How the Evangelical World Turned on Itself

"The day after joe biden was inaugurated. Thousands of people gathered for an event. Calvary chapel an evangelical mega church in southern california screwed group. Jack cheese as what happens when you keep your church open. The pastor at calvary had invited the conservative provocateur. Charlie kirk to speak to the congregation after trump left office. My goodness it was hard to watch yesterday. it was this congregation. Is exactly the kind that the political operative ralph reed dreamed of all those years ago. A powerful church community took its role in politics seriously. Part this church registered voters this church mobilize people in the evangelical world. We're trying to figure out what went wrong. And who is to blame and if every church was as involved as this church especially in this last election things would have looked a lot differently. This part was not exactly ralph's plan. Though the evangelical voting block that he had united was starting to turn on itself pastors. That are coming out and they are saying. We don't like the whole culture work christianity thing. We're not going to get involved in this election. When kirk had a message for everyone who sacked this election out grown way too comfortable as a christian in this country you've been weighed sue part of the mainstream culture weights you part of it.

"In mary's womb. And so i think that's an excuse. Some of them believe that you're seeing that happen. I'm telling you right now. That woke is for lack of a better term. And i don't love the term. But i can tell you where it comes from. It's not a greater. It's seeping into the church. And i think that poorly constructed theological beliefs are directly tied together too poorly constructed political beliefs. I think they're actually tied together. And so what do we do about it in this kind of goes back to what i opened up with which is more than anything else. The problem we're facing in our country is a problem of the distribution of information. That's really where it comes down to and it's it's a problem that it's not we've never faced before is probably we've let this go on too long. We've complained about the media complained about hollywood. So what do we do about well. It's this simple. i'm gonna give you a piece of action that no one else is going to give you. You have to become your own social network. So every single person has lots of contacts in your phone people in your own network. You now must be going create a physical facebook. Go do what you did in the eighteen twenties basically where you must now bypass the guardians and the gatekeepers strip distribution information and you must find whatsoever true as it says in philippians and spread it amongst your friends because the truth once spoken into the world will spread it will an all takes his one sentence of truth to deflate a lifetime of lies and so the other part of this which is less applicable to you is. We have to start building our own stuff. Our own servers are on social networks. And all that but for those of you that say. I'm not going to be able to do that. And ninety nine point nine percent of all the people. Then what are you doing to spread the truth. And here's the answer that many of you will give. I can't because i'm going to get fired. I can't because i'm gonna lose friends. Or i can't because i'm going to lose a source of income bingo that's the actual problem. The actual problem the country is not the fact that facebook is controlled by a bunch of secular despots and tyrants the actual fact is that decent people are afraid of losing their lifestyle. That's the problem. And i get it trust me. I'm not saying i'm above this. There's people that. I just try to avoid the issue politics with less and less actually probably but in years past. I don't want the trouble you've all been there or i'm not going to spread the gospel to this person because they are going to think. I'm a bible clinging bigots. Because that's what you think. Their stereotype is when in reality. They might be one sentence away from all of a sudden opening a door for you to spread the gospel..

"And so i didn't even know what i was thinking and what i didn't know that i know now. Is that in the olden days. A long time ago education was answering the big questions. Who am i. Who is god. What is my purpose on this earth. What is the meaning of life. The answers are in the scripture and people would would teach those things in various ways. But when you get to the twentieth century and then he gets a nine hundred eighty the elites had.

"Because we have an idea. As a nation that the idea of john winthrop who is who is preaching in sixteen. Thirty when he gave the sermon. He's quoting jesus he says we want this colony massachusetts to be a shining city on a hill. He's quoting jesus is saying. I want people to look at what we have an essay. I want that. Who are those people. How do they get that. What is that. Jesus has shining city on a hill winthrop. Preaches that sermon. And that has gone through or history. Sometimes people don't get it but generally we have gotten that idea. Many presidents have ordered that idea that we ought to be a shining city on a hill. Think about it. we're supposed to exist for others. that's like the church it's a it's a it's a biblical value right that we want people to look at what we have at our at our greatness at our freedom and our wealth at all these things and say i want that. Can i get that. Can i go. There can we. Can we bring some of that over here. That's the idea. We're we're blessed to be a blessing and just as the church who said it. The famous idea that the church is the only organization in the world that is primarily existence for those who are not yet members. Right that's evangelism. We're here to reach beyond ourselves and america in many ways has been blessed with that. That's why the statue of liberty is facing outward. Think about it. There's the shining torch of liberty facing outward and saying. Bring me your your poor your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. We've said to the world if we can accommodate you. We want you to come. We want you to take our ideas and make them your own ideas. We want you to come here. And you can become as americans george washington and other the color of your skin ethnicity. It's not about anything you buy into the set of ideas so my mother and father with their accents my dad's ninety-three praise the lord. My mom little younger. She doesn't give out her age. But i think she's in her fifties my parents you know. I didn't really realize this until later in life but my parents buying into these ideas and they learned the english language and they want to be americans at the became citizens and so forth and you realize that