"Morning good morning no drama at least so far Equity features down a quarter of 1% off the lows on the S&P on the NASDAQ 100 down by about a tenth of 1% the OECD coming their outlook to about 3% for global growth That's not news is it That's confirming what we've already heard from a lot of other places including the World Bank yesterday looking for 2.9% Let's see equity market Here's the bond market Worldwide I want to talk about this Easy to spot the difference here isn't it Which one is the odd one out Looking at the U.S. ten year the German ten year and the Japanese ten year yields up in the U.S. your tire over in Germany one 35 on a ten year bund and almost totally unchanged at 25 basis points in Japan The why Because the BOJ is trying to cap it there And as they do that as they try and cap bond yields at 25 basis points remain committed to not hiking interest rates whilst the latter two central banks the ECB and the Federal Reserve look at making a continued move through the rest of this year This is what happens through the FX market You push this through foreign exchange the Japanese yen has to take all the pain Breaking out again One 35 Tom on Dolly yen in sight after briefly breaking one 34 It's a lot of dynamics there and we'll be looking at that in the course of the coverage of the ECB tomorrow It will I'm sorry John it's all of a sudden ever huger deal with faintly Pacific Rim or ramifications I saw a message me this morning about the ECB bramo and they basically just said are you serious I can not believe they're not hiking tomorrow What's this about laying the groundwork for future meetings Let's go We were talking about this in the break Why not Right Why not just raise 25 basis points Forget 50 basis points Just get ahead of it If you're going to talk about doing something and the need to do something what is holding them back and you pointed out that it was the peripheral yield market that they're concerned about disrupting Italy as well as Spain and Portugal and Greece I mean all the other countries how much can they continue to do this because at some point they've got to rock the boat to get some sort of tightening that is required for the inflation that they currently have To hold the market's hand in a way the fed is not Key difference though the labor market in the U.S. stronger than the labor market in Europe may be allowing them Lisa just to go a little bit harder here in the states Yes although they have to do something So when does hand holding become counterproductive and actually go against the end goal How do they get around that and what other policy prescription supportive perhaps for the Italian the Portuguese Spanish the Greek bond markets Could they come out with Do you remember when president nagants said she wasn't there to close frets You loved that You just nailed on that You were like you know just the next day And the next day Are we here to close Hours later Let's make a quick interview with someone we like so they're kind to us and we get to say what we want to say Talk about that another time That's across that set price section Let's get you some single names some stock moves We can do that with remain morning remain Hey good morning John of course back here in the U.S. all eyes still focused in on consumers spending We did get Campbell's soup earnings just a little bit earlier this morning here They were actually a pretty good at least on the overall numbers but it was interesting mix here Total sales were up about 7 to 9% depending on the category However you actually saw a decline in the volume of sales here Now Campbell made up for that with a 3% decline in volume across the board They made up for that with roughly about a ten to 12% increase in prices So an interesting mix here of a company that does at least for now showing a little bit of pricing power though is also making clear that at least on a volume basis things have tamped down a little bit Nevertheless Campbell's Campbell shares up about 5% here in the pre market Meanwhile in also in the consumer space you have a firm those shares down about 4% in the pre market And we know they got battered around on Monday because of that entry of Apple into the buy now pay later space But there's a broader issue going on with the firm And it's highlighted in a wonderful Bloomberg story today about some of the securitizations that affirm his issue where it repackages of those loans and the prices of those of the existing ones have started to fall and of course any new issuance of this company comes to the table with They're having to pay more basically offer a little bit more yield This is a big concern now Remember the business model for a firm is way different from the other buy now pay later companies that actually finance themselves primarily through debt or customer deposits So keep an eye on that space Remember this is a stock already down 70% from its all time high And then there is still a focus on business spending smart sheet came out with earnings is a big software company They beat on a lot of the top line numbers but there was a deceleration in growth They had some folks concerned those shares down 6% And then we heard from Intel the other day a lot of the company's management they were at a conference there And according to city analysts they said the mood was actually pretty dour They were talking about a lot of challenges ahead Intel shares down about 3% Meanwhile DocuSign a big pandemic darling they're actually reaffirming their partnership that they've had with Microsoft That's giving them a little bit of a lift DocuSign shares up about 5% on the day And well the pandemic is sort of over but novavax finally getting its vaccine potentially to the U.S. market and FDA advisory panel yesterday Tom did finally sign off on that They still need full FDA approval but those shares up 10% here on the previous Thank you so much to close coming up this afternoon as well This is the conversation today If you've opened up the proverbial envelope and looked at your bond portfolio and said oh price down yield up Bob Miller ahead of America's fundamental fixed income in BlackRock has decades of experience looking at.

