On this week's AP Religion Minute, the archbishop of Chicago wants more information from the Illinois attorney general about newly uncovered cases of abuse.

"This week's AP religion roundup. The archbishop of Chicago wants more information from the Illinois attorney general about newly uncovered cases of abuse. In an interview with The Associated Press, archbishop blaze sewage urged the attorney general to provide information about 125 newly uncovered cases of priests, who sexually abused minors. It really does highlight the terrible tragedy that took place in so many lives by priest who acted to responsibly, but also leaders in the church who did not respond appropriately. Cardinal sewage says he would gladly include the cases on his list of credibly accused clergy if the claims were substantiated. In his first interview, since the report was released, the cardinal expressed surprise that the report contained names he had never heard of. We are genuinely perplexed by the use of the word undisclosed reports because as far as we know and we verified this also with the state's attorney, we have gone ahead and been very careful about making sure that any accusation any allegation of sexual abuse of someone in the church has been reported to the state's attorneys. The nearly 700 page report said investigators found that more than 450 Catholic clergy and Illinois 6 diocese had sexually abused nearly 2000 children since 1950. It depicted the problem as far worse than the hierarchy had acknowledged in 2018 at the start of the state's review. The newly revealed cases wouldn't necessarily have been handled by the archdiocese, but rather the religious orders were the pre served. During the 5 years, we have constantly asked the attorney general. If you come across any accusations that have been substantiated, that we don't have who are religious orders or others, please tell us, and we will look into it and do it. So we were surprised by the new names on there. We thought we had that kind of relationship with the attorney general. And so our disappointed that we're hearing these for the first time. Super acknowledged that the report laid barrow problem in the way the Catholic Church has handled abuse cases. Religious orders such as the Jesuits franciscans and Maris often escaped scrutiny since they keep personnel files on their priests, not the diocese and leadership. I'm Walter ratliff.

Russia acknowledges Vatican peace initiative, says no steps yet for a mission to Moscow

"Russia has indicated that it views Pope Francis's peace initiative, positively. The statements from the Russian foreign ministry was the first public acknowledgment by Moscow of the Pope's move. However, Moscow stressed there are no immediate plans for a Vatican mission to the country. It followed the Vatican's recent announcements that Italian cardinal Matteo zupi had been tapped by Francis as his envoy at a news conference told reporters the scope of his mission. This mission aims at helping ease the tensions of the conflict in Ukraine. His still unscheduled talks would lead to pass of peace, much like he achieved on his mission to Mozambique in the 1990s, where he helped to mediate peace talks that ended the Civil War. Naomi Wolf and Eric Discuss Observations From King Charles' Coronation

"Anybody believes that Charles thinks of the Christian faith alone much less the faith of those in the Church of England to be worthy of his defense. He has always struck me as someone who does want to using your word Eli, you know, a lot of these differences. But when I saw him there with a Greek Orthodox priest and a Roman Catholic cardinal, I believe it was. And I just thought this is at least odd, but you go in your piece, you go way, way, way past that. So just. Let's talk about, I mean, the first thing you talk about that really struck me as creepy was the screen. Shielding him while there's this sacred moment with the Archbishop of Canterbury, who, as far as I'm concerned, the heretic anyway. So this is why part of me doesn't care about any of this. But the fact is that he shielded. But you said in your piece that we couldn't hear him and that was very strange that no one could hear what was going. We had to take it on faith, I suppose, that he's saying the sacred words as he is being anointed. So talk about that. Sure, it's interesting how people remember things because actually the first section of the essay, I think a lot of women will remember, which is about fashion. And it's about how in coronations past there have been ladies in the white dresses that's traditional, but that they wore the dresses of their fashion moment, whereas for the first time in all the coronations that I've seen, key women in this ritual were wearing druidic gowns, like literally handmaid's tale type, long sleeved ankle length, shapeless, tunick, white gowns, with a cape like poor little princess Charlotte, were a little cape lit. And they had kind of garlands in their rethink their crowns, and I thought, well, what is this in British history? This is druidism.

Pope allows women to vote at upcoming bishops' meeting

"Pope Francis has decided to give women the right to vote at an upcoming meeting of bishops. The Vatican has published modifications which emphasize Pope Francis vision for the lay faithful taking on a greater role in church affairs that have long been left to clerics, bishops and cardinals. Francis has approved changes to the normous governing the synod of bishops, a Vatican body that gathers the world's bishops together for periodic meetings, following years of demands by women to have the right to vote, observers say it's an historical form reflecting Frances hopes to give women greater decision making responsibilities and lay people more say in the life of the Catholic Church. "The archbishop of New York celebrates Easter mass at Saint Patrick's cathedral Sunday with a message of good over evil. Cardinal Timothy Dolan told worshipers at Saint Patrick's cathedral that Easter when Christians believe Jesus rose from the dead, reminds us God always has the last word over Satan. The victory of Easter is stronger than the darkness of good Friday because Easter has the last word. He says sometimes life feels like good Friday, the day Jesus was crucified, but then Easter comes. "A piece for it. I'm Bruce Morton. Brooks Koepka continues to sizzle at Augusta. Winner of four majors, he has a three stroke lead heading into the weekend. On Friday, he crowded a 5 under 67 leaving him at -12. Then really do too much wrong. Maybe the speed kind of got me on a few pots, striking the ball really well, leaving it in good spots. And it's what you got to do. You got to make birdies in these par 5s, take advantage of them and did a good job of that playing in 500. In second place is John romm, who got through ten holes before inclement weather on Friday, suspended play. Pro basketball, the playoff picture in the east was to a degree sorted out when Brooklyn bounced Orlando one O one 84 to clinch the 6th seed. Likes the idea of avoiding the play in tournament. Miami was chasing Brooklyn, but the heat will have to settle for a play in spot after falling to the lottery bound wizards one 14 one O 8. In the west, Golden State moved into 5th place at 43 and 38 by whooping shorthanded Sacramento one 1997. "AP's sports on Tom maryam. Now that the college basketball season has ended, all hoops attention is focused on the NBA, as the pros wind down their regular season. A big final week Eastern Conference match up in Philadelphia as the 76ers kept alive their chance of edging the Celtics for the number two seed with a one O three one O one victory thanks to 52 points by Joel embiid, the third time he's hit the half century mark this season for Doc Rivers team. The man just scored half our points in the NBA game. And I'm biased, but the MVP race is over. The Bucs now have a magic number of ones that clinch the top spot in the east, as Giannis had a triple double and a one 41 28 victory over the wizards for coach Mike budenholzer. We just kind of go about our business. There's, you know, rarely is there a special message or anything. The heat hawks and raptors all one key games while the nets lost as those teams battle to avoid the playing games in the east next week. Out west the warriors and Lakers also had important victories as they look to avoid the west play in games. Baseball, the defending national league champion Phillies became the last team to win a game this season, topping the Yankees four to one, as Kyle schwarber built in the 200th home run of his career. Cool thing, definitely definitely definitely a cool thing, but happy about the win. One day after routing them at ten zero, the brewers nearly duplicated the feat, settling for 9 zero triumph, as Milwaukee belted 5 home runs, three off Max Scherzer, the braves behind rookie Dylan Dodd down the Cardinals four to one. Other NL winners, the pirates, cubs, Diamondback Dodgers, and Marlins, who handed the twins their first loss. The raised hour remain undefeated, knocking off the nationals ten 6. "cardinals" Discussed on NFL Live

