"Com. In nineteen eighty to the California state assembly, consumer protection committee Kerr testimony from experts who claim that this popular song was satanic and when played backwards. It said quote sing because I live with Satan. The Lord turns me off there's no escaping it. Here's to my sweet Satan. What song was it? Ironically, it was Led Zeppelin stairway to heaven. Nineteen ninety Janet Jackson. Escapade escapade was the third single from her fourth album rhythm nation, eighteen fourteen. It was the third of seven top five singles from the album. What if the raiders of the track said that they heard the word escapade used in conversation and thought it would make a good title? And theme song was inspired by nineteen sixty five track by Martha and the Mandelas nowhere to run which Jackson almost covered for the album before choosing to record a new song. Instead. The name. Billy ocean was born Leslie Charles in Trinidad and Tobago. His father was a musician. He got involved with music at a very early age his family moved to England when he was eight and in his teenage years he regularly sang clubs. He even got a record deal and released a single under the name les. "A couple of breaking stories, we're gonna share it a little bit here. The woman of the year is apparently selected by the California state assembly plant, even from California, she comedian Kathy Griffin. Woman of the year. Right saying she will not support another old white guy in twenty twenty two. We even care what the hell she says. Why is she would it be here? The state also Michael Jackson. Controversial in Quebec. There are three radio stations in Quebec that have stopped playing his music site the child abuse allegations, they're back at this decision came after the airing of the HBO documentary leaving Neverland it's kind of a wild story. But definitely gonna get to this one phones. But let's do a Darren you're on came Jay. Hi. Hey, Ray, I'm calling to make the call me about Michael Cohen. Because I have never heard any. Of course. I absolutely watched Lord that dissenting views on TV, then the FOX or anything like that. But I've never heard anybody say what I believe is primary reason is why he's why he spoke against the president. I believe that Michael Cohen is flipping because he was a democrat before he went into the White House. If I may tell you because of my private conversations with him, a very, very, very, very, very passionate democrat, go ahead. Right. So so my theory is that he's thinking about when he gets out. Okay. When you get out would you and you're going back to New York, very liberal. Would you rather go back to New York as a disgraced lawyer, adding slipped on Donald Trump or or or staying on your side by speaking against Donald Trump? He's now what hero to the liberals? He's doing is he's setting himself up when he goes back to New York you'll be loved what he's speaking about his life after he gets out he's playing for after Krizan not necessarily now. That's my belief is. So when he gets back to New York, he's a hero. He bad Jewish circles. That's the only way he could get his old life back. What can I can? I can let the cat other back and tell you what he's aspirations are. What is that? This is something that's told me years and years ago, he wants to be the mayor of New York City. Well, there you go. So. Point we shutting himself up. So how? Big. Liberals in New York, he was to go back into that society. So he's quitting. He's playing. Chessel as playing somewhat of a chess game. He's I don't even know. What's going on? Now. He's he's only going to serve two three years. A young guy. Later. Larry believe that's what I that's that's the conclusion I've come to. We would go down to the restaurant down here of Paul Viollis had heard it's called. It's called the ball. I guess it was and he would he would say to me he's van. I I really like you. And I I really appreciate what you're doing for the boss. But he says you gotta understand. I cannot stand listening to you on the air. We both sit there and laugh, and that's when we get these conversations about his personal politics. And he was just he's a vowed New York Jewish liberal, very atypical. Not shocking at all, you know. So yeah, it's amazing to hear that gee, whiz setting himself up for the future, da. Yeah. I hear you loud and clear. Thank you, sir has all right. Take care. Getting back to the McConnell story here very quickly. In a follow up from what I was talking about yesterday. He's now saying that when he's speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill analogy late yesterday that opponents of the declaration of the national emergency. Have enough votes. In the Republican led Senate now to prevail are the real resolution aimed at the blocking of the move McConnell who fell in line behind the Trump thing despite his own misgivings. And he has some about the move about the, you know, the declaration said that Trump will veto the resolution. And that is likely to be sustained in congress. His remarks. He's home state, by the way. Came after a Senator rand Paul became the latest GOP Senator he's number four as I mentioned to say he can't go along with the White House of emergency declaration. So this is setting up a veto. It'll be the first the Donald Trump has ever thrown out there, and it should come. As those surprise. It's it's a little surprising to me that some of the Republicans are peeling away. But looking at who they are and giving the reasons why they are appealing away. I guess it doesn't surprise me that much. It's disheartening because I'd like to see us all white up on the same page. I do agree with the the emergency declaration. I think he's well within the presidential right to be able to do so excuse me to be able to do. So the way the the Democrats are responding to it. I think is laughable saying, hey, you better beware. Because the next president can use the same thing to take away guns. They're using that as a threat, but they're using it like as a cautionary threat, you better not do it. Obviously, the Democrats are so full of it on that one. Because that would be exactly what they want. Of course, it would be a gift to them. If President Trump did this that would allow that the