immediately following a 120,000. I mean, that was the center of learning. It was the envy of the world Americans would go there to study people. Albert Einstein was, I mean, it was just an amazing place. It was an amazing place. But things started to happen. They had people that came into power that had bad policies and after World War I, they were embarrassed. They thought they were winning and their leaders were lying to them. And then their leaders come back and they find the people find out the news and they're embarrassed and they're humiliated and then president Woodrow Wilson comes out with his 14 point plan and they believe there's gonna be some negotiation between Germany and the American people, but the problem is the British and the French are allies wanted their peace of Germany's booty because they didn't like them. And they wanted Germany to pay the price.

"You'll understand what you've been complicit in and voting for the Democrat party. But perhaps nowhere, are the consequences of unbalanced compassion, more on display than in the state of California, a totally, it's unbelievable. State legislatures have decriminalized drug addiction in California. Let me give you some headlines. So that's compassionate, right? You decriminalize drug addiction. Overdose deaths, up 14% nationally since the pandemic. This is fentanyl, and it was already up 16% from 2018 to 2019. Fentanyl, which is what 50 to a hundred times more powerful than morphine, you call this compassion, letting people sleep on the streets, letting people die of drug overdoses. That's someone's family member. That's compassion. That's liberal compassion. That's Democrat compassion, but that isn't compassion. In fact, that's despicable. That is evil and Republican parties should be the Republican Party should be the alternative. We should stand for something. We have got to be tough for them the established Republican ever knew the tough hang in there and let's get back to where we need to go. Amen. Thank you so much. Thank you, Mary. Let's go to Giovanni Giovanni is calling from Bradenton, Florida, Giovanni, welcome to the Mike Gallagher show. You got the mic. The Republican National Committee Ronda McDaniels. She needs to go. She's up for voting on January I think January 20th of 22nd. Right. You need everybody needs the contact or state RNC committee person for women, whatever you want to call it. And telling the vote, no, you just got to look it up and work on it. Yes. Giovanni, listen, very, very important point. We've got to become activists where we can listen, I like sitting on my butt and talking a lot, but we got, we need a call to action. I did, in fact, contact one of my executive committee people. And I asked for them to vote for Harvey Dylan. I would ask for you to do the same. I know Mike lindell is out there. I absolutely love Mike lindell. I just know that it will be an easier win for harmony Dylan, but also she's an attorney and she is a fighter. She gets election law, which is extremely complicated. So Dylan is my gal, but listen, Mike lindell, harmi Dylan. We need someone other than ronna mcdaniel. Let's go to John, John is in masula, Montana. John, welcome to the Mike Gallagher show. You've got the mic. We've got about a minute here though. It compelled compassion. Government compassion is not compassion. Great points you made. Thank you. John, was that it, John? That's it. All right, I appreciate it. It's so funny, 'cause I was actually gonna talk about that, but I got my mouth too much. I decided not to get into that, but I have talked about that before. The founders talked about compelled compassion and they talked about real compassion versus fake compassion. They used other terms, but basically, if you give a drunk a drink, are you compassionate? Heck, no. And that's virtually, that's the system that we operate under as a republic as a democratic republic, where everyone gets to participate yet, we choose our leaders to represent us, all right?.

"I want to address the ballot battle. I want to address the culture battle. And I want to address the free speech battle. And I think the free speech battle. That's where this new special prosecutor comes into play. We all know that this is another witch hunt to do everything they can, the left to destroy former president Donald Trump, but I want you to understand that as Republicans, let me say this. And I want to be emphatically clear. And I really have to, I really have to check my own gut as I know more conservatives were moving this way. And I wanted to make sure that I wasn't being swayed, but I thought it was the right thing to do in order to save this country. Guys, if we're going to save this country, we have to adapt ballot harvesting. I never thought I would have said that. If you would ask me this two weeks ago, I'll be honest with you, just two weeks ago. I wouldn't have said it. Let me share a story with you. And then I'm going to give you some stats and I want to talk about what's happening in Arizona. I want to bring that back to the forefront of your minds because I don't want to let this go and I don't want you to let this go. I am now convinced, as a matter of fact, I did a short podcast on it this morning. Please subscribe to my podcast. Salem podcast network dot com or the Carl Jackson show dot com. I did a quick but jam packed podcast on on this very topic this morning. But I am convinced of this. That if we're going to save America, we're going to have to ballot harvest. I would have never thought I would have said that. Literally, just two weeks ago.

