"All right. Okay. I can tell you're impatient. We will get today. Let's hear first from Peter gross the Brown theatre in Louisville Kentucky, which describes itself as the grand Dom of Louisville's artistic community prides itself on presenting exceptional theatrical experiences and on Saturday the audience was treated to a truly unique event. The single worst performance of the musical the wiz anyone had ever seen almost every element of the production. Was cursed starting with the costumes, according to one audience member the shows Dorothy was wearing dress that was quote, clearly from WalMart. Another patron told reporters that the cowardly lions costume didn't include a tail or a main and he was missing one of his paws, which he made up for covering his hand with a black sock. He didn't even look like a lion reported. This budding Ben Brantley he looked like a dumb sasquatch, then there was the crew which set up for the wrong seen several times then had to quickly scurry to reset for the correct seen after the lights came up revealing their mistake on the back. Wall of the set was an image of a cornfield in a barn projected from a laptop which lent a nice touch until notification said to that laptop kept popping up over the image of the cornfield a giant tab asking. If you want to download the latest version of windows, ten kind of takes you out of the reality of being in Kansas. So does the actress playing Dorothy saying she wants to go back to Texas, which is something that also happened during the top of all that in the whizz Dorothy isn't even from Kansas. She's from Harlem where you're more likely to see Ted Cruz sitting at a barbershop talking about the OJ's than you are to see a cornfield at a barn. Suffice to say there were few friends of Dorothy in Louisville last Saturday night, it did break one box office record, though, people began walking out only nine minutes into the show spokesman for the theater declined to say how many angry calls they received. But that's probably because all the phones in the theater were replaced with black socks the staff. Purchase at WalMart. Production of the wiz. So terrible. People began demanding phones after just nine minutes. "You ready to play? I am. Let's do it. Your first, quote is from text journalist says he got this week. He spoke to Robert Mullen night teen times. So you can call your mother every now, and then the journalist says he got that from his mom the day. It was revealed. Who had spoken to Robert Muller? A total of nineteen times. Zaps right, Robin. I'm so glad that even though you've been in our countries. Such a short time, you've learned all of our felons. We've been waiting for Robert Muller to reveal what he's been doing for a year and a half. It's like the world's longest pregnancy in this week. Robert Muller's water broke. On tuesday. Robert Muller filed a motion about former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, which said basically since Flynn has been so incredibly helpful telling us all kinds of things you shouldn't go to prison. What did he say? We don't know most of it was redacted whole paragraphs blacked out. But you could tell from context like a quote, and then Mr Flynn told us that president Donald J blank. Said blank about how much he blanks Vladimir blank. And he said the president most certainly Kalou blanked. You know, what Paul much of a conspiracy theorist? But I I have a growing belief that Muller could have been done for a while. But he has an investment in digestive aids. He's like, basically he bought he bought a huge stock position in maalox. Yeah. Exactly. He's trying tension that what you mean Santa Kat, and those kinds of I. Wait a second. You are the one who you're mentioning actual brand names on National Public Radio. Maybe you're in the pocket of big cod. Because I haven't heard somebody say. Steeple. Do they say you're just not in the room, and they say. You have to believe that if NPR actually tried to do a product placement we'd end up with Zeneca. Telling you I have such a stomach ache from Jess waiting every day. And you know, I make the mistake of watching MSNBC like a lot of times in a hotel room. When I arrive I'll put it on. I tell myself just while I'm unpacking. And then I just I just can't turn it off. It's the panels. It's the constant handles. Well, here's the thing panels killing me, here's the thing. So like, I said, this document came out in everything interesting was redacted, you could not read it, but like CNN still invited on ten panelists on their over a Chiron breaking news. None of these people know anything steel day speed. Well, rob, Robin. Your next quote is from Joe Biden gaffe machine that was Mr. Biden explaining why he is the most qualified guy around to do what become the next president of the United. Yes. Indeed. That's what he is talking about. Just a couple of weeks after the midterms the race for the White House. Twenty twenty is on so many people are publicly musing about running that it is easier to just count the people who are who we know are not running so far that is former Massachusetts Governor develop, Patrick, and George H W Bush. Probably couldn't get elected as a Republican today. So. Biden will be seventy eight in twenty twenty Bernie Sanders who was also in it to win. It will be seventy nine all the people running in the next election. We'll be people who can't actually run. Old and is saying that he's going to run as Mike Bloomberg. Bloomberg is seventy six yes. He's gonna run. Why would Mike Bloomberg go to Iowa just hang out? It'd be like. You think I might buy some of this place? What are you have? You have corn on by some corn. Now speculation has also increase that Ohio. Senator Sherrod Brown might be running. Why? And this is true because he's already in Ohio. It's true doesn't it to go? But the reason people think he's actually getting ready to run for president. And I'm not kidding is because he is finally combed his hair. Hearing this Bernie Sanders asked wait,.