"Watch out for this island d. I don't think i've ever seen the word mother written so many times. In one paragraph there was quite a forward. Yeah the censor- Deal that's me. Okay thank you. Thank you jeeves. Broke you spurs me specifically mentioned were tranquil and pipkins and how well we were looking and yeah i mean what else can you say that pretty clearly and say glee at least put his but good project pipkins to end. I could not agree with you more. We all agree with gbs per se. I appreciated gbs Now let's move on to get some sports who asked the question. What do you fail. Asia baggage position challenge for the team to cut down. We shaw kick a battle of cauti-. Lol yeah it. Wide receiver room is. There's a lot going on and honestly man this defensive room like forest merrill like where did he come from like brain foco played. Well there's a lot of dudes that are on that interior defensive line that wow like who are they gonna go with. That was one of the positions that we all kind of were worried about the most with the transition and shift into this new defense and i after the preseason. That's like the one position. I feel pretty pretty okay about with debt ending than the the d. Line is is is a solid position group Yeah the biggest position challenge for the team to cut down It's going to be hard. It's quarterback i think is do carry two or three and who the to and wide receiver. I think is slowly becoming more and more obvious. Yes to who who who the The the fact that needs to be trim But yeah there are. No every position is tough man. Running back a quarterback i think Who you keep on in the safeties because a special teams has won a whole lot of a lot of stuff that movement. That's going to happen here before we get going. It's washington that's going to be heavy day. When they cut down to that that fifty three men. I now have not been so invested in the threes in the four. His i am this year watching the game watching the preseason game i know all the guys names that iraq down nets i see. That's always been the case. Absolutely grads be hard to see those guys cut. I think you're right. I think the running back one is going to be the toughest one to the toughest pill to swallow. Because i think we like all those guys Including justin jackson when he can be healthy so i think when when we see how thinly that side of the ball gets cut down. I think that might be the those might be some tough decisions that are going to have to be made for those guys but We'll see as it happens Thank you get some sports for asking the question. We move on now to justin saver cool. Good old justin. Who asked the question food partners. The biggest charge of fan amongst you guys keep up the ouseba working and have you know squeaky voice in name. We give voice name. I've always i. Because i make a list of all the voices that i wanna use. I always call him the minor. Forty that forty nine. He's bye-bye has also toy story with the neen guy with that. pick axe. that is shoot. You guys don't i. I know who you're talking about that. It was i mean was kelsey grammer. Who played it but yeah. He was like the bumbling leg out like he was goofy little minor but as far as the biggest fan. That's hard we are almost in my heart. I feel like we are one fan now. Listing take your chat is a fan like my phantom is equal in goes up and down based on your guises fandom in excitement because we're texting all the time of it's almost like our fan hood is intertwined maga. Mation if you will. I think i'm the biggest fan for kyle trying to give the our family. We all are super fans but like doing this every week. In interacting with other fans it's like gotten to like really crazy level of fan of. I can't really explain it. Yeah i've certainly been sucked into the phantom a lot harder than i have been in the past. I knew that would make you laugh at because of being part of the charger chad. Like i've just. I'm now more invested into areas of this team that i've never been invested in the past or at least haven't been nearly as much so. Yeah i think. I think good answer coach. But we're the three headed monster. Yeah three headed three headed fan. Excellent all right. Thank you for asking the question. Justin saver cool. We move on now to zach marin sick. Who asked the question john brennan or tavon gamble. Good question that's hard. Yeah that's good. 'cause they brandon had that picking week one phnom another big time play but campbell out a couple of really big here in the last week so i don't know man that's that's why i'm going to make those who had the pick in the second game. It was the sante and it was campbell campbell. I thought had the other pick. So you've got two guys with. Ti tell he's got the i think he's got the long hair. She can't see his name all the time. So you've got two guys that have made picks in the preseason to von campbell. Yeah it's gonna come down to who the coach likes the most which of the or which of those guys does more on special teams paid. Close enough attention to be able to see They obviously both have upside of play making ability I just haven't paid attention enough to what they're doing on specialty. Because i think that'll be the a lot of these guys a lot of these positions outside of quarterback and stuff you make the team based on what you doin team. So i don't know that's a great question. I think i'm going to watch which one of those guys has more contributions best teams in week three. I like it all right. Well there you go zach The opinions of the coach speak for the rest of us. Here at charger chat We move on now to super charger aka. Mike marlin our future Bolt history guy. Who's got a question and it goes something like this with three season games this year. Shout as the craziness going from ninety two fifty three. How do you see this. Teves con It's all right. He asked bird raiders fans drunk girlfriend whose escalating saw one of those there. You go. i'm sure. I i think it's like what are coach is doing right now. Which some of the other. The other teams aren't is. We're actually giving these guys in opportunity. We're not starting. Those starters are giving people a chance to run through and get some reps. Oh i think it might be easier in some ways than previous years. Because you're actually seeing these guys play more than getting better opportunities. Yeah graphic due to only having three games and more guys you are getting obviously no reps for our ones and it's almost makes it an easier decision to go that route because you just don't have you know. Have a lot of blazer figure out who those guys are. that argon actually make the.