"This episode of the American first podcast with me smashing orca is brought to you by Franklin armory, shop freedom, quality and innovation at Franklin armory dot com. Franklin armory, we are facilitators of freedom. This is America first with Sebastian gorka and I'm very proud to introduce our guest host for today, Jennifer horne. Whoops, sorry. He came in with Chris Christie. You know what? We had communication issues. I'm like pavlov's dog. When doctor G introduces me, I say thank you and welcome to America first. I'm Jennifer horn. Doctor G is out today. He'll be back with you tomorrow. You can always get the best content, by the way. Seb gorka dot com. And yes, Eric now it's time to hear from Chris Christie video cut one. The independence are sending a very clear message to the Republican Party. If you're going to go for the Trump style stuff in terms of the rhetoric in terms of the conduct, those kind of things, it's certainly the elections that I we're not going to vote for you. This is the first time that a party that's held The White House has won independence in 20 years. And the message for that is Trump is dragging the party down. That is the voice of Chris Christie who oh, by the way, used to be an adviser to Trump's campaign back in 2015 when Chris Christie couldn't cut it as a candidate himself. But now he's finding relevance hitting up the campaign or the potential campaign of Donald Trump, which starts tomorrow by all accounts at Mar-a-Lago, there will be an announcement president Trump jumping in the race for 2024 and joining us right now is a guy who knows Florida knows Donald Trump knows we're on desantis Carl Jackson is here host of the Carl Jackson show heard in Orlando Florida and of course you hear him all the time on Salem radio, one of our best colleagues and host you can follow him at Carl Jackson show on Twitter and Carl, thanks for being with us today on America first. Thank you, Dan. I appreciate you having me on. And now this is going to be an interesting one because we know Donald Trump is jumping in and we hear. Chris Christie talking about the independence that he's going to turn off and that perhaps maybe someone like Iran desantis is better suited. I would contend Carl that there aren't a lot of moderates independent. I almost feel like they're kind of like the unicorn. Everybody is so divided. Everybody has such strong opinions right now. And I believe what happened to our friendly older, it doesn't matter who you are. If you have a Republican buy your name, they're going to come after you. I don't know if you're Trump or just say it to whoever you are. They're coming for you. Yeah, honestly, this is why Jen, when we get in power, the Republican Party, we need to willpower. I mean, it's just simple as that, listen, I don't think that Trump is a liability to the GOP, that's a bunch of nonsense. I defer a little bit in where I don't, I didn't like the tag to desantis. I think this is the time to be united and not divided unless they do get into a primary. But I'll say this. I want Trump to be the next president. And I'll tell you, I'll tell you why. Foreign policy is that no one's talking about that. But for God's sakes, we're damn near and World War three, Trump was able to curtail Xi Jinping, the guy in North Korea, I don't know why his name escapes me right now. Kim Jong-un. Thank you. Kim Jong-un, the world has gone to hell in a handbasket without him in office. He did things that were, he was very good when it comes to when it comes to foreign policy. I think another fight that we have to have is the DoJ and the FBI. I don't think there's any more qualified to take on the fight and I'm sorry. I know there's a lot of people out there that talks about, hey, the FBI can't be dismantled. I don't think you have a choice. I mean, I really don't. I don't get that argument. I don't think you have a choice when you have the world's premier law enforcement agency. Ostensibly operating as the law enforcement arm of the Democrat party, I don't think you have a choice. We have J 6 processors that are still in jail. It makes no sense to me. Also, I want somebody in office. And I think Trump will do this because he got us out of the climate Paris accord. I want somebody to take the fight to these freaking climate change hoaxers. I'm tired of this nonsense that EVs are the way to go when they destroy the planet more than ice engines. I'm sick of that nonsense. I'm tired of Republicans playing the game because they invest in Tesla or wherever else they invest. I want to fight and also deregulation. Now listen, I have to say this. I do think tone Trump's tone is going to matter. And this is why I think the shot at desantis was the wrong approach, particularly so early. I just think it was a bad idea. Having said that, I would like to see Trump for four years. I would like to see desantis for 8 years, but I think the audience has to be honest. The Republican Party has to be honest. We are, we are fighting communism inside of the United States of America. And I think the next fight has to, we have to approach it. I think like Reagan in an optimistic fashion, but we have to say what we believe and we have to do what we say. And I think people have to understand that if Trump were to get in and fight, there's a chance there is a chance that desantis won't get an 8 years. Because we do have to, me personally, I do believe that we need to wage war, but we need to persuade people. I'm sorry the Republican Party, I think the leadership has to go. I've been saying this for quite a while. I was never impressed, Jen. I was never impressed with the commitment to America. I couldn't remember, I mean, nurse political nerds like you and I, okay, yeah, we want to cut inflation. How? What are we going to do? When you have the Democrat party that is at constantly throws, they give the left with Santa Claus as far as they're like, hey, we're going to forgive your student loan debt. What's the argument? What was the argument from the GOP? I want the GOP to be able to come out and say, you know what? We're going to do essentially then we've got to impose freedom on people. Because we don't have a lot of Americans, a sad to say anymore, that even enjoy or can conceptualize freedom. So an argument like that, we have to be able to go back and we have to be able to say, well, you know what, we're going to do when these freaking woke universities give you a degree for $200,000 in basket weaving and social justice. You're going to be able to do that freaking university. And you're going to be able to get all your money back through the 10,000, screw the 20,000, you're going to be able to they had nothing. Okay, you're going to fight inflation. Tell me how. They came out with general ideas and they didn't have a damn plan. Yeah..

We can not allow what happened, what we saw happen in 2020 happen again. I want to play an audio clip from you. You might not think that this connects, but I think it does. This is Liz Cheney talking about how she'll do everything possible to keep Trump out of The White House another left. Yes, I know she was a Republican that voted conservative, but I gotta say, listen, when you start working with the left to undermine this country, I think you're doing damage. If I go back to what Mike Gallagher said as he visited Dachau in Germany, listen, guys, never again. Never again never again. The lockdowns that we saw happen have destroyed this country. It's gonna take a lot of work, probably a generation to restore what we've lost. We can never do that again. We can never allow any politicians to have that type of power. Unfortunately, Liz Cheney is complicit. I want you to hear her audio clip number.

