The Story Of Ching Shih

"Hello and welcome back for Wonder Media Network I'm Jenny Kaplan and this is encyclopedia. Manica today's villainous has a bloody rags to riches tale. Some consider her the most successful pirate in history, and she got away scot-free despite years of plunder. Let's talk about the pirate Queen Juncture. Chung show was born, should young in southeast China in Seventeen, seventy five. Historians don't know much about her early life, but she soon became a prostitute for a floating brothel in Guam Joe. A city also known by Westerners as Canton in eighteen o one when junk show was twenty six, she had her first run in with the pirate John G. He was the commander of the Red Flag. Fleet a horde of two hundred ships with thousands of pirate underlings. Junk says beauty struck the commander and he wanted her for himself. Some accounts say that he ordered his men to raid the brothel and kidnapped juncture to be his bride. Others say that he just asked juncture to marry him, and she agreed in exchange for sheriff his power and plunder. Together they ruled the red flag fleet and form the Cantonese pirate coalition. The fleet included more than seventeen hundred ships and more than fifty thousand pirates. The couple adopted junkies second command establishing an official Air John Shit also gave birth to two sons then in eighteen o seven just six years after they got married, chung-yee died in a rebellion. Junk, ship seized her opportunity. Rather than pass the power to the appointed air, she took over control of the red flag fleet and established the air as her own right hand man. She was a strict leader. She created a system of government with its own laws and taxes plunder had to be registered, and then the pirates keep twenty percent of what they stole. There were firm rules around captured women two. Girls, she deemed ugly were immediately released. Pirates take beautiful women as their wives, but they had to be faithful, reap or infidelity was punishable by death. Deserters from the fleet would also be hunted down and killed. Under junctures rule the red flag fleet captured villages for miles along the coast. She was called the terror of south China. And she took down Chinese Portuguese and British naval ships. The Chinese government was desperate to end junctions reign of terror. They offered amnesty of the pirate fleet if they ended their criminal activities. Around eighteen ten junctures, right hand man started negotiations with the government, but failed to make real headway. Juncture then took matters into her own hands. She marched unarm into the governor's office with seventeen women and children. Her negotiation was quite successful. Almost all of her thousands of underlings walked free without giving up any all they had to do. Kneel before the governor. Juncture herself refused that part of the deal. She demanded the government allow her to marry her right hand man they wed with the governor as a witness and finally Neil to thank him at the end of the ceremony.

"Engaged next month between the Dallas cowboys and Pittsburgh steelers and postponed its annual enshrinement ceremony because of the coronavirus pandemic league sources I told our Adam Schefter. It's not just the hall of fame game and induction speeches that will be missing out on this year. The Pro Football Hall of fame in Canton Ohio hosts an annual festival that also includes a grand parade, gold, jacket, dinner and concert. We now welcome in the president and CEO of the Pro Football Hall of Fame David Baker David. How were you able to arrive at this decision to postpone the festivities? Feel! took us a little little while, but we had the luxury of the fact that this game had sold out back when the pandemic started. If your member on March Eleventh the, NBA suspended its season along with Nascar. March. Madness was canceled. Spring Training canceled. Thirty six hours later, our tickets for the game went on sale, so I was a little concerned but those tickets sold out in twenty two minutes between the alloys so we tried to take as long as we could. We worked with the Governor's Office obviously our board of trustees here at the pro football hall of fame and Seventeen other partners that we deal with including ESPN by the way and certainly the NFL in the end we felt that postponing the game, and all the enshrinement ceremonies that would happen in twenty twenty over to twenty twenty, one was the safest healthiest and the right thing to do it. It's not just about the pandemic, but you know we feel that when you honor the heroes of the game, which is what we're all about. It's a pro football team that you really want to honor them. Them with her family and their friends and their teammates, and all the guys that helped make this journey for them to candidate, and we think that by doing it in twenty twenty one combining that with the class of twenty twenty one, we will have twice the fund twenty-one twice the bone and twenty one. I like it. We were all living day to day right now. David, but spinning things ahead is you anticipate that twenty twenty one weekend? What will look like based off the information? You have right now. I think it's going to be jam. It is not only going to be the best. That's remedy may be the best kickoff to the NFL season. You know we will have the centennial class that is twenty in Chinese Twelve of them are living eight or posthumous, and they will really trying on Saturday on Sunday. We're looking to have the class of twenty twenty one which assured include Peyton manning might include Charles. Woodson their Calvin Johnson were first time in Chinese, and you might end up with some other guys coming the good. Good news for us is that the cowboys on the steelers have committed to plan the hall of fame game next year, so they'll be playing here on August. Fifth of two thousand, twenty one again that games a sell out so and you know the are involved in that can go to our website at pro football, H., dot, com, either for a refund or to retain their seats. For next year's game in next year's a giant. They've you're great champion of the game and we appreciate making time for us today. No, it was not an easy decision to make, but we do agree that it was the right one to make given the circumstances. Thanks so much David. Thanks so much fields daycare. So some key dates on the NFL calendar coming up the majority of NFL. Teams around the League expected to report to training camp on July twenty eight. Here's browns coach Kennedy earlier today on his plans for the team in this tumultuous off season. We have a plan for the players to get back up here. We have the vets coming on July. Twenty eighth, the rookies, the quarterbacks and injured players coming on July, twenty four, and if we hear differently will will give it will. Will just when we get that information. Obviously you want reps for your players from a learning standpoint. You want reps for players from an evaluation standpoint but I. I'm sure that whatever the rules are. They'll be the same for all thirty two and we'll deal to that as comes. I've got friends along with me for the show today. One of them is Dan Graziano and Dan, now that the hall of fame game has been canceled. What more can you tell us about? The rest of the preseason and plans for training camps open. Field NFL owners convening as we speak on a conference call where training camp plans will be one of the topics addressed at this point, all teams now that the cowboys and steelers initial whole thing game has been canceled. All teams are scheduled to report on July twenty eighth at this point that remains the plan in terms of preseason games, there are a lot of people around the League who expect that there will be more free season Games canceled or that the preseason will be shortened as teams focus on practices which they haven't had in person yet as teams focused on adhering. Adhering to the health and safety protocols in their own facilities versus getting teams together that are that are operating from different cities so I think there's going to be a cautious approach taken in terms of getting back to work when it happens, and we'll see at this point. We'll see at this point. We'll see training camp opened on the twenty eighth. Unless there's a major change preseason games could be in jeopardy, started the season still looking like it's on time, but obviously as you were mentioning and your conversation with David, Baker everything's Day to day. Everything is subject to change. Shortly right now, bring in Tim. Hasselbeck and Jeff Saturday and Tim assuming training camp. Time and additional preseason games are lost. What teams will be hit most by that? Well field teams that are going through critical transition so a team that has maybe make a change of the quarterback position a team that's made change at the head coach position those teams, no! Will be hurt harder by this kind of bizarre off season then teams that have some consistency think if you're the Carolina Panthers. First Year NFL head, coach and Matt Rule and you're transitioning to a new quarterback, and then even other teams know the Washington Redskins, even though Ron Rivera has been a head coach before he's on a new team is the with. A quarterback situation where he's gotta get somebody ready. So I think teams like the Patriots Cowboys the Cleveland Browns. All of these teams that have a significant transition. Others are hurt more by this off season. The teams that have consistency. Yeah I agree with Tim I think teams when you talk about rosters and we just put out a a bowl here recently you're talking about the Ravens, being the number one and the chiefs or four. You had the saints I mean you have all these teams that have these rosters that have been solidified and had good seasons. Lash those the teams that are gonNA benefit. Because there's very little movement. They'll add guys, but they're just adding finishing touches. It's not be big rebounds, and I also think for negative thing about the Tampa. Bay buccaneers I mean. We talked about Brady going down and what the expectations for that football team is. Is. That's that's the issue is expectations from fans from these players I know they're trying to work out together, but you'd have to get all guys together and really be able to work this thing out to become fluid football team. It's going to take time and to everybody's point is just a fluid situation that you guys are going to have to adjust to no doubt about that and cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, who was diagnosed with the coronavirus ten days ago, said he's feeling back or back to feeling normal, but still has not been cleared by doctors to work out. He added more updates about his recovery process in twitch video. Yesterday. Good I would say I had maybe one or two days where I felt sometimes, and even then it wasn't too bad. I had a cough and. Shortness of breath now I was feel feel feel good. I feel normal I do that. We have season, but I mean it just has to be asked to be right it has. It has. Got To. Put the health of the players and the coaches in an the support staff I I mean I think that's important, and until we get to a place as a country where we feel safe doing it. We have to understand football non-essential business. And so we don't need to do and so the risk. Has To. Be The really eliminated before we before I feel comfortable. Dr Anthony Fauci recently told sports illustrated jets country quote situation. This fall rejected by the dynamics of the cove in one thousand nine outbreak in the.