they are as american as george washington. That's what america is about a city of course nuts about ideas and these ideas are beautiful ideas and these kinds of ideas are not normal for the world. I wanna say that again so growing up. I learned that my father and mother they would hear the stories of their growing up what they went through and i knew like i don't know why i get to be in america but i am blessed and so many of my friends. They didn't get that now. When i went to yale university in case you didn't know yale was woke in one thousand nine hundred a two. Okay these places have led the world in these bad ideas and so people say you proud. You went to yell absolutely. Not it's like. It's like paul. You know talking about his credentials and he says these things are done. These things are horrible. But if i can use these credentials to impress some people so maybe they'll listen to what i have to say. That's great but i know that those things are nothing that jesus is everything in these. Things are nothing in the case of he'll way less than nothing because places like that now. I didn't say. I grow up in this environment. In middle america went to danbury connecticut move from new york to danbury. And by the time i went to to yell i had no idea what i'm walking into walking into a buzzsaw right because i'm race. I'm working class kid. My parents worked hard love. America appreciate things work hard and suddenly. I'm among the cultural elites okay. Who already have a globalist socialist mentality operating right. So get yale. And i noticed. There's real anti-americanism here. I've ever encountered that. You know this was during reagan. And i thought this is interesting. This is what the movers and shakers. I grew up in a working class. Home this is. This is what they think. And that's where it starts and that's always where it started but it was really far along in the eighties already so being somebody who didn't really know what he believed because i didn't really get the gospel in the bible and all that stuff in church very much was a cultural experience. By the time. I get to this place. I don't know what's coming and it really affected me and i'm sure some of you have kids that you understand what i'm talking about right. You get affected by your environment. And i was one of them. I just i didn't become like a marxist but i definitely lost whatever my parents had given me in kind of drifted over into believing that you know america is maybe a force for bad probably and probably communism is not really a bad idea who knows and definitely christians are crazy and they think they've cornered the market on truth and they're obnoxious and whatever you know all those ideas that are among the elite culture right now which is why you hear it so much because those are the talking heads on tv and in different places the culturally and they really believe these things and so. I'm among these people without really knowing exactly what i believed to. I believe personality. I dunno these really rise from the dead. I don't know i never thought about that. Is the bible really. What about this. And this and this and this i gosh. I don't know well by the time i graduate you can. I was extremely confused. I was you know a marxist easiest but neither was i any kind of serious christian with american values. I understood the eddie. I was just kinda like everybody else and now. Here's where the problem comes in at a place like yale. They've already determined that if you the title. The book is fish out of water. A search for the meaning of life. Right if you're searching for the meaning of life the first question is is there such a thing right. Is there such a thing. I remember being there and even wondering is there. Such a thing as truth is even such a thing. Is god now. if you know. There's god god reveal yourself to me whatever. But what if you don't even know if there is a god. What have you been told that people believe that stuff. They're kind of crazy and they pretend that they know. But you know if you're intellectually actually honest. There's no way you can know. Well that's the idea..

"Church. Like i don't have to talk about it do i. Yes you should talk about it if you really believe it. It's not a bad idea to talk about a once in a while it's only about eternity so but there a lot of people like that you may know some. You've probably have relatives and neighbors. Like they believe. They say they believe but come on. They don't wanna be a fanatic like you and and that's a realistic point of view. Sometimes we can be very unattractive and how we live or how we portray things and there are plenty christians. We've all met them. And i'm sure some of if that would raise your hand. I'm just curious but there are christians that they're about their christianity. The way my father and others are about being greek like it's their. it's their hobby they. They're wearing their wearing. First century sandals biblical. Living in that. You're like can we like just watch the football game and you could shut up and like we could focus on the play or do we have talked about. Had jesus related to that play. Some people get really religious. And that's not the same as living at your faith. We have to understand. There's there's a line there was a time to be talking about. Jesus and then there's another time when you can kind of assume jesus right if you look at a tree you know that. That tree was invented by the lord. He invented that tree the atoms in that tree the molecules in that tree are doing what they're doing because the lord is there okay. The electrons would not be going around the nuclei unless the lord. We're making that happen. The lord is involved in every aspect of that tree. But you don't say a christian tree you don't say that when you eat an apple. The apple was god's idea right heating up christian apple too. So you know he's got saved in the sixties you don't you don't get into that because we sometimes we get very religious and we forget i actually took colson. Who was my hero. And then i worked for him and then he became my friend he always like in. Every speech would quote abraham kuyper. He was this dutch theologian and statesman. And abraham kuyper said famously. I only know this. Because chuck's at every speech he said khyber said that there is not one square inch over all creation over which jesus christ who is sovereign does not say mine every part of creation belongs to the lord not just the religious part. We got to think about that. Everything belongs to him every good thing. All love is god's love if it's real love. It's god's love even if you don't know it so i say that because i think about their many people that we know and there's a lot of god in their lives even if they don't acknowledge it even if they don't know