Building Healthy Stepfamilies with guest Ron Deal
"Throw a monkey wrench in an already tough situation. Now, you've got dad who's the Bio Dad living in another home and you've got step dad and mom living a home. MOM AND DAD scenario I, see a lot mom and step dad believe that. Kids. Should have curfews and You know boyfriends and girlfriends don't live in the home and but then the kids go over to bio DADS and they don't have to go to bed till one in the morning and dad's got a live in girlfriend. And a mom and Stepdad don't believe in that. Help those tears get on the same page or can they? Okay. So let's let's just acknowledge that. Death or divorce followed by a marriage that forms a blended family, means you have less parental power as one single parent than if you were in a unified family situation. There's no way we can ever recover what has been lost in that sense. What we can do is find as many ways as possible to cooperate between households to try to come to similar similar expectations for the children. But somebody right now is laughing their head off because they just heard that they said you have no idea what to deal within the other. And there's no way that's ever GonNa Happen I. Get it, right? Yeah, and in in those situations. Okay. You tried you manage your home. You teach. You talk you build character. You have morals and values that you're trying to instill in your children. You live up to those and you manage your home knowing full well that when they go home, they're gonNA stay up late tonight, get enough sleep. They're not GONNA get the math homework done and it is going to ripple conflict and some stress back into your life it comes with the territory. But you just manage your home as best. You can always leaving open. The possibility that God may do another miracle in that other parents life, and someday they may come to see the light and WanNa. Know what time should bedtime be. Your calls are you print? But. Honestly, it is a stressful situation when that happens I I've often compared. You know the goal of co-parenting. is trying to cooperate regarding the other home as best you can. Because you WANNA, make it easy for children to move between homes. They're not caught in the middle of some war that's going on between the adults if if you're Canada and the other homes the US. Hey, it's all good. Yeah Yeah. We we do have a different money system. Government different health insurance right. But we love each other. We like each other we get along. You can cross the border pretty easily. It's all good. But if the other home is North Korea. And you're the US. You got a whole lot of politicking going on a whole lot of agendas being worked. It is far more difficult for the children to actually show up in either of those places and feel loved and feel safe and not feel like they've got a report on the other country, and it is what it is like you do what you can, what's within your power. Love will to manage well to be consistent to your rules and guidelines. What happens when Suzy's thirteen mom and Stepdad have a fairly strict home? She's not too keen on step dad and says, I'm going to go live at Dad's because he's a lot nicer. He doesn't have rules. You. Do you let her go or? Let's play that out. Yeah. If I'm mom in that situation. The first thing I want to do is dial back my panic. That? Yeah. Yeah. Everything inside you just went. No, that can't happen. I don't want you to go. Why would you WANNA leave. That makes me feel. So Oracle and you turn all that down and you don't let that get the best take a deep breath and you go so tell me What is it that you're needing? Once what's happening? That's making you feel like you need to do that and you go right back to the child and you try to listen and hear and understand, and maybe it's just because Dan is cool video games. It might just be that. But. Maybe it could be that deeply doesn't feel safer. Loved for whatever reason. And you do have something that you really need to address like. So you gotTa Listen I. I will say this I've written article about parenting, a step parenting in parenting teenagers I do think for some children, there is this natural longing to want to spend a little time with their other biological parent, that is a legitimate need. Do think that is something that if you talk and listen and explorer in its, there's nothing manipulative going on here. This is not a challenge is trying to get the best to you or put went over on anybody. They just have an authentic need to spend more time with dad. Thank, you might have to accommodate for a season. Now, if there's some sort of agenda or manipulation or. One. No. I don't think you just give in to that I. Think you address what's the problem you address what? we want you here. We WanNA keep custody of the way it is. We want to pursue that solicit try to address what's happening so that the need to move to another home goes away

Bytes and Pieces: Americas Chinese-Tech Attack