"The dallas that. Chris has been quite busy. This offseason season. Let's catch up on his biggest news. The cowboys signed up to a one hundred and sixty million dollar deal with a hundred and twenty six million guaranteed in his first five seasons had cash value. Thirty five million. We'll take home seventy five mil. This year i Dow starting quarterback has finally been cleared to return to action after an ankle. Injury ended a twenty twenty season the cowboys. Qbr dropped eighty. Two forty two with deck off the field last year. Who also have some new heat on his feet that season. He's leaving data for five year. Deal with jordan. Brand that only quarterback it will be the highest paid. Nfl player on the signature lines roster Been with the data since his rookie season with the cowboys in two thousand sixteen in the sponsors have been rolling ever since early this offseason. He became a spokesman for anheuser busch. Inbev hep c. sleepnumber. Dan yogurt campbell soup. Seven eleven eighteen t beats by dre among other since he's been the cowboys starter but guys he hasn't just been racking in. The cash has also been testing out his ankle on the south like his work has hips a little. Listen yeah had a good single denial. How active and at that time. Maybe some little dance moves enough. La i'm ready to go. So that was the time that i said in my head. The injuries gone show or smithson. Playoff wins even got gotta have a new target. Can't make fun of baker mayfield anymore with all those endorsements shooter. This is this is this. Is this really what. Let me say this okay on a serious note dak prescott deserved as money very very happy that he got it. You know on a serious note with him. What he went through losing his brother what he heart goes out to him and his family on a serious note all all joking aside wishing him nothing but the best but now let me get into my cowboys. Trolling not allowed to do they. Were apologize. molly. Into 'cause i got distract. What all of those endorsements. Before i go on yeah go ahead and ask the question because i wanna make sure. I'm one point. Because i got to please. You hear you tell me what what i was going to ask. A senior quarterback under the most pressure view of something. You wanna discuss list of the answer would be yes and appreciate you me my guy. No all this. This is what makes me so. I just felt disgusted. What the hell has any cowboy done in the modern era. All of this. And i push in bev pets each sleep number. Then you'll gert campbell campbell soup. What's the winners may be. Are we levinson eleven. Open all the time really really been the cowboy. They've been closed cup playoff to for the last to let it might be that you're gonna pay t and t that's a fabulous fabulous bowl company brother. Jeff works one white needed. What's up y'all but here's the dip. It what what why. Why does he have the connection. Is that what it is connects. Okay beats by dre. I don't know i. I'm telling you right now. Still wanna moments on. My bucket list muffs. Go 'cause i met my brother. Dr dre is no one. No one that loves dr dre. He's a genius. He special and i hope you could help my brother. Nothing but love for you. but what how. And maybe that makes sense. Because obviously you listen to the music and you want to cover your ears from wallace. Shrapnel a criticism maybe that makes data document makes it leased -dorsements deals for prescott and i'm just sitting there going like this. I'm happy he's gotten his money. I'm happy he's got all of this stuff. But validates what jerry jones position has been in the past remember. The dallas cowboys breeds money in just being associated with us. Go get you paid and sure enough proves it because nothing on the field from the dallas cowboys overall has valid. Fair has got a great reputation. Mama he's the total no he's not and here's what all of those things that you just said are true the last quad. I'll leave to you. Because i don't flow like that but everything else that you said. I'm good with it. My point is were you right. The hand the quarterbacks as handsome best quarter how robots outfits dope all all. I'm trying to say that the we so this is the problem. This is what gives those nauseated. The stuffing fans out there. Who are despised cowboys. I don't despise them but the fans. Nothing pleases me. More than see a miserable miserable sorry cowboys fans and this is the reason why they get to believe this stuff because no matter what they in the news. They getting endorsement. Deal being hype. Even don't always home early a seven eleven eleven open all the top. They closed but the cowboys as the top book january. You can't find the cowboys. Tell the following december of september rather but somehow someway all these damn endorsement deal way to go with the jordan brand. I like the fact he'd better hope the upper. It's going to be slicks and eleven. Forget about seven. Save a little man. Top five most handsome quarterback. This is awkward. i'm married carry on. I would never ask you that question. I asked i asked you. don't ask. don't ask not the one who up. What's the question here. Oh my gosh. What quarterbacks under the most pressure now i feel like it's because they're all in his business oriented. It's not that it's not that look back. Just got all the endorsements you why he got the endorsements even though they haven't been winning dallas cowboys quarterback. He's good we already know always good. He just got paid and he's got all the endorsement deals and if they don't win you know we're going to say because he's got cevers everywhere. You look offense. Longitude at least be decent. We're going to say it was a defense his fault. It was the coaches fall. Going to write home about mike mccarthy being such great coach anymore right. it's he's not under the most pressure not even close guys under the most pressures matthew stafford matthew stafford his entire career. Oh he's so talented. If only he wasn't on detroit. Lions the reason can't win in the playoffs. He doesn't get the play. It's detroit now. The rams took the former number one overall pick who took them to a super bowl to pro bowls and a super bowl. They treated him to more. I i think it was worth to get stafford. What you're gonna do. Matthew stafford is stephen. I would say. There's an enormous amount of pressure. Not just for the rams of what it means. Now stafford's entire legacies if you can't with the ring with the rams we're going to look back and say oh. No it wasn't it was him. Let me tell you why. I think you. I think you're wrong because you're thinking about just football would dak prescott because he's a dallas cowboy. It's not just about football. It's also about the fact that it took them so long to give him his money. It's also about the fact that the fan base that he represents is also about the fact that we constantly bloviate about the dallas cowboys. And when you look at it from that perspective even though matthew stafford to football aficionados an avid football fans definitely is under some pressure. Hell the rams under more pressure to maintain a fan base chronic low because they are various distractions in los angeles could take you away from actually caring about football game but.