"So cozy as kinda comfortable, he's not bad. On my stool, good good to know, the the the whose idea was it to Gebran back Murphy back because I remember hearing people had been talking about it. Ask from time to time. Would we wanna bring it back? In dining, listen, I who are friends would talk to what we did it this point. And and then no we thought there is a point if the election had gone differently. We would not have brought it back. But so because of Trump that it's back. Yes. Is that what you're saying? Yes, it is. Has he reacted to not at all? He's he's been smart. Of course, we would've loved nothing better. But no he hasn't. He's been quiet. So he's out of office next year. Then the show goes off there. It would be a small price to pay. The you was actually included in the first episode of the season show, a clip if that's okay. Just couldn't take the pressure anymore. Right. You needed a break. So I took one. But after a while I wanted to go back to work, and he took that job. We told you not to thought it would be a piece of cake, but I was wrong so wrong two years on the view nearly killed me. Those women. Abet stubbing every day episode of game of thrones. Yeah. We'll check on that. Up. So well, the regional Murphy Brown was just so groundbreaking, and you handle these issues like harassment being single mom, and you say women's still come up to you. And thank you for covering those topics. Will they think they think me because I'm the visible part of our Brown? They think me for dealing with breast cancer because their mothers had breast cancer. They think me because Murphy inspired them to become the television producer, a TV journalists that that they had wanted to be but wouldn't have dared to be otherwise. And they they they say that it was a wonderful experience to watch the show with their their mom. And so it's people have been very appreciative. And then that continues, which is great you pave the way for a lot of story lines, which is great. You're honest and L two weeks ago to honor Jona hill into what they call the five timers host club. Here. Also part of us show of this. You get your butt in here. Jona welcome to the five timers club. Oh, no. I'm not Seth Rogan. And that's not the same guy. As the new guy, very familiar, and they work candy. Sure. So. Nothing that not everyone may know about you. But you were the first woman to ever host third host of her. I did the third show. And I was the first woman does I mentioned that to to drew air wars. We were backstage waiting for our race. And she said, I was the youngest host. I was seven. And Steven Spielberg and Robin Williams were in the audience to support me. And I never mentioning the story. So out class, but take us back to that moment as being the first woman, what was going through your mind at the time. Well at the time, I was just paying excees. I mean, I'm not thinking about being the first woman. I'm just trying to survive. I mean when you're standing on that the lip of that stage, and you have been the late goes red in the queue, you just go. Lawrence said, it was like the expression that Patty Hearst must have had when the SLA rang her door, and she opened. So you it's it's just immense terror the first time, and you got Belushi and all. Gene, Curtin, your new win to be what you know. I'm really thrilled about this. Because you it was naturally going to get your first star on the Hollywood mock of fame next year, I want to put my two cents in because I I'm hoping they put your next to your day. Well, thank you. We'll be that's what we're hoping to. So I I all yeah. That'll work s I think I think there's no reason why they can't and congratulations by the way is the famous ventriloquists Ed suburban who had a famous dummy named Charlie McCarthy. We we grew up with it. You have to be over, sir. Yes. But you know, we always have to be of a certain way. Listen, congratulations on the show. We thank you for coming. You have to come back, and we'll hang out some more, and we don't mind being part of Murphy Brown. Yeah. Proud. It's a joke. We can take trust. So.

