"And then joe probably says another version all right. Just just kind of stu. How likely would have been to take that job. Joking i do. I did previously pronounce it. Brett rypien i. I don't think anyone knows that a properly. Perhaps that name. But this is a pretty underrated offense. And i think it will eventually as we've highlighted here. It's gonna come down to what teddy bridgewater does and if he's rather not a hindrance but just can keep things afloat. I think that they can be more productive than people anticipate and one of the things that one of the things that comes into the equation here is. I think i'll underrated. this offensive. Line is as well. Now it's not necessarily a top ten group. But they've got some quality starters garrett bowles who was a first round pick and has been better over the past few years dalton reisner is thought at that. Left guard spot. Lloyd cushenberry who. I think we were all obsessed with as a potential center. Pick for the giants grand glass now and then you look at to their backups in a teen moody and then also quin minors. Those would be starters potentially on on this giants team both of those guys or at least one of them could be on this giants team or other teams with that interior groups so that that offensive line is of decent quality and i think could be recognized more for that not to mention that. The offense of line coach mike mancha. Who's a top two offense of lying coach long with bill callahan in the league and win. Shurmur brought him onto his staff. Denver mean bowles drafting twenty seventeen. He was an older prospect. He's twenty nine years old now draft in the top twenty. He looked like he was going to be a bust. Like everybody was labelling. This kid of bust chat comes in twenty twenty and he cuts his pressure in half. He doesn't surrender one sack and he causes penalties by like a third or something. Ridiculous penalized maybe four. Three or four times last year the year before was double digits near before that was even higher so like he really cleaned his game up. Thanks probably more than likely to the coaching. Mike munch act and then guys like lloyd. Cushenberry think he struggled last year in his rookie season so he has to kind of grow into his own but this entire office of line. It's solid i would say overall i think the giants should still be able to generate pressure against guys like bobby mass. You're probably gonna start on the right side. The swing tackles cam fleming. We all know a decent amount about him. And i think leonard williams index warrants can win those interior matchup against cushenberry dalton. Reisner in graham glass cow as well so i think this is an interesting Interesting match up to definitely look for. Because i think the giants don't struggle necessarily to to generate pressure that they have forty sacks last year which ranked in the top twelve and. This is an office of line that can be by you. Know has to happen between the twin. The lines man. So we'll see if that actually materializes on sunday yet. I'm also just looking to see how disciplined giants are in their run defense. Because we do guys. We haven't really talked about yet. We've mentioned them but haven't really talked. Melvin gordon devante. Williams the broncos running backs those those are two of the better running your runners in the nfl. And i feel comfortable saying that about the rookie because well. I've really like him. But we saw the giants. Mostly their backups. But their starters a little bit have some issues with tackling in the preseason and these are two guys i would say williams. More than melvin gordon But two guys where you can't with you can't go for armed tackles or shoulder checks. You have to wrap them up and bring them down. Otherwise they're gonna get yards after contact. And you can't have those. You can't be bleeding those sneaky yards like that so as you can tell folks. This broncos offense is capable of being productive if they are against the giants remains to be seen. And i think that one of the things that we can point to. As you know the defensive line which we've highlighted and the giants certainly have the secondary to match up with those receivers. So that is where i think things are gonna come down to in this game is how will they prepare to go against those skill position players. Coming up we're gonna talk about the defense for the broncos which is going to be the strongest unit on this team and a big reason. This game could be a defensive battle before we do though we're going to take a really short commercial break. People often ask me of prosecuting. The mob is like the movies while there is violence. "At ourselves saying What the hell are we gonna do. Right now nate solder getting their kenny wiggins peddlers. That's not anything that's going to get any giants an omen fuzzy at the same time. That might not happen but if that does happen would you guys be shot. Oh not at all you know we. We really haven't seen much from matt parrott. We saw him get on the field a little bit in certain packages in certain situations last year. And that is that a little bit of a difficult situation for an offensive line. Because he's he's not really in the flow of the game yet. The chemistry of the unit gets upset a little bit. But it's also kind of a difficult position for the guy going against him because there's not really any tape on the guy you're all of a sudden going against you know you have your pass rush plan for cam fleming but all of a sudden you know whatever may be long term work you've done you setting up moves figuring out what cam fleming's tendencies are or the the way he likes to go into his past that's how he likes to set his hands all that then all of a sudden that goes out the window because now you've got this young guy that you've never seen before in so that kind of worked both ways format parrott last year yet. Now he is the guy and we don't really know what that means for him. You know we we can look at all of his tools and be excited for him with shame lemieux. We can look at what he what he's able to do. As a run blocker we can look at just how powerful he is as a blocker but we also have tape of him being something of a liability as a pass protector. And what impact does that have on. Nikkei's what does that. Impact have on andrew thomas on the other side if struggles. What impact does that have on will hernandez you right now. I don't think i would be surprised by any of the range of outcomes for this group and maybe in a situation here in this first exposed like bigger exposure for the offensive line and just off of simply assumption because even though our assumptions have been relatively incorrect in terms of playing time. Maybe if they play the whole first half most of what they're doing is maybe a little bit more vanilla in dry in terms of the play calling. They're not really asked to do anything to complex because the coaching staff doesn't want to expose too much. Maybe that helps them build up some confidence. But i'm really in line with you guys here where i think. The two biggest young guys on this group shane. The you matt pair have the most questions to answer. Lemieux being the fact that as you mentioned chris liability in the as a pass protector extremely lumbering for the most part in a lack of ability to move effectively at the level that you'd like from an interior offensive linemen which was what we saw last year and then it has all the tools as we've been talking about but it's like okay. We're in the second year now. He's no longer a guy who stepped in for some series and did some nice good things. We can't really spend time getting excited over like. Wow that looks really good. If the rest of the time he's making mistakes in it look sloppy so as we get into your to where he is supposed to be that starting right tackle. It needs to go from flashes to as i said moderate consistency. He just needs to start to string together. More and more good snaps. I would much rather have met paired out there. Hopefully he figures it out pretty quickly. Then i guess the alternative option is nate solder being that starting right tackle which i mean. We haven't seen nate solar play since two thousand nine hundred eighty opted out of twenty twenty season in twenty nineteen. He was reportedly dealing with an injury and it was evident because he was a turnstile. For eli manning and daniel jones and. I'm not trying to be disrespectful. But he gave up a lot of product. he led the league in pressures and sacks that you're maybe he was like third or second impressions but only by two pressures Being the top tackle in the league allowed pressure. Have that again. I mean that's how many times are we going to do this. I mean dave ghetto. Many came in here. He said he was gonna fix this. All offensive line in his offense of line has not been fixed yet. And it's not because they didn't poor assets into it 'cause they did poor assets north but this year. They had opportunity to add some offense lineman but they felt comfortable and they were really really almost stubborn. I would say to almost auburn saying look. We're comfortable with the guys we have. This is what we're going with. And if their comfort ability ends up being mediocrity. I mean the half the blame hubris. You have to blame the coaching staff. You have to blame really everybody. Yeah jerry reese took plenty of heat for basically trusting the coaches to develop the guys. He drafted for developing eric flowers. Bobby hart Brennan moseley before he. I guess fell into the bermuda triangle with a back injury. Say just impune western. Richard turned out okay but they were basically completely pro ready. If the giants had the opportunity to draft another offensive lineman especially after parting ways with their right guard yet.