"Return? Yeah, the correct TV vernacular would be this is not, I'm from Louisiana. I'm a country. This ain't got nothing to do with Lamar Jackson, okay? This is about Todd Martin and what Adam alluded to about trying to progress his offense. Boogie, we've been talking about it on NFL live for a long time. About trying to evolve this offense and find some semblance of a passing game because everybody felt like it was holding them back even with Lamar Jackson at quarterback. The type of system that they ran. So Odell Beckham junior would do a lot for that entire monkey and his idea of what he wants to do. We saw him with stats and then Georgia. We sold the way that they were able to create a vertical passing game. Stetson was a guy that nobody thought could do what he did in the championship run two years back to back in big game. So it makes sense. But this is about the Baltimore Ravens, offensively, philosophically and having a new offensive coordinator. This ain't got nothing to do with Lamar Jackson. Well, the good thing for Todd monkey is and now moving to Lamar Jackson if he's still there, his quarterback will be the exact same age as stetson Ben was in college. So that part is good. I think when you look at what they want to do in the wide receiver room is this, Todd monken got in that building and said much to that organization, like Nick Saban told us when he came to LSU in 1999. Y'all don't look like a football team. Y'all don't look like y'all can get it done. And that's exactly what he felt about that wide receiver room. The proof is in the pudding. They have no outstanding outside targets. You have no one that could be a go to guy in the moments in the game where you need clutch catches. Who's going to come up big on third down other than Mark Andrews, Rashad Bateman has battled injuries and so for the Baltimore Ravens, it's about just improving the productivity in that room. It's not about enticing Lamar Jackson. Todd, let's say that they do end up going with hinden hooker because they feel like they're going to lose Lamar Jackson or something like that. Is there another receiver or a couple of guys we should look out for in later rounds that would make the ravens offense better? Yeah, I think there's some bigger receivers. You look at Cedric Tillman from Tennessee. He had the injury this past year only played 5 games, but the previous season had a breakout year and was a star for the vaults. And Jonathan mingo is another guy, big receiver, 6 three, 220 pounds, ran in the four floors. We're in a four four 6 at that size. And it's a big slot receiver who can get down the field and win a lot of 50 50 battles. So I think it's a combination of whether it's size speed or a combination of both. They need someone who can stretch the field. And when the ball is up in the air, go up and get it. And they just haven't had that guy consistently with the ravens. And as long as I can remember. Yeah, mingo played in a creative offense, too, it'll miss. We're going to let Todd run here. Is he's front and center on the SportsCenter special top of the hour over on ESPN2 Mel pepper junior. Chris Morton field Yates joining Todd this entire two round mock draft thanks to Todd. Don't miss that time. He's already watching it. Yeah, he is. He's got a loaded up. Time for one more thing before we go. Wouldn't accomplishment guys for Joe burrow. He was named best Cincinnati in for the first time. He knocks off Fiona the hippo from the Cincinnati zoo. Acuña, Morton lift Braves to 8-4 win over Cardinals

"The braves belt three home runs in the first two innings off of losing pitcher Jake Woodford to beat the Cardinals 8 to four, Ronald Acuna junior hit a three run shot Ozzie albies contributed a two run blast in Austin Riley added a 473 foot solo Homer. One through 9 so deep so talented and you know it makes it tough on pictures, you know, because it's not one through 5 and then it's that next guy that they're having to worry about. Charlie Morton allowed three runs over 5 and a third innings to pick up the win, Paul Goldschmidt hit his first Homer of the season for the Cardinals. Mike Reeves, St. Louis.

Gorman hits 2 homers in St. Louis' 9-4 win over Toronto

"The Cardinals down the Blue Jays 9 to four to take two of three in their season opening series at Busch stadium, the red birds belt three first inning home runs off of losing pitcher Chris Bassett with Brendan Donovan and Alec bergelson going back to back to start the game before Nolan Gorman would hit the first of his two homers later in the inning. I think you see guys in front of you, you know, doing well and swinging a hot bat and brings confidence to you that you can go up there and do the same. Gorman finished with four RBIs Jordan Montgomery would work 5 innings and give up three runs to pick up the win. Mike Reeves, St. Louis.