it and we can still acknowledge it as god if you see a husband who is faithful to his wife and showing her kind of love even if he doesn't know it. That's from god. If you see a woman who is beautiful you say that's beauty is created by god. Whatever you see that is good is from the lord and we as the church meet to reclaim those things. Stop saying like everything's of the devil except my religious corner that's not true. That's a lie. The devil actually everything that is good as we've got so the parents of the my parents had for me growing up. They weren't talking about jesus. They weren't reading the bible. But i now know looking back. Why did god use them to bless me. He did that. He loved me through them in a way that was beautiful but they didn't say like yeah it's guy love. Let me tell you about. The new testament got they. They didn't know that. Actually it's not true. My father knows greek words and he'll beat you over the head because it's not because his new testament it's great i've got they got so but the point is i look back and i realize that a big part of my life had to do with the way. My parents raised me. Who were not officially venture locales right. But what did they know. They knew for example good and evil because they grew up in europe. Which was they lived through the hell of the war they had seen evil they had seen communism they. They raised me to hate communism or socialism. Whatever it's called. They knew it was evil and consequently they knew that freedom in america is wonderful. They knew that now. What's interesting is a lot of the american kids. I grew up with had american parents. They didn't really get that they can like what. What's the big deal. This is normal. But if you're coming from the other side this is not normal. This is far from normal. What you had this freedom. You have here this opportunity. What no no. There's a reason people are fighting to come here because this is very abnormal so my mom and dad came here from dark places germany. My mother came from not only was war torn germany but after the war where she lost her father at age ten. She lost her father. My father lost his father at age. Ten they they had suffered through these things and my mother after the war germany part of germany where she lived. My family still lives there was taken over. By the soviets became east. germany became communist. My mother had this propaganda in her high school classes. She said i couldn't take it. It was was was horrible. None of us lived through that so in america we think well how bad could it be. How could socialism be. How bad could government control be it can be very evil and we need to know that and that's why we need to speak up very loudly and very courageously now. But i didn't really need to know that my parents they just told me that because they lived it. I know there's some people probably from cuba here. I mean if you are from those places. You don't need any tutorial on the evil of communism or socialism or government control. You know that is the enemy of freedom and it will crush you. It has no respect for you as a human being. Communism is also by definition atheism. Okay and when. I say atheism atheists because it's a free country you don't have to believe in god but i wanna tell you apiarists mentality says there's no god therefore what is there's no power there's been good at st freedom is a gift from god. He wants us to be free so we can serve him so we can preach the gospel so we can make a lot of money and give money to people who are suffering and struggling. God god wants to use us and wants to bless us so we can be a blessing. And that's that's part of what god has done in america. So that doesn't mean america is by definition a great because we're great we're centers just like everybody else but the ideas that we've been bequeathed by god through the founders have enabled us to send the gospel around the world to send missionaries to send medicine to send all kinds of stuff around the world. Now why would we even do that..

"We are the ones that are so. I grew up in the in that world. Okay now the problem of course. Is that if you raise the community. You go to the greek church. I went to the greek parochial school. When i was in queens new york and the problem was my mother was german so i was not hundred percent greek. And you feel that you're hanging out with the greeks and they're all they speak at home. We spoke english at home because my mother didn't speak greek my father and speak german. We spoke english so we felt a little bit. Like i didn't belong that much. And i was trying to be more greek to fit in right so when you are growing up in the. It's actually to larry us when you think this was not some horribly scarring thing okay. I'm not gonna pretend like my book is about you know. I defeated this horrible wound. I was my father. Beat me down no. I was blessed by my mother and father but it is true that i felt like a fish out of water. And that's why the title book is fish out of water. Because you feel like you're not you don't really belong quite. you're trying to get in. But i had that experience throughout my life mention a couple of the cases but the lord in the dream that i talked about at the end of the book reveals himself to me in a way where the term fish out of water has a different meaning and it was so mind blowing i. I don't think i'm going to really tell that to you. But it's just it was a dream where you just know this god. This was got. He knows me. He knows the details of my life. He knows the greek party knows that he knows each of us. In a way that we don't know ourselves even our spouses our parents that you know they know us sometimes better than we know ourselves but god knows us infinitely better than that and that's an important thought for us just to think for a second that is true. Sometimes we think theoretically it's true but it's actually true the lord in this dream which is at the end of my book he reveals this to me. And that's what blew. My mind was like boom over. I have no doubt this god. He's real but growing up. I grew up in the greek orthodox church and they didn't really give you the gospel. They kind of assume. You're greek your christian boom. That's it you're not a turkey and a muslim. You're not an atheist. Come on you know your greek. that's it now. There's a lot of people around the world like that. In my book. I read about the germans. They felt the same thing. We're lutherans invented protestantism. Come on all you have to do is be german. Your lutheran you're done you don't eat. You're going to do anything about it. And it's all about grades right not exactly in some ways it is but so the point is that there are a lot of people that they carry around this ethnic pride and they proud but it can go too far and so.