"So maybe in that those three live situations he can show them enough to keep him on the roster but I agree that the 53 still seems a little bit lofty for him just based off what we saw because early in camp it was ugly right? He looked extremely right. It was really ugly. Here's my other question and I might be remembering wrong. So if I am tell me. Yeah. Was he one of these tackles that came in as it came into college or finished high schools of tight end? No I don't think so but he has played both tackle spots. So he started early on at Wisconsin as a right tackle. And then they flipped him to left tackle later on in his career to protect will grier. I knew that. Yeah. So that's pretty good. Yeah he's got swing tackle potential certainly. So that works. So I ask about the tight end thing because the player I always liked you know not a great player but a guy I thought that they kind of maximized was what was his name? I just had it. From Alabama Michael Williams. Michael Williams you got to Alabama as a tight end converted to tackle but would still play tight end occasionally. And you know you look at a situation like last night right? Where they didn't have any tight ends. There's Devin Asia that was it. Okay if you have a tackle who and so when the Patriots had microwaves they had it they had him listed as a tight end but he just basically always came in and blocked. They'd run them out on a route like once a game to keep the defense honest. I think they threw the ball twice. The entire year and a half he was here but I just always thought that was like a nifty kind of player. And you know could you it's not like the juice is one of these 340 pound tackles. Right. 6 5 three ten. You look at that frame and his athletic ability. Can you maybe fit him into that role? I don't know what happens alignment. I don't know about the truth. Essentially has a 6 on a line with maybe some eligibility in terms of going out in the past. Sure. I look at him as a ball of clay. And I think that's what they like to him when they drafted him and they had Carnegie here at that time. And I think they thought let's get this guy in here. He's got all the tools all the footwork and foot speed in order to play tackle in this league. And let's let scar chisel out all the bad edges and all the imperfections right? And I still think that they can look at him as a player like that. And maybe he's got some like you know lager and waddle cam Fleming type of upside right where he can be a really solid third tackle. That's sort of a almost a borderline and starter but not quite in that provide some really good debt for you. Again I don't know if you'll ever be a starter. I thought I had a West Virginia he had potential to become a starter but the injuries have put him so behind the 8 ball on his career trajectory that it's going to be tough for him now to develop into a starter from this point on. But sort of as a valuable backup I still didn't get there that ceiling exists. All right again I'm just you know I'm just spitballing here..

"Those are thoughts. We've seen some pretty consistent. Play from looney and i know that we've had the previous glimpse of what it's like to have a former cowboys. Lineman plugged into the lineup. Would with cam fleming so we kind of have a sense with that. Might be like i. I think looney could be a good option. If they're not really feeling shane lemieux or any of these other guys like kyle murphy. That are in competition to possibly play at guard. Yeah definitely really at this point the more options you have the more guys who can do more things the better you know. There are a lot of questions about the giants offensive line right now. And that's something you kind of has to give you at least a little bit of pause as we march toward the preseason and week one and just to type one other loose end we got an update from mike florio that the giants have actually already met with three center. Austin raider formerly of the kansas city chiefs and basically the looney signing happened after the meeting and that basically closes the door on reader signing with the giants at least for the time being last headline that we wanna hit on another signing with some guys shuffling in and out of the available list of guys practicing at the linebacker spot. The giants add veteran. Linebacker todd davis the twenty nine year. Old who spent time with a number of different teams specifically the new orleans saints. The denver broncos for five seasons and then most recently was with the minnesota vikings coming out of sacramento state. He has started or participated in rather ninety six career games and then in terms of his total tackle numbers he has five hundred and five total tackles to go along with. Twenty three tackles for loss so pretty productive has seen a lot of snaps has been on the field a ton a guy that could work his way into a roster spot just sheerly based on the fact that this dude an experienced better in which the giants don't really have a whole lot of at the interior linebacker position. Yeah and he doesn't make a whole lot of place. Behind the line of scrimmage. Yeah he's i believe he's got three sacks. She talked about his tackles for a loss but he does get a lot of tackles and even if that is at the second level yet. The giants defensive scheme is good at funneling ball carriers or short passes to those inside linebacker so having a guy who can be a reliable tackler who can move in the open field. I believe he. Davis is not a real liability in coverage. He's not as good as some of the other linebackers. The broncos have had in there you know covering the middle of the field but if they can have a guy who can be a pretty reliable depth player who can make tackles when tackles are there to be made and give them at least some upside in coverage. That's a solid edition. Yes solid ad as they're currently having a couple of guys shuffle in and out at the linebacker position and we talked about some of the concerns for the giants. Not really having a lot of veterans..

"But i would say no but i think if if you're going to pick one to be the quarterback in two thousand twenty two. I think it's drew lock but again there's also the scenario of let's say bridgewater does win ten games. They make the playoffs. And you keep him. And you go good a rookie and then you kinda groom that rookie to take over for bridgewater. I mean i think that's a very real possibility that i would guess is in the back of george. Payton's mind in terms of long term future of of the team so the other real true vision battle because the the rest are all kind of playing time battles at this point or avoid cushenberry. Either slip sandra quinn. Minors proves he can be in the competition. Which is i think because you put it to us after the first practice so it's not a competition center is right tackle. And we saw anderson there for two days. And then today we saw bobby massey there for the first time together paying the most money that you'd expect would get really the longest look although you know what you have there so when i say longest look best chance to start. Because they're paying them that money. You have to talk about being nasty after practice. You in a handful of other reporters while still at the main podium. How how did that conversation go. And how would you handicap the right tackle battle and we haven't even seen Cam fleming there yet even though he does come with a super bowl ring which is more than everyone. Not name bonn miller and brandon marshall. Brakeman's can say. Yeah i would. I would describe bobby as confident you can tell that. He's a veteran when speaking to him. It's very clear that he knows he was brought in here to win that competition. I think everybody knows that. He's the favourite to win that right. Tackle spot and i would still say. He's the favourite..

"High hopes for either of those guys. I'll put it that way Gambling was a guy that i liked coming out when he was initially drafted versatility. But i think maybe he's been that versatility has been overused. A little bit is it. Seems like he can't really find a position. Is that think if i'm not mistaken. He's kind of floated around on the played all all over the place But we'll see how out i think. Probably fleming's maybe. Just as good a shot as bobby massey to the majority of snaps the The broncos are in a tough spot at right. Tackle those guys are for a reason and it was so late in the process. When john james got hurt in so you know. That's that's been something that the broncos fans criticize the front office or is that we've kind of known for the last two years the john james's injury prone we don't have a lot of tackle deaf behind him and they've asked on tackles in the draft and he came back to bite them this year. And so we'll see what happens. Hopefully they can get some meaningful snaps out of either mass. Your fleming at the right tackle position but if not they're going to be in trouble all i will tell i will tell you this in bronco fans this. I was actually happy a year ago. When the giants brought cam fleming into new york because for five or six years the first portion of his career he was a very good swing. Tackle a little bit of right little bit left. I think he's dabbled guard a little bit. I think is best. Position is probably right tackle. But i think that what we discovered in new york is kind of what we feared was because nate sold her opted out andrew. Thomas i think the original plan was for andrew thomas to start his career at right tackle. Andrew thomas you know fourth overall pick went to left tackle. Kim fleming moved in as the starting right tackle. This was the first time in his six or seven year career. That i think he had started more than six games. In a season started all sixteen games in the results just weren't good. I think he's he's probably a guy where you if i'm a broncos fan. I probably hope he's not my starting right. Tackle week one because he's a hate to me. He's a good fill in. He's he's a real because he's a hard worker he's pro. He knows what he's doing. He's just not that physically gifted he can probably help a for a game or two but but the more he plays the more he'll get exposed so so. If if i was you guys i would be hoping that. That did bobby. Massey comes in and impresses. Yeah i think that's the prevailing sentiment right now particularly with the amount of games the bassey has.