"As the heads of Amazon Alphabet facebook and apple were being berated in Congress, last month how many competitors did facebook ended up copying we called it Amazon heroin. Why does bny steel content from honest businesses tiktok the goofy funny video sharing app was having an altogether better time of it. Golden. Do. Not, so much anymore we're looking at Tiktok we may be banning TIKTOK. Thursday the trump. Issued a deadline of September twentieth for ending all American transactions bite dense to talks parent company as well as with. China's second most valuable, Tech Company ten cent with Para companies based in China apps like Tiktok we chat and others are significant threats to personal data of American citizens not to mention tools for CCP content censorship. China's government called the executive orders a nakedly hegemonic? act. By dense is looking for a fire sale buyer for some of its international Tiktok operations and it seems Microsoft is checking pockets. But the administration's zeal is likely to harm America's interests as well as the Chinese tech champions. We knew a band was in the offing at is still everyone by surprise Thompson booth is the economists technology and business editor I. Think most people were expecting president trump to wait until a a TIKTOK deal had gone through to reach a resolution on whether there would be a ban on not and it's also quite surprised that he's gone after we chat and tencent. And the reaction from the two companies has been quite strong. Bite dance has said that it's GonNa fight the executive orders in court. Well, as you say, there had been some expectations around Tiktok by dense. Why? Why was ten cents included in the end? Well there isn't a certain unfortunate logic to this. If you're going to say that you're concerned about Tiktok on national security and espionage grounds, you sort of have to be consistent and we chat has about nine hundred, million daily users in the US and the executive order basically bans people from making transactions on we chat which it's a sort of super APP. That is really widely used in in China and Chinese diaspora what is the trump administration's rationale for these orders? Do you think so the stated reason from the administration is the Chinese government is spying on Americans and hear the evidence is Circumstantial. So the worry is that Chinese spy agencies have stolen massive consumer data sets from various companies over the past ten years. So from Mariot Equifax anthem health insurance TIKTOK has been downloaded two billion times. It's the mother of data sets. There is no hard evidence that bite dance would ever cooperate in such an endeavor but the idea is that if you've got engineers with access to Tiktok by Don, service than the government could lean on them to get the information out. So that's the stated reason from the trump administration. Think that's enough for the American government to threaten to ban the APP. I gather from investors case to buy dance at the real reason is a level playing field issue as much as the spying concern. So one gathered that in particular. Mark, Zuckerberg of facebook has been outlining pointing out to trump that take talk is wildly successful in the US and yet facebook google than allowed into China. It's sort of the idea of why should tech top able to come to compete with us when we can't do so in the other direction? And as things stand now, Microsoft is the evidence suitor for for Tiktok operations at least in a in a few countries what's in it for them? I think for Microsoft is really stunning opportunity on their part. So bite dance reckons that the TIKTOK US asset is worth in the realm of two hundred billion dollars oversee the pudding, very generous estimate on that. So the price being talked about now that Microsoft might pay and that it's on the block for more life fifteen, forty billion. So it's just a real steel in terms of the price. I'm talking to the hottest social media property out there right now it's uses incredibly highly engaged and Microsoft you out of stroke gets into territory of the social, the digital media giants, and it gets a massive data set on teenagers daters the new oil. Attack, there is lots of sketches in the Microsoft just is kind of getting out of its core competence that it won't really know how to get and keep the teenagers. The other risk for Microsoft is just kind getting dragged into the Mile Strom of content moderation and hate speech and all this kind of stuff that attracts more political scrutiny and then regulatory scrutiny having said that Microsoft is regarded as a really high quality acquirer of businesses it generally tends to do it quite well. Microsoft. CEO Sachin Adela notably is currently probably regarded as the best big taxi. Oh so now we've got this deadline of September twentieth what happens between now and then Firstly, Microsoft going to carry on negotiating to try and buy Tiktok we're seeing more suitors for Tiktok on the scene over the weekend the reports that twitter is definitely interested I know that Netflix's on the coolest the venture capital backers of Bite Don's possibly even Disney I do think the likeliest thing is still the Microsoft probably strikes a deal just because it's got the deepest pockets will also be really interesting to see whether Microsoft manages to get more markets at. The moment, it's only going for the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. It's not buying the UK having the actual executive order