"It just seems weird. It seems like a very odd decision to move off of Zappi and risk him getting claimed and everything else when, what is your backup plan? It's not even Malik Cunningham. You waived him too. It was interesting. I don't know what your thoughts are, but I was surprised at the way New England handled that. Yeah. You know, I know he came back on the practice squad, and maybe that was kind of like, you know what, we could risk losing him. But that says a lot, right? You're willing to risk losing Bailey Zappi and for the entire off-season, we're all wondering, will he take over for Mac Jones? So I'm probably going to give away a little sample of my story next week. I'm doing winners and losers for the preseason. And I wrote Mac Jones is a winner. He hasn't really done much, but it's all set up for him to succeed this season. I feel like Bill Belichick wants to make sure this guy has a fair shake. Yeah, last year was a disaster with the coaching hires that I made. But Mac, I'm going to do you a favor here. I'm going to give you a dominant defense. I'm going to give you a reliable running game, a competent OC and Bill O'Brien, and we're going to make Zappi on the practice squad. Like, what else do you want Mac Jones? If you can't win with a good defense, a good running game, and you can't improve the passing game. Yeah, I get the targets or the weapons are not as good, but it's all set up for you to do something. And, you know, Trey Lance will kill for the situation, right? Like even as Zach Wilson, the same guys from the quarterback 2021 draft class. So I just view Mac Jones as a winner, but does he deserve to have all this kind of, you know, success around him? Yeah, no, it's a good point, man. And if Mac Jones is smiling ear to ear right now, because Bailey Zappi is on the practice squad. And Mollie Cunningham, by the way, also got added back to the practice squad. So you end up getting them both back. But to your point, like anybody claims them, they're gone. I mean, you know, it shows New England's not too in love with either one of them. But if I'm Mac Jones, I'm like, look, both those guys just got cut. So I know I'm clearing away the number one guy. Number two, I don't have a defensive coordinator as my offensive coordinator anymore. So that's a nice change of pace. I actually have a coach who's on the offensive side who's running the offense. And Bill O'Brien, who said what you want about him as a head coach, he's a good coordinator. And they added, you know, they went out and got Kasicki and they added Juju Smith-Schuster. I'm sure they lost Jacoby Myers. But all told, like, look, I don't think the Pats are going to be the greatest show on turf this year. But they're better set up for success than they were a year ago on offense, where a year ago, Matt Patricia, who's a defensive coordinator who can't even coach a defense, was coaching the offense. I don't know. Bill Belichick, maybe the greatest coach ever. It's an interesting decision, to say the least. Yeah, no, I'm with you. And I'm really intrigued to see what, like, you know, last week we were talking about, like, it's a bad year for the pesky teams to make a noise in the AFC because it's just so low in the AFC. I really want to light the Patriots. And we're going to get into it right now with their AFC bracket predictions. But it's going to be tough, man. And it just, again, all eyes on Mac Jones. And, yeah, you know, even a guy like the wide receiver from last year, the second-round pick, the surprise, Taequann Thornton, right, the speedy wide receiver, he's kind of struggling. So it might be a tough uphill battle for Mac Jones. But, again, like, when you have a good defense and you have a good running game, all you need is, like, maybe 17 points to win a game. Yeah, I canned the ball to Armandre Stevenson. Don't turn the ball over and hope you can score, like, on one or two key drives in the game. All right, look, let's get into it. So we got the AFC preview. We'll do the NFC after this. You and I differ on a few of our playoff teams, not that many of them. Why don't we lead off with this? Why don't you give your division winners in the AFC, and then who are your three wildcards as well? Okay, for the AFC West, I have the Chargers. The AFC East, I have the Jets. AFC North, I have the Bengals. The AFC South, I have the Jaguars. And now my AFC wildcard teams are stacked. I got the Buffalo Bills, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Baltimore Ravens. I'm telling you, man, you wrote the story about the quarterbacks in the AFC. They're just dominant quarterbacks. So for me, I can't pick the teams who are the underdogs right now, but those seven for me are pretty loaded. Okay, so I know the big question under that is, why the Chargers over the Chiefs? Yeah, I know that's going to be the big question I'm going to get for that one there. And it might not be the best reasoning here, but I know it's only one year of a sample size, but I saw the Rams firsthand covering them a year ago and trying to be a defending Super Bowl champion for the longest season in NFL history. They got to that mountaintop, and they lost that urgency. It's a different scenario because they don't have a Patrick Mahomes, and they just unloaded everybody after a terrible 5-12 season. But I just saw the fatigue, and maybe they parted too hard, Sean McVay, and everybody seemed injured. I don't know if I'm ever going to see this again, Matt, but the offensive line had 11 starting offensive line combinations in the first 12 games, and I could not keep track of who's who on that roster. So part of me kind of feels like, well, they've won. You might be right here. I forget what it is. AFC West six or seven consecutive AFC West division time. They've been the big hosted five straight AFC title. That's a lot, and at some point it's like, two Super Bowls in four years, I think we kind of let off a little bit, and that's the only reason I have. I'm not even worried about the wide receivers, Matt, on the Chiefs. I think they have some good players, but it's just kind of getting back to that mountaintop, and it's been two decades since the team has repeated, and I keep looking at the Chargers, and I shouldn't put my faith in the Chargers. I've covered that team for four years, like I mentioned on the top of the show. They're always having high expectations but always falling down in Jacksonville, falling down in Las Vegas. They just can't seem to get out of their own way, but they're talented. They're stacked, and maybe I was out there too many times in Costa Mesa watching Kellen Moore and Justin Herbert operate. They look pretty good, and I feel like eventually you've got to take the opportunity and take that division from the Chiefs, but I don't feel confident about it, but it kind of feels like, okay, there needs to be some type of change eventually. Yeah. Listen, they're to a point where, and the Chiefs I mean, they've won seven division titles in a row. The only team, I believe, that's ever won more division titles in a row are New England with Brady and Bell. At one point they won 11 in a row. I think the Rams in the 70s also won seven. Yeah, they've been to three Super Bowls out of the last four years, won two of them. You're right, at some point you would think there's just going to be a year where maybe they have some injuries or they step back. The one thing I will say with the Chargers here before I get into my pick, they are super talented. My concern with them is always the same two things, their coach and their injury history. They just get hurt every year and then Stanley does things that I just can't understand, although I do think Kellen Moore is a big upgrade over Lombardi and Herbert's fantastic. Hey, this is Paris. So, my seven playoff teams, so the same teams that we have, I'll give my division winners, we both have the Bengals and the Jaguars, so we were in lockstep there. I had the Dolphins winning the AFC, so basically all this ensures is that we're going to get a lot of hate mail from Buffalo. And I had the Chiefs winning the AFC West. I'm just a big, like, you've got to prove it to me. So the Chiefs have proven it so many years, I'm sticking with them. My wildcard teams, as you have, I have Buffalo, I have the Jets, you have them going in the division, I have them as a wildcard team. And instead of the Ravens, I'm going to go with Pittsburgh. I went back and forth on that, because that division I think is the best division in football. All those teams are solid, like, you could even make an argument for Cleveland if you want to, I just think Cleveland's in the wrong division. I just, man, I love the Steelers' defense and I love Tomlin. So my whole thing is, if Pickett's just decent, that team should win a lot of games. Now, I don't think they have the ceiling that Baltimore does. Baltimore, if it all comes together, I think is a team with a higher ceiling. I just wonder, you know, different offensive coordinators, is that a good thing, is that a bad thing? And then you have, like, Beckham, that could be great for them, that could be he plays five games. It's just, it's a weird, I feel like I know a little more of Pittsburgh, so I went there. And with the Chargers, they always ended up putting them in. I'm just wondering after last year, after that loss to Jacksonville, is there any kind of a hangover to that? You know, and then you have a lot of guys in that team that are getting a little bit older and you have a huge cap crunch coming up. I mean, Allen, Williams, Eckler, Mack, like, this could be the last year for all those guys here. So maybe that plays in their favor and there's an urgency and they play great. Or maybe if things start off rough, it becomes almost like, well, where are we going? So I had them at 10 and 7, but just losing a tiebreaker, they were the next team in for me. But yeah, I think the AFC is ridiculous. There's going to be two or three teams that aren't making the playoffs that are legitimately good football teams that just can't get in. Yeah, and you know, I guess with the Chargers, I am banking on that urgency for them to kind of do something. And to even add to your point, man, the GM's been around 11 years, man, and he has never won. Well, I think he won a division title, actually, no division title, no division titles, no AFC championship game appearances. He won like one or two playoff games with the Los Costa Jam. Yeah. And then the head coach, Brandon Staley, might be on the hottest hot seat right now. And you know, a lot of people want that job, too, because of Justin Herbert, so it puts a lot of pressure on Brandon Staley. So, you know, I'm going to say they're going to put it together