Said you know while we can stop wearing masks when we get everybody vaccinated and it's like okay so that that's going to be a challenge You know we've got a bond election. We got a bond here on the election this year. That's gonna be You know a challenge that we're going to have to face if it doesn't pass but You know it's a challenge. I'm willing and ready to take on to help You know help offset this growth. These support that by. I don't support the bond this year and there is a movement of folks that are not going to support the bond and and really you know there's a saying right now going around right bond wrong board and that's pretty much how it is. You know when you have school district. You have board members and and a superintendent in the district. That says hey. He don't like our rules. Go somewhere else but we still want your tax dollars to build a school. That doesn't set well with a lot of folks and on top of that. You know wins. There's always been torius for taxing spin you know. Let's let's take money from everybody and build things but there's no creativeness around it and there have been opportunities for charters to come into the school district and the district Behind the scenes of said. Nope don't even try and You know those are things that help alleviate the amount of money you need for bond so maybe instead of one hundred eighty million maybe only need one hundred and thirty million you know Nobody's denying the fact. That growth is happening in windsor. Because it is it's just how do we be creative so the taxpayers aren't fit in the bill for everything that the school district needs tank could learn from your life experiences that you would bring to this job. It never does go all right. So what do we need to now. We do know according to a release that you very kindly set out that Ballots are dropping today right. That is correct. I am actually driving down to the denver general mail facility right now to meet our truck. That's been locked and secured with our twenty eight pallets of ballot to watch them get inserted into the maelstrom today. Wow okay so that takes us back in. Sorry don't mean to go back in time but to that very contentious. A presidential election and Well the allegations and accusations of voter integrity or lack thereof and fraud. Absolutely flu but wives we talked about before carly Colorado is the blue ribbon standard when it comes to election integrity. That is correct. I mean we you know you've been so generous of letting me on and talk about this a lot so i appreciate that about you. Know we have so many checks and balances throughout the whole entire process including right now. I know exactly how many outside this truck i know. Exactly how many pallets. On this truck. We have tracked the truck from the print vendor to the general mail facility and we've been in constant communication with the driver and so this is just part of the security measures that we do to make sure that our ballots are secure and that that nobody is tampering with them. We've been trying to continue to build as many people. Have this information about what actually happens with your election and what we do in the elections year round not just during election time and so we wanted to put this page together so on well those dot com under new trust at election information. And this literally takes you through every single step of the process and we wanted to make sure that this is readily available for everybody and that it takes five ten minutes of your time to have you go through the whole entire process and it really gives a good general information also what we add it on. There is giving you resources and tools on how to spot missing disinformation so when people are actually trying to fool you into these very creative ideas that they have you're able to intelligently identify them so we're also giving people those resources as well you remember sharpie gate just crossed my mind scale. Ptsd they serve such happy fund. Now oh there's fun yes all right. So what do we need to know. I mean for example. If we need to check our boater status are run us through these service and polling center information as well. That's right so if you want to make sure that we still have your accurate information please visit gogo. Colorado dot gov. You can look yourself up and you can see exactly what style you're going to be getting. You're going to be seeing exactly what address we're going to be sending your ballot to. It also gives you some tracking information once again weld county is going to be using ballot tracks so you can make sure and track your ballot from today as soon as it starts hitting the mainstream and all the way to your mailbox and all the way back to us. We think it's a really value added to all of the voters. Here in low county again. You can also visit well. Votes dot com for all of our in person voting locations. Those won't open for a while but all of our twenty four hour dropbox is do open today. Just say this but you really know that these off year elections are the ones that i really feel are the most important because again. This has the most direct impact on your individual self. I mean these are your school boards. These are your town city council and these are your local questions and these really are the elections. "That's the intent isn't it. yes it in the name of climate change. We're going to kill oil and gas production in the united states but that doesn't decrease our need to use oil and natural gas. It just means we import it from russia and opec in saudi arabia and iran. And all those kind of friendly countries and then let's talk a little bit about Nancy pelosi's latest entree into the pork market With this presidio. It's it's it's really hypocrisy because right now. Oil and natural gas provides about two point eight billion in conservation and national parks funding every year. So we have the source of conservation funding and parks funding yet. Nancy pelosi wants to kill this industry but at the same time in this conciliation bill. There's three point five trillion spending package She wants two hundred million for the presidio. Which is a park in her district. That is supposed to be self sustaining. Because it has nice swanky golf courses in office stations and hotels and it's supposed to be revenue generating and all these profit generating Businesses are in the park Yes suddenly congress needs to give two hundred million dollars to it. Just doesn't make sense. Absolutely and i mean once again at the very epitome of bringing home the bacon. I have to wonder kathleen now joe. Manson has ruffled democrat feathers. Before when it comes to their rather spend ways and i suppose i should probably include republicans in that equation as well so much for Conservative spending habits on both sides of the equation. But you have to wonder is Senator mansion going to hold his ground or when it comes to this budget reconciliation bill. Is he going to fold like a cheap suit. Well we don't know at this point. I think it was a pretty clear indication by writing an op-ed that Something's got to change so now. The three point five trillion become two point five trillion. You know i. I'll absolutely and even those of us who weren't there. I think got in touch with our inner child as well and it just. I don't know just gave me reason for pies with all of the angst and all the uncertainty in the anger that we have seen in this country it. It made me grateful. I really had some moments of gratitude. And that's why i wanted to share it with you this morning because i was texting you last night and i'm like i get it on such girl romanticized off. I think the wonderful thing about baseball and not to take anything away from from football or hockey or basketball or any of the other great sports that are out there. But you know i think baseball. Has this magical ability that allows it to uniquely connect people unlike anything else and i think last night was an example of it. I think we've seen it in other events and other ways Related to baseball before the hall of fame induction. I think is always a wonderful thing to watch and obviously for rockies fans coming up next month. That's going to be a big day for for them for for larry walker to be inducted into the hall of fame. I think that's gonna be terrific but you know baseball again. We we could go on and on about the mistakes that they make and some of the things that they do that sometimes irritate. Not just part of the the fan group but all of the fan group but quite frankly last night i think We saw something pretty darn special and even though a good deal of it was orchestrated probably months and maybe even years ago they made they made it work. They made it work and it brought us all back to the magical part of baseball. Absolutely question is are the rockies going to make it work. And i know we had hoped to get into that conversation. You're right we've we've seen Multiple outcomes right. we've seen maybe some regression we've seen increase in behavior challenges on the phone so much We've seen parents who are just hall so tired and i get it because going back and forth from virtual learning to in person to also being a time employees and a and a mom and dad and whatever that might mean for some of these families I think one of the big messages.