from trump will create more uncertainty around Tiktok and there's no doubt that it is already harming the asset. It's no joke said, the clock really is taking on that deal and what about ten cents? It's unclear. What ten cents is going to do it's unlikely to try and sell international we chat as by dance is doing with Tiktok. It's possible that it could come up with some kind of structure to address. US concerns. It's a complete unknown how tencent now is going to react but I guess the question is, is the right way for America to get its concerns addressed with a problem with. It so far as that feels completely sort of ad hoc on his whim. Really undermines investor confidence in the US is the place of the rule of law. And there are alternatives and I think there's three main steps that we would advocate versus to strengthen the vetting procedure that's already in place. So the Committee on foreign investment in the US surface that probes should stop properly and quickly. So in the case of Tiktok and musically the US APP that bike dance bought therefore triggering this whole situation, they took two years to start looking at it and then did it in a rush which guarantees Robert chaotic ad, hoc situation. And overwhelmingly, the US needs to tighten up its own data privacy regime. So the reason that tiktok is such. A worry in terms of spying theoretically is that US firms, your facebook's Google's and so on her normalized that the slurping just masses of personal data from Americans. So what's required is a strong federal data privacy law. The third element is displayed to you can do in. Terms of requiring transparency into the Algorithms being used auditing code that's coming in from overseas for now, the question for those two billion or so people who've downloaded tiktok whether their favourite platforms going to survive or whether the current chaotic procedure that has affected, the company will mean it. It's rivals take it over and teens leave. Thanks very much for your time Tamsin it's been a pleasure.

The Tic Tac will argue that the executive order is unconstitutional and a lawsuit expected to be filed as soon as Tuesday. Tic TAC is gonna argue that it was never given any chance to respond to the concerns that are spelled out in Trump's executive order. Typically, there is some kind of prior notice. "Lord Terry here, happy Father's Day to all of the fathers out. There Hope you have a wonderful day in celebrate. While the way that you enjoyed celebrate father's Day although I imagine this year, it's a little different with the whole. Social physical distancing so in any case hope we're having wonderful father's Day I want to cover two quick things today normally on Sundays, I do a question from the community and we will get to that, but I I promise that I would give you my favorite father's Day command, or saying Lexi, and that simply well. There's actually two of them one is. Lexi do celebrate father's Day, and she will give you a clue to my favorites, which is this one Lexi rap for father's Day and she's got a new rap. Just for all. You dads out there all right now. Let's get to the question today, and really it's a series of questions, and it's all about the new echo auto that has come out just. Just recently just this past week, and it is now available in Canada and there is a lot of buzz about this on the facebook community. If you're not part of our community, go to AOL e x a in Canada dot ca slash community and Janet McKay Thompson who I posted about it, and there are tons and tons of questions about this What I'll tell you is this I can't cover all these questions today 'cause. There's too many but what I want to tell you. Is that I've had this device now for a while because I did manage to get it shipped to the US when I was, there had it in my car and I just ended up on the Canadian account. It was very very easy to set up I'll tell. Tell you that very simple it connected essentially automatically it played a test sound through my Bluetooth connection to my car, so that the sound of Lexi's actually coming through the speakers of the car style was pretty cool as well all the see the thing. Is that that with with the echo auto over the other ones? It's going to require a source of data because you're not on Wifi around. So it does connect to your phone, and that's how it connects to the Internet. So that's one of the big differences now having said all that we're going to cover a ton more about the echo auto product this. Tuesday on the podcast I have a very senior person from Amazon who is scheduled to be appearing on the podcast with me to talk specifically about echo auto, and about it coming. Coming to Canada so stay tuned for that I'll have more information about this week and also talk a little bit more about the features of the echo as as week progresses a do WanNa remind you one of the thing, and that is the voice end that is happening on Wednesday. It's completely free. thanks to the sponsorship of Amazon. LEXI and is happens at five. PM Pacific Eight PM Eastern. Gore seat at the voiced end dot com, going to be lots of fun, got a couple of surprises in there, and I hope I see there okay, have a great day. I'll talk to you. A. BRIEF CAST DOT FM..

