A Lively Discussion on Minimum Wage
"Have a call to Connie and want to talk about the minimum wage. I had made mention in the last segment that is not really the minimum wage, it's your budget. Some people need the budget their money better. And stop begging the government to intervene and force unduly burdens on businesses. Because a good business will pay their people a good wage. And if you're a business that don't pay your people, you end up being a business with bad employees and you're not competitive in the market. Now, there are some jobs that people will take that are entry level jobs that pay you dirt poor, a dirt, you know, pay you pretty much nothing. But for you work on their job, and then you move up to a job that pays you more. But what happens is, is that if you force businesses to start going up higher and higher and higher on minimum wage, what it does is it forces low skill workers out of the work market period. People who may not have the skills and this may be what would originally be an entry level job, they're only going to hire people that got either experience or degrees. And now people who are low income ain't going to be able to get these jobs.

You know something that's interesting is that how many people, I mean, I think it's interesting that Elon Musk has been so vocal and his support for Republicans lately. I honestly believe that Elon Musk could actually cause Republicans to have a standing in which they normally don't have on social issues and on social platforms. And I think that that was pretty interesting that Elon Musk said that Elon Musk said he was support Rhonda santurce for president not Donald Trump. Not saying that his words are in all be all. But I think that's very interesting. Think about this for a minute. The richest man in the world are one of the richest men in America. They're not the richest man in the world. Because the guy that has Gucci and Louis and all that, he the richest man because people are so stupid that you give them tax money and all without tax money, but you give them a PVP loans, you give them stimulus checks and they go out and buy a high end fashion with it. Okay, y'all didn't make me jump to another subject. This is why this is why I don't feel bad for people. Who are claiming they don't make enough money and minimum wage needs to be raised. None of your budget need to be fixed.

And make it genuine, like when she rap, you really think she believes the stuff she's saying. She has a talent to do that. You have all these other celebrities and talented black folks that are just far more talented than anybody on Planet Earth. But the lack of education leaves the talented person susceptible to manipulation. Cardi B with as much money and influence she has, how is she not conscious enough? With all of that right music and being deep and doing all this old stuff and philosophical, how does she not know that two plus two is going to be four? Two plus two ain't 5. The Democrats have not done anything that makes any sense for the black community. And you're going out and supporting their side and they have done nothing. "Let's see, let me look at this number here, set side note on my notes here, it says damar has joined the 5% club since about 90 to 95% of those who suffer sudden cardiac arrest outside of the hospital do not survive. And they pretty much have like a little mental hospital. I mean, like a mental hospital, like a little medical hospital out there because they have a lot of people that they need to have ADs there, they have all kinds of stuff. They have professionals there, they could do CPR to understand medicine, you know, understand how cardiac situations happen. They have a bunch of professionals out there. And so his best chance of surviving an incident like that was going to be being on the football field of Monday Night Football.

"Midterm results continue to come in and of course one question is why are they coming in so late? The New York Times keeps talking about technical glitches and Republicans are calling into question these elections and to my knowledge, no one has actually said that the elections of fraudulent, the 2022 elections, but there are lots of there's lots of frustration, law, why does this happen only in swing states? Why is it taking so long to count a relatively small number of votes? How come other countries do it so much more quickly? So yeah, my cousin, Venezuelan cousin, is like wondering, hey, guys, what's going on? I mean, you know, third world country can do it faster. What are you doing? What's going on? What's going on? Two big results that did come out. One is that Blake masters lost in Arizona. That's a disappointment I was hoping that masters would make it master's campaign kind of together would carry Lake and holiday. They were kind of campaigning as a team, but of course what happens is you got to realize that even if they're campaigning as a team, they're not going to be judged as a team. People are going to judge masters against Mark Kelly and this guy is very chameleonic, very clever, and playing the astronaut car. You always thought he said that. And also the other cardi plays very well is his wife, congresswoman Gabby, is that yeah, yeah. Yeah. So, you know, she was shot ten years ago, 11 years ago. And so he plays, he plays that card really well. The combination. The combination of gun violence and all those things. So I knew that he wanted to go to Washington to kind of hammer at the gun control issue. On a happier note for us, in Nevada, a big result, Joe lombardo running in the governor's race, knocks out the incumbents. Yeah, and he's like so cute. He's like this old sheriff guy, you know? It's like I loved his I love this campaign come up with a sister I kept announcing and saying he's ineffective and so on and but so I can give him a speech basically saying that sheriff and the country is right here Joe lombardo stand up Joe. Details on the RNC's Complaint Against Google
"RNC, the Republican National Committee, just filed a complaint with the federal elections commission. And they're alleging that Google is suppressing the GOP vote or trying to suppress the GOP vote in November by sending millions of Republican election emails to recipients, spam folders. Let me run through the numbers here because according to RNC officials over 22 million emails were sent in the last three days of September, and they were spam, according to the RNC by Google. In fact, they say over 3.1 million were spammed on September 28 over 9.8 million on September 29th, nearly 10 million on September 30th. They put forward some evidence that cardi emails that had once gone to the strong inbox delivery. That was like 90 to a 100% of them went down to 0% by the time the month had ended. I mean, wow, right? That's scary stuff because that would suggest that we don't have the freedom of speech that we think we do. You have a company, in this case, Google, that doesn't like the Republican Party, and thus anything associated with the Republican Party is effectively treated as junk, treated as spam. That's a problem.

