Lopez comes up big, Bucks edge short-handed Nets 118-113
"Brook Lopez just missed a triple double in guiding the bucks to their 19th victory in 20 games. One 18 one 13 versus the nets. Lopez had a career high 9 blocks to go with 24 points and ten rebounds. The block total is an NBA season high. Bobby portis added a season best 28 points and 13 rebounds to help Milwaukee win without Giannis at ten to kupo. Patty mills scored 23 points and cam Thomas had 21 for the nets, who were without Nick claxton Spencer Dinwiddie cam Johnson, Royce O'Neill and Ben Simmons. I'm Dave ferry.

NBA Fines Cam Thomas $40,000 for No Homo Comment
"Speaking of throwing gays off of buildings and nobody want to talk about that religious insanity. I want to bring up another point of people just literally trying to control speech. So when NBA player got caught, he got fine. How much did you get from Nick 40,000? They find him $40,000. From saying the word no homo. Now, they didn't find him in my opinion because he said the word. They find him because somebody heard him say the word, right? He said the word in public because when I was growing up when I was on a football team, we probably said no homo 200 times a day. It's a joke. And it's not to bash anyone person is to say, I'm saying this word, but it's not, I don't want it to be perceived. Is it a homosexual in a homosexual manner? So you a tell a person man that dude is handsome, no homo minute, I'm saying he's handsome, but I'm not saying he's handsome because I want to sleep with him. But now in the walk in the local world, somebody out there is getting offended. But I'm gonna let you listen to the context of what this basketball player said, I'm gonna bring it up the clip up in a second so you can listen to the context of what the basketball player said. And you tell me, do you think this is justified of finding in a man $40,000? You can call white people anything you want. And they can't get offended. But you use a term they got nothing to do with gay people specifically and they get mad. Roll the clip. You gotta bring the good looks because you guys were lacking that. I seen it, but I was like, man, he just talking for the last. We already had a good-looking dude. But you know how it goes?

Why Do Some Worship Race?
"So that mass manipulation and inhumane behavior that's going on even in our country to illegal aliens, we should actually not let them be here. Unless they're gonna, unless we're gonna give them fair treatment. They shouldn't be in our country. But anyway, the thought process in the inhumane behavior then was inhumane behavior and slavery. I bet the outrage was probably the same at the time. Now, slavery is so barbaric, we couldn't even imagine that even being possible. But the people of that day, what did they know differently? So people have slaves all over the world. You know, America was no different than anywhere else in the world, even Africa. So of course it wasn't as taboo as it is today, but we want to, you know, put that on the backs of people today. Your ancestors. Most white people migrated here after slavery. Many black people came here after slavery. Your ancestors and ancestors is like, there was a spirit because black people have not all. I hate I have to say that, but some people just think I'm talking about everybody, including myself, you know, it's just dumb. But some black people have chosen to worship race and that's why race has consumed them.

Why You Can't Stand in the Way of What God Is Doing
"Like, I mean, we get hammered by not all, 'cause the kid that I ran into this morning was a black kid. But we get hammered by a lot of black people. They hate us. And it's really because I ain't looking at nobody's color. I'm just going off of my experiences and I'm just telling the truth. So if you white and you hear me tell them the truth, they ain't got nothing to do with me. If you black you hear me, Hispanic give you Asian if you gay, you straight, you hear me telling the truth. It has nothing to do with me. My deal is to tell the truth no matter where I'm at. And I feel like that there are certain things that are in the atmosphere that I have knowledge of, that's not getting portrayed. And then you got white people running around guilty and they being guilty for no reason. You feel bad for black people. You should not feel bad for black people in this country. You can feel if you want to feel bad for people making poor decisions, then that's on you. But just because I'm black, don't mean I have, I'll have things harder in life. And yeah, maybe you go in environments where there's nothing but white people and maybe you have to work extra hard to get things done. Maybe who cares? Quit being a whipping a soft. Adversity is what make you strong. The lord Jesus Christ had to go through a verse and got beaten killed and you crying about something a little bit of adversity. You know, if a white person were to try to detract me from accomplishing things, hey, the joke's on you, brother. 'cause God, I serve a God that's able to take me beyond what man can do. And to be honest, I feel bad for you 'cause if you're standing in the way of what God is doing, I gotta move you.