for at least, you know, a good run. I don't I don't know how far they're going to go, but I think they might win a division. Will that be enough to keep everybody intact? I don't even know that that's going to be enough. So we'll see. I'll tell you what, man, if you're right, though, and the Chiefs, the Bills and the Ravens are wildcard teams, that is going to be an insane first weekend of play. You're going to have these teams at home, having Mahomes come in and Allen come in. And you covered the team, you know, better than me, like if the Chiefs go play the Chargers on the road in a playoff game, it's going to be Arrowhead Stadium out there. I mean, it's such a weird or if like the Bills go to Jacksonville, it's going to sound like Buffalo. I mean, it's just such that to me is everything with the Chargers. It's so hard. Every game's a road game for them. I mean, very rarely, you know, maybe once a blue one, they'll play some game like whatever. The other fan base is not large either, but it's just tough. They play the Cowboys at home this year. The place is going to be Jerry World. It's just, it's so, that's got to be so defeating. You have a big home game and you come out and there's 70,000 people rooting against you. I'll never forget covering the Super Bowl at SoFi and there were as many Bengals fans as there were Rams fans. You're like, how, how is that possible? I mean, since he's a tiny city in any event, it is weird. All right, so who, who's the team in the AFC that you think is not going to live up to the hype? That is a team that maybe is getting too much shine. And you're right about the whole LA being all over the place, man. I've lived there all my entire life and, and I even grew up a Vikings fan. I don't even know if I ever told our boss, John plume that, but I was a big Randy Moss fan because there was no LA team for three decades here. So that, that, that, that makes sense for why it's a, it's a very unique situation, a very unique town. And I'm sure Chargers are probably tired of talking about it. I used to ask all the time, Matt, so I could tell you about how I know they get with that. But as my my disappointment, right, that is a question here. I didn't, you know, for you, you know, you didn't have the chargers and that's surprising to me. But for me, it was the dolphins, you know, you have the winning division and the way I look at the dolphins is like, man, losing Jalen Ramsey is going to be tough. Like, you know, he's supposed to be this big piece that, that you got on the off season, you know, helping out with Xavier and Howard and they have a good defense. But Jalen Ramsey is supposed to be a big part of that defense and he won't be back until December. So that's a long time. What if you have a rough start there and you're already, you're already in the stack division, you're playing the Jets, the Bills and the Patriots twice a year. So why don't you fall behind there? And then I feel like every time I see a big fan, Joe defense, it's always year two. Year one is kind of a transition year and they don't really take off until year two. So if you don't have Jalen and that really kind of hinders, hinders your progression a year one. And then on offense, like it feels like, yeah, they got Jalen Watto and they have Tyreek Hill, but then it's kind of like, well, no tight end. And I get Mike McDaniel doesn't really like to feature a tight end. And then the three running backs, they're really fast, but is one of them really good? I can't figure that out. I know they have the rookie from Texas A &M who, you know, he can't really stay healthy. And then you have Jeff Wilson also going to be an IR. That's also concerning to me. And then two, can he stay healthy? So I think a lot of focus is on the big two there. And I'm not even sure I'm, you know, there might be the best to do on the NFL. Some people are higher in general water than, than I am. I still see some concerns there with drop balls here and there, but Tyreek Hill is amazing. Everybody knows that. So I feel like the dolphins are a little, even with Jalen Ramsey, maybe a little overrated for me. You know, it's fine. I pick them in the division because I like Fangio being the coordinator there and Ramsey I thought was a good get. Obviously he mentioned he's hurt most of the year. Of all the teams I picked to win the divisions in the AFC, they're definitely the team I'm the shakiest on because A, the division's good, B, all the things you just mentioned are fair. Like I don't know if Tua is going to play a full season. I mean, what happens, obviously nobody wants to see it, but God forbid if he gets hurt like week one, what if he gets a concussion? Like how long is he out for? Is he out for the year? Like I don't know, you know, I mean, it's a scary thing. So I do hear you. There's a lot of concerns. My team is Baltimore. I kind of laid out why, look, Odell Beckham's a great talent, but can he stay healthy? Rashad Bateman's a good talent, can he stay on the field? I believe in Lamar Jackson. I am curious though, if they ask him to throw the ball as often as Burrow has to throw it, Mahomes has to throw it, Allen has to throw it. Can they play that way and still have that element of being unique? Because I think the hardest thing to defend about them is how unique they are. And Jackson is such a freak, you know, with his arm, with his legs. Are they going to take that away a little bit because he's been hurt the last couple of years? I don't know. But I'll tell you the truth, my biggest fear with them is just defensively. I mean, you know, Marcus Peters is gone, Kaleis Campbell's gone, Jason Viera-Paul is gone, Justin Houston's gone. I mean, I'll tell you, I was doing a piece that was coming out next week for us where we're kind of looking at everybody's strengths and weaknesses, and you're on the NFC side of that, I got the AFC. I was looking at their pass rush. Who the hell is going to sack the quarterback? It's a problem. So in this conference, I just feel like, man, the AFC, if you can't get pressure, you better be able to score 30 plus because I don't hate stopping anybody. I think Baltimore is good. I just don't see them as like a Super Bowl contender, which I think is kind of where the hype has gone this year. So I love hardball as a coach. I think that they're always going to be a playoff contender. It's partially the defense, it's partially the new offensive coordinator, and it's partially being in a conference where they can win 10 games and still not make the playoffs. Yeah, you know, for me with the Ravens, I'm not going to defend them too hard because I feel like I could easily flip them with the Steelers. They're kind of even for me, but maybe just hearing you right now, Matt, you might have been higher. Lamar Jackson pushing that ball down the field, he's a good downfield passer. I know he hasn't stayed healthy the last two seasons, especially in the back of the schedule. That's brutal. For him to miss that playoff game against the Bengals a year ago, imagine he was playing, they might've won that game. But if you can't be reliable, he hasn't had the MVP year since 2019, which feels like a long time ago, but I just like that they're trying to bring that modern game of pushing the ball down the field and utilizing Lamar Jackson's strength as a passer. I think he gets overlooked in that area. But then we were just talking about Vic Fangio and how everybody's trying to counter the Vic Fangio inspired defenses by running the ball more and who runs the ball the best, the Baltimore Ravens. So maybe they're going away from it a little too early when it, yeah, so, and they were ahead of the, they were ahead of their time maybe with these defenses. And that's the way you counter them is by, you know, you know, doing the quick game and the running game, but sometimes it's good to be ahead of the curve. So who knows? Maybe now I'm going back, back and forth, now I'm going back to the Ravens because if people are all going to start doing the running game and do run heavy to counter these Vic Fangio defense, then maybe the Ravens have something brewing that could be special down the line. But again, I don't, I don't like, can I trust Rashad Bateman being healthy? Will Zay Flowers turn out to be a good first round pick? How about OBJ? Will you turn back the clock? So there's a lot of question marks where like eventually made it, they're going to be like, you know what? We tried it that way. Let's go back to all reliable and throw it to Mark Andrews, whatever, 10 times a game. Yeah. Yeah. Andrew, she's underrated. He's a fantastic tight end. Look, we're going to get nowhere surprises all leagues off. Be quick with this. I already told you. I think they're a playoffs team. Pittsburgh's my team. I kind of laid out why. I mean, I love Tomlin. I think Tomlin is a top three coach in the league with Andy Reed and Bill Belichick. Defensively man, like people don't even know how Alex Highsmith is got 14 and a half sacks last year. They have TJ Watt, they have Cam Hayward, they brought in Marcus Golden, who's a supplemental, like a good rotational pass rusher. They added Desmond King, who the Texans cut. It was one of the biggest surprise cuts of the day on Tuesday. They bring him in. They've got Joey Porter Jr., Patrick Peterson, Minka Fitzpatrick. That is, that's a damn good defense. They have guys. I mean, now the question, of course, is offensive line, how good is it? And can Pickett play? The one thing I can't stand is like false confidence. There are so many people in Pittsburgh, if you tweet out about the Steelers, or just, if you say anything bad about Kenny Pickett, or you question him in any way, the brigade comes out. It's just like, you don't understand the greatness of Kenny Pickett. It's like, I got to tell you, I watched every throw he made last year. He was a guy. He threw five touchdowns against seven picks. He spent five years in college, four of which, by the way, he was mediocre to atrocious, and then one year he was unbelievable as a senior. Fine. I obviously believe in them as a team. I think he's going to be better, but is he going to be more than a game manager? I don't know. I wouldn't go there. Now, look, he's got George Pickens, who I think you pretty much just wailed the ball downfield to him and let him go up and get it. I think the Steelers' weapons are good. Offensive lines are concerned. Pickets are concerned. I think Tomlin, who almost got duck Hodges to the playoffs years ago, can just massage it. Now, I will say, when they get to the playoffs that they do, I think a team like Cincinnati or Kansas City or Buffalo is going to put a number on them, but I think they're better than people think.

