So that being said, marvel used to have their whole Netflix universe and everything like that, right? So now that they're doing Disney+ and the refocusing their efforts on new TV shows, I do have to give them props because they're new thing is good. Their new TV shows are consistently good. Now let's go through them. We'll get into it. Okay. Because I don't think they're great. I think they are good, but I don't think they're great. Most people would disagree with you. Yeah. I think The Avengers movies, Avengers one, and Avengers affinity Warren endgame, big swings. I think of edges too, is safe, so it's mediocre. I think the man movies are good. So they're a little mediocre. I think, you know, the newest Spider-Man. I think it's a big swing, so I think it's very good, you know? I think Black Panther, I thought that was a big swing overall. So I think that was pretty good, you know? Captain Marvel? No swings at all. The worst movie I think in the whole entire franchise. I don't think it's the worst one. But it is. So for most people they would go was going to be marvelous D.C., its viz. It was all the manga and like by tenfold by ten times that when you go into borders, Barnes and noble I guess borders is now gone. You don't mean like books a million. There's a section of all various different publishers for comic books and there's a whole isle of melted. And they've been going for a long time. They're very, very popular, it's as adult reading as child reading over their in Japan and the Asian countries in general, it's just amazing and the there's great series. There's great heroes about which I just don't know enough. It's never been to my taste whatever that style of artwork or those kinds of themes I was so much into American kind of books that I continually kind of comparative and said, I like this better. But man if I wanted to immerse myself, I got the rest of my life reading all the things and say, so what are the top hundred series that I could read, and there really are a hundred grade series? Ten and 20 and 50 and a hundred were great characters, great future histories, great historical retellings, I read lone wolf and cover of red certain things because they kind of leaked into the first things imported. And some of my really liked and some that were like, man, this issue 30 is kind of like issue number one. They're going at soap opera pace where there's just not enough happening and changing over the course of time and their losing my interest, and I don't usually feel that from comic books. But for whatever reason, I did feel that from any number of manga that I tried out. So they're making big wow. They're making a live action cowboy bebop. Which I'm excited about, because I like that show. It was a show, which I liked. So I'm excited about that. Early mongoose anime, you know what I mean? "Like I call them. I completely get the criticisms on the combat looking amazing, but I just want to laugh at the gardens of the galaxy. And I feel like the writing goes really good on the trailer, so I'm pretty confident. Well, I volunteer you to review the game. For this one. But back to midnight suns. I love the roster of choice. I think it's a really good blend of characters. Like with your obviously they've done like the Staples, right? They've done like the ones you have to have for MCU recognition at this point. Like Iron Man and cap and Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel. But then the rest of the team are Wolverine blades goes right at magic. I think it's really good. I like it a lot. I think obviously we don't know what's really expected yet, but I think that team and obviously then your own custom character as well. I think that powers could work really well in the tactical RPG sense like if you think your top down turn based stuff like because you've got a good blend there. Of a different move sets, I suppose, with Wolverine and blade and ghost rider being a close up and potentially cap as well. And then I have an Ironman docs range Captain Marvel kind of hit him from a distance and I'm really looking forward to see how that all blends together. I'm thinking the best reference point I have for this is Mario rabbits. So that was a very similar as well. It was that I did see a movie this year in the theater. It was 1917. And that movies on cable now But I think I may have watched part of it again on cable. But CNBC says with just a few days before the end of the year, the impact of the Corona virus pandemic on the film industry is clear and devastating. Ticket sales crumpled 80%. 80% to 2.8 billion, a far cry From the second best box office hall of 11.4 Billion in 2019. So you go from 11 4.4 billion in 2019 to 2.28. In 2020. Absolutely unbelievable. You started off strong. Ah, making more than 900 million in January. 