Or I don't understand what you're asking. So I again, I'm not sure what the strategy was there. If there was any, because I think this is a case of where she probably felt like I'm not going to settle. You know, I'm going to put out my content and be completely unapologetic about it and also I think maybe this attorney felt like, well, malice is a high bar. A hundred feet over that bar. Yeah. Which, again, I don't know if this has to do with the fact that this attorney because I have consulted on defamation cases before. The standard is malice or reckless disregard of a truth, which clearly and I mean in that video that she had uploaded during the litigation. She checked those boxes off. I mean, if that was a law school exam it'd be too easy. So malice is actually it's not that it's impossible. It's just harder. Right. It is a major can't be reached to go back to the introduction here. So it's still very true that this is a high bar. It's just this person's astronaut. The Olympic pole altar. It also explains and I apologize for what's now an unfair question. Let me unpack it a little bit. The actual malice standard that you're talking about, I know you know this Morgan, I'm explaining it for the is knowing falsity, right? It doesn't mean I hate you. It means I know this is false and I'm saying it anyway, which the law then implies the law says, yes, from that we will infer that you must hate a person in order to intentionally spread falsehoods about them. Yep, but I did want to talk about Cardi B's testimony, which Cardi B is a legal genius. Let me just say. Legal genius. Counter argument, even I could have won this case. But I think she did a good job of explaining, you know, because you see a celebrity in court and suing for all this money, and I can see where that would be kind of hard for somebody, right? You know, why should I write you out a check for a $1 million or Cardi B? Come on, or even I could see where possibly people would say, oh, well, it's just, you know, criticism, your celebrity, get over it, you know, kind of thing. Right. I think that she did a really great job of explaining, okay, what is Cardi B all about? Because again, these jurors don't, they're not fans of hers. Why would it be offensive to label her with these kinds of allegations and how it affected her? So she explained how she her backstory, how she grew up poor in The Bronx, and she was working at a grocery store, but it was suggested by a friend that she auditioned at a strip club, she got the job, and then she made more money in one night than she would make 5 days at the grocery store. So she used that money to further her actual passion, which was her music. And she also was able to really connect to how these defamatory statements affected her and what she did as soon as she became aware of them, which is what she reached out to Tasha K actually in a private message. And Tasha Kay admits to all of this and told her, hey, this stuff is fault. I don't know this woman. Yes, she works at the same club I worked at, but I don't know this woman. In Soto K said, oh, why don't you come on my show and discuss it? Yeah. And she said, no, I'm not doing that..

And also they actually dismissed out a juror who said he didn't like rap music at all and hated it because I thought, you know, he might be a little bit more prejudicial towards Cardi B so they were very careful in this jury selection, so I don't think anything like that's going to come up. But could you have been like, yes, I hate rap music, but I also hate YouTubers, so you know? Evens out. I think they would, I think they would be dismissed probably anyway, but as you'll see, there were some other interesting things that happened with this jury. But let's talk about Tasha Kay on the stand. I imagined y'all probably do not think it went well. And it didn't. So as much as a trial and especially pre trial, you know, before you get to that point, is very much about the law. This is also, I think, of story about likeability and how much good witnesses can really impact your case. She did not have a good time on the stand because as I said, you know, there's some jury things here. So one of the jurors actually had to be excused because she commented negatively in the juror room about a profanity written video that they played of Tasha Kay, where she's drinking wine in her video during the day, yelling at her kid who's in the next room doing schoolwork remotely and she's using this profane language and there's a child, you know, in the next room doing, I guess for zoom homework. And the juror was commenting on how horrible that was in the juror room. And so that juror did get excused and judge ray explained to the jury and everybody, it has nothing to do with, you know, your feelings about that or are you feeling one type of way about the case or bad evidence or that person at that point? How he feels how you feel once you're viewing the evidence. Maybe this information isn't available right, obviously you're cobbling together from various sources. But I'm a little curious as to how that unfolded, right? How number one, that the video got played in the first place? Number two, how the judge was aware of what was going on in the jury box. Yes, so if they're playing this video as evidence. So Cardi B's team would often play snippets because they're trying to get the point across. You know, these are the claims upon which we are suing. Tasha Kay's defense team. I think they probably have the strategy of maybe it'll look better in context because what else could we do? So they just played the whole thing. And so that's how these videos were. I see. You can evidence. When you first were describing it, I thought they just picked some other video in which Tasha K is yelling at her kids, and I'm sitting there thinking, well, that seems to be impermissible character evidence. I wonder how they got it in, but you were saying it was all part of the 5th or one of the defamatory Cardi B videos, and it was actually Tasha case team that said, no, well, you gotta see the whole context. The whole ad more context is the part where she yells at her kid or whatever. Oh God. So do I have that right? Yes, and now I'm not sure which side was playing that part of the video. Necessarily but I do know about Tasha K's defense team from what I was saying from somebody that was in the courtroom. They were saying, I don't know that it was a good idea for him to play the videos in the entirety, but also, you know, what else are you going to do? And they think that really backfired. But yes, how the judge found out was another juror ended up sending a note to the judge. Yeah. Informing him. And that's when she was excused. And they're almost was another dismissal because one of the jurors actually was having COVID-19 symptoms. And the judge pulled everybody individually and because this person was vaccinated and asked, you know, are you comfortable with continuing and everybody said yes, because basically they were almost done. So yeah, this is not a great sign, though, because you have a juror who's obviously disgusted with his behavior to the point where she's publicly comment. You know, she's commenting in the jury room which shows she had to know everybody else was feeling that type of way as well. Because the people who remain on the jury are the ones who were smart enough not to say. Yes, until the end, but she was saying things on the stand and they were playing these snippets of videos. Tell me she yelled at her kid from the stand while trying to do the homework and the dollar. You know, I would not be shocked at this point. That didn't happen..