"And then we were just talking about stand up comedians. Who is your favorite stand up comedian. I got a friend of mine in the business, Sebastian Maniscalco, and he's pretty funny guy really enjoy his comedy alive. I know. You know, I know out like Jim Gaffigan. If somebody I enjoy Demitri Martin, I love stand up comedy. I try to get out there and watch the county every chance. I guess I'll be glad when When that gets to go back to full swing. You ain't kidding, man. I didn't. I forgot how much I missed that man. You know, it's been so, uh, it's been so long since I've been able to go to to a comedy show and just, you know, be entertained. I mean, there's so many things that to walk out with your stomach going because you were laughing so high. That's the best. Yeah, absolutely a face to face laugh or your cheekbones hurt from laughing so hard, it's the best feeling in the world. All right. So we know Broncos are yet to wrapping up some more time as they've been working on these these O T A s. It's like, Look, the conversation is still being had. About about Aaron Rodgers. And the only thing I hear lately is that Green Bay is trying to make a run at extending his contract, possibly given him some some guaranteed money. But he's still not happy it once it's going to hit a boiling point. Well, I think we're probably looking at after the Fourth of July and getting closer to the actual training camp for this to hit the ball in point. I've talked to some people up there. My sources tell me he is not going to report next week. The Packers minicamp. He's going to go ahead to eat the $90,000 fine for that on Tuesday, So, um, you know, it's still not settled. They already offered him a big money extension and he turned him down would have paid him over $40 million a year. He turned him down flat on that so Aaron Rodgers saying It's not about the money. Well, it certainly appears that way. At this point. I will tell you if the Packers make him available. The Broncos are all in on bringing in Aaron Rodgers. And I think that Aaron Rodgers preferred destination based on the people. I've talked to his Denver so if Green Bay can't get it done You know, all of a sudden this thing starts heating up. You know what Vic Fangio was just Talking about our right tackle situation, and he said that we're going to have a good right tackle as a start, By the way, that's coach speak. I have no answer for you, Coach Speaker. I don't I don't know about that one right there because I do believe that As an athletic young player. Calvin Anderson looked pretty athletic, um, but bringing in Bobby Massey and Cam Fleming that that will give you a shot in the arm for the competition. Right then. Well, absolutely, And it's very familiar with Bobby Massey. I had a chance to, uh, to bump into Bobby on the town the other day, and I'll tell you it's a large human being were like Bobby Massive is what we're going to have to be the YouTube being Bobby. Massive mind. What is it? What? What is the feeling like out there at O T. A s. Is it still joyous? A guy still having fun and You know, like the the best part of being at O T A s and really a football practice to me. Is this threat? You can always feel the tension of the team during this threat and And I love that part because you know it's time to be loose. Is the team still really lose? Because we've seen all these great videos of them at O T. A s. I think so. It feels looser than it's been in a few years. You know, I mean, you've got everybody that it's really just waiting to get this thing started. It feels like this team has been a team has been kind of building towards this year. You know, there's been some turnover with some of the veterans There's there's been a youth movement over the last couple of years in this offense is on the verge of growing up. You know, I think I think the young guys are keeping the old guys young and I think the old guys are keeping the young pups in line. So, Ben, you know, when we talk about this last year, this was something that didn't happen. We didn't get these OTAs. We didn't get any mini camps. We didn't get training camp. Everything was done on a virtual scale Who is benefiting most from these activities actually taking place. I think it's got to be the quarterbacks and wide receivers on the offensive side of the ball. You know, you can't get the timing down over a zoom call. Uh, you know, he seven on seven that they're having a pretty valuable It gets gets reps for these young receivers and helps get the timing down with these two quarterbacks. And then on the other side of the D V s, I think I think the Broncos could have one of the best defensive back groups in the NFL and Getting a chance to get out there on the field and understand this is kind of complicated. The cran Geo defense, You know, I think it's really good for him. I think it allows them to understand what their teammates are going to be on the field at all time and again. It's something that you can conceptualized by saying it on tape. But you can't get it unless you do it. Here we go. We got a couple of more weeks before the guys take off on June 17th, and then we're at training camp..

"Remember that Jets game we saw they try to run a screen for Royce Freeman and dots and just was two steps and couldn't get out there to block you just not mobile enough. So I think he's more of an emergency option in his Kelly's not a bad player play for the Titans. I think he would be all right. Cam Fleming's got a little athleticism. I think he fits scheme, but, um, there's not really a win option here. As far as that goes and then the roster. They have Calvin Anderson, who filled in admirably for Garrett Bulls, and that Carolina Panthers game Quinn Bailey, who had I don't think is an NFL level starter and the UDF A. They signed Drew him woman at Illinois State at 69 £320 about Dalton horizon, moving him over. I don't think that's a thing. You know, Vic has been very clear that I think that's an emergency option. I don't think that that's the direction they want to go with that and I'm not sure that belt is really built to be a tackle in the NFL. I think he's more of a guard. You look at him trying to get back in that kicks line. I don't think he's fast enough to be a To be attacked with the local level. Well, what is the significance in your mind of the Broncos taking Quinn veneers in the third round? A guy that played obviously very small school, Wisconsin Whitewater. We all we all know the story how he works out. They sure seemed to like this young guy and they're going to start him at least give him reps to start with at center. Yeah, quit miners and to give you a back story on that I got tipped off to him back in 2019 by the system on line Coach here at U Dub Whitewater and Owen Reese. Um and I went up there to look at some guys and I was like you say, but here I need to look at. He's like Junior guard. We got Quinn Might he eats people? So we're looking at him, and I was like, Wow. You know, it's probably didn't wanna walk too close to him right and stay away from the belly of 100. Add to it. So you know, I would've been a snack for that guy. So it Z. It was funny to get that and then I see him at the Senior Bowl this year, and I'm like, okay, now get a chance to see what he could do against guys that our future insurance salesman. What do you think he's tossing people around Senior bowl? I mean, he had no problem with liberal competition, So I got super excited about it. We actually had him right and I had him on the Show talk to him at length for a half hour back February. He's just a great right guys fun. He's a guard. He was a guard, but he's looking forward to the opportunity to work out a center and I think that's where the Broncos won him. I think they want a challenge for cushion. Berry, who struggled in past parole last year, at times, you look at the tape the Broncos tape from last 67 games of the season, and teams figured out they could sugar the gaps and come through and that he didn't have the function Strength. Hold up so You know, I think I think if you're if you're the Broncos getting push that competition and bring in a guy like minor team who can play all three positions on the interior line is a good thing. You're looking at the little bit of the tape. I thought he struggled mostly, and, like bulrushes, like, you know, we we kid a lot on the show, but old man strength. I think when he got against some