And This might be Kyle Burrows first NHL point as there was a delay penalty on Minnesota and Birkoff Ski Put the puck into a wide open net. Hey, stop it! Center ice. Let's see if they give it the boroughs. They do. It is McDonald and Burrows on the assist. Birkoff ski on the goal and the Avalanche cut the lead 40 to choose Can has it down low leaves it for Donskoy shot towards the net right for Don story again, and it's a glove save made by Talbot as he robs Donskoy in between the circles. So congratulations to Kyle Burrows on Monday in his first NHL game, had his first NHL fight and in any Children and number two, it's his first NHL assist. This is the answer looking for the next one to cut it through a one goal lead. Good zone. Time for that third line. Talbot, Wild blank Blues 2-0 for record 11th home win in row
"Cam Talbot made thirty seven saves as the wild blank the blues to zero Marcus Johannson and Carrillo caprice are supplied the offense with a pair of second period goals but it was Talbot who stole the show with his second shot on the season despite the while being outshot thirty seven eleven you're trying to do everything you can to to swallow up rebounds and into the parking places to learn those you know second opportunities and give our guys every opportunity to take a breather Getafe soft on changing and not get handed too often the wild won three straight overall and eight of their last ten while also extending their franchise record home winning streak to eleven the blues got nine saves from Jordan Bennington they've lost seven of their last nine I'm Kevin fall miss

"Number five number five. I'm not too happy with them. Being here to be honest. But i had the ducks i don't i haven't done anything to really make them a playoff team. I don't think kesslers out. He's done then gibson is he their number one goaltender john gibson. I don't know i. There's nothing on this team that i really like. I don't really have much to say about them. Especially with that being on the west. But from what i could see. I don't see them making the playoffs. Especially without how disappointing. Their season was last year to five hundred team. They're not gonna do anything again. Okay all right so who. My number five is the wild. So i think. I think zachary's is gonna take back bay step back. I think cam talbot won't play as well as he has. I don't think nick no. I don't think nick benigno is What's called i'm sorry. I don't think nick bananas can be able to step up on the same I think they're really just going to have kevin fiala on offense You know people are banking on krill. Cappers of or correal krill correal rookie But he's not the rookie that you wanna bet on you. Know they're top for is still solid but other than that you know. I mean i think they could make plays push cam talbot says on level but i mean i mean. He played on a pretty decent calgary team. You know And i don. Who had offense support. And i don't really think that minnesota has the offensive support to match that. I can see what you're saying. Plus the affiliate should play like shit against the knox in the play in round so But yes i them at five. I mean five and four interchangeable from me. But but i do think that they're not interchangeable. But i think i have minnesota actually at number four because i think the addition of can't tell but it's actually great for them He definitely had one of his better seasons last year or at least on the come back to where he used to be..

"Last one for me, man thanks time. You you've spent now. The last couple of seasons playing in both places in the level BERTA and lake. I think about your your series against Winnipeg coming up. And I can't help but think. I can't read my brain around with the environment of these Games is going to be like because when I think of Winnipeg in the playoffs, the white out and I think that crowd when I think a Calgary in the plows of read anything of crowd, and it's hard for me to conceive these two teams. All schools might division rivals. Off, a series in an empty arena, have you been able to conceive what that's going to be like? No, it's GONNA. Be So weird I think that's one of the biggest things that no one can really wrap their head around right now is what is it GonNa? Feel like being inside an arena. When like is there going to be? A national anthem still is just going to be an you know. There's not going to be anything going on around us. Anytime a goal scored. You're going to be able to hear you know basically nothing except for the guys celebrating so nothing to to pump you up at home and nothing to. You, know! To battle through on the road I mean sometimes the best games you get to the other teams fans yelling at you and it just makes you want to play that much harder and at home. Defense are behind you and they want you to play that much better so I mean without fans in the stands really takes a lot from the atmosphere and. And you know how much fun gains can be but. I mean we're GONNA have to create our own. Atmosphere guests momentum because it's just going to be a weird weird feeling with no fans in the stands 'cause I said that's the best part of playoff hockey. Is Any advantage for you as a goalie. Maybe you'll be able to eavesdrop some Ford's conversations or things like that. Again, that's another thing. I never really thought of these are these are great points, but I think guys