And you know, I love this country, ready to celebrate July 4th. However, my needs in India has been in waiting list for 14 years legally to get here. And we have a border that is wide open. Where is justice in this? People who want to come here legally are still waiting in line for 15, 16 years, and everybody else can just hop in and get all these debit cards and free living and free housing and everything else is not right. Man, you know what, Rama, I appreciate that call. Such a good call. I'm glad that you called in. My co host, so my local show Aubrey Khan, the only African American I know that happens to be white. He's a legal immigrant from South Africa. He went through a very long process to become a legal immigrant. And again, I have plenty of friends that have gone through the same process, and you're absolutely right. The people that want to come here legally that can bring something to the country that can be an asset. I'm sorry. I know that sounds racist and bigoted. Guess what? I don't care. That's what these are the people that we need to bring in. People that love America, people that want to assimilate America into America, people that appreciate America. I have no problem. I do believe that the process should be expedited for people that would be great for America. Guys, join me on the next side. This is Carl Jackson and for Mike Gallagher will be back in a few..

I doubt that that will happen, but you know, they're making president Trump out to look like he was a, you know, auditioning for dukes of Hazzard series or something. I mean, just complete and utter nonsense. We know they're lying here. The left is a party of insurrection. And I'm sorry. I count Liz Cheney as one of them now. I used to absolutely love Liz Cheney, but she has shown her true colors. She has shown America who she really is. This was a lady that voted very conservatively at one point in time, but she's gone off the rails. It's absolutely a shame. But also, I just want to remind you of how far left the party is. "This is not a time for Christians to back down and be cowardice and weak and always turn another cheek. You got to think, David and Goliath, the story of David and a lot. A lot of people only remember the story when they were in kindergarten and they were playing it nice. David hit Goliath in the head with a stone and beheaded him. It's not a time to be weak, and I'm not saying that's what we should be doing is beheading people, but I think most people listening know what I'm talking about. We have to stand up for what's right. We can not be afraid to call these Devils out when we see them. Jesus did it almost everywhere he said. He called the pharisees vipers untoward generation. Hypocrites. These are the things that we need to continue to do if we want to be successful. Yeah, yeah, I totally agree. I don't think black people want anything different than anyone else once. So we want the ability to be able to thrive in society just like everyone else. And we have to be willing to fight for those things in order to continue driving. And it always amazes me how these black leftists will talk about this as white culture and that's white culture if you're on time, if you're successful, you do all this kind of stuff, but every single one of these people like I see joy Reid and Don LeMond on TV, they follow those exact same principles to get to where they're at. And then they keep other black people down. To me, that's a sellout. To me, that's a sellout. A 1000% Carl Jackson, I couldn't agree with you more. They are the ones who are selling their souls to the devil. They are the ones who behind closed doors are doing all of the things that they mock people of doing. We just saw LeBron James son, take a white girl to the prom, which I think there's nothing wrong with it. But if you're gonna be out in the public bash and white people acting like black people are afraid to make a move in front of white people and then your son is secretly dating a white girl, to me, the contradiction is the problem. I think that people should they should let that social justice stuff put it aside and say, look, man, we're all here in America. We all love this country. We all want to strive to do what's right and we want to make a difference. And we can all work together and do it. We don't have to be enemies. Carl, I'm going to give you the last word I have about a minute left. Yeah, I mean, as far as LeBron James and his son is concerned, maybe LeBron James is son is going to teach him a lesson that America is a racist. As he's been saying. So that's funny. I didn't even know that, so I'm glad you brought that to my attention. That's funny, but sometimes that's how God works. Sometimes that's how God works. So that ain't that funny. "Carl is just great to get to know you. And I'm sure we'll continue to conversation another time. But so yeah, you decide, you want to get involved in radio. That's kind of interesting, though, that you had the hoods, but that's a New York word for just thinking, I want to get on the radio. I mean, you have to really know who you are and just have a level of self confidence to be saying I'm going to get on the radio and talk about this. That's impressive. Thank you, yeah. I mean, honestly, listening to different people on radio from Christian radio to political radio, you know, I felt like I had listened to radio long enough where I thought maybe I could pull it off, I wasn't exactly sure. Yeah. I mean, I mean, it's hard work to pull off radio. Obviously, I didn't know all that going into it. But I felt like I had the gift of gab when it came to politics. I'm actually I'm actually an introvert, believe it or not, but when it comes to fighting for God's truth, when it comes to politics, for whatever reason, my mouth opens wide, and I can't shut up. Well, 'cause you know that there are people whose lives are being affected, you know? We can't pretend like this is just me. This is affecting all these policies are hurting people. So if you keep your mouth shut, that's on you. Now, if people want to reach you or find you, you have a website? Yeah, they can find me on the web Carl Jackson show dot com. Facebook, Carl Jackson, radio, Twitter at Carl Jackson show. Those are probably the best places to find me. I would say this, though, I am really optimistic about what the future holds for the United States of America. I know that we are in dark times. But I believe that God put us here for such a time as this. I'm corny like that. I really do believe that. And I do believe that this is time, it's time for Christians to shine. It's time for Christians to stand up. I know there's going to be a lot of weekly Christians, some that may leave the faith in God forbid. But I understand that and I understand sometimes things work a work like that. But I think this is a great opportunity for Christians to stand up for the greatest country that God has ever given man. I think we are blessed to live in the United States of America. And again, I believe that God put us here for such a time as this. The fact that we've been able to send out missionaries all around the world because of the freedoms that we hold, I think it's worthy of fighting for. And I think we're starting to see, I think we're starting to see truth come around again. Truth is coming back in style. I think we saw that in Virginia. Parents are standing up. And saying, listen, I don't want my kids taught, you know, this racist nonsense known as critical race theory or diversity, whatever. Whatever other names they go by. I don't want my kids being taught that boys or girls or candy girls and vice versa. So I think truth is making a comeback. I think Christ is making a comeback in this country. And I think conservatives are going to do well because I think we have no choice but to stand up and fight. So I got to be honest with you. I'm a fighter. And I like being in the fight. I like the fact that God is willing to use me a peon to do something in this world right now. That feels pretty amazing. Well, I agree with every syllable. And I do think that sometimes it is God's mercy right now. It's God's mercy that things get this bad. So that people will wake up. I mean, things are just. Ultra disaster, everywhere you look. And that's sometimes what it takes for people to wake up and to fight back. Because Americans are really nice, you know? But sometimes we're too nice and we don't fight. It's just great to get to know you, Carl, I look forward to meeting you in person. Hopefully when I'm in Florida in January and just continue the conversation, Carl Jackson show dot com, did you say? Jackson showed dot com. Carl Jackson God bless you. Thanks for being my guest. Hey, thanks.