"Please give a warm welcome to a tremendous man of god and a wonderful friend and a great great speaker. As you'll know in a moment eric metaxas. what's happening. Praise the lord. Hallelujah thank you. Jesus god bless you sit down because this will go to my head. I'm telling you you don't want that to happen. I'm insufferable as it is so what a blessing. Why are there so many of you here. I'm really uncomfortable with this. What's happening now. I love the idea that somebody's going to try to sign. I talked very quickly. It's going to be very difficult. I'm very sorry. I'm going to speak way too fast. Even just to watch what happens over there. I'm going to watch this. I'm a new yorker. So new yorkers speak too fast. And i just apologize in advance. There's nothing i can do about it. There's a few of you here. This morning i've noticed. And i my wife is She's going to be at the third service because why get up. If you don't have to which which brings me to the question. Why were there so many people at seven fifteen am service. Do you guys understand that they said to me. When you see the when you see the next service you'll see why we went to the seven fifteen like what what it's too crowded and it makes you uncomfortable so you need more room. I don't know but i was fascinated but people would get up for seven fifteen. Am service and so. Thank you for being here. I feel at home. I would come to this service. I would never go to a seven fifteen service. If i was required to by passenger jack and they got a pay pl services. But i'm just amazed at the number of people here. And i know there are people beyond this room someplace watching. God bless you guys and you're lucky you didn't come in your because the stench. I don't know what's going on right. Why it's bad god has spirit you. Something's going on now. I'm just saying that. I could say anything. What do they know. what are they know. It's unbelievable listen. I always want to start out the most important thing if i leave you with. Just one thought as deliver god's word it would be that if you go to mypillow dot com. You know. I said if you go if you go you want to support a violent insurrectionist you go there free country and the most important thing. I can feel the anointing when i say this. Use the code eric. that's the most. That's the most important thing if i don't get struck by lightning it's because the lord is sense of humor also means that he invented people. I talked about this a lot lately. The part of what we're facing in the wo- culture and by the way the cultures not woke. It's just the cultural leaders. Who gave you the impression that they're more of them than there are. Most americans are not insane. You gotta understand that. Which is why we know it's right but but a big part of it is the lack of the sense of humor. And because i'm always joking around even when i'm not joking around. I got this kind of humorous edge of half joking and stuff and so now that i'm the enemy of like this is. I knew it would happen eventually. But but if they come after you they quo you even when you're joking like he was serious right like i will say outrageous things as a joke but they don't have a sense of humor. They're like oh really okay. So we're going to quote ed. We're gonna quit. We're living in crazy time. did you know that. Did you know that the times. We're living in utterly unprecedented but the good news is the lord. He kind of knows what's going on. It's not like we're alone. We have the lord with us and if we didn't we'd be in big trouble but we do so we're not so i want to tell you i wanna talk a little bit about where we are in the culture. I also want to tell you a little bit about myself The myself part. I wrote a book which just came out. And i think that's the one that they have here but it's called fish out of water a search for the meaning of life and i want to say that i wrote this book because i wanted something that we can give to people who are not on the same page as we are the logically or politically just something that we can. We can share something with them without feel like we're gunning for their head. You know what. I mean like his christian sometimes like they come at you with both barrels and they want to talk about jesus every second and there are many people in the world. Who if you have that attitude. They're going to run now. People are running from you in running from jesus and you're part of the reason the running from jesus that's bed we don't we don't want to be that. We want to be sensitive to god. And so i just wanna say that i wrote the. It's really the story of my life until i had my conversion dramatic experience around my twenty fifth birthday. The lord spoke to me in a dream in a way that was utterly miraculous absolutely utterly miraculous. It completely blew my mind. And i knew jesus as lord and it's game over i'm done. I found the meaning of life. I found the meaning of truth. And the but you know what before that i was there. Were times where you're looking for it and you but you don't know if it even exists. I i wanna. I wanna help us understand. There are many people a lot of times in our minds as believers. We act like either. You're saved where you're an eight this atheist marxist right most people are not most people in america for example. They're just working hard and they just haven't bumped into what you by god's grace alone you happen to bump into and so they're not hostile to it. They don't even know what they think. And we play a big role in what they think. And how we deal with them and so on and so forth but part of my story of growing up is that my parents were really good people. And they had a respect for god but they didn't know him the way i know him now and i thought to myself. It's interesting because you get the impression. Sometimes that people are are out and it's black and white and whatever now we know if you're not in heaven you're out okay but that doesn't mean that everyone who's not exactly where we are working for the devil. Now that gets complicated but the reason i say this because i want to say that i grew up in a community. That was a wonderful community. I can actually tell you. My father is greek from greece. My mom is german from germany. They came over here in the fifties. They met in an english class in new york city and english class chaucer. I'm talking about like learn how to speak english. And if you're raised greek and german. As i was that means by definition you will be raised. Greek the a scoring at home greeks no. They can't help but they know that they're the best ethnishity. What are they supposed to do. Apologize for it. They know they're better like they invented democracy and their languages better in and look the bible. You know the new testaments written in greek. God knows his the best that. Why would he use greek. Why because this is at the greek no this and that's bad that they know that because they walk around like yeah we we. We were there. I.