president is set up with the next democratic president wherever that may be if they were out of their mind enough to do that to issue this executive order on God's how would that be sustained congress at the time, it would depend upon the congressional makeup. But I doubt that it would ever come to pass that we would have national declaration of emergency. That would stand. That's the point. That would stand to the point where goods could be confiscated. I don't think we will see the day when we come back. We'll talk about this Kathy Griffin story woman of the year in California. Why enter combat about the presidency had twenty twenty. But right now, it's a news update on KBA with the news. It's era debate here. Twenty four year old man shot and killed in northwest, Fresno. Police say twenty four year old Kaelin broach art was found unresponsive in a parking lot on three thousand block of north Parkway early Saturday morning. Homicide. Investigators are reviewing surveillance video from the area. You don't anything about the shooting gabelli crime stoppers? Four nine eight stop House Democrats investigation of President Trump going deeply into the president's personal business and political life with the Doug Monroe requests, it contains a list of Eighty-one people agencies and entities. White House officials say that essentially they feel that the Democrats have made a misstep here that this is too broad too expansive. And that they if they had gone after targeted lines of inquiry. They could have been more successful. But now that they've essentially gone after so many people that they believe they're going to be able to successfully argued that the Democrats are on a fishing expedition here, Sarah Sanders hinted at in her statement, she said in their opinion, the Democrats are not after the truth. They're just after the president Gutmann Golan's reporting from the White House. The Dow thirteen boards right now topping out at fifty seven more rain in Fresno this afternoon, fifty five our low tonight high tomorrow, sixty six rain continuing to Thursday fifty-six right now Radio City news on the hour on the half. And. When it breaks. I married debate. You start five eighty one of nine AM. Jay. Thank you, sir. Coming up on Cam J stories concerning some of your favorite people, Kathy Griffin. Michael Jackson together, of course. But that's next on Cam J in Stein book.

"Gloria is going to run for the mayor. And I guess he just finished up some media availability. He was doing California state assembly member. Todd, Gloria Democrats San Diego held a media availability to address and discusses decision to run for the mayor of San Diego announcing his candidacy earlier today. He's a former San Diego city council member. He's a council president and interim mayor is currently the California state assembly member, but the seventy eighth district and the democratic party's majority whip. So it's going to run for mayor mayor of the city of San Diego, which looked anybody can run for whatever they want to run for right? I mean, you can do whatever you wanna do is great. Announced earlier today that. Wants to be the mayor for everybody in San Diego saying that it's clear that San Diego needs strong experienced and progressive leadership in the mayor's office leadership that has the courage to take our city beyond business as usual solve longstanding problems that face our city. That's why he's running for mayor San Diego may be America's finest city, but we should strive to be more than just fine. We should dare to be great. Okay. Like, I said, hey, you wanna run for office? That's great run for office. But you know, here's my question for you. And I'm asking this in an absolutely serious way. We get caught up in a lot of the stuff that's going on nationally, and that's fine. And we can pound the stuff that's going on nationally. But I do you want a progressive mayor running the city is sandy. Why haven't we had enough progressive politics in the state rotting the state out from underneath us oppressive taxation insane climate policy bullet trains to nowhere streets at that barely function taxes that are out the wazoo literally geographically speaking the taxes are coming out of your zoo. I mean, it's it's an unbelievable thing. And I just I look at this. And I go do we need more progressive leadership. I mean, honestly, raise your hand. If today at breakfast, you were sitting there with your loved ones. And you said God, you know, what we need in this city. We need more progressivism, we need more progressive politics in the city, we need to be more like Sanford. In fact, yes, we need to be more. Like San Francisco. Here's the thing. People come from all kinds of backgrounds and walks of life. But how is it that a person who has never I don't think he's ever worked in the private sector has he ever worked in the private sector is Kevin Faulkner ever worked in the private sector have any of these politicians Nathan Fletcher ever worked in the private. I think these people at the. The supervisor level at the city council level, and you guys ever like make a payroll have to pay business taxes have to do compliance and OSHA minimum wage increases. You don't know anything about that world. You just know about regulation, and I gotta be honest with you after watching Nancy and Chuck flap their gums for the last twenty four hours about how everybody's suffering because of the shutdown guess what food stamps for funded through February. Nobody's starving to death. They haven't even missed a paycheck yet. Okay. You haven't missed a paycheck yet. You haven't been paid yet during the shutdown because no one has hit a payday yet. So I mean come on now. But these people who have no understanding of what it's like to be a regular normal person running a business concern operating from the private sector perspective. And you're gonna come in and be a great progressive. Gavin Newsom, tell me about your businesses that you ran Jerry Brown. Tell me about your businesses that you ran camera Harris, tell me about the jobs you created other than commute new organize. I really am sick and tired of progresses. I'm just sick and tired because they run around. And all they try to tell you is what we need is more