How does that work with Indigenous people because a lot of these terms and days a very foreign because we practiced these elements in different aspects of different ways but now with aligning so it makes sense in a in a Western context share. What a futures forum that works yes. Other futures will become that was born out of a of an agenda really engage with the future generation In terms of business economic sense and side what we've done is we raised Former colleague in MSL developed this concept. That really looked at. What does the future look like for indigenous people in this country in the next fifty years? What does that look like in relation to business? Can I trim a yucca plant hard in the Spring?

"Successful growers for generations. Yucca plant and it's about Eight eighteen years old. And it's Kinda looking packing the the outerly. Kinda PERSON. Cut that down and choose backup. Well that probably yes reason. I laugh at this point. Some people have planted Yucca and long before he years they WANNA get rid of it. And can't that means that you can probably practically murder the plant and have it come on along? If you're going to cut it down hard real hard number one if you can save some of the inner and greenest youngest looking leaves. This would be good if you can't do that. Then get it done soon so that it has a recovery period route wise and then can put up From the crown of the plants that you can put up new leaves I'm GonNa say that sometimes when you want to get rid of them. You can't other times when you want to keep them. You can't get good transplant. But I would think that you could go into it. Pretty heavy yet What part of the State are you in Pat? We're around the Canton Canton area. I think because of being several days later in weather time Temperatures and so. I think you could go ahead and do that and be pretty comfortable that it will come on a long now. It may sit looking pretty haggard or or just plain topless if you have to cut that hard For quite a while but do not despair because it could be well into may maybe even early June before it starts to recover but the odds are pretty good. You can get it done. Sooner is indeed better okay and now as I told. Sandy it is also a matter that if you well if you want to cater to the plant at this point in its present condition Again very