"Gotta tell people. Today we are playing I preached at calvary chapel chino hills a week and a half ago. Seems like can be just a week and a half. It's amazing I was one of my folks in connecticut This past weekend the previous weekend. i was at calvary chapel. Chino hills california jacobs church. We're going to play that sermon. This weekend i fly to sonko. Say which is near suffered a cisco san francisco california which is now i believe Reclining by mexico. Am i getting that right. I think so. Or can't we can't out like nicaragua francisco. San francisco was saying who was the francis animals. And so san francisco san jose san diego. Those places are all named it. It's obvious that mexico really owns california. They're gonna take it over. Released gavin newsom. Listen to this drawn and quartered. Isn't that interesting. Yeah yeah that's that's the first thing you're going do listen. This'll wanna hear about about. You wrote something about so culture. The muppets i'll tell okay. Yeah in fact. You sound like a muppet right there and it reminded me that i think it was over the weekend. Disney put out this whole thing about how the muppets now have to come with a warning okay. So it's kind of like a little bit of censorship there on the muppets and instantly. It reminded me of the mccarthy hearings. It was like the mccarthy hearings all over again. i mean. Think about it for i. They came for charlie mccarthy and edgar. Bergen did not speak out because he was not a puppet. We'll woke oh alvin. I'm sorry this is too good to just jump in. This is what martin niemoeller who was friends with dietrich hoffer. He wrote the famous poem. And you are now applying this to what is going on with the muppets. This is really important folks. Listen up go ahead. yeah okay. And then then they came for lamb chop and jerry lewis did not speak up because she was not a puppet then they came for cucolo and france and only did not speak up even though he was a pop it. No no no. Oh you're right eight because fran ais friend did not speak up but she was she was she was a human being. Who cla fran. and ollie. Speak up please continue. Yes and now. Of course they've come for kermit. The frog miss piggy and all the muppets and jim henson. He can't speak up because he passed away in nineteen ninety. So there you have it while the and now they're gonna come for the rest of us dummies. So you've got gotta be you know. That was funny. That was good album that was. Let's keep head in the show okay. They're gonna come for guns. Oh they're gonna come from fuzzy the bear. they're gonna come for all of them up. It's gonna say because. I tweeted this out the other day and got zillion re tweets if you think things are going crazy folks. That's because they are but here's the point. They're not really going crazy because most of us see that things are going crazy when they're canceling the muppets. When the cancelling mike lindell when they're canceling me when the you just know something ridiculous is happening. It cannot happen in america because we still have a voice and we will use our voice while we have. Our voice I have this program. I have social media. But you've gotta use your voices. This is part what. I talk about in the sermon at chino hills. So we're going to run that today both hours. It was the long a sermon. We already have it on our youtube. Pay if you wanted to just go there and watch me deliver it Rather than listen to it but we're gonna play it in both hours today. It is a kind of real madness album that we are experiencing this. I said yesterday amazon is no longer carrying my friend. Ryan anderson's book when harry became sally's about transgender craziness. Right well they think they banned abigail shriners book. We had we had her on this program or some other store. Bandit when people are doing this we need to stand up. If you don't stand up ladies and gentlemen you are part of the problem. You are part of the problem. You must speak. You must act. Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. Not speak is to speak not to act is to act. God will not let hold us guilt lists. We are obliged to do something when we see this madness so in anybody tried to cancel someone else number one. You need to support the person whom they're trying to cancel so they've tried to do that to mean a number of ways. They tried to do that. Horrified to mike lindau. I will say on almost every program please go to mypillow dot com and my store dot com and use the code. Eric we need your support on this program. Del really needs your support. Please go to mypillow dot com and my store dot com and use the code eric Most although at my store dot com. And i wanna that because amazon is now getting involved in the cancel culture. We need to find alternative venues For how we can Get our books and other things. So that's why. I want to say my book Many books are available at my store. dot com. use the code. Eric get a big discount. Also stock redes in the city. Dot com has many of my books available signed copies. And let's not forget. Alvin my the this this program. Yeah we can. Oh you can get albums books. And mike and books where what's the website it's called us shop metaxas dot com but if you go to metaxas radio dot com right. Not what a whoa wait. You're the producer. I think you need to know the website. It's metaxas talk dot com. I just had a brain freeze. Its metaxas talk dot com. It's been that way and producer. Can you imagine how bad it is for the rest of the world. This is i know challenge taxes dot com where people just fatigue but folks. Listen there's no we're not asking much a please take take take control of where your dollars go. I spent like zillions at amazon and stuff and probably will continue to spend money there because there aren't great alternatives but when we find other alternatives may be we need to send a message to amazon And do whatever we can so again. I will say most of my books are available at mypillow dot com. You gonna my store dot com. Use the code eric You can go to socrates in the city dot com if you go to taxes us dot com which is just this radio website Metaxas talk dot com and you can click through mature metaxas dot com but honestly you can get hats mugs t shirts and my books and albums books. You can get them there. We need to speak up so today if you listen my sermon at mills which were running in both hours today. You'll hear me talk a little bit about this kind of thing tomorrow. Alvin were running My socrates in the city. Conversation with peter thiel one of the geniuses entrepreneurs of our time spoke to him about i guess about a year and a half ago at socrates in the city. And we're going to be running that tomorrow. Because i will be out of pocket as they say. I'm going to be down at the tbn studios recording a ton of stuff. So i won't be able to do the program tomorrow. Thursday we hope to have john zamira act zamira on the program. Just just mentioned real quick about drawn a friend reverend john rankin if you go to rev john rankin dot com. You can go and you can contribute to to help his ministry as well. He's passed away and they're looking for.

