To the First Amendment what it means is the idea is that religious employers whose employees are dealing primarily with the teaching or other practice of religion can't sue for discrimination under federal discrimination laws, the ideas that would bring the court into a dispute that would largely be about religion in the first. Amendment says that that's not what the government is supposed to do so there is an exception here. The question in this case is whether that exception applies to people who aren't ministers. In this case, teachers whose job whose jobs involved at least in part teaching religion and the court found that it does that these teachers cannot make claims of employment discrimination. Both of them had been dismissed. For reasons that they said were discriminatory, the court said there's no action there because their job involved religion, and they were employed by a religious employers, it expanded that ministerial exception. What was the counterargument from the two dissenting justices? Yes, so the the dissenting justices. Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote a dissent that was joined by Justice Ruth, Bader Ginsburg and Sotomayor essentially said she feared that this will just allow a religious employers to claim that any of their employers have.

"All right things. First. Let's talk about the worst news of the week. I. The California farm. That was connected to the e coli outbreak in Romain lettuce has a new announcement. Yes. What's next caliph lower? Oh, and other lettuces I I did did not not. read the entire article. So I don't know. Is there actually banned or being recalled, this is a journalist endeavor? It's probably best. If you just devoid all vegetables salad through twenty eighteen. Yeah. My my twenty eighteen and of your recommendation is avoid vegetables who eats vegetables in December. Anyway, cookies are Christmas vegetables. This is about sugar carbs. This is about cakes and cookies and ice creams and coffee cakes to leave out heads of lettuce for Santa. No, no. You do that for the Easter bunny? He's a little bitch. I know, and I don't know. I don't know. I don't have anything against these funny. I don't actually know the full. I again, I probably should have done more research on the topic. But I feel like I've heard through the grapevine that the Trump presidency has been all about deregulating government agencies, which is there because people are like oh government is bad, except when the government make sure that there's no fucking E coli on your goddamn, mushrooms. And so because they've started deregulating the FDA like regulations are more lax. And now our fucking vegetables are disgusting. I don't I don't truly understand how you can like deregulate lettuce. I don't know. Next a city in Massachusetts kilt, a bunch of beavers after realizing that their dams combined with heavy rainfall were causing hazardous flooding conditions. They were like, oh my God, we're flooding. You know, what we should do massacre all the beavers? Rounded them all up, and they they shot them. The city of framingham are not regrets like they're framing the beavers. They posted they posted a statement on Facebook that says the city of framingham regrets that it was placed into a set of circumstances that resulted in the demise of papers that was like passive voice times tend to take the subject of that sentence. Is that the city of framingham murdered the beavers? Okay. You can't twist these words around to make it seem like the beavers just died and murdering the beavers for doing their jobs. So damn well. Yeah, it's not their fault that you built your fucking house by a river. That's what happens when it floods. I guess we're just going to blame climate change on the beavers. No, no. They're like sorry. Sorry. We had to we were. We were pushed into a corner. And now we have to kill all the beavers. You know, they just wanted some hats. I mean, I hope that they would at least use them. And not just like throw them away. Oh, yeah. And it says since trappers are prohibited by Massachusetts law from relocating beavers trapped animals are most often euthanized. According to the statement, but you know, who made that law the fucking government of Massachusetts. The same rhetoric is who took out the beavers. So maybe you can make an exception and pick them up and drop them off somewhere else. Like, my mom did to those rabbits. We found in our backyard fifteen years ago. All right P, those rabbits next a southern California Catholic school. There's not going to be good discovered that its former principal at another. When attorney general Jeff Sessions announced a new zero tolerance policy for anyone illegally crossing the border, and that Chow will be separated from you probably as required by law by June more than two thousand children had been separated from their parents as a result, and we saw up close the trauma of families face. This mother told me she's been traveling for a month. She broke down not Minnesota. Give me thought she tells me gangs threatened to kill her child. The Alrighty killed his father. And as the outcry grew over that President Trump issued an executive order to keep families detained together like the site with a feeling of families being separated. A judge though said you've got thirty days to reunite the ones that you've already separated. Well, it's December. And we'll the vast majority of those children are marking the holidays with mom or dad or proper guardian somewhere. There are still eight children eight who still don't have their parents near them ABC's and Flaherty has been keeping track of this. Hey, and hey brand. So why are these children's still separated from their families? Well, we don't know exactly why we do know that there were almost twenty six hundred kids in a matter of weeks as you said who are separated from their family. And we know that the government didn't do the best job of tracking. Everybody sent in some cases. A lot of the parents were sent home to their home countries, they were deported and the kids were put in protective custody and