regulation. You know, what you can't pay your mortgage with regulation? Okay. I can't hire. Somebody to expand. My company with regular regulation doesn't close my kid feed. My kid pay my mortgage regulation. Don't do any of that. You don't regulation. Does it steals it steals potential from people? And if I sorry, I just don't see that the prescription for what we need in. This state is more progressivism, progressivism has become regressive. It is punitive is power. It is power mad. It is power Centric. It is the problem is the problem. How about you know, what I'll take Ilan freaking mosque. Okay. I'll take Elon Musk. I'll take Peter the'll. I'll take people who have created value and wealth. I'll take. Tau take Jeff Bezos runs a business. He understands a business. He's not my Cup of tea politically. But I mean, can we just get somebody who is not going to be hostile to business creators and to employers really, these people sit they sit at the city council, we did it yesterday talking about Kris wards jihad against styrofoam, and the fact that he goes, and he brings these simple people who are city council members who do not understand what they're doing to their own constituencies. That was written up in the voice of San Diego. Yesterday. You understand like how offensive that is that they go, and they get these new city council members that don't even go and talk to their constituents who are running mom and pop restaurants and food trucks, and that sort of stuff, and they don't even tell them we're banning the styrofoam you're gonna face fines, you're gonna face sanctions. Your costs are going to go up. And they're like, we just we didn't know what to tell. Them. So we told them nothing. God, that's disgusting. That is just wrong. These people run around the progressive. We're going to have more transparency we need more transparency in the government people need to understand what it is. That's going on. Okay question. Tell me about your style of accounting with your business. Tell me how you do accounting. Tell me about carried interest. Tell me about how it is that you expense. Tell me how it is that you know, you're profitable. Tell me how you know this, and you know. And the problem is there are there are hundreds of thousands of people listening to the station right now who agree with me. Okay. And there are folks who are just too polite to say it, but I'm just sick and tired of politicians running. Thanks people who are career politicians have ruined the country. Let me say it again. Okay. People who are career politicians have destroyed the country. The reason why people are at each other's throats on the national level. Okay. The reason why they're at each other's throats is the byproduct of professional full-time careerist politicians who only understand how to set that group against that group. And you understand how to go and give speeches at the committee for the protection of hooey. And we're going to the federated association of federated hooey, and we're going over here for concerned citizens of blah, blah, and we are over here. The public collective of ya ya. And none of it means anything anything. There is no metric for success. There is no accountability. Because you cannot expect people who have never been held accountable except for every two four or six years to understand that accountability. Runs in a much tighter window accountability goes quarter to quarter year over year. Not every two years. Two years. Aren't you? Aren't you? Tired of like, aren't you? Tired of people like Nathan Fletcher running the show, and and people like Faulkner running the show and all these people were perfect. I mean, there are professional politicians. Never employed. Anybody except for lawyers, and lobbyists and people who are pollsters. That's the jobs. You've created you've created polling jobs. You've created vote harvesters. You have created people who get out there and try to Spain. And you've paid consultants to do ads, but you've never created anything of actual value where somebody sits in their house, and they go thank God. Thank god. This this congress person before they went to office invented this thing. How did Nancy Pelosi maker fortune five make maker fortune had the Kennedys make their fortune government government government government government government, largess Darrow is to make his four to private sector. Created something market. It's up sold. Some the people want it. What I'm no fan of Bob corker. I didn't like Bob corker. But you know, what I much I disagree with the guys politics. He was a builder backing Chattanooga. Tennessee can't stand Mitt Romney didn't support Romney and didn't like Romney in two thousand twelve could not cannot stand Mitt Romney. But you know, what he's actually worked in business and created valuation and investment, and and upside for people why because he worked in the private sector and the finance business. You may not like Trump you may disagree with Trump. The guy has employed a lot of people building buildings managing buildings branding buildings running TV enterprise running golf courses running all these sorts of properties that he's got a lot of people worked for the guy. What does Beto got camera? Got what do any of these folks have? Progressive ideas that are guaranteed to make us all equal Lee poor so nothing personally against Todd Gloria. He wants to run as the progressive. Great wants to be the savior of the city wonderful. I'm just asking that we aspire to to a better brand of politician locally statewide and nationally people who've actually got some measure of a track record. Some measure of track. Why used to be the director of outreach for the outreach department of the outreach organization. That's really nice. Isn't that spectacular? You know, I used to be a part of the listening tour for what for whom? The problem is government is force government. Cannot quantify cannot improve the quality of lives for people, but for taking property and rights from one group and transferring property and rights to the federal government to the state government to the city government to the commute and the organization and then parse out favors largess and dollars to loyal subject. I'm not a subject,.