"I am speaking withdrew cost grow. He has produced many many Lexi skills specifically games and in fact he actually has twenty six of these live in Canada. He has more when you look at them. Spread out throughout the world and You know why he has more and other places is actually part of the topic of this discussion so we talk about two of his top games. Which actually in the top ten in Canada and we talk about some of his thoughts on being developers some of the challenges and where he plans to go with all this in the future so I really excited to introduce you to drew and with any further ado. Let's get right to the interview hated drew. It's a real pleasure to have you on the Alexina podcast. Thanks so much for being here. Thank you Terry. It's thrilling to the poor cost. I've listened to the show for years now so it's really good to be here to speak to person that's great. That's great well. You are not in Canada but we are going to be speaking about Canadian content. Where are you right now? So the listeners. Know where you're calling from Edinburgh in Scotland to the mall. So that's that's I'm based under. Yes so I've got quite a few games successful and kind of divine and Edinburgh. Okay wonderful. Well let's let's get a little of your background your story so I'll get you introduce yourself to to. Listeners tells a little bit about yourself okay. So I've been involved in. It in comparison for many years But why was finding was I was losing my technical skills? Is it become more and more senior? You become more and more away from the technical things which are quite interesting so I decided to re skill myself and this culminated in. How could I prove identity expresses when the device came out in the UK? I decided well I am going to build an Alexa skill. And so I built like go on scully. Animal letters which was a game that my Sister played with our kids and impressed me about the game was the seemed to even with teenagers. Who still played this game so the game is basically you pick a letter of the alphabet and then you go round in a circle. Each person guess an animal starting with letter so I can meet Linton Alexa skill because Alexa could be be that person so you Alexa contagious. You take a Alexa take suggest you took yes and so. That was a way of writing a computer program that could make use of those capabilities and and and obviously these schools. We're talking about. Today are in Canada so for the Canadian listeners. For certain can check them out in their actually quite high they rank skills and we'll get into that as well. I'd like to take back to learn a little bit more about your back. So what kind of work did you do like were with the company? Did you have an independent type of business or what? What were you doing? I was with comedy so I spent a long time working for a mobile phone company called to in the UK of anti worked for a consultancy it consultancy. So okay. Okay you know what I spend like ten trials with Saddam Law London Quello Gotcha Gotcha. I'm actually fulltime on development. That's why do nice if the past two years. That's I one hundred percent of my time is spent spent doing this. Okay and so. This is something that you're doing independently or as part of a group you depend on the everything's done by the skills by me. Everything's don't buy me fantastic okay. So as I alluded to. You've got a couple of top rank games in Canada. Wonder what you've mentioned and the other. Let's dive into a little more. So animal letters is one of them and tell us about your other skill. That's that's one of the top top ten here and it's popular in. Canada is a game called. Feel the pressure which is a quiz. Actually the first time I heard of you. Podcast was because huge feature to feel the pressure on the costs to very this and to my surprise game was very successful in Canada. Really thrilled so feel the pressure. When I finished well animal lettuce has never really finished right. It's just constant. Improvement is change after change after change. So you you are the Merano's yards and defects you allow more functionality and it just never stops the recently in the past months. I've made another change to not game is coming up for three years old now. I yeah so yeah. Your changes never stop. I did lots of varieties of letters games and then I decided to do this. Quiz and the quizzes at the time were Multiple choice quizzes. Choose A. B. C. OR D. Churn I just wanted idea of free form question because I thought it was quite much code. You just see an answer of the Balloon Alexia dancer it thus loss of technical issues for which came quite tricky. Boy It's still quite willing to do so. Feel the pressure has some constraints and the the answer to the question is always a letter so it will tell you. The letter of the alphabet is F. And then was your question and answer. We'LL BE SPOKANE WILL START WITH. F FOR EXAMPLE. You know and again. It's the same with our game. You just improve the new sections to it score. As well as those types of questions there are crashes but who am I so it will give you a description of a person you have to guess