Preschool Director Claims Ignorance Over Toddlers in Blackface
"Let me play the clip of the preschool so you don't have to just listen to me, say it. Listen to the clip. And I read as the IC kids montessori day care and preschool right behind me here on Washington street is shut down now after an incident exactly a week ago today that was supposedly aimed at helping youngsters celebrate black history month. She hurt the students. She degraded them. She hurt the black community. Longtime Newton resident Bridget ray Canada is talking about this, a preschool teacher helping a group of toddlers make paper plates into blackface masks, widely considered an offensive and racist stereotype that essentially mocks the African American experience. And for people to claim ignorance, I think it's unacceptable in 2022. The school shut down after a black mother with two children who took part in the mask making episode angrily complained and yanked her two kids. She declined an on camera interview tonight saying her family is now suffering racial backlash on social media. The school fired the teacher before closing and issued a statement saying the curriculum was not executed in the manner that it should have been.

Parents Upset by Toddlers in Blackface
"So I was looking at this article showing them send me an article of three black kids and preschool. The teacher is Latino. And I guess you get these pieces of paper, these cardboard. I mean, he's a little pizza plates. And she paint them black. And the kids wear it on their face. They probably put a string around it and put it over their face. And one was a construction worker, one was a police officer, and apparently put a kid out the school over this. Can somebody explain to me, what is the big deal about a teacher who's Mexican painting a piece of paper black and a kid's wearing a face like a mask, and then dressing up as honorable members of society. I just don't get it. Are you trying to say that she's mocking black people? Are you trying to say it's a sin to want to be black? Maybe the kids wanted to be a black police officer. Is that a crime? If a kid wants to be a black police officer,

Project Veritas Suspends James O'Keefe
"Ladies and gentlemen, gentlemen, ladies, welcome back to the outside show, fired up Friday. It's almost a weekend. But hang in there with me 'cause I got a lot of stuff to talk about James O'Keefe at project veritas. It seems to be an incredible amount of turmoil going on in project veritas, giving the fact that James O'Keefe, the face of project veritas could potentially be out of his position and potentially be out of project veritas. Now, I'm going to say this because I don't need any facts to prove this because it's called common sense. If they were to get rid of project, they were able to get rid of James O'Keefe, there would be no project veritas. James O'Keefe is project veritas. Because I want to tell you something about people with large influences. When you are the face of an organization, people begin to follow you and the organization is secondary. James O'Keefe that become a personality that people love, they follow and they believe in. Project veritas mean nothing without the personality. And if they were to oust him because of some of the allegations that I'm going to talk about, it would be a death blow to project veritas. In my opinion, I could be wrong. I'm not God. I don't know the future. But it definitely seems that a bunch of people that support him will divest from project veritas. I can almost guarantee,