of these NFL dudes that have old man strength That was a different deal for him. But that's something you can get better at. Yeah, and you could get functionally stronger. Guys tend to do that You get the NFL workout programs you get stronger, but the biggest example that I think is Grady Jarrett. Now. Grady, Jerry's probably the second best defensive tackle football was when he one handed push back into Drew locks lap in that game. A couple of times was laughing about it. So, um, that's you know, you really want to see I root for everybody to succeed. I'm not room for anybody to fail. But Quinn's Quinn's a special guy, and I think he's gonna He is, if there's a real shot at taking somebody job, he's gonna be a fan favorite, too. You can see that already. Absolutely will be. He'll be. He could be a fun guy to have on The show here on a regular basis. I watched those workout videos up in the woods where he's clearing the forest out that that was around at Castaic Love that I wasn't sure if that was B roll from the Rocky where he's fighting Drago or if that was great, that was great. That's an interesting story for sure, Ben Thanks that would appreciate you this Benjamin Albright K away NFL in Broncos insiders. We chop it up a little bit sponsored by credit dot or g'kar. It will be interesting. I think you know, you think about Lloyd cushion bury the third. They spent a third round draft choice on him and he started every single game, so I agree with what Ben said in terms of bringing competition in But man If you're third round draft choice can't play. That's that's a big law. You gotta do what you gotta do. But that's a big miss. How easy of a transition is that though to go from playing guard your whole life to center. I do the NFL. I've never played either, but I've talked to guys that I think the answer would be easier. Easier to play center place. Now you've got to be able to snap the ball and you've got to be able to. I mean, depending on what often sure, and you've got to be able to make line calls. That's what I'm saying. You know, So okay, well, but the set the center normally speaking Is gonna have help. From one of the guards, right? I mean, the defense can buy their alignment or or blitz package. They can force you to pick somebody up individually, which is one of the keys to being a good Defense in a bullet of bullets, sort of package, But I mean, normally speaking, you're never You're very seldom. Are you soloed? You've always got one of those guards. Punch into that inside gap, So I was thinking more football I Q Because because of the line calls, it's a you know, I think it would be difficult. Me Some teams have the center do a lot of it. Some teams have the quarterback do a lot sometimes have the quarterback in the center sort of share responsibilities. So What was Kush doing? Does he make of the life? You know what? I don't believe so I did. Do you know riser was making most of those? I did not think it was cushion Berry. So we'll see. All right, 10 25 is our time. Three or 37138585. "A very high stakes game of chicken. Is the simplest Packers have to come to the realization he's not coming back and then therefore go get their best deal. Um, sort of. I think they already realized that, though, because this is the situation, despite not having been in the media, up until about a few days ago, has been going on for months. I can tell you that the Rams made an offer and try to try to go get him. There's some back channel conversations they had with him prior to trading for Matt Stafford on the Green Bay rebuffed it at that time Niners did to the Niners did the day before the traffic. The Rams did it before the Stafford deal, and so they've been trying to. They've been trying to get him and bring him in. For a while. The Packers have been flying out there trying to talk to him all this kind of stuff. I think as long as Brian good against is there, there's no way or Rogers comes back. This is just good against or is it Mark Murphy as well? I think that he's Personal animus is with Brian Good against. I think that would Mark Murphy could be patched up. And he had Murphy have had conversations between February and now, But I think that there's Animosity with more than one party, but the split or the hard sell is with good goods. What about John James and the Broncos? What do they do there? That's a tough situation, especially after he kind of he was working out at the Broncos facility. And then when the Players association decided to do this arbitrary, ot a boycott thing, Hey, went along with the team, even though he disagreed with it went home and started working out. And when you're working from off site, you're not covered under team insurance. So he wiped out five million and injury protections and 10 million in salary and he ended up really hurting himself on that one. The Broncos. I mean, I talked a couple Bronco sources. They're very, you know, empathetic. But right now that situation is one where he sees he and the players have really kind of set themselves up for failure in the players Union massively overplay their hand. Not all the players were on board with not doing these OTA is I can tell you that right? It was not Wasn't he wanting to do the O T. A S was that he's not the only guys like Alexander Johnson. These guys were showing up there, guys, they're showing up. They just agreed not to talk about it to kind of keep the unified the perception of a unified front. But there I could tell you that locker room was upset about it. And there were guys in that locker room and said We were five win football team, the optics of not showing up for opiates While we're trying to make a power grab on something we didn't collectively bargain. Eyes is bad and JC trader and some of these guys have massively overplay their hand on this, and they're gonna get a lot of pushback this week because of John James was gonna get this could get really sticky with the union. It could get really sticking with you. So if you had to make a prediction will the Broncos Say sorry. You know, we feel bad, but we need this money to get another right tackle. If I'm predicting something, I suggest that they probably what the Eagles did with Jason Peters a few years ago, which has reached a settlement half um yeah, reach reach a settlement. You carry him on the roster and its equitable for everybody. You get cap savings. He gets some of his money. Nobody's the bad guy in it. You know, when you go forward from there, it's not one report that said it's a season indeed. Injurious another report this So what? Maybe there's a chance. He can come back. Is it a Tauron? Achilles? Yes and partially corn's not fully tourney, And there is some optimism that he could be back for the final month of the season. Give or take talked with my Garofalo, who put that out The second report. Talk with him yesterday, and it seems like that's the hope. But that's more of a hope that a medical diagnosis I'll just say based on The fax that we have That would seem highly unlikely to make and it's Z is more hope and wishful thinking that I think it is anything else. So with the Broncos have any interest in a Gallic Mitchell Schwartz or Charles Leno or what do they do it right tackle. Those are two names that are out there. I don't think Leno's gonna be one of them talked to somebody yesterday they hadn't reached out to him yet with Mitchell Schwartz. I talked to his brother Jeff yesterday for quite a bit, and Mitch is still rehabbing. He's not ready to play. So even if they reach out to that, that's kind of a giant question. Mark still has some back issues, some other names that are out there right now that I would suggest Rick Wagoner, Audie Massey. The more Dotson could be brought back, although I think that's kind of an emergency option and then Cam Fleming and Dennis Kelly would be other. They're going to bring some guys in this week and kind of take a look and see where they're at and go from there. So Mitchell Schwartz. He had a back issue that he's still rehabbing. Yeah, he's still rehabbing that back issue last year's Iranian play in the Super Bowl, and he's contemplating retirement. And the rest of these guys. Anybody stand out to you other than him. Cam plaints. Dawson's old. I mean, he did a fairly good job last year. Yeah, but he's old. Yeah, Dotson's a fun guy. He's good in the locker room, but you can't You literally can't run the screen game to his side..