who is it will give you who they'll be a A Christians who who said this and sometimes I actually helped the actual speech itself so the speeches given by famous person. O of tried to make much of the audience possible so is he developed an. Is You build more of these games. You get better at doing things you get better compensated for the speech recognition issues. You get better art in Audio Interior Games because audio just mix same defect bring the games to life. They really transform. The game totally agree with that. In fact in fact I was playing it this morning knowing that we were doing this interview and I love the sound effects editor in there. I haven't come across at question yet. That had the actual audio or the quote. But that's a great idea. I love to get more and more in digital. Those are quite difficult because you have to find the ones that don't have any rights on their public demand and also the famous enough because the game was played in America in did in the UK and whatever still has to be something is generally you cover. Most people most people could reasonably nor the answer to this twelve. So it's really. I think the best I can describe a game and tell me if you agree with. This is sort of a twist on a trivia type game in the way that you're out you're giving them sort of a clue with the letter of the alphabet the answer starts with and like you said like you described the various types of questions that are asked to give a free forum answer onto the other thing they feel the pressure is the voice in the UK for Alexis different from the voice in Canada. Sit on the knock sense and the voice in the UK. I thought same that a lot like called on Robinson who you may have heard of she was the quits master for a game a TV show called the weakest link. Okay was successful car or not. But but she'd quests they're Voice and she is quite route to the players as well. She was a little bit route. You know I so I wanted this game a little bit snarky as makes snarky comments and is. That's not a power of this game. No has pros and cons. Some people like that part of it and some people really don't like that so About similar feature wish I'd brought in Leotard which unfortunately isn't available incontinent woman but there is a perfectly polite more which you can have which gets rid of old and mix a nice game but unfortunately conjugates only available in the US. And you could. It's interesting because I personally. I kind of like the idea of giving it a little bit of a persona and it's not just like generic Alexa rate. I personally like that but I could see some people. That just might not prefer. Yeah that type of type of interaction but that's great so so they said these are. These are two of the top ranked games in Kansas. Having two of the top ten as far as an independent developer goes so. That's really stretch. Elation good to learn a little more about developing skills for Lexi and some of your thoughts and maybe some of the challenges and how particularly that relates to also the Canadian market versus other markets. So it's quite a broad question. But how are you finding developing skills? What are some of the challenges and that sort of thing still? The first challenge was one that I didn't realize when I started. It was a challenge and not speech recognition so Alexis speech recognition is so much better than the stuff we hide in the nineties and early two thousand straight. But it's but it's not perfect. It's not perfect on it works. It's fantastic when it works as module when it works with it doesn't work is terrible if you have to pee yourself and it doesn't understand you. That's really frustration. Yeah and if you repeat yourself again and it still doesn't understand or thinks she said something else. Let's incredibly frustrating so most of my games are rely heavily on speech recognition. So we're not goes wrong. The entire experience of the game is really badly affected. People take it personally. People very personally actually margin speaking to someone and they have repeatedly didn't hear what you said. It would start to get quite personal. Still Dot bus fare. Chickasaw a huge amount of effort on my part goes into trying to compensate that ain't speech recognition issues so huge amounts tasting so taste to make sure that the speech recognition earned the shootings the live run of the game. I actually capture. What the midst answers where so if someone said the wrong answer actually capture? Because sometimes they didn't say the wrong answer just Alexa Misheard. What they said. And sometimes when you look at those missed answer as you can see clearly the Alexa has just missed. No so for example. One of the biggest ones was indeed the. Us It's answer was jog. Your us the big cart or car. Jugular it'd be picked up his job wire Josh wire so that that's a very simple example lords of examples like that and the only way you can count your issue. You store them in a database after database apprenticed spreadsheet and to subsidize sorted by the council. Which ones happened. The most? Go through one-step team and if you can correct that's