Flaherty pitches 5 hitless innings, Cardinals beat Jays 4-1

"Jack flirty tossed 5 scoreless innings to help the Saint Louis Cardinals beat the Toronto Blue Jays four to one on Saturday. Flirty did not allow a hit, but surrendered 7 walks and hit a batter. 7 walks is not pitching. It's not something that's not going to work over the long run of games. But was able to get away with it today. The pitch is when you need to, but that's one of the weirder lines of ever seeing Kevin gausman took the loss for the Blue Jays despite not allowing an earned run in 6 innings of work, Ryan helsley recorded the final 5 outs for his first save of the season. "I would say that my X Factor for this game, since you didn't ask for it, I'm just going to give it to you. Is Jerry Hughes? And I liked in the that first game, I thought it was fun what they were doing Leslie Frazier and co we're doing was. And this is not anything new or outlandish, but they were just having him sort of fake a rush, which again that conflicts the offensive tackle who's not going anywhere. And then just almost have him back up and just sit in the middle of the field when Patrick Mahomes is throwing the ball and the chiefs have so many of those crossing concepts and it was almost like, well I'm just gonna stand here and everybody else is already covered, so this is just a different thing for you to have to deal with. And he was almost just like waving his heads in front of Patrick Mahomes's face and being like, okay, try to figure out tyreek hills behind here somewhere, but I don't think you can find him. And so I think that was sort of an interesting take on that where and then Hughes could rush. Strategically. And I think that they did that really well. They mixed that stuff up well. And they threw some stuff that, again, Patrick Mahomes has seen all this before, but, you know, veteran guys in big spots that have seen this stuff a ton of times. I like their odds in this. And I like what they did in that last game. I wonder if they do that again with Jerry Hughes. And the chiefs took a similar attack as far as coverage versus pressure when they played Josh Allen last time. And Allen didn't have a huge passing game. They just, you know, he picked up chunks on the ground. You know, they were taking the ball away. I don't know. I'm not sure what the best way to guard these bills guys are. I would say I don't want to play a whole lot of man coverage against them after seeing what happened to the Patriots. A week ago, but I don't know. Am I just a prisoner of the moment at this point? No, because I think that's what Brian dabel does. He wants, you know, well, I'll say this. I think his best stuff. I think Brian Abel's best calls this year have been against zone defenses because that way you can still impact the defense without exposing your relative lack of depth in the playmaker department, right? Like you can bring guys out and just draw a defender in and then create space for Stefan Diggs without having to just like win on these match ups all the time. And so I might test them and you know I think what Belichick's idea was sound, right? Because it's like I would rather have some good defenders beat than to have him just like basically use the rules of my defense against me and pick me apart that way. But I don't know. I think that the chiefs offer a slightly different flavor defensively and Tyree Matthew is going to be sort of the equalizer here in New England didn't really have a kind of player that can change the equation like that. But it's just so tough. Josh Allen's mobility is you can't talk about it enough. It just changes everything. When a player that is that large and physical, when we saw it in 2015, when the Panthers went to the playoffs, Cam Newton, when a player is that large and physical, and then you can spread the ball out and throw the football. It's almost impossible to defend. Prediction..

"This is the difference is .23 between these two teams, so basically a quarter of a point. And so slight edge to the bucks in this one as far as the spreadsheet is concerned. I guess that's an over time. Maybe that's like a triple over time game is what we end up getting. I'll take that. We're in need of we're in need of like a real banger, you know? Like I think we all sort of chargers and raiders just wore us out, you know? And I think we need we need to get we need an exhausting like we need an exhausting game that just like us has us enthralled from moment one. My hope is that the rams score points. If the ribs, if this offense breaks again, then there's nothing to see here. This feels like the game, though, that can't be anything but close. I just can't see a scenario. I can see scenario where the packers run away from the forty-niners, I can see a scenario where the Titans get a couple turnovers in that game goes sideways. It's really difficult to picture this one being anything but like a one possession game going to the fourth quarter. As unsexy as this probably is though, right? Like that doesn't it always come down to defensive line pressure, penetration, which team do you expect to do that better? I thought it was interesting. In the last game that they played against each other in week three, I've never seen both of those quarterbacks play worse under pressure. And I do think that both of these defenses do have some unique pieces that just throw off those kinds of quarterbacks specifically, right? Like Tom Brady hates when there is quick penetration defensive tackles because they're closer to him and they negate a little bit the best part of his game, which is I can get rid of the ball in 2.3.

"Thought I got a lot of confidence in seeing the cardinals just beat the crap out of Cooper Cup on Monday and then it didn't matter because you isolated Tyler higbee and Odell Beckham and they just beat you that way. And we'll see what happens there. I don't know if cam Akers has a cam Aker's game against this front and like we've said the Buccaneers run defense is a little bit of a there's a false bravado there. They're very weak on the perimeter. I think that there's ways that you can run on this team, even though the eagles weren't able to. You're not getting a cam Aker's performance, right? So where does that all even out in the middle? I think they've shown they can succeed when you take Cooper Cup out of the game. So I don't know. I'm slightly more confident that I have been in years past. And if you're Sean mcvay too, you have to know that. You have to know that this thing is built for the long haul and you have to build in some stuff. And now you probably can with Matt Stafford, whereas with Jared Goff, what would you have been able to do? Differently, because you couldn't trust him to run any portion of the offense anyway. Yeah. No, exactly. I mean, look, the McVeigh versus bowls side of this is really, I mean, those are two, those are two a list guys going ahead on that side of the ball. On the other side of the ball so my guess is we don't have Tristan worses on Sunday and then Ryan Jensen's kind of up in the air. It seems like Jetson is more likely to play. But either way, you have kind of a banged up bucks offensive line and what you saw last week. There was margin for error just because the eagles number one weren't doing anything offensively. Number two, Tom Brady really had a beat on what they were doing defensively. But you saw some, you know, moments where young receivers were not on the details like Chris Godwin was like Antonio Brown was when they were healthy. And they left a couple plays on the field because of it. There is much less margin for error with his offense here. And look, you're gonna have Jalen Ramsey on Mike Evans. That doesn't mean he's 100% taken away, but it's going to be probably not a 9 catch 130 yard game for Mike Evans at this point. And you have to have some sort of way to figure it out, which, you know, you assume it's heavier reliance on the quick game at this point. If you're going to have to negate what's obviously a really good rams front for against a banged up bucks offensive line. Yeah. If I were Raheem Morris, it's going to be interesting, right? The temptation would almost be to assume that they're going to do that. And as much as, okay, you want to operate at a complaint that Antonio Brown isn't there anymore. But this is a group of personnel that can probably win against a somewhat ravaged secondary that doesn't necessarily tackle well, right? And so you would you would want to rely on that quick game. You know, you would just want to have him get the ball out of his hands and then allow him allow whatever Vaughn Evans, all these guys to just break a couple tackles. And death by death by paper cuts, you know?.