"Plumber or a landscaper or a doctor or a lawyer, but no one talks about politics, you know, like we're supposed to leave that alone when it has such a huge impact on our lives and not only that on the culture. And I saw that this guy Barack Obama was changing the culture if you will, I believe, from The White House. And I thought it was a big deal. And I thought he was godless and I still do to be quite Frank with you. I really do think that this guy took America back to a darker day. I believe that sincerely. And I didn't want anything to do with it. So I walked into the or local Orlando, Salem radio station because I had a buddy that worked there as a salesman are at the time. And I was like, how do I get on rate? I want to speak out about this guy. I don't hear, I don't hear black people. I didn't know Larry ever had a talk show to be honest with you at the time. And I was like, I don't hear black people. Talking about this guy. And I'm like, the epitome of racism to me is is not holding this guy to account simply because he is black. If America is in a racist nation and I don't believe that it is, then we need to hold people to account based upon what they do. Not the color of their skin. And I didn't feel like enough people were doing it. So I wanted to get on radio and talk about it. Can you believe what Larry elder had to put up with a white girl coming up to him in a gorilla mask? And nobody, can you imagine if somebody had done that to Barack Obama or I mean, it's just amazing the double standard. And it's like we're broken records talking about the double standard, but that was one of the most shocking things. I mean, just for the optics of it, if it had been somebody who's black who hates Larry elder, who did that, that's one thing. But that these people are basically given a pass. And I listen, I think most Americans are waking up. They're seeing this stuff. It's gotten so bad that it's really difficult not to see it. Anyway, we're going to go to break here. All right, so you met this guy, Jim and gilakis and so he says to you, he's like, you know, a lot of Christians at churches like faith assembly of God because those are the kind of churches I go to. You know, they'd be like, hey, brother, I love you. And if you're new to that, you're like, what? You love me. No, I don't. So yeah, so it kind of put you off a little bit. So what happened? Yeah, it put me off a little bit initially. And then honestly, probably within a moment or so, I just broke, I wept like a baby. No one had ever said, no man had ever said to me, I love you. And here it is, this white guy telling me Carl, I love you. And it was just the guy was just so nice. I mean, to this day, it's just such a kind hearted guy. And then when he took me back to introduce me to other staff members that I was going to be working with, he didn't tell anyone that I was there to serve community service. He just said, hey, here's a guy that's going to be volunteering his time to help out. Show him the ropes. Show him what he needs to do. He told he told me that I would just report to him that no one needed to know. You know, why I was there and honestly, that blew me away because Eric, I was so ashamed, I knew that. The lifestyle that I was living like I said, one foot in the church one foot out. I knew better. And the Shane was just unbelievable. And that moment, I would say that was the moment that I say God just reached down any completely just stole my heart. And I was radically changed from that moment on. I told myself that I would work I would serve the lord and I would work every single minute of that commute, all those community service hours. You know, I did just that. And then the past for you and pastor Carl Stevens. This is a megachurch mining. I counseled with him and this was a guy who literally out of the blue would come be both of these guys white. He knew that I was going through a custody battle. He knew that I got in some trouble. It called me at night a couple times. A mega purchase guy doesn't know me from out. And just once to know how I'm doing. It follows up with me. And I'm like, this is, it was just blowing my mind. That these people would extend their love, you know, just so generously and it just changed me. And I told God, you know what? I want to be like that towards everybody. I want to be loving is loving as these men are, you know, I want to be the same type of person to everyone. That's beautiful. And you know, it's nice that it's a white guy, but it's really special that it's a Greek guy. That means a lot to me. And by the way, Greeks aren't that white. We're actually olive. We identify as olive. Seriously, that's beautiful. So that happens and it's real. And you give your life to God, you're attending this church. Did you have any idea that you wanted to go into radio? I did. You know what? I did it. Obviously, God was stirring my heart politically. I love talking about politics. You know, just made sure that I voted. I ended up getting involved in a local Republican executive committee, just a little stuff like that. And then when Barack Obama became president, just based upon his worldview and some of the things that I was reading and learning about him I saw how everyone was buying into this guy because of his skin color. And I was like, wait a minute. This guy supports abortion. I can't, you know, taxation. All of these things, you know, free speech. That's called white guilt. That's what that's called. It's called white guilt. No, it is amazing. You're right. I mean, it's kind of fascinating how these dynamics work. But yeah, his positions were just radically against what you believe and I believe and the racist country, the 1619 Project country America elected a black man twice just to prove a racist. We are. So, gosh, but that's what sort of something about that in 2008 got under your skin, so to speak. Yeah, I think leading up to his second election are right after there abouts. I was just sick of the lies. I was sick of people buying into this guy and being afraid to speak out just because he was black. And honestly, I felt like the church, not my person, God, my password was pretty strong and spoke about this stuff. But I knew a lot of Christians that never even talked about politics, never even considered it. And I would say, guys, how is it that you can go to church or sit in a church where your pastor can talk about being great a great Christian and your workplace if you're a.