"You mentioned them actually a minute ago. The Steelers, I'm not a big preseason guy because I just think, look, nobody's game playing for these games and you're not scheming and there's a million there. You're not playing everybody. The Steelers have looked really good. And Kenny Pickett, he had a lot of experience at Pitt, gets drafted in the first round, only first round quarterback in his class. Last year was a struggle. He didn't start the year as a starter, which was expected. Trubisky started the year, gave way fairly early on. Pickett then throws a few more interceptions and he does touchdowns, played a little better as the year went on. But I'll tell you, I actually am a believer in the Steelers as an interesting team. Now I'm not, again, in that conference, I'm not picking them to be going to the Super Bowl. Okay, let's just be clear. But I really like George Pickens like everybody else in the ball. Deontay Johnson is a very nice number two to George Pickens number one. I think they're interesting. They got Isaac Samalu from the Eagles in free agency, playing a guard, kind of beefing up that offensive line. And then defensively, you look at them and like, you know what they are. They're beasts up front. Nobody knows. Like Highsmith last year, he had 14 and a half sacks. Nobody even talks about it. They got the extension this offseason, rightfully so. Of course T.J. Watts here. Cam Hayward is there. They draft Nick Herbig, who has looked fantastic here in the early going on the back end. They've got Mika Fitzpatrick, Joey Porter Jr. A lot of people thought he'd be a first round pick. He ends up going with the first pick in the second round. You factor in Mike Tomlin. Like if Pickett's even halfway decent, it's a pretty good team. It's a pretty interesting team. Yeah, they kind of gave me the Washington commanders vibes where they're very loaded and they're like, ah, that quarterback, we just don't know. And, you know, I think Pickett will be better than Sam Howell. I don't know about somehow like, you know, he has his moments and we'll find out. But he was a first round pick and can pick it was. And, you know, he won a bunch of games a year ago. I think he was seven and five as a as a starter. And I think for Mike Tomlin, that's all he wants. He doesn't care about the stats. He doesn't care about your eight dot or whatever it is, how many yards on first down, things like that. If you're winning freaking ballgames, you're going to play for the Steelers. And I think that's what he did a year ago because I was kind of scratching my head. And Matt, you started the job in February and March. And I was really focused, you know, on the West Coast team with the charges, charges in the Rams. And I started doing my research. I'm like, why are they why do people like that? Can you pick it so much? And Alex Highsmith, I was surprised to 14 sacks. I'm like, OK, it's got the ball or I should pay attention more. We pick him like he's averaging like six yards per per completion. Why isn't there any why isn't it competition for Kenny Pickett? I'm like, OK, he won a lot of games. And then you're seeing him pushing the ball down the field in the pre-season. Again, it's pre-season. You don't know this time of year. You don't really think about it. Just play football. You push the ball down the field and you get lucky sometimes. Maybe that's a good confidence booster. But if they're not pushing the ball down the field with Kenny Pickett, I can see him pulling the plug on the experiment in year two. But I think the Mike Tomlin mindset, he did earn the right to be the QB one for this year because he won seven games a year ago. But you're right. That team is loaded and you got a lot of weapons offensively. If you're not going to improve those numbers, eventually you got to move on. I think the Steelers right now, you took them in the first round last year. This is year two of the contract. Pickett, realistically, in my view, has this year for sure. And then he's got next year. It's kind of like the Mack Jones thing, right? Mack Jones is now in year three. If Mack Jones isn't good, New England's probably looking elsewhere or they're starting to seriously look elsewhere. With Pittsburgh, Pickett has this year. But then it becomes like, OK, if he doesn't play well this year, and let's even take it a step further. Let's say he doesn't play well this season, but they still managed to win nine games. Then it's like, well, think about what this team would be with a quarterback who could really play. I'm interested in Kenny Pickett. I really don't have an opinion on him yet one way or the other. By the way, one guy to denote, because I always, I don't know why, I just always kind of followed this with him. I think it's interesting. So Marcus Golden is now at the Steelers. He had played with the Cardinals his first four years, then the Giants two years, and back to the Cardinals two years. So here's the sack totals each of the last five seasons for Marcus Golden. Two and a half, 10, one and a half, 11, two and a half. Guess what, Pittsburgh? That means you're in line for like a 10 or 11 sack season, because every other year Marcus Golden's great, and then he just can't have a sack the following year. So they are going to put pressure on teams up front. You know they will do that. They can play on the back end. They brought in Patrick Peterson as well, who's not the all-pro that he was in Arizona, but still a competent corner. I really like them. Again, to your point, I don't know that Pickett can elevate with that roster. If he can, I could even see them staying around in the hunt for the division. I just don't know that he can do it. I think Pickett definitely has this year or next year, but then it becomes like, okay, then you got to start talking about 50 options. Did they pick that up? Well, that's a long way down the road. Right now, though, Kenny Pickett's in a good spot. He's in a good situation. Great coach, ton of talent, talent you can grow with because it's young. This is an important moment for Pickett and his young development. I think that he has all that he could ever ask for around him, and yeah, it's a really tough division, but the Steelers are as talented, in my opinion, as Baltimore is. Except, of course, at the very, very important position of quarterback, but in terms of the rest of the 52, they're as talented. I think they're more talented than Cleveland, even if you want to factor in the quarterbacks. The Bengals are the team that, of course, you'll look at and go, okay, well, can you beat them out? I don't think so, but I think Pittsburgh's good. I think Pittsburgh's one of those underrated teams you were talking about earlier when you're looking for one of those five teams. Pittsburgh's one of mine. I think Pittsburgh's going to be much better than people think. Yeah, and we're going out for trends here. Mike Tomlin, they're guaranteed nine wins, right? Winning record every single year that he's been coaching, so Kenny Pickett gets that extra two wins, 11 wins there. They'll get into the playoffs, but even if you look at the AFC North, can they even be better than the Browns, the Ravens, the Bengals? I am very intrigued about the Browns. I don't know what Deshaun Watson we're going to get. Obviously, he's going through a bunch of things in his head, what's been going on the last couple of years. He admitted this, that he's lacking confidence, that he got it back this offseason. We'll see. We'll find out, but if you're the Steelers, can you even beat the Browns and the teams here in the division to make it a wildcard team? I don't know if you want to end here or what else we got planned, Matt, but the Browns, I just don't know about them. They're loaded. Miles Garrett, Nick Chubb, a lot of good talent on that team, but I just don't know if I'm going to buy in. Yeah, you know what? I visited the Browns. I will tell you, we stood outside for two hours and watched them practice in a driving rainstorm, which was quite pleasant. Deshaun Watson that day was bad. He struggled. He struggled. Now, again, it was in a driving rainstorm, so that also has to be factored in there, but I don't know. I think the Browns are going to be fine. I think they're going to be right around .500. Eight to nine wins. That's where they are. Wouldn't be shocked if they win seven, but Pittsburgh doesn't treat me, but in any event, yeah, we'll wrap here as we're approaching the hour mark. Most of us start with the number of years, but as I've started to discover on this season of the podcast, that doesn't really tell the whole story. I guess there's no denying that our bodies do go through some changes, but aging is not linear. "A field goal and the refs just like, oh, 15 year old penny, I can't renew her. And they get the extra four points. And it just seems like that kind of shit happens with the ravens all the time. Yeah. They need the field goal hits the upright. Always against them. Right, right, right. Yeah, it's just Tucker hot today or is he not? Is he going to get a kick block? Like I think in the last 6 games, if it's scored 20 points once. And I know it's because Lamar's out, but how great is he going to be? Coming back for this first week. I think that would be that great. I might be a teaser game. You know, there's a penalty today that made me think of the rule I was one of them to have. Did you see Fred Warner's face mask on hunter renfrow? No, I missed them. In the niners raiders game. It was one of those where he grabbed the thing and Renfro's had like the exorcist head. It did like the one 80, and he not only stopped his progress, but he got flung backwards the other way. It was like the worst face mask of the year. And it was 15 yards. It was the same penalty as the cam Hayward play. And it made me think, I said this every year. I think the unnecessary roughness they should be able to go more than 15 yards. This was like a 40 yard face mask. Yeah. This should have been like, we're waving the 15. It's gonna be first down raiders of the ten. We're just, that's the worst thing we've seen all year. Well, in college, you know, they review it all now. They look for they look for targeting and the helmet. We're gonna throw you out of the next game. We're gonna notify your parents as all, let me get things. What happened in the semifinal on that targeting call when they reviewed it and they decided it wasn't targeted. They said, no, the one that ended the game? Yeah. What was that? If that's not targeting, what's targeting? It's absolutely the rule that would just like the refs. The refs went to go home. They're like, well, we're not ending this game like this. We're too precious. That's stupid. All right, Bengals -6 over the ravens. Next one is chiefs at the Raiders, which we did. And then the last one for AFC sitting on the line is chargers at Denver. Yeah. Chargers get a 5 seed if they win. I have the charger's favorite in Denver. By 8. Oh, wow. I thought I was off. I went plus one and a half. It's plus three and a

"This is grainy with Mike Greenberg on ESPN radio, the ESPN app, and on ESPN+. 18 years and one last NFL wish was granted. This is greeny on ESPN radio ESPN+ the ESPN app and on your smart speaker, I am amber Wilson, he's Joe fortenbaugh we are, of course, filling in for Mike Greenberg, we're presented by Progressive Insurance with all guests appearing via the Goodyear hotline. 18 years and then the Steelers go on a Monday night, they deliver Big Ben, his greatest wish with a 26 14 victory against the Cleveland Browns, be a part of greeny nation on the Dr Pepper call in line, ESPN nation is presented by Dr Pepper, college football, bowl season is here and fans are hyped to return to glory with fans built by Dr Pepper, the one that fans deserve. So early in the pre game warm ups, we did Joe get the tribute video from art Rooney to Big Ben thanking him, of course, for his 18 years, but beyond that, I mean, there wasn't a ton of pomp and circumstance, probably how Ben Roethlisberger wanted it, frankly, because he kind of treated the whole thing like a normal game for him. He went through his normal pregame routine as far as when he shows up to the stadium, the things that he does. I did think it was cool for that coin toss. Normally he'd be flanked by the other captains of the team when they're walking out there for the coin toss, of course, and cam Hayward and Derek watt. They decided to hang back. And they didn't tell Ben that they were going to do that. So it ends up that Big Ben is out there by himself for the coin toss. He gets that moment. There was a couple other moments after he takes the knee and the victory formation. He ends up hanging around after the postgame for another 12 minutes going around thanking the fans. There was a lot of chance from the 64,000 fans throughout the entire game. So a special moment for him, he was emotional visibly emotional at the end of the game, Joe. And it's time for straight talk, brought to you by straight talk wireless. So that's a wrap, at least in Heinz for Big Ben. We obviously will see him get one more opportunity here to make the playoffs and then they're gonna need a little help from the cult to lose to the Jags in order for the Steelers to get. And this is probably the last time this is one of the last two games, probably four Ben Roethlisberger's career, their playoff chances, I think, are at like 8% right now for that steelers team. What do you make of Big Ben's legacy? Big Ben's legacy is the dream that every front office, every owner, every coaching staff has when they pull the trigger on a quarterback in the first round of the NFL Draft. And that's long-term stability. A lot of people can say a lot of different things about Roethlisberger's career, but it all boils down to long-term stability. 