"Sing us a song over time ending, man. Let me hear that bacon sizzle. We're just talking about this Matt Campbell situation. Matt Campbell. Let me just bring this up because Campbell's been a very good coach. But here has been Matt Campbell's best successes in his years at Toledo and Iowa State. Toledo is final Two seasons in the Mac. He went nine and four and nine into where they win in the go Daddy Bowl and that it appearance in the Boca Raton Bowl. He took the Iowa State job before the Boca Bowl. He's been in Iowa State for five seasons. He's had 28 win seasons and 19 win season last year nine and three. Coming off a Fiesta Bowl victory, so we absolutely has helped build that program up it up it up it up. He's going to four consecutive bowl games. But again There's a ceiling at Iowa State because you're competing in a conference with Oklahoma and Texas and you're never going to have those pockets. You're never gonna have that opportunity in terms of recruiting base in Texas. You're never gonna have those types of donors. That type of travel that type of budget for your assistant coaches. You're never gonna have that. We just know this. And so if Matt Campbell truly turned down the lines and their six year offer at $48 Million, it should make every Iowa state fan Beg for mercy of the altar of Matt Campbell. But you you for staying It also means he just signed this new deals. We must like that new deal or Maybe felt loyalty because he just signed a new deal. But also that this lion's job must have been really bad looking like Yeah. 48 million bucks. Sounds good, but no thanks. Like, imagine somebody offered to double your salary. And supposedly, it was a promotion. And supposedly, the hours were Justus long. I mean, you've got to imagine that in terms of coaching and recruiting But I was state. It's Justus much labor as what you're doing in Detroit for the lines. Would you want to recruit? They just give you the players. And it's guaranteed to imagine somebody offered to double your salary for the next six years. And give you a promotion. I mean coaching in the NFL is seen as better than coaching. At Iowa State, No offensive Iowa State, but it just does. And saying, No. What would that say about the job you're being offered? What would that say? And that the Lions then said, Okay, we give the Godfather offer to Matt Campbell. If he says no, we'll go to Dan Campbell, who's never been a head coach before. Oh, Fatty crackers tweets since Matt Campbell said no, and the lines moved on to Dan Campbell, who said yes what if Dan said No. Were they moving on to Campbell's soup? Naomi Campbell, Neve Campbell, Bruce Campbell. Campbell Camels. I don't know what plan C was. I'm just glad they got a guy that wants a pet lion. With satellites. So, with all these no hitters baseball, I'm being asked by people. This is no joke yesterday. Jumped on our affiliate in Knoxville. I love those guys. They do that spot regularly. They said, D A. What do you think? How can you explain all of these No hitters around baseball. And I said, Look, I think part of this is the culture of baseball, which right now is a long term problem. The culture of baseball for hitters. Is not about contact the culture of baseball. Hitting wise is launch angle and exit velocity and try to muscle it as far as possible and hit home runs and long fly outs are fine and strike out, sir. Fine. And so you've just you've taught a generation of hitters to value. Avoiding contact for contact sake. We don't need the pope to the opposite field. We don't need that single. We need you to swing for the fences. So I think that's an issue. I think velocity is an issue. There's more pictures than ever. Now that throw harder than ever before. So there Their culture is to pitch to avoid contact. It's not Greg Maddux. This is not Jamie Moyer. This is a void. Contacted all cost, try to miss bats. So hitters don't care if they strike out and pictures were being taught. To throw for strikeouts. Which leads to games where there's very little contact a very little action. I think that's part of it may be part of it, and this is just a stab. Is that the pandemic has Shown us half empty stadiums that maybe it's a little easier for pictures to grind their way mentally through games because they don't have full stadiums that are maybe Pressurizing the game or help in opposing stadium. There's not as much to worry about maybe Unless you there were no fans. We only had a 60 game sample size. Maybe some of this is just an anomaly. It's one season. It just so happens to be this way this season, But we've already had six no hitters. And basically the first seven weeks of the season and nearly had 1/7 when Madison Bumgarner had a seven eating no hitter. Not good. I could tell you that because the more no hitters there are the less special it becomes, and thus, the less you care about it being a no hitter and it happening. And even Clayton Kershaw, who should be totally pro picture here. Said he doesn't think it's good. He doesn't think all these no hitters were good. And boy if one of the best pictures of his generation If they slam dunk Hall of Fame pitcher is saying it's not good at these pictures or having so much success. That's a big one..