Daniel Hayden of Extractioneering on Carbonated Extracts

"Am delighted today to be able to sit down with Dr Daniel. Hayden of extraction nearing or as most of you probably know extraction hearing here in Oregon Thanks so much for being willing to sit down with me and talk today for the podcast. Thank you yeah. I'm really excited to to see what's going on. It's it's funny. You may or may not be surprised how hard it is to find knowledgeable extraction chemists or scientists. That are doing extraction. That are willing to actually talk to me. There are a lot that seem very very protective of flu idea. Yes and there will be some protected parts of course and we wish we could be further along with the company and when we are further along we should be engaged about some of the more protected. Parts let's talk about the science. Yeah Yeah as you as you continue to grow and evolve definitely keeping in the loop and we can do drop INS and Educate folks more on on some of what you're doing Into GIVE people context. I know some people watching this and listening or probably somewhat familiar with extraction hearing already from pretty solid instagram following. And that sort of thing but for those. That aren't so familiar. Haven't seen any of your work. Can you briefly described a little bit about your academic and professional background and then a little bit about the work that you're trying to do here sure Bring it up into two parts of my background. Is I went to got my bachelor's degree for In biotechnology at Rochester Institute of Technology in upstate New York at the time in nineteen ninety. Four that was when flavor saver tomatoes came out in genetically modified organisms really came to space and I really felt I was interested in natural products but I really wanted to get into the technology. If there's somebody with a like minded who wants to go well I wanted to get in and understand. genetic modification so I started to pursue that for bat. My Bachelors I came in contact with cannabis at the time in the use. And what it meant to me in. So I married the concept biotechnology together with natural products like biodiesel biomass for cardboard for. Would I got into him in the late? Nineties and my thoughts about how I could contribute biotechnology and hemp and specifically oil seeds. But there wasn't many opportunities as a graduate student. You tell me your background in Mississippi. There's one other lab in Indiana Illinois but didn't really work with the plant itself and so I said well if I just worked with plants in genetic engineering and rare and unique plants It will help when it comes to canton. You'll be ready so I went to the University of Hawaii. Just forecast myself our way and work with these plants that are weird and these tissues that protect them from all these environments in the tropics but we need to investigate them and so you couldn't just work on these things that the kids they're giving for corn and for other sciences. You had to make new chemistry and extract nucleic acids and really my PhD is about extractions. So they explain to you what the meaning of a PhD was in. Its own piece of work to contribute to your field and I was like I got seventy pages on how to extract from this anthem rubbery plants. Yeah she's and I didn't understand it then the context of it but the you know I got my publication. I got each and then I went into biofuels. Oh interesting so at the time. They're really hot topic In really biodiesel but I got swallowed up also slow stick but that was tissue culture with we switch grass working with the USDA understanding how government operates and policies and procedures and health codes and environmental safety laws etc and so also working with it really expensive instrumentation rise again and hoping that comfortable with all those kinds of technologies and so the tissue culture is really born there and working with sequencing I got through that and thinks along verbose discussion but a into post doc for UC Davis in this was on sequencing of an oil see. So now we're getting closer to non polar this oil body of a seed and why is it acting so unique and what are the genes involved and so I did? Three years really investigating The millions and millions of genes that are expressed in developing oats seed. Because the colonel is oil in it. Yeah Yeah and You know understanding what about gene expression made produce more oil and it. The scientist wants to say it's easy concept right the enzyme that makes it well like the. Thc The makes the THC. You just boosted your mortgage say knock it down and get less. It's not like that. Secondary Metabolism worked Lignin all my life secondary metabolism. That's where this pathway cannabinoid. It's stations itself and so We find out that the cells that make the product of question. We're had better metabolism. And when they were designed in the developing oats when they were lead there was more of them. So there's more of them to do the job of converting all the nutrients into the oil. Yeah and that's why you have a better oilseed. Not because the that one last step in making the oil. There's just more of that enzyme moral. So you know that concept. All those concepts in my background drove to the point of cannabis as say I can. I can see how that would all Come together and start to translate into a lot of the interesting things to investigate in cannabis. Something I I. Talk a lot about Concerning Cannabis's there's there's a good bit of research in a certain context. It's been done but there's still a lot of low hanging fruit when it comes to cannabis research a lot of things to investigate that We don't currently understand as well as things with like oats or corn. Some of these heavily heavily researched agriculture commodities and. Yeah and. There's a ton of work done on cannabis in the forties and the fifties and sixties mentioning Molecules To your imagination can conceive having these molecules in a larger amount and being able to interact with them It whereas all the progress right so we celebrate a few scientists Israel for coming up with context of crystallization of CBA. Who Wears the workmen for the past? Seventy Years Greg. What else is you know? Characterize all these other rare molecules. So this kind of translates into what I wanted to discuss you. The people you interview are in the medical field. And they're struggling to understand how to create context and it's because cannabis is so complex and then you don't have the right starting materials. They're starting material. Was a cannabis flower. Smoked and then all their patients treated the same. Then I would. I would listen to what's happening with this study. But it's just preparations concentrated preparations and then pills or whatever ingestion and so who knows what bioavailability. Oh yeah yeah I mean yeah. There's the bioavailability issue. There's also one thing that drives me crazy in trying to decipher a lot of the clinical data. That exists is the uncontrolled variables. So like you're talking about there's If they if they do happen to find relatively high-quality starting materials which is relatively rare and a lot of clinical research. That's gone on it. Still uncontrolled and inconsistent patient. Patients are really. You're looking at individual case studies more than like a you know a data set that can be validated in. Actually start to decipher wisdom at large. That would affect a general population. Now we're getting into the weeds batch to batch variability prove something with one batch and then they asked you to go back again or somebody asked for the patch to run it in their own samples. And it's gone it doesn't exist. They don't know how to qualify it on a consumer level in this marketplace with district cartridges. So Gosh yes same thing. Oh Yeah so what we have is broad spectrum. Full spectrum we have. I'm going to give you some random. Cannabinoid Z- And you're the better for it right. Yeah you know so you can thank me later. You know I've created some wild cocktail and I- bestowed upon you heal yourself. Thank you can thank me later. So we're really focusing on here and we've done you know of course creating this marketplace you have to create products and everybody's mind for the TC's so he's just GonNa move through but we want to make sure that moving we make sure we know what those minor cannabinoid Sar and the engineer them reliably so the customer goes back and knows this is a little bit more. Cbc In it for me.

California governor Gavin Newsom says reports being prepared and the area secured with the entire process to remove passengers expected to take two to three days former FDA commissioner says now is a crucial time in the fight against the virus on CBS's face the nation Dr Scott Gottlieb said the next two weeks are key and he adds that the next two months will probably be difficult with the closing closing of of businesses businesses and and schools schools Gottlieb Gottlieb did did offer offer reassurance reassurance saying saying quote quote we'll we'll get get through through this this another another former former democratic democratic presidential presidential candidate candidate is is endorsing endorsing Joe Joe Biden Biden in a video on Twitter California senator Kamilla Harris threw her support behind the former vice president saying quote I believe in joke we need a leader who really does care about the people and who can therefore unify the people and I believe Joe can do that and with us right now was ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts Steve what a difference a week makes it did you anticipate Joe Biden picking up this mode the momentum this quickly no I have not I don't think anybody did I I think what we're what we're seeing though is a fascinating phenomena based on one word and that word is fear it's fear of Donald Trump and fear of Bernie Sanders Joe Biden has not been reborn as some useful charismatics move talking energetic candidates Joe Biden today is still the same Joe Biden that people have a lot of doubts about two weeks ago two months ago two years ago the difference is that Democrats have so desperate so frantic to find somebody who can beat Donald Trump that they decided that day either as a group and individually as voters and as candidates they'll camel Harris being an example of of having to rally around somebody and then choosing between Biden and Sanders the fear of Bernie Sanders is pulling the party too far to the left so there's a lot of energy around the Biden candidacy right now but in my view it's largely negative energy it's driven by fear it's driven by desperation there are not a lot of Democrats even this morning jumping up and down in Saint Joe Biden's gonna be a great candidate a great president but this negative energy is very powerful and that's what's driving this trend do you think it's now his to lose or is it too early to say that definitely has to lose end up and I think it's gonna be very difficult for Bernie Sanders to rebound here the one variable of course the one no wild card is by himself as I say he has not been report he's still the guy who can show astounding lapses of judgment he's still the guy who could make gaffes he's still the guy who can show his age very clearly he's still the guy who can appear fumbling and uncertain and in debates with Bernie Sanders and interviews it's still entirely possible for him to make damaging mistakes I think a lot of Democrats even if they rally around by they're holding their breath and hoping that Biden will get its act together and I've seen some signs a few signs of Byton improving on the stop I think he's shown a little bit more energy I think the campaign line about I'm the candidate of those who have been left behind it counted out is a defective and powerful line really echoes of a bill to written of nineteen ninety two the comeback kid although Biden's hardly a kid he's more the comeback teaser than the comeback kid and also this line of of of appealing to the concepts of dignity and civility and normalcy I think they provide a fairly stark contrast to the president who's in the oval office now but Biden is still Biden it was all of his flaws but at this point he's the Democrats best hope and it's gonna be very difficult for Sanders to capture Steve thanks for your thoughts again this morning ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts it's also worth noting that this morning one of the former Bernie Sanders holds a rally after South Carolina primary results