would probably be a little bit more. Cautious about what they're saying on the ice and maybe whisper low, but quieter but I think the biggest thing is. You'll be able to hear all the chirp out there so I think the cameras might have to throw mute button on during the play and stuff like that because I. Don't know how much of that stuff is GonNa play on TV so I don't know I have to. I don't know if they're going to have to get ten second delay on the feet or what? The cameras are gonNA. Pick up all that stuff might not be good. Yeah, they should take a page out of the Jordan documentary, and do like all the curse words in it, and then one for the families to watch. Can't hey, congratulations, man. This was some of the best news to come out in the last couple of weeks Arab Alabama so last one from me, but finally like do you think is a band-aid? Is this is the one year reprieve or do you think there's a chance that it could stick around for a little bit longer? I think there's a chance that we stick around a little bit longer. One of the? one of the main sticking points that coming up with all that money was at the university would work with us and allow us to to build an advisory board of alumni. Business Leaders You know major donors to the team so people that. You know really care about having the team, the community and people from outside the community that you know just WanNa. Be there helping and strategic partner so You know sometimes the. You know the athletic director and the president and stuff like that they're. They're going to work with us to to make sure that we have everything that we need for that advisory board moving forward to to put us in the best position possible to succeed moving forward and. In Our job on the board is to Come up with a better way to market the team. Hopefully new arena plans to help the team get into another conference and you know just really set them up for success through. For the future, because we know that it can be a successful program if it's run properly and I think that with the sport it's. It's going to be run the right way so I definitely don't think it's a band aid, but we still have a lot to do. Awesome stuff can thanks so much time and good luck in the in the summer. Play offs of they happen. Awesome thank you very much appreciate the time. Thanks can't, Talbot. Educating us on the plight and the resurrection of Alabama Huntsville Hockey, really cool, happy story in a flood of not so good ones. Now, it's time for a fake favorite segment of the week. "I'm like Kaplan. I'm a national NHL reporter. We're GONNA get to. Return to play stuff in the second segment. Because, there is a news talk about insofar as the player reaction to the playoff format and things like that that has happened since we last join you, but obviously the topic of conversation that begin the show is the league's reaction. The players reaction sports reaction to the killing of George Floyd. In Minneapolis the protests that followed its aftermath and the larger discussion about racial injustice and inequality in our society. Emily I'd say the conversation was probably started in the hockey community. Last Friday when of Andrew Cain appeared on first take on ESPN and had this to say you know we need. We need so many more athletes that don't look like me. Speaking out about this, the same amount of outrage that I have inside and using that to voice, their opinions voiced their frustration because Oliver. It's GonNa Change. We've been arranged for hundreds of years and nothing changed. It's time for guys like. Tom Brady and Sidney crosby and and those type of figures to speak up about what is right in clearly in this case, what is unbelievable wrong because that's the only way we're going to actually create that unified. Anger? Degree that necessary change, especially waves, walkabout system, racism evanger canes, comments led the team mate. Logan Couture. Having a very heartfelt message posted to social media on Friday and that really got things rolling I think now we had Blake Wheeler. Scores and scores of players well over two dozen players more than that. That have put their mind to to notepad. Phones and posted at the social. Media Huge Stars like Austin Matthews talking about his own background as a Mexican American. Steven Stamkos came out with a message today, Alexandra and even chimed in briefly. With very thing about ovechkin statement is that you could always tell that he's the one who writes them. A lot of exclamation points and emojis. So a lot, a cross section of players, and then of course, the teams as every business in society has done. Pretty much. The last seventy two hours also released their statements and some cases. It was just teams signal boosting their players. In other cases, it was teams putting out statements of their own. As we do the show on Tuesday there is only one national hockey league team, but not signal boosted its own player, nor a statement of its own on the killing of George Floyd or the protests or racial injustice, and that would be the rangers. If you've been following the news that's coming down from the top on that issue, but everybody else last one. I think that we were looking at. In our sort of informal tracking of it was the Detroit Red Wings and they came out with well. It was a statement. Today Tuesday so, Emily, what is your? What is your view on everything? That's