"I love charlie. And jack is talking about is is funny nature at times but i think we're all laughing because we don't know how else to react to. How serious this action. Because we precisely and so. But that's where all of you come in and the hundreds of thousands of people watching is that we're going to show the strength of that support network we're going to show the strength of staying engaged in saying involved. Okay well just so enclosing with this. They're going to screw this up. They're gonna mess it up so we have two choices one choice. Is we do a pity party. And we disengaged and then i guarantee you six months from now nine months from now there will be millions of people that want to come back into the republican conservative movement and we will not have done our job for six months and we'll just be sitting there being like. I thought it was over. I felt terrible in january. And unsubscribe to all the emails. And i told them to stop texting me and i told them. I'm not going to buy another pillow and i'm done no no by the pillow by the pillow. So that's one option or the other option. Is we say the more they throw at us are will will only strengthen our resolve will only strengthen the more that they try to break our will the more that they try to metaphorically blitz conservative christian movements. We are going to rebuild by day. And i will only rededicate ourselves more because then in six or nine months from now when this entrepreneurial genius is just exploding which i can already feel it. We're gonna new servers. Well have new phones. Left's new social media and it's gonna be messy at first you're gonna have like. What was that telegraph. What was that like. I have to do a podcasting. Yeah it's gonna get hard. Okay you're not gonna have one place to go for everything and then all of a sudden things will start to make sense again. Because that's the way that there's there's a rhythm to this stuff and then nine months we do our job. The democrats will have messed everything up. They're going to. They're going to be responsible for all that. I do hope they succeed. I do. I want the country to succeed. I'm not going to be like them like bill. Maher i hope for a session. I actually want what's best for the country. I just know what their policies actually ended up resulting. But here's what's going to happen if we do our job nine months from it'll happen like this. We're going to be so prepared with great candidates so enthused precinct committeeman positions filled. All those three boxes. There will be two thousand twenty two that will make twenty sixteen looked like a ripple and the democrats will get back into substantial power again and churches will be frame listen. Christians will be turning back to the bible. churches will be on fire. That used to be on fire. I think they'll be walking around trying to get churches on fire and listen. We need every church that teaches the word of god and everyone church. That doesn't stay closed but the listen there is going to be. There's going to be a move of the holy spirit. Because i don't think god's done this i don't think that's done with america in its spiritual covenant with god. There could be an amazing last moment of great revival great awakening. I pray for that. You should prepare your heart for that and church. Listen finally this and we didn't rehearse this do you want to tell them. About what a possible turning point. Usa oh well we will tease it. A little bit teaser. Very very big ideas to bring the model and we think we can do this through our expertise at turning point two churches all across the country to get more people more pastors to give them the organizational to give them the leaders. And the mentors like jack to start. Calvary chapel chino hills revolution across the country where pastors doing this through turning-point and throughout organizing capacity. I want you. If by two thousand twenty two there are hundreds of pastors that are preaching with the bold conviction of jackets. Because you imagine and and we we believe that we are able to bring a lot of the organizational expertise and capacity and they'll be some really really big announcements and we might wanna start a turning point chapter here at this church the good. I think it's waiting waiting because want we want the church to get involved in the accuracy. Alert aware what's going on around me. How do i bring the teachings of the bible to local civic government and so and here's the final final thing thank you for subscribing to the podcast. I do appreciate it because it's an over the top way to stay in touch. But here's here's the way. I'm gonna keep on doing this every day on my radio show. And here's how a really really gonna win if you do not show sadness or somber and you remain a happy for your. You want to drive the left nuts. Do you know how they they're still angry. They control everything. I'm watching msnbc and they're still screaming and yelling. Y they're angry. We know why they're angry. We are the happy warriors everybody. We have joy. We know how this works and more the more good cheer. Cheer the more that kindness that we have the more and that's tolerate injustice never. Should you tolerate injustice. But you should be compassionate. Veba will not know how to deal with us. Still say they don't control any government. We control the companies. I'm so angry precisely. Maybe there's something we have that you don't and precisely she's and so be of good. Cheer everybody. I know that feels like the walls are closing in. But i'm telling you right now. "In downtown miami florida. We have burgess owens former. Nfl player american from utah. We have byron douglas. We have some amazing success stories. Happen florida used to be something called a battleground states. Now we might as well call it. Alabama i mean it is like we win by four hundred thousand votes. It's not moving to florida's short a mixed theory on that. Because i'm totally supportive of iso maxing out beat battleground states but don't forsake the battle in front of you so i kind. If there's any good people out there california's a great place to move to now. I mean things are turning around. It happened in this last election. It's through we'll talk about later. But i think california's going to surprise people and i completely agree and you looked at. We can actually learn something from the left. If you would've told me ten years ago. Arizona would have to democrats senators and electric to a democrat. President said what state of arizona you talking about the left was relentless. Had a battle plan. They implemented it. They had faith even when things did not look good and they were perseverance in their persistent same is going to happen in california. You