"Like passionately rooting for a team for me. That's the sabers in Oh, six or seven. And I mean, I didn't dislike anybody. I didn't really like the trades like the deadline deals. Like spot check being signed. The one year didn't excite me, but I certainly wasn't mad Adam ever mad about it and didn't sort of go through the season being all You know? You just sort of Okay, cool And then he's your guy. It's your team. Then he's your guy. He turned out to be pretty cool, figuring I agree, right great. I don't know. For some reason. Whenever I see him, I remember him being on the team. It makes me smile. You know, spot your man. No way. He was greater anything, but So were you a sponsor? A huge advisor. Yeah. Huge bucks. Huge visor, Huge slap shot. I think I'm having like the well the beer that isn't like grown in Was always sort of had that look where he had sort of like It was just about to grow in I like spotting is more of a Campbell guy. But it's someone that played defense as a kid and was very like to be very active offensively, like Campbell spot check like those with guys that spot it wasn't as much. Skater is more the shot, right, right, big shot, but I liked I liked them. Campbell Campbell was was one of a kind. He was a one of a kind, like who's like How many guys are like Brian Campbell. As a player. Now I feel like now it's becoming. There's like there's like 30 defenseman that play like I was gonna say, I think Brian campaigning more prototypical modern data every time I turn out to watch more games sometimes got a young guy that like plays like I feel like guys like My car won't become a car like that. That you know Drysdale, even he's very, very young. But they move around the ice the way you know even better, like they're They're Campbell Mock too, You know. Um, but he sometimes bigger, right, But the everyone's just like a little faster now, you know, like that. I'm like a guy like my car is, you know? He's taken what Campbell did and like, gone beyond because an extra gear there. Yeah, he was ahead of his time. Brian Campbell. Yeah, He was one of my favorites, too. By the way, Speaking of the sabers and the past, this is the hashtag 70 save Game anniversary or at least part of it right because it went over two days. Two nights, right started on this day. I think in 94, right, and I saw the how I found out it was the anniversary. It's not like it's April. 27th. Isn't that no, I just saw it. And so Give me tweeted a video. Somebody put together a compilation of some of his best saves from that game. It's pretty. It's there a lot of cheap saves. Yeah, not a lot of high danger. Chances in this game. Every save. Looks like the greatest save you ever seen in your life In that video? I sent it the island. I'm like God, I mean, stop 20 of the 70 saves are a devil's player alone at the doorstep. Right. It's absurd. So right kind of plays like you know, when you're a goalie, dad like I am your kid gets up a goal like that, you know, like I mean, really, you know, It would have been incredible safe. What do you wanna do? And there's like 20 of them right in this thinking, however long that video is line blowing. I know the video is like here are the best saves dominant cash it made that night. The videos an hour. Oh, it's just an hour of saves from one game. It is bonkers. You were not there, right? No, sir. I was not there. No, I was no, I worked that night and we went out. I watched the three like I think the first overtime maybe concluded while we were closing up the pizza place, and then we went to a place and watch basically the whole hockey game. Right. That was my night. We listened to it for, you know, 3.5 hours at work and then went out and watched, you know, 2.5 hours to keep its word. It was crazy. It's so long ago. I'm not sure my memory is right. What I think happened to me that night was I would have been on the desk. At the Democratic Chronicle. That was my job then I was just out of college and Kevin a club to I think would have been covering the game in the odd probably we would have sent that you know, our boss would have sent Kevin Through the odd for that game, and I have some memory of just like maybe being on the phone with him because I would have been partly respond. Hell, I would have been responsible for helping get the article in the paper. And just have some memory of being on the phone with him through that night is like 1 30 in the morning or something when it ends, right. Just got you know you wait as long as you can to get it in. So I would have had to work as long as the game was going to take, no matter what that's that's what kind of night that was. What a great game in Sabre's history of signature. Right? Or would it maybe Nagano would be the What game is the signature game and hatchets career? Maybe not know. Is it? I think the shootout in Nagano for him for his career. Yes, as a saber. The 75 shot out has gotta be the answer there. This is it. Sal carpaccio coming up at.