"Even go back to Texas tech, the way they finish seasons, but I feel like this was really an exaggerated version of that and it's time to kind of diagnose what is going wrong here. I can't believe you just holstered your ideal bob hearts abishola to Kyler Murray transition that I know you had in you somewhere, but you just didn't try. I gotta save it. I gotta save it for when the show is drawing the kind of ratings that bob hart's ever show gets. We would be lucky to be bob hart's abishola. But so yeah, so this game came down and I wrote this that night. But I froze the game at one point. It was the Kyler pick 6, right? And that play that kind of turn the tables of the game made it 21 nothing. You're not gonna come back in that game. There was a moment where if you paused it right, you know, Kyler Murray had not yet felt the pressure. I think it was reader that was coming in on the blitz. He had not yet felt the pressure, but there was one it was the ram's third best defensive tackle. And he was conflicting four cardinals blockers at once, which is crazy to me. So they had 6 man protection. They had the 5 offensive linemen, and then they had Chase Edmunds, who was the worst of their two blocking backs. James Connor is the best blocking back in the NFL. Chase Edmonds is like the 60th best blocking back in the NFL. Sand chase Edmonds in at the goal line. And they ran a little game with Greg gaines and Aaron Donald. So Aaron Donald is on the Aaron Donald is on the left. He fakes like he's going to rush and then he kind of loops outside and then just stands there. Like he's like he's gonna cover in zone. And all of a sudden gains then just goes all the way to the left where Aaron Donald was and along the way gets double teamed and then there are just two guys that thought they were blocking Aaron Donald that are like, okay, we have nothing to do now. So here comes Greg gaines. Let's just wait for him. And then Justin Pugh comes out to just stand there in front of Aaron Donald to make sure that Aaron Donald doesn't come back again. So then you have your left tackle one on one with von Miller and then you have a blitzing linebacker one on one with one of the worst blocking backs in the NFL. At the two yard line, which is crazy to me. And then all the other stuff comes together where Kyler Murray, you and I have talked about this, doesn't throw a ton of checkdowns. He always goes for that downfield the vertical throw, how to check down, didn't throw it, held onto the ball. And it's just so emblematic of everything that's broken with this, right? The air raid has the big on big protection, which just doesn't work. At the NFL, especially if you're stunted like this, Kyler Murray doesn't take those advantageous throws for one reason or another. And the plays are predictable. I mean, it's cool when you have Deandre Hopkins and you can cite adjusts and you can do all this stuff, but if you don't have these guys, you're like what he was running like whatever it was, like, a three tiered concept, high medium low. And it was almost like the rams knew exactly what was going to happen. And they had one of the like a decimated secondary and they still covered that play long enough to shut him down..

"How many beds on daily wager? Have you hit in a row? I saw the tweet and I thought to myself, I'm not liking this. I'm not retweeting this. I don't want to come anywhere near it for fear of mushing. How scorching hot you've been right right now. No, I'm 13 and O, but that started last week with a week 18, which nobody wanted to give any picks for that because we had no idea how that was going to go. So I got lucky. And then it has just been rolling. So I'm petrified to give out a pick today. I'm like, there's no way in no chance. I'm gonna be able to stay hot, but hopefully fingers crossed fingers crossed, but yeah. No, this is fun. You got the wrong mindset. Right now, you are the meme of Walter white from Breaking Bad, saying this train stops for no one. That's what you are right now. This train stops for no one. So let's start with the final wild card game of the weekend. Rams hosting the Cardinals, rams laying three and a half total of 49 and a half. It's been Arizona money, depending on where you look the rams did open as high as 5 at some shops at the beginning, trickle down to four and a half four and then about Sunday afternoon at some time. We're actually may have been the Friday Saturday transition. We saw this pop down to three and a half. I've got a little play on the side and some props, but I want to start with you because you are why the people are here. What are you thinking about? No, I'm not Joe. I loved the cardinals but they were plus four and a half earlier in the week. But that's mine is dropped down too much. So prop that I do like is Matthew Stafford to throw an interception. He didn't get picked off when they beat the Cardinals in that Monday Night Football showdown back on December 13th. But he's been pretty terrible in terms of throwing pics this season he's tie with Trevor Lawrence for a league war 17 interceptions. He's thrown at least one in ten to the last 14 games, 11 since week 9. Now, we know what Matthew Stafford, of course, first year being with the rams, but he's never won a postseason game in his career. But in the three games that he has played in the postseason, he's thrown four interceptions in those games. So I think the pressure really ramping up on him and especially the postseason may make him sling the ball just a little bit carelessly there and throw an interception in this game. Literally impossible for me to not like that pick, given everything I've seen from staff for the last few weeks. I think the world expects him to go out and melt down here tonight. I'm not so sure. I would definitely not bet against you with him throwing a pick with the way he's been lately. Here's what I've got for the card tonight. I am going to play the rant. Now this isn't my favorite of the plays, but when it comes to the side, I'll lay the three and a half evaluate the teams for who they are, not who they were. And while the random and sloppy down the stretch, yes, they have won 5 of their final 6. Like they did still find a way to win in ball. They figured it out. Exactly. It didn't look good, but they got it done. Now, I would normally be betting against the team like that in this spot if their opponent wasn't stumbling worse than they are. And that's the Arizona Cardinals. Started 7 and O since then they've gone four and 6. The scoring during the 7 and O streak from 32 points per game down to 22 points per game. The defense during the 7 and O streak was giving up just 16 points per game. Now they're giving up 25 points per game. If this was only a ten game season and the only thing we saw from the Cardinals was the four and 6 run, we wouldn't be impressed at all with them. That's why I'm gonna play the rams at three and a half. I think the cardinals are in a worse situation right now than the rams. A couple of props for you. AJ green over 43 and a half receiving yards. The rams run a ton of zone, third most zone defensive coverages in all the NFL, green is the best guy against the zone for Arizona. First game against the rams this year, 5 grabs for 67 yards in a score, second game, 7 grabs for a 102 yards and no scores. I'm leaning into that going over 43 and a half. Conversely, on the ram side, Tyler higbee the tight end I'm going under 40 and a half yards. I think a lot of people are gonna play the over because when you look at this, he's gone over this total and each of his last four games. So his recent trend, red hot to this number. But there's a reason it's lower than you would expect. And that's what people need to dive into here. Arizona is elite at defending opposing tight ends. All right, elite. They allowed just 59 receptions to the position. Third fewest in the NFL. Fourth fewest receiving yards allowed to the tight end position, and they only gave up two TDs to tight ends all year long, which is tied for the fewest. I don't think he could be going to have a big night. I'm going under 40 and a half receiving yards for him. Over 43 and a half receiving yards for AJ green and rams minus three and a half. Now that is what we'll be talking about in part on tonight's mega cast, which you can check out on ESPN+. The daily wager crew will be teaming up with the NFL live crew, Laura Rutledge, being a kind, Dan Orlovsky and Marcus spears..