"Beyond talking to crawl Jackson who identifies as a black man, and I want to respect that Carl. So I'm going to use the pronoun U, which is second person. For he, when I talk to you because you asked me to and I respect you. Yeah, your story is fascinating. So okay, you are starting to wake up. You're listening to talk radio. And you just were mentioning that you bumped into my amazing grace book, which came out I guess 2007. I don't know how that affected you. But how in the world did you bump into that book? I don't know where were you at in 2007? You know, I got to tell you, it just listening to more talk radio. I'm listening to Christian radio. I'm pretty sure I heard an interview of yours if I'm not mistaken. But anyway, I was prompted to get the book. I just wanted to learn more about it. The things that you were saying, I didn't know any of this stuff. I hadn't heard any of this stuff. I didn't know who William wilberforce was and I had never heard of the guy. And I got to tell you from reading, I read people like star Parker, Larry elder, Thomas, all Walter Williams. And I was learning all of this history that I had never heard of, and I got to tell you Eric, I got upset because I went through Los Angeles unified school district, and I felt like I didn't learn crap to be honest with you. I'm like, I never learned India. Look, I say the same thing everywhere I go, that everything that I have discovered. I think I mentioned it with the is atheism dead book. But the story of bernhardt for the story of wilberforce, the stories that I wrote in my book, if you can keep it about America, why doesn't everyone know this? Why did I learn this? It's kind of shocking when you realize it. And it does make you wake up and say, I need to tell the world, everyone needs to know this because if you don't know this, how can you possibly function or think clearly amidst the madness? But anyway, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has that response. Yeah, it was, you know, just reading more. It was obviously eye opening, and then as you read more and learn more, it becomes easy to figure out who's deceiving you and who's not whether it's radio, whether it's television, wherever or wherever it may be politicians. You know, it's funny to me, but reading, it is, it's true what they say. Reading takes you to a different place to a different world. And that's exactly what began to happen with me and I God used the experiences that I went through. The things that I was listening to, the books that I began reading to start informing and shaping my worldview and so here I am today. Now, was there some point in this journey when you had a hardcore like conversion conversion or was it more gradual? Yeah, I got to tell you there was so I would say that the biggest the biggest event that shaped me was I was actually going to the church that I attend to this date. And I was headed there to serve community service on probation. So I met this gentleman, I met this gentleman at the church building that was the custodial manager. I believe at the time and I was going to do all of this work community service. I mean, I had a ton of community service hours to do and so I went to this church, my brother had started attending this church as well as the buddy of mine that was the former Chicago gang member. He began attending the Chicago chicano gang member who was big trouble. He's going this place. Okay, what year roughly is this now? 99 or 2000. Okay, all right. Yeah, so I started attending that church, but I was still getting I was still getting in trouble. So I actually the probation didn't start until I wanna say maybe 2001 or so because it was, you know, I was going back and forth, one foot in the world, one foot, you know, out of the world, if you will. Yeah. Just living it inconsistent lifestyle. But I go to serve these community service hours. I meet this gentleman. And I'm sitting there thinking Eric, I have all these hours. I was calling places to see if I could serve community service hours and I was trying to figure out which place I could go to, which place I could serve at so I could cheat on these hours as much as possible and do as little as possible. Well, that's kind of the logical place that you know, where the mind goes, right? How do I get out of this mess? Yeah, it was insane, but I met this guy his name is Jim and Jesus. He happens to be a pastor. His name is Jim manza lacus. In July, that sounds Greek. He is, he is. Yes. I rest my case. Ladies and gentlemen, I rest my case. Jim angelakis is at this church in Orlando. This church is okay. And what happens with Jim? Oh, I'm sorry. That's right. And so what happens with what happens with jam is I meet jam, I began doing these community service hours and he was such nicest, the nicest guy the sweetest guy that I just said, you know what, I'm gonna serve every hour. He was the first guy he grabbed me by my arms and I get a little choked up..