"And we're back talking South Carolina primary I'm joined by Jill painter democratic strategist Dave Weigel national reporter covering politics for The Washington Post and Jamie Lovegrove political reporter at the post and courier in South Carolina Dave I wanted to talk about what Bernie Sanders did yesterday which is he didn't spend the day in South Carolina he was up in Boston at a big rally he was in Virginia with a big rally obviously sending the message to voters democratic voters like oh Hey remember I'm the guy who still gets the big rallies I'm the the sort of enthusiasm generator in this race what do you think his strategy is going to be going forward they're still kind of spinning a look he did well with young black voters but he did he did that before it's kind of a strange thing for for Sam's is because this is a guy who kept running after he was basically out of Hillary Clinton but it's been so great the the twin images of inevitability in excitement that you are doing harm if you don't just get behind this candidate however not that X. they're not that explicitly states that they handed this and that no no one is able to draw as many voters as he is mean there's an ad in South Carolina they ran from of a supporter who switched from Biden to Sanders and she argued very explicitly that she wanted to see the same kind of lines you softer rock Obama in twenty twenty the implication being Joe Biden can't do that and and bring Sanders can but yes Sam Biden blew it away without those those big wind standards are still not quite sure what to think of the fact that down trump and Bernie Sanders get these enormous crowds and the other can and find does not mean he's not he's never been able as it canton right to get a big crowd and he didn't South Carolina and it didn't matter it didn't matter the going for that's a big part of your argument is look we're going to come out of this in super Tuesday with a possible popular vote majority with a possible pledged delegate majority it's just that after that point people she should consider whether they really want to go for a establishment candidate who is much weaker than Hillary Clinton was I think that's that might become a bit more explicit that that said they've they've been counting chickens a lot recently the Sanders people if memory member in the debate recently there's a there's a hand show in in Nevada of whether the person with the most played W. should be the nominee so Sanders still has the most like delete after after South Carolina by little the expectation is that he'll do well enough himself and in California to get the most pledged delegates but they keep kind of basing decisions on what the polling says we just saw understate as Jimmy pointed out where the polling actually overestimated him an underestimated Joe Biden so when I talk about California they feel good about it but they talk about California S. is a situation where literally Sanders can get almost every single delegate without because you know you need the fifteen percent threshold and they look at a poll that says thirty Warren fourteen okay looks like no one else across the threshold that's it's not obvious they will so we're so I'm talking a lot to get to this hit to get to the point of how we need to get more vote results to know where they're going they're going to make those that after yesterday Burton it's Joe Biden not Bernie Sanders who has more popular votes in the hunt for the nomination so they've been talking as if no one will be able to catch Bernie Sanders very I think as much as more than more than some other campaigns we're sort of writing the Biden obituary of the made pretty good but just trying to write that obituary in the summer when he said it was down to him and Warren and so I I don't think they have rhetorically prepared for a world in which there is a real competition between them inviting and the issue with find is that he is indeed a a problematic candidate I mean we saw in the last week in South Carolina that he just made up a story where he was the hero during a during a party he has long rambling answers and town halls I mean he is in some way he is in many ways it's not as good as a as a competitor as Hillary Clinton was but you have a democratic electorate that is scrambled and terrified and unsure of who to back you see this in the head of the newspaper endorsements to word Biden would be the candidate normally getting all these newspaper endorsement saying both the most qualified candidate instead it's going to close the shore or in South Carolina when two people to judge the

U.S. Navy Ponders An Ambitious Fleet Makeover Amid Tight Budget

"President Trump's administration is expected to unveil a budget plan today under a deal with Congress last year. Defense spending would rise only slightly which leaves leaves the United States Navy a little bit caught between a tight budget and a president who would like things to be a lot bigger Jay price of our member station W. UNC reports the scene at the famous shipyard. Newport News Virginia was a naval classic United States ship John F. Kennedy God bless this this shed and all who sail in her a few months back. Caroline Kennedy Chris and ship in honor of her late father. These kinds kinds of ceremonies are becoming more frequent after decades of decline. The Navy's fleet is on the rise. This year is expected to top three hundred warships. And it's aiming for a much larger number that fifty five ship goals more than a goal. It's in the law. He was in the authorization bill several years ago and was date stated goal of the president when he ran for election in two thousand sixteen. That's Thomas Mode. Leave the acting. Secretary of the Navy warships can come with jaw-dropping Christ tags the eleven hundred foot long one hundred thousand tonne Kennedy for example costs more than thirteen billion dollars and for Moseley paying for a lot more ships. It's a challenge. That's what we're trying to figure out right now but when you look at the size of the fleet right now where it was four years ago we were at two hundred seventy five ships so getting into a fleet of three fifty five is going to require a significantly higher top line. That's a thirty percent increase in the size of the fleet. But I don't think it's reasonable for us to ask for thirty percent more top line. It's just not enough money to go around and defense to be able to fund. That Moodley says he's confident. The navy can get there but says it will have to get some additional channel funding and chew ships that cost less however it decides to reach three hundred and fifty five. There's one especially influential person who wants it to camping. Our Navy is now the smaller suspend since believe it or not World War One. Don't worry GonNa soon be the largest. It's been that was president. President trump back in two thousand seventeen on his own visit to Newport News. The navy's goal for fleet size had been more modest mark. Canton is with the Center for strategic not GIC and International Studies. The navy's previous target had been three hundred h ships but after trump won the election. They couldn't have target. That was below at uh. Now president-elect was recommending so the Navy did a quick for structure analysis and came up with three hundred fifty five ships can't see in once led the Office of Management and Budget Division that focused on the defense budget and acquisitions. He says it's unclear. Exactly how large the fleet really should be. I think because a strong argument that the navy needs to be larger if the United States wants to execute the strategy that it has pursued since the late Obama administration ration- and then into the trump administration that is a global superpower that is engaged in Europe in the Middle East and in the Pacific. Nick also that is going to engage in a long-term competition with Russia and China. Doing those two things takes all large navy now whether that needs to be three hundred fifty five ships or not. There isn't a lot of analysis there. mody though is focused on that three hundred and fifty five five number and that would mean integrating into that fleet some ships that cost less require fewer people to man them and also helped with our overall all strategy of having distributed maritime operations with more ships out during the fleet. He says the navy can not only reach three hundred fifty five but do it ahead of schedule Joel. And without even counting the drone ships. The navy is aggressively