"One has six catches on eight point three targets per game. Sixty eight point nine yards per game and point four touchdown catches per game. Might receive for two has four point four catches per game seven point two targets per game. Sixty eight point. Eight yards per game and point five touchdown catches per game. The third wide receivers robert woods who has five point eight catches on eight point six targets and sixty six point. Eight yards point three touchdown catches per game. The point being he compares favorably in terms of yards and catches. I suppose those those tight ends as well to the to wide receivers. We do not know so if we can potentially throw the blind resume graph up in just a minute. we're going to get. we are getting. Their math is gonna be. Yep he's downloading wiretap right now so i can book beyond his wildest matthew berry right matthew berry. You're downloading the hawaii up. Are you booking your while. this means. Wait dreams no wait. Means you've got a lotta means your. Ym's i am. I'm trying to book a flight to the land of tall people with that. Like it looks. Like i i cannot wait. I wish i cannot tell you what. I'm what i just got a text from. Somebody and i cannot wait to tell you guys as soon as we get off the Because if i on the air it's going to get sure got me in trouble. We are getting there real quick though with the blind wrestling. You take a look at this. And i gave you some other numbers that are similar to this. How about this robert woods. Target share is way up compared to wide receiver one and wide receiver to who are both dallas cowboys wide receivers. We will reveal them. I'm going to go with a marker and mike cd lamb and okay never mind. They're not cowboys wide receivers. I don't know they are so. I have no idea those people are i'm gonna guess rhonda more i'm he didn't play in the nfl. Last i think one of them one of them has to be marvin jones. I think they're i think if i was thinking the other way the kyle puts these together i think he would compare a new matthew stafford wide receiver to an old matthew stafford wide receiver. So obviously you have to start getting into the mind of and that's jones is one of them as the other one. Now you're thinking about like cheese and bowling and let's throw it up golladay. i'm going to guess what. Oh wow okay metcalf nice job. That's that's right since two thousand nineteen of course when decay entered the league all right so it leads right into the rams and we'll actually start. I skipped over matthew stafford before the blind resume. My bad on that. Let's go back to matthew stafford and we'll talk about the new. Rams quarterback who last year was quarterback twenty one in a points per game basis. He finished with over four thousand passing yards. He also got hurt last year. But it's no concern going into this season quarterback twelve on your board and my board quarterback thirteen on daniels board matthew. The question with matthew stafford is that as we talk more. And more about the impact of rushing quarterbacks and fantasy. This is not a bad athlete by any stretch. He's also not. An elite runner should be target for people as a starter. Coming out of their drafts. No i look. I think there is if you wind up in a draft twelve team deeper and matthew. Savage is starting quarterback. I think you're gonna be fine. I think he has a. I think he has a very good fantasy here. I think the problem is. Is that having a good quarterback. This is the new mediocre because like again. He doesn't give you anything with your legs. It's the same issue. We talked about with james. Winston at the top of the show like in stafford is a much better situation than winston. He's not going to have you know he's he's not gonna split time with a taste hill. I think it's it's got better weapons around him. He's got a great offense of mine. In sean. Mcvay with no disrespect sean. Payton also a great coach but so stafford stafford to somebody who i think has a very nice fantasy of the problem is he just doesn't give you anything with his legs but look when he throws he's productive right since the start of twenty nineteen he is ninth top ten. Nfl he has nine and fantasy points per pass attempt. He is eleventh and touchdown rate when he throws he is productive. And i think that this is as good this is. This is the best situation he's ever been there been times when he's had as much talent as he is. He's gonna have in la. I don't know that he's ever had as much talent. And the offensive scheme that he's gonna have in. Sean mcvay jared goff definitely times where jared goff was fantasy viable. That's jared goff with all due respect to him hints. Matthew stafford not at this point in their careers. So look i've matthew stafford's qb Twelve that's his. adp qb twelve. So he's like a borderline. Qb one in a twelve team deeper league. I loved sorry field. You really quickly. I love this last death. That's on the field. Red zone drives per game in two thousand nine hundred and twenty twenty. You look at what the rams did they were fifth. Right in the the lions were twenty six. matthew stafford simply didn't have the ability to be able to get down there with that lions team last year. I think that's going to change a lot so like you're saying i'm with you guys. I just think it's really interesting when you look at how he's just going to have more options and better chances to score more.

"Both those numbers. You saw it there on your screen. If you're watching home like he's money in the bank. He is money in the bank. Let's talk about the cardinals. Pastures rather than going through each of them individually. Because the names in mind rhonda more green and also curtian kirk. Is there any of those three that you think merits redraft consideration more for those. I'm sure many but for those haven't heard much about him. He is our second round. Pick out of purdue. he was a freshman phoenix. He continued have an excellent career. I only played three games last year. Obviously a shortened season in many college football conferences. He's electric matthew. He's pint-sized any of those guys. Pique your interest and then they know where to go. Can i just we and really quickly. Before i just wanted to ask. You said he's pint-sized. Frame is something that i just wanted to bring up a part of this. Because he's he's five seven right now that he's older. He's column like a giant compared to him yes he's just not like a big wide receiver as a part of that. When you're talking about from that standpoint he's he's he's he's you said he's five seven five eight. Yeah and he. How much are we think. Probably like one eighty. He's tubby thick. He's built right. I'll tell you five eleven. Stop it have. You told me your six to were not even close to that. What do you think i am. I think you're like five seven eight. No he's probably five eleven. I'm five ten and a half. Which is the five eleven five ten and three quarters and i can vouch for fields five ten and a half because i'm a quarter inch taller than he's not know what a five seven person looks like. I think it looks like you. Maybe stuff it. And i don't think i'm only an inch taller than you. Wow me like. I think can you stand up and go back..