fine. I've got pushed. This goes on all the time because the speech recognition capabilities sort of change. So I'm gonNA oversee tune improvements more people using the devices so different types of miss. Here's where Alexa doesn't hear correctly. Heartening and sometimes they were. Oh what the people have said and sometimes work so again kudos compensations. And and how do you correct it and so for example of Jaguar? Do you then go back and enter that sort of utterance as an option for the Animal. Or would you do so? Why do is very simple? There's a something in computing called an statement so all it says is if the answer is jog you are on. The person said jog wire then make what they said. Jog Yours just change it so I basically except on which you can imagine in. My programs are just lanes and lanes lanes of sort of transformation. Where you're changing the answer because you know that the dead say the correct on so but it hasn't been picked up correctly. I see very interesting. Okay does very tedious for. It's actually mix the games work if you don't do that and the Games will be really bad so unfortunately most people have when they experienced might not have a good experience of one review recently. That said that she had the best speech recognition expedience on this game than any other. So that made me feel really good effort. You know as I say most people if they bought experience and that can be very personal on. They really don't like sure. Sure if on top of the game is reached to them as well which is obviously they really don't like it. You can't please everybody as far as that goes but But no I understand what you're saying. That's great wh what other things have you noticed in terms of I know that You know one of the things about developers is trying to make some money. That's what they're doing. What are the issues with that and yes one of the things that went to Canadian users is the developers basically of two ways of Nikki? So they can be awarded by Amazon. Which is a symbol reward? Developers of well used scales. Not Steer Program called the electoral awards program but the alleged awards program isn't available for skills in Canada. So if you have the number one school in Canada you won't get any rewards for. It's only available in Sefton countries. A fact is available in most countries to be honest so really should be relevant. But it's not all the one is really interesting. It's something called in school purchases. So that's where the I can buy usually through small fee so Mike Games. It's usually linked to nine.

"Four Wednesday and today I want to tell you about a report that came out from voice. Bought DOT AI. And if you don't know voiced by they're actually a really fantastic publication that covers all voice technology. Not Just Lexi but what they were reporting is that there's a new data that showing that these skills launched in two thousand nineteen were the lowest number When you compare it to any of the year dating back to two thousand and sixteen th the reason I want to highlight. This is because they also did publish some Canadian numbers and I just WanNa give you a sense of what. The numbers are in Canada in terms of the number of skills. That are in Canada right now. So this data is now about a year old but this is what they're reporting and they say that in January twenty nineteen the total count of lexi skills and Canada was twenty two thousand eight hundred and seventy three now about halfway through the year so in July of twenty nine thousand nine hundred the total count was was twenty five thousand one hundred and ten so if I do my math right. That means that we're looking at about an increase of give or take but roughly twenty five hundred skills between January of two thousand nineteen in July of two thousand nine hundred and they reported the number of skills that are out as of January twenty twenty and that number was twenty five thousand nine hundred fifty. So that's only about eight hundred or so increase in the number of skills in the last six months of two thousand nineteen why that is. We're not totally sure. It could be that. There was a reduction in the incentives to US developers who are launching US skills. And if there's a reduction in incentives then they may also be less likely to be producing skills for Canada as well so this may have an impact on the skills that are coming to Canada. It's hard to say it's interesting in its data. That'll be interesting to continue to follow and see if there's any uptake on this going forward. I still obviously think that Lexi is just gaining traction when it comes to users so we'll have to keep an eye on this interesting stuff. Hope you're having a great day and oh I just want to remind you I do have a contest going on right now for creating a logo for my personal brand. Dr Terry Fisher. If you WANNA see the details you can win some prizes And if you know anybody. That's a graphic designer them. Please share it you just go to Al a in Canada dot ca slash logo contests. "Hey Dr Terry Fisher here and let's get right to the flash briefing for today. Here is a really really good