transpired in the last week. To be honest, I've grappled with what we should expect for hockey from hockey and what we can expect from hockey and you know I say this with the full disclosure that it's a predominantly white sport. I'm a white woman. You're white man and we're doing this conversation a week after a Chemo Lou came out and talked about the racism that still exists currently in a sport, and so part of me feels like speaking out right now. We're seeing hockey team. Speak out right now, just performance to be quite frank, and there's calls for them to put out a statement. Just put out a statement, and they'll say the things that are supposed to say, and sometimes they do bungle it. But. It doesn't necessarily mean change unless it's sustainable and let's not forget that. When a Kema Lou went on the today show the NHL PR staff put out a statement that said we really appreciate a chemo. Share all the experiences of racism that he experienced in youth hockey and Minor League hockey full stop and ignoring the fact that he's talking about the racism that existed in their own league. So I am excited to talk to Kevin Weeks. Because for me. This is my personal view. I'm not counting on anyone to say anything who is white. I am in full on listening mode. I'm being compassionate. I'm trying to figure out. How can be more supportive? But I also have to understand that. We're at a really crucial time, and yes, it is important for some leaders to speak out and organizations to speak out because that's what fans. Could. Listen to and say hey, if the Detroit Red Wings, then maybe I will, but at the same time I don't know if these are the people we should be expecting it from. We should be listening right now to black people who have been oppressed. Yeah and so a couple of things. I know that the Rangers thing is is James Dolan debt, but honestly anyone who's ever been around that franchise. Would understand that they would like I said the weeks. They're like the last team that you'd expect to say anything about the COPS. The cops are very much a part of the Rangers Experience Awards. The Rangers give out. Our names cops. And that's fine i. mean that's life. Players I think are in in the same way, respectful of of law enforcement for the role that law enforcement plays in their own lives, and within their own safety within their own bubble. And so I think a lot of the statements that came out. While like Emily said. We're performance and dealing with all of the words that you'd expect them to deal with when it comes to racism and violence, and in some cases going as far to say, the black lives matter. You had a couple in the islanders and the Saint Louis Blues that we're very complementary to law enforcement, and.

"Episode Forty. I'm Cam I'm Carter with my son Chris so we're back everyone and we weren't actually planning to record an episode. You didn't have that much to talk about yet. DADS so you're holding off. And then the battle of Alberta happened a few days ago and got all riled up and you said let's record. It's something so this is probably going to be a short one but with dad you never know. It could go on for a while. But we're anticipating a shorter episode just to bring up your thoughts dad before I had the microphone over to. You just wanted to thank everyone for the reviews on I tunes and spotify and if you have any questions topic ideas send us an email at view from the penalty box at gmail.com and always follow dad on twitter later Cam Connor. NHL Instagram facebook. So Dad talk about the battle of Alberta. Well I know I talked a little bit about Kassian and in fighting CA chuck Koska took random. Cook is the is a young forward. The place for Calgary flames. He's got a lot of talent is his father was one hell of a hockey player in the NHL. His brother I believe plays for one say Buffalo. They're good hockey family. They stowe doubt about it. But you know in the game of hockey. There's there's things that you do and you don't do and you know so. He ran. Cassie in two or three times times and Kassian who plays with the orders. Who is a big guy aggressive? That's how he plays. He was a former first round draft choice. So he's not just the big a guy and a fighter. He can play the game a hockey too. In fact he plays on David's line. Most of the time. But you know Bettman's Kinda change this game name and you had to show up and if you didn't show up you know you're not GonNa last very long playing the game hockey while Batman you know he'll say while well it's a look at how many people are watching hockey now and the fans love Amore. He's taken pretty well hitting when I see the commentators talk nowadays. Today's about or did you see that. Hit hardly a head that's just like bumping into somebody you know you can't do an open ice hit anymore. If you hit somebody who's WHO's got the head down to center ice man. They used to knock guys out back in the day. Scott Stevens Z.. Come down in the middle of the ice with your head down. You better put as you head up because you got Banged Man oh man I mean I do admit it costs concussions. But you learn to play with add up so Batman you know if you're forward and you dump the puck into the offensives into the the other teams zone and you go to go around the back. In the old days the decode killed and now you gotTa let the Guy Go because otherwise they call it interference. I see guys who just