"I think independence debate couple tangles people other. Espn i think the cardinals are the second best offense in the division. I think that kyla murray is a better quarterback than jimmy garoppolo. And i think the cardinals have better scope players in the niners. I think the russell wilson kim counted out so you know to me. It's going to be a dogfight for number two. I think the cardinals could sneak in with seven playoff seed which is what they were fighting for last year. You know i don't know i see. Twelve wins in their future. I maybe i think we're looking at the nine ten wins innocuous eight. I'm not going to be surprised if they go. Eleven in in search seventy games this year. I still struggling with that as well. I just weird. You picked it up so you know. So i guess i mean. Let me adjust it so with seventeen games. We're looking at nine. Ten eleven wins eleven six now. Surprise me I don't see them moving. Twelve thirteen fourteen. Fifteen sixteen seventeen wins. But you know. I think they could sneak in with seven seed. I just you know. But i'm going to catch on one hundred percents. I'm not surprised the team gets on a roll in starts like six of one you know. I think there's there's potential there. But i think realistically i think we're looking at nine ten eleven win win team that made me get in the playoffs. So i guess with the seventeen. I'm still trying to get my head around them new as well but with a seventeen week sees everything gave me season. Eleven the ten right so if the bench most of the time. If you and six you probably you're really unlucky appropriate to get in. That's eleven now going to shift up. So yeah i mean. Eleven winter in this division is a total hard we said before teams that end strong even if they've ended up with an eight eight record whatever the equivalent of that is that there were eight date somewhere jeff fisher is going to be shaking his head ruefully that but the season indifferent different season but you end strongly. Everybody's excited about it as we said combustive. If it ends will a little bit flat were a bit worried. What if this season is a little bit like that. Insofar as it's a winning record some baked performances they hold a little bit farmer through the course of the season but they miss out. Is that going to be enough pickings. Brea they're gonna look at anything or he was ten seven eleven six in the top division of football. We'll give them another dance. It's going. I think it depends on how they lose those games. Losing them on some free play or by game. Winning field goal may they. We'll do one more year if they're getting blown up by the rams thirty four seven again. I don't see. I think that michael longest. I've had enough if you're injuries. I think he's back for another year but if they're if they're not competitive every single team and i think you're to lose competitive. There's no doubt about. You cannot lose all of them. But you're not gonna win all of them either. I think they're they're in it and they're winning. Some shouldn't win. I think that's going to be. That's going to help. But they cannot leave the games that they should win. I think that's what hurt muster and they are. They went win. The games should win in winsome games. They should lose then. I think could typically equal very back in twenty twenty that while they. What are the teams with deep diving. On because i think they are amongst the most intriguing franchises in the nfl. Right now and you've definitely Underpin that theory that narrative. Because i am really fascinating to see both sides of the ball the collins on both sides of the ball off the getting that kind of intelligence like josh. Great work really really appreciate you dropping by enjoy the rest of shits creek. 'cause it sounds like the season to go and they did well. They ended. They went out on a high right. Now we're talking about ed. Strongly shits creek is like they ran the four games in a row at the end of the season. Everybody left them wanting more. So you've got a lot more fun and strap as look forward to their so. Enjoy that look after yourself. Checking with us. Who will do..

"That if you look at the impact of the return of sutton to that denver offense. It's the same kind of principle with jerry. Judy because sutton went down for the season jerry. Judas a rookie was suddenly dealing with the top corners and was in at the deep end. That's going to change it and was sutton getting that attention judy's to benefit from that. So it's a win win that sutton back for that offense jerry. Judy having different kinds of attention. Great point you'll making here with. Aj green hadn't considered that. Because everyone's saying well as aj green is he washed up his he left in the tank. Well it depends on the road. He's playing right and and that certainly makes a lot of sense. Let's defense a particular interested in what you think of zaven collins coming in and simmons as well with his first season because the semi kinds of players right and said we'll see shaping up defense around those types of of plays i guess combustion you've got. Jj watt coming in and china jones courses. Well but let's start with a young players simmons his first year. How would you rate that. What did you make of his rookie year. He was learning on the fly he was he was another one of these players. That really suffered with no no preseason not in you know you look at what happened in week wine last season With simmons there at san francisco in he gets. I think unfair which which part of the game but where he monster goes out into. The flat catches a pass and crosses up simmons into goes. Go seventy five yards per touch. I think that was the moment where we were kind of like. This is going to be a long season for is as demons because he didn't really have opportunity to to to see what applicable like Training camp which right it has to be recorders speed. No one's touch. You know preseason so he's not going to see what edible speed is like it any level so the player week one and we saw him really you know he struggled early on. Let's be honest with you. Will he struggled until he made an interception against seattle at home in in in overtime. And then you saw him kind of figured out writing. These are very talented man. Very glad again man. He gets it but it took him a little while to get what he was doing. It didn't help that they were. They haven't played linebacker. They had him and safety. The russian off the edge ski that yet because because everyone when he came out and we were doing that draw live on radio over here and everyone was saying. The great thing about this guy is his versa tendencies. We played in eleven different positions. Whatever it is a co ed college. But at time i thought okay. Obviously that's testament to the athlete that he is in the in the brain that he must have to be able to adapt but is that going to be an issue. We see this a lot in in european football and soccer right the you see certain players who that charisma stunted degree effective because they're so versatile they get moved around so much they can't really get into his slipstream in any one particular spot. So do you think that's happened. A little bit with simmons or one hundred percent one hundred. I think with especially last jedi because the pandemics the off-season was so limited. I think what the cardinals should have done with a. You're going to play one position until you get your feet under us and then we'll bigger out from there. I think too soon. He was going from inside linebacker to safety to do all these things. it's like. what are you doing in this kid. You're going to you know. I don't care how smart he is. Nfl football is so different than college. Football like you're you're gonna make the kids head swim in. It's interesting to meeting you're watching franchise for the last nine years eight years. Whatever it is they did. This wasn't clip kingsbury staff but the cardinals the franchise did this with Tom radic keeping an adventure off the off the in russia out of college and they Moved around. Steve voltage around gene theory and moved around early on until it finally the end of the two thousand nineteen season. They're like oh he's a pretty good at rusher. Will no kidding dieted in college. Off the edge right right seeping. Why weren't you. Let him get his legs under him with one job and then slowly on either progressives and we saw him obviously kind of come into south at the end of the season but you mentioned in collins so the one thing i think's gonna be interesting about this year is obviously idea. Simmons will be one of the cardinals to starting inside linebackers. The other one is david collins at arizona's first round pick you know so so heavy one combined nearby enveloped spirits between those two. It's a major risk because you know. The cardinals are putting so much responsibility on the david collins. To run the defense he starting as a as a day one rookie. He's going to give him the green dot between season. Be calling the defeated quarterback of the defense in you're doing i don't care what you are. We saw last year with isaiah Own legs under him now. You're pointing even more responsibility on. Worke is a major risk in the cardinals understand. The coach epp told the season the big ups and downs. They'd expect bumps on the road. But but what if even collins cost you game or tuned to timber that might matter in december eight so i just think it's an unnecessary risk. They've jordan on the roster a veteran. He's run the events for a couple of years. He's terrible to me. I'm fine the cardinal coaching staff. I'm saying let jordan hicks play. Let zaven learn. And maybe you slowly phased out jordan. If you really don't want him part of the lesion you want david to be the guy he's about as the season goes but to do this thing wine. It is to me a major major liability. And i think it could cost the cargo playoff spot to be frank with the. Wow i'd i'd have got onto some logic to y when as we said earlier on this is and it's not not exactly a an illuminating heartache. But it is one of the toughest of football. So you're absolutely right. One or two games could be the difference when you're looking at the competition. That's a risk. What's jj what the acquisition of jj watt. If they low risk high rewards ninety right you. You already have chandler. John's opposite him. Do we know if he gets going. He's nineteen twenty sack guy. i think with. jj watt. we just don't know what he has left. And we don't know what he's going to you know i think if he's top of at the top of his game. The peace keith. Jj watt and we lost thirty thirty. One i i think we're gonna see deepen to flourish in i've written about this before in a truly stipulated that. Jj watt gets go offencive lined up record. Ears are going to be. They're going to lose sleep over this food. Double team jilting. Jj or you double team chandler. Johnson right i mean. It's kind of a nightmare situation for for for tackles. What are you gonna deal right. But the problem is what if. Jj watts knots. Not that can channels. Were back getting last year when he double doubling in chip cleansing treblinka. Once in a while. Yeah exactly so you know it's it's it's the risk of low because you don't if you bring if he doesn't do well okay you know. He's at the end of his career. That's fine and if he does great rewards incredible a he's going to be a great lock. Think one of the major by they brought him in because they didn't bring back court. Peters was a van tastic locker room He's a pillar the locker room and lock guy with leverage jail who was gonna be epitome locker room guy so they needed that presence and he's going to help bring it But you know. I think that. I think of jason's health and i think if he gets going we gives you ten fifteen sacks added what we love it we love that yeah exactly healthy is the operative thing because he is rarely been the question that we would love to see that it..