18 seasons. During which time he started 200 and 46 of a possible 200 and 88 regular season games. That is 85% that shows you consistency, reliability, and durability. During that time, he went 164 81 and won. He won 66% of his games. Went to three super bowls, one, two of them. All right? It's easy to look now by suffering from recency bias and say, well, the last couple years, you know, they could have done better. Anybody, anybody would take the last couple of years if they knew what they were going to get for the first 16. Just three years ago, this guy threw for 5100 yards and 34 touchdowns with that offense. Roethlisberger is exactly what you want. It's the dream every front office has when they pull the trigger on a quarterback number one overall. And what I mean by number one overall is your first pick that year, the first round of the NFL draft because if you talk to the browns, the ravens right now because they've got injury issues. You asked Miami where you're located, the jets, Washington, Chicago, Jacksonville, the list goes on and on amber. Those teams have been searching for consistent stability at the quarterback position for decades. Decades and Pittsburgh has had that. So you can say what you want about how it's ending, but put the totality of the circumstances in front of you. His legacy is long-term stability at the position, which is what everybody dreams of. It's funny because you and I had the conversation yesterday about when it's too soon to move on from quarterbacks. And I believe we were talking about it in the context of to a tug of aloa, but you were pretty adamant that these quarterbacks probably deserve a bit more time. It shows with the Steelers how if you can Garner that stability at that position. How well that serves your organization. And frankly, we can talk about that because we also are going to have those conversation moving forward about head coaches in the NFL and spots opening up and we can say the same thing for that head coaching position as well for that steel I think is a very good word to describe Ben Roethlisberger's legacy, at least in terms of football. I mean, there's some complications there when we talk about his legacy, obviously multiple accusations of sexual assault. We all remember the motorcycle accident. I mean, he did serve a 6 game suspension. I think back in what was it 2011? I mean, he's had some troubles during his NFL career, but certainly on the field and for that steelers organization. Stability has been the name of the game. He becomes, he was the youngest Super Bowl winning quarterback, I believe, to do it when he got that first Super Bowl win back in 2006. So you mentioned the first pick and you said the first pick for that organization. Of course, he was the 11th pick in that 2004 draft. Something that he salty about. That might have gone differently, maybe if he had stayed for his final year there at Miami of Ohio university, but nevertheless, it ends up that big working out very, very well for that steelers organization. That draft is an interesting one. I'm sure we'll talk about that at some point on today's show. Straight talk wireless, no contract, no compromise. So the end of an era for Pittsburgh and by the way, Joe, because I mentioned it yesterday. For some reason, we weren't getting the definitive, like I'm absolutely done from Ben Roethlisberger and maybe he just doesn't want to distract from the actual games that they're trying to win because that team still could make the playoffs so they obviously are trying to win out here. They still have something to play for. It was very obvious the browns were not in the same position last night. They did not have anything to play for, but the Steelers did beyond just Ben Roethlisberger's farewell. Although it was kind of funny to me because he never definitively said that he was done, but then we still got, you know, like the video tribute, the chance, everyone's very much acting like we're done. I know the interview at the end and the post with Lisa salter. She, she's very definitive about the fact that he's done it. And he recognized it after the game there and you saw the tears in his eyes. Here was Big Ben on the postgame with Lisa salters. You know, I didn't think I was gonna take the field again, but it's the best playing football when you're an offensive player is to take a knee. And so I'm glad I got

Teams are massive mistakes. These games will blow out. They're not competitive. Now, if you have other games, maybe you're four or 5 match up and you get more competitive games. I would never go more than 8. I would go to 8, but I would put a rider in there that you do not guarantee the PAC 12 a spot 'cause I believe they're zero 5 in bowl games. Neither semifinal matchup on New Year's Eve turned out to be all that close Nick Saban though says, that's not his concern. I don't necessarily agree with your assessment of our game. I can't speak to the other game, but it was a really hard fought game for us, and we have a tremendous amount of respect for the team that we played. I don't know that expanding. If this is the best four teams and they played each other, I don't see the logic, and if we had more teams, there would be better games. I don't know how that adds up. But I really not in position to answer that. You know, there's a lot of other good teams that whether it was their consistency and performance or whatever happened to them and championship games or whatever that may have had the opportunity to get in the playoffs that didn't. But look, I'm not the one that needs to be deciding what the playoff needs to be. There's a lot of good people out there that can make a decision as to what's best for college football. But the more we expand the playoffs, the more we minimize bubble games, the importance of bowl games, which, you know, I said when we went to four, so I don't think that's changed. "Really good quote endorsing Mitchell trubisky as a steeler said sealer's starting quarterback. Here is what I'm going to read to the full quote on the Berg news. Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mitchell to basically received a big endorsement from his teammate and defensive lineman Cameron Hayward in his bid to be the teams to be the team's starting quarterback in 2022. Here's what cam Edwards said. It starts with Mitch. Mitch, we brought him in in free agency. The thing is we have to remember about Mitch is he's coming from a situation in Chicago where they didn't really give him anything. And he still made it to the playoffs. Everything people like to say, you know, Mitch did this wrong. Mitch did that wrong man. Mitch did a lot of things right. Hopefully we have a better team around him and we're going to support him. Right now he's our number one quarterback. So cam Hayward supported Mitchell trubisky as the Steelers starting quarterback. And I, you know, I think in an NFL locker room, guys really, really respect a veteran quarterback. Somebody's been there before. And someone who has experience that they feel like they can trust. So I think there's no hurry for can you pick it to be the starting quarterback in Pittsburgh. I would make him earn it if I was the Steelers. I think if it's close, I probably would go with Kenny Pickett, but there's a complication there, which is that if it's close but trubisky is actually better, you might have to go with a better quarterback trubisky because if you don't, you're going to lose the other players in the locker room who are trying to win and fighting for their lives and trying to, you know, it's the worst thing you can do is play a quarterback that the locker room isn't behind. And if the locker room is behind Mitchell trubisky and he released a better guy, then that's who you got to play early on in the season until Kenny Pickett is eventually ready. All right, we got two topics left today. It's been a long show, kind of a, I don't know. How have you liked it? I've been having a good time. For some reason, this one, like I said, this episode more than any other.

"Just super weird. The defense is it really is just TJ watt and cam Hayward and then, you know, make it Fitzpatrick, and then it's just like, gosh, I mean, they couldn't stop the run, Jerry McKinnon looked like, I don't know. I don't know what the comp is at this point. He looked like a really good running back. You look like you look like Barry Sanders or something out there in this game. I don't know, man. This was just not a game that should have been staged. Yeah, I think that there are times I've referenced this before, but you like wet hot American summer, right? I like it, yeah, not a super fan, but I like it. Okay. I would classify myself as a super fan. The scene over the campers are playing kickball from the other place. And they just get off the bus and then they decide that it would be trite to play the game. That's what should have happened today. That's like, I think I've referenced this on the show before, but this tailor should have gotten there and Mike Tomlin just should have said, yeah, you know, let's just feels it's just feels a little forced, you know? I mean, you guys can do whatever you want here and then we're just gonna hightail it on out there. Good motivational speech from him though I would say told his players before the game. We're not blinking. I guess meaning like we're not going to be afraid, and he said, if you're a blinker, cut your eyelids off. Oh man. Yeah. All right. Nice. That's the idea of, you know, it's going beyond Dan Campbell. Yeah, that's some kind of self mutilation at this point. If you did cut your eyelids off, what would happen? You need to blink, right? Yeah. Right? It needs to happen. I feel like we're gonna get really weird emails over this. Rightfully so. We brought it up. There's like there's like a really niche optometrist that deals in eyelid removal and he's just like, and he just slams the table and he's like, thank God, something to email this podcast about. "That's the weird thing about the four dinners, they're not the ravens, but if they get up ten points, that game is over. Yeah. And it's just you're not gonna be able to get the ball enough to be able to come back on them. All right, the Sunday Night game, the Steelers go back to Kansas City. It's postseason football. Why is this the Sunday Night game? 'cause it's maybe more farewells for Ben Roethlisberger. I don't know. This is the least watchable matchup of the weekend. Who knows, maybe it'll be interesting. There are two paths to victory here for the ceiling. One is TJ watt just destroys this game in a way that, frankly, we haven't seen anyone destroy a game. And, you know, you could look back to last year's Super Bowl and say, oh, you know, it's happened to the chiefs, but look, that was sort of a full online collapsing. It's a team that sort of had guys all over the place that get to you. This has to be like TJ watt and maybe cam Hayward just absolutely wrecking this game and just unfathomable ways. And the other way is do you get like a punt block return TD and do you get like Daryl Williams fumble and you scoop it up and score or something like that. It's just the fluke stuff has to pile up and you know it can happen. We've seen it happen to the chiefs. You feel like the chiefs have probably exhausted the weird fluky turnovers that they had in their pocket early in the year. Yeah. I got that visual when you said TJ watt of TJ watt coming out and wrecking the game like it would need to be almost like he comes out and like grabs Patrick Mahomes and just throws him out of the stadium like and he like travels so far that he just goes out of the state of Missouri and it takes too long for them to bring them back. They were like, well, we're not stopping the game like someone's got to go get them and bring them back. It would be something that, yeah, something that would resemble like the Terry Crews, old spice commercials that Tim and Eric directed. It's got to be something like that. It will be an interesting, I remember talking about this a lot after the Super Bowl last year. Chiefs are one of the fewest 13 double tight end teams in the NFL last year. And I think that came back to bite them in the Super Bowl because they had no other option to keep guys in to stay in chip for Patrick Mahomes when things were getting dicey. Like they were kind of using like, I think I remember like Nicole Hardman staying back there to try to like clip people and it just wasn't working. They've had to experiment with other tight ends this year because Travis Kelce being hurt and they've kind of rolled X through some of that stuff they have some better blocking tight ends on the roster..