piece of news for Canadians. I think this may help us to get a lot more skills in Canada than we currently have and this is a little bit of news that I want to let you know about. I was made aware that Amazon has just change their back end. When it comes to developers setting up their skills he C- previously when when a developer launched a skill they had to select which locale they wanted to be an and most of them of course have been set up to be launched in the United States. And what a lot of developers just actually didn't realize is that they have to opt in to have the skill launch and Canada. As well and I can tell you from personal experience. I've spoken with developers and they're quite shocked to hear that the skill is not available in Canada. Anyway the good news is that Amazon has just made a feature available in the back end when developers are creating their skills that allows them to just select a little check box and that will then push the skill to all the English speaking locales. Now that's good because it's going to help the developers to get these skills into Canada. More readily the downside. There's a downside is if you know. Developer wants to customize something for a country. It's GonNa be hard to do that. They won't be able to use this feature nevertheless. I think this is a good thing. It's going to help us Canadians. When a lot of the skills are not in Canada and now it really is as simple as a developer. Just choosing check box and the skill will come to Canada. So let's keep our fingers crossed that we see more and more of the skills that we want here. I think it's great. Good move by Amazon. And we'll see what happens right and hopefully we'll see more skills in Canada. Remember there's the contest going on right now to win echo show five. You can help me. Design LOGO FOR THE BRAND. Dr Terry Fisher. Check it out at AOL in Canada DOT CA slash local contest. Have a great talk to you tomorrow. BRIEF CAST DOT FM..

"Skills Hair so have you heard of lexi gadgets. Well Lexi gadgets is a term Amazon uses to describe a toolkit that developers can use to more tightly integrate. Lexi with other types of well gadgets. Let me give you a couple of examples because this type of technology allows for example you to be able to to voice control. Things like dancing plush toys or be able to control smart toothbrushes or touch sensitive table mats or these these sorts of things. And what's interesting. Is that the toolkit to develop these integrations. Were not yet available in Canada until now now they have been launched in Canada. And I want to let you know this because it's very interesting. We Canadians are probably going to be seeing in the very near future. More and more tightly Lee integrated gadgets. SMART devices that can be controlled through voice technology. Is this a good thing. We'll have to think so. More opportunity for developers means more products means smarter homes and more interesting technology for all of us to play around with so. I'm excited about it. I hope you are too. I'll have to keep my ears is open for more information on this. If you hear of any interesting interesting gadgets coming to us that are controlled by Lexi. Please let me know because I'd love to share those with our audience for now stay tuned and I'll keep you posted have a great day tomorrow. Brief cast dot F._M...

Jeff they've got a number of different features built into their their technology and they describe themselves as the Google maps of cooking. Which actually I think is pretty good. Good some of the things that they say so. They say that they can take written recipes and turn those into conversations so it can actually teach you and walk you through how to prepare recipes. They can also help you discover new recipes with interactive content based on your personalization of what you'd like what you don't like Cetera. They can provide shop -able recipes so that you can identify and create ingredient lists that then you can use and it actually can act as a meal tracker as well so pretty cool. But I still can't determine it has come to candidate. Well thanks for the question first of all audio and you're absolutely right. This is a very cool feature that is available on the show. The Echo showed devices in the United States. It's exactly what you described. You could hold the device and the device will tell you what it is very cool. Unfortunately this is another one of these answers where I have to tell you this. It's not available in candidate. I've actually tried to test it on my own echo show and it just is not working so when it's coming to Canada I don't know Hopefully it'll be sometime soon. I will tell you this though. If this is a feature that is very important to you you can always set up your echo devices on a US account to do that. I have very clear detailed detailed instructions on the website. You simply go to alias a in Canada dot ca slash Faq and on the Faq site. You will see that there here is a a A question there and it explains how to switch over from the Canadian account to the US account. So that's the best we can do for Nelio.