"About the cardinals and may be may be a major might up about what kind of season they are having in the toughest division in football. Sit back relax. Enjoy the brilliant josh memphis. She's great to see you. Thanks very much indeed for taking time and coming up. We're always gonna talk or cardinals but before we get into that. I was looking at twitter. Feed at josh wine. I wanna follow josh on twitter. And he should by the way. And i've noticed because the deep dive detective what that i was doing with both five shits creek. The great shits creek one of the best comedy in the last twenty years. No doubt about it and you have discovered something that has got my mind racing. You're saying that for all the fans out there fans shits creek out there. I'm sure you'll know what i'm talking about. If not go and check it out first of all but more johnny to the main characters in it and a lot of the action around that hotel room. You've not something about it. Just tell us more conspiracy theory. I've noticed that their hotel room keep like the layout of a keeps changing like there was one show where david in alexis in the opposite way than they typically do and then last night i wife and i were watching. I think it was season three episode three. I might be mistaken. That johnny road was sitting at a table with is is closets and seeing but the direction of the chemo should have been where the door was connecting him. The children's wrote morocco positive. I look at my wife. I'm like that's not right. She's a no. It's not so. I knew i wasn't going crazy like the third time that's happened for. The room is normally back. And look at this. Because i figured maura maybe when i tweet i thought okay. Maybe he's missed more tinkering pulse during the premise of of this series. If you haven't seen it as uber wealthy family on their cops they lose everything. They end up in a motel in the middle of nowhere that tomatoes to get more as in the room to kind of keep it but no that sounds like structural fundamental continuity issues. It right because you have to have the door that connects the room by the lake at the at one point like the room for switched. Because it i mean it might ahead you walk into johnny. Moya's room You have the bed. Fear rights you have. Her wigs raped cheered last october wings in her for her table. Is the connecting door. Right in theory you would think that they had the last room in the motel and the kids right next to that next time that switch right sometimes like if you if that's the way it's like a looks sometimes. They're going the opposite direction. It's like the kids room. Were the last room. And they're inside. So i wouldn't mind. There's be a website somewhere that talks about the sky. Shaw listens at the nc shirt facebook. Instagram twitter let us know shits creek fans out. I'm sure you're right. Somebody is somebody has done a deep dive on this but at the moment my had a head is spinning my world has been turned upside down just to be honest. So that's ahead of way to stop watch show and i would say along with. I'm a big iraq as well. I think that you were extremely underrated over here. In the uk. Thirty wrote but shits creek in terms of ensemble cast. There is an murphy's great katrin ahora. I mean the the father son combo them at the carrot taxes. Well the bit-part plays that will barrel boys. Lhasa love love to pick up to get on. well if we're creek funds not saudi. We're not going to spend twenty minutes talking. Hey there's a been of show right there. It is the season i mean. Come on. we're with scraping stories right now but when when it comes to a deep dive on the cardinals. There's a lot we want to talk about. I guess i have to start with mari. Because he is the the the superstar on the side and that such a difficult thing. When you've got the andre hopkins. Jj what in the mix. But he's certainly. I think the player that is garnering. The most attention going into this season. Talk us through josh last season. Because he came out flying and was in terrific shape for the first two thirds of the season that it all went wrong. What d- put that down to was it primarily. Injury was it more than focus through his season last year. Yeah so you were your two percent. Right he started out he give higher out of the gates and then week night so the week after the bye week. They played the miami dolphins and he suffered a shoulder in from that moment on he was different and you know he reinjured it two weeks later week. Eleven against the seahawks and win. When when he suffered that injury he stopped doing what kyla mary does. And this is being completely dynamic mobile quarterback he was worried about getting hurt more so people really wasn't running. What's meant the optics became very dimensional. Which the cooking very really didn't do a good job of adapting the offense to that injury right. he'd he did not basically revamp the offense to make it work within the confines. What kyla murray can deal. And you know what we saw was a team. That really don't have an identity. That second half of the season ended showed you know. They lost three Three in a row below four out of five would've lost five in a row but wasn't for the hail mary Gender hopkins against the bills. I think all that's because the it's simple could kingsbury did not go and say okay. What can you do. What can we do offense within the limitations of pilot. murray right now dan. We don't think the big took back and went to the season. Said we need to find guys that we could adapt with into. That's aj green. That's james connor. I think those guys are going to make a huge difference because it kind of more gets hurt again than they have the pieces to go in adapted to go into make changes on the flaw the personnel. Whether or not they had the coach do it. I think is still the big question. We see a situation similar to last year. I just don't know how much kingsbury how much longer co kingsbury is gonna last. Let's talk about that kings pre because he is one of those coaches inevitably invariably every season as we go into the season there x number of coaches on the halsey. Right kings priests seems to be one of those countries family on that is it because i mean it's interesting. You talk about his strategic tactical shortcomings mid mid season outside of that. Is it difficult for him. Because the expectation was he's coming into the nfl cottam. Murray is going to be as franchise quarterback it's going to be far walks and explosions. And i know that we are elements of that particular with the first part the season with the andre coming in but it is not an issue for kingsbury that the expectation levels were sky high. This was going to be a revolutionary offensive genius and hasn't lived up to that.