"But Fitzpatrick is a guy who gets him organized on the back end, and that is a play where, you know, if he doesn't intercept it, it is probably just to throw that's not available, or at least it's a it's a contested type of play instead of that. But you know, just this steelers team, the way that you win games, they do not want to have score 27 points in the fourth quarter in order to be in a game. Stylistically, this is not how they want to play. This is not a game they probably should have one when it's all said and done, but the opportunity was there. Yeah, it is really hard to imagine that that play would have gone the same way with minka Fitzpatrick in the lineup. But that being said, the fact that they were able to muster the performance that they did until the very end that they had a chance to win this game. I mean, do you take something from that? It certainly was better than a week earlier where you have a very unsatisfying tie. Okay, a week later, you're quarterbacks coming off COVID. Like I said, you're missing three ver top defenders. Is this a galvanizing almost win or is it so such a disappointing loss because you almost had it that it ends up kind of undercutting morale? It's hard to say. And I guess that's up to Mike Tomlin's messaging in part. Yeah. I just want to point out real quick. I think the kneel downs brought the Chargers back under 8 yards per play in this game. I mean, you just look at the number, and this is 533 yards of offense for the Chargers, 300 for the Steelers. It was a fairly lopsided game outside of those two really game altering plays that they got. Yeah, I mean, and to Jenny's point like, I loved the juxtaposition between all these stoic shots of cam Hayward after the batted down pass, and it was just like those slow motion like warrior poses where he's just like, you know, like, the stele guy poses, but like, really, Justin Herbert just fired the ball off his head. Like there really wasn't like, you know, and you jumped a little bit. And I'm not discounting the fact that you're an amazing player. You know what, and he's an incredible player, and his role in that fourth down stop later on was critical. He's a great player. But in that very moment, the ball just got rocked off your helmet. And so, you know, I thought that was kind of a funny thing. One thing I did wonder about speaking of the team being shorthanded is after they make the fourth down stop of the Chargers, get the ball back in chargers territory with a couple minutes to go, the game tide. If they had nausea Harris and that at that situation, would they have been able to get the first down? Harris was in the locker room getting evaluated for concussion, which is where he should have been. Glad that they took that evaluation seriously, but I just couldn't help but wonder, Harris is then later cleared to return to the game. And I remember thinking when they were lining up on the third down, they originally didn't have a back end and they took a timeout and they came out with a back that wasn't Harris, and I just was thinking to myself. I wonder how much of a difference Harris would have made in that situation. Yeah, that was three and out there..

"Was a wild one here. Shorthanded sealers team ends up falling 41 37 to the Chargers out in LA. And we're going to talk about the ravens a little bit later. And they're kind of method of winning games. But the Steelers are a little bit similar. And this one really felt like in the fourth quarter, it was going to be one of those games for the sealer's kind of had no right winning, but they just. End up winning. They wherever they get a block pun. They get a tipped interception. That's just what the Steelers do. Yeah, I was pretty impressive that despite trailing by 17 points at one point in the game, they quickly made it interesting through a few of those plays that you described Gary. The defense was out a lot of star players Ben Roethlisberger was coming off of COVID, but they found ways to create when they could on the blocked punt. That was three rushers coming forward, one of whom hit the ball. They had the cam Hayward sort of head butts of a batted pass. I didn't realize until the replay that I actually went off of this helmet, which turned into an interception. So it was they needed like I flurry of activity in order to get back in the game and they were able to summon that, which was pretty impressive. All that being said, though, it ended up being like a very unsatisfying ending because they had done so much to get back in the game and then at one point it looked like they were going to win the game and they get the ball back after the Chargers go for it on fourth down and can't convert the Steelers get the ball back, but can't make a first down, kick the field goal and then there's a busted coverage and the Chargers score the game winning touchdown. Really interesting thing about that busted covers, right? So that was Norwood, right? Who's filling in for minka Fitzpatrick? And I would venture to say that if it's Patrick, is in on that play, he probably picks that off, right? Because if you look at how the route developed, Justin Herbert throws it as soon as it's clear that the safety is not coming down to compensate for the cornerback passing them off. But what's interesting is I think the other thing that make a Fitzpatrick noses, Mike Williams runs more go routes than any receiver in the NFL. Actually, since 2020 has run 30 more go routes than any receiver in the NFL. So what do you think he's doing in that situation? Largely. I mean, you know, they didn't deviate from the plan. You kind of figure what was going on there. And for me, you know, I know the Steelers were playing down a couple guys and, you know, certainly your most vital players, but it's interesting that that's the kind of situation you sort of found yourself in. You're putting a lot on a safety who's filling in for arguably the headiest defensive player in the NFL and the secondary. I don't know, it's just a kind of an interesting smattering of events there. Yeah, and obviously, look, no TJ watt. That's a huge impact player to be missing..

Behind the Steel Curtain

"Because he's being chased he doesn't wanna take a big hit. Cameras sutton happened to be two steps. Closer to that quarterback devin bush or bud duprey were so who gets the sack cameron site and didn't even touch the guy right. Those were his. That was his tackle for a loss and a sack in twenty twenty twenty twenty one in game one. He has to legitimate tackles for loss already so just much better. He he is. He has worked on being outside corner. He's prepped for it and he showed that that showed up. Yeah he gave up some receptions very little yards after the catch and just played really. Well he was beaten for a touchdown the man he was encouraged on that down a little bit slow. Great throw though. I mean that's one of those plays where you just throw beat good coverage he was in really good coverage the throw is just better. I honestly i'm going to say. I think cameras just played the best game of his. Nfl career to this point. I mean that. Because i think he's the hardest role he's had to play and he was really good so for me. Cameras sutton great rate game. We've onto james pierre. James pierre was not coming on nickel plays like they thought they might you do instead. James pierre came in on dime snaps. So cameron sutton in the nickel was outside. The kept cameron sutton outside. They put traynor would in the slot for nickel in dime. James pierre came in for one of the linebackers he played outside and sutton slid right back in to the diamondback role that he has played so well for the last three four years. Pierre was solid again not great. You don't need greatness from your number. Four cornerback right outside of one incredible. Pass up he had in the fourth quarter they kind of bit of a blown coverage and you see james pure comment and just you know tomahawk chop the ball right out of the receivers hands and it was a cool play. But it's it's even better when you look at what happened after that. And this is one of those butterfly effect place of course. The butterfly effect is the theory that like a butterfly flaps his wings over here and a soon nami happens because a chain of events occurs right james pierre on second and six knocks the ball out of a receivers hands comes in bloom. Covers receivers wide open jane spear hustles over bam knocks the ball out pass broken up its third and six on third and six cam hayward sacks josh now fourth and twelve on that fourth and twelve play miles killebrew bursts through blocks the pie and the steelers score a touchdown if james pierre doesn't recognize that there's a bride receiver wide open on that play about to catch the ball. It doesn't make it there and knock that ball down the bills convert on second six instead of third and six and a hayward sack you have a first and ten very different drive and quite possibly a different result in the final score. So that's one of those moments. I'd like to pick out where people are like. Oh you know this play was super important. Sometimes there's plays that someone makes like that it's just a hustle play just a just a catch up play. That has a bigger impact than just. Hey you know that's the now. Go to thirty six one..