"Zah funny story, man. I had heard that that story was real years ago. I literally probably 10 or 15 years ago. That there is a very expensive, very expensive private school in the San Fernando Valley. Um, Studio City area with the initials, right? I know exactly what school you probably know, right? And they bought like two or three. Run down apart apartment buildings and put up their own performing arts center. And then a big, you know, ribbon cutting celebration. Lot of celebrities. Kids go to this school. Um, tons. I mean, you know if they listed all the kids that went to this school And And you You would probably know if they listed the top 50 celebrities. Kids that went to the school. You probably know 48 of them. My And George Lopez is one of them so They build a huge performing arts center. And everybody's up there all these celebrity how great it is, You know, it might be the next Oscar winner. We're raising our kids and you know that's important to them. I am. George Lopez gets up and goes, Yeah, it's a great day. A man's a great day for everybody. Everybody here at the school. Set for the kids. He used to live in that apartment building, right? And and you hear just one in the audience, and I think I even know who the Oh yeah, I think I do. I think it's a buddy of mine. Who I You know, wanted to laugh, but had to look around to see that nobody else is left. Well, that I love that They had him go over because literally when you pick your kids up from the school, you had to go around the apartment building. You come in, like through the L. A River. Yeah. E don't wanna give it away. But you come in through the L. A river entrance, and then you go around the entire apartment building to get into the school and then get your kids out of the school. That apartment building is like an island and and so they bought it kicked all the families out of there and put together a huge, huge, beautiful performing arts center, right? I've always found it odd that that school was in that area anyway, because you can only really expand so much. Because the L A river. You might as well just say what it is at this point. Well, I can't do that. Right? Um Kind of soup. You eating in their soup? Yeah. Something that smells like soup in here. No, I have my chocolate shaped. You want that lift in our Campbell's Campbell's camels. German. You could smell it in there. I can. Yeah, yeah. What kind of soup? I suppose I got, like, a chicken noodle thing going on Little guy? Yeah. Mm. Yeah, There's nothing better than that. Campbell's right that Campbell's chicken soup. Nothing basically God. That is great. Right? So we're talking about the school. Um It it dime. Anyway, it then they had to have him go over and talk. To the business to the owner of the building, right? Just because George Lopez speak Spanish and the guy who owned the building happen to speak Spanish, right? And he goes over there and tell us the guy the apartment hold out for a lot more mature, more Dinero, senor, and that's what he did. That's great, and that's a great that's a great San Fernando Valley story, right? And I heard that it was true for many, many years. I've never run into George Lopez. Ask him and then he confirmed. It is 100% trip. That's great man. That really is a great story. It's a great story and and see it. One of the few guys With balls in show business. You know, the first thing he did when he came on, He burned a network. Right. First thing comes on. He goes. Yeah, he goes after those guys that TVs that's great. I mean, very few people that do that anymore. Everyone is all you know, corporate know, buttoned up and you know nobody wants offend anybody. And he's one of the few guys that doesn't care man. That's that's why he's great. That's why he's had such a long career. And by the way, nobody knows this about him. Except maybe he knows it right. But there's nobody that does more charity work than George Lopez. I just looked at it up on YouTube earlier today, and this guy does charity work for everybody. That's so cool. Hey, does I mean he's doing stuff when there was that earthquake or flood like Guatemala, you know millions of meals and water and stuff like that. He never talks about it. Um, but but it really is great. He does. Let me just look this up real quick. I'm forgetting something. Hmm. Uh, that's my typing music. Hope you like it. But here's all the charity work that he does here. Charity work. He's featured in a golf magazine, his native Los Angeles group in San Fernando Valley, Mission Hills. He and his wife or I guess had the Anne and George Lopez Foundation. He had that he won the Manny Motive Foundation Community Spirit Award, hey, was given.