"Yeah i think. Larry fitzgerald his game. They were already talking about how he was like the focal point of the game. Two games vogel point of the offense two games in the pace hidden teaming in every play it's high law on him pretty cool. What kind of looking back on it. What a cool matchup right. A good example of where the commentators one of the guys. The lisa might experience being covered by one of the guys with the most talkative Girl match up what great commentary. Well just looking back is 'cause like yeah this jailed forever old. I mean tyler was exactly on the back nine of his career. he's the most. Yeah he was well accomplished at that point. So it's just you know when you think about some cool match ups that have transpired over the years you know people have to talk about you. Know what if jordan played against lebron you know like like you know it would have been really cool to see tyler on prime against larry in his prime. They actually got to face off against each other though in this game. And it's and it's pretty cool. It would have been good to have. Larry have a quarterback that could throw to jones. Probably played against tile all the way up to stefan gilmore. Yeah he asked. That's impressive that that is pretty impressive. Man what else. We got a new best and worse anything else in here. Throw out. You know the name bertrand berry was a pro bowler pro bowler for the denver. Broncos pro bowler for the cardinals the only pro bowl for the cardinals. "And for some reason. I don't know what happened off the player whatever it was because the way that they had the view of it was like from the back of the endzone running away from the camera. And all that you see dion branch running back to go catch the guy and all of a sudden one of the patriots offensive. Linemen comes hearing out of like diving from offscreen and just clips dion branch at the knees. And he goes up and over and lands directly on his back and commentators. At this point. I think it was probably steve. Tasker was bullshit about how it was an illegal block completely missing the fact that was his team mate so it was not be a penalty like yeah they call the other penalty. That should be a penalty to until he finally. I think somebody must've told him. Or something at the at the fourth quarter when they were showing it out as the game is wrapping up in the doing highlights. So maybe that this is by no means allowing you know saying that. That's okay from a commentary. Standpoint has someone who's spent time in the press box at sun devil stadium it is really high up there like it is. It is a really tall press box. And i'm sure with technology back two thousand and four the monitors that they were looking at. Were probably the size of you know. Maybe the small screen that we're looking at to see each other. That isn't the main screen. So in the moment. I can see where maybe he could have made that error until seeing the replay but the fact that he stuck with it after seeing the replay should should should ruin the competency of risk stop. Stop trying to reason with andy on. Commentators did well. The problem is the problem. Is i before. I got into the world. I'm in now. How stephen i know each other's in the gulf world i was in the media and broadcasting for about ten and so i worked i worked behind the scenes and part of tv productions and some of those were at sun devil stadium for for a random games. So but but but steve tasker colin. They know the baltimore ravens. The baltimore colts was a was a good one for me right when i heard him say that i was like all this can be great game. This is going to be a good one for the patriots scored their first touchdown halfway through the first quarter they go to steve and his his Pearls of wisdom where arizona's going to have to start throwing the ball to catch up bro. You're down seven point seven nothing in the first quarter. I think you can take game plan. Still yep yep no doubt no doubt very worried about that too but and but you know and and you know maybe maybe danny green hurt him because what josh mccown started throwing it like crazy and through a couple of picks not not long after that josh mccown. That season got a really quick hook. You know for a guy that had such a long. Nfl career with so many teams. You would have thought that with how much any green didn't like the guy that he wouldn't have made it past that season they ended up going to shaun king remember. He played with the tampa. Bay buccaneers for awhile after transfer. Danny green went to shaun king for a majority of that season. Josh mccown got the quick hook. Cardinal career ended in his incredible career with just about every. Nfl team happened. Kind of allah ryan fitzpatrick. Right came from their mccown on this season. We have money jerry joining us because a big area. Zona cardinals fan so proud. He is the big arizona cardinals. The only one i know shocking. Jerry thanks for joining us. Yeah it's a pleasure to kinda step outside of your comfort zone and join. Another teams podcast. This'll be a first for me so excited to get into the weeds and explained to pats nation. That we're not the biggest joke of a franchise that everyone thinks we are. We're in the same divisions the bill. So we we're on your side. Okay thank you should see bills fan right now. They are living their best life because they won the east for the first time in twenty years and they don't know what to do with it. It's fantastic. i'm sure there's a comp to how us in phoenix suns fans about. How just defeated the lakers in the first round of the playoffs. And i'm sure lakers fans are looking at us very similar similarly to how you guys look at bills fan so i kind of empathize a little bit with them. But everyone in boston's happy about that. So sons go. Everybody go everybody else. Yeah all right. So jared just to get an idea of how did you become cardinals fan by clicking on my mind. Yeah well to start. I'm born and raised in phoenix and the cardinals arrived from saint louis. When i was two years old they came to the valley of the son played at sun. Devil stadium my parents big football fans. My mom grew up in chicago so she was We're coming off. A few years past few is ahead of the cardinals come into arizona. We watched the chicago bears in the one of the greatest off seasons ever from a football team and then my dad is from new york but was not giants or jets fan. He had a lot of family in miami.