had their STU stick up against somebody Shin Pads they gotta slashing penalty like like. They don't allow you to play an aggressive game at all anymore. So when when I saw okay so impotent Orleans and Calgary flames zero three hour car ride from each other in the province of Alberta so there is a little bit of a rivalry no doubt about it and so when this thing with Kassian Edmonton oilers and CA- Chuck Calgary flames started up. Well got a little bit of interest Unfortunately you know could chuck wooden fightback casio was pissed disguise. Because this is the third time he ran him and he actually went out of his way leaving his point man in in in the defense event and he ran. Cassie behind the net. who was already mucking with another calgary flames player so he went out of his way to hit? This guy knocked his helmet up twice so after the third time Kassian went after him he had enough enough rules the world so he went after him. And of course could took didn't do anything and Kasinga's two game suspension and so on and forth now when Kassian came back to first game back for him after serving two game suspension was in edited. Not playing the Calgary flames so be it. You know the question was always casting gonna go after him. There's no way you could go after you get you know the NHL send somebody nobody to watch the game to make sure that all the rules were followed and that casted didn't go out of his way to go to joke. As it turned out the M-TALL advanced France. They showed up all the seats full and that was kind of old time hockey. They were expecting. It turned out to be a good game and there was a fight. Could Chuck did dropped his gloves with Kassian and hats off to him. I'm glad he showed up. And so now a week later they got to go back to Calgary. Edmonton and Calgary in Calgary which today is February third. Super Bowl was yesterday. And the order. Game Calgary game was on Saturday. Good were first. So the Calgary fanzine -ticipant in another rough game and they filled the stands they killed the stance and sure enough. A guy on the oilers. Little Guy Gonyea. You can't be you know. He's a hockey player. And he poked at a puck that maybe the Goalie Cam Talbot Talbott was covering up. Well Cap Talbert. Just lost it. He he jumped right on top of Ganja and you know these goals they don't take AAC Damascus off and make it a fair fight. He's going after GONYEA. He's already atop and the blocker probably hangs out probably six six inches past your fist. You know when you're wearing a blocker for like the goalies wear and he started drilling Gonyea in the face with the with a with a blocker. Wonder why he didn't get any extra penalty minutes for that and so then everybody starts getting involved to help each other and then the Goldie went after somebody else and he kept his mask onto cabinet. You Know Cam doesn't have to do that. He went after another oiler fights started breaking out. It's an unwritten rule in the game a hockey that if a goalie is getting involved going after hockey players in his own end and I I saw many times back when I played the goalie who is at the far end. His job is to go after at team's goalie scully versus going so the Orleans Goldie Smith. He came out to center ice it he stood there. I think there's a penalty if you go across that red line so instead right at that red line in Cross it and then after all Cam Talbot Saum there so Talbot skied to center ice while they're scraps going on and they went attitude attitude I know on my twitter page. We saw that fight. You know it said there was one point seven million viewers and so what I look and I also peavy art it. So when I rewind it and I was watching it I noticed Calgary. Flames fans were all standing and cheering like at. This was all time hockey. There was not goon stuff. Where back in the day? Would you played the flyers with the Boston Bruins. They add two three four four five top guys will in the case of the Bruins. Those guys were for the most part pretty good hockey players. They did play a pretty regular shift pliers fliers few those guys hardly got on the ice but they would just jump you for behind so if somebody went out that was playing the flyers and was aggressive. All of a sudden. You'd feel one of these guys on your back. And they just jump into the coaches would send guys out. I remember. That coach used to coach Buffalo in some other teams might Keenan gene. He said guys out after me guys will come up and say to me. Sorry I gotTa fight you. My coach sent me out after so. That's coon hockey. And the coaches coach's contributed that you know to that era. There's no doubt about it. That's cleaned up. That's gone and that should be in hockey but hockey is a IT'S A. It's a Gamer reactions. And it's a physical game. You don't have an outer bounce where you're GonNa get hit you. Can you run over the sidelines. And you don't get it. There's no out of bounds and hockey. You'RE GONNA get hit and you know that you play the game. That's the rules. And it's all fair and square. You GonNA learn how to carry a puck with your head up. You gotTa have good peripheral vision because if you just look straight ahead. It's the guy coming out the side you don't see that's going in a plow you so you're GonNa have good peripheral Batman's taken a lot of this away from the game and I still think that will put record number of people in the stands. I think a lot of the empty seats. Maybe even though they're paid for would people start showing up again. So that game in Calgary way to go. What good hockey it would calgary comes back? Then but did you bet everybody is going to be pumped up to go see it and so I just think that we got to bring that kind of hockey back and if if it's a fair fight dropped your gloves. You shouldn't be afraid of Kassian. He let that run them two times. 