10% increase compared with the same month a year before. There were movies and I don't remember any of these movies. From back in January. Jumanji the next level Never saw it. Star Wars. The rise of Skywalker. Never saw that one. Um, those were some of the releases in January. It says February topped 651 million and ticket sales. That was a 4% increase over 2019. And then in March, things started to what shut down and locked down. Not Great Decisions made on the licensing front of Marvel versus Capcom Infinite for example, where it was very clear that marvel had a heavy hand in what characters are chosen not chosen like having no X. Men in that game is just San. Right, that's the thing is there's definitely wild model has only been interested can use it to mock it the MC you otherwise, we don't really care like. You don't want. We don't want to get it. If it's one of the properties that like show, we can put the X. men in a game, but someone else owns the film tonight. "But first let's talk about what is dumped ury in your mind. It's the time when the bad movies come out. Yes well see now. Historically that is January and February but as we get older and movies get arguably worse. Dump ury exists across many months. It's true there are a couple seasons. There is the January February and then traditionally it was August was another truly. I don't know what the Portmanteau is for bad movies and August a Gar- bug St- okay. Great Okay Congratulations. But now people have seen that August is a time to maybe release an interesting movie and so the bad movies sometimes come out in June last year it was actually may and sometimes it correspond to the quality of the movie and sometimes it corresponds to just like box office totals and when people feel like going to the movies but there is it traditional understanding that if a movie is scheduled for late. January or early February and it's not like a seam movie if it's not like a romance for Valentine's Day or I guess there's usually some horror counter programming for Valentine's Day but if it's just a movie that's coming out in the first quarter there's a reason especially if it seems like a big movie if it seems like a big noisy tentpole movie that you've been hearing about for a long time and it arrives in February that means it's been hunted to February more than likely now the the movie calendars changed a lot like the first two to three weeks of October. Is now this really important corridor? Where movies like joker in a star is born. Go into in there with the expectation. They can be big hits. That wasn't true ten years ago so the calendar is always evolving. And we've had some good February's in the past February I believe is when get out was released so it's not like there aren't great movies potentially released into this period but the other thing that is going on here is that we have a truncated. Oscar season so normally on this show. At this time on this date we would be doing predictions. Yeah you know it would be if we were leaning into this weekend coming forward but with Oscar being moved up. We've got this vast open window before whatever. The next movie is which is a bit later this year. Also in the past few years there had been mc you creep and that started in April and then even Marta. I think Captain Marvel was March last. I think you're right so it's a real vacuum it really is. And that's the other thing one other version of ury which is all of the movies surrounding the biggest movie of the year. So if you look at the release schedule last year around the time of vendors and game not super great and if you were forced to make say podcast episodes about movies around that time and not talk about endgame. You'd a tough time.

"It interesting year for of the world of entertainment and in terms of the movie screen to get to this explosion of Netflix and all these other different platforms you don't have to go to the big movie theater unless you want the full immersive experience and I always suggest you also get some cookies because as the time of the year but just I think the wives with you enjoy the experience but made international especially China will than that with the whole trade the issues going back and forth the editing of certain films so what's going on here is this eventually the demise of the traditional box office expectations in the traditional theaters another been saying that for years with new technology well it it's being yeah it's shrinking kind of traditional movie other than the big franchise brand box office because even though the box office has gone down for the fifth time this decade it's down a record number and the executives and the Hollywood met and many of them I work with they are living in a kind of a denial world I I they know that if these two technological things are you spoke about the fact that you can have a very powerful home theater experience now you know with everybody has a big screen high definition television you're bringing some robots was a I they could pretend like they're part of the crowd you know they can make noise going on cell phones whatever you like yeah but usually because Disney bought Lucasfilm and marble and they have all the biggest intellectual property ownership concept movies they took eighty percent of the top ten so the top ten films of the year eight out of the ten from Disney that's a record Disney also took in ten billion dollars worldwide in their film box office which is also a record but at the same time the box office is down the number of people go to the movies is down and I think it's not just because of the technology I think it's because of the contact and I think what it is is that there's these old concepts things like story characters people long for in his words of Martin Scorsese got highly criticized for speaking out against Marvel superhero movies but there there are more of like a thrill ride in many cases than they are white the kind of story telling that Hollywood became famous for and so because of that you know like the number one movie by actually number one movie of the year and of all time is the ventures and gag which is always the classic not that it's it's a bad movie I mean it's an entertaining movie buddy it's it's all action special effects sci fi superhero fantasy type thing and the others get in the top ten there's captain Marvel there's spider man far from home with the Star Wars the latest Star Wars wars installment the risers creek sky worker