"He gets out because when he got two guys. That's from steelers. Tj what marketing and then he got cam hayward right up to gut picking people up doing ten quarterback pressures a great deal line is impossible to fucking stop especially with modern offense right now. There's some teams. I think we don't like to overreact on every action. But if your team has a line i think you should be very excited. Like okay the nfl. What is turning into fifty. Eight passes for some quarterbacks fifty seven for other quarterbacks fifty some for other quarterbacks feels like it's becoming a rather pass-happy league even more so than it already was before because the new you know spread and move and run the space you can use. The offenses in rules was calling for more passes. You'd be a four not to throw the ball more option and they even have an extension of the run game is another passenger. If you have a disrupting defensive line. I think it was very apparent yesterday. If you don't you gotta be feeling very good. That's why the cardinals over there. The rams also got to seattle seahawks buchan did so much damage to the colts. I guess that's just standard over there in the nfc west. But i think that's one of the first indicators. We should be looking at. Who's gonna make run. Who's gonna freak nasty defense on that play where they met each other romo and is only good moment of the game pointed out that sets up like thirteen yards deep on third down and they just basically met at that point. Yeah and by the way he sets up at that point because he is video game he literally runs backwards full speed who examples and had one. Yes yeah he was spinning backwards. Full speed and i saw his combine throw that he made off and it was just a screen pass but he was running backwards. Full speed side on around the guy and it was just like on a rope. It's like all that's armed. Talented people talk about like. Hey this dude is live like us alive arm. That whole patrick mahomes. I'm going to run thirty yards backwards. Throw the ball seventy yards forward to pick up a thirty five yard. It's fucking unbelievable. Know how you stop it because if he can get away for long. Enough tire kill was fastest student league. Okay scotty miller got says. I've got something to say about that. But i think at this point is very well known. The tyreek hill is one of the fastest woman. Ever walked this earth. I think you got travis kelsey who also probably has a backer on him and anytime if he can delay for long that's why they no wonder if they even say okay. Here we go. Hey let's play that style where Issues who gives a fuck backyard you got it and then pat stiff stiff. Arming people in the chest. While holding the ball and throwing it. And i'm like why doesn't every other quarterback do this. Why does real quarterback do this. It's like because. Patrick mahomes is an alien patrick. Mahomes as an absolute alien. It seems like it's a rigged game almost when he's out there especially with the weapons he has in the andy redraw they look like. They're fucking unbelievable. But if you've got a great defensive line we could see a taken fees. They can become problem for anybody. Including might that brown's team. It's like the colts teams. They get up early and then they force the other team to have to throw the ball you know for the next three quarters they geared. Cloudy can go and eat like they did yesterday. That was exactly what Basically bill was doing though pulling built the offense. We're going to build this for lead. And then what do we need on defense. Okay so we need to pass rushers. We need a safety. That can tackle in the boxing and fly around. Because there's gonna be a lot of balls coming out there and then you know we want a lot of games. Spending money gets hurt. There's not a lot of depth because you're very top-heavy whatever can't thank you enough for allowing us be a part of your day to day honestly legitimately incredibly thankful for it if you hate. "Some of those concerns. Yes because you got i you got to. You got to be able to jam the guy if you're gonna jam and he can just turns out you can just run away from a cornerback. Yeah so he's fast enough to play in the nfl. Even though he's what like one hundred seventy pounds. Yeah he's He's a skinny guy put. He's very very good Okay the fox are gonna be really bad. It's going to be very sad. I i said that a couple weeks ago. I had a couple of people be like. Oh we're going to be up. I think they're gonna be really really bad. Yeah alright steelers bills So happens to be. Tj wa actually is very very good and they should have paid all that money because he was fucking awesome. We also didn't talk about it because it was breaking news the end of last thursday. Show adam. Schefter writing a tweet. That was just t. J. watt writing the tweet. It read steelers outside linebacker. Tj overruled his agents. Who believe they could get more money today. Marched into the office of steelers president art rooney and told him they had a deal. Then the nfl's new highest paid defensive player excused himself and announced he had to go to work. You had to go work out go workout. Yeah he had to go work out. That'll show also work. You know what. Keep your money. I need to get in the gym. This is close to schefter just being like t. J. watt signed a new contract then. He went and rescued a kitten from a tree and an old lady who is tied to a a railtrack as as has certainly villa train came. Barreling down yeah. Oh and then. He don't eat it all his money and oh he he then went and fixed my car. Thank you tj wa. Yeah tj watt. Got a record amount of money for defensive player who has also donated one of his kidneys each year to a needy alcoholic child or are our schefter and tj. What they have the same agent. I would assume. Can you find that for me. I don't know. But i feel i would assume this was written by teaching. This i actually think is by. Jj watt jj's fingerprints all over it. Yeah it's crazy know what. Tj what is getting dangerously close to getting it too much because announcers are always like this guy tj. What he gets it he gets it. He understands what it means to be a pro. He gets it. Tj gets it too much with this whole like like declaring to the ownership Done signing my multimillion dollar. Because i have to go to the gym guys. I'm sorry that i have to do this paperwork. But i really gotta go Squat yeah hey please all right. So the steelers defense is awesome. That was a big time. Like oh yeah. They fell off last year things happen. They got injuries it sputtered out. But faulk. they're really good at defense. And cam hayward needs a lot of credit. Because i feel like. He's the unsung guy where we talk about. J. watt a lot but cam hayward is just he just eats up space And they so the big thing with the steelers like they just don't have to blitz they get pressure with with four guys and they dominated the bills today. Defensively there was one really weird. Play the fourth and one play that. The bills ran from the steelers. Forty yard line. Where josh allen dropback he turned around and then he threw it overhand. We talked about josh on pressing all the buttons. When he's getting sack. This was actually doing and matt and all the time. When you accidentally threw a lateral with your quarterback scrimmage and you just throw it as hard as you can to the guy that's directly behind you. Yes that's what. The play call was for josh allen to like through a fucking dart to the running back staying right on. Who of course gets tackled for a loss in the backfield down so weird. That was very strange. It was very strange. The the blocked punt this is he just loved when You know coach. Who says you know. It's it's a third of the game you have thirty. Yeah special teams but it actually did basically swingley entire game and the steelers just the other defense suffocated the bills. And i'm not worried about the bills. I do think we should stop as a country. We should do the bills favor. Stop pumping them up. So that the expectations. Because i was i was pumped for the bills knows excited for the bills but yeah i think we should just leave the bills alone for a little bit. It's a long season. Let's let josh allen. Do his thing. Then we can revisit. But yeah the steelers and big ben. I do think he's lost too much weight. He got rag doll by jordan. Who is like one hundred pounds lighter. So put it back on big ben but i think is big ben in his. Let me ask you. This is big ben in his Playmaker phase where he can just not be good not throw deep for three quarters if he can just make a few big throws which he did in the fourth quarter they win a game ben definitely and just keep it close. Yeah and then. Ben will win the game for a couple all you have to do. Yeah big ben will make some throws recounts. i agree. I think he looks. It's weird seeing big ben that light because at least when he's fat he's got an excuse of why he so slow right and now it's just like well. He's slow and he's skinny. Something's gotta give right soup. Trust me. I think by halloween. He'll do when's his birthday. I know he needs he. Needs wants big. Ben's burns have another kid so we can put on have an excuse to put on the sympathy. Wait listen. i'm eating in sympathy for my wife. Right now gimme big. Ben's birthday jake. Big wins it. Big men's birthdays anytime in the next three three months. We'll get back to big big ben I i think the steelers gorge second march. Well it's almost what half birthday half probably had just passed sundays ago. Oh okay curses. Thanksgiving about winners. Kids birthdays because hill after cake. The cake yeah the. I do think back canada. Who's their new offense coordinator. We'll figure out a way to kind of open up this Steelers offense but it was weird watching the game and it basically was going back to the beginning of last year whereas like the steelers can't really do anything. Offensively can't really run the ball. They ran the ball a little bit better but they play unbelievable. Defense and big ben makes enough plays and it really was like. I don't think josh. Allen wasn't great but it was just the defense was up his ass the entire game. It is very weird seeing emmanuel sanders. Who yes he is a bill. Yup i think he's wearing number one now. Yeah really strange..

Behind the Steel Curtain

"Look at some other defensive lineman the person's really on another planet his aaron donald is it six point five three which is crazy that that means that you know every six and a half past rushes. He's either getting a hurry. A hit or a sack so that that's pretty neat but cam hayward's numbers are right there. He's number twenty. Twenty lake chris. Jones was was eight point. Two seven remember edwards last year was eight point one six And that was career christiane in his career and the career for vida es at eight point nine five. The career for force buckner is nine point. Nine six. and then fletcher cox's careers was number is on nine point seven. Although he was over ten last year just for the season. But i just thought that was an interesting stat of that is how often does it take to get to the quarterback so i kind of made that up a little bit just kind of roll with it And i plan on kind of tracking that a little bit now that now that i have the data available to say okay. How often was. Were these pass. Rushers weather in tier defensive lineman or addresses how. How often were. They getting to the quarterback in some way because saks are great and i talked about sex the first half in the steelers getting three sacks or more would really be beneficial against this bill team but you know what the big thing is is even if you're not getting home all the time you've got to do pressure you've got to have the quarterback under pressure and uncomfortable is what you really want to see so with that. I just really excited about this. The steelers game. I'm excited to see. Tj watt practice on wednesday. That was the day. I said that it's gonna dax them the make or break day if he doesn't come back to practice wednesday then he's not gonna play in week one and i had a feeling he would. I thought there was a chance. He could've practiced on monday being a bonus day just because it was the week of love but he didn't and i thought that was more of a fifty fifty this. This was the one that was the pure indication of whether or not he was going to going to be able to play in week one. So we don't know how many snaps he's gonna get but what's important is. Has that pr that whole pass russia's per pressure you know you. Can you make the most of your snaps of of what you're getting there. So that's exciting. I the steelers offense. I don't know what to expect. I really don't. I hope it's all comes together. I hope we could see numbers. I'd love to see an increased rushing attack more efficient with the rushing but more important they gotta move the ball and got to put points on the board they do and i although it's a lot to say the offense. I'm still thinking that this game is gonna come down to the steelers defense and how well they can stop buffalo and if they can have everything figured out in that respect so those are some numbers remember. The steelers are six and a half point underdogs. Okay so that's Although you have to admit the the biggest point spread they've ever had. This is since i think. Since what seventy eight or something. I can look back to see. The point spreads that the steelers the biggest one was actually in two thousand four when at the end of the the the final week of the season one when ben sat actually solve a game before it was my first dealer game when they beat the ravens and nine point underdogs because of who was sitting out and they still be buffalo in buffalo. And so so. It's not like a while. Big big dud doesn't matter and week one is always so tough to figure out the right spreads. Could you really don't know what to expect with these teams. So there's there's that brought up to my brother and he got mad at me but the steelers in playing primetime recently. If you look back at steelers bills games plan at one o'clock it doesn't matter if they're in pittsburgh or buffalo to last time the steelers lost the one. Pm game to buffalo was in one thousand nine hundred nine so now granted. There was a lot of bills teams. That weren't very good but it's just it's just data. I'm just giving you data. That's all. I'm doing so you know what i've given you enough data for the for tonight. Make sure you are tonight for this morning Make sure you are checking out all the podcasts. We've got some really good ones. Behind the Steel Curtain