"Haskins days in Washington time. How are we? Merry, Belated Christmas Happy Early, New Year has things Not too bad. It's enjoying some good weather outside with The ones trying to burn some calories and they're off week and There's some football on NFL action is getting close to playoff time and some ball games so No complaints in the NBA started. So Mabel Toe sit around and watch him. Watching sports would feel because you couldn't talk to you, too. Back in the air. You you basking in the cheese, it bull. At this moment, Nothing could be worse than that. She's a ball fears back at that game was one of the worst they think of all time, but Yeah, that that will not have a by the way who better Washington football team career, Haskins Or who said Oh, who sacked by Maya? I mean, not even close. Not did not did not get caught after going to a strip club. Scott, read me your your stat line today. I didn't know you were the record holder for completion percentage. NFL history. That's impressive stuff better than they. Yeah, and nobody has fewer yards. His NFL records two for two from minus two. That pretty amazing just to be clear when you say I did not get cut after going to the strip Club. Does that mean? Just just so we're clear I did not attend, Okay? And then did not get cut. As a result there, Enough. Yeah. Should've clarified s O. I want to talk some diners. Um, but obviously college football, your bread and butter. Um, Stanford football in particular. Drew Dahlman today announced that he will forgo his final season at Stanford head to the end of the NFL draft. This is not necessarily a big name because he's a center But he is one of the top lineman in the conference. One of the best centers where your top two or three really in the entire country, so I think he's gonna have a good pro career, but I want to direct you to. I know you can appreciate this on. Maybe you saw it on Stanford football Twitter, but a letter that Ah young Drew Dahlman wrote. 10 years ago called never too late to dream. When he says, My biggest dream is to become a college football player. Better yet at Stanford University, because that's my favorite team. This dream seems almost impossible, though. And you know what dreams came true. How about that Pretty cool story? That is awesome. Now he's a great kid and knowing his dad and also played and coached at Stanford and Crystal man, and you know he grew up here in Salinas in the Bay Area. Um, I don't want to a lot of Stanford games growing up. And, yeah, it's awesome to see a kid like that. Who worked hard. Think we all liked his technical skills when he came in and part of that incredible class with Terrell and Walker. Little and Roman didn't get as much pub, but I liked him. Kind of kind of a mean nasty guy. And then once that we all well, said once he fills out, he'll be really good. Sure enough two years later. He filled out and became a really good center at the mental side. The quick first step is tough has been around the game, his whole life his dad played in coach so I think a lot of things going for would be interesting to see kind of amazing. All the great Stanford alignment have come through in the last 15 years. It's a lot of them haven't worked out in the NFL for some reason, like David DeCastro by far the best career and if you guys like, you know Cam Fleming at a Lifelong career, but hundreds hundreds to andr speed. Yep, still still playing at a high level, But so many guys went when high in the draft and just ended up, not handing out you wonder if there's Stigma now taps with Stanford offensive lineman, But I like him. I think whoever drafts I'm gonna get a tough, smart kid and he's he's maintained it. One of the very few Stanford players do not get injured, which is an exclusive club. Yeah. S O. I like him. I'll be curious to see how he goes. Well, the other guy who man lost for Stanford, no doubt. No question, although one I imagine they probably saw it coming. Um, another loss for Stanford on Gwen that I think could have gone either way over the course of the season. But when a guy catches 16 balls for like 230 some odd yards in the last game of the season, maybe that tips the scales semi for cocoa will go pro as well. And again. Here's a guy who's like 23 years old. He went on a Mormon mission. He's married, right, so he's clearly Ready to move on to the next phase of his life. But how good a pro will send me for Ho, Coby and you know people are going to say Well, JJ are single white side hasn't worked out, but this is a different player in a faster player in Foca. Yeah, I think the one thing that are single white side. He was a big, strong player, right? I don't think anybody would say he was fast. They ran pretty well to combine. But he's not real good at getting in and out of brakes and speed cuts and things like that. He's just a big, strong receiver who can out jump out muscle defensive backs. Okay. I'm going back to that Colorado game last year, he caught and ran away from everybody. Much better in those speed routes. Um, can separate. We saw him go up and make some catches and traffic. But you're right, get the ball in his hands. He could make the first guy miss and he He's got a acceleration unlike our single white side, so I think he's gonna be again. It'll be interesting to see where he goes. But you're right. He's going out on a high note like the midst Comiskey, Mister Mister, like, Let's just go out and See what I can do it the next level. It is interesting, Though, Stanford losing a lot of guys and not leave Stanford early there, they would finish out there or five years on the farm. It seems like the last six or seven years of good news is means. Recruiting high level athletes but.

"Down three scores. They're gonna have to get a bunch of receivers out there. They're gonna have to go to the hurry up. I mean, you're down three scores now, 12 minutes up in the fourth quarter. Let's go. Yes. Second down and nine the clock winds under 12.5 to play in the fourth quarter. 23 browns on top, McCoy say, Yeah, yeah, he understood who the mike was, takes the snap hands the ball off to Mars again, runs up the middle, then cuts to the left. He's across the 35. He's up to the 40 yard line, eventually taken down by Sheldrick Red wine first. Down for the Giants. May I gotta be out. I'm surprised back to back runs to start this drive that was successful. Given credit just to counter scheme. Kaidan Smith got a really nice block on BJ Goodson. They saw the way Baltimore was able to run against Cleveland on Monday night, just taking a lot of time off the clock eight of 14 yards 11 40 County to play here in the fourth quarter. McCoy takes the hand off this time sets up in the pocket. He's under pressure. They're gonna get a holding call against the Giants. McCoy rolls to his right and he shoved out of bounds by Taki Taki. It's a gain of one, but it's gonna be holding because Olivier Burton was about to blow up. Colt McCoy. Yeah, they're gonna get Cam Fleming happened sometimes when the quarterback goes outside the bloc offense number 75. 10 yard penalty replay first down, You know it's funny right after cold, McCoy went outside of camp Fleming time Plumbing put his hands up real quick because he knew he told him. "Monday. I re watched this game that I can't believe he was just happy. Because two giant touchdowns or called back two of them by questionable penalties at very best. At worst, they were egregiously bad at best. They're debatable. And on the final one Which ends up being kind of Ah fake field goal attempt. Essentially Joe Judge, you know, throws the clipboard and punches the air and can't believe they called the touchdown back now to describe both of these more as the first one was because Tackle wasn't set right. That's what they got. The first one on that was the fake field goal to end the first half. Can't Cam Fleming, an ex cowboy actually is on the left side left tackle? And he just doesn't get said enough in other words, like he's not in a squatting position enough when the plays run completed on the right side for the touchdown. So they totally get the Cowboys napping. It's a great called the end of the first half. You need a little razzle dazzle. You need to pull few stops out because you're undermanned team would be the giant just don't have a lot of good talent. And so Joe Judge is trying to get it. Get a win here on the road in the division. And that one's called back and you know, he's a pack. He's just beside himself. And everybody is like, I can't believe you called that. Okay, so that's the first one got to settle for the field goal. The second one is another touchdown throw airy sleep to Darius Ladies that late third early fourth I believe it was late. Third. Okay, I have looked at it was in the second half. Yes, And they're getting another Giants wide receiver, not slate in the different Giants wide receiver Radley on a rub route. He's he's coming from the right side, and he's kind of angling in toward the center of the field. And It doesn't really even look like he's trying too hard. He's he's just kind of sheepishly, shoulders up kind of moving in the direction and that's another kind of brutal call that goes against the giant it again. The sideline goes nuts. And there is a moment where Daniel Jones look so Eli Manning. Because Daniel Jones has that stink face who farted look that Eli had perfected throughout his career on the That's a touchdown, A wait. It's not What happened here and so on This one. Which of the two did you find Mohr? More disgusting. I found the fake field goal more disgusting because it is such a joke. First Camp Fleming is such a fat slob. It left tackle anyway. That Him not being set and calling it whatever was the illegal formation. I mean, the man is crouched down just