So for now is more than two hundred forty four thousand dollars the previous single day record was seventy seven thousand dollars which is set by Roger Craig back in two thousand and ten of the skybridge the single day jeopardy record with one hundred ten thousand nine hundred and fourteen dollars. He's already being compared to Ken Jennings. Another guy had that incredible run jeopardy. So we'll see if he's an iron man like Ken Jennings was when commuters are on their way to Dublin Ireland when they spotted a dog riding the train alone. They let Irish rail staff know about it workers couldn't find the little dogs owner around. So they took him in nicknamed him Hamid. And they posted about the found pup on social media asked me if anybody lost their dog and Hamid story went viral as people join forces to help find his rightful owner, I guess just a pup while the social media. Search was. On his family Irish rail staff, they brought him to my lovely horse rescue where he chilled out any waited. And soon the power of social media work, positively I might add Breyer in his family was reunited with the dog whose name is actually Tyson by the way, I kind of like ham better than Tyson. Personally. I wouldn't they messed the dog's head up to were call it at ham. Right. And then all of a sudden people, call an Tyson. They were thrilled to have their pet back and thankful for everybody who cared for a long the way. But they still have no idea how we got on the train all by his lonesome, and he was a little puppy dog too. So this loss dog has been rate reunited with his family after he snuck onto a train in Dublin Ireland Greece, apparently there's a prequel in the works Paramount's developing a prequel to that movie called summer loving reportedly touch on the moment that started Danny and Sandy's romance. The fling described in the song summer nights the script will be written by John August is behind films such as big fish and Charlie and the chocolate factory which are both kind of weird. You know? So I don't know how that individual style of script writing Fizi prequel degrees. So you know, that's the wonder passengers trust flying on Boeing seven thirty-seven max planes after that software is supposedly fixed. Would you personally be wary of flying on eight after they're up in the air? Again, you can log onto NewsRadio are dot com. Wanna leave us a comment of the Facebook page for the program police program yesterday, we had our poll question. Do you support the plan to renovate the supermax prison? If you remember on Monday, we were talking about the Canadian goose. Oh, yeah. Being treated at the Cape wildlife center after an arrow was removed from its chest said we got a name this thing. Absolutely. I had no idea that was already a contest going on. Once they figured that the goose was in stable enough. I guess condition. The Cape Cod times decided they want to try to name it. So they came up with a name and goose's not called Pierce kind of creative. I like I was thinking maybe Archer would also be pretty good. But I like Pierce now that we know the goose's. Okay. You can you can name it that, you know. So based on the results of this poll in the herald news of Fall River that's going to call it the goose underwent surgery on Thursday of last week with a veterinarian removing an arrow the doctor prior. Patel performed the procedure set, the goose's heart actually stopped at one point. They had to do like a goose revival. The other gut it back up. There said we gave him emergency drugs. We started slight chest compressions we were able to get the heart beat up. So while the goose showing signs of improvement is still has a long way to go. They say in addition to the arrow that it hadn't it's chest. It went right through the meaty part of the breast, right? It also had been shot with a hunting pellet. This is one lucky ghost excuse. Wow. Nine lives novice cat. The Pellett has not been removed, but it might be dislodged goose's in a more stable condition. So that's the situation with Pierce goose in Pierce is able to recover the plan would be to release him back in Fall River and leave the port the poor thing alone. They say when people call the cops he decided to dial nine one one as well saying that officers better leave him alone, or they be sorry that they messed with the same a threat they ignored arresting the Saint for disturbing the peace and misusing nine one one Gary bomb garden fucks new off the story goes into the file for potential Braulio of the week. What's brilliant? You ask. At say Marin ski that's like a adult to the tenth power of brilliant. And we have our name our big, blue brilliant. Every Friday just before we part company before nine o'clock ads for teeth whitening products just about everywhere lately. But that doesn't make them all save options. Apparently stocked in university researchers they that teeth whiteners off the shelf. They contain hydrogen peroxide and actually damaged the dental tissue, which is under the enamel deep deep deep into the tooth the chemical breaks down a pro team. Okay. And that causes this stuff to disappear the protection, and as a result, the tooth becomes weaker and more sensitive to temperature. So it's not clear how much this hydrogen peroxide of products can contain before it becomes unsafe for your teeth. But you know, what one of just let you dentist take care of business because they know what they're doing. Right. And if you buy off the shelf. Yes shirts a lot cheaper. But again, it's unclear how much hydrogen peroxide can do so much damage. Many turned Tripadvisor to see what people. Had to say about a certain hotel restaurant. Right. Well, now the website has expanded. So people can review