"Vendors for at least her up some favorites from Oprah's gift, Liz, I believe you're gonna love promise. So. This woman wrote an op Ed in the New York Times saying she wished someone had had the top with her about menopause before she turned forty five. Clearly, she's never been one of my shows because she said she had no idea what hit her now. I'm I think there's lots of things that women are sort of surprise by. So I'm asking you is this something you wish somebody had told you about that came as a shock. On the panel. Right. That just turned fifty. So I guess I'm about to experience all these lovely things. Well, good luck. I know you've been in it you've been in, you know, about Perryman, Nepal. But I I don't have any feelings of horror stories. Yes. No. No, no. It's just telling me, you got joy. Yeah. Well, let's nightmare. Good comes of menopause, in my opinion. I don't oh. Being able to wear white pants all you through. About. I I told you what be I have felt kinda hot it nightly. Not like sexy like sweaty hot. I thought my mom went to the same thing. And then she really in front of the fridge all day. And then she Ord this massive fan that like barely fitting their room. My dad was like on. Not not I'm not sweaty or anything. But I'm not right. And you said that men do not have to give birthday don't have menopause. They have make a data. A N genitalia. But that's that's and yet. If you ask in herbs them, if you ask any woman, would you have to be a man, they always say, no, no why that's my husband's actually to sell. Well, let's get back to the other part. Is there anything that somebody should've told you like you getting birth right? They always tell you the prep four what to buy for the nursery. No, one tells you the the physical realities of I've said on the show like leaving the hospital literally in a diaper. Yeah. That you can't go to bathroom for like a month after you leave. I know this is real stuff that didn't happen to me. But it's painful, and you still very pregnant for a while era. New Delano, Harry, baby. They don't tell you that. When you go to sleep at night, just for anyone who's gonna go through this you get up in the morning, the whole bed sopping wet because it's your hormones that are. So I I have to believe it somewhat similar menopause in some ways because the hormones in the imbalances that exists in the body, joy joy. I. My life really tall. I hate it. I hate it. I went through it for twenty minutes. I went through. I'm still limit to my mother was in it for six years with Honey, I could beat that. But I at twenty three years now, it's been I'm menopause, twin explain it away to global warming all the time. Something else is going on with my hot. I'm still hot yet based how long take you to go into puberty. What does that got to do with? Well, because it's the other end of it. No, puberty begins all of the who am I late that lasting? So I never know twenty two years a little over the top think thing. School. I'm not going to chunk it up can't relate to this. How about winning? Well, no child having gone through menopause. I'm sorry. What about I literally have nothing? You went to Huby. How was that? Fine. I mean. Well, maybe this is what's happening with one of the Stewart because she just took her very first, she's pose arriving. And it didn't go very well. Apparently, she does that she ordered the most expensive call, but it showed him ten minutes late half went down the blacks. So she couldn't see the life of plate. It came from the wrong direction. Edna. Call was mess inside. Then the nice I'd and it just wasn't you know, it wasn't up to you. Being the women. That's can't snoop Dogg driver. I can't such money. Why does she have to call Hoover? That dirty to be it just leaves in it..