"Here. Because it's just more more more geeky totally nerd it out in the first part of part one talking about the firecracker and comparing what the preseason really is to the regular season but maybe i should have just said i geeked out but that was really nerdy. I don't. I don't know that i keep called geeky or if i could even tell you the difference between the two but this is something i was kinda proud of it and it might be something that other people have used. But i've never seen before. And i just figured it out myself. And that is that geoffrey bennington. I did a vertex article leading into the season about steelers defensive. Captain cameron heyward and jeffrey actually brought to my attention. I'm like oh that's good stuff. Let me see if i dive into it. And that is cam hayward had a big drop off in sacks last year he only had officially four now. If you look on pro football focus they ever molested his five because they count have sachs's full sacks on in each game so it kinda messes it up a little bit. I explained that an article but it was the first time it wasn't double digits in you. Know he had double. Digits acts the previous three seasons so to to fall off like that. You're like oh man what happened. But here's what here's what's interesting. And this was just such a great point by by jeffrey. And that was his total quarterback. Pressures weren't down at all. They weren't down at all he had. He had the most quarterback pressures tied for the most quarterback pressures that he had in his career. So the difference was kim hayward still getting their hurting the quarterback. He's just not always there to get the sack and it's not his job. It's not his role to do that but yet he can still get hurries within that. So if you wanna know more about that and check out the film make sure you get behind the curtain dot com and check out the steelers protects article. I'm not sure what time it's going to run yet. But it'll be there sometime on. Thursday morning took to break this down but in order to figure this out i started looking at. I'm like okay. Let's look at pressures and everything else. Well pressure can be deceiving because what if a player is a playing as much. See kinda wanna look at it as okay pressure that they have put how many snaps to play. But then when. I got to thinking about even more mike. Do all snaps count equally. Because what if you're like a nose tackle and you're the majority snaps you're out there is because they're in a running formation in they're running the ball you know. Maybe maybe that's that's a little bit different. So what i did was. I came up with a stat. That i affectionately abbreviate. Because it's so difficult to say over and over again as prp so a player's prp so the prp is pass rushes per pressure. And the reason that i do it this way. This is this like a golf score. You want a low number. And all i did was took the number of snaps where we're where player was deemed to be doing a pass rush and divided by. How many pressures they had so in other words when you get a number. Let's say for example. The number is ten that means every ten pass rushes of players getting a pressure. Okay so you wanna lower number that you would like to have you know fewer pass rushes in between when you get a pressure now to define pressure. I had to do this before different places to find different divine it differently An oprah football reference does one thing their numbers are little bit skewed. I actually looked at pro football focus because their numbers went back to through the beginning of cam career where the advanced statistics on on pro football reference. Only go back through two thousand eighteen so they just didn't help me as much but the way pro. Football focus does pressure. Is they just total up the number of sacks the number of quarterback hits and the number of hurries. So that's what they do so now. Quarterback hurries aren't an official stat. So they're they're subjective. If you know what i mean whether or not it was cra- credited to one player another but still it's dated. We're going to talk about it. So we are looking at cam. Hayward and i i did his entire career like his first career his total. Prp is nine point six zero. Which means every just over nine and a half snaps. He gets a pressure of whenever. Pass rushing but really. It's the last four seasons at stand out because in two thousand seventeen. That's when came hayward made all pro and the pro bowl and he's made the pro bowl ever since so was looking at those numbers and in twenty seventeen. That's when he had he. I mean he made a huge jump in his. Prp all the way down to seven point five three which was the best of his career because he had sixty two pressures on four hundred sixty seven pass rushes now that number and he had fourteen sacks that year now the next year he dropped three sacks and he also had three less pressures down to fifty nine but he played more pass rushing snaps so his his pr was nine point three one and then in two thousand nine hundred nine when he still had ten sacks and sixty pressures it was eight point four two. Now when you look at twenty twenty. You're like okay. This is where the sax went down. But the pressures didn't the pressure stayed up. He actually went up in pressures up to sixty two and he had a he had a pr. Pp of eight point one six so that means even though he was getting to the quarterback cam hayward was still applying that pressure. Just i'll give you some of these other stats. Just because it's fun like steph onto it has a career. Prp of ten point one but in the lab but in last year he had had his best year yet. Seven point three five last year which was pretty good abudu pre because all this comes from being with the steelers he had he had a prp of ten point one eight But the last two years which were his most productive years it was a nine point. Six five and tj. What is just on from another planet. His his pr p. Is seven point zero nine. I didn't check auden any other edge rushers or anything like that..

"Worries me as if they don't figure out the gilmore thing thing is the that's the guillotine hanging over this if he doesn't come back i recant but if he comes back and he's healthy this defense is gonna be awesome cannot say enough about the job that they did two years ago with that defense keeping them in real. I mean they eventually tennessee beats them in the playoffs but that team had no offense and they still found a way to win the division and be in the afc. Playoff i do like that team and bell check redemption like a revenge. Whatever you wanna call it missing the plaza. I don't see him missing it two years in a row but super bowl as asking a lot with that quarterback situation. I want to quickly go back to the chargers because their offensive line. They put even more of an emphasis on offensive line. And they got cory. Lindsey highest paid center in the league Drafted slater. He fell to them somehow. They got they've got blue laga already. They got this guy. They call the anchor. Who played in pittsburgh for years like they feel like they're good but we haven't seen it yet. So that's that's the whole rub on that one. I just haven't. I haven't seen it yet with her. Would you see the. The coach called out to the linemen yesterday. Yeah where he staley. I think's going to be really good so that would be part of the case for the chargers is it's the classic and i remember writing about this for page to a billion years ago is like the really good do coach coming in for the old code shoes pretty. I don't wanna say competent but not great and just it's usually worth four wins. If it plays out correctly you don't you don't want to say what you want to do. Is this because it's almost like the jets. Did this every other year. The jets would have a hard ask coach like genie. Then they'd hire like rex ryan delic. Soften it up and then it higher. Another heart has coaching and todd. Boldt like. that's what it was because anthony. Lynn is the ultimate players coach. Guys would throw all anthony. Lynn socially lovable like stand comes in and is a hard ass. That's what he is and he's all they were also there. Seven nine last year wasn't like they were tuned. Fourteen they seventy nine where they lost that saddam losses. Yeah terrible time management the end and they rattled off wins so the chargers. They'll be good. They'll be better But i think it comes down to the ravens and the steelers as super bowl teams and the question is whether your banking on. Those two quarterbacks can ben i. You're not get me there. At ben i'm going there. I'm now in all right. The case i'm not doing it but make the case right. Took this contract where he gave the team back money and basically as like. I'm all in for this year. If you guys are all in from me got his guy as the offensive coordinator. Now matt canada's the offensive coordinator. He was the quarterbacks coach last year and spent decades in college. He runs all that pre snap motion stuff. He runs a lot of creative stuff. He's got this entire offense. That ben has not operated yet and you might say whoa slow down. You don't need that it's gonna make it easier on ben. they also have nausea harris. Who in fantasy football we could talk about. What knowledge is gonna be. Trust me the way that they were talking about. She harris before the draft yet. They were so excited about missile. One player that. I could say like you know. They're taking nausea harris. If he's on the board they did tomlin loves them. They love him. He is going to be a huge upgrade from the running game last year. Can they block for him though. That's the that's where he's just take you down three guys every time. That's the question and they put an emphasis on it. Look we know that pounds. He's gone villanova's gone. They lost a lot of key players but they they brought in some new guys. Trae turner's one of them. They've got a lot of veterans. And i'm banking on the offense being good enough and that defense being one of the best in the entire league with minka. Tj wa endeavour bush healthy and all the boys upfront with cam hayward and of course stephen to it and the rest so i i think the steelers are going to be really good this year. I think tomlin has them dialed in to the point. Where same seattle. No one's talking about us. No one's leaving us. Guess what we won the freaking division. Last year didn't end the way we wanted but we won that division last last time they wanna play off game. It's been awhile it's been awhile over. Unders and vandal double digits eight and a half get outta here. That's the steelers. He tomlin's never missed sabinanigo. Bego nine and eight you winter bet tomlin has never gone below five hundred fifteen years. It's just not happening. And i don't see it happening while playoffs. Plus one seventy suggest to make the playoffs. Plus when seventy the schedules brutal. And i think that's that's part of why i was looking at the chargers versus ravens or steelers. Because i mean i'm just gonna read it yet bills week one. Okay yikes probably a loss raiders. Bengals home and then at packers home broncos home sees seahawks sunday night so pretty brutal start then. It finishes home ravens at vikings on a thursday night. Home.

NFL Live
Which college produces the best NFL talent?