And he's like, then they go, no, no, we want to see your hands, how big your hands are. How do you take a picture of those little hands? Somebody's about to get these hands. Yeah. Basically. That's right Tuesday, people get ready. Yes. They might be small, but they pack a punch. Wow. You've only been in one fight. Just one. Yeah. By the way, Marvin, this was kind of his introductory dinner. Sales staff, the introductory den at your officially data out there with the dinner last night. So Marvin got congratulations. Obviously, with LeBron on the doorstep of breaking Kareem's record, I wanted to see what the odds were of LeBron if he breaks it tonight, I've been telling you this for a couple of weeks now. DraftKings has him breaking the record on Thursday against the bucks, but he's got OKC coming up tonight also how will he break the scoring record? You can bet on it. Right now, a two point field goal is the overwhelming favor three point field goal and then a free throw, the Lakers are favored by 7 against OKC coming up tonight. There was a lot of NBA action, but then also with the trade deadline coming up, the Lakers whiffed on Kyrie Irving is their chance they are in play for somebody else. I mentioned that Kevin Durant is there a possibility that he will leave the nets there. I don't know if you know the name, but in the game last night, if I would have said somebody scored 47, you probably would have said wait. Is Katie playing? Cam Thomas. Excuse me? Cam Thomas out of LSU, I believe. He had 47 points. Now keep in mind, on Saturday, cam Thomas had 44 in the nets win. So he's the first player in franchise history to have 44 points or more in consecutive games. Maybe that's why they were like, yeah, all right, Kyrie. You want out? We're good. But Kim Thomas lighten it up here. Yes, Martin. He might be Jason Terry. I'm telling you 2011 mavericks. Kevin Durant is the big guy. Cam Thomas, out of nowhere. What if Katie leaves though? That kind of takes away your Dirk Nowitzki Dallas Mavericks comparison. Oh, they forget that I said it. Yes, all right. Yes, polling. Cam Thomas, 21 years old, 6 three two ten out of LSU. He was the 27th pick, the draft a couple of years back. It was 8 and a half last year, 9 and a half this year, but it's rapidly rising. Yeah, I think he's the big winner with the Kyrie Irving trade. So far, and not the Mavs, not the nets. It's camp Thomas here. Yeah, I'm three piece. No. You don't. You don't try so hard. No, but we got three hours. You got two 50 at this point. I didn't acknowledge you. Okay. Notice me, notice me notice. Damn, three pieces. All right, what more? No, Todd here, everyone. Good to see you, Tom. Okay. Everybody. I need a tension. Yes, you do. We have traeger here, Chad brought his grills, so that's coming up later on. Let me give you an idea if I can find my phone the menu. "Okay, honey, we're back and next up on our list is Cam Thomas. I've been like even pretty clear in the mock drafts that I've written over the last like week. I really don't have a great feel for can Thomas's, drafts, talk to you. I don't, I would leave the, the line is under over under 22 and 1/2. I like the under, I like took the Hawks, which seemed to be a little bit of a trendy thing now across various platforms. He might be my Dark Horse to find his way in the teens. I obviously subscribe to the belief. He's going to score it. Yeah. Are there any teams are going to overlook that? He had 42 assists. 249 turnovers, maybe you need scoring guards. Good line, twenty-two. It'd probably be in the The Late Late teens to early twenties. I would feel comfortable doing that as opposed to a betting on the opposite. Yeah, yeah, I just throughout this process I have not been able to get a great feel for the teams that like, like cam, Tom Missed like like, let's just be kind of like up front, right? I don't know that, you know, know, let's, let's not be upfront. I was going to say, like start getting people. This team paid off. I talked to that Scout. They like them, but they're dressing 32. No, it was more security to. It was more like, whenever she pulled out of the combine, there were questions of like, oh, does he have a promise? Like is he off to work out for anyone? I mean, that's what I'm talking about and I just like, I don't think I buy that. Really at the end of the day I just would be surprised if that was the case. I'm, I can't get a feel for it. I'm just going to be totally upfront. I cannot get a feel for where Cam Thomas is going to go on draft night so I would stay away under okay next month..