"Director James call me in the hallways of it. Looks like the executive congressional offices. That was the CNN feed. We will take your calls on this and other stories. I don't blurted you learn much from that interview. Just that they talked about Hillary's emails so annoyed annoyed. Those are there, but we're gonna take a little break. It's lawrence. No. We're not. Oh, okay. We'll go back to our our friend. Travis Allen who is formerly with the Republican member of the California state assembly. Travis did you learn anything from Mr. Comey there? You know, look, I think as it relates to the national political scene. I think the American public has a right to know what was in those emails, but I think and I hope it through this congressional process. They'll get to the bottom of it. I just hope that there's a lot less partisan bickering and a lot more transparency to come out of it. And before we dropped out to talk to hear from Mr. call me, we were talking about pulling California back together. Where are you gonna find the leaders for this new new attempt Lorna, everyone I talked to wants to be a part of something. But they're not quite sure what they wanna do. You know what I mean? Like, I hear people go part of I would like to help pull things back together. Things are out of control. Then you ask them. What are you gonna do? So what did you find out what the problem is? Would you like what would you like to people who is going to be the leaders of the future Lord? And I are Bir throwing our hats the ring, right? No. Maybe not. Go ahead. I know Travis go. Go ahead. Listen, listen, Republicans ask themselves same things to in. The answer is is this is I'm actually running currently right now to be the next chair of the Republican party more these exact reasons for imagine for a moment. The reason one of the reasons Republicans wash for twenty years is the leadership the Republican party establishment. If you will has basically follow the same tried and true approach or so they thought if we talk about fiscal issues Republicans, you know, we can talk these logical arguments that seemed to make sense the problem is that they have ignored all of the five million, California Republicans, and the millions more of independence the care about issues that we deeply care about things that we talked about like education wildfire management safe communities getting the homeless off our streets. These are the real issues matter, and you asked where is the leadership come from comes from the Californians that are all still here. This is why built up, you know, social media and got some like five hundred thousand dollars or something like that on Facebook at joint. Allen, but without the plug their it's to say that you know, we all the sixty thousand plus volunteer. He's across state the people are there in California. They just haven't been organized properly, the California Democrats simply put out organized out planned out executed, the California Republicans, and that's exactly we gotta change change it by bringing it back to ordinary people. And he never issues that they care about in their neighborhoods wildfires in Malibu will let's let's take a look at some some basic wildland management. So the fires are not as bad. It doesn't have to this new abnormal or get these sweeping wildfires every decade or two, you know, homelessness in in downtown LA. The problem is that the ACLU attacks every time anybody attempts to help people for whom their resistance to care and their desire to be on. This street is a result of a profound mental illness. And so if you expanded conservative ship and expanded the definition of gravely disabled, this problem would be immediately taken care of and all those people you helped and got off the street would be pissed that anyone let them languish and live like that without trying to help them. Why can't someone show the leadership to step up and freaking do that? I don't understand. Look, I got to tell you you should be the name of lantern and act reform Blattman after exactly what you're talking about. And that is absolutely something that should be taken it because this is the issue with Republicans in California. What what we have to understand is a Republican issues are actually everybody's have nothing to do with the president United States solely. What if you don't like Trump, and and that's totally understandable pleases. People say, wait a second. Why should have to worry about wildfires constantly my backyard? Why should I have to downtown LA and see all these people as human misery when it doesn't need to be this way. Laws that we can change the Sixers as you mentioned, and what it actually takes is. It takes a unified political party to get that done. So by the way, if you'd like to work on that legislation even though the legislature now, I have a bunch of people that would love to take it up with you. Because. I can't go to sleep at night. I don't understand why we call ourself a civilization, and as I've been saying all summer when we had our typhus outbreak, which I predicted there's going to be major infectious disease problems as a result of the rodent overgrowth that that is really the the public health problem associated with this aside from the public health issue that the has people on the street like that but Travis I got to wrap it up. Again. What is the Facebook page again? Facebook. Join Travis Allen and the race for the next Republican party chairmanship, and really, you know, the revitalization. The Republican revolution has it is it's all going to happen in February. So if if you're paying e sort of attention to all, and you want to have to say in the Republican party by me over there on social media, send me a message. And you know, let's let's do everything we can to bring balance back to California because we live in a great state. Unfortunately, some of the management we could probably do a bit better. And that's exactly what the Republican party, please. It was anything to do with helping the homeless thing. Let me know. Okay. I love you. I think he got the right idea at high perfect. That is Travis Allen. This is Lawrence. Von Dr drew midday live. Dr.