"Back America to you. It I'm joined now for the injury report by Selena Zito. So he has a great new column on who the executive orders screwed last week. It's in the New York Post. I just tweeted out. Good morning, Selina. How are you? I'm fine burying snow, but doing fine. How much now hit Pittsburgh Get normally you can't tell everything turned to black. It falls down through the coal dust. Oh, well, I can't houses. It's still dark out. That's not actually at the sun's up. It's just Pittsburgh. Okay with not 1943. So that would have been true in my parent's teenage hood. So anyway, I met how much? No. You got there. I don't know. Maybe like six or eight inches broad. That's not better. Schools closed and the kids get the free day. Well. Schools are closed in Pittsburgh period. Oh, my gosh. Really. I thought Pittsburgh had common sense. All right, that are people supposed to believe in the science. So the city schools don't have a whole heck of a lot of sense, but the private schools in the suburban schools do have them. Okay, well, I want to get to your column because not many people wrote about The impact of this executive order. They know that the Keystone XL pipeline throughout Union laborers, welders pipefitters, but you went beyond that You went to the secondary effects. Tell people about this. Yeah, Absolutely. So, you know, when the executive order happened, everyone understood these. We're going to directly hit. Uh, the union jobs of the people that build the pipe. The keystone Pipeline, Um and or the executive order on the, um The ending of cracking on federal lands and waters. But you never really think about the job outside of the business, so I talked to a woman, Lord Cox. In South Dakota. Her husband just bought a hotel in, um in September. It looks like something that would be in like a Gary Cooper movie right? Like a two story of hotel in the West. It's really charming Tropical Hotel in Midland, South Dakota. Yeah, And so they have been booked every day since since September and on the day the inauguration for Joe Biden. They were, as usual. Everyone was busted 12 rooms, but you know this is you know it's not a Holiday Inn, but it's still you know, a nice size. Business and they had they would. They put a common room in there, and everyone's having like breakfast and crossing business as usual within the pipeline community. People are very clannish. They're very, um, community oriented, and by four o'clock in the afternoon, everyone that checked out Well before they were supposed to be checked out, and she hasn't seen a person's sense, son. And that is one story that had been replicated all over the pipeline region. It runs from Canada to Texas. I mean, it's it is a devastating Decision driven by theatrics. The indifference to these people is astonishing. It really is. And you know you. You know what it reminded me of reminded Ping off Black Monday in in Youngstown Campbell. Campbell, Ohio When the steelworks closed, I was a kid, and they went and everything just shuttered. That's interesting, Selina. That's very interesting. Barbershop. You know, I mean, the impact was killing in that area. And you and I both know we saw it from different sides of the state line. But real and I both know the the economic impact wasn't just limited Use of Manning women working steel industry. It was the barber shop that was the churches. It was the grocery stores. That's all right. Roll down to my high school, my Catholic high school, which charged the outrageous amount of $300 here all of a sudden, the kids from Gerard and Campbell couldn't afford to go There You go to the public school. Yes, absolutely. On these. There's going to be the same impact. And what was interesting back then, is they went all they all drove from young stand in a bus. With John Glenn to see Jimmy Carter to talk to him about this, and he refused to see them. You see, I do not understand Democrats. This is why they lost all the Democrats that trump and they're going to stay in the Republican Party who are working. They don't care about union jobs, and I'm in the union. People just scream their bloody head off, but it didn't matter. It didn't It didn't matter it and we're going. It's like we didn't learn a thing. And it wasn't all that long ago. But they didn't learn a thing. This is how they lost the working class. I have argued forever. That black Monday was an example of how they began to learn, lose the working class and they're just underlining it over and over again. I hope you get up there and write a lot of these pieces, Selena because you're one of the few people who actually went beyond the pipeline workers I saw I saw some videos on the pipeline workers, but this hotel Well, it basically it's it's.

"Has come off a Super Bowl win. Um and, uh and then Carolina in 2014, and they beat Arizona. I believe And And so you know, we even making jokes all along and sort of making the comment throughout the season. That number five seed is going to be great because they got They go into the NFC East winter and everybody can beat the NFC East. But if you look at Washington, they came along at the end of season. That's a tough defense defense of front they get after the quarterback. Uh, you know, Tampa Bay is gonna have to run the ball. And especially now with Mike Evans. You know, you don't know how hurt he is, Um, they're gonna have to, you know, Chris Scout one and Antonio gravity. You have to step up, and we've seen Brady be off this season, too. Um, now the last eight quarters has been unbelievable. He's been unreal, but they can't do You know, they've got to be able to run the ball to keep the pass rush at bay. And and conversely, Washington has to win with defense. They can't You know, put Alex Smith in the situations where he's under duress. You know he's got others. Quick throws primer screens running back catching the ball out of backfield that are essentially runs too. Get established some sort of offense, but he's not a guy who's going to take it over the top. And that's sort of something I see with a lot of the quarterback's older quarterbacks. You know Brady Brees. They're