"But just a general critique of how we talk about adaptability is there's not enough of a difference made between willingness or disposition and like actual basketball processing speed. I think of somebody like rj barrett. Like you only heard good intel that you like. He cares about basketball. He cares about getting better he. I mean we're seeing groups in the pudding. But i think he was called like you know selfish at duke because he would look for his own shot overwhelmingly And it's like. hey guys. maybe he's not a selfish person maybe. He just doesn't yet possess the processing speed to notice when his teammates are open and calling him selfish kind of muddies that whole process. So like it. You know for cam thomas. It is willingness but that alone isn't going to vote him into his ideal role as saying like you still feel is still a skill decision. Making is still a skill and this is why it makes my skin crawl when there's like nice series of passes in these finals and someone says like that's just unselfish basketball. No that could be fucking selfish basketball. Some guy could say. I want to make this nice pass because it will make me look great. Who knows what their dispositions. It's we just need to do a better job. Separating like these morals of selfish verse unselfish from basketball and then we can really talk about what it takes to assimilate or adjust to a scaled-down roll. It takes the willingness to learn that ability to process that. But that alone. Buying into a team concept isn't going to change cam thomas's game unique to consistently have that willingness to eventually develop those quick processing reads but they are separate things and one doesn't necessarily inform the other as much as people might say with all due respect. "Never been able to corral them. That's something that goes into a decision like that. We don't have access to But a lot of cases like seventy five at least eighty five percent of cases. Guys are just like kids playing basketball man. It's like not that complicated sometimes I can't really details. But like i've had conversations with people about certain prospects and it's like you talk to talk to a high school coach. Dr college coach tuna. You coach and like opinions are different and the kind of they have their names. The kid influences the town answer questions with but then at the end of the day like you look you have your your transcripts from three phone conversations and you look back and you're like the kid who was just a kid like something you'd as an eighteen year old that was really gonna basketball and wanted to play it like that's simple to get like super meta and like sappy with it but as i do think it's important point to note that these guys They they're not annapolis. Humans like they're not crazy. People are crazy people in their obsessive about being competitive and stuff. But they're not you know In some are unreasonable. you know. There's a handful every dry classes are and they'll suffer from integrators will hurt which is unfortunate but the most part like all those take is like some good coaching conversations and a plan. And that's the thing right so like we really don't oversimplify it because when you think about the psychology of like engagement and what you're doing and buying into the plant the organizational plan in front of you. This is no different than any other job really. You're studying outlier population of extremely talented people. But when when the choice is you're either going to be playing a role in the us and maybe it's not the role that you really wanna play but you you know you're getting checks you're winning games. you've got teammates that you enjoy playing with when it's between that or perhaps you get closer to the fringes of the league and you're told like this is the inflection point you need to learn how to play ball for example or you're going to be playing unball somewhere not ideal for you that calculus like hits for for a player just like it would for us and think that we do have to have some level of trust these guys that when it comes time to make a business decision they are willing to to change their game or changed the way they think about the game or develop certain skills or drop certain certain tendencies to to give themselves the best possibility of success. And so that's why. I never liked to get into too much of the kind of like psycho and psychoanalysis of prospects because one. I don't know if these guys. I don't have access to this background information. And even if i did like henry said like some of it's good some of it's bad. So that's why. I tend to not try to get into into that game too terribly much. But at an organizational level the interview and buying into organizational culture. And you know having a plan for your development that team having a plan for your development that the player agrees with and buys into is super super important. And i think you know if that's in place and there's good coaching you know a good boss. Good mentor just like any of us. Then people will be engaged. They'll be willing to make changes that need to be made and these people are extremely adaptable. I'm play basketball. Players professional basketball players have had to go through so much adversity in so many changes so many different situations to get where they're at. So i'm never gonna super doubt somebody's adaptability if they've gotten this far and muddy point i've noticed in this conversation. Henry did a good job differentiating a little bit..