because he didn't go those extra two inches and, like sets it right after because he's so heavy, it would be one thing if like That is what caused the Cowboys to bite on the fake field goal. It had nothing to do with the play. It is such a tiki tackle. So draw me up a wall. Now the offensive pass interference cool that you bring it up. Drove me nuts, too, because to me, it felt so obvious, and even if it wasn't obvious that Radley's just trying to run a hard slant quick that if the cowboy defenders sitting there basically just takes the charge like it's in basketball, we could automatically call that offensive pass interference, which, if that's we're going to do in any trip set, and I would just coach every defense. Hey, just take a charge local offensive pass interference. It's like a blocker charge calls like just take the charge every time. The only reason I have less of a problem with it is actually the end result. That happened yesterday, which is probably the most under the radar transaction in the NFL. The Giants released rattling yesterday. The guy who committed the offensive past interfere, huh? So to me. And this is just I could be way off here. Maybe after watching film because Joe Judge is such a hard ass about running laps and making mistakes Show Judge did feel like that was a worthy enough offense of pass interference penalty, right? We shouldn't be doing that. And now the man is out of a job and they've signed another receiver of the practice squad. That could have won the football game for the jabs. Absolutely could. It was a beautiful, actually a beautiful pass and others and count for Daniel Jones down and they would have scored a touchdown there instead of kicking three games completely different. So again, I go fake field. Elmore, the offense appears appears really bother me. But if he coaches and result is releasing the guy who committed it? Then to me, at least that makes me have to be objective Step back. Will the coaches watching something on film? And you just made this mistake cost us a touchdown and you're out, So maybe it was the right call. I can't believe after yet two touchdowns called back on ticky tack fouls in a one possession game against the Cowboys. That you came out on Monday and just, you know, I was just happy to be competitive. I'm shocked by that. Here's why there's two reasons number one. I'm freaking numb to the giant losses where this doesn't happen it honestly. I've learned to live with this. And I argue this two years ago when you're a bad team, bad calls follow you right like it's. It's one of those things where you're bad. You're never gonna get the benefit down the calls, and I'm just I'm so used to it. Number two. Nice. I mean, you should know this. If I came out of the gates Monday, and all every store was typing and G chat about how the Giants got screwed everything we would've gone to 6 30 in the morning or 7 30 in the morning. We would have played whatever the highlights were from that game, and you were bogus would have been like Oma Razek and the Giants stink. But the rest of the reason you lost Abu Baba Baba. And it took you two full days to go back. We watch and realize the Giants did get screwed. You know, I'm happy. I didn't come out with that tape because you would have buried me and then never thought about it. When you're we watched the game, so win for me. Okay. All right. I'm not saying you were right or wrong. I'm just shocked after working with you for eight years that there was a Giants Cowboys give if they were finally in position, a win two touchdowns were called back. And you were just like you know what? Not a big deal. I'm just happy that they had a game. It is a big deal, and I was angry. But remember, I got talking to sad about being more positive. So I was trying to be more positive. And I also know what you guys would have said to me. You guys have done this on the boy who cried wolf when it comes to reps and you know, and you know you're laughing, You know, that would have been too taken 6 30 more as making excuses for reps again. Ah! It was atrocious. And you know what now on, it didn't even bring up the biggest problem of all, which is the stupid play to gallop down the silence that wins the game for the bank off Bangles leaving and he looked like cowboys. Is one of the most egregious holds on Marcus goal than you'll ever see and Because Tony Romo the homer and I don't even care about to say this because it's rare that CBS gives them their noses against anyway. The guy doesn't even know the rules that everything didn't realize that's not a catch. He has the 2 ft down, but never brings the ball. And once the ball comes in second for his up gallop, a Loomis sideline and half his knee gets out of bounds. And that's what sets up the whole field. Goal for Roma. When heads guys, can you look at the rule book and replay it because you left America thinking this whole problem. Going all. Of course, it's a catchall owes. No, it's not. You missed through calls in the game winning play. So now a great story, But Andy Dalton, throw it out the window. The child should have a wind..

"Online in a Realtor time. Well, rocket can coming up this hour here on the show. We've got a champion. We've gotta jump on a Wednesday morning. Yes. The triumphant return also What a rough October career. It's been for Clayton Kershaw, which continued last night as the Braves sees a tuo Siri's lead, But I want to begin with football here because I was rewatching giants and Cowboys yesterday, and I know we were talking a lot about Andy Dalton and Dak Prescott ce injuried where the Cowboys go from here and upon re watching Dalton play again. I am Mork convinced than ever. The Cowboys are going to win this division, and it may not be particularly close. I know that the Dallas Cowboys defense is historically bad, and I realize that that could be an ongoing issue the entire year. What The odd to me statistically, tell me they can't be that bad all seas along when they will get five more cracks at the division. I just don't think the early return to the defense is gonna be what we see the rest of the year. And I think back to last year's Dolphins team where through the first three or four games. I mean, you could've made the case. They were the worst football team since the 76 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the expansion Buccaneers that ended up going on 14 and lost their 1st 26 consecutive games. Eventually, the Dolphins figured it out. Eventually, that offense because of good coaching, were able to navigate their way through the second half of the season to remain competitive, and they certainly did not end the season is one of the worst teams ever. And I just think that sometimes early in a year A team can scared a little bit on the ice and not be able to get their their sea legs for a while. And then, finally, the picked him up about mid season or so after a couple more weeks in I'm not saying that I love the coaching in Dallas, but I am saying they've got more talent than it would suggest from what their defensive returns are, so I think they'll be able to get better there, and they got slightly better last week against the Giants. But again, that's the Giants. I also think that ultimately that offense, which had been working very well in the first month of the season. They needed a crazy miracle Comeback against the Falcon to the onside kick butt. Offensively, they were ableto score in Bunches and move the foot ball down the field and largely, that's because, of course, Doc Prescott, but Ezekiel Elliott looks trim. He looks faster than last year looks more explosive than fat, Ezekiel Elliott last season. And the three headed wide receiver Monster of Amari Cooper. And Michael Gallop and CD lamb. They get open. I mean, they absolutely get open and they give a Siri's of options to whoever the quarterback is going to be. They still have a good if not great. Offensive line in front of the quarterback. And you have a competent quarterback and Andy Dalton. You have a competent quarterback. I'm not saying he's a great quarterback. I'm not saying he's gonna be Dak Prescott. He is competent. And if you have the weapons that those guys do And you play in this division. I think you will be able to get it done either. You'll be able to figure out ways to get it done enough in this division. So I I don't like where the Eagles or AC. I know they've underperformed. They should be better than they are as well. But I just have a much better confidence based on the roster. And now who they have it back up quarterback. Did I do with the Eagles, and they get to play the division five more times. So I like the Cowboys lots, although in this division and I also think that It's cool in sports when good guys get chances to rewrite their history, And that's what Andy Dalton's gonna have a chance to dio. Say what you want about his postseason flame outs, but he always he's always been a good guy answered questions. Never blamed. Anybody took bullets for everybody took bullets for Marvin Lewis. Took bullets for an organization that never, ever ever wanted to spend any money. Bend. Got blasted What he signed in Dallas. What do you do when you don't wanna be a starter anymore? You just take it back up money. You're not competitive, You know, Dax, never not gonna be the quarterback. And here he is, with a chance in his home state with the Dallas Cowboys to win a division and go to the post season because it's been headed to him on a silver platter. Hey, you don't have to do a lot to win. To win a division here. And I think he's going to do it. Played well, not great, but he also comes in in the middle of the game, and you know that's always hard for backup quarterback really less than half the game that he played. He