"What have you been up to Dominic Foxworth now, here's the running bit cleanings. Bente a bunch of cities and cool things. Inborn old dad ever done anything. I wanted to see the mood to see a mission impossible last night. So hollow did you see that? And so I've seen it already. I'm cooler than you. This, was this a full family event, or is this a date night or did you go? No, no, no. So on Friday, I went to see teen titans go. That was a full family event your boy, the kids. However, the kids went to see the new, Winnie the Pooh movie without me on Saturday and on on our excuse me, yeah, on on Saturday morning. And then I went to see mission impossible. It was a solo mission. I went by myself and enjoyed it thoroughly Dolo. Wow. That's the best way to see movies. Absolutely. The best way to see movies was good. I liked it. It was good. If you like action movies don't go. They're expecting to see citizen Kane. But I mean, if you like action, movies, I, you can't beat it. It was a fantastic action movie. Some good twists in their spoiler alert. I was it was a, it was a lengthy action movie, but it there is little to no dialogue. It is all active. So it doesn't feel long. I'm not sure exactly how long it was, but I didn't feel like sometimes in in action movies. All right. Come on. When is this going to be over? Let's we know how this is all going to end right less hurry up and get to it. But no, that was nothing like that. Like if you like action movies, this is a movie to see if you don't like action, movies. I wouldn't tell you go see it because it is all action to mission. Impossible franchise is vastly underrated in the all-time canon of action flicks. I mean, I think it's right up there at the top. You're not. There's not a whole lot of action movie franchises that pound for pound are pushing mission, impossible. Those bad boys have been coming on for twenty years. I came out when I was in high school. I still think that that's a very good franchise. I enjoy it. I'm stunned to Tom Cruise is still get it done on this level. That dude is impressive. There's the one thing in there or he is sprinting, and he looks like an athlete. So he's running for. Good, seven minutes straight is straight spring like, yeah, I like that is impressive. So I mean, they're cut away and stuff, so I'm sure that he wasn't actually sprinting, but the chase scene like seven minutes of him running. The man's form is tight elbows, lack hide hidden until like a man is right. And then I was impressed much has been made of how Tom Cruise tries to do many of his stunts. And I mean, it shows appreciate Tom's Tom Cruise and I respect him as an action star. Maybe you should join MLS. No, I'm like, okay, get Tom Cruise on the you Boyz on his online sharing for even hunt. So the funny thing is though about Atlanta's that Atlanta and I just want to give a shout out to all the people at that franchise because they got a good operation as well as the team actually being fun. And the funny thing is it's still Atlanta. So like most people there, even if there is a massively large contingent of soccer fans sitting in the press box. You still got guys who are trying to break down SEC. Out of a soccer game, and I'm taking a take an Uber to the to the city because it was it was raining and the guy asked me he's a young brother probably about twenty five result. He goes. So what are you in town for I go all star game. He goes, oh word, boom, five minute rain about the falcons going to the Super Bowl. What I was this even room fully involved related. So people are pretty pumps. They think you're going to what you think volumes gotta shot and I gotta shout. It's America. You have to expect that you're gonna you bring up football. People are gonna talk about football, whether you want to not good point. Although I didn't bring up football, you brought up soccer, which is football. "He's a tight end, but he's basically a pass catching tight end. So so there is that addition. But I, you know, I still. You might say, you know, they're all weapon short on offense. And then and then their defense, they fired the defensive coordinator Dom Capers. They brought petting in and he told us the other day. Well, we haven't given up a yard or a point yet. So to hear point every, you know everybody's optimistic, but, but but you know, we'll see if the changes on defense actually you what you know, Mike McCarthy wants them to do, you know. So it's always to areas and defense specifically, I think it's the pass rush. I mean, play Matthews is still very capable. Nick Perry had a digit sack season, but outside of that, they don't have a lot of proven pass rushers and and you guys all these Cornerbacks are you let them sit back there. They're going to pick you apart. So you know if things don't go. Well, it's because cutting Nelson was a mistake and and the defense didn't improve like they thought they would. He's robbed a mosquee ESPN Packers reporter. You can find him on Twitter at rob Demosthenes. Thank you up. All right. You guys have a great day. So FOX. It'll be said, how good do you think this Packers team actually is? Yeah. I mean, we asked a lot of questions about a lot of different positions, but you ask the only question that matters. So Aaron as all that really matters to him because he's right. They were a team that was legitimately considered a Super Bowl contender. Then Aaron broke his collarbone and then they were trash. And it's, I think it's not because the rest of the team is bad, but when you have a player that good, it's it's very difficult. I think to build everything around him. And then when he's when you take out that central piece, I think that team has the town to be better than they were, but it's hard to to replace all that on the fly. I'm so glad he didn't hold out that would have been such a mess. A mess. I know that you do not like Memphis. I know. I know I want to see that guy play. You know what I mean? I don't. You know. I mean, that's the thing with him. He's fun to watch. He's not just one of these dudes that he's got a game play style that you don't have to low football in order to enjoy watching. And that is something I appreciate quite a bit in terms of how you protas the game from a quarterback standpoint. Yeah, I think a lot of times great players make the game look easy, and he makes it look easy, but you still getting knowledge or you the way that he does it. It still looks hard and impressive if that makes sense. It's like when he that touchdown pass that he made against the Cowboys two years ago in a playoff was incredible, and it's hard sometimes to be able to pick those things out and see how great are in a way that Aaron plays. You can really appreciate how talented he is coming up going to talk about where we been Clinton Yates Dominic Foxworth listening to good morning ropes, Tony, SPN, radio and ESPN app..

"You know, it's just basically the idea that everybody takes care of what what, what they're supposed to do and they should be where they want to be. So you know, McCarthy took a little bit of a different approach to this season in terms of, you know, he's let pets and Philp and talk to the team, you know a little bit more than than he did in the past because you know it's thirteen years of the same head coach, and I realized players changed, but I think he's smart enough to recognize that you need new voices in front of the rule that Mike patent has brought an energy to this team, not just the defense, but the entire team that I think they needed at this point in in where they are their development robbed off Oscar ESPN Packers reporter joins us you on the morning rose. So where do you think expectations are for this team this season regarding, you know, considering all these things that have changed the fact that McCarthy let loose them rains a little bit. Yeah. Well, it's a huge. Season for a lot of reasons. One McCarthy of you know, he he only received a one year contract extension which puts them under contract for this year and banks year. So it's a huge season from that regard on him. It's also a huge season because of what happened last year they were playing, you know, maybe as well as anybody in the league at four and one when Roger's got hurt last year and they were a legitimate, obviously Super Bowl to tender, possibly even favorite. The way they were playing Rogers was, I thought he was playing some of his best football has the unbelievable game against Dallas right before he gets hurt in Minnesota, and but Minnesota has has caught up. Everyone knows it. Their defense is fantastic. You know they've had they have enough pieces on offense. So you know, there's a lot of pressure on these guys to come back and you know, and show that Minnesota is not the kings of this division that they are, where they've been, you know, for so many years, they had a string of eight, eight straight playoff years, Br. Broken last year and you know they only won one Super Bowl out of that eight playoff appearances in a row, not, you know. I mean, hey, one super goals is is more than one that a lot of teams have won. But would you have this quarterback? The expectation is that you win multiple Super Bowls or at least get multiple Super Bowls. And then that's really what what's searing him in the face right now, everyone optimistic this time of year out of every everyone's training camp. They expect to have a good season. But my question for you is if the Packers season was to not go, well, what are the holes in their team that you could point to haven't seen so far in training camp? Yeah. I mean, look, the letting Jordy Nelson go cutting him was a huge risk. They and they don't have a super deep receiving core right now. It's Davante Adams, it's Randall Cobb, and then it's a bunch of question marks now I know Jimmy cram is, is is not a receiver..