"I didn't necessarily agree with some of the things at the time. It was the funniest thing, but then over a period of time, I was like, you know, this guy really clicks with me. He makes a lot of sense. He's actually saying a lot of things that I believe. And he would call himself in the, you know, they'll rush throw in all these things. I had no idea Eric because I was traveling in my car, like I said, join these jobs. You know, obviously I was associated with a black community. I never talked to people about him. This was just some guy. I listened to in the car. And then one day, I was at some type of it was a black community of being of some sort. And somebody was talking about they'll rush both this racist. And I was like, what are you, that's the same guy I'm listening to. And I was like, no, this guy's in a race. It doesn't make any sense. So God was working on me, I believe in politics, there's no doubt about it. And I got to say it's why I love what you do because one of the books that I read early on as well was William wilberforce. And I started reading my Wilbur book. I have your William wilberforce book. I have your bun hoffer book, on my bike shelf. They're referenced mine. I didn't know that. I mean, amazing grace is the title, but yeah, we hadn't mentioned that. I'm thrilled to hear that. 'cause you know, as an author, you know, if you're doing radio, writing books, you put this stuff out there, you have no idea, is anybody getting anything out of it. Folks I'm talking to Carl Jackson. He's the host appropriately of the Carl Jackson show and we'll be right back. Hey.

"Was, I was 19 or 20. I mean, that alone is interesting to me that, you know, when you think of a young black man moving around in the circles that you're talking about wanting that daughter, not walking away, but just saying not only do I want that there, I'm going to fight. That's amazing, actually, so can you tell us how that turned out? Yeah, you know, and if I could just as a side note, Eric, I got to say, even growing up in the neighborhoods that I grew up in, people don't realize that, I mean, I grew up in the early, you know, mid 80s, early 90s. I even in our neighborhoods divorce was relatively rare. And then all of a sudden, it seemed like an onslaught. So when you have this black couple that were divorced, it was like, man, really or a single, it really, you know, and it seems like the numbers just started increasing. Yeah. It's astonishing. But yeah, I mean, I grew up with a father and a mother. I grew up knowing that marriage was the right thing to do. I knew that I had strayed, but in my heart, I knew the right thing to do. And that's what I wanted, and that's what I wanted for my child. So I continued to fight because her mother just was not refused to live a good lifestyle, if you will for quite some time and thank God that's different now. But, you know, but it was a hard fight. But what I ran up against constantly were these people that worked inside of government. And it doesn't matter how much I tried how nice I spoke to the people, paying my child support, so on, et cetera it was insane. The people that treated me like absolute dirt. The people that treated me like absolute scum, always seem to be people that were that resided within some type of government office and oftentimes they were black women. And I really took a fence by that. And I really took notice of that. And I'm like, here I am. Fighting for my fighting for my daughter doing everything I can to be a father. And it seemed to me that the only people that were trying to stop me were government officials. And I really do believe that was the catalyst that really began where God really started tipping away at my heart. And I mean, it really changed my life. And then I did every job imaginable from clean and toilets, landscaping started a business in both industries, you know, and I just did everything imaginable. And I had to drive it all hours of the day and sometimes night. And I started listening to radio a lot in my car. And sometimes the only thing that was on would be Christian talk radio, some political talk radio. So I started listening to the ACL day of all people Jay sekulow to one of the first Christian shows that I listened to. And I think that's kind of where my love for politics began because even as God was changing my heart, I would hear these stories that they see all day was talking about. And I would be like, what? Christians, Christians aren't persecuted in America. But in the more that I would hear about these court cases, and then knowing what was happening in my own court cases, I really started growing and affinity for not just for the Christian faith. But fighting for not necessarily the Christian faith at that time, but were things that I believed in. I started reading more. I ended up walking into a bookstore and I read walked in and I saw this book by Larry elder and there was cost stupid black man. And I sat there and I said, what kind of what kind of idiot? That's hilarious. I don't remember that title. That's hilarious. Larry elder, of course, is a hero. He's amazing, but it's just funny to me that you stumble on this book, and you're like, what is this? But you know what, you just said, though, is a very important teaching point. A lot of times Christians are very they're overly theological and they're overly cerebral or intellectual. They forget that truth is truth. And if you're fighting for truth, you're fighting for God's truth. There's no such thing as truth in God's truth. And what you just said about when you see about things that are wrong in justice, when you're working against that, and when you see that happening to you, whatever you fight against it, you're doing God's work and I think it's important because a lot of times the reason I'm saying this is because a lot of times people say, like, you know, you're not supposed to be political, if you're Christian. And you think, where do you draw that line? I mean, wilberforce was a politician who used politics to abolish the slave trade. Over and over and over again, you see these lines are blurred and sometimes you're forced to be political. So it's just fascinating to me that you saw this you kind of woke up to both of these things at the same time the situation of life and big government being bad and all that kind of stuff at the same time that God is going into your life. Yeah, it was, I mean, it was really eye opening, obviously, there were other people as well. I started listening to Rush Limbaugh and my vehicle. I had no idea who the guy was, but I would listen to him because I thought he was entertaining and funny. I didn't necessarily agree with some of the things at the time. It was the funniest thing, but then over a period of time, I was like, you know, this guy really clicks with me. He makes a lot of sense. He's actually saying.