came in, went midway through the third quarter late third quarter. Now I'm watching this game again, and I'm thinking to myself. How did we not get a morass meltdown on Monday? You might remember Monday was a day where Morales claimed he was just happy that the Giants were competitive that he had. Spent the entire day celebrating a competitive Giants game chanting, Let's go! Giant shotgunning a truly or shotgunning a white cloth. Some gross, disgusting Awful Sprite like drink. And He was just happy. He was just happy to be here and just happen to be alive Day for for Morales on Monday. I re watched this game and I can't believe he was just happy. Because two giant touchdowns or called back two of them by questionable penalties at very best. At worst, they were egregiously bad at best. They're debatable. "The biggest thing and critical downs and distances. Because a good team like the Steelers are especially on the defensive side of the ball. They're going to recognize that and they're gonna come after you every single time. The biggest mistakes for Daniel Jones or I'll say inconsistencies with Daniel Jones is when there was an extra player. Coming from the Pittsburgh either second level or third level, and it just got disrupted and so he couldn't operate a cz effectively without great pass protection. They're offensive lines of work in progress as well. We do this and we knew that Cam Fleming at right tackle is he's a backup. They missed Nate solder, and he should be a bit late. So exactly so intimate. Thomas could be on the other side. As a rookie, he said. He actually played pretty well. Andrew Thomas in his first game, a CZ, the first overall pick our first round draft pick for the New York Giants. Listen, I tweeted this and we'll get to the steel. There's big Ben, who was, you know, absent for a while. We'll get to the titan of the Broncos coming up next segment here, but I did tweet this morning. So you know Eventually, especially in this town is going to come down to two wins and losses. That's how coaches that's how quarterbacks degraded, But, you know, I watch the Giants as much as I watch the Jets and you know for the first time in a while, Remember, Jones have the worst record cumulative last three years in football, 12 and 36. There was a lot to fix. They looked organized. They looked for the most part. They look discipline. They look passionate and they played with great temple, particularly on offense. As Garrett has, you know, begin begun planting seeds here so You know again, you take away from it now, Daniel Jones's tool, But the toolbox is there. There's no doubt you know, you mentioned the throw to Slaten too great throw one time. He needed a little bit better recognition by this sticks. Another time he got it When he does, he can run. He's he put on some real functional strength, like really legitimate. Wait. I like Daniel Jones. They have a few areas They need to shore up the Giants or a year away. But there were some positives that you take away from that. I think giant fans should be not going to say they should be pumped. I mean, giant fans expect to win Lombardi's after a while, but they should be enthused with the early direction against a team teak. That is, in my opinion. Ready to assert themselves and leap into that that chief's Ravens part of the A F. C. Yep, that's Tier. One tier two. You've got the bills. You've got the Titans. Maybe the Raiders may be somebody else. Here one Chiefs, Ravens and the Steelers and trying to get there and I think that they might look, they have a great defence BT they're aggressive. Every There's no liabilities. Really on Then. Offensively, we lose James Connor. Again. We're going to stop making excuses from him. I know his story is fantastic, and I give him all the credit in the world Great kid, but he simply cannot stay healthy. He goes down early in this game or not middle of the middle of the second quarter. With an ankle injury. I believe it. Wass and Benny Snell has to step in many cells in the second year. We remember him from Kentucky. Vinnie Snell Junior. Actually, we got Kentucky sweatshirts because of our conversations. That's right, Junior. That's right. I kind of forgot about where he was and what he was doing, because he was kind of buried on the depth chart. And then he didn't He played a little bit, But it wasn't really about. You know the running game last year with the Steelers. It was about their bad quarterbacking play, so I kind of forgot about Billy Snow. Venice now could play man. He had 113 yards on the ground last night. And if they have that stability than this offense with big Ben is going to be ridiculously exposed explosive going forward because they big bin didn't look hurt. He didn't look like he was any any rust. They looked a little rusty early well, but a lot of that was the pressure. I mean, the one thing you do give the Giants for they got a ton of pressure on him. Whether it was, you know the defense of front or you know the linebacker's coming around and making it difficult. He took a couple of sacks in this game, but otherwise I thought big been looked like he didn't miss any time at all, which was surprising for 38 year old man who just had surgery on his elbow and It has hasn't spent his career in clean pockets. You know what I mean? He gets through. He gets hit a lot. Lt looked really good. You know when you know this receiving group, which I think they have some talent Chase Claypool, who was a rookie? Out of Notre Dame's Samuels. Deonte Johnson. I think you were out when we did our when our Pittsburgh Steelers teak interior training camp two a days I wass. They hate believe that he might be the best receiver on the team. You know, Juju Smith used her How today he like he He started the season right with to touch this guy back, but Dante Johnson, he's a good player as well. They had a lot of weapon. They got all the weapons have been big, Big Ben needs to make this Pittsburgh Steelers team viable. Into that top tears you're talking about. Yeah, I've got, you know, high expectations for these guys. I mean, you talk about Bud Dupree. They were raving about him last night to 70 flying around. Not just getting after the quarterback, but he had 11 time may have been Barclay where he pursued him, and he ran about 50 yards toward the flats, and he got him. I mean, those got the big bodies, fast bodies. What you know about mink of its Patrick Devin Bush, who they'd rather recently I believe he was 10. Whatever he was actually moved up to get him something to steal. There's generally don't D'oh. That throw and that for the throw, But the catch by Claypool, right? I saw an advanced stats on that that there was a 13%. Chance that he would catch that ball, which was by far the lowest rated Catch possibility of any throw over five yards in week one of the NFL season, and he dotted him like he's been around 10 years. Yeah, he doubted in both wouldn't throw what they are. But this is what the Steelers doing Alright. No, no, they they find wide receivers who we've heard of, but we don't expect they're gonna be superstars, and they Become superstars. Nobody thought you'd use miss used to is going to be better than Antonio Brown. But when he had more targets and more receptions two seasons ago, three seasons ago, I should say now because we already started this one thing. Then Antonio Brown and made Antonio Brown expendable. That's that's the Steelers. It's what they do, and not a year over year over year over year going all the way back. Plexico bursts when he ultimately came to the New York Giants after being cast off by the Steelers. They have consistently consistently surrounding big Ben with viable weapons. Which is something that the Eagles the other team in Pennsylvania haven't done. We'll get to that later on in the show. We are gonna have a real extensive conversation about Carson Wentz and where this is going to lead here, but, you know Just a little 2028 2nd complaint here. No, Listen, there's there's not many Mohr antiseptic stadiums in in the NFL that met life. It's just it's big. It's boring. It's got no character in the stands or to have to push back so you're not close to the field. It doesn't feel intimate. No, and it's even worse when there's no fans in there because you can see the and the grey JJ RAB seats. What a horrendous stadium look bad. Just all I hear is terrible. I tried not to focus on that. It's hard not to come back from break or work. I agree. There's only stuff. My God, we'll get to the other game coming up in a bit. That's a sweet stadium, which actually had a few fans in it, which was pretty cool to see. But I got sick. I just unplugged for a sec, buddy. My bad hold on. Come back the weak ones of the books and I think it's fair to say what we said yesterday. You know, there's gonna be a lot that seems a little heavy for some fan bases. Whether it's the Browns, you know whether it's the Jets, whether it's whomever there's gonna be some some fan bases that are Naturally or unexpectedly fired up today, like down in Jacksonville, and maybe even the Arizona Cardinals, even though you and I both like them, Maybe there's a little overachievement Little Super Bowl hangover for the Niners. We'll see where they go. But for the most part, you know we've got it was a good It was a good start. There's negative, you know, Covert didn't didn't flex on us here. In fact, out of the 30 got test right? The 3600 test of all the players in the The coaches. They had zero positive That's impressive is amazing that they're not in a bubble, but we keep hearing this about the MBA, and we'll touch on the N B A little bit later, the Clippers try to avoid an epic meltdown to the Denver Nuggets. But we expected in the MBA because they can't go out. They can't do anything..