Were talking about like a hypothetical situation. In which zach levine would like be the second guy on like a you know go like the sixers or something like just throwing around ideas and i think coal. Raise some concerns of like. How is that going to handle like an more off ball roll and same kind of takes the opposite perspective a lot of times that and he said something that really just stuck with me where he's like you kinda just have to trust some of these guys to figure it out like sometimes they're just basketball players. They are aware of what they need to do. And kind of over indexing on like their outer limits as from from from feel or iq standpoint can be like putting them in too small of a box. Like is donovan mitchell. This like all huggy guy is if he was on like a different team could he like. Pass the ball. A lot more swing. It may quicker passing. Reads all that stuff. I probably. you'd probably figure it out. Like i think we get so fixated on what we see a player as being that we don't give them enough credit for being able to make adjustments in the right system So there's no guarantee like henry says book night will do that but i'm glad you left. It open ended henry. Because you know it's possibly just does it. Yeah i think. I also applies to really point scott and i think a very important point and i think from also would apply to things i've said can thomas as like When i say it makes you want to clarify what i said in the sense that i don't mean say that he willingness for his unwillingness thing. I completely agree. Like it's the point i made about. Lebron just relax That i said it jokingly but like that is a real thing or if he gets picked a twenty one by the knicks and they say kim. You're you know. All takes johnny bryant. Who's the head system at the knicks. Now like sit down next to camp thomas before practice four in the you know. I guess it's the fall now is gonna say summer i kinda summer And be like look. You're getting this shots from here. This shots from here. This not unassisted. We're trying to get the assistance numbers in camps. Probably like enough and does it. It's like an. Nba coach told him to do. And that's who's paying him on my concern. The sort of the determinist aspects of that. I do i do think you can sort of draw like i feel is still at audible skill and like decision making you still in evaluate -able skill and You know there's certain complexities in passing reads and the pace. The guy who make decisions with indecisiveness and productivity this map before with those things are skills that are improved their or unimproved In certain guys are better spots to improve your skills and others guys are better than others. But i do think that the The general sort of like underlying problems of Would such and such accept a role. A i do think like like i think that there is not every guys intel. Unfortunately as good like you talked to some people around certain guys and they're like yet we've never been able to get a read on them..

"That's why i'm not a fan of draft comps which is mentioned earlier. I was thinking about it. And like but the fact like okay. He has the baseline of of taking and a high level of really difficult shot. So it's worth betting on in seeing what you can do with it at the end of the first or something like that like a i just i always have to throw in a little bit of context and caveats to be annoying so well so i'll avoid. The milton calms the only spray sexually. Didn't talk about talk about more in the mainstream from camp thomas troopers His positive outcome to me is like the nuclear runaround. Shooter guy like that guy is a crazy shop operation. I've ever seen credit to him. Don't live voters game The ability to start jump shot perpendicular to the basket and finish square is unheard of in very valuable. If you commit to being like a shooter type so like you know. I think it takes some creativity. Unlock those guys. But we've seen the value of How much you're shooting scale can bowie someone stock and value on a team for a while I don't want to a manual quickly. But like you know there's an example What is what does kim. Thomas look like if you're running around lincoln robinson mike jordan pool You know. I don't know there's obviously things that make them different But if i were like the camp thomas guy. That's i would make i guess if i'm the canton sky probably thinking he's like you know desserts out of the ball rolls so i went to that but like a real hooper so it's actually But now if i'm like myself the campaign is all cam. Thomas doubter The pathway successor is just like committing to narrow having the ball in his hands. A lot being like an ultra. Good flying off the joe's flying up and down selena floppies into odd catch angles into shots and hoping thanks enough and then if he is shoot you know using some of those foul-drawing tricks in skills getting down hill to like really be poten player in that way and honestly that's something that i'm kinda talking myself into a little bit But i do..