these are all from the same bill during it yet all marble or Lucasfilm in there these kinds of movies many of course you have sequels like Toy Story four and frozen was it the golden read books and we're gonna get more and more is that all is well yeah but some of that you get to the new generations and its radio Disney used to do as a by the way for the tuning in talking James person Jim person dot com is my second house over a pop culture among other things but you know Disney had a formula for years back to real DHS and everything else stay AT and into the theaters before that alone every seven years or so they would release like Snow White or something and then they'd go back into the vault and the they keep capturing new generations was masterful now one of the big deals this year's Disney plus the debt is just phenomenal with with what's there you don't really need a lot of other things but it's it's it's all available now so that's another example of how quickly the staff changes your inner exactly what you're talking about by the way for new generations of a new iteration was the remake it with live action The Lion King which was the number two movie any captured a whole new generation of of movie that had captured a previous generation so yeah Disney has the intellectual property so that when they launch their streaming service Disney plus they did something that a lot of people in Hollywood one really freaked out about and then they had a a movie starring Anna Kendrick cold no well it was never released in any it went direct to streaming we haven't even heard that concept direct just dreaming twenty one Disney does it then the people in the industry say oh my gosh this is a trend in the Irish men bad movie that's generating all the on her because of her the foreman should Martin Scorsese unfortunately it has that crazy man Robert De Niro at that but he's consistent and you got a treatment because his movie the molar report on ice the musical didn't do well this year so what is so loved that concept I really do I really do and I I would have given them the Laurie yeah I would go see that if Robert Muller was ice skating I would go see it for sure but but this one it went there was a lady and the tramp remake Disney which and that way director strict streaming I was mentioning the Irishman and there's another movie called marriage is story these are both Oscar bait movies after only one month they went streaming so there could be a new trend in that's good that caters to people that create their own entertainment peered at home and but the only thing is I mean I anecdotally I mean I have friends an average six myself I remember you know we were when we just had cable and all of a sudden we had out hundreds of cable channels and sitting there and I couldn't find anything to watch on cable channel and now people experience that they say oh I'm going through the cable channels I'm going through Netflix I don't see anything I want to watch so I'm gonna watch it's a wonderful life for the eighteen hi so that means there's a vacuum out there for I guess what we would call traditional entertainment and maybe family friendly which is by the way in the end that's where Hollywood makes most of its money because all the top ten films are pretty much the you know there there's no all over you friendly films at the most there's a P. G. thirteen type superhero films that have some action scenes chill Hollywood makes its money with family friendly films and then they attack families with the awards speaking of

When you open open up the app which i did in the sneak peak that they gave me you see this different sections again disney marvel smart star wars it cetera. They're doing original productions since they're doing new star wars movies. They're doing jeff goldblum comedy reality show. They're doing new episodes of the muppets bear doing a new high school musical musical series. They got a lot of stuff going on. I think it's gonna be a no brainer. <hes> i can see so many he people signing up for disney has said this is the biggest project that they've been working on over the last thirty years. The only concern among consumers is if you're an amazon customer and you have the fire tv stick or any of the fire tv products. You will not be able to get disney plus because right now. Disney does not have a deal with amazon zahn has deals with broke coup and apple to get the channel onto those devices amazon is a big one amazon is either number one in streaming or it's roku depending on which market researcher you want to believe but it's huge my bet. Despite box office domination, Disney's earnings disappoint
"I'm kim masters and this is the hollywood breakdown joining me as bellany of the hollywood reporter and matt <hes> this past week disney reported its earnings and they were disappointing disappointing despite disney having basically devoured the box office with ventures game in captain marvel and toy story foreign hit after hit lion king in the future <hes> their stock took a little shot and the reason according to chairman bob eiger and was that twenty th century fox they acquired the company and fox fox has left a couple of duds in the pipeline that really hurt of disney's bottom line. You're not just a couple of duds but he really took aim at the entire fox fox film studio strategy. He basically said that the new management disney was going to rectify some of the problems that imply quote discipline to the movie making process. I mean you look back. This is the first quarter that the fox assets were being counted against disney earnings and judging from what whatever said it