farmed out to these shelters around the United States until the US government could figure out what to do with them. And when the judge ordered everybody to be reunited, they had to figure it out and sort through everyone's personal case to figure out where they belonged we'd so does the government know where these children's parents, our don't they they do the HHS. This is the health and human services, which became guardians of all. All of the children who were separated from their parents at the border. They have told me that they know where all of the parents are that they have figured this out. So it's a matter of trying to put them together in one of these cases, I know that the adult is in US custody, but they won't say why for privacy reasons in another case, the parent has already been deported back home. So it's just it's a lot of logistics. Basically is what it is and trying to get these parents to be reunited with the kids wanna and you've reported there are a few dozen kids that the government said this guardians a danger were not going to reunite them. And then I thought this was interesting there at least one hundred kids with parents asked not to be United because possibly they didn't want to take them to the violence back home. But for these eight that are left where do they live? What what do they do all day? Well, these eight kids would have been put into HHS custody with the other fourteen thousand kids that the US government already takes care of. And this is something that I don't think a lot of people realize is that there are. A lot of teens and older children who are attempting to cross the border alone and the can't be prosecuted in the same way than an adult can be prosecuted. So they immediately get turned over to health and human services, and then they get farmed out to these shelters. So for example in Texas. They haven't tent city it's called tornado. It's got about two thousand kids in it. And most of them are older kids. We know that the younger children who were separated from their parents at the border as a result zero-tolerance were put in that mix of those fourteen thousand kids at various shelters. I don't have exactly where those eight kids are because of privacy reasons, but we know that they've been living inside of these shelters have been taken care of. It's been almost eight months after that zero tolerance announcement those eight children still waiting to learn their fate and lodger staying on this. Thank you. Thank you. And one last thing. "How about the public schools when you ever hear anybody on the left to talk about sexual abuse inside the public schools, there's an Associated Press report from may twenty seventeen it found seventeen thousand official reports. Official reports of sex assaults on students from fall twenty eleven to spring at twenty fifteen at amazing, seventeen thousand official reports. We're talking Pennsylvania about one thousand reports over the course of thirty years here you're talking about in the public schools, seventeen thousand official reports of sex assaults on students. In four years alone according to Hofstra university researcher, Cheryl shake shaft who performed the study for the department of education in two thousand to the physical. Sexual abuse of students in schools is likely more than one hundred times the abused by priests. A federal report found four hundred twenty two thousand California. Public school students would be victimized by sexual abuse before graduation, which was every time more than the entire California Catholic school enrollment. Was the survey from the American Association of university women and found that one in ten students from eighth to eleventh grade said they'd been subjected to sexual comments, pornography, peeping, or sexual contact from a teacher or school employees, which would being four point five million students across America between kindergarten and twelfth grade who suffered sexual abuse by an educator, have you ever heard anybody on the left to talk about any of that stuff? Of course, not even when the media reported it's relegated to secondary status, which is one of the reasons why immediately. Yeah, we covered it right. But did you cover it with the same sort of alacrity and anger, the cover abuse in the Catholic church. If the answer is no, I have to assume the reason you're covering the Catholic church differently than you cover the sanctified public schools is because you liked the public schools and you don't like the Catholic church. That is the rationale and it feels like every day there's a new assault from the left on fundamental values at the New York Times is constantly promoting a certain agenda with regard to key values that we all hold dear key values like, you know, mothers and fathers. I have to go through this great editorial. I'm gonna in great. I mean, it's just awful freaking garbage over the New York Times by by a guy named Kevin noble Mailer. He is a professor, I believe, at Syracuse university, and he was working on a book about modern fatherhood in America, which is always a bad sign, his the title of his pieces when being a good dad gets you promoted to mommy. Okay. And here's what he says. I'm a sucker for dramatic homecomings. I love stories of reunited siblings and devour videos of dogs, greeting returning soldiers. But I participate in my own reunion spectacle. Every weekday when I pick up my three year old from preschool, she charges at me like I'm an unintended bowl of cheddar goldfish. Mommy, she squeals horseshoe ain't this dude horseshoe in her tiny arms around my neck before she calls the emotion with the demand for food. Mommy, you have snack. My partner momma who is female is not there. I like it. We have to clarify all these things now. Not my not my wife, my partner, mama comma, who is female. Thanks for that. He says, when our daughter says, mommy, she's talking to me her father. When my partner heard about this, she laughed. It's always weird to hear people who have a child together. Talk about their partners is though they formed an LLC to have the kid..