"Certainty in the home buying process with alone that fits your life rocket can Big show A lot of different directions. Got the basketball tonight Game seven Clippers and the Denver Nuggets self It's in the heat as well. Start the The Eastern Conference Finals three. We don't load up on guests all the time. But sometimes when you know we have a chance to talk to some interesting people certainly do it. And today's one of those days for Eastern one Pacific. Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs joins us at 4 20. We've got four time World Series champ Tino Martinez. The baseball actually announced their postseason bubble plans. We'll get to that. And right around 5 20 eastern. 2 20 Pacific Miles Boykin of the Ravens there wide receiver, So we had a lot of football last night. We start with that little bit of a mixed bag for Tiki's giants, but then steal there's defense. So yeah, that's Tiller's defense. Would uptake. Yeah, you could. You could expect that the Giants were going to struggle a little bit. It was a couple serious where they looked really good. Yep. One that big touchdown Tio Darius Layton was perfectly thrown is perfectly executed. It felt good. And then a 19 play drive that ended in Daniel Jones making it'll advise throw. That was the bad of it. You know, TJ what also had an interception of Daniel Jones, but that was just a great play. Bye bye bye Them. You know the one thing I take away from this, Bt is, the Giants are working part. We knew this. We never work in progress. We weren't expecting them to come out in the world beaters. With the new head codes quarterback in a second year, completely remade defense that has some liabilities that big bin was able to take advantage of. But by and large, you're not discouraged by watching the Giants may be frustrated by watching the New York Giants. But you're not discouraging is over. We need a new coach again. That's that's not anything that you take away from this from this Giants team. I will say that's a Kwan Barclay. Hey, might not be in every down back. He cannot pass, protect head. And it is it is, it is starting to become glaring. ITT's probably the only issue he had to deal with coming into the NFL. Hey, wasn't asked to do it at Penn State, and now you see him diving on the ground, not sticking his head in people's chests. It's it's going to show is going to be a liability because people see it now it's on tape, and it's going to come out. But on the other side, and I was surprised I'm not a statement that by the way, that's a statement. Not really. I think I was drafted Top five. Yeah, but if you watch him if you watch him for the last couple of years, he doesn't want to block. And if you are, if you don't I learned this early on in my career because I was a third down back before I was a star running back. You know what I mean? So if you can't block you can't be on the field on third down. You just can't because you know those air high blitz and dog downs and someone's coming from the safety. So you have to recognize what the defense is trying to do or how there How they're going to dog or blitz you and more recognition is one and then to you got to go hit it, Dude, take what Barclays, a big man. He doesn't want to hit anybody. That is, that is it's frustrating Toe watch. He also dances. He knows a great back. But he's frustrating. Toe watch trying to pass protect. Yeah. Hey, also dances a lot. I know there's more holes last night, but there haven't been so far. You know, his days in the NFL. He's an incredibly electric player. Everybody knows that does a lot of dancing a lot of negative yarns. A big back who wants to play small? Interesting Now? Is that a Is that a willingness? Or is that a technique thing now, which is something he's done his whole life? It's how he's made big plays happen. College. I met the blocking. I'm sorry. Went. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, That's a It's a It's a technique thing. You know, I remember I had to learn it because I'm not in love not to 30. I was I was £200 on my first couple of years. In the National Football League. It's same foot, same shoulder because otherwise your you don't have any powers. You have tto lean in with your same foot and hit with your same shoulder from soon from hate. Leaning with my right foot. I gotta hit with my right shoulder. It's the only way you're stopping Momenta MME and discouraging, especially a D. B from coming full speed at your quarterback. Mm. And it seems like it's a minor thing, but it might be the biggest thing in critical downs and distances. Because a good team like the Steelers are especially on the defensive side of the bowl. They're going to recognize that and they're gonna come after you every single time. The biggest mistakes for Daniel Jones or I'll say inconsistencies with Daniel Jones is when there was an extra player. Coming from the Pittsburgh either second level or third level, and it just got disrupted until he couldn't operate a cz effectively without, you know, great pass protection. They're offensive lines of work in progress as well. We do this and we knew that Cam Fleming at right tackle is he's a backup. They missed Nate solder, and he should be a bit late. So exactly so and Thomas could be on the other side. As a rookie, he said. He actually played pretty well. Andrew Thomas in his first game, a CZ, the first overall pick our first round draft pick for the New York Giants. "Welcome to the problems that exist in the year two thousand nineteen Dak speaking of NFL honors was asked by Melissa stark. This was an issue on the red carpet that dude that's ridiculous. He did. Also, someone hint that the question are was asked about Zeke want to contract and tax. It hate us that my issue on my problem. I got my own to worry about that is sort of the biggest question I think's running the Cowboys was now all this ridiculous drama about who's gonna call the plays the offense coordinator Dag Siegen Instagram whatnot. None of that is important. What is important is how the Cowboys handled their team financially over the next few months? It's they have decisions to make when it comes to DeMarcus Lawrence. They wanna bring him back on going to franchise tag. Again. Is it a lot of term contract situation? I think everybody feels comfortable pain DeMarcus lawns. But after a year where he proved it after he played on the franchise tag. How much more is democracy? His agency going to want after that the college one. Extend Prescott does Dak Prescott can't feel it necessary to an extension. I think anybody in that situation would want an extension sooner rather than later. The same goes for zeal Elliott in those discussions of the Cowboys rate a handout on extension Amari Cooper. There are a lot of young and important players on the couch, and they're going to have to decide who was worth bringing back now. And at what price because those decisions are going to be quite costly. And I think the interesting thing they consider an a lot of you, by the way mentioning and it should be mentioned that former Cowboys coach and player. Wade Wilson passed away over the course of the last week just terrible situation. So young the of sixty on his birthday. Horrible bit of news to learn lots of former Cowboys players tweeting out and posting their well wishes and wealth thoughts for the Wilson family in such a terrible time that was such a bummer to read during the week leading up to the Super Bowl. But I think that you look at this. And it's going to be interesting to see how the Cavs approach free agency because they don't have a first round draft pick. And they've been so good at drafting talent in the first round that helps them right away. And without that asset without that commodity are the Cowboys going to take a big swing and free agency. Do we see the Cowboys go-getter safety? Do they make a run into Thomas family? Do they make a run perhaps Landon Collins the college going some help Tida or do they believe in Blake jar one? Do the Cowboys try to fortify their offense of line? Obviously. Cam Fleming was an interesting addition last season to the Cowboys go out and get some running back help next Zeke Elliott, we'll see what they do and how they handled the rod Smith situation the Cowboys five necessarily will get another pass rusher into the Cowboys. Really think that what they've got is enough are they satisfied with the bread Maher. For example. There are a lot of questions to consider in terms of how this team will or will not approach free agency. There was a comment that the Cowboys should approach tight end or get a tight and excuse me in free agency. I think an interesting just sort of a local name we've talked about this name before Tyler I for former not former but tight end for this. Nettie bangles Tyler I for has a small collection of the Cowboys and could want sort of a one year kind of prove it deal to get back to the form. Everybody remembers the incredible two thousand fifteen season. He had Tyler I for the brother-in-law Zack Martin Cowboys all pro right guard. So there are options. Jerry, cook is an option certainly is weird. And his awkward is that could be for Cowboys fans considering what he did to use ago if unionise Jose 'cause they can excuse me on Facebook live says cut Sean Lee, how will the Cowboys handle Shali? Will they bring back? They ask him to reduce his contract. They Just just. cut him all the gather are that comedy and Layton Vander Jalen Smith. There are going to be some very interesting decisions for the college to make over the course of the next few months. The news is that the season is officially over. Now, not just waiting for it to end. And now it is a fishery draft season. We will have you covered. Of course, read all of it at blog on the boys dot com. Make sure you follow us on Twitter and blocking the boys..