seemed to surprise them how much trouble the film division was in and he cited dark phoenix. He started a couple of other big pricey bombs that were left them now. Obviously this is in his interest to do you know they had an earnings miss so you've gotta explain it somehow and it was very convenient for him to be able to point a finger at this company money that they absorbed but it does ring true if you look at some of the box office performance of these films in the fox studio had kind of been in this middling you know they had a couple of franchises but not those billion dollar franchises and they had pricey mrs dark phoenix and x. men movie that didn't do much at the box office. That was very pricey a._c. Miss i tried to walk a line sort of saying that we're taking over in. It's all going to be good now. We're redefining fox's film strategy and meanwhile meanwhile i'm not blaming anybody because it was hard for them. Over there you know there was all this talk for months and months and months about a takeover and maybe they took their eye off the ball was the implication kevin however you know if you're emma watts the one upper level fox film executive to survive this because the chairman of the fox studio stacey snider didn't make the move to disney disney. You gotta be feeling a little bit like there's a bullseye painted on you although he eicher did say <hes> you know i'm not blaming any individual yeah. I don't see how you feel comfortable and you know there. Is this question now. What is fox. It's a pared down version of itself. They're gonna make up. Maybe a ten movies but half of those are supposed to be for the streaming service. I am not quite clear yet. Who's in charge of what <hes> i. It's just been a pretty rough ride. Yeah fox's now illegal under disney just like marvel just like pixar lucasfilm and it's going to be treated as such but let's talk about a different topic here at disney which is wasn't just fox that dragged them down. They we are spending like crazy to launch the streaming service that it's going to go live later this year. Call disney plus and it's going to be the future of the company. They're trying to compete with netflixing. It's not just the disney library stuff all the children's movies and the marvel movies that are gonna go to disney plus. It's going to be new stuff stuff like a star wars series stuff like marvel original series and that's costing them a lot of money and they're not seeing any benefit to that and i talked about this in the past that the disney board is on board for his strategy which is to spend big now an end some of these lucrative licensing deals to own the direct to consumer experience and compete in the streaming world and that's gonna cost money and it's going to drag down earnings for a while yeah i mean at the idea is short term pain for long-term gain which of course leads to the perennial question. What what's it's going to happen with. Netflixing is going to really hurt net flicks. We're seeing signs of that already and we are watching an industry transform before our eyes. Marvel's Phase 4 Announcements at Comic-Con
"So Marvel studios has a lot of new movies in the future and it looks like the focus is not on the ensemble cast but the spin offs of the hero characters yeah so do what they announces phase for up until now we've seen phase one two and three days three and did well technically it ended with a loss spider man movie but really it ended with Avengers and game that was the end of stage three there ten years of films bringing us these characters bill inter connecting them all getting the Avengers together and then doing all that so now we're in a post Avengers world now they're going to focus on for the next two years at least we're gonna have he characters we know and we know from the Avengers movies in that have their own franchises before so this give me that Thor movie there's going to be another doctor strange movie but there's also going to be finally a Black Widow movie that Scarlett Johannson that's her character who's been a lot of people have wondered well what about the women you know we we do yes we had a captain Marvel movie earlier this year but it took ten years to get even that and Black Widow Scarlett Johannson has been a part of the Avengers for for years now so she's probably getting her own movie that'll be next may but they're also a year I mean you're right there there's going to be more even more spin offs and and kind of branching off happening and that's gonna happen more interestingly in the streaming world on Disney plus which isn't even out yet today announced a whole bunch of new projects for Disney plus big name stuff the Jeremy Renner with Hawkeye and a bunch of other characters that we've known from the Avengers there's gonna have TV shows and that's going to really ramp up to streaming wars WBZ's Laurie Kirby speaking with A. "This first story is about dark Phoenix. And last summer, we learned the dark Phoenix was going back to Montreal for re-shoots. But sources told us at that time that contrary to reports a whopping three months of additional photography. That's a lot right there. They were simply going back for two and a half weeks of re-shoots on the third act of the movie. However, now we're finding out that, that might not. Have been the case in April. We found out the dark Knicks, the dark Phoenix ending was being changed in re-shoots from a space setting to a climax that finds the X men kidnapped and on a military train. Now, we've got James McEvoy telling Yahoo UK that the ending was changed because it was too similar to another superhero. Movie, here's the