"Great job. I mean, I think everyone that's ever done. It has been like great now. I don't have to do it again. I don't think I mean, the whole time I called it a homework assignment. She became a household name after the event though as a lot of people, and you know, one I can remember Stephen Colbert doing it. So it I disagreed with her actually do think like as much as I don't like the dinner integrate platform for a comedian. So, you know, and it's also a fundraiser for the holiday journalists for young journalists. I mean, so I hope we liked to that part. No. I don't really killed. It those events was Obama. He was no comedian would follow him. He is hilarious. He's self deprecating. Reagan when invade our that too was funny. Obama was like, I actually I don't know. I enjoy the White House correspondents dinner. I think it's fun. You get to see your colleagues, and I think the comedian was a highlight for for for many of us, and it was also a highlight though, when the president came back after being roasted, and then roasted the media, unfortunately, because of the relationship that you see now between this administration and the media life is not it's law last year got so in my opinion. I didn't think Michelle wolf was was funny. And I thought it got so personal attacking Sarah Sanders and others that I just I couldn't imagine that happening with like the Obama White House or people can either him. But it's a lot of people a lot of people to me. It wasn't funny at all. It was moored. What did we rule? I watched the whole thing I was working working up in the room. But also depends on whether or not you like anyone in the Trump administration. You know, you take it with. Yeah. With the lengths that you view it in and Sarah Santa's should have ridden with it. She looked Pissy. Down. She didn't get the worst of the Joe she didn't the working panel got the worst gotta lie. I'm not not going gonna win the meeting got a lot to I mean. But there you went media medians that are off the record. I mean, I would say the gridiron dinner with a median people now to keep their mouth shut not tweeting about it. That's the secret. And like we've talked about this with roasts here at what is the friars club. Sometimes if you want to make fun of one another I'm one hundred percent down for that. Sometimes you just don't want. It tweeted about don't want everyone in the world, not televise. Maybe the none of these roles should be televised. I should never be televised. Because those roasts are supposed to suppose to get roasted by your friends. They will know you love will love. Yeah. And once you put it in the public ear everybody responds. Everybody has something to say about it. I know a little something about this. It's a it's a it's I've always felt that these roasts. Are they are for the people feels different in the room that with the with the dinner with Trump is that nobody loves him the comedians. Don't. So you have to love the President Trump's the president people don't like these in the countries, he's he doesn't get a her gets no sense of humor. Why would you talk about him a bunch of press in the room self aggrandizing each other talking about oh, we hate Trump? He's whatever it really is. What is feeding his base. They hate the media. They hate they hate this. This is not about his base. This is about it. He's he's the coverage of it and season. It's the base again. What do you will? I've just trying to explain it as usual. Saying like, you wanna know what some people in the middle of the country are like, I mean, it's mind just lost the house. He's going down..

"Hey, don't forget about Bernie Sanders that is and Juneau hill. Have a lot to say. And air comes clear is Beth. Yes. It's a must seek new oh month long day though, right here on ABC. Dimmer head Murphy Brown star Candice Bergen. Maybe. Came onto five once you m she last White House correspondents dinner and next year. They will not be inviting a comedian to lead the proceedings authoring. Presidential biographer rancher now, we'll speak. Instead now is this a good move. He's hilarious. Cler easy on dry. So I don't know what that means. I know he writes about Alexander. Hamilton is great by putting I was thinking because the other day didn't watch the comic that said Democrats have no sense of humor. Oh, yeah. Yesterday. Allen. Maybe why didn't they invite Tim? There's a lot of comedians. What a great. He would. They should understand that comedians on the side of the press. Basically, we're all about free speech to call. The get rid of the comedians is a stupid stupid move in my opinion. I wonder why they did it mean, it seemed sort of like a cowardly moved to me because flicks I thought so I just because it's been you know, it's it's been a tradition. Not since it started in nineteen twenty one. But it's been a tradition since the eighties, and I just sort of cable this president can't take he's a little too thin skin. So can you change the entire tradition because you somehow want him to show up like I couldn't figure out then get why they did it. Could go on ten minutes on wise of Trump is afraid of the rain. That's hilarious, right thing. I think they made the decision because of president, you know, because I don't think he's gonna show up this year because this historians gonna come and talk about the importance of freedom of the press. Whereas which is also sort of hit at the president in its own way. If anything I think it's a hit to the reporters that go because this is like the Oscars for reporters in media. It's like the moment where they feel like celebrities, and when you get the comedian there, they wait to see if they're going to call up the network with reporters, they feel like important in that moment. And so now, I just don't think it's going to be fun people. Go to sense of humor is jeopardy right now. Yeah. So binding site the dumbest event, and I'm sorry. Michelle wolf came on this very show last year after she didn't she said, we have a clip she said, she didn't care if no comedian ever did it. Again, her words, how would you feel if you killed another comedian job? I don't care..