'cause he there's no penalty called but he knows does because he's an aggressive player that if he was to run could chuck he would've been in the box simple as that and so he had to behave himself and so oh after the third run atom. I would've lost it to so my hat's off to Kassian and what really good hockey. It really was good hockey to watch. It was all time hockey. It was all in both all the papers. In Edmonton Calgary was written up about this game. And like I said one point seven million viewers. You're will turn to watch that fight. It was unbelievable. It was great great hockey and I missed it and sewed a lot other fans that grew up seeing a fair fight on the I said You know tempers boil overhead. It was wonderful so I hope that there's a little bit more leniency. And the refs the refs let these guys play. 'cause they could easily do what they always do. All you raised you stick a little high up. That's two minutes all you looked at him bad. That's two minutes. told the refs hats off to the rap set. Let these guys play the game or hockey and didn't keep blowing the whistle. All the time like D- do so I know that You know when I played with the Rangers and I'm thinking like this now. Hockey is so expensive to watch like the seats are so expensive. There's no doubt about it and so what I think is happening now. Yeah we'll get a lot of people showing up to the Games and I think I don't have any stats on this but I gotta believe when I see the price in Edmonton Calgary Montreal and a lot of the other cities..

Sure, let's get after it truck Murray starts us off he references the caps and flyers game from a couple of days ago. He said, do you think there should be a delay game penalty if a goalie grabs of ask back of his mask, we've all seen this any kind of pulls it off and throws over the ref to stop play think that should be a panel. Of course, it should be a penalty. And I think of. The official believes that. That's what he did. It is a penalty. But in the in the moment, it's so easy to say a strap is loose. It was falling off. So is there is a piece of gamesmanship? There are Jay. But if the official believes that he ripped off the mask, it's the same as taking the off the moorings it would be delay game penalty. It just with the net off the morning, sometimes it's a little bit more obvious, but trying to keep these goaltenders healthy immediately stopped place, the whistles gonna blow as soon as they see that he lost his mask. But it's not as easy to see. Whether he did it intentionally. So I believe that the official sees it. He's going to call the penalty. It just very very difficult to ascertain that particular point. Whether he did it on purpose to denote Weaver who says now that we've had a couple of years to sit on it. What do you think of the new playoff format? I kind of miss the old format that one versus eight two seven, etc. I despise it like Satan. Honestly, I think it's awful. I think it's terrible. That Winnipeg Nashville have to play in the first round. I think it's all in the second round. I think it's awful that we saw. Pittsburgh in Washington doing it for years the players apparently don't like it. There was a poll the athlete did a pole with players that. They don't like it. I would like to go back to the one three eight. Now, the reason the NHL did is they wanted to spice up the first two rounds because many people believed that the first round of the playoffs felt like an extension of the regular season. So they thought they forced you to play with in your division that it would add some spice to the first and second round, which I guess it has, but I don't think it's right. And also they wanted to give some sort of a break to the teams that win their division. Giving them teams that barely made the playoffs as the wildcard. But to answer your question. Don L, I think it's awful. I think it needs to be changed. And hopefully in the new CBA they will come up with a change. Because if the players don't like it, maybe it's something to players can kind of fight for Thomas PI wants to know, very simple, Jamie. Benn finished a top producer the league certainly with his relationship with the organization. It doesn't seem like he was what he wasn't the beginning the year, right? That that. Line when you had Sagan playing together with Ben they look dangerous, not the same. I still think he's got potential. I still think he's very good. But when you take a look at some of the lines and some of the players and what they're producing is. You know, vetch gin is the a kucherov is the Johnny hydro probably not at this particular point. So I think it's a fair point. This is probably not the season where we'd be talking about him as a top five producer appoints question from Glenn j about the flyer situation. They say Carter heart due back any day. Now. How do they juggle the goalie situation Elliott is played well and Cam Talbot waiting in the wings, who's the odd man out or do they carry three goalies?.