exact quote the end of dark v. Necks changed a hell of a lot the finale head to change. There was a lot of overlap and parallels with another superhero movie that came out a while ago. And we had no idea that we were dot dot dot com. Trailed off their you know the quote just ended. So let's jump into this, but before I even ask for your opinions, we gotta check the live chat, because there are a lot of people chiming in on whether or not they're planning on even seeing dark, Phoenix. David Jordan, Darrow says got my tickets already reviews. Don't stop me from seeing any DC or marvel movie has called for twenty said got mine. I ten minutes they went on sale. Sale. Kyle Johnson says I'll probably get my tickets next week going in cautiously optimistic. So back to that, quote now what movie do you think James McEvoy was referring to is pretty obvious was captain marvel especially when we talk about the difference in design of dark Phoenix, Jean grey taking away, making less flamy more different in that approach? So it seems to imply plus the train sequence we saw in captain marvel we have that in the trailers, and of course in the movie as well. So maybe there was a lot of that involved here as well. Trying to take away any kind of reference to cap the most he was the most obvious choice. Yeah. Especially when you consider the change in the setting of the third act to from cosmic to on a military train moving away from the cosmic aspect, and that's the thing that before Jeff Thompson here. I don't know if I buy this explanation to be honest with you have a couple of sources who saw this movie early cuts move in March of twenty eighteen and they tell me that the ending was already on earth. So I don't know if this is their way of. Hey, we pitched you space movie, but we had to change it because of that. And so now it's on the ground, I wonder if they're doing a little PR to cover their butts. I don't know. But it seems odd to me that they would say, oh, we're just gonna put it on the ground. Now. We don't want it to be Spacey when people had seen in the first an early cut of this film, and it was already on the ground in front of a certain monument in New York. So I dunno. I thought it was aqua man now there it is. Yeah. I you know, are you signing that sarcastic? It's nice. I don't know what the original ending was. I don't know what the new ending is other than it's on a train. I have no idea what movie could. All right. So even though we don't know specifically how dark Phoenix is going to end nor should we really right now before we even see the movie another question that comes from the story is should a movie even be changed for this reason. Because to me, it sounds like oh, hey. Maybe they should have taken a little more time to develop the story creatively so that you don't run the risk of having. Other movies out there being too similar to your own. That's a good point. Yeah. I don't know. I feel like we saw two different asteroid movies, we've seen to differ Truman Capote moves. It doesn't matter. It's about quality. Can you deliver the goods, even though the you may vote another movie? I don't think it really matters. It's a matters. Can you do it? Well, that's what as at the end of the day, a lot of movies have seen that feel similar to other movies, but they do a distinctly different and make it work with the organic structure of their movie. So I, I don't think it's a way to change things. Dark Phoenix was originally slated to come out before captain marvel anyway, right? So it's like they kind of had they beat captain marvel tha that ending. So why did they switch you know they don't think it's train. Yeah. Something, something doesn't add up to me. And this goes back to Jeff Snyder, the reporters number one rule for being a reporter, which is don't believe anything in actor tells you don't know anything. Well. To be fair. There's there's no to being there to James McEvoy. Things that were debating right now, whether or not their true aren't the specific things that James McEvoy pointed out and said the finale had to change. He was in saying, you know, we changed it from the cosmic thing to the, the trains. Right to stick to maga- voice, quote. I am of the mind that if it is, too similar than than. Yeah. I'm okay with a change. I'm okay with them thinking we have to change this differentiate ourselves in distinguish ourselves in the marketplace, particularly not being a movie that's going to do as well as captain marvel. If that is, in fact, the movie that we're talking about here. So I'm I am sensitive to those creative issues and I don't blame Kimber for wanting to go back and tinker with it. But yeah, I'm with you John, that a lot of this. This is just so much PR on the entire X men franchise, including the next film, which we'll talk about soon, which I don't really fault them at because this is a lame duck superhero film, none of these actors are going to come back and play these characters again, in the MC you Disney and Disney marvel trying to recoup as much as they can from this film. So they're doing this PR pushing I wouldn't put it past someone like McEvoy or fast bender to, like, okay, I'm going to speak about. These are the points. We'd like goes to hit. Okay. I'll do it as part of the PR programs. Part of promoting the movie. No prob. Problem. But I don't fault them. They want to make as much as possible gonna talk about new means a little bit. Same thing. They're just on recoup as much possible for they move on. I got. No. I don't fault them. I just wish I just think people can see through this.

Avengers: Endgame Has Overwhelmed Hollywood. Is That OK?