"A wet? A death ring. Yeah. So I go around, hung out with a group of guys, go in the stores, much like California does now legal. So I wouldn't be a criminal in California today. But what California does legally now are people can do, I literally did it as a feat for a very short period of my life, probably one to two years, maybe. And got in trouble for doing it, but made a lot of money to be honest. Join it, and but God started it was weird. Even when I was doing it, I knew that it was wrong. I had that upbringing. I felt God tugging on my heart is. And honestly, I would just ignore it. Just to be Frank with you. I would ignore it. God put me in a position where I got arrested and I had to go to jail for a short stint during this period of time. I also had a child out of wedlock and the culmination of the two events. I really do believe God used it to just radically change my life. And I'll be honest, one of the gentlemen that I used to get in trouble with and he wasn't in the death ring, but it was stupid stuff between girls and fighting and going to clubs and just doing stupid stuff. This guy was one of the worst of the worst in my opinion. I hadn't seen him in over a year. And then one day, I'm on a basketball court and he comes to me. And he's like, hey, how are you doing? We started talking and he starts talking to me about Jesus. And I'm like, what are you talking about? I mean, I knew this guy to be, he was a former Chicago gang member. And I just knew he was a bad bad guy. Do you say Chicago or chicano? Both. Are you serious? Wow. And how old were you about this time? At this time, I must have been 1819 years old. So he comes up to the bad guy starts talking about Jesus. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, I wanted nothing. At the time, I really didn't want much to do with God. And I told myself, I said, listen, you know, I appreciate it. If I, you know, go back to church. I'd probably go back to my old worldwide church of God. Ironically, it ended up disbanding. Actually, let's put a put in it right there, folks. I'm talking to Carl Jackson. You're not going any place. I'll be right back. Hey folks, I've got to tell you a secret about relief factor that the father son owners Pete and Seth. Talbott have never made a big deal about, but I think it is a big deal. I really do. They sell the three week quick start pack for just 1995 to anyone struggling from pain like neck shoulder back, hip or knee pain, 1995, about $1 a day. But what they haven't broadcasted much is that every time they sell a three week quick start, they lose money. In fact, they don't even break even until about four to 5 months after if you keep ordering it. Friends, that's huge. People don't keep ordering relief factor month after month if it doesn't work. So yes, Pete and Seth are literally on a mission to help as many people as possible deal with their pain. They really do put their money where their mouths are. So if you're in pain from exercise or even just getting older, or the three week quick start from 1995, let's see if we can get you at a pain too, but relief factor dot com relief factor dot com or call 805 108 three 8 four 805 108 three 8 four relief factor dot com. I use it, it works. Hey there folks. As you know, I am on the Salem radio network. The aircraft access show is syndicated across the country. And I meet so many other radio hosts. It's just so fascinating that are part of the Salem team recently I was being interviewed about my book on Larry elder's show, and he had a guest host, Carl Jackson, and I just really enjoyed getting to know Carl in that brief interlude. I said, we got to have him on the show. He's got a great story. He's in the process of telling that story, Carl, you're at the point now where the guy this bad guy starts talking about Jesus, and you're basically kind of like thanks but no thanks. Yeah, he's a good friend to this day, Daniel Cosby, the cosmos, by the way, but yeah, it's pretty crazy. I mean, the guy is on fire for God, and he's a fighter for God. It's amazing where God brought him from, but he started tugging on my heart. He mentioned Jesus and then my brother, derail, probably 6 months or so later. He ended up getting saved and he started talking to me about Jesus. And I was like, what is what is coin on here? And I kind of blew him off to be Frank with you. But I was going back and forth in court proceedings, I'll be honest. I spent a lot of time in and out of court for one point I thought I wanted to become an attorney because I was getting to know the system so well, whether it was family court or criminal court. And I ended up fighting for custody of my daughter as well. I was in a bad, very bad relationship. And neither one of us were great people to each other to be Frank. It wasn't violence or anything of that nature. But it just wasn't a godly good relationship. And obviously I was living in sin. At the time, in God started tugging on my heart and I told this person. Listen, I really want to live for live forgot. And it's a crazy story. As a result of that, this person decided to leave the relationship. And, you know, I was like, okay. But this person disappeared with my child. So it was a crazy story where I ended up having to hire an attorney at private investigator. And I was broke as a joke. So I thank God, you know, this is why I say America is in systemically racist. I've had so many people that came into my life early on Eric that were that were white that wanted to lend me helping hand. It's hard, it's hard not to get choked up talking about it because there were so many people I grew up in an environment where my family I don't believe was racist, but I grew up in an environment where so many people, hey, white people are racist and this and that. And it's like God was beating me upside the head everyone that came to my defense. I'm talking including my criminal defense attorney, which was a high class attorney. I didn't have the money to afford this guy. He worked with me. The same was true for a family attorney. I mean, human Donald a criminal attorney neva Kelleher, a family attorney, both of them lives, by the way. I didn't realize that at the time. But just good hearted people that saw something in me that perhaps I didn't even see myself at the time that wanted to help me out and I wanted to be a father to my daughter wanted to get my life on track. And these people, these people lended me a helping hand. They fought for me in court and I went into, I mean, I was in a custody battle for my daughter. On and off for 7 years. Wow. Until.