"Talking with rob demoss ESPN Packers reporter here on the shell Pennzoil performance on speaking of Rogers, how does he look? How have things gone with this guy in terms of getting back to where he needs to be just in general, what have you seen of a guy who a lot of people consider the probably be one of the best quarterbacks in the league? Well, he made one of the greatest throws I've ever seen in practice the other day and I've seen twenty years Packers quarterback. So that's far and Rogers, he had a dole look touchdown, twenty six yard. He's rolling to laugh looking to his lap. It was Magic Johnson, asking a fast break, never looked to his right yet managed to fling a twenty six yard or right on the money to Geronimo Alison right now is there number three receiver, and it's just it's just one play, but it just it reminds you that this guy does things that pretty much nobody else baby Brady's the only other one that can do those things and he's thirty four years old. And I'm telling you he doesn't look like any different than he did when he was twenty eight, twenty nine years old and he he appears to be primed to have a really good year. Now, last night there in their practice at lambofield that sixty four thousand people holding their breath. When Rogers left tackle David box, Yari got carted off with an ankle injury. The early word is that it doesn't look overly serious, but you, you know, based on what happened to Rogers last year with the collarbone you need every topline protector of him that you can. So that's something to keep an eye on here over the next couple of days. What was the reaction to Mike McCarthy, at least in the locker room? Could you get a sense of the reaction to Mike McCarthy saying that they have to worry about the other fifty two? We're furniture, Aaron Rodgers being essentially the best quarterback in the league, and he really dispense his tie worrying about if everyone can be up to his level. Well, I I, it's, it's just it's really a mindset and that's what they've tried to stab Bush this year with their new defensive coordinator. Mike Pence. And with bringing jolt Filton back as offense of quarter their their most successful offenses with Philbin..

"And joining us right now on said line is rob democracy, ESPN Packers reporter, rob, and get right to it. I want to ask you about something canton related. Jerry Kramer eighty two years old. He was. Finalist eleven times before he was voted into the hall. I wonder just from your perspective because we've seen this issue of guys not getting it on time the whole situation Terrel Owens, how much of a deal was it in pack nation that it took Kramer so long to finally get his bust and Ken, it was you guys and you know, David Baker, the president of the hall of fame had a great line when when Kramer finally got voted in this year, he said, you know what? His Email volume of emails like cut in half for fans like badgering. If constantly about your Kramer really, it became such a, you know, sort of a cause to to get him in his daughter. Lisa did an unbelievable job over the last four years to try to renew the interest in his candidacy and and it's really the last piece now of the Lombardi era Packers all having their their rightful place in football history mud bring us a little bit closer to the modern. Day and you guys not. You got the Packers picked up two Cornerbacks very high. Wanted to figure out how I want you to give me some insight on how Alexander and Jackson have been performing in which or either of them are going to start. Yeah, John Alexander the first round pick has been nothing short of awesome. Rebuttal the first two weeks of camp. He he's got up interception of Rogers in team drills in camp and the and as you guys. I mean, this guy doesn't throw very many interceptions you know, for a rookie first round pick to have one already. It's funny 'cause I went up to him and I said, this has to be a big confidence booster, and he started to say, yeah, it is. And then he basically looked at me goes, but you know, I really don't eat a lot of confidence. So he's a, he's a cocky guy. You like that though, in a corner, don't you. I mean, that's sort of what you what you wanna have and you know that's been, you know, he, he is under size. He's he's daily five, ten. But boy, does he cover a lot of ground and has been in. And then Josh Jackson, the second round pick out of Iowa, got us a little bit of a slow start that he starting to come around. He's gotta learn to play, you know, without his hands on guys. And I mean, boy, the referees are watching those guys like hawks as you know. But right now Alexsandr looks like he's gonna be, you know, the number three guy in the nickel which is much as teams play nickel. That's basically a starting spot against three wives. And I think he's gonna have a big impact and that's what they need it. "He's had other shows that have been. Good as well. We'll see how the school pans out the LeBron chapter post NBA. I think it's gonna be much much bigger than anybody ever imagined. And I wonder not to get too far into this. If at this point it legitimately might consider. You know, there might be a political aspect that comes into play. I mean, he campaigned for for Hillary and it's not like he's far off of it, I think would I don't necessarily see happened that maybe you aren't insinuating is like him running for office. I can't imagine LeBron wanting to do that because I think that the change that he wants to affect he can affect a certain amount of change outside what you gonna argue. You might be able to affect more more saying from outside as influential wealthy individuals and you could as a politician. But I mean, I it's not far fetched. Plenty of former athletes have gone on to careers in politics. And as we've seen just about anybody can be president. Listen to the border on ESPN radio Clinton aide somebody Foxworth here's what Bill Russell tweeted. I hadn't a need until now to say, I am proud of King James for following his dream to open the. I promise school helping kids in their families work toward a better life all done with his own money for anyone to criticize that is shameful and lex compassion. That is the legend. The goat Bill Russell interesting moment right now because I wonder if I wonder how the NBA as an organization looks at this. You know, you've worked on the players side of things, but Adam silver, I can't imagine is necessarily all that pumped that his most popular player is getting dragged into a Twitter war with the president of the United States of America, no matter how sort of funny or ten gentle or even inspirational. The things he's doing are aside. This is going to be a very tricky one for you know, for for the NBA handle at NBA has been on the rise as far as popularity and viewership and money is concerned. And and I guess a league that may not be on the rise, could use a jolt of attention, something like this. They don't need this necessarily. It's not guaranteed that this will have a positive impact. I think most people assume that the core of the NBA audience is more progressive and a little younger and would revel in idea of the NBA or NBA players against the president, but I'm not sure that they necessarily need to play to that base, excuse the political nomenclature, but I'm not sure that they need to play to that base at this point. So I could imagine that they're not happy about this and they want something like this to go away as quickly as possible. Yeah, I look for as much as I believe in LeBron James is efforts in as much as I think that his school in Akron and everything he's trying to do for educational for makes sense. This to me would qualify as an actual distraction. If they're dealing with this going in to what is trying to give it what is the season? You can't have this. You know what I'm saying? You're trying to win basketball games just trying to turn around and free. Franchise. You know, this is not a knock or anything they're doing, but you cannot find yourself involved in the social media battle with the commander in chief of the United States of America. You're actually trying to turn around a basketball team. That's still LeBron had responded though, and I don't know that he's going to. "I like Mike at the end of tweet as if he has, no, I just don't even understand that. Like what? What is he talking about regarding Michael Jordan? This has nothing to do with MJ LeBron starting school in Akron, a noble effort by pretty much all accounts and he's tossing in that little piece of red meat to the flame. How do you feel if your Michael Jordan on this day? I think that the person who was most hurt, but that tweet head to be Michael Jordan because I think LeBron the the presidential Klebb back to LeBron has been longtime coming, like LeBron taking shots at the president for more than a year now. And it was only a, I think LeBron was not surprised by this. He's probably been expecting at some point. He's going to hear back from from the president, and I don't think he was surprised or upset or -ffected by this Michael Jordan who like notoriously has kind of stayed out of anything too controversial, political. He wasn't expecting this. He didn't want. He just trying to live life in Charlotte, his basketball life. He's not LeBron James who has been engaged in political and social issues for awhile and looking to be engaged, not. And I don't say that as a criticism of Michael Jordan, I've defended Michael Jordan. He's done a lot just by his mere presence. I think for for some social issues. And if you are not one who wants to get involved in politics, I suggest you don't get evolve. The worst thing is people who are ill informed getting involved. So I'm not here to bash Michael Jordan necessarily for that, but it's clear that he doesn't want this political this specific political smoke, and now he got dragged into it. So you have to speak out when you get the Trump endorsement. You kind of have to come out and say something to particularly as a black man. And he did without actually saying anything. He just kind of said Jordan said that he supported Eljay LeBron James essentially does anybody call l. Eljay like. Like. Weird. I finally, he had to go to an MD type nomenclature in order to even be able to talk to the LeBron James support that that didn't make sense. But some other people did come to LeBron James's support Steph, curry, said, keep doing you at King James, Karl Anthony towns came with some serious fire. He said, so let me get this straight. Flint. Michigan has dirty water still, but you worried about an interview about a man doing good for education and generations of kids in his hometown such a damn mouth, stop using them Twitter fingers and get stuff done for our country with that pen. That was interesting. Bill Russell had quite a few things to say and in general FOX, this is what intrigues me the most about this is that LeBron now has put together all the voltron powers if you will. He's in LA. He's going to the team. That's one of the more popular teams in the league. The ring stuff. You know, he's got. He's got everything he could want from a basketball standpoint. And now with what you're seeing with the schools, which is seeing with everything else in terms of his entertainment business, he's really just turning into this kind of ever. President, you know superhero. That is doing things nobody could imagine. And if he's going after, if he's if he's legitimately involved in Ted Ted with the president, I've got to start rethinking what I think LeBron James is really going to be doing for the next ten to fifteen years of his life. Yeah. I mean, it's exciting. It's interesting. I would definitely not say that I'm more excited for his post career than I am for what's left of his his career. But I think that it's potential. It's possible that he could be as big a star and as influential going forward for the rest of his life as he hasn't been as a player was just doesn't happen for most for most athletes, I would definitely say I'm more interested in his post career than aiming his in his basketball career. I mean, I'm interested in the Lakers story simply because they're team is going to be so insane. But LeBron James has nothing to prove from a basketball standpoint to me and his moving to LA is making me much more concerned or rather interested in everything else is going on around him and turns far as team. James is concerned that barbershop show that he did pretty interesting, you know, that could get better..