"Sean fantasy editor in chief of the ringer. And this is the big picture a conversation show about the end of moviegoing culture, as we know. It just kidding vendors. Endgame ruled and is better than game of thrones. I'm here with Chris Ryan and Amanda Davin. Getting the Friskies we're going to talk a little bit about avengers and not game. Thrones. If you wanna listen to stuff about game of thrones. I encourage you to listen to Chris on the watch. Maybe you can catch up on the thrones. Which aired last night. Maybe you can check out Benjamin later this week in here all about the battle of winter fell in whether it worked or did not work. There are some dissension in the ranks here at the ringer today. We're talking MC you not just the movie itself. But also the box office implications, and what the aftermath of that means for summer movies. We're doing a little summer movie preview man, and I'll be chatting about it. But I I thought that you guys are the perfect pair to chat with after doing a deep dive with Mallory Ruben because Amanda, you're on the record is not being the biggest superhero movie fan in the world. But also someone who sees these films out of obligation and has developed a lot of feelings about them. And Chris, I tend to think you're the most you're the person who I'm most eager to hear what he thought about these moves every time you see. I'm right here. It's not that respect your opinion. Amanda, I think it's very valuable, but you're operating from a base level of not. So sure about this, Chris I. I think he if he can really go positive or negative. Sure. So I'm time. I'm wondering what you guys thought. Like, I'm a newborn baby every time I enter a movie. Yes. But sort like Benjamin button this baby. Did you cry? Speaking of a game. I did not cry. Okay mandate. Did you right now? I didn't staunching. So I cried because I feel right? And so. Chris what'd you think? I had like a feelings wave when Peter Parker and Tony stark reunited at the end of the movie, I just felt like entirely a piece, which I think is ultimately what they wanted you to feel which is that I was entirely a piece with the endeavor, I felt fine. And okay about the amount of time. I've spent thinking about this these movies and seeing these movies over the years, I think is really telling listen to you and Mallory talk about it because being a little bit older. I think that I don't quite have like deep passionate connection to it. It's not like a real maker break franchise for me in the way, some some others are, but at the end of the day, I felt like you guys pulled it off. You get you made it emotionally satisfying finales to what was pretty unprecedented endeavor in movie making history, and they made it work Mana. Yeah. I thought it was a fitting conclusion to this experiment for better. And for worse in some ways. It it certainly there was a little bit of everything for everyone, including. Me. I mean, the last show I was delighted I wouldn't say I was like crying or deeply moved. But it's very excited to see Hayley Atwell back into seek cap. I frankly old cap be very happy. And also, I thought pretty handsome for like a really old guy. It'll head ahead. And then yeah, that's true. They didn't age the hair. And I thought that nice. I thought the last shot was very sweet and was kind of going back to many of the themes that we talked about in our podcast about captain America the first venture. And some of the things that I felt the MC you had abandoned. And so I felt seen in that moment, which is not something that I often feel in these movies, it took three hours and a lot of garbage CGI to get there. So, you know, and, but I think other people delighted that we're delighted by that. And so again, there is something for almost everyone in these movies. And that's kind of what the experiment was about. Right. Yeah. Definitely. And you know, in the Morville months years that we did on the show in a you. And I talked about captain America. The first of. Injure. Chris unite talked about the avengers both of the things the key talking points that we talked about in those podcasts really rose to the surface on this one. You know in your in your case, it was how halio wells the most important person in the MC. You Chris for you. It was quite literally that Tony stark is the most important person, the AFC, this was a genuine sendoff. Yeah. I don't I don't think we'll be seeing Tony again. And it was interesting the way that they built him into the not just the centerpiece of the story, not just the emotional center of the story. But like the engine of the story, and I think when we talked a few weeks ago, you were saying that you're not so sure that they're going to be able to do this as actively without him. I think they're staring to an abyss. And I think they might dive in and the this is called Disney. Plus, you know, I think that the the way that we're going to be talking about these movies in ten years United texting over the weekend. And I was like, oh, should I read this comic line to kinda see where it's going or read the story line? And you basically were like here's what's going to happen in in ten years. We'll be talking about this so called to be friends with Sean. No, I think he sent the text and there are some. These are anti spoilers over here. Also. But he's like, I he sends tech. Sometimes I'm just saying we're gonna join but this. This one was like, wow. That sounds incredibly plausible. And it would take about ten years to get. You know what I mean? And but for me, you lose stark, you probably you're gonna lose Evans unless they graduate Evans too kindly, uncle who shows up somehow in some of the other movies. And I think they're going to take the characters that were remaining with the exception of Black Panther, captain