"A special edition of N._F._l.. Live on deck today at the N._F._l.. Celebrates one hundred season just six weeks away however we are just five weeks away in college. Football Opens It one hundred fiftieth the anniversary so today welcome N._F._l.. You were combining the two worlds to answer age-old question what college produces the best n._F._l.. Talent however I'm Wendy net sand Hutus here you know what's better to be on this panel our expert notice icy expert telling me when Lewis Minute of her panter on the list not on the House for back the quarterback guru he and his brother in a lot of N._F._l.. Games James A lot and Ryan Clark. You see the L. L._S._U.. They are ills college football. L. Is Jonathan Vilma bike. He will join US shortly. He happened to win a National Championship and Oh by the way a super bowl as well coming up on N._F._l.. Live will break down position by position which college produces the best quarterback Oklahoma has the number one overall pick the last two years we have the top ten plays all the N._F._l.. Superstars when they were in college and answering big question which school produces the best all time N._F._l.. Talent we had to ask the players themselves to kick things off. We're the first pick quarterback Oklahoma Viva say Oklahoma Alabama Clemson because proven it is one atop factory the Ohio state highest in Alabama. 'cause I never lost beat out. You really can't understand it into your inside. Sadness programming is all about the you for N._F._l.. Because of Georgia in every aspect but I think L._S._U.. CRESA environment of gray competition and guys is trying to feed off of IT University of Pittsburgh. You Got Dorset. Dan Marina you got Larry. Fitzgerald was not a me show. It's about having everybody involved in working for the Sandal clumps in would cushman he's been doing. He's making people believe everything is possible for House is the best our stop it. Stop stuff well. Let's start shall we with the most players from each college currently in the N._F._l.. Alabama leads the way with V with sixty five players players followed by Ohio state in second place with fifty eight so we're going to debate these schools I in terms of who is best at producing N._F._l.. Challenge here's a tale of the tape on Alabama at Ohio state success since the two thousand draft folks tools I have had thirty one first round picks the most of any school while the Buckeyes have thirteen more total picks in the last twenty drafts but Bama's players have been slightly more successful in the league producing three more pro bowlers than Ohio St Louis Rick. Let's start with with the crimson tide. They're starting eleven if you will offense and defense current N._F._l.. Talent there's any question that these are both very impressive lineups that if Alabama can roll these teams out there right now now. I think they'd win a few games without a doubt. If you look at the offense aside outside of the ball the first thing that jumps out of these starting eleven are the two wide receivers look Julio. Jones is one of the finest athletes in the N._F._l.. For guardless of position he's in the news right now because he's about to get a new contract extension and he's really one of the he's one of the transcendent players at the position that this game the scene Amari Cooper the same way. When Amari came out of college? I remember doing his tape in thinking point honestly as far as catching one pet and run wide receiver. I hadn't seen one as good as him as him. In a long long time on the defensive side look they have fine players throughout the eleven here really that when you get to the secondary and you guys like Eddie Jackson Landon Collins I mean these guys are disband tastic players on the front dont`a hightower our multiple time superbowl winner. These are great great players right here. Make our way to Columbus shower of the to Ohio state you go to the offense side of the football. Look the first thing that jumps out without a doubt as Ezekiel Elliott because if he's not the best running back in the N._F._l.. He would be considered a top three running back in the N._F._l.. Wide Receiver Michael Thomas Really someone who was unheralded coming out of college. He's a tremendous tremendous. Pro will probably be the highest paid wide receiver in the N._F._l.. In short time then move over to the defensive side of the ball this this is where really this football team really kind of jumps off the board starting up Front Joey Bosa Cam Hayward those are two of the best defense alignment in the N._F._l.. Right now and then when you look down there at the Secondary Malcolm Dyson Dinkins Denzel Ward Marshon Lattimore doesn't let's get much better than that. All right Jonathan Vilma made his way again surly qualified to weigh in on this discussion. Look I mean there's a shortage of talent with either of these squads. It's almost ridiculous factory and a lot of ways both of these institutions but let the debate again a Ryan Clark. You can't pick L._S._U.. Just yet but when you look at this group what stands out L._S._U.'s better than both of these things we're gonNA get to that. We're supposed to be talking outlets. Let's be honest. There's amazing players. Neither one of them have a quarterback right before proven yet though little I mean why don't we always have to see something first before we can get you well Ray Richardson running back right you saw God compare that with you why time gentlemen we're GonNa play Nice Got Ninety minutes ago. You're the Glenn Difference from every other position that we're looking at okay fair enough now back to you Louis. It is a production results oriented industry. Is it not so it is fair to say seeing something. Does one believe they'll be success won't sure but I mean we're we'll see this is kind of like a combination of what they have done in college. What some of these guys have done in the pros in some of it's a little bit of projecting about what they're gonNA continue to do in the pros? That's how I'm going to expand it to that all right so at quarterback quarterback Dwayne Haskins I believe right now. There's no comparison as far as I don't care what A._J.. McCarron did it Alabama cows tape. Those Wayne has close exact Haskins is going to be a fine football player. What's going to happen to him? Really is going to be more predicated on what Washington redskins overall due to him then what he does to himself. I firmly believe that as far as these rousers overall look the wide receiver position Julio Jones Amari Cooper. Julio Jones's the standard if you go and look N._F._l.. For an offices and look in their scouting books books every team has a standard at every position that they put for scouts the suit for as far as whenever when their scouting people polio is going to be on that list for for many many teams he's about as good as it gets so skill positions at Alabama are awesome. The defensive players at Ohio State is what stands out for me as far as their front seven is concerned particularly their defensive line and their secondary Denzel Award Marshon Lattimore. You tell me a team that wouldn't take those two young men right now and startled. Let me ask you a specific question since you spend some time as an analyst watching these players at the collegiate level if you had to choose either of this group Alabama Ohio state who's players really got better or who took a bigger step forward than you anticipated when they got to the N._F._l.. Out To you to dance your last part no neither standout. They're pretty equal because watching these guys watching Jonathan Allen he played okay well Dante. I'll tell you knew who is going to be tremendous player defensive player C._J.. Moseley's same thing and then you go to the other side and you look at Joey Bosa Nick Bosa Darren like Malcolm Jenkins. I play with Malcolm Jenkins in in New Orleans knew he was going to be a study. He's Philistine but what is surprising how fast or House they defense is. I did not realize how fast defensive you think big ten you didn't big Brawley guys not so fast but these guys can move joey. Bosa also can move nick volks in Darren League. We know the Burner Malcolm J. Denzel War March. I mean that is a very very talented athletic fast fast defense. I thought I was going to jump in your rookie. I think that's a great question Wendy about as far as what teams teams have players that have gotten better pros. You look at Ohio state this look at their offense. In particular Michael. Thomas was a good wide receiver to hire Stayton. He's fantastic now. He's GonNa be highest paid wide receiver in the N._F._l.. Andrew Norwell most people wouldn't even know Andrew Norwell well what from Andrew Doorbell he right now just judge Moore Norwell can't open open some N._F._l.. Spectacular and even on the defensive side of the ball. I didn't think Marshon lattimore. I've liked Marshon Lattimore at Ohio state. I didn't love Marcet. He has taken his game to another level as well in the really own Alabama side you know how I feel about Alabama I feel nick and what he does and how he builds his program but really focus on their offense align that was just look okay and think about that question. Wendy Wendy asked how many players have gotten better how many have continued to improve Andre Smith may have his best days at Alabama. Dame's carpenter has really been good pro Brian Kelly the jury still out he could be a he's a good player. He's GonNa play already in Indianapolis D._J.. fluker was he ever ever really that guy that dominant guy no. He hasn't been Cam Robinson. Have you seen story so it's interesting because they're preventing people have been many people who've hit Alabama and said they get the best out of their players at Alabama. Maybe it's good discussion legal where people go by what teams there drafted so we look at Michael Thomas he falls into a place where he needs an accurate passer and he's one of the most accurate passers all the time also about the place you land in ashore and how they develop you ask Josh Rosen he absolutely he knows that all too well. I ten Hasselbeck. The whole point of this is to pick one of our producers here a little bit we talked. I'm going Alabama mainly change quarterbacks. Yeah I think looks great point about the offensive line at Alabama because so many of them when you look at them just in terms of body type you're like Oh my God look at those guys body type wise but like I don't know that some of those guys have come in and be like Oh and they got a whole lot better. We're obviously splitting hairs here on this ongoing Alabama Lewis Sorry Nick. Oh from a hustle change your mind or did you stick the way said one because I don't care if between Haskins hasn't played. I think he's I think he's in the saints. Stratosphere is A._J.. McCarron so I like that I liked it their offense of line one of the things that talked about how they develop those guys on the defense aside but they're fun four plus their secondary this going with them Ryan Clark you have to pick one while I was brought here for one reason in one reason only when the Knicks because everyone knew it my answers it would be and what Tim Hasselbeck has proven is. You don't need a quarterback. That's really he's GonNa be Ohio state in Alabama that don't have quarterbacks guess what we don't need a quarterback back and by the way you don't want our first off was good enough for Bill Belichick your boy to draft him as Tom Brady's heir-apparent draft. We thought they they went to L._S._U.. Because this guy has what they decided to we throwing the ball all around the field Andrew Whitworth he's played a thousand years. There's a Guy Jerry go look at the Neil hundred may has like negative two percent body fat Michael Broncos out. There aren't key. We gotta wait on them but it's are are you at the back of position. That's all we got mad. I gotTa get here all even have to work conviction when you spoke scissors. I'm sorry I just so tim. I love your twenty. Two question your toughness Whoa West I've seen because as you know what fair enough he's at Alabama alum landon dare you wait into the circus that we've created. But what do you have to say about this. Whole debate ain't Ryan got some good good good stuff going on say? I wouldn't question his toughness at all. I don't know why you questioned Ryan toughness. I saw him not got a lot of Alabama's always number one no matter Corolla tyrod. Let me ask you a serious question. You know obviously nick. Sabin is a hall of Famer one of the best ever coach this game but specifically what does he do that has allowed such historic success at the university. Steve Alabama <hes> as a coach he speaks for as a coach. He represents his players as players coach. I would say he makes all this coach. All the players are on the him as a player as a father <hes> <hes> and as a as many tried to teach us they'd be a man and a great play all at one time you know so he does it all leading. Can you please tell the people why you are now better that you have trusted your career training with the guy from L._S._U.. Hey right you agreed trying to grow been gone on gone for years