"Twitter feed at USPS radio at Clinton Yates at FOX Foxworth twenty four. The president broke out the Twitter fingers, Dominique. Everybody's weekend was going just fine. Everything was moving swimmingly across America until he wrote this LeBron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television Don lemon. He made LeBron Looksmart which isn't easy to do. In wait for the kicker. I like Mike. So many things to break down here, but I'm going to start with the most important thing of all which is that you might recall when Don lemon was interviewing one tile of quietly in Ferguson many years back, he got into an argument with the ever woke telev- and he said, some people call me Don LeMond. Now ever since then I have had no choice, but to call Don lemon Don the mon- because it's just fun to say. So just know that going forward Don lemon on this program, we'll be referred to on the mind. I'm surprised that you needed Don lemon to teach you that because I feel like you do that to everybody's name, whether they were, they've been called that or not. I think that Don lemon was when he said some people call them dawn Lamont probably referring to you, you, you put a little, I guess, European style flare maybe on a good point, Don of the line is a friend of the show, but Don the Mods name is Don Amman. So that's, that's number one. Number two. Before we even get till LeBron throwing in..

"Now, this is not dissimilar to the draft where some guys don't show up. Some people want to have it at. I don't know, beat up to their hometown. Some people want to sit on their couch, some people want to do other things. If this is what leads to Canaan, not being the center of the football universe. Every single time somebody gets into the hall of fame. I am down with it FOX. I'm with you and also out thinking about this last night, I didn't watch the whole thing. I saw like part of raylucia speech. And then I watched a bunch of speeches this morning, and I was just thinking how little people want to hear other teams stars go on and on. So why not have a different ceremony in every city. I'm sure people in Baltimore were hanging on every word that Ray Lewis said, but I could feel the audience that was actually there, like kind of like I wrap it up right. You can feel that they're, which is fine because they're not there to see Ray necessarily. So, I mean, I'm sure Ken, we're not appreciate it because I'm sure it's good for them financially and just the general prestige that place to have everyone there at that moment and is probably a fun event to be around all these other stars, but the speeches like go home and do that at your college. Nobody wanna hear that they gotta find a way to modernize this thing. I mean, the way these busts revealed. Let's just hang a piece of cloth over Ted. This got printed name on it and then just pull it up. They can't even get reveal on a police system. You You know. can't make in a hook so that somebody is dragging off. It's like Scooby doo episodes of the seventies, oh, look at him. Let's pay mask off and figure out it was a crazy old guy lives up the street, who's actually the one going into all of fame, I need more modern techniques at canton. It is so indicative of what football is like, you're still just pulling cloth off of people's heads. Reveal what's going on is really crazy. What about the like? The bonus? I don't wanna call antics because I think that well, for some of them they are antics, but like a bonus stuff outside of the speech because you started by saying grown men acting like kids. I don't know that spare with exception of a couple of peoples and like you had the Ray Lewis, squirrel dance. Once again, that was his his accuser mall of his speech that you have Brian Dawkins doing his kind of weapon x crawl, action, ready moss kissed his bus in ready, MAs had on awesome tie. So I guess Randy moss, I mean, he doesn't belong his tie at least doesn't belong in that category. So of the Ray Lewis. Squirrel, dance, and the the Brian Dawkins weapon x crawl, which would you prefer? You have to choose one don't say you, okay, but you missed out on the best part, which was the ground-breaking technological advancement of the wireless mic on Reverend Ray. That is the key element here acted. This man went hands-free Hala agenda or Britney. As indicated in the break is amazing to me. Like I feel like a person who had to make that decision who worked in canton said, we're really going to do this to go wireless mic for Ray Lewis. Like what have we gotten ourselves into next thing. You know, guys are gonna come up there with entourage's and have full dance routines as they should as an moment. I mean, one, it's your moment. You can do whatever you want in to like, I would enjoy that. No, no disrespect like the speeches are. I think the speech are more for the people giving the speeches than they are for the people listening to the speeches, if that makes sense. And so that's fine. But I would be much more entertained by a choreographed number up there. Then we did have the Ray Lewis and Jonathan Ogden choreograph number is accorded graph, number doubt, emission gotta say not awesome. Well, it wasn't great, but I mean it happened..