review cruises on. So the crew section of the site will include a ship itenerary page that's going to allow travelers to read reviews of amenities. And I ten arrays all different types of cruises now based on two thousand eighteen trip data thirty two percent of site uses have cruised before and forty four percent. Our crews shopper so trip advisor. Now, adding cruises to their review section. Pretty good demands. A growing company to recall the product that's linked to the deaths of infants we've been following this story, here's more from. Fox's Ken Duffy. The American Academy pediatrics is calling on Fisher Price to pull its rock and play sleeper. The consumer Product Safety Commission is asking people to stop using them. If their child is able to roll over in the sleeper, the commission and Fisher-Price issued a warning after reports came out about almost a dozen baby deaths linked to that sleeper urging parents to keep kids three months. Older out of it. That said Fisher Price is not yet issuing a recall thinking, the sleeper did not cause those deaths because some of the babies have previous medical conditions or the product was not used correctly. Kenzo Fox News. You're unsure about someone. You should probably trust you dog because researchers from Japan found the dogs are extremely sensitive to social signals from human beings, which means that they quickly stop trusting those who behave negatively towards their owners. Scientists also note that this negativity bias as they call. It has been shown by three year old human children in also by monkeys that they were testing too. So dogs tend to stay away from nasty people who behave negatively I'd like to do that for the most part in this business, though, taking a look at the pump the price at the pumps man of twenty seven cents over the last three weeks, you know, and in California, it's actually gone past five dollars a gallon in certain areas, filling attack with gas. "Dr veterinary medicine, I'm guessing. And son Zach Mertz. Who's in the business too? And they have another family member, Harry. They're hoping we'll also follow in your footsteps, correct? That's correct. I wanna shout out to Harry, Harian cases listening. I Harry areas in Brighton. Happy birthday. Happy birthday, Harry. And we're talking about exotic pets and knowing what wildlife as far as exotic pets. Go. In the program. I say what I think it seems like exotic pets spiders, people have them, maybe not so much for companionship. But so people pay attention to them. Hey, I have a spider. Right. And. That doesn't feel right to me. You're absolutely right. I mean, there's there's there is a part of that. And I won't say that every person that comes to the door has that motivation. But there's a there's a small percentage that that do and is it right to hold an animal with that motivation. Probably not. But, you know, people come in all different sizes and shapes and that could be one of the motivations. And there's lots of other motivations that that they might estate very same person might have. You were talking about somebody with a big giant spider. Somebody was a big giant tranche? La the last contact I had with client was. She had had the spider for twenty two years in a spider used to sleep in bed with her how big a tarantula coming all different sizes. But as big as my fist or even like a big meaty body. Big media. Yeah. A pound. No. No. No, no. I would. I'd be hard pressed to think wait announce oh, maybe twenty thirty grams forty grams at most Harry. Yeah. Very harry. Yeah. Very harris. They've you said slept in the bed. I don't understand watching rolled over on it. I I don't know torrential. You know, it's just it's a spider. I'm guessing doesn't know. It's a pet is there. Why wouldn't the hall often biter Monday I have seen? I actually have a tarantula in my my exam room, which often comes out and kids walk in the the exam because they want to see it. And they want to hold it. But anyway, the the. I saw a client one time come in with a tarantula, and he would he would lay his fingers on the table. Like he was making a little little tent with his his fingers and the spider would walk up behind his hands. And look out. You could actually see the spider position in lookout at me. And then when I would start to maneuver something he would back up, and then he would run run around and go to the other hand and look out between fingers to see who. I was always going on. There's a lot more sentence going on. And I think we we in most all animals, right? I think you think sure okay. Now, can you talk more about the wildlife? Center you did you actually build it and design it I was one of the people who helped design the the current building. That's in Weymouth to let me let me let me give you the overview. The overview is there's there's two hospitals. They all come underneath the umbrella of what we call the New England wildlife centers. So we put a plural on it. But there's a campus in Weymouth and there's a campus in barnstable barnstable one is known as the birdseye Cape wildlife center and the one in Weymouth is the Thomas Curtis wildlife center and wildlife hospital and education center. And then on top of that the odd pet vet is of commercial practice that again powers the the nonprofit. I know you're not. A dog that? But a pit bulls a dangerous breed. Probably you're qualified to talk to that speak to that. Right. I'm not qualified. Well, it depends on the individual dog. Yes, exactly sorta Ryland I think. If you're a good owner, and you give the dog as much love as you can. And and you just got to know your dog, and no it's behavior. No, it's not is a certain tendency to because it'd be dangerous. Their dogs and