"Edmonton Oilers. They're gonna throw Cam Talbot back in goal here. Tonight, six five and one with two shutouts in his career against the Blackhawks. These kind of been bumped out of the starting position by Mikko Koskinen who recently was signed to a three year contract extension with some decent money and not long after that. Peter. The general manager that was here in Edmonton was let go Keith Gretzky. The brother Wayne Gretzky has now taken over as interim general manager and some big decisions are going to be made. But this hockey club. The rumor is that can't Talbot is in the net tonight possibly being showcased for trade. I mean, anything could happen. I guess it's all up in the air. Yeah. It was real interesting. When they signed the backup goaltender who doesn't have a lot of experience, and he's not a young guy either to a three year good money extension for camp Talbot. I think it was kind of an insult to them at the same time, but Talbott's a professional. He's gonna do whatever he needs to do to help. What this team he's with the Oilers now, and he's gonna play a strong game, do whatever he can. But it's a real interesting situation. What's going on here with the Oilers with the firing of not only the coach put the general manager? Keith Gretzky have the ability to go in here and make blockbuster trades one way or the other. I don't know. All right. Let's go down to level up our anthem singer. See by the don's. But so proud Lee. After try lights, lastly, whose broad stripes and bright stars through.

David outscored fifteen to three we have a one one game just about eight minutes into the third Rangers. Bring it to Isleta rice. Yes. For the left wing corner. Dropping it between his legs. But the only player there Ryan for the islanders. Kalac pushes it ahead. Now, it's devante joining the Russian center to Anders Lee left wing over the red line. Try to go back to tape charging to the net. But let them a little too far tapes below the Rangers. Go line will now peel off to his normal spot at the blue and the Rangers would dumpers here at center, but now needed chain, and they'll walk Nelson for the counter attack got the red line right side it around the Shelton ranger ice farside near where it dropped down. But he couldn't control. Mats zuccarello for the Rangers to center ice cars. L broke it up at the red line. It's an estate and poked by Kreider past Bailey. And the Rangers have the puck savannah chat over the Allender line. Fires right into the crest on the jersey of Robin letter pin it there with the glove and take the whistle chapter twenty sixteen. Islanders still tied at one eleven twenty five thirds helps the ordeal. Volleying one goal so far it has to stars against the issue that has allowed. Two games before in this series for Hendrick is no wins against the outer since October thirteenth wants to sixteen factors. One night. Tunas last twelve dating back to October twenty fourteen few wins in there for backups at that time Cam Talbot won a pair of games against the islanders. Zeke is busting through the right, circle and ranger is curl to the half board. "King misconduct podcast with Don. League-record and welcome to the Thursday edition of game has conduct. I am Don McGregor. Thank you for a long me the day off yesterday. But there was a lot going on. But we're back today. We back again tomorrow for the top five of the week and all that just three games last night. Really not a lot of interesting contests outside of the Oilers in the blues knights come from behind victory for the Edmonton Oilers. They were down really dominated in this one. Cam Talbot did everything he could to keep Edmonton in this game. When Saint Louis really put the pressure on and shoot me when Saint Louis, but the pressure on the blues had the to nothing lead. After one Nugent Hopkins makes it to one early in the second period cleft bomb ties it with less than a minute to play in regulation, and then they would go to the shootout. And that would do it for the Saint Louis blues, the Oilers pickup the extra point as both Ryan nugent-hopkins and Connor mcdavid score in the shootout. So things are looking good. Since Ken Hitchcock is take it over. We'll see if there's enough time. Time for the Oilers to kind of gain some traction than our two games above NHL five hundred at fourteen twelve and Tuesday. They get the three two win ducks doubled up. The Blackhawks four two in the sharks for the five to one win over the Carolina Hurricanes Pavane sqi continues to have an MVP type season. He kinda just wonder where this San Jose Sharks team would be without them because they've been kind of average in taking advantage. I think of a lacklustre division in the Pacific and he's got eighteen goals. Thornton's also played very well. And he came away with the three assists performance last night. So as the aging veteran now continues to get healthy, it's been a nice combination for of the Saint Louis blues the play of scoring goals and Joe Thornton assisting hunt..

"But you looked more recently in the way that Arizona and the islanders played, but still it was it was a tough road for me too. Because I was really thinking about the flames and how they bounce back after getting shell the other night. Islanders winners of three in a row undefeated in their division. Great picks there. As other statement, number one. My Rangers really need to learn how to close out games but glad they got two points, which don't go bad as debut only likes to say. And number two. Is it time to start keeping an eye on the Red Wings? They are on a three game winning streak and all against teams. I wouldn't consider easy to play against stars, blue jackets and the devils. You're right Red Wings our team that starting to play better. They were brutal at the beginning of their stuck on one win. Stuck on no wins for the longest time. And now they're beginning to warm up just a little bit. Howard's been good in goal. They're getting tallies from somebody. That's not a named. Athena. See you as I said Larkin with a couple of cysts last night Mathis. Attributed so. Yeah. Detroit starting to play a little bit better. I don't think they're a playoff team. But certainly they've been no pushover. Tom says stayed up late last night to watch the hawks and the Oilers Meco Kostin at six six makes the net look kid size. If he continues to play well, Kenny unseat Talbot as the starter. Well, let's see. I mean, it's a one game with the forty saves. But against a pretty good offensive Blackhawks team. Here's what I'll say about Cam Talbot. And I got to know him when he was the backup to lung quiz with the Rangers. He is a terrific hit. He really is any deserve that contract. He got an Edison. But it's about winning. It's about consistency. And Cam is not shown that and he's played a lot of games 'cause they really haven't had a legitimate backup there in a while since he's been there so Kostin and can come in and play that way. Sure. Why not nobody is married to these contracts in Edmonton is on the verge of maybe blowing that thing up if it doesn't work out. So if I'm the powers that be they're McLennan knowing that I'm probably out of a job. If I missed the playoffs. Why am I going to be worried about who's making the most money? It's about who gives me the best chance to win. And if he gives them the best chance to win then Talbot since the same thing happening in New Jersey. Schneider's the guy making all the money, but last year was conveyed when an all the games, and so can Cade became the number one goaltender, and that's just the way that it works. It has to be that way. You saw with the Rangers. What happens shattenkirk not playing? Well, he's got a big contract for years left on it. You're gonna bench you buy because the Rangers want to win games and the coach wants to see what he has. So absolutely. That can happen. Let's see Eric says a we'll never get a Matt forte style. Will we ever get him at forte style rant on the podcast because hockey fans aren't morons keep up the good work done? Eric is talking about my rant on the Michael Kay show. And we were giving away money for who's going to score the first touchdown for the jets and somebody said Matt forte who has a play for the jets in two years in his actually technically retired. If we took calls on the podcast, Eric there'd be a very good chance that I would have ran Phillips as strong wind last night for the. Rangers which three players have been the best so far for them..