"The Eric metaxas show with your host. Eric met Texas. Hey there folks is here to tax the show and as you know, I've been talking a lot about my new book is atheism dead. I'm very proud of it. I think it's very important information in it. A lot of people read it and compare me to Melville and Tolstoy. And I want to say that, you know, I've been doing a lot of radio talking about my book as atheism did. And I was supposed to be on the Larry elder show because I thought Larry was my friend. But they booked me on that program when he had a guest host because he was doing something silly. Like, I don't know, running for governor or whatever, what I don't even know if that was real. But the fact is that the guest host called Jackson. I hit it off with him so much. I said, I got to get this guy on my radio program, not to talk about his atheism dead, but to talk about Carl Jackson, and he is my guest today. I'm the host Karl Jackson, you're the guest. Welcome. Hey, thank you, Aaron. I appreciate you having me on. Well, I just, you know, there's certain people you just hit it off and I just thought I really loved talking to you and getting little bits and pieces of your story. And I thought you should come on my program and you know, I want my audience to get to know Carl Jackson and the only way I could really do that is to have you on the program. So now you did we just lose him? We lost him. So I'm going to keep going. It was at one 20. So I'll just keep going. Okay, here we go. So you seem to have a really interesting story, your faith story and everything. And I said, you've got to come on the show and talk about that and talk about how you got into radio. But where did it all begin for called Jackson actually before we get to where it began? Where are you now? Because you're doing a radio show. You're not just guest hosting for the great Larry elder when he's not there. That is correct. I'm currently living in Orlando, Florida, and I broadcast on a.m. 9 50 the answer Salem in Orlando here. So you're part of the Salem faculty as the great Sebastian gurkha calls it. Well, so, okay, so you're on the air in the Orlando area. But you've got an amazing story. I just got bits and pieces of it. So let's just start with tell us your story. How did it begin? Well, well, I gotta tell you, I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, born in the city of Compton, a race primarily in areas of linwood and Long Beach. My mother died when I was 11 years old. She was obviously the matriarch of the family. She was the glue that helped the family together. And after she passed, I was 11 years old. I remember the day vividly. I can remember virtually every detail, very tough day. And I had a father and I still do my father still live living in Los Angeles. And he was a disciplinarian. He was tough. I didn't have the greatest relationship with him at the time. I do have a much better relationship with my dad today. And I love him dearly, but he was a disciplinarian. And my mother obviously was the nurturer of the family and she did a great job of it. So when she died, I went from being an honor role student and gifted and talented. And unfortunately, I am not having that type on with my dad. I kind of drifted and get into some things that I shouldn't have gotten into fortunately. I was raised albeit in a cult initially thank God. It's no longer a cult worldwide Turkic God under Herbert W Armstrong. Had some biblical foundations. Some basis in the Bible, although that was a weird view, and again, thank God, they're no longer a cult. But so I ended up moving to Orlando, Florida when I was 15, 16, living with an aunt and uncle and I left Los Angeles because I wanted to make sure that I stayed out of the streets. And then unfortunately, living here, short period of time, I ended up getting into trouble with the law. Got arrested a couple of times. Now, before you go on Carl, that's fascinating that your mother dies you're very young. It's horrifying. And obviously, it's interesting too that, you know, when we talk about same sex marriage and stuff, I mean, the idea of having a mother and a father, they're very different. And they work usually together, ideally, right? Because just having a father just having a mother. But they work together. So that you clearly were not doing well with just your dad. But then you took it on your initiative to get out of that area and to go at whatever 15 or 16 to Orlando to get so it's not like your father sent you away. You said you want to do that? Yeah, I wanted to do that. And obviously it hurt my father at the time, but I thought it was the best thought it was the best thing. Obviously, I was very young and, you know, he was willing to allow it to happen to give it a shot and I stayed with an uncle of mine for approximately about a year or so. Before moving out on my own with some friends and did you I mean, what was going on where you were in California at that time that you said I need to get out of here? Quite frankly, I mean, growing up in being surrounded by gang members and everything like that. I just didn't want anything to do with that. We didn't have we didn't have a lot of money. I knew that we couldn't afford to live in the living areas that would that would be safe, quite frankly. And I just didn't like it. At one point in time, we came to Florida, a vacation in Florida and visited Mayan and uncle. And I thought that was pretty cool. I also had a friend in California that lived in Corona, California, riverside county. So sometimes I'd go up there to visit him. And I just have this I always wanted. I never wanted to be in the hood. You know, I survived in the hood, but I think anyone that's honest will tell you that listen, it isn't, it's not Paradise when you live in the hood. So I didn't want to be there and I felt like my only escape was to go to a safe place. A place that I knew and that was Orlando, Florida with a man and uncle that was okay, so you get to Orlando with good intentions, but you said you got in trouble anyway. So go ahead, keep going. Yeah, so I moved out late with my aunt and uncle for about a year. Then I moved out, moved in with some a friend of mine and eventually just started dating different girls and getting into that scene. I started hanging out with the wrong crowd. And eventually started getting in the trouble. You know, just it was stupid stuff too Eric. I mean, it was sometimes I would just go to I ended up getting it into a death ring to be quite honest with you..