gonna have to do is be throwing those 10 yard darts and not talk. So balls travel 20 yards in the air E mean, So listen, I can't wait that to me. You know, there's any number of different, intriguing games for different reasons, and that one's really juicy. So's ramsi huh, Campbell Campbell with one's pretty handling. I agree with that. Yeah, again. I think they got to be able to run the ball. Are you one of these people who just you know, in love with the buffalo bills? I mean, there's a lot to like when you're 13 and three. I mean, we 40 Niners fans were shell shocked here. Josh Allen played unbelievable the night They played the 40 Niners and you talk about trending in the right direction and come and you know, kind of their quote unquote. Their time has come having lost, you know, in the playoffs last year and now make taking the next step. And then there's your guy, and I know you have a long history with Phil Rivers. He's still around. And do you see? Uh yeah. Are you a bills? Believer or what? Yeah. You know, I feel like you know, they're hail Murray away from one of the last 10 games, and they want him handling everything in the last five or six games has been by double digits. And, uh, you know, Josh Allen is the complete package. I can't believe it because he was like a 56% passer, Wyoming. But he's one of those rare guys has got more accurate in the pros and the fact that you can run He's got that. Big body and he's sort of cells out when he runs. And and I just like that, you know, Stefan digs and I just think that's a But you know, it's a kind of like taking away. The Cape met cast. If the Colts who haven't had a good pass defense, takeaway digs, you know you've got John Brown, who's healthy. You got Cole Beasley. It's possible we can avoid the turnovers. Buffalo wins. Now for the courts, you know I love rivers. I don't want to see rumors get away. He's a good dude. And he is the most misunderstood player people really do this guy. Because he's such a whiner on the field and, you know has that sort of look and always pleading with the rest. The Great Dude. He is like the top first class guy, but you know, the Colts I think they need to contain Josh Allen. They don't have to sack him, but they can't let him beat him with his legs. And, you know, thinking kind of play, Keep away from the bills by milking the clock and running the ball. Jonathan Taylor If it gives him the best chance. I think the bills when this Again. Maybe not. His handle is Tampa over Washington, But I think the bills went culture. Pretty good. Pretty good. But Bill's very different class. Yeah, forget stuff and all the senator games. They're great. They're so we'll leave it at that. And let the Sunday games be. Hey, Sammy, just on the way out, Given your down there, man, And you're a so Cal lifer, and I saw you even tweeted out about Tommy Lasorda. No baseball. Has never been your beat. But did you ever have to, like pinch hit or get out there and Deal with Lasorda or get Yeah, yeah, You know, I knew Tommy a little bit and weirdly not from baseball, but he would come out the Cowboys camp and I would, uh Stand a good deal of time with inside his golf cart there with him and just talk to him because he isn't l a icon and, you know? Oh, I can't say that. I knew him well by any stretch. But I felt like I knew him, You know, hey is is and I tweeted something about this. You know a Z l a icons go. He is the Hollywood sign of human. He is like he is, Uh, true. Boo hoo l A and so It's a sad day. I mean, he's 93 years old. Nobody's beaten to death, but but it's still a really sad passing in. And, uh, long, long, long run beautiful run and you know, World Series champion 81 in 88, 77, 78, EC Yankees and, of course, the relationship of the Giants fans at Candlestick and everything and But I would really say that in the history of story, I was just gonna say it Best American sports writing. Here's a story called Tangled Up in Blue that Peter Richmond wrote, And it's like you around late eighties about his son about Tommy Lasorda Jr. And it was haunting story and if anybody Once the search that on the Web, it's an amazing story, but tangled up in blue is great. I will for sure. And I would say that in the history of that franchise, and you know, as Giants honks here, we A bitter rival Dodgers, right, But if you respect the history that franchise, I would They're say there's three If you go Mount Dodger more. There's three automatics. I don't know. The fourth is, but the three automatics are the still living Vin Scully all time. Obviously, Jackie And then I'd say Lasorda The sword is on mount. He's also in the history that if you look at that franchise, ah guy who dedicated his life to the Dodgers and represented the Dodgers and Bled Dodger Blue. Maybe Alston is the fourth one. I don't know, but that's I just kind of Doing this on the fly so, but he's that much. He's that He's right there with Scully and Jackie. I think in terms of I mean, he's not his dignified is those guys. You know, he was a little more. Here's a little more NC 17 you know, Sandy Coca Cokes. Yahiko fax. That's a good one, too. I just made it up on the fly so we could take all the nominations. Yeah. Maybe Fernanda would be on the hill. Maybe. Yeah, Fernando. Never long enough career, but our good buddy Dan Brown, who's you know, just incredible guy and incredible. Sportswriter had a great tweet. I'm gonna butcher it here, but it was something about We'll sort and he might have been there at the Giants game was getting booed, and he took the microphone and I guess there were some. We're honoring him or something or introduced him and he took the microphone. He said. I figured it out. You don't hate me. You hate yourself for loving me. No, that's good. Hey, Is that a Joan Jett song too? Or something? Yeah. Anyway, it's a big passing in, especially in L. A for sure. So, Sammy. It's always great to have you on give Paige a big hello to me from me and keep playing that Ventura highway and interesting to be safe when you drive, though, you know. Uh, look forward to reading your stuff in the l a times and love the NFL chat..