"Dominic Foxworth yesterday we saw a bunch of grown men acting like children in canton, Ohio, getting their busts revealed and being thus enshrined into the NFL hall of fame. And of course there was one man who did not do it in Ohio. That would be one Terrel Owens who chose to do so in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he went to college because of how he felt he was put into the hall on a time line. He did not appreciate overall, give me your quick thoughts about what you what you found most intriguing from the hall of fame ceremonies and what you think about Terrell Owens as a player and as a guy for doing what he did. Yeah, I'm incomplete support and we'll start thrones of tomorrow and what he did for the hall of fame. I thought I was fine. The justification that he gave yesterday was a little convoluted, but I don't care if you wanna do your ceremony in Chattanooga. Chattanooga. You don't wanna go to Kent Ohio. I've been. I've been plenty cities in this country that I have no desire to go back to and can Ohio, probably all. One of those categories. So if I'm from Chattanooga due to Chattanooga. So I'm team to you on that one. Let's hear Terrell Owens on his twenty eighteen pro football hall of fame induction and why you decided to skip out. I want to dress the elephant in the room. Men have you maybe. Okay. Do we have that. Let me do my te'o impersonation address the elephant in the room. Men have you may be wondering why we're we're here instead of canton. There's been a lot of speculation and false reports as to why I chose not to be there. I would like to set the record straight. It's not because how many times it took me to be voted into the hall is about the mere fact that the sports writers are not in alignment with the mission and core values of the hall of fame. These writers disregarded the system, the criteria and bylaws in which guys are inducted, and also the true meaning of the hall of fame and what it represents. I wanted to take a stand. So the next guy coming after me when not have to go through what I and others have gone through, whether it's three years of forty, five years, you should get what you rightfully earned. Te'o on his hall of fame induction in Chattanooga. You're listening to the morning roasts on ESPN radio Clinton Yates Dominique. Foxworth that seemed a little bit overwrought if I'm being serious. I mean, I get it like the the case he had on his own of not wanting to be there seemed fine without taking this sort of a theoretical level as if somebody's sensibilities had been offended in the core values of the hall of fame like what? What are the core values of the hall of fame? I have no idea what that even means on screen. He can say I was mad because I don't like budget sports writers, so I'm not going to participate in your little dance. That's fine. You know, this notion that there is some higher calling of what's going on between football players and some room with a bunch of bus to me is complete nonsense Dominy. He tried to put a layer of nobility on on top of this that didn't necessarily deserve to be there because I'm not sure that the action he took. I'm with you, like you went there. You did in new because he was mad. That's fine with that. And I looked up the mission and core values the hall of fame which it does exist. So the mission is to honor the heroes of the game, preserve the history, promote its value, celebrate excellence, everywhere, values, commitment, integrity, courage, respect an excellent. So I mean, I guess I don't know. We should have. We should have some core values for this show right up a mission statement. That's definitely need to do for next week. Valid. Good. Not be on it. Yeah. So it says, promote its values, but it never. I mean, then it goes onto what the values are. So I guess he believes that they were not promoting commitment, integrity. Courage, an excellent so good for tale to yo doing the most. It'd be fair though. What I do like about what te'o did is that I'm all for starting the trend of doing different things for hall of fame speeches..

"The story i emerged about l not wanting to be in canton in having his own hall of fame speech in tennessee i just thought what how odd is that because he's an all time greats but yet he's going to do his own thing yeah but that's been that's been te'o right like this was not a shocking story to me i knew he had something up his sleeves that was going to draw ir from the critics but i don't even think you have to be a critic of teo to have issue with the decision that he had made for for the hall of fame to take the stance they're taking can you be mad at him i mean what what stands did you expect to hall of fame to take when teo so flagrantly disrespected the top honor which i believe tops any out at any other sport it's the most prestigious hall of fame man it is i just feel that that that teo does not take the opportunity to take the stage like so many other greats have taken the states now from the nfl standpoint and the hall of fame staff what you totally get it right i mean i mean what else are you supposed to do he doesn't wanna show up he doesn't want to be part of it and i just think from te'o standpoint i've watched his career then i saw him in a tearful interview with oprah and there he was trying to just understand like you know what was going through his mind yeah he's in a rough back background and in growing up and all that but you know what he came out of it as a star and i just think that instead of putting the spotlight on himself by doing this it actually darkens at spotlight for him to say now like everybody else i'm not coming to the hall of fame because i feel like i've been dissed but look they talk about the wider position that's the diva position you take t owes the first guy that when the hall of fame comes out and they announced the class you think he's the first one that feels like he he got he got the shaft or he got burned by not being in the first go round that happens all the time like he's not he doesn't stand alone in this regard and you mentioned the emotion of teo teals and emotional cat he he's overly emotional in terms of how he reacts to every every bit of obstacle to comes his way and this is the latest in unfortunately this is kind of like the final chapter of him in the spotlight and how he'll be remembered he had his dancing with the stars run that's done he's done playing this alaska to here tijuana's chance for him to punctuate a tumultuous career take away the football side because man he was great but the offthefield antics and now this is going to be how it's punctuated with one more distant chance for him who was so invested emotionally and trying to change the tide and become this lovable person could ever happen now it just can't he'll never get another opportunity hoodie jordan let's now hear from michael irvin the nfl hall of famer he agrees with the hall of fame decision regarding te'o not to.