"Pretty here's what I would say because my dad being the bachelor Russia like I think the biggest threat to our democracy into our elections is are the Russians or the Chinese are people that are trying to hack into our systems into our emails, and so no, I don't think there's like a gray area in terms of when you get a formal Email in the White House use that because they're going to get into your emails what I will say because I know of a little bit I've exchanged emails on White House account, and and Texanol that she's as scripted as they come. So if Democrats are going to use their time because I think they've talked about trying to investigate this. There's enough to investigate there's really going to be no there there, then I wouldn't be shocked if there was other than. Ammiel were about her kids scheduling. But it didn't take Bagri. Is a different. I mean, I think it's critical when I think when you're one of your dad's tagline, his lock her up specifically about an Email controversy that you do you should know the difference for that reason alone. I will say let us not forget Hillary had emails deleted by a computer specialist amid a congressional investigation as she had her aides smash devices with a hammer does that. Does that make it does it make a different both things are on? I just trying to explain the Republican side of this. But, but it provoked the question does that change the fact that people are using their personal emails, regardless of what how they did it. But does it change the fact that they're using personal males during an investigation is still different and smashing devices with a hammer having age to it till me is still different. So I think it's hypocritical. One hundred percent think she should have known better one hundred percent, but I agree with adding on this one we should be more concerned about and my father said this when a car alarm is going off every day, you get desensitized to what's really important. What would should be most fearful of the fact that our president is still using his personal phone about that much more than I? Chose this while we're talking I think shoes that it's in the new I think it's very actually I don't think that this would not be one topic. I would choose for this show today if given the opportunity it's absolute, well, here's how. Get so focused on what the headline is that day. And I think what I'm trying to say is the bigger picture my jacket us, Josh. Didn't she gets? I have heard giving her past. But of all the things I was saying of Democrats that could be something that important. I I the greatest of national. I take. Chinese more emails, and that's exactly why the board. All right. "A man in the world of television guess what's what's old is new in all these shows over roseanne and will and grace and now magnum pi reboot now murphy brown now we we will murphy brown fan back in the day this burg and i watched it think gonna bring candice bergen are they going to be the star of murphy brown question that's a great question tom but you can't bring tom selleck back to be in magnum pi can you well bringing these shows back not going to be in a car is going to be an ambulance oh that premiered in nineteen eighty with celik it was fun magnum pi no now they're going to give the the role that magnum they're gonna give it to jay hernandez an american actor of mexican descent that'll apply thompson my friend robert roar coups a very good television reporter at the new york post he has written an article about this and he just he just thinks that there's a bankruptcy of imagination out on the part of nbc or a network executives that they're just recycling old stuff because they can't come up with anything we can't compete with net flicks and hulu an hbo the places that are doing really innovative and groundbreaking work the one that should bring back a seinfeld but i mean you know you're tapping into people's memories and will and grace has been a success in renewed roseanne is a big success so now they're gonna try with murphy brown when they tap into your memory they'll be bringing back car fifty four hopefully spanning the world i like to bring back to that hey this is my favorite story of the day alison kloss a teenager she couldn't find a date to her prom and pennsylvania so she she brought a cardboard cutout of danny devito as her dates dan it has a she has a tie draped around the cutout another one picture of hers he's got a boa draped around him actually she decided on danny because he's a cheap date cardboard cutouts of other celebrities declare alarm works cardboard cutout of daddy to veto for one hundred bucks on amazon so danny was a cheap date that's why.