"Thomas look like at the nba level. Because i think that we all agree that the tough shop making his there. There's some tight space handle that that is enjoyable and worthwhile The defense can be not not the best. And there's there's definitely some improvements. There i personally am of the opinion that the decision making is pretty poor and i don't know how much better it's going to get in a different role where he is making fewer decisions. Because i think you'd have to rent that out on ball a degree that i don't know if he's going to have access to the nba level. So for me. I'm kind of thinking. Like i generally don't like cops but i want to use these as a window to kind of discuss how difficult it is to to have success at the nba level with this type of skill. Set and with some of these mutations. So i think the thing the kind of projection or comparison. I guess that i wanna make of what an actualized cam thomas looks. Lake is like maybe like three inches shorter. Chris middleton with worst defense and chris was drafted in the second round i g leaguer to ever become an all star and most people did not see this this bump from him one of the biggest outlier developments. I think i've ever seen and if he doesn't hit some kind of some of those decision making outcomes if you can't show up the defense if the shots are that much tougher at the nba level because the defenders are just better and they know exactly what he's going to do. Then what's stopping him from looking more like in alonzo career and we saw out win. I'd love to hear you guys kind of thoughts on on what you think. He would look like in in his prime. I guess on a situation that fits him. Because that for me. The struggle that i have coming up with what that looks like an and when i do realizing how improbable that that has been historically that for me is why i've kinda faded cam. Thomas a little bit on my board yet. It is always kind of a concern when you don't really have an answer for like who is in the nba. That's like him that is thriving That usually is a little bit of a warning sign. And honestly i'll probably lower aft on camp thomas after this conversation. At least i feel my brain going that way I think it will involve becoming a little bit more viable on defense to where we're not comparing him to a tree or type where we're comparing him more to like. Someone like aaron me. Smith on the celtics. Of course that guy is much longer in has clearly a higher motor so even that sounds kind of weird coming off the tongue but a guy who kinda showed. He had something to his defense. That was not clear at all At lower levels..

"But i think you providing your thing counterpoint in that that pick and roll playmaker sort of perspective and being able to in a way that a lot of things aren't create something out of nothing with the ball in their hands on a short roll. I'm wondering then. Why would you pick they on sharp over him and like they're sharp is all this like i haven't liked the espn's big awhile. But i i can't imagine is ranked higher than forty five And you know. I i don't want to. I don't wanna strongman because none of you guys are arguing. That shingling is really a lottery. I guess that's that's this is a very long way of saying there's more creative ways to find the value. You're looking for in a certain player by retooling them. And taking sort of micro scales here and there to create this quarter like frankenstein post guy when you can get those skills elsewhere. Also not have to siphon off as much In the areas we haven't you know been singing saying praises so doesn't interesting point. Yeah no a lot of great stuff. You're and i think we've pretty much hit. "The post is is just not an efficient way to score the basketball in this day and age. There are better ways to do it more often than not and the guys who get to do it are insanely dominant at it. So if you do by the shot or you do buy that kind of court vision court awareness and honestly. I think you have to buy both if you wanna see him as somebody who can really play off ball at a high level because if the if the shot isn't there but the vision is he's not going to have large windows to make it work because he's not a burst guy either and if the vision isn't there but the shot is dan he's he's still a creep for himself score who cannot use his gravity to create easier. Looks guys so. That's why i'm a little bit lower on him too and i guess the only difference between me and you hear henry is is that i think some of the wing vets in that range might be a little less a little a little further away from kind of replacement level or contributing at an average level Then then you do. But honestly like i'm going to take a look at my board and there's a chance that a couple of those guys slide ahead of moore even a couple more utilitarian kind of ancillary guards do for various reasons that you kinda gave already so old. Sorry go ahead. i just want one. Quick qualifier. cutting is important point. Of just what he said. They remind myself that. I wanted to say it. Quickly is that The reason the post used anymore is because not only is it in itself inefficient action. It ruins everything else that could create inefficient acts on the basketball court. It is your as people like to say when you were posting up and you're not planning to get A play finished from the i. Posting up your basically expecting your on ramp So i just wanna throw in that qualifier. That not only..