will win the state back eventually but it's going to take a dedication it's gonna take ten years fifteen years it might even happen quicker than but also let's go even just across the country. Ohio trump won eight and a half points iowa. We won by eight points. We across the country. This is the first time since one thousand nine hundred seven but the incoming president has less seats in the house of representatives meaning. He had no coat-tails whatsoever. Joe biden you may not know this about me but i'm kind of an undercover. Some people call it a nerd when it comes the studying the global economy. I love seeking out financial wisdom when it comes to my own portfolio. I always value precious metals. Noble gold is the firm. I trust buy gold and silver. From which conserves they had to protection in your ira. i reason. They are united states based company. Supporting american businesses is so incredibly important. Second reason noble gold as impeccable online reviews a great online reputation is a must if you're going to trust teams financial council third reason. Noble gold has an experienced staff who works hard to make life easy for you any paperwork that might pop up takes less than five minutes to complete. Maybe it's an old 401k. That needs a home. Maybe you're just like me and curious about your options. If so grab a free guide by visiting noble goal investments dot com to learn more. I respect this team. And i know you will as well called noble gold right now. Tell them you heard about investing on my show. They will find the right plan on your budget. That's noble gold investments dot com. And so we can. We can get into that to the over analyzing that that's a whole different thing but look here's the thing everybody. It feels awful. I get it but it wasn't a blowout it wasn't we won places we weren't supposed to win we advance territory. There's two states. That are big problem child's that are back in play almost instantaneously arizona. Georgia that have got to fix the way we do elections in this country. And that's got to be priority number one. This mail in ballot nonsense has gotta stop when we are just throwing ballots all over the place and jack georgia and arizona republican legislators. They have republican governors. And they have to start taking marching orders from their constituents where georgia had at. Its most two hundred and twenty five thousand mail in ballots back in two thousand sixteen. They had one point two million mail in ballots this last november now just from an economy of scale. Imagine jack if six tunnel you actually know what this is like six times. The amount of people show up for a sunday service than you anticipated so bad example but if anyone else out. There doesn't have booming wonderfully flourishing. Churches doesn't know what that's like. The point is that you don't have the infrastructure to be able to facilitate that. So they do. We'll because stacey. Abrams believed she never gave up. She was well-funded. She changed the way elections. Were done in georgia less convinced about persuasion and more convinced about actually the mechanics of how elections are done so the signature verification threshold has changed. Where kind of scribble is more acceptable than actually what exactly it says. In your driver's license these sort of kind of boring inconsequential. more legal. Fights never concerned us as conservatives. Because i is i mean what exact. It's in the courts all of a sudden realized and our election on the margins when you have twenty thousand votes being rejected when ninety seven thousand votes rejected back in two thousand sixteen. That's the difference between winning and losing georgia and with it. The united states senate and that has to be one of the top marching orders there. But here's the other thing. That i think is really promising is that the democrats did not win anywhere on any of their ideas or policies. Think about this. The only places that they won was pretend just pathologically hating donald trump and running on moderate policies. They did not win any of the things that they are now. Espousing in the united states senate nowhere to people show up and say you know. I want a democrat so we can have a robust debate on gender pronouns in the united states senate no one showed up and they said you know i want a democrat. Because i think it's about time we say a woman after we say a prayer in the united states congress. You're talking about right man okay. Just in case. She knows that they're just getting started right. And and that's that's one of the reasons. I have hope. And we'll get into that but it's the if conservatives play there we do things the right way and if we don't allow them to break our will here's one promise. I have for you tonight. More than anything else guarantee. So we know the laws of gravity. We know the laws of nature. We know the laws of thermodynamics. and there's the laws of the left the left screws up everything they touch everything. Everything force equals mass times. Acceleration an object at rest will stay at rest and everything. The left touches will get to utter and complete ruin and so they. They are unable to govern now. You might say charles over exaggeration. No it's absolutely true in. Here's why because every one of their policies run contrary to god's laws head god's nature every one of them and so this happens in california illinois new york so there's a collision point. We're all of a sudden. They spend money they don't have they fight against biology. They try to program human beings natural incentives and then people say something and this is gonna take like one hundred days. I want the republicans back in charge police. What is going on. You've got chuck schumer arguing to add. Puerto rico as a state. Anc screaming and then there's going to be an opportunity. I guarantee you this slim. Majorities the democrats will mess this up. They will and they're in control of everything jet they're terribly divided and they are there s each other and and that's the other takeaway in the hope that i have right now and i pray we can be more in lockstep than the democrats because now they're gonna fight over the feast and they don't have a lot of margins to fight over the feast we're talking about fifty fifty tie that would require calling in the vice president to break that tie which is no small feat to just go through that and the filibuster still intact and that would take mansion and more kelly and tester to all agree to vote on that. Which is it's easier said than done and the democrats are now actually going to have to demonstrate to the american people. What exactly they believe in why they believe in you. Have the keys to the kingdom. Joe biden. what are.