some dogs have more wildness and than other dogs, and there's an awful lot of it's not just not just pit bulls. I mean, there's lots of dogs that that have triggers for aggression, and these are things that are built in intuitively into their genetics. And then there are others that are that are much more. Family oriented and don't have this triggers. So what I refer to is the hounds, and it doesn't mean just the hounds, but but all the hound like animals all the unlike dogs. Are very much a pack style animal, and if you don't follow the rules of the pack you can get yourself in trouble. And and, but I gotta tell you I I don't many dogs out there that I'm afraid of. And I really don't think people should be afraid of their dogs at all. It's really kind of a rare situation sort of newsworthy situation when something bad happens between a dog and a person like this. And this is an example. Let's not a pit bull. I just wanted to point out. It's news and near vet so dog bites hand off Buta boy trying to play. Oh, the dog bit the hand right off. Two or three inches up. The arm. Does the dog bit the hand of a four year old Utah boy after he's duck his arm underneath the fence to try to play with the animal? This was a husky. Boy had a sock on his arm when he put it in a gap between the ground and the solid vinyl fence and. Hands gone. I saw that. That was a that was a pretty sad story. I mean, I'm inclined to think that husky at least initially was trying to play with play with young man as enticing a sock on his hand. And it just did not go go. Well, unfortunately. But yeah, you have to think like a dog to get along with the dog. And I don't I don't think you can you can you can't turn a play item into a. You know, it can't be part of your person. Yeah. That's one thing. That's right. The kids. I'm was a dog toy. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. Because the kid couldn't know that. So it's just a broad. Exactly. Bad luck situation. But a good rule of thumb around any any domestic or wild animals, you probably don't wanna stick your hand through something. You can't see the other side of like into a cage or under fence without test Fisher cover with sock. Yeah. Greg. You're after you're coal job. You just became a naturalised. He became a naturalised. But were you trained to become a naturalised? What's a naturalist? And how can you just become one declare yourself a naturalist and start is that what you did? Actually, I had an interest in education have always had an interest in education. And I I you know, I was raised by my parents to be out of doors a lot, and I knew Fairmount all about the outdoors that I could share with other people. And I thought it was important share with other people when did you actually start that school? Not until I was thirty four years. Yeah. I wanted to make sure people here that I it took me a long time to I had a couple of other career. I've done everything from wash dishes too. Working with hope so everyone everyone should I living. Everyone should watch. For a living for a while. Oh, okay. I couldn't agree more. You know, we wanted us something honestly, one of the best jobs. I ever had my life for being a veterinarian was being a waiter. Oh, yeah. Well, the the way that works leads the way that works is that when you're a veterinarian you have multiple patients who have multiple needs. And it's the same. It's analogous to having multiple tables in a restaurant who have multiple customers at it who have multiple needs and being able to balance all these different needs and requirements of varieties of projects all at the same time is the same thing that's happening. When you're waiting in an on a busy night on Saturday night in a restaurant. Speaking of various pets. Cockroaches. You mentioned that near you. Flyer here some people have cockroach bets, and you do treat them. What can you do for a cockroach, how can you fix a cockroach most of the problems with cockroaches? And these are not cockroaches a live in your house these things like Madagascan. Oh giants. I. Doc roaches. Yes. See we'll have those as pets. People have those as pets. The main reason they come to for care come to us for care is because they have mites. Really? So they get little little arachnoid little spider like things that live on the body. What a bummer. Yeah. I must make them. Crazy. It does make them. Crazy. It makes very uncomfortable. But people get mites. Yeah. We have people guess bedbugs as sort of a might like, it's not really a might. It's an insect. But when I was I just didn't know what you could do. Now. I do know the navy's I mean, somebody gets scabies. That's a might which is the same thing as Mangin dogs and foxes. And yes, kind of treated the same way. Millipedes? What can you do from millipedes broken leg? They also said it or did you remove it? They have plenty of it depends on how bad the leg is. You know, the only have one hundred you can't be losing legs left. And right is still. I guess I might be a callous person. That's I don't know if I could. I can't imagine bonding with millipedes. I can't imagine bonding with millipedes people do people do is that Harrison bonds with the millipedes. Abnormal different. Son of sand and different. Son of Sam different or just a little different son of Sam is more than different Sonal semis. We haven't had anybody. Tell us their millipedes told him to do anything. All right. Let's take a break. We'll go to Peter and Weymouth and anyone else who wants a question about wildlife. New England wildlife the wildlife center, exotic pets, whatever you whatever you like six one seven two five four ten thirty. It's WBZ. Jay talking, Bradley, Jay. WBZ News Radio ten thirty.