"Even on offense like sure. He's accounts options a player score the ball when he has his hands. That's great in terms of in towns. The player i mean he can be begin. The ball win guarded and find ways decent clip the to score. That's great white value. Does that play provided team. If your only real value add requires you holding the ball from multiple seconds on end every data's your positive value add. I don't think My worry with him even offensively. I won't even touch defense. But offensively like i think i think the and mark in everyone here is not a very good job for about lying -fensive worries but offensively. I worry that there is too much leeway given to like. Oh yeah he's incredibly talented. Yes i guess. No beginning semantics. I don't really feel the need to talented shirt. Seo's talented he. Of course he's talented. You put you put a lot of good counting stats in professional basketball league However if you're an nba team like what is your plan for him to contribute positively. Because there's only one. I i'd be curious to hear if anyone else has any other ideas i've tried trust me. I've tried to think about him as a d. h. o. Operator like a spacer and their touch indicators he's smart enough to sort of run that role But i just think that the the plan for him in in any sort of first round pick investment has to be that he is in in his minutes giving volume scoring from the post. And there's just not a lot of avenues to where offense focused on volume scoring from the post has worked out well in the last five years. That's just not your joel. Like joel embiid is like the beginning of that answers and i don't. I'm not trying to be. I guess. I'm not trying to be overly harsh But it's like we can watch the tape. We see the drop steps. We see the face ups in the jabs he by for dong. It's great it's fun to watch I i really struggle from team-building for coaching for america player aspect. Like if you're taking that guy knowing he's going to be huge dependent negative and that. Oh it's gonna be offset by the offense while the offense is gonna upset. It is having a ball in his hands all the time. And like you're having your betting on him becoming this really really got big and we haven't seen a really long time to really hold any kind of positive value which is a huge asks me and i don't want to you know Kind of going a little bit twitter talking about what i was saying about sort of over indexing on archetype in sort of like where we draw the line on swinging sort of riskier maybe more preferable archetype bats Like to me. I'm looking my board right now. has been updated in a little bit but i've got shingling like forty six and p players forty five to basically like twenty nine or twenty eight even are all in some form or other like rain sort of an obviously decreasing as we go down the rankings of confidence interval but like bets on just like being a neutral wing player like any any..

"Your front office deprioritize winning around the talent you have and you have to get creative. And that's just how it is. They're like four or five teams. That i really think can Can draft automatically build for title and for the most part those are teams. That don't even have to draft like teams that can just pick guys in free agency because it's how worse for them but That's my really long right. we can go off there. But that's my my insurance will and you talk about building for contender right. But we've all kind of recognize this as we do. Draft work. rookies are almost always bad. The only chance rookie has at being a a solid. Nba player in their first year is probably like if they're in the top three Historically that is where you would expect perhaps some proximity to like a solid basketball player in their first year. So when you are drafting for kind of fit you still have to take the long view and in terms of the order of roster construction for me. that's why i'm i can sometimes over index or maybe properly indexed. I'm not sure yet on archetype here and there because when you draft a player especially earlier in a rebuild or earlier in your contention window that limits the other types of players that you can put around him and be successful. And maybe i'm not looking at this with enough coaching creativity. And that's on me but When you when you draft player who limits kind of what you would need to put around him and the classic examples for me are undersides undersized especially one way like offense only fives and combo guard. You don't pass. And because what. You need to to conceptualize those from roster. Construction standpoint are basically two of the rarest architect. I can think of Like primary initiator Wings and secondary rim-protector fours who aren't going to kill you on offense and so when you look at a guy like schengen..

"It back to who henry was referring to as the elephant in the room Many have argued that representatives mobility on defense as well but schengen actually represents another risk. Where you know. He is kind of more of a polished player than keen johnson. Or a chi- jones at this point. But it's a whole different type of risk where you're factoring in archetypes types which we're going to really delve into in a second and the risk that you're running is like there is a situation in which you're last in opponent field goal percentage at the rim and that's your squad and he's averaging you know in a in an ideal situation like twenty and ten or whatever and that's just who you are you know your theoretical ceiling has been hindered by your inability to defend And i almost want to like challenge viewpoints like that because While that is a possibility. I think that fear sometimes ends up being in the driver's seat for a guy like schengen and there are ways that you could incubate him or ways that he could maybe get marginally better at some things Unless you don't think that in which case that's fair. But i guess what i'm trying to say is that i feel like in general of the draft circles. I'm a part of understand the idea of taking kion johnson or like a Or or or a kite jones but the risk involved in kind of going off script from your preferred are types still is people are still very risk averse to that so i love to kind of talk about it and tie it back to evans co about just you know not worrying about like what the ideal championship team would do..