"From Fox News and Amazon elect. Calvary Chapel and Harbor is a non denominational church characterized by verse by verse, Bible teaching contemporary worship in an atmosphere of love and grace. Here's Dave Grubman, pastor of Calvary Chapel and Harbor in John, Chapter five. Before Jesus heals, a man had been paralyzed for 38 years. He asked him a profound but simple question. Do you want to be made? Well, the man's response does imply a desire to be healed, and then Jesus heals him. But the question is fascinating. Do you want to be made? Well, let's apply this to the need for emotional healing or spiritually healing. There's some who may be suffering from emotional hurts, but they cling to their inner anger or their self pity. They may be unwilling to forgive or unwilling to ask for forgiveness for a bitter or self consuming heart. Some people don't want to be made well, Furthermore, there are some who may be suffering from spiritually herds. They've tried various spiritual remedies to address inner emptiness, and they've been burned by them. Thus they find themselves unwilling to trust in the person of Christ. Justice. Jesus heals the man who'd been paralyzed for 38 years. He's able to bring about wonderful healing in our lives. Emotional healing, spiritually healing. He's the great physician. Let's be willing to be made. Well, thank you for listening. Well, you just said if it increases the spread of the virus, I'm just asking should be limited. Well, I'm not in a position to determine what the government could do in a forceful way. While you make all kinds of recommendation. You make comments on dating on baseball and everything you can imagine. I'm just asking. You just said protest increased to spread. I'm just asking. Should we try to limit the project? I think I would leave that to people who have more of a position to do that. I can tell you government stopped people from going to church Doctor Falke. Yeah. Last week in the Calvary Chapel Case. Five liberals on the Supreme Court said it was okay for Nevada to limit church services. 100. I mean, justice, Gorsuch said it best, he said. 5 Minutes in Church History

The Jesus People

"This episode of five minutes in Church history. Let's just go back into the recent past about fifty years ago or so. So and the founding of the Jesus people are sometimes called the Jesus Movement or sometimes called Jesus freaks these folks began in nineteen sixty eight in California. This was the era of the Hippie. These hippies descended upon southern California and some churches there and some Christians there decided they would reach out out to these hippies and bring them to Christ and so we have the beginning of the Jesus Movement in Nineteen. seventy-one Billy Graham. I'm was invited to be the Grand Marshal of the Rose Parade and as he sat in his float and it made its way down towards the Rose Bowl. He noticed that the streets were lined with literally hundreds of these long haired youth holding up one finger. Their Index Finger pointed to heaven with the one way sign and and that was the sign of the Jesus people. This caught Billy Graham's attention and he wrote a book called the Jesus generation that year went through many printings and sold well over a half half a million copies and put the Jesus people on the map of the media and on the map of the American church. Well what can we make of this phenomenon of the Jesus people well I we have to see that. They had a huge impact on American evangelicalism. They both reflected trends in American evangelicalism. Awesome and they also set some new trends. They tended to be very pentecostal. They focused very much on signs and wonders. And they were fixated on these supernatural super-natural experiences that they had an would share with each other. Secondly they totally changed the look of the church. These are not folks wearing suits and sitting in pews. These were tank top short flip flop wearing kids. Who would sit cross legged on the floor? But it wasn't always how they looked it was is also how they approached Church found this fascinating article from December. Twenty five nine thousand nine hundred seventy one in the San Bernardino County Sun Sun the newspaper for Hollywood and the article reads Pat Boone's home swimming pool used for baptisms Beverly Everley Hills California. It was actually picked up by the and the first sentence says in the swimming pool behind his magnificent home in posh Beverly Hills Pat Boone. Baptises the repentance. The article goes on to talk about within about six months time. Well over two hundred and fifty baptisms took place in Pat Boone's swimming pool and number of those baptisms were of musicians and that takes us to another significant impact of the Jesus people well.