These guys are nuts frankly, but all right, so you can get your tesla upgraded, but also you got something about net neutrality. Oh, I do. Okay. We love talking about net neutrality. That's one of your favorite subject. Yeah, California assembly approves the air quotes here because I can't, which, but it's in quotes gold standard net neutrality Bill after rough road. Okay. Okay. This is California. Now keep that in mind, land of fruits and nuts. It'll be coming here soon. Yeah, Connecticut is gonna season. It always follows California. Anyway, the Bill offers the strongest protections on net neutrality yet and sends. A message to the rest of the country. Ooh. California's taking the lead when it comes to saving net neutrality, the California state assembly voted to approve a Senate Bill that offers the strongest protections for net neutrality. The bell, the Bill, which passed fifty eight to seventeen. We'll head back to the Senate for another vote. It's expected to pass their and then would go to governor Jerry Brown's desk. We'll sign it. And these guys, really, this is why we need more technology folks involved in legislatures than than lawyers. Nothing gets lawyers. You guys are great, but you need people who are looking at understanding technology regulations and taxes at the continuing to, you know, well, we gotta fix thing. So let's just do more laws. Okay. Whether the laws fix anything or not doing something, even if it's something bad, we're doing something crazy. Anyway. The point is that the regulations and taxes that they're doing in California. That's such the point that they even beat in Connecticut. I think because nine percent of the population is leaving the state of California. Reiner. So the net neutrality, did they have any penalties or any kind of talk about anything other than their they've issued a law does l. thinks this is like a four page article. So any highlights in there are no, if now we can talk further about net neutrality. Well, let me see Senate Bill eight, twenty two, which was already approved by the Senate, had a more difficult time in the assembly. Basically what they did is they watered it down. So then they had to go around and it went back through and they made it stronger, and they're going to go back to the Senate to have them approve it. But again, net neutrality has been basically two thousand fifteen. The Obama administration put in some net neutrality rules which were recently rolled back months and months ago. You guys didn't even notice even though Chris Murphy probably send you an Email about the dangers of not having net neutrality and it's where big content, right. Big content is worried about having their content slowed or charged extra for well, internet service provider. Such as Comcast's at AT and t. as well as wireless carriers, such as Verizon t. mobile and sprint, right opposed the legislation, arguing that zero rating actually benefits consumers because it gives them a break on their phone Bill and that the interconnection aspect would not hurt business erect, but so zero rating allowed people like Verizon or what have you bundle and other services and not hit your data. Great. So for instance, you could watch that Netflix movie on Verizon ver-. Isan. Yeah, without it affecting will maybe not usage, which whatever deal they came up with, whether variety HBO or whatever. It might be t mobile HBO, whatever they had packages. So. And if you went to an HBO was in your package and you went to be, oh, wouldn't count against your data? Exactly. And and net neutrality says, no, you can't do that. So then you can't shop around for the best bargain. You gotta pay for everything. There's that. And again, the big content, apple, Facebook, Google net, flicks they were all supposed. Only yet you YouTube worried about having these big internet companies throttle or charge more for their data coming at them and which hasn't happened number one. And if it did happen, fine, let it happen that the market work it out. No, we need to make sure all data is treated equally. It's not how the internet works folks that is not what you want. You want competition, you want the ability for these networks to manage their networks themselves into a competitive environment where another competitor comes in and says, I'm gonna give it to you for less..