marvel in the guardians. A lot of them are going to move to streaming a lot like Sebastian STAN, anti Mackie. They're going to streaming LOKI streaming Wanda envision explicable or going to streaming. So like a lot of these characters are now going to be on these little five episode little mini runs. And I think that they have a charm problem. Now, I think that there is going to be a little bit of a like we need to work to like build up some of these people again, and that will probably come with the characters that you were talking about. But it's gonna take them a few years to develop those projects, you're there's two ways to do that. I think it's evident to me. And I guess we'll see when Spiderman far from home comes out. But they do have a centerpiece in Tom, Holland that was the loudest cheer. I heard both times. I saw the movie that was the person that people were most emotionally connected to and that is the legacy of Downie Downey made that character very meaningful to a lot of people. You know, they they created that father son dynamic, so I could see that effectively being the new iron man of the series. The other stuff is is a little bit up in the air. You know, it's like I feel like the one thing we can kind of all agree on is that they really just handled Chris Hemsworth beautifully over the last five years. They've just figured out how to make him a trueblue movie star. Amanda, we'll talk a little bit about her enthusiasm for men in black international. Maybe later on this podcast but

"The. Tonight, and Roger Chang as I Mike sarin Tino. So vendors endgame staters tomorrow night. But I as Mike, and I had a chance to see early the movie poised to be probably the biggest opening weekend of all time with maybe a billion dollars. The question is is a worth it. And let's let's not get spoiler is built is worth three to. Yes. The done. We say more you go. Sure this been ten years or eleven years, storytelling. Yep. This thing is setting up the end of the first set of ten years, and we're setting up the next ten years. I think is it's a lot. There's a lot of service. It's awesome fitting, and it's it's three hours and for some reason does not drag. Yeah, that's what I found really impressive about. This thing was that it had a lot of master serve. Right. It had the basically pay off law. The loose ends from eleven years, storytelling. There are tons of characters involved tons and really set things up for the next ten years, and it actually kinda succeeded in doing all that it was like you said it was very satisfying conclusion, I retelling both of you to when we began I expected to just leave to go the bathroom because of the three hour length. So I was like, hey, just tell me what I'm gonna miss because I'm doing the review, but we never left. I don't even think anyone theater. By no one left. Everyone was stuck to their seats. The riveted the entire time. Ultimately, though, if you're not a hardcore fan. Are you going to appreciate this movie is this for you? I think as a spectacle it could be enjoyable if you just want to watch some dumb action over the care of the characters are, right. But if you did the investment of the ten years or even like half of that or some of the characters you're gonna have a huge payoff everything. So I think a casual movie goer will go that was that was incredibly insane. Right. Be like, it's all three hours. Why am I paying attention? Right. But I think it's going to hit both audiences. We had differing opinions about which movies, in my opinion, you only really need Infinity war and maybe watching captain Marvel's mid credit scene. But other people feel different things. There's deathly lots and lots of tips if you've watched substantially more than that, of course for me. It's really if you've watched the movies at the Russell brothers who directed this film, the ones that they've been apart of I think that's sort of good roadmap for there are some other definitely call box other things it really they're allowed deep cuts in there. But can't wait for everyone to see. It said it opens up Thursday night tomorrow night. Next up to galaxy full launch has been delayed to some unknown future date at this point. But we do have our review up. It's sort of a review of what is now the pre production unit, but Jessica door court bottom line says that is a fascinating piece of technology with folding gimmick that really wows you, but definitely show signs at of first generation product that needs a lot of polish what the review this morning. The explain how it's a premium priced product. But it doesn't feel premium because the apps and everything don't work just quite right yet as it's the beginning of this kind of style. It's gonna take a long time for developers to figure out how to automatically have the apps wit from the front to the back back to the front or inside outside that kind of situation and the intuitive -ness of how do multi-tasking on device like this because it's essentially, Android tablet, and that doesn't have a lot of. Foothold right in. Marketplace reminds me of the red phones red hydrogen phone's launch very expensive, very high end concept idea, but not for everyone, but it was confusing. His Samsung was marketing this sort of as a luxury device. More people not really as a developer sort of kind of is. That's what it is. Right. Developer device it it's a testbed device. Four foldable for broader foldable phone market. So I'm hoping that the issues here don't Cretaceous that that broader because right now, we don't need foldable phones, we can just fine without them. But I think the fact that this opens the door to so many different kinds of devices. What's the most exciting part for me? It's morally storage seen it. I'm